Let's give this part. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio
three until the four. Do we miss on this one too, Laura?

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Yes, okay over three on the day, is what you're saying.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
They all stink. Okay, I'm joking. They're fine. I just
would have like we've heard my DC song at the
on my hour. But yeah, you get it back Thursday.
You'll get it back Thursday. No, I don't want it.
I don't want to even want it back.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Well, let's coming back there, but I had to play
some for the West Coast for all those waking up
out there.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
So this is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe.

No Jonas Knox. So that's LeVar Anson. I'm Brady Quinn.
Just two pros at a cup. Today, We're coming to
you live from the tyrack dot com studios.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Tyrack dot com will help you get there.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
An unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free road has a
protection and over ten thousand recommended installers tyrac dot com.
The way tire buying should be kind of covered a
bunch of different topics today. Obviously, congrats to Roy McElroy
completing the Grand Slam of golf winning the Masters in
somewhat dramatic fashion.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Of course, you couldn't just do it on eighteen.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
He had to do it again on eighteen after a
playoff four versus Justin Rose, who also played incredibly well
in the final round. Is it felt like other guys
were kind of falling by the wayside? Justin Rose stepped
up and made a huge put on eighteen to make
things interesting. But nonetheless, Roy McRoy now the sixth Grand
Slam champ in golf history, so kudos to him. Now

(02:00):
taking carrying the flag or the torch if you will,
uh from Tiger Woods now? Is that next kind of
all time great and men's golf?

Speaker 2 (02:08):
But is that safe to do to say take the
torch like like Tiger took the torch? Who is it
from Nicol Nicholas, Jack Nicholas, yea, took it from Nicholas maybe,
But is anybody good enough coming off of the career
that Tiger had to compare and say taking the torch

(02:30):
like is he does? Rory Hill? Someone's left.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Some would say, you know, Tiger didn't accumulate as much
as Jack did Nicholas.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
He did it. He came close, but he close good
enough to be in the conversation though, right, Yeah, yeah,
I mean when you're like, what Rory is that guy? Uh?

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yeah, I think when you when you look at for example, uh,
Jean Sarahzen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, are the three others
that it's Jack Nicholas, Tiger Woods, Roy McElroy. Those are
the six who have completed the Grand Slam of Golf.
So I definitely think Roy mcroy's worthy of that. And
again excited for him, excited for golf everything else. I mean,

(03:08):
it's been a big year for him. I mean, obviously
again over the last year of the way things have
worked out, the Live Tour, PGA Tour, but just his
success him finally what after ten years have been a
long way to get this Grand Slam was able to
accomplish it.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Kudos to him.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Talked about the Derek Carr injury, talked about Nika I Amaliava,
and a lot of the news that came over the
weekend as a lot of teams were having spring games.
Tennessee had one without their starting quarterbacks, so that was
kind of interesting. One of the other news tidbits that
came up. And we know the NFL loves tradition. We
know the NFL loves kind of basically taking your calendar

(03:45):
and saying, how can we get you in bed with us? Right,
They've already done it for Thanksgiving forever, the Detroit Lyon
since the nineteen thirties, the Dallas Cowboys since the sixties.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
They've hadded a.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Third game now so you get an entire day of football.
I think most people feel like Thanksgiving, especially if you're
a football fan, is synonymous with football. But now the
NFL is attacking Christmas. What used to be an NBA
holiday has now become an NFL holiday. But there was
a thought that they might tie the Kansasity Chiefs to

(04:17):
Christmas as being a staple there. However, the NFL has
walked that back a bit, saying that they don't want
to get tied to any one team, And to be
honest with you, I understand completely why. You know, as
we look in a vacuum, it looks like the Kansatate
Chiefs gonna be great forever. Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid the
rest of the stars there of course, but if you

(04:37):
think about it fifteen twenty years from now, I don't
know you want to put yourself in that position. Look
at the Detroit Lions, for example, on Thanksgiving, and I
think Lions fans would admit this.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
For years, maybe decades.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
You'd say that was a Lions team that you know,
underperformed on a holiday, and unfortunately, every single person that
was a Lions fan on Thanksgiving had to be reminded
of the Lacus success of the lines. Now that's changed
in recent years, but I think it makes a lot
of sense that the NFL doesn't want to tie themselves
to one team, probably for that reason. And even though
the Chiefs are great now, it doesn't necessarily mean they're

