WATCH: Man Accused Of Spray-Painting Cars Sprays Cops As He Tries To Flee

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police arrested a man accused of spray-painting cars near the Las Vegas Strip on Wednesday (April 23). Officers responded to reports of vandalism in the area of Decatur Boulevard and Harmon Avenue. A police helicopter quickly located the suspect, Mitchell Nettles, and guided officers to his location.
When officers arrived, Nettles was walking in the middle of the street, carrying a can of what appeared to be spraypaint. As officers approached Nettles, he sprayed them with the paint and then fled across the street into a parking lot.
Officers continued to chase after him and quickly tackled him to the ground and took him into custody.
According to arrest records, Nettles faces charges including damaging a vehicle, battery on a protected person, making a false statement to an officer, and violating conditions of parole.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department released video footage from the helicopter showing Nettles spraying the police and then getting arrested.
