Speaker 1 (01:06):
Of course.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
We got to talk about Tua in the game last night.
Props to the Bills though they played big. But the
sad story is, Tua, what would you do better? Yet,
if you were his bro, what would you tell them?

Speaker 1 (01:17):
We'll get to that.

Speaker 2 (01:18):

the week. Okay, so we're gonna get you ready for

Speaker 3 (01:31):
But is it interesting? Is there such thing as a
lock in five? I mean we thought so.

and we're doing a special podcast tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Rich.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
So yeah, lots going on, man, but happy to be here.
And you know what, let me just say this, I.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Barely made it. Barely made it. I ended up in
the er last night because of the accident.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
I got in this week and I'll say, I'm okay,
but they found something they were concerned with.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Ended up at the er.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I don't want to harp on that right now because
I'm good and I'm here, and he told me go
and have a good time.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Did you see George Clooney? No, I did it.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
I was looking for him though, And I'll tell you this,
you know, here's a tease. I'll talk about it more
in depth on our podcast tomorrow Live from Vegas. But
my point is I so badly wanted to come. I'm like,
all right, that's great, duc Can I go to the fight?
And I was up all night, anxiety was kicking in,
but made it here. It's a quick half hour flight,

(02:48):
literally thirty five minutes from Los Angeles. Got here this
morning and super pumped, and you know what, things could
be worse. So when I crashed my car, I'm a
little banged up. What happened tool last night?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Oh? Oh? His hands seized up? What's the phrase for
that again?

Speaker 2 (03:04):
I heard a guy reference it as something about like
sword fighting, fencing, Yeah, fencing pose or something like that,
and it happened with him. People react differently, but it
happened with him before. Of course he had a concussion.
It's when your hand goes straight out like that. You start, yeah,
and you you're in that pose a little bit. It
completely happened. We all saw it, so there's no denying it.

(03:26):
And yeah, he got his I thought it was his
fourth concussion. They're saying his third concussion. I thought it was,
you know what, three too many regards.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Well, listen, we're gonna go over all the picts for
this week, but two is the big story. Yeah, and
everyone's been examining every angle of this. And I said
to Danny on the walk over here after him and
Spot had there.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
By the way, it was quite the hike because we
are staying at the New York New York Hotel and Casino.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Thank you for hosting us for this week.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
And if you happen to see us, drinks on you
because we're here to party. I'm excited for the fight
this weekend. Just excited to be here. But yeah, we
made our walk over there, turned out got it.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
But yeah, to a last night, I mean we said
yesterday it was gonna be a great matchup. Oh yeah,
and it felt like that until Tua went down, and
the fact that Skyler Thompson seems to be that the
answer for now does not seem like a good answer
for Dolphins fans, the organization or anything, because when you
saw him in there, there was like fourth and one

(04:24):
at one point, I'm like, they're not even going to
convert this. You got the feeling that they can't operate
that offense with Skyler Thompson.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
So a lot invested, clearly, I mean financially everything invested
into a and Rich you and I.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
You said there's no such thing as the lock.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
We were pretty confident both you and I had the
Dolphins for yesterday.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
You didn't write I had the Bills.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Yeah, Rich and I agreed at the end.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Of the shows, Oh I had the Dolphins. You did
get to get your head checking. Yeah, you know what,
I got an accident guy.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Guys, No, but uh, we were saying the bills. I
said division matchup. I took the Bills with a lot
of points and a teaser. But back to Tua, if
you're his bro, this is what Dannie and I were saying.
That funny because everyone's talking about what you did do
and they're asking Mike McDaniel, I don't know if you
were his friend, like someone in his circle, someone that
he trusted, what would you tell him to do when

(05:14):
you saw the second time Listen, multiple concussions, but that's
the second time we've had that scary scene of his hands, like, well,
here's crushing up.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Like people always want to bring the money and the
guaranteed money into it, But if you really love the guy,
is that even an issue? Is that even a factor?

Speaker 1 (05:30):
You know?