(05:11):
going to be twenty thirty years from now.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
M M. Well, I'll say you're you're right, and and
that that estimation, and you know, when when you you
look at it from the standpoint of of just how
how it all works. What point was I going to make?
I totally lost my place and my point here. But

(05:35):
you know, I just look at what the scenario provides
Q and you know, it's it's interesting to think that
scheduling and teams and you know, where they're going to
be and how they're going to do is hard to
forecast how good a team is going to be and

(05:56):
for how long, maybe outside of a certain few Kansas
City being one of those teams, but being married to it,
I think that that's a hard it's a hard sell.
I think in today's today's consumer driven, you know, type
of approach, I think that's a hard sell. But I

(06:19):
also think that if you look at what the NFL
is doing, I mean, they're showing that they like diversity, right,
look at what they've done with the draft, and you know,
just different things like that, Like they've always moved the
Super Bowl, they got weird about the Pro Bowl, started
moving the Pro Bowl around. So they're always trying to
figure out different ways. I wouldn't be surprised if they

(06:39):
take you know, some of these games on the holidays
and take them overseas. You know, whatever it may be,
but I think it's hard to sell the idea of
this team even though they've had you know, can See
in particular, has had so much success, you're going to
sell that this is going to be the team you're

(06:59):
going to see, like during this holiday season in particular.
I mean, I think that the cautionary tale is you
did that with with Detroit, and you see the Detroit
team almost became like the Washing were they called the
Commanders or the Generals, the ones that played against the
Harlem Globetrotters. It's like you didn't see a very good team,

(07:22):
a good product, and it was always it was the
show was meant for them to lose by the time
you got to the end of the show. So it's
just kind of like for me, I don't think that
you should marry marry a team to a particular date.
I think it should be based upon how good the
teams are that are playing at that time. Nothing better

(07:43):
than having a holiday season where you could be home
with family and friends that you haven't seen for a while,
eat food, you know, pass out, sit on a comfortable
couch or on the floor or whatever it may be.
A recliner seat, and why some good football and that's
you know, the better to match up. I would assume

(08:04):
more interest there it'd be.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
So I think there's a couple of different angles on this,
and the first is what you're speaking to, which to
me more speaks to the networks of.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
The streaming services.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
So I think if you're them, like as great as
it sounds that have the Kansas City Chiefs, there's a
staple every Christmas. Again that looks good now, maybe not
so much depending on how things would change in the future.
And so there's an element of like we're trying to
sell the best game, We're trying to sell the biggest game.
So if you lock yourself into one team, you have

(08:36):
the potential for that not to be the case. I
think that's the biggest thing long term is the NFL
is looking at trying to get to that twenty five
billion dollar mark by twenty twenty seven.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
We just saw the report last week. They went over
twenty three.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Billion last year, so they're not far off. And as
you look forward into the future and you look at
the different ways in which they can try to get
more money out of Netflix or more money out of Amazon.
The deep pocketed streaming services. It would be selling them
whatever that best game is and there being some sort
of flexibility in the scheduling at that point. So that

(09:10):
makes a ton of sense to not lock yourself in
with one team because there's no need to if you
think about it, and that's maybe how it can work.
You can ride this red wave of the Kansas City
Chiefs why you got it as far as the scheduling goes,
and then you can figure.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
It out after the fact.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
But I wouldn't be shocked if there wasn't some element
of flex scheduling in regards to that holiday, even though
it would be tough because I think there's a lot
of people who obviously are planning for the holidays, and
if you set the game, you set that schedule, you'd
be thinking that fans are probably gonna be flying in
for that specific game, or maybe that they're making that
part of their tradition. But that brings me to the

(09:48):
next question is like do you want for that to
be your tradition for your team? Like I'd love to
know from Lions fans or Cowboys fans, do you like
having them play every single Thanksgiving? I'm the summer years,
You're like yeah, that's great, and other years are going no, Like,
I'd rather just watch some other team win or lose
and not have to have my heart ripped out on

(10:09):
Thanksgiving along with having to get into you know whatever
conversation with you know, said uncle that's just going to
talk about all kinds of shenanigans.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
You know. So maybe maybe it's like that for Christmas.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
But Christmas hits a little different than Thanksgiving in the
sense of a lot of the things you're asked to
do that are family obligations, maybe their obligations to your kids,
maybe they're religious, you know, you know, obligations going to
de church or mass, et cetera, whatever you're believing. But
to me, it just hits a little different as a
holiday that I don't know, it almost would feel not

(10:42):
so much like a gift, maybe more like a burden
to have to have that every single year for one team,
Like am I completely off?

