Thus expresspros dot Com. Alright, NBA, we're going to talk
that how or Jackson Dart talk about him a little bit.
There's an interesting move he's doing for the NFL draft,
and we'll play some games. But I got to ask
everyone in the studio, are there celebrities that you mess
(02:13):
up once? In a while, like, oh, they look alike,
so I mess him up. When I was a kid,
I would always again, when I was a kid, I
would confuse Larry Dallas from Three's Company with Neil Diamond.
Oh used to think Peter Drummond from No. I used
to different show mister Drummond was Peter Gammons. I thought
they were the same guy. I used to think Patrick
(02:34):
Swayzey and Kurt Russell were the same guy.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
That's a good one. Yeah, when I was little.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
When I was little, same kind of hair, same Hey,
I know, I mean obviously I'm a grown up now,
so I know the difference now, Like Josh Lucas, Matthew McConaughey.
That's the one I was thinking of too. But there
was a TMZ tour in La and this was on
social media today, went a little viral. They were having
one of those cheesy like let's go to the celebrities houses.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
If you look to your right, that's Tomanks his house
and oh my god, everyone look out the right side,
there's John.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Stamos and it was Rob Low and Rob Blow is
like jokingly frustrated, like, I'm not Stamos.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
That's a really funny moment.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
But then again, they're both sixty one and they look
maybe they're cut from the same cloth in a way
like oddly overly handsome, probly handsome for great.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Hair, great hair.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
You know, the two always confuse Amy Adams and Isla Fisher.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
It's a good one.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
You know. Back in the day, we used to confuse
Meno Genobili and Belki from perfect strangers. They have to
be the same Barelas. But there's a lot of them, yeah,
cut from the same cloth. You always see doppelgangers.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Stone called Steve Austin and Mike who runs this place? O, No,
you mean an old Stone cult.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
That's Mike.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
How about Jamie Presley and Margo Robbie two or three
other blonds who look exactly like them.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Those are those are all good ones.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
But I just thought that was funny to bring up
for a second. Because about Javier Bardem and Jeffrey Morgan.
That's a damn good one too. A lot of these
guys are the same. Benicio del Toro and Brad Pitt
are cut from the same cloth. So Panicio got some
darker features. So it's a funny viral clip. You'll see
it later on rob Loo is like, what I'm not
(04:17):
John Stamer, ROBO's great. Yeah, it's really funny. They're both
in They're both not only ridiculously handsome, they're both really charming,
funny guys. Yeah, I love how Robblo's kids make fun
of them on social media. That's also a lot of fun. Anyway,
let's talk a little NFL draft. We're less than a
week away. I see all the guys, the editors in
the hallway talking about who's going where, who's picking who,
what's gonna happen. We got the big Fox Sports Radio
(04:39):
NFL Draft show that's happening Thursday night, and Jackson Dark.
From what I understand, Yard get way to Jackson is
poland an interesting move, which is he's not going to
Green Bay to be there live for the draft.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
And it's an interesting thought.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
If you were a young kid, college kid that's about
to have your family stars be changed. You're gonna make
it to the National Football League. The money, the fame,
Your family could be middle class or struggling, and all
of a sudden again your your family's future has been
changed forever. Would you want to be there to awkwardly
(05:20):
bro hug Roger Goodell, get up on that stage and
hold up your jersey or do you want to spend
that time in your living room with like your cousins
and friends just chowing out on the couch. It's a
great question. I think it's more trendy, especially this year,
to not go for whatever reason. So he's not on
the attendees list against Jackson darr Ole miss do you
(05:40):
gotta go? Well, he's projected what bottom of the first
round exactly?
Speaker 3 (05:45):
It could be a team that could jump up towards
the middle.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
You know, someone that high. I think you should. These
are once in the lifetime things and I get it. Well,
you could say, then you should be there with your family.
I think if you're more bottom then I understand. But
this is a major event. Are you a top teaser
of the draft? These are spectacles nowadays we talked about
(06:09):
the evolution of the draft. For you not to go,
it's like the guy who doesn't go to his proms,
like why not? Well, why wouldn't you go? The guy
that doesn't go to the company Christmas party? And you're like, well,
why didn't you go? Devil's advocate? Do you want me to
be Kanu or or the guy who who is receiving
an award he doesn't go because what didn't mean anything
to you? I get being with your family is a
(06:30):
big deal, but you should be there for that moment.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Let me play Devil's advocate. Do you want me to do?