Speaker 2 (05:31):
It is kind of Here's why, because he wants to
be out there, it's his legacy, it's his career.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
He wants to do it for himself, for his teammates,
for his love of football.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
But if you see everybody who cares about him in
the NFL, they're like, dude, it's not worth it. And
it's usually from players that have already retired that are
saying he's got to start maybe facing the facts here
and maybe think about retirement.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Well, dude, when you talk about retired athletes, let me
give you the analogy. When you see it sounds ridiculous,
But when you see on Instagram or something that they
interview like ninety one hundred year old people, what would
you tell your younger self.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
They have perspective.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
So when retired athletes are saying, yo, dude, I know
from a guy that's been out of the game.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Yeah, but that's my point. It's easy, easy year for
them to say. But they lived their career out, they've
played their career and yeah, from their perspective, they're like,
it's not worth it.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
But you can't tell this.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Kid, who's you know, pumped to play it only been
in the league for four years.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
Right.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
On one hand, people are saying it's not time to
talk about the money. No, it's what it is because
the money's too big part of it. The money is
too big to ignore. And if you look at his
contract and Dan Bayer back in the studio, I'm sure
Dan's been talking about this all day with Doug and
every other show. If I'm wrong at any point, let
me know, because as far as I see, there's one
sixty seven, one hundred and sixty seven million dollars in

(06:55):
injury guarantees. Now, there's no verbiage in his contract, no
cut out or no loop where it says anything about concussions.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
So if Tua retires but is clear to play, right,
if he's cleared by doctors, cleared by the NFL.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Then then it's not a career ending injury because by
his own choice.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
Yeah, it's his own decision. Is that sort of right?
Am I feeling that? Am I interpreting that correctly?

Speaker 4 (07:19):
Yes? That is correct?

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Okay, And he got a big signing bonus.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
So we're talking about a guy that by the end
of I wrote this down exactly by those.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
End twelve two hundred and twelve million for four years,
but twenty eight twenty.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
Eight ninety three million dollars of that is guaranteed by
the end of next year.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Okay. So if he somehow found his way back on.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
The field, or was in and out of concussion protocol,
or somehow finds his way into the next season, we're
talking about almost one hundred million dollars at some point.
Does this guy keep playing for years and years? Is
that just unwise if this guy wants to live a healthy.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Long life.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
And here's the real answer, The real answer is he
probably doesn't have to make that decision right away, meaning
he needs time to heal. It is an injury, and
with concussions, they compact like they add on to the
next one, next one, next, one, if you don't let
it heal properly. So I think if he just sits
out a few years, a year or two year and
a half or something like that, then you can make

(08:13):
a better decision to see how far he's coming.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
A year or two, that's just that that you're throwing
the organization. Then for a you're putting him in a
bad spot.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
But I'm saying as far as full on retirement never
playing again. But he does put his team in a
really bad situation there. But again, you want to take
the money out of it. But it's too much money
to ignore. So if you were just his friend and
you're concerned for his life, family member, even better, what
would you tell him? What is the advice you'd give

(08:42):
him if it was your brother eight seven seven ninety
nine on Fox at Covino and Rich. You have to
take the money out of it, like, dude, you got
nothing else to prove. Man, You've you've made it to
the NFL, You made all this money. You know, now
you got to worry about the rest of your life.
You're you're a young man in life.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
How old is to twenty? What twenty? I mean he's
twenty six.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
This guy's got god willing fifty plus years of life left.
So you got a hell of a lot more of
life to live than football now. So Kivin, you've got
to prioritize the life before, you know further injuring yourself
in this game.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
That I know that you love.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
But you're only four years into this and you got
three four serious concussions already. Man, you've seen the long
term day. Look, we're here for a boxing event. You've
seen what happens to some of these dudes. You get punchy, Yeah,
you get You're not the same. You're never the same.
Let me just throw this out there.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
If on your way home tomorrow, or on your way
home from work this week, Dan need git you stopped
at the Shell gas station, the seventy six, the Sinclair,
shout out to I've seen one of those, the Dinosaur,
And you picked up a Powerball or Mega Million's ticket
and you want one hundred million dollars, you'd be generationally

(10:01):
set for generations.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
He's made that money thus far.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
If he plays another year or sort of sees this
year through, why push it beyond that? Like we're making
it seem like he's walking away with this and he's
got nothing.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
He's got more than all of us will ever say.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Well, it's because he's a competitor and he wants to
win a Super Bowl. Right, he hasn't exactly won anything
yet with the Dolphins, so that's gonna drive any athlete
worth their salt.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
And not only does he believe in himself, they believe
in him.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
And if they didn't, they wouldn't have given him that
fat contract through twenty twenty eight. And look, man, he
played seventeen games last year, only two games in this
year already out. What would you tell him? He's battled
back from injury before, but these are serious injuries. And
it's kind of ironic that it was Tamar Hamlin that
got the hit on him that put all players right,