Speaker 2 (10:49):
And that's something I feel like. The gift is you
give a day at the opportunity to say, please give
me my space and my time to be able to
watch the game. But I also feel like it could
be a curse because if your team isn't any good
then I would assume that your other would probably use

(11:11):
that against you and say you're just trying to get
out of what your duties are for this time of
the year, because you know, a lot of times you're
asked for help, even though you're not asked for help,
like it comes in the form of like a complaint,
you know, like oh I can't do I wish I
could do this, or I wish I could get this done,
or oh my gosh, this fell down, or oh this

(11:33):
is heavy, or something that may be while you're watching
sports and you have to ask. You have to force yourself. Guys,
if you're listening out there, you have to force yourself
to ask, just so that you can give yourself the
ability to have you know, I guess getting out of trouble,

(11:55):
you know, free pass or whatever you ask like can
I help? Are you okay? And on the meanwhile, on
the inside, you're hopefully giving them what they wanted, which
was you let them know you're there to support them
and that whatever it is that you need to work on,

(12:16):
that you're available to do it. I remember one time
it was a Barbie Doll mansion que like it was
this big ass Barbie doll house and the game was on.
I think it was a it was a bowl game
that was on, and it was heading into Christmas, and

(12:37):
I'm watching the games good gay. I don't even really
recall what who was playing, but I hear oh goshh
and I was like, are you okay? Is everything all right?
So I'm just having the hardest time putting together this
this dollhouse. And I looked at the dollhouse and I'm
not one for domesticated work, like I'll cook and walk

(12:59):
to the like different things, but not crazy domestic. I'm
not handy or anything like that. So I looked at
the dollhouse and I was like, oh, well, let me
see if I can help you, right, And I grab
the directions, que I look at the directions. I start
reading the directions and I'm like, oh, there's no way
I can't do this. So I was like, I gave it.

(13:20):
I was like, it's unfortunate for you and for me
because you need the help and I want to help you,
but looking at these directions, I just ain't gonna be
able to do it. I probably do more damage to
this mansion than I do good to it. So I'm
gonna just go back over here, and I'm gonna stay
out of your way and I'm gonna watch this game

(13:41):
while you try to figure out how to put together
this Barbie Doll mansion. And then the response was, well,
what if I can't get it together? Da da dad,
this D and other. And I said, well, we got
enough guys that play on the team, you know, in
high school or whatever we could call them. They come over,
they can look at the directions and they can build.
She's like, but why can't you do it? I said, well,

(14:02):
I already answer why I can't do it. But if
you were wondering the whole idea of my thought process
behind it, I just wouldn't get a I wouldn't get
a gift that I wasn't able to put together or
wasn't able to deliver in the manner of which I
bought it for the person I was buying it for.
And that was my reasoning. Q. I dropped a microphone,
I sat back down, and I used football as an

(14:24):
excuse to get away from doing it. And I think
it worked. It may have worked, but I'm not sure.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
You know, it's probably used by many many husbands, fathers,
on many Sundays. But what's interesting about the Christmas Day
package is Netflix gets two games. Amazon gets one as well,
and that's part of the Thursday Night Football package. And
so in one way, the NFL typically likes to advertise this,
promote it way ahead of time. So that's one reason

(14:53):
why there wouldn't be, you know, a reason to flex.
But if you go back to this past season, the
Week seventeen games were the ones that aren't Christmas, which
there's any football games at least the regular season games
not on Christmas, there is this flexing that's able to
occur with twenty one days noticed, so that rule has
been tweaked for this upcoming year. It's one of the

(15:13):
reasons why I bring that up because if you're the
NFL and you did have all this promotion, all this
around these these you know, big time games it's Week seventeen,
you sometimes get some teams that have injuries that aren't
really competitive anymore that you thought were gonna be competitive.
You've got some teams that maybe are sitting guys because