CANU do you feel about? How do you feel about
the guy that wins an award and doesn't go? Okay?
Then why would this be any different? Let's say who
Devil's advocate?
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Let's say, yeah, Aaron Rodgers, and you think you're going
at the top and then you embarrassingly sit there pick
after pick after pick. Didn't ted also happen to who else?
Was it like there's another quarterback in recent year? Is
that was sitting there like a Putts? You don't want
to be that guy. Yeah, you don't want to be
(07:06):
that guy, but you also don't want to be the
guy who doesn't show up to receive his Academy award
because he's too cool for it. So on behalf of
Jackson Darta, I say, thank you. I look at it
this way as well. It's an opportunity to showcase your
style and I know that doesn't mean a lot too
some but what are they feature in you're gonna see
(07:28):
this in the NBA playoffs this weekend. What are they
gonna show all pregame the players walking in the tunnel
and what they're wearing their quote unquote drip. Honestly, it's
gonna be like, look at that jacket, look at those sneakers,
look at that style is a big part of the NBA.
In the NFL, I feel like, you don't think does
an opportunity to be like yours. I look at my jewelry,
look at my suit. I get to strut up there,
(07:50):
hold up my jersey. Bro hug the commissioner, and it's
it's your first real introduction to the casual fan.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Johnny Manziel had to wait until two.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
You know, I was gonna say Menzel and then I'm like,
I thought, if I was wrong, you guys would make
fun of me.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Yeah, he had a way. We make funny you no
matter what. So you should have went for it.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
One thing I've heard Coven know certain players say is
my dream forever has been to be up there on
stage and giving Goodell a hug because that means they
made it to the NFL.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Yeah, it should be an honor. That's my point and
I feel like you're snubbing the honor. I know that's
not the intention of The intention here is to spend
it with your family. But here's what I have to
say to that.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Family's everything and they got you to this point. Without
their support, you'd be nothing, and you want to share
that with them. But guess what, how about you go
up there and receive this honor and then you celebrate
with your family.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
You could bring your mother. How about you could do both.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
How About you could go up there and do your
thing and you could slap Goodell in the ass if
you want, and put the hat on and show your
style and then leave and go party with your family.
You know, no one's saying you can't party with your family.
So for me, I just feel like you're being lazy
about it and you're just choosing not to go.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Nothing.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
Nothing makes me smile more than on draft night. Want
some of these moms who you know, sacrifice so much
for their kids and they see their son get drafted.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
It's a beautiful moment.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
And what's even a more beautiful moment is when some
of those moms push away the scandalous girl that's hanging
with their son, like, this is not your moment, and
I think you regret it too. Man, how many people
pass on big moments like I mean, I know he
didn't pass on it, but you always hear how Dwight
good and didn't make the parade right?
Speaker 1 (09:24):
And just you live with that the rest of your life.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
There are so many New York mets in eighty six
that were drugged out and allegedly before didn't go to
his graduation.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Rich didn't you not walk?
Speaker 2 (09:35):
That's such a weird thing though, Yeah, but I think
you should, like you accomplish something and you don't show up.
To me, that's just well, then what was the point?
My program director told me?
Speaker 1 (09:46):
He told you.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
I doesn't make it right now, but it stuck in
my head. He goes, you went to college to get
a great job, right, I go, yeah, yeah, you call
him manipulating you. He said, you're on the air in
New York City, you got the best job. What are
you gonna do with you? Do you need to go back?
And I go, you know, I don't really feel like it.
I think he just got in your head. I think
it's a weak choice. I think you walk proudly and
make your family. But you do it for your family.
Speaker 4 (10:06):
Man.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
They want to see you succeed. You want to see
you walk. They wouldn't have went some Some people don't walk.
Some people don't go to their graduation. Some people don't
show up to retrieve their award. For me, this is
an honor that I think he'll regret missing out on
because he could still party with his family. Don't give
me the family stuff, and it's a lame ass. Look
where you sit there with your Jeene shorts on, like
(10:28):
Brett Farv and everyone's going to criticize this stupid coucher
sitting on that's the couch they have.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
And we all get to judge their girlfriend or yes,
sitting next to them in the relationship between the mom
of course.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Yeah, you're putting your family in an AUF spot. Dudues
are all sitting there in their crocs.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
The famous picture of course with Russell Wilson in his
first yes and that.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
And I always remember ceedee lamb.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Remember his girlfriend at the time was like looking at
his phone and stuff and you're like, oh, this is
this is over.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
In defense of Russell Wilson, it was his wife.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
It was his wife, Yeah, it was We always say that.