(10:52):
of all players, even though it was more him with
his head down and Damar Hamlin just sort of receiving
a kid. It was a little mixture of him with
his head down, but also how he hit the ground.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
I mean, that impact is just too strong.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
Remember in Hard Knocks where the Chicago coaches brought out
the slipping slide yea for Caleb Williams and the backup
quarterbacks to practice their sliding they need that for Toua.
He just needs to slide. And I know it's hard
because he's trying to get those extra yards for the
team and win.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
So right, I mean, that's what I get scared about
when it comes to Josh Allen too. He's always sacrificing
himself for the team and it gets a little sloppy
and a little dangerous. Why in the world isn't this guy,
of all people to be sliding. It should be him,
you know, that should have been the first thing he
did immediately for the sake of his own health and
for the team moving forward. So what would you tell him? Unfortunately, Rich,

(11:50):
I would have to tell him if he was my brother.
That's really where we have to come from. Retire players. Yes,
easy for them to say they're retired. They lived their career.
They're just like, man, this is tough, as Josh Allen said, colleagues,
hardest part of the game. Let's say it's your family.
You're there, you're a tago Y Lowe, you're his bro,

(12:11):
best friend. You'd have to tell him the dude, chill out,
because you love that guy and you know he'll never
be the same. If God forbid this continues to happen
one more time, two more times. You don't know the
the potential impact they may have if it happens again.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
These things don't get better with time.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
Yeah, it's it's a terrible, terrible situation for him personally.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Would you tell him ago, is there anyone the doll
for it? Or is that just a PC?

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Do you think it's just a PC thing that people
want to say there's someone out there, like, dude, you
get a once in a lifetime chance to play in
the NFL.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Heal up and go out dan ghetto. I'll be honest.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
In my twenties I was not reckless, but I was.
But it was also very like I'm gonna do whatever
I want to do for work or this or that.
You know, you get older, Yeah, you have a family.
You start thinking differently. You think about mortality, you think
about life, and you start prioritizing.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
This guy hasn't even lived. Yeah, but I'll say you start.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Prioritizing like family, friends versus work.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
And I don't know, Man, does this guy want to
be I hate to say it.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
Does he want to be like punching like a vegetable
when he's like a middle aged guy that's a terrible thought.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Like you don't want anything to happen to this guy
next one?

Speaker 2 (13:21):
Why is he so susceptible to these concuss That's another thing.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
And it's not that he's that little.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
He appears little. Is he six ' one two twenty five?
Something about the way he plays the game, he runs low?

Speaker 1 (13:35):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
He's always putting his head there, he's getting hit hard?
Is he plays a dangerous game for his size at quarterback?
Danny G's right, he should be sliding. And I don't
want to point the blame at him after what happened
is sad. But what would you tell him moving forward?
I would say, you're a young man in life, and
your life's more important than the game of football.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
You got what ten more.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Years of football if you're lucky with other injuries, he's
already played four let's say ten, ten twelve years of
football left? Right, But here's who got the rest of
your life? You gotta live healthy, buddy.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Here's the thing.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
If he gives it one more shot, then what then
he's putting his health at risk. It's an interesting sentiment like, well,
I'm sorry, not his health once more, his brain it's
his health but not his physical health is like his
mental health.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Everything.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Take a time out from two to for a second
and let's go to our buddy, Dan Bayer. He's got
some breaking news on Christian McCaffrey.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
What's up, dB, Yeah, Hey, guys.

Speaker 5 (14:30):
The news on McCaffrey we had at the top of
the hour was that he's not going to play against
the Minnesota Vikings. What we've come to find out, it's
over the last fifteen minutes or so, as Kyle Shanahan
spoke to the media, is that McCaffrey could actually be
out longer and the team is considering placing McCaffrey on
injured reserve, which would have him miss the next four
games that would include this Sunday's game against Minnesota. But

(14:52):
Kyle Shanahan, the Niners head coach, did say that yesterday
was actually McCaffrey's worst day with his Cafe in Achilles injury.
So the forty nine ers trying to be cautious with McCaffrey.
He's not going to play against the Vikings and again
could be a candidate for injured reserve short term IR,
but then that would mean he would miss the next
four games.