(15:34):
they've already locked into something in regards to the playoffs,
or they're not going to play as much that laid
into the regular season. There are some things that could
play out that could take away from the overall experience
on Christmas. Dan And look, maybe they don't care because
it's Christmas. They know people are gonna be home and
people are gonna be watching. But that is the one
reason why I feel like, because you've got this this

(15:56):
caveat or this rule that's built into the Thursday night
football package, why not try to allow it to exist?
You know, maybe you let Netflix have the stable two
games and you allow that to you know, be the
other announcement. But I feel like you could create more
fluidity with this again for attendance. That makes it a
bit more difficult. You only got three weeks to prepare.
But the NFL has figured out ways of doing it

(16:18):
in the past. I feel like they could figure it
a way of doing it this time around two. But again,
just my two cents on it, there's still a lot
of like figuring out. I just I think it's interesting,
like would you want your Christmas to be synonymous with football?
Or it's Christmas big enough where it's kind of like
in and of itself, its own thing, and then football
becomes this nuisance.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
I don't know, isn't there a bowl game on Christmas.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
There are bowl games around that around that time, or.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Like I recall the Alamobile has always been right around Christmas,
like the twenty third or something like that. I don't know,
I don't recall Christmas Day. Like, if you're going to
play on Christmas Day, I think that that's I think
it's a pretty bold move if you ask me, because

(17:11):
you got to compete with Ralphie, and you got to
compete with you know, you know Scrooge and you know
the Grinch and stuff like that. But with that being said,
that is a getaway, that is an escape most likely
for a sports fan to have something of that quality

(17:32):
being on on a holiday like Christmas, I don't think.
I don't think it's a bad play at all. On
the NFL's behalf. Now, whether you go full in and
say this is these are the teams that going on play,
I think that that's a hit or miss, boom or
bust proposition. I would say keep it open for all
the reasons we've just discussed, but having it on Christmas

(17:54):
would be definitely to me a be a dope move.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Maybe it's also a great way if if Santa Claus
wasn't too kind or didn't do a great job with
the gift giving.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Maybe it's a good way too, just to get away
from the family.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Everyone's a little disappointed, and you're just like, yeah, I'm
gonna go to the game.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
I'm gonna go ahead and just avoid this whole situation.
Audio or it's your buddy's team, right, it's your buddy's team,
and you go meet up where they're at to go
watch the game, and that give you a little bit
of a breakaway. You know, there's there's there's levels to it.
There's levels to this. I see you. So here you go.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Coming up next year on Two Pros and a Cup
of Joe's Two Pros.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
And a Cup.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Today, the NBA Playoff is set up. We're gonna talk
about it here on the other side of the break.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
It's Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. He's LeVar Aaronson.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
On.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
Brady Quinn talked about the fact that the NBA playoffs
are set. That's right, They're set to begin tomorrow, as
in Tuesday for the playing Are you are you a
fan of the play in levard? Do you even know
how it's how it works?

Speaker 2 (19:13):
I mean I have an idea of how it works. Obviously,
you take those those last seeds and they get the
opportunity to qualify for the playoffs before the playoffs begin. Like,
I think it's I think it's a pretty cool approach
to is it though, Like like kind of thing.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Just couldn't we have just had the playoffs and not
needed any playing tournament? It feels like, one, it's unriginal
because started doing this once they expanded their pool of teams,
so it's a little und original from that standpoint, and
then ultimately, like does it create that much intrigue?

Speaker 2 (19:49):
Right?

Speaker 1 (19:49):
So, and just for people out there who don't know, right, So,
sixteen teams qualify for the Eastern and Western Conference finals,
the top six seeds in each conference based on the
regular season records, while seven and eight seeds are determined
by the playing tournament, involving teams ranked seventh through ten
based on the regular season. So, just so people understand,

(20:11):
the seventh seeds excuse me. The seventh seed plays the eighth,
the winner securing the seventh spot in the playoffs with
the ninth seed plays the tenth seed, with the loser eliminated,
and then the winner of that plays the loser of
the seven to eight seed. So that's how you get
essentially your your two final seeds in each conference.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
So hopefully that may switch that. I feel like it
should be switched up a little bit like ten should
play seven eight ship play or ten ship play you know, yah, eight,
and then nine should play seven, something to that effect.
Like the fact that you have the two lower two
lower seeded teams playing against one another, that kind of