I know it's his wife, but you know, what do
you do.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
You're looking at their decor and you're like, oh, they
must shop at Ashley Furniture.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Like it's awkward. I don't like that. Go there and
leave it up.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
That was the only the only benefit of the twenty
twenty or twenty one draft during COVID was I love
getting a glimpse inside every coach's house, at every drafte's house.
I thought that was sort of cool. So here I
am saying, you know this, there's a little something fun
about each got the camera in the living room, so funny.
(11:36):
So I think it's an honor. I think I think
you go, Rich, I do. I think you go, But
it seems to be more of a popular thing to
not go. I got to ask you legitimately because apparently
there's a bunch of names on the not attending list.
I am a huge NFL fan, in fact, my favorite sport.
Love talking about it more than anything here on Fox
Sports Radio. And I know we got the first round
(11:57):
coverage during our special Dollar Shave Club sponsoring that and
on Thursday night after the first round?
Speaker 1 (12:08):
Is it nerdy to watch?
Speaker 2 (12:10):
I mean, just keep it on the background, meaning like
I if there's a player left on the board, there's
intrigued to be like, oh, what they slipped.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
But I feel like after a round one day.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
Day two is fun rich. I think it's when you
get to the sixth, seventh round and I'm still getting
text messages from my older brother saying, see who they
got the six.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
But I'm a Niners fan.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
But tell me the Niners in the second round or
third round with the pick you know eighty seven took
and it's a guy I don't know. So I'm just going, Oh,
here's the thing with me personally, I can't really get
into other programming or like Black Mirror or White Lotus
or whatever show until the sun is down. Anyway, I
really can't. I can't focus on a show. I just
(12:53):
can't get into that zone or into that mood. It's
like sexy time. I can't get into that mood and
the sun he's still out. But you only get on
with your girl during the night. I I'm just saying
I'm not in that vibe right respectfully, So like to
have that on in the background is perfectly fine. You
don't have to be glued to that dB.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
I do think that the draft changes.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
And obviously the schedule has changed because for years it
was a two day event Saturday and Sunday, and the first,
second and third rounds would be on the first day
and then they have the rest of it. But I
do think like the first two days, the Thursday and Friday,
are really about the players and the teams, and then
I feel like four through seven or more about names
in college that you kind of knew and guys that
(13:35):
could be going unique places and different stories. And then
looking back on the first three rounds, that's kind of
how the coverage ends up going because it isn't picked
for Picky. They're just putting up graphics of people who
are picked in the sixth and seventh round at that point.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
But it's a different vibe.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
It's also just great indicator that hey, before you know it,
a new football season will begin. Baseball's in full swing,
NBA playoffs in full swing, and it's crazy to think
by next week, by Thursday, does Aaron Rodgers have to
make a decision. It's my daily Aaron Rodgers ment. You
mentioned Denny you could hit me later by next week. Yes, no, no,
(14:13):
he's just straight up being disrespectful. At that point, Yeah,
you got to.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
You know what else is fun to piggyback off of
what dB was saying on the weekend. You get a
lot of former players of the team coming up to
read the pick, and a lot of them smack talk.
So they're gonna be in Green Bay, right, so you're
gonna get a cowboy up there talking smack about how
the cowboys run the world and all that in all
the booing in the back and forth. That's fun. I
(14:38):
like when the ex players mix it up with the crowd.
Do you guys, Do you guys remember this moment?
Speaker 1 (14:45):
Jets? It's from the draft? YEP. I love misspelling Jets.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
They've done that with Eagles Jets, any other fans or
personnel or mayor's mispronounced misspelled teams. Not that I remember,
but fun atmosphere. So I say, you gotta go. That's
my side of it, and you know, good luck and
congrats to Jackson, Dart and everybody else.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Cove pointed it out, Seat.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
Pointed it out when we filled in for Dan Patrick
earlier this week. I would say the NFL Draft is
top three things in our lifetime that have evolved to
something completely different, and the top three, and if you
think we're missing one, Top three if you if you're
a kid of the eighties and nineties, let's say you're
roughly forty years old in our lifetime. Top three the
(15:33):
NFL Draft, which went from a bunch of people in
a boardroom with landlines with the you know, eighties wood paneling,
walls and cigars and cigarettes, like, who are you taking
in the first round? Oh?