Speaker 4 (15:13):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
As a Niners fan, I'm as a n Iers fan.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
My immediate thought is get this guy healthy now. Yeah,
now that might want to get him healthy, now, let
him rest up. My thoughts it's not as bad as
it sounds. My thought is that if this is a
month the forty nine Ers knock on wood. As a
forty nine Ers fan, they're a playoff team. I think
for you, I think, yeah, I say I have it
right here.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
Yeah, I'm pretty sure people would say unless something went
oddly weird, the Niners are a postseason team. So fiddling
around with the health of your star running back that
is an MVP can't today that.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
You're seeing who else could step up, and you know
in his place, you're giving them a shot, and you're
letting him rest and heal up because he will be.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Ready for the postseason.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
You got the Vikings the playoffs, which have always been
tough for the Niners, but they're favored by four and a. Yeah,
so they got Vikings Rams who are banged up. They
got the Patriots, which I mean, you thought would be
a layup, but I think it will still be right.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
We thought.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
You got the Cardinals, who appear better than we thought,
but those are not.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
I don't think any of those teams.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
I would I think the Niners could survive without McCaffrey
for the stretch of Vikings, Rams, Patriots, Cardinals.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
What don't you imagine? Yeah, that's that's a yo.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
Christian get better because later in the year the forty
nine Ers go through a stretch where they play the Lions,
the Bears, the Packers, the Bills like a bunch of
good teams sort of towards the end of the season.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Okay, thank you, Dan Byer appreciated it. Again.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
We're Cavino and Rich live from Vegas, MGM Radio Row,
Las Vegas, Canelo Berlanga and.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Of course this weekend, you know big UFC three zero six.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
Year so Vegas.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Maybe fight talk out here in Vegas and unfortunately a
lot of health talk about Tua to start show, and
we're seeing again a lot of retiring athletes, a lot
of his colleagues, a lot of people saying it's scary,
I'd retire. He's got to take it serious. He seriously
has to think about moving on. You know, if you're
his family member, what would you tell him? That's what

(17:13):
we're saying right now. If you're his best butt if
you're just hanging over drinks, like, dude, for real, if
you played high school in college football with him and
you know him on that level, like, hey man, for real, dude,
you know you did everything. You have nothing to prove.
Now you got to focus on yourself and relax a
little bit. What would you tell him if you knew
him on that level? And you got to keep in

(17:33):
mind it's a once in a lifetime dream job.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
He wants to win. Like the n EG said, I
was looking.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
At our feedback over Buddy Rashaan hit us up and
he played some D one football he did, I know,
And he said that there's a hell of a lot
of guys, Yeah, that put their health and life on
the line for way less than forty something million dollars
a year.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
You know, people are reckless in a lot of careers.
There's dangerous jobs out there. And ask Mike grow Oh no,
he does the dirt, he does dirty jumps.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
But crab guys, Yeah, there's guys that are on crab
you know Alaskan fishing trips that some of them don't
come home alive. You think they're making forty fifty million
dollars a year. So you could say, here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (18:18):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
You could say.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
He's he's playing a game, but he's taking a major risk.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
You know what.

Speaker 3 (18:23):
It's like, I was gonna make a dumb analogy, but
I have well, I want to be sensitive to the
idea that it's to and his brain and his health.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
But how many times has a guy.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
Been up to Shenanigan's and he gets away with it
and he gets a little too cocky, like, yeah, I'm
pretty slick, or remember the game show Pressure Luck, No
Emmy's no Emmy's no Emmy, stopedmy. You play long enough
and you keep taking chances. I don't think you could
forever escape if you cheated on your wife. I know

(18:56):
it's a terrible analogy, but if you did, if you
cheat on your wife a hundred times, eventually get caught.
If you played Pressure Luck for hours, eventually wammy and
eventually if two gets back in the game, it could
be a year, it could be two seasons.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Yeah, he was able to get up on his own
feet and walk out. You know, there might be a
time where he's not able to do that.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
That's my point is that it's not a matter of
could he finish this season.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
He could be good.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
He could be good in four weeks and be back,
you know, like in a month like McCaffrey and it's like, wow,
a month, four weeks, that was scary. He can make
it the rest of the year. The Dolphins could win
a wildcard game. It could be as well two years
from now. He could get hit and not get up.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
And now we can't ignore the money because it's such
a big part of it, right, all this money that
he's guaranteed. But you said that if the NFL clears him,
then they don't owe him as much. But if he
calls it on his own, then yeah, right, it's hard
to explain.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Actually, if it's an injury.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
Yeah, that he is deemed unable to play football. Okay,
he is guaranteed the money because they an injury. That's
the there's an injury my guarantation here.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
But if you were the NFL, cushions are Goodell, if
you were whoever was making.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
These decisions where you're going to go, would you really
want to clear him?