(20:55):
I don't know. I don't know that that is, you know, correct,
But again, they're playing into and it's it's only what
three games, best out of three or something to that effect, right,
or is a one game? Is it one game? It's
not one game? They got to win more than one, right,
I think it's like two out of three something like that. Anyway,
bottom line is is that like the reason why I'll

(21:18):
say I think the playing is is at least somewhat decent,
unless you're saying that it's it should be around or
added to the round of games. Is you got teams
that are pretty pretty decent teams that could end up
missing you know, the playoffs, like Golden State and and

(21:39):
the Timberwolves, right or not the Timberwolves, but like the Grizzlies,
they have an opportunity to play their way in. Dallas
is a pretty decent team. They have a way to
play their way in and could actually you know, give
teams a problem in the in the true playoffs. So
I just, you know, is it a good thing? I

(22:03):
don't have a problem with it. I really don't. And
then once it gets into looking at the kind of
the bracketing for what's going to take place, I guess
whoever comes out of the play in will either play
the Rockets or OKC.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
On the West, and as we mention so real quick,
the Pacers and Bucks are playing off obviously in the East,
alaun with the Nicks and Pistons, and it's Nuggets, Clippers,
and then the Lakers and Timberwolves. So your eight teams
that are playing in the playing tournament. I would say this,
I actually don't mind the format of how it works
because you're rewarding seventh and eighth seeded teams for a

(22:40):
better regular season. So you're basically saying the winner of
you two should advance and become a part of this
and then look, if you lose, you know, you finished
ahead of the ninth and tenth, so you should still
have the opportunity to potentially beat that team and make
it in. So there is some compelling arguments I think
for the way it's set up and why it's set up.

(23:01):
I just I'm not sure why you can't why do
we have to brand it the plan? Like, why can't
we just say the playoffs start, this is how we're
gonna kind of determine at least that that first round,
if you will, and moving forward. You know, again, the
NBA probably could have put their own spin on it.
I don't know why they felt they needed to that.
They tend to do that for a lot of things,
but in this case, I've I kind of get lost

(23:24):
up into it only because it feels like there's a
lot of blowouts. There's not a lot of parody until
you really get into the second round and further and
then NBA Playoffs.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
I think this year will be pretty competitive. I like
the matchups, I mean, seeing seeing what what Guilder's uh, Alexander,
you know what the what the Rockets are going to
do this this playoffs playoff run. I'm pretty excited to
see that because they've been pretty young. I think SGA

(23:57):
will eventually. I think you'll get the m v P
this this year. If if Jokis doesn't doesn't get it,
h A Jokis, who's the one plays for the Nuggets.
I always make their name up, Kitch right, Yeah, I
think that that that's it's between those two. Obviously they

(24:18):
have what they have going on, so it'll be interesting
to see what Denver does in the playoffs. They've been
playing pretty good, but it'll be interesting to see what
they're able to do. But like the names that just
pop out at you is the Rockets, because they should
be the favorites to come out of out of the West.
I know, okac Is, you know, well, the Rocket, the

(24:39):
OKC Thunder should be excuse me, should be the ones
that are considered to come out with SGA being maybe
the MVP of the league. And then I look at
the Rockets and how talented they are. But these are
both two teams that largely in part are talked about
as being young, teams, and I feel like this is
that season where you got to say, Okay, you got

(24:59):
to get out of the young part of it and
you gotta you gotta now graduate into you're not too
young to be able to win it, like kind of
like what Tatum and Brown did last year with with
the Celtics. So I look at the West as being
really really, really interesting. I mean to see, you know,
Steph Curry and obviously Grenade Grenade Morant going at it

(25:23):
in the play and that's that should be pretty pretty
interesting TV to watch because I think that Golden State
has a chance to go pretty far since adding Jimmy
I got there, you go, adding Butler from from Miami,
I think that that's that's the star power you need
where Jimmy Butler doesn't have to be the enforcer. He

(25:44):
could just really focus in on playing basketball in Golden
State and allowing Draymond to be that that kind of
that Rodman type that he's been through the years, and
I think that allows for Steph Curry to to be
more of what he is as well, which is a
scorer and and at times somewhat of a facilitator. So
I think it's going to be an interesting side on

(26:05):
the west. I mean you look at the east side
of it too, you know, obviously looking at where the
Knicks are, they're pretty good. But can they can they
get over the hump? I know the first thing people
will say is can Cleveland finally clear, you know, clear
where they've been in terms of how well they played
during the regular season but have kind of fizzled out

