Brian Kelley shared a throwback photo from his wedding day with wife Brittney Kelley in honor of the couple’s 11th wedding anniversary on Monday (December 16).

The singer-songwriter tied the knot with his wife in 2013, in an intimate ceremony hosted at their home in Nashville, Tennessee. The wedding took place after the Kelleys had been dating for only about seven months, per PEOPLE at the time, though they’d known one another for a few years. Kelley said in his anniversary tribute on Monday that the wedding took place so quickly, “there was some chatter about us doing it because some people may have thought (Brittney was) pregnant.” Instead, however, the Ed & Mary Margaret’s Son artist said they got married because he “couldn’t wait to start (life) with you!”

Kelley marked “11 years today!!!!!! [Brittney Kelley] happy anniversary!!!! I love you so much!!! I remember when we got married so quick there was some chatter about us doing it because some people may have thought you were pregnant. That wasn’t the case. I saw the rest of my life in front of me and I couldn’t wait to start it with you!! 11 years and millions of memories later, look at us!! Love you, love our life and I’m so grateful for every single day with you!!!”

Brittney posted an anniversary tribute of her own, writing: “11 years ago we got married in the yard of our first house, well treehouse, and the rest is history 🤍 ILYSM [Brian Kelley].”

The Kelleys have been in “anniversary mode” as they traveled together over the weekend. Kelley PEOPLE when he got married: “If you know us, you know that we really just dance to our own beat. We thought, ‘Let’s do it our way.’ …There was no official proposal or exchanging of rings. We had just fallen in love, and I knew I couldn’t live without her. It sounds like a terrible cheesy movie, but when you know, you know! With her, I just really wanted nothing more than to be married.”