Speaker 2 (20:13):
Clear him knowing the back last year, organization is going
to get for It's not you, it's a third party
doctor because.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
If this happens, If this happens on the field again, Yeah,
and we see his fingers twisted up like that again,
people are going to be outraged out of their minds.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
The NFL has done everything possible to sort of prevent
these things moving forward. You know, they've done so much,
and they've dealt with so much with concussions and CTE
in the aftermath of their players. If he's not if
they're not protecting him, they're not willing to throw in
the towel for this guy who's a superstar and we're
all watching this happen. What is the public's opinion on
how the NFL handles a third party or not? You know,

(20:50):
for the NFL to allow him to move forward is
also something in question, And it's going to be a
bad look if they let him and it happens again.
Are they going to want to take that public backlash
and that risk?

Speaker 3 (21:01):
But I'm not trying to sound insensitive. Yeah, but what
would it take a third.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
Time of him twitching on the ground like.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
That's what I'm saying. Are they gonna are they gonna
want to take it? Do we need do we need
to tape it a third time?

Speaker 3 (21:15):
So Hey, your thoughts at coviing on Rich, Well, we'll
take your feedback next about Tua Thursday Night Football. You know,
besides the terrible injury and the concussion for Tua, Buffalo
showed up. I know Miami was really at a disadvantage
once two is out of there. I'm surprised they're not
calling their ex girlfriend. I've heard rumors about Ryan Tannehill
possibly being in the mix, but they're going forward with
Skylar Thompson, which I think is an awful idea.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
You're not gonna You're not gonna win Hills. I looked
at it. He's thirty six years You have a Tannehill's
a veteran that you know played on that team.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
Yeah, Rich, get the Cowboys on the phone and get
Trey Lance on the field. Bro.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
That is not absurdly, you know, like that's this a
little bit. It's not a terrible idea.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
The question we're breaking it down, we're talking about here
line from Vegas Guys, we go to you next eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox at Covino en Rich, what
would you tell to a man to man face to face.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
If you were there in his inner circle? What would
you tell him. Plus we'll do the Solar Power Parlor
a parlay.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
Get you ready for NFL football this Sunday, More next
coming on Rich Live from Vegas MGM.

Speaker 6 (22:21):

Spade, got Fiemmi, and also those.

Speaker 7 (22:49):
Who can help us in between the ears, anyone from
a therapist to someone.

Speaker 1 (22:53):
Like Ed Milett for John Gordon.

Speaker 7 (22:54):
We've all been through some sort of adversity to get
to the top. We've all used different tools too. Unbreakable
with Jay Glazer and Mental Wealth podcast on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts or wherever you get podcasts.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Oh yeah, it's always good to be back and all
the familiar boxing faces. I had to tell you to be
part of the boxing scene, to be welcome into the
boxing scene is an honor in itself. Rich and I
have been doing this long enough where you know, Hey,
there's Bernardo Asuna is.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
The classy James Lennon Junior, Oh Jim, Yeah, you know what.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
They might be stopping by if not today, we have
an extra podcast, an extra show we're doing tomorrow, bonus
show live from Vegas and the tiraq dot com studio.
Remember Rapid Radios for instant push cha talk walkie talkies
radio offering national LTE coverage, no subscription or monthly fee ever,
perfect for instant contact with an aging parent.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
We use them on the show.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
Go to rapid Radios dot com now for up to
sixty percent off and free. So stick around because we're
gonna do Rich's Solar Power parlay. We have lots of
football to talk about. We have guests stopping by again.
We're here for the big fight Canelo Berlanga. Yeah, put
some action on that.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
It's NFL time. There's always time for a good fight night.
Oh yeah, I mean you got football on Sunday. You
had football last night. We're talking about TUA. But hey,
Saturday night, you know you're gonna be switching back and
forth between the Canalo fight and UFC three L six,
So always time for a good fight and we're gonna
do that solar power parlay in just a second. But
any final thoughts on tour, we were talking about it

(24:32):
off the air and how like what are you waiting
for the one time too many? Like I know it's
a silly analogy, but the game show pressure, luck or
cheating on a significant other.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
Like, eventually something will go wrong and.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
Eventually somebody needs to step in, and I think it
has to be the NFL. I don't care if doctors
clear him to play. I don't care if he wants
to play. The NFL has to step in because they're
gonna ones. That's gonna look bad, I think when all
said and done, Like, think of again, we're at a
boxing event. Don't you think Muhammad Ali stepped in the
ring one too many times? Yeah, and it shows these