(26:26):
during the postseason. Are they fools? Gold? Are they real?
You know? Obviously? Can the Celtics do what they need
to do? Giannis has had an MVP calibery season as well.
They just haven't been as good in terms of record
wise as a team. They lost obviously, who's my guy?
Who's my guy? That they they just lost the point

(26:46):
guard or the scoring guard? Why am I blinking on
his name? But he's their superstar as well that that
he's fighting the blood clots. I just don't understand why
I'm blinking on him. But anyways, to that point, I
don't know that the Bucks can make it through the Pacers.
And I really think that once we get to the

(27:07):
final four teams in the NBA playoffs, I think that
it'll be pretty fun. But I think that overall, I
think that this this playoff bracket looks to play out
pretty pretty nicely. If you asked me, yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
Who you were, Yeah, as you're referring to the way,
how about a guy Pat Conton dropping.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Forty three last night? Yeah. Yeah, So it's gonna be
something good basketball man, and it'll be fun. James. Yeah,
you start to see some names kind of pop up
like you might not have known that may put themselves
in the conversations moving forward. I don't know of that.
I feel like it's gonna be kind of shocky.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Have a hard time thinking that Oklahoma City, Cleveland.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
I throw Boston in there too, obviously they've they've been
up there in the East.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
Hard time thinking that the favorites don't make it out
when it's all said and done.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
I know the NBA probably wants some.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
Bigger markets to be a part of the the NBA Finals,
but that's who My money has been on. Oklahoma City, Cleveland, Boston.
Those three have been really the best teams all year consistently.
But you're right, I mean, there's something to the experience
of Steph Curry. I got like Jimmy Butler too, the
ad where you know, you look at Golden state, they're dangerous.
You never count out a team like the Lakers too,

(28:17):
with Lebron and some of the pieces they have.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
Some people would say that they got the Lakers going,
going in and making it. Yeah, just because of the
way Luca has been playing and and the way you know,
you get a healthy Brownie James out there and doing
what he needs to do. Oh wow, and being a
dominant player for them and establishing himself as that that
next franchise guy. I think that thing should go, you know,

(28:43):
pretty smoothly for the Lakers.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
He just had had to bring it up, had to
throw it in there, didn't you.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
Oh boy, well every fund.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
Nonetheless, we'll have some previous of that tomorrow and Two
Pros and a Cup of Joe. But coming up next here,

Speaker 3 (29:41):
These might smell a little funk.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
Ca what is that?

Speaker 3 (29:43):
That sounds incredible? But they're still good. Time to find
out what's left? It's Lee's lap, Joevers.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
You know, it's funny.

Speaker 4 (29:53):
Last week we were talking about Japanese beer, so I
kind of went on a Japanese beer run this week
weekend with some dry I think it's called a he.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
So, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (30:02):
You guys kind of got that in my head. So
I got that out of the way. No beatboxes this weekend.
I hope you're happy for that.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
Oh really, yeah, no beat boxes.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
I feel bad for Beatboxing man supporting the brand as
much as you show.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
It made a lot of run on this show though. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (30:17):
I made some mango margarita. Who made mango Margarita's.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
Okay, sounds not bad at all.

Speaker 5 (30:23):
I kind of got over the azalea drinks you.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Said, sugar or what were you sharing it? Yeah? Yeah,
we were.

Speaker 5 (30:30):
We were doing some bladighbeah.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
Oh that wasn't what I was expecting the air, But okay,
you and your neighbor were blending. Who do you think
it was? Bar? You know?

Speaker 6 (30:41):
Maybe you I do like mango Margarita's.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
I mean there you go. I mean thank you.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
Well you were working as you were working the Renaissance
Fair this weekend, and my lady friend was at the
rent Fair this weekend.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
I did not tell her that you they were both there.
Oh yeah, I.

Speaker 5 (30:58):
Didn't tell her. I didn't tell either of them that they.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Well why did you not tell either of them? That?
Is this? Like? I mean tell me that things are
things eating up? No, No, everything's fine.

Speaker 4 (31:07):
I just uh you know, I know, uh Lorena, she's
gonna be busy working the booth.

Speaker 6 (31:14):
Could you imagine know that she walked in and I had.

