Chris Young immediately had an answer when asked about his dream collaboration.
Young previously caught up with iHeartRadio’s Emily Curl over a game of “Wheel of Stories,” and when asked his dream duet partner, the country star quickly named powerhouse singer-songwriter Carrie Underwood.
“I love singing with people that make me want to sing better,” Young said. “I’ve been really lucky, you know, over the years to sing alongside Cassadee Pope (‘Think of You’), and Vince Gill (‘Sober Saturday Night’), and all the people on this record [Famous Friends, which also features Kane Brown on the title track]. It’s a very cool thing to be paired with somebody who just has a fantastic voice, and she certainly does. And I actually, I’ve never gotten to work with her before. I’ve opened for her, (but) never got to do a song with her. I would say that’s on the bucket list.”
Young launched his career in 2006, and since then, he’s become known for hits like “Young Love & Saturday Nights,” “Famous Friends,” “I’m Comin’ Over,” “Gettin’ You Home,” “Who I Am With You,” “Raised on Country,” “Losing Sleep,” “Looking for You” and many more. Find his music on iHeartRadio here.
