Why Now Can Be a Taxing Time
April 10, 2025
With the income tax deadline next week, it can be stress time for those who wait till the last minute.
No one likes to pay taxes so sometimes procrastination sets in, and as the deadline gets closer, the worry then sets in.
While the IRS has made it easier to file your income taxes in recent years, it is still a taxing time for many.
Even with it being simpler to do your own taxes, some use apps that help you do it, some choose to hire someone else to do it, to ease the task and ease the worry.
And every year at this time, the debate over taxes and how much is too much is raging.
Without tax revenue, of course, government can’t do anything, from fixing roads to providing public safety to running the military, helping the needy or any of the many other things we want government to do.
But no one wants government to waste money and spending tax money certainly should be done wisely. The problem is that someone’s view of what wise spending is…..is someone else’s view of wasteful spending.
And that’s why talking taxes can spark heated arguments among politicians and on the talk shows. Happy tax time!