Speaker 1 (31:17):
Somebody explained to me what you're doing there. So it's
a Renaissance fair. This is like medieval times.

Speaker 6 (31:23):
Yeah kind of. It's a huge festival. So yeah, I'm
there opening until clothes and I put people in amazing
garb all day. Put a bunch of corsets, suck them up.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
So this is like you go back in the time.
I gets, you know, the Renaissance or something medieval.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
So I don't understand why league wouldn't let them know
that you know they're there. That's what makes the leftover
so spicy. If you asked me, like when you wanted
to know she was there, Lorena.

Speaker 6 (31:53):
Yes, I would have loved a warning shot to be Yeah,
so there you go.

Speaker 5 (31:57):
You know, I didn't want I knew you were gonna
be busy. I didn't want you distract you at work.

Speaker 6 (32:01):
Imagine she popped up behind me, then I.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
Haven't Why would you have to be scared of your life?
Would be a good time, although there are a lot
of weapons at the UH at the Old Redfair together.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
Yeah, okay, so you were drinking mango margaritas while she
was out stalking Lorena.

Speaker 5 (32:22):
Yeah, well I would have gladly joined, but not during masters.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
We can know you don't find that interesting that they
were at the same place at the same time. Not
really all. If you have to make a choice today, Lee,
who are you choosing? Like, you gotta make a choice,
hands down, you got to leave one alone. Who are
you choosing?

Speaker 4 (32:39):
Well, I've already, you know, made that choice. Of course,
I got my milady, as I would call her in
a red and fair voice, Lorena.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
Does his choice change if your choice is him?

Speaker 5 (32:52):
No, I don't think it does.

Speaker 6 (32:54):
Bar He is stuck like.

Speaker 2 (32:59):
So it's not a choice. No, it's a choice.

Speaker 5 (33:01):
But I'm very happy. I'm a very happy person.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
You bat loa.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
I'm trying to stay out of all this. You staying
out of I'm just I'm staying out of this because
I love that.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
This is a leftovers I mean, this is like what
makes the leftovers.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
I'm more I'm more fascinated by the entire Renaissance festival
situations revisits there, Like there are a lot of people
around your age, like dressing up and stuff and playing
with like wooden swords, like what goes on there?

Speaker 2 (33:33):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 6 (33:34):
Yeah, And there's rats running around, like full sized human
rats and rat costumes that spread the flag.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
They have different Okay, I was gonna say, as it should,
like there's a bunch of rats today.

Speaker 6 (33:44):
There was even a rat catcher, like they had little
fake rats in a bag and and like a big
block of cheese on a string and he threw it
into the shop. He's like, here, rats, come to me.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
Rats.

Speaker 5 (33:53):
It was so sounds.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
Like how did you so?

Speaker 6 (33:59):
The owner of the booth that I work at, Alter Egos,
I used to work for her costume shop in Oregon,
like over ten years ago. And then I went to
the ren Fair three years ago and I happened to
run into her and I was like Susan and she.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
Said love writ.

Speaker 6 (34:13):
She's like, you have to work for me, And now
I've been there every year since.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Would you want to live in the Renaissance days? Would
you want to live in medieval times? More so? Like
is that something you would like? You would enjoy that time?

Speaker 6 (34:29):
No, I need running water and toilet trees and things,
and they just didn't have that back then.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
Yeah, okay, but.

Speaker 6 (34:38):
The outfits are super cute.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
If I could still wear those every day?

Speaker 5 (34:41):
Yeah, every down.

Speaker 4 (34:42):
The beer maidens have a little waterfall of mead. Yeah,
it's good, good times.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
What you would want is beer maidens.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
Oh yeah, they're running around, they'll serve you beer and
they're very uh, they're very friendly.

Speaker 6 (34:55):
They will wet your whistle, let's put it that way.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
You know, so you didn't make your way too Renaissance fair.

Speaker 4 (35:01):
No, because it was Master's weekend. Otherwise I would definitely go.
I plan on it visiting Lorena at least once while
this season without his lady, well, she's obviously welcome as well.
Now Todd's a bit Todd's a big fan. He likes
to play his flute and just run around with his flute.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
So he just walks around with his flute and plays
his flute in the Renaissance play. Yeah, okay, yep, being
a Renaissance.

Speaker 5 (35:22):
Man, Eat, drink and be merry. That's right.

