If anyone knows how to put together an epic set list, it's Def Leppard.
Lead singer Joe Elliot and co-lead guitarist Phil Collen stopped to chat with iHeartRadio on the red carpet ahead of their performance at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival to discuss all things Vegas Residency and to tell an unbelievable story about one of their most popular songs. While their Vegas Residency shows featured a melody of songs, Elliot and Collen revealed that their performances at festivals feature more back-to-back fan favorites.
"It's so much fun. You know obviously the favorites, we have to do them. We play the crown jewels tonight. It's an electric set tonight."
Speaking of the "crown jewels" one of their greatest hits actually became popular among strippers in Florida before it peaked anywhere else in America.
"It was because of 'Pour Some Sugar On Me' and what happened was that started getting requested on the radio by strippers in Florida. And that is the God's honest truth. And it became a massive hit down there and everyone goes 'why is this happening' and it was because of that."
Walsh candidly shared that this is what caused the song to "spread like wildfire" across the rest of the U.S.