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Who the Bear's taken? It looks like a little league draft.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Honestly, it looked like the little league draft where a
couple dads get together. It went from that to hound
down to take Bobby McMillan. Wait, he's turning six or seven.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
But his mom's hot. I got Bobby. Okay.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
That's how it was. And now you pick a city.
It gives a little boom to the economy. One hundred
thousand people go to check it out fans in life
and two himeras.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Go to Detroit. Like both days it was like two
hundred thousand.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
So Top three things that have changed in our lifetime,
I'll say from nineteen eighty until now, the magnitude of
the NFL Draft.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
Number two.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
Mixed martial arts and any type of fighting it went
from like the backyard thing like people talked about like oh,
like well like jiu jitsu or karate.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Or something, and then you saw the whole sport evolve.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Yeah, it was actually just different styles fighting different styles.
Now it's actually mixed martial arts. You're in the octagon, you.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
Are under on that number. Covino Detroit saw a record
breaking seven hundred and seventy five thousand fans over the
three day event.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
That's insane. Yeah, I mean it was oceans of people.
We all remember that. And you know the third being
something that you're gonna witness this weekend. It's not just
one day anymore. It's a weekend. It's WrestleMania weekend.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
When we were.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Kids, or your grandfather and dad would talk about wrestling,
it was like old Harry dudes and single it's like
Bruno San Martino. And now WrestleMania is gonna be in Vegas,
multiple day event, billion dollar industry. So graphics alone, the graphics,
special effects, the fireworks and everything.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
You're in an atmosphere.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
So I think in our lifetime from nineteen eighty the
announcer way hotter than Finkel was. Oh yeah, but that again,
don't you you don't like the Baldo look of the
mustache cubing dome, we are but NFL Draft, Mixed martial
Arts and wrestling Top three things that have evolved in
our lifetime. If you want to add to that list
(17:44):
at Covin on Rich. Now coming up, we're gonna play
a fun little game, give away a prize if you
want to in eight seven seven, nine to nine on Fox.
Is it Steve Cavino or Bill Belichick. We created this
game because we realized Cavino and Belichick both grumpy guys
that date younger women named Jordan.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
So we'll give away a stainless steel swiggy.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Oh it's a good looking swiggy little Fox Sports Radio prize.
So again eight seven, seven, nine to nine on Fox,
it's the swiggy that gives you the swaggy plus a
little preview of what you need to watch this weekend.
We call weekend hobnobbing. And involved in the weekend hobnobbing
a hell of a lot of NBA playoffs to get to.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
So that's all coming up right here. Coive Meat on
Wretch on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (18:23):

some live shows this weekend, and thank you for enjoying
our live show Cobadino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio
(20:34):
Live from the Tirack dot Com Studio. I think two
of your coolest pieces of sports memorabilia are your Kenny Powers,
Danny mcbrideese in baseball La flama blanca. I love Kenny Powers,
he's bending down. And the fact that you got Fred
Durst to sign a Red Yankees hat.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
That is true. That is cool.
Speaker 2 (20:55):

Perfect. All right, let's do this. Let's play a game.
It's try it. Come on.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
Steve Covino and Bill Belichick has some things in common.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Bill Belichick's the man. They both have younger girlfriends named Jordan. Yeah, man,
if that was my daughter. May both have a powerful
presence in the sports world. We're harder, so you can
do that.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
When you're seventy two, you tell us, is it Steve
Cavino or build tell Check, I'm.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
Not mad at him at all. I want to know
what it is.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
I'm telling you, Danny, this game is getting more confusing
because I don't know if you know this.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
Camino now makes us seat see his girlfriend on all
our emails.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
Ah yeah, I bring her to work with me sometimes too.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:59):
And a happy bird day to Bill. A couple of
days ago, he turned the Big seven to three Jesus.
So that means he's only five years older than Steve Covino. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Is that odd to some people when they realize, Like,
my dad's seventy three. I don't look at my dad.
And Bill Belichick is like may friends.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
All right, let's meet our contestant on the studio. Lin.
