Imagine Dragons Finally Reveal Inspiration Behind 'Nice To Meet You'

Imagine Dragons released their most recent album, LOOM, earlier this year and with it a slew of masterful lyrics and melodies.

The band spared a moment to speak with iHeartRadio about a few of the tracks on the electrifying new record and zoomed in on the meaning behind one special song in particular.

Lead singer Dan Reynolds revealed that "Nice To Meet You" "is really a song about relationships in their early stages where you're meeting the friends, your meeting the family, and kind of the turmoil that can come from that. You're kind of dating their friends you know, and their friends have a lot of opinions. Some are warranted you know, everybody's protective of the people you love. So that song kind of examines that dynamic."

iHeartRadio's Emily Curl recognized the band for being "so real" for their response, before zooming in on the cheers in the second chorus of the hit that was an actual cheers from when the band completed the album!
