Teen Sentenced for Fake Bomb Threat Against Cruise Ship

19-year-old Joshua Lowe was sentenced to serve 8 months in prison after he made a false bomb threat to a Carnival Cruise ship causing them to check over 1,000 rooms after the ship departed in January, 2024. Lowe, who was living with his girlfriend and her family in Michigan, reported a bomb on the ship because he was upset they left him at home to watch their pets while they sailed to Jamaica, prosecutors said.