(25:05):
things happen. I know it's fiction, and I say that respectfully.
I'm wearing a Muhammad Ali T shirt.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
ASKI you know, I know it's fictional, but yeah, you
remember when Rocky Bo wanted to get back in the
ring and the board wouldn't clear.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Him exactly, So even if a doctor says yeah, you're
good to go, and even if TUA says yo. I
want to win, and I got money on the line here.
I don't want let my teammates down. I'm a young man.
I want to play football. So, like you said, Rich,
when you're in your twenties, man, you're not thinking straight.
You're just thinking I could do anything, even.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
Something is ridiculous. When you're in your twenties, I'd go anywhere,
do anything. Now.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
My point is now you're older, you have kids in
a family. I get on a plane, I'm like, please
land safely for someone. Someone's gotta someone's not going all.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
I think.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
The NFL because it looks bad, you know, you give
them one more chance. I think you gotta like let
them not play for a few years. And that may
hurt the teams. But that's the only way he gets
back out.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
I could do that as a quarterback, dude, Look what
happens when QB's lose there with him just being out
part of one season.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Shaan Watson is a great example. He's thinking, like Abe
Lincoln Kaepernick. There's no way people will bring him up
all the time, no way he can get out there
and play.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
I get that, but this is a rare circumstance.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
He's twenty seven, twenty six. He's twenty six years old,
twenty six in March. You know, God, I don't think
his life is far from over. His career doesn't have
to be over. But he also doesn't have to rush
it back like that.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
He can't.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
Maybe he can't rush it back for the Dolphins, but
if he really wants to play, I don't know. So Again,
the question was the question was Fox Sports Radio Nation.
If you were in his inner circle, his buddy, his bff,
his bestie, his beefy, his big his right his brother,

(26:53):
what would you seriously tell him? Forget about colleagues and
teammates and you know, man, that's the worst part of
the NFL. Man, it's just tough stuff. No, if you
love this guy, what would you tell him? And what
did our Twitter say about Damar Hamlin?

Speaker 4 (27:07):
It was actually your boy, Arnie Fsr's Arnie Spaniard. He
has a Covino and Rich poster in his cabin there, Barney,
he says. Hamlin came back and no one said he
shouldn't play, and he almost died. Also, no one said
Alex Smith shouldn't play with that lego. Dude.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
I think is different than you. I know, but that's
the only difference for me. Brain injury, you know what
I mean. Like Alex Smith is walking around. I mean, look,
almost lost that leg and it looks gruesome till this day.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
But he's still walking around. He's got all his marvel. Actually,
but it's true.

Speaker 4 (27:42):
Hamelin almost died.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
Hamlin almost died.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
I get it, But that was like, I think it's
different when you see the effects of concussions. I mean,
you think Antonio Brown is the same guy.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
He's not.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
We've seen it over and over again. Those are just
small examples. We've seen people take their lives because of
this stuff.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
Dude.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
I think I'm doing a show with a mild concussion
as we speak, because I got in a car accident.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
You know what they told me at the hospital.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
They told me, you don't have to hit your head
to suffer from a concussion, Just that herky jerky whiplash
of your body getting rocked like that could cause him
whip because your.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
Brain rattles around. Dide. I've been in a Hayes for
two days.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
I'm like, Charlie Hayes, can you imagine what these NFL
dudes are going through?

Speaker 1 (28:26):
I cannot. So that's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying.
What would you tell him?

Speaker 8 (28:29):
It's I would tell about the final thought. I would
tell him find a way to stretch out to the
rest of the season on injured reserved and get out.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
Get out.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
You've made eighty tow one hundred million dollars by then,
call to day. Have a new career, be a broadcaster.
Do something. Have a podcast. Everyone's got a podcast. All right,
let's do this the solar power parlay.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
Of the week.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
Let's go.

Speaker 6 (28:54):
It's time to parlay into your weekend. Rich Davis loves parlay.
I do make it money. His new solar panels Solar
one DraftKings.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
My solar power parlay. Ah, raight lose. You're making money
for money. Hey, before you walk this, I have a theory.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
My theory is this Rich did nothing but brag about
his solar panels for like two years, my solar panels,
and ever.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Since he got them in like installed, and they've been
kicking it. He hasn't talked about him really since.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
So my theory is it really wasn't worth the money
and rebate he got back.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
I don't know are they even paying off?

Speaker 4 (29:28):
Do they work well?

Speaker 3 (29:30):
My solar panels. Yeah, my electric bills zero dollars.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
Well, I guess the joke's on U.

