Assassin Dressed As Construction Worker Shoots Woman In Front Of Her Home

A woman in Markham, Ontario, was shot outside her home in a targeted attack by a suspect disguised as a construction worker. The suspect, wearing a bright safety vest, a yellow construction helmet, and a blue medical mask, approached the woman as she arrived at her gated residence. The suspect parked a dark Audi A4 sedan nearby and engaged the woman in conversation, luring her to the edge of her driveway.

According to York Regional Police, the suspect attempted to shoot the woman as she turned her back to walk away. The gun initially malfunctioned, but the suspect managed to fire two shots, hitting the woman once. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital before being released.

Police have described the suspect as an Asian male with a skinny build and believe the attack was targeted. The incident was captured on the victim's home surveillance system, showing the suspect fleeing the scene in his vehicle after the shooting. Authorities are actively searching for the suspect.

This is not the first time the residence has been involved in a violent incident. In June 2024, a similar attack occurred at the property, leaving a man hospitalized. That case remains unsolved.