Speaker 4 (35:24):
Another big festival this weekend was Coachella. I don't know
if you saw any of the big headlines coming out
of there. A nightmare apparently for some, some saying it's
the worst edition of Coachella in terms of planning. They
changed out all the security, so people who had lined
up for twelve hours twelve to thirteen hours just to
get in and security wasn't quite letting them in, so

(35:45):
the car the car camping area was overran. Everyone lost
their camping spots. Lines for showers were between one and
three hours. Green Day had, of course a big show
and their fireworks exploded. One of their fireworks went off
and lit a big palm tree on fire.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
So yeah, a.

Speaker 5 (36:05):
Little chaos there at Coachella first weekend?

Speaker 2 (36:07):
Was this the Madonna drake Coachella? Or is that old?
That's old? That's old? Okay, Yeah, I think this one this.
I saw a post on that like did he gag
or did he not gag? I don't know, but yeah,
it was it was.

Speaker 4 (36:20):
It wasn't a great look. Yeah, Madonna kind of stuck
her tongue down his throat and he gagged. All right,
this one I thought lady Lady Gaga dressed up as
I don't know. Some some call it a satanic show.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (36:35):
She performed her Judas song and she's had that song
for what seven years now, five years?

Speaker 5 (36:41):
I don't know why anyone was shocked by that performance.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
Hm hmm, Okay. Interesting. Coachella is interesting. That's a you know,
it's an interesting bit going there. Yeah, a lot of
a lot of stuff going on.

Speaker 4 (36:56):
Yeah, from Dirty Nerds and dirty there you go for
your festivals this weekend, guys. The story I had last
week that we didn't quite get to. I don't know
if you saw this out of New Mexico, A JB
baseball player high school JV baseball player arrested for relieving
himself into the water cooler of his opponents.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
Oh wow, yeah, wow.

Speaker 4 (37:18):
Sixteen year old kid arrested in New Mexico. You have
you know, sixteen year olds are dumb. But uh, anything
happened like that in your high school days?

Speaker 2 (37:29):
Not that, I hope not. I mean, I hope no
one pete or water cooler. How would I know?

Speaker 1 (37:34):
I mean, we've got gatorade in there, so I guess
if there's water, you'd know, But if it's gatorade, probably wouldn't.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
Did they call it bug juice in Ohio? Did I
call it that? I ain't call it bud bug juice? Yeah,
well we're probably tougher than Ohioans, though we called it.
We called gatorade bug juice, like get the bugs come
around your drink in my mind, in my mind, I
don't even know where it came from.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
Honestly, like I'm just talking ass. I don't think it
makes you tougher, but it was interesting. You get the
bug juice, get the bug juice, and it was like
a variation of gatorade. It didn't taste like gatorade, but
it's variation, so it makes me stop and wonder, like
what we have even known? If somebody trained us like that,
you know what I mean? Like, yeah, that's crazy.

Speaker 4 (38:17):
Apparently charged with sixteen accounts of assault here because sixteen players,
of course drank from the water. They were all set
to the crazy to the hospital. Even though you should
be fine. It's sterile, but yeah, is it sterile?

Speaker 5 (38:33):
It's yeah, it's.

Speaker 4 (38:34):
Supposed to be unless you're kind of tainted for something
with something. But yeah, that is so you should be fine.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
Yeah, what uh? Was it? Miguel Coto? Was that the boxers?
It wasn't good. I don't know. That was Kodo? It
was another one, the one that got the one that
knocked out Manny Pakiao and it looked like he killed him.
Who was the one that knocked him out?

Speaker 3 (38:55):
Was it?

Speaker 2 (38:57):
Who was that? Oh? It's one.

Speaker 1 (38:59):
It's one man ye Mark has there? You go, Marqus,
that's it, he's the one.

Speaker 2 (39:03):
Yeah, that's it. That's a good one. Yeah, you like
sit in the chambers and come out and you wake
up and you drink his yead. I don't know. That's
a different approach than I would take. And you got
anything else?

Speaker 4 (39:20):
Well, master procrastination. I'm going to do my taxes today.
Now one more day.

Speaker 2 (39:25):
They do tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (39:26):
Yeah, well here in California, Uh, you can't push it
till October, but I'm gonna knock it out today.

Speaker 1 (39:32):
Guys, they fall extension, but yeah, good luck with that.