Speaker 3 (29:37):
Brought to you by Draft Kings the Solar Power Parlay
score big with DraftKings Sports Book, the best place to
bet touchdowns. Download the Draft Kings Sports Book app. Use
code CR Show. That's called cr Show. New customers get
two fifteen bonus bets when you bets five buckaroos, and
you get one month of NFL plus Premium on house.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Only at DraftKings, the crown is yours. Now. I got
a solar power parlay, okay, and I'm gonna.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Hit you up with a teaser dead parlay boy, teaser
bed solar power boy, Solar power Dickey.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
All right, So what I like my filler panel.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
By the way, if you ever go to Rich's house,
pay a little summer barbecue or something, watch some football.

Speaker 4 (30:15):
So this is my pool.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Either my filler panel.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
He shows them off. It's part of the deal. Hey listen,
give me here. I'll show you my backyard. Either my
filler panel. Hey listen, what do you want me to
tell you? They're nice there? All right, So here's your parlay.
I'm all about the three team money line. Parlay, you
start playing with points. Of course, it's tricky. Anything bigger
than two, as far as like legs of a parlay

(30:40):
gets tricky.

Speaker 3 (30:41):
So I like the three team money line parlay. You
just need three teams to win. As you know, we've
been in four for four pools and what does it
always do it?

Speaker 4 (30:49):
I went three for.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
Four every week, so I feel like three. I'm still
in that four. Yeah, I feel like three is the pocket. Okay,
but you do parlay with the money line.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
Okay, Jets are gonna have a big bounce back game
against Tennessee. I don't think it was that the Jets stink.
I think the forty nine ers are that good. And
the game is in Tennessee. But I mean, listen that game, Okay,
how bad was How bad was Will Levis and that
offense that they let Chicago win that game. I don't
think the Jets are bad at all. I like the
Jets at Tennessee. I'm want to stick with my boy

(31:22):
Jaden Daniels. They're playing the Giants, and I think the
Giants are terrible, and Jaden Daniels had moments where I'm like,
all right, I see the talent there. I think they
have a bounce back week in Washington. So I like
the Jets. I like Washington against the New York Stinky Giants.
And even without Oh, they're no longer the New York
Football Giant.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
No, the New York Stinky Giants, the New York asstreagu Giants, and.

Speaker 3 (31:46):
My forty nine ers are playing in Minnesota. The points
spread went down quite a bit. It's down to like
four four and a half. So the money line is
minus two to two five minus two twenty five. So
if you throw that into parlay, Jets, Commanders, forty nine
ers all just need to win one hundred pays to
eighty six.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
I don't doubt your forty nine ers are gonna beat
the Vikings. And I say that respectfully and our boss,
big Vikings fan. Yeah, but you don't think Darnold is
going to really shining to hand those I know you
say that. Okay, stop sick, but there's always that like
you want it.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
Don't need to cover, man, they need to just wait.
They just kind of win.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
So Niners just I think it's going to be closer
than you. I'll say it one more time. Niners just
need to beat Vikings. Command those just need to beat
the Giants and the Jets big rebound against Tennessee one
hundred wins to eighty six. That your DraftKings power parlay
and one quick teaser. We'll go to Dan Buyer fan date.

Speaker 6 (32:41):
I like it.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
Chicago is playing at Houston. Six and a half point favorites,
make it point five, make it half a point. So
Houston just needs to beat Chicago at home. Caleb Williams
will play better, but they won't beat Houston. So Texans just.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
Need to win.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
And say with Atlanta at Philadelphia, Atlanta looked like trash
last week. Kirk Cousins not a not a good start.
I don't think it gets better in Philadelphia. So that's
your primetime Sunday night game as well. So I like
Eagles just to win, Texans just to win, and that's
your teaser bet.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
They have it.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
DraftKings dot com code see our show at.

Speaker 6 (33:14):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to listen.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
Live do to live from the MGM Big Fight this weekend.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
Hello, Hey, come on.

