6.6 Magnitude Earthquake Reported

A 6.6-magnitude earthquake was reported along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge on Friday (March 28), according to the United States Geological Survey.
The earthquake was centered at a depth of 6.4 kilometers (about four miles). The USGS said it received zero reports of people having felt the earthquake at the time of publication.
The Mid-Atlantic Ridge earthquake was reported hours after a deadly 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Southeast Asia. More than 144 people were killed and 732 were injured in relation to the earthquake, which was centered in Myanmar (Burma), chairman of the Myanmar State Administration Council Min Aung Hlaign announced on Friday via the Guardian.

A 6.4-magnitude earthquake was reported in Burma minutes later, according to the United States Geological Survey. The USGS said it received 83 reports of people having felt the aftershock at the time of publication.
Several people were reported to have been killed after a mosque partially collapsed in the Myanmar town of Taungoo.