Speaker 9 (33:33):
I will bunnage Berlanga. I don't care about Mexican Mustard, Benavidez, Grufford, nobody.
I'm the Muster, I'm the Crawford. That's so Goodello.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
We should just tell people Kenelo Alvarez on the show,
that's Cavino. I'm rich and I'm gonna bet, yeah, a
couple bucks on Berlanga. It's such a long shot. I
was talking to Everybudy, Bernardo Azuna, Bernie.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
Yeah, he's Hall of Famer, He's a Hall of Fame announcer,
and he was telling me that Berlonga has never knocked
anyone out after the sixth round, and I got inside
scoop that he's a little dehydrated. Ayan was pretty intense
all the round, dripped in. He looked too thin.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
If Berlanga catches Canalo, which is dufel, Yeah, rounds one
through twelve, every single round Berlanga by knockout pays one
hundred to one.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
And I think Canelo takes him into the deep waters
just to hurt him, just to punish him again, because
it's not just his machismo. I don't like this guy
sort of thing, even though there's some of that. Is
the Mexican versus the Puerto Rican fighter. Yeah, he wants
to show that the Mexicans here dominate the Puerto Ricans.
I'm telling you it goes deeper than just I'm a

(34:42):
badder dude than you. So I think he takes him
into the deep rowns eight nine, ten Canelo with the wind.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
But did he say the deep waters? The deep waters?
You know?

Speaker 3 (34:52):
I was giving you guys my solar power parlay. Yeah,
I want to add one more because Danny, you said
I should be very strict about keeping track of my
bets this year. Yes, and as of right now, I'm
three and four. I lost the teaser last night, and.

Speaker 4 (35:06):
What are you so far since you've got off the airplane.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
I'm down two hundred at the tables, but that doesn again,
I'm talking about my sports gambling.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
You're down two hundred and you're up like three downs,
I think because I got a big fat break.

Speaker 4 (35:18):
I did.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
But last night, I'll be honest, the fourth quarter fed
me because I needed over forty two and a half
on the teaser bet. No team scored in the fourth quarter.
I was like, I just need a field goal and
I win this bet. No one scored because the Dolphins
kept trying to punch it in the end zone every
time they were in the red zone because they.

Speaker 1 (35:35):
Were a trailing. So I lost last night three and four.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
I gave you my teaser Texans and Eagles, and I
gave you the Jets commander's forty nine ers parlay. I
have one more teaser I want to add, and that
is the Detroit Lions minus one and a half. They're
seven and a half point favorites. They're playing the Bucks.
I like Baker, but I like Detroit more.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
That's about.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
And the Dallas Cowboys are playing Carolina in Carolina and
only favored by six.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
The Cowboys just need to win. The Cowboys will win.
So I like that a lot. Think about it.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
Guys, hit us up at Covino and Rich agree or disagree,
and we're gonna do something new next now we're called
Lock and Key.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
It's a game we're gonna play.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
We're gonna get you involved, and it involves our locks
of the week when we're talking football. But there's some
great games, uh this weekend, some great fights. I'm super
pumped about it. We are live from the ti iraq
dot Com studio live from Vegas.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
MGM and rapid radios.

Speaker 2 (36:30):

no subscription or monthly fee. Ever, and we've been yeah forever.

Speaker 1 (36:58):

Speaker 3 (37:02):
So, you know, I wanted to bring up one thing
in the baseball world because I know we're gonna talk
more NFL and we're gonna be visited by the classy
James Lennon Junior is gonna be.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
On the show. You know.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
I just saw this classy guy walk by and I
was like, oh, there he is. Now, it's just so classy.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
Before we get to James Lennon Junior and of course
a bunch of NFL stuff.

Speaker 9 (37:20):
I wonder if he talks like this he always talks.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
I guess I can't wait. Tonight been nice.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
Kind of big night in baseball because for the first
time in easily over a year. You know who makes
it return to the mountain tonight? Who Jacob de Grom
for the Texas Rangers show de Grom starts tonight, And
I did throw a couple bucks. I'm not counting this
starts with my football gambling, but I did. Since we're
all together, I put a quick little moneyline parlay on

(37:49):
the Mets, Yankees, and Dodgers, all three.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
Of our teams to win tonight.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
The Mets have a tough one against the Phillies, Yankees
are playing the Socks, and the Dodgers got to take
care of the braves from me, so I like the Mets, Yankees,
Dodgers parlay noise.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
That's a fun one. Just had a control.

Speaker 2 (38:05):
Hereuney, it's Vegas, It's Vegas, Vegas.

Speaker 1 (38:09):
Is that what all you have to say? James?

Speaker 4 (38:10):
Vegas?

Speaker 1 (38:10):
He gus baby Vegas, Vegas? What the heck?

Speaker 2 (38:14):
And you know the new slogan, what happens in Vegas
only happens in Vegas.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
True? Yes, I listened, like you said, James Lennon Jr.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
More NFL lots of fun here live from the MGM
coven On Ritch on Fox Sports Radio.