He's looking to win a C and R Stayless Steel Swiggy,
and then I'll quickly explain the game. Mark in Carson City, Nevada. Mark, Hey, Hey, hey, Mark,
what do you do for a living there?
Speaker 1 (22:30):
I am a insta car delivery driver. Nice man? All right,
keep us all while you're driving around. Appreciate that man.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
That's shady to me, yeap, Mark, Here is how Covino
or Belichick works. I've done extensive research on coach and
Covino and their young girlfriends. They're basically the same guy.
Each member of the crew is going to read a
fun fact, and then you gotta tell us is it
Steve Covino or Bill Belichick? You have five chances to
get too correct?
Speaker 1 (22:57):
Alright, you ready? All right?
Speaker 3 (23:00):
Rich is going to read the first fun fact.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
Okay, this guy, whether it's Kavino or Belichick, has talked
about his love for NFL films. This guy's talked about
his love for NFL films. Who is it, cavin No
or Belichick?
Speaker 1 (23:16):
Uh? Cavino No, Bill Belichick?
Speaker 3 (23:21):
That was Billy.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
Yeah, I mean I love NFL films. I never talked
about it.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
It's okay, you still got four chances to get too correct,
and Dan Bayer is going to read dv gona read
the second fun fact?
Speaker 4 (23:34):
Divino or Belichick. He was seen on the TV show
Hell's Kitchen.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Bella chick. No, it was.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
It was a lifetime ago with my ex, but they
did show me. I even had a line on Hell's Kitchen.
Oh what's your line? It was tast like a work boot.
Someone made something and it was horrible, but they kept
showing me at the tastes.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
Like a work work, Yeah, so I was. I was
actually had dinner. You ordered your meat, well done. I
had dinner in Hell's kitchen, ma'am.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
Yeah, all right, Mark, it's all right, but the pressure's
on a little bit. You have you got to get
two out of these next three. Okay, Spot has the
third fund. Fat This is a tricky one, all right.
Speaker 5 (24:19):
His Jordan dressed up as a mermaid for Halloween twenty
twenty four? Is it Covino or Belichick?
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Cool? Oh my god, let's go.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
Belichick. Yeah, yes, he's on the bone.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
And I confirmed his actually didn't dress up as anything
for But it was a trick question because I dressed
up as a mermad man.
Speaker 3 (24:48):
All right, So halfway to a swiggy Iowa. Sam has
the fourth fund. Fact all right, IOA L. Samuel L. Johnson.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
Sam is very confused. Center.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
It's frazzled. I clean my throat there, all right. He
he refuses to play the game Jenga. He refuses to
play the game Jenga. Covino or Belichick.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
It's a good one.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
I don't want to say one.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
Uh yes, dude, it's just the thing, and thank you.
Let me explain it. You man, people bust out these
corny games at a party. That's the end of the party.
I don't want to play this nonsense. Get out here.
What am I college kid into it now? I'm not
at the.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
Giant Jenga Giant. If you're at a bar that has
like the Giant, all the fun is over at that point.
I was having fun talking and hanging out and you
busted out stupid game.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
He hates Giant Connect four if then and then it
topples over. Everybody laughs at you. It's a stupid game.
Get out of here.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
How insecure you that you'd be mad about losing genda?
You know what, It all worked out.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
I got it right.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
I don't play Jenga, man, I don't. Jane back against
the wall didn't matter. Mark walks away with a CNR
swigging in city.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
I was nervous from ark for a minute. You pulled
that off.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
Congratulations, buddy. We're going to mail out a CNR Swiggy to.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
You, alright. Hey, enjoy your weekend, buddy.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Wow, we continue to be the same guy, Caick Easter
Happy NBA playoff weekend.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
A lot going down.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
In fact, someone's got a Swiggy in their Easter basket.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
You know, I think, uh, I think a Swiggy is
a perfect Eastern basket gift.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
Hey, if you want to qualify for one without playing
a game, we play games every day.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
But all you have to do is follow our.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
Podcast on Apple Podcasts Covino and Rich and leave a
nice comment, say something nice. If you follow already, just
leave another review, and if Danny g Ever emails you,
you qualify.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
You could win a Swiggy. So there you go.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Now, before we get to weekend, hob nobbin what to
watch in the world of sports and entertainment, there's a
lot of a lot of appointment watching with NBA playoffs
and some great stuff that's streaming. So we got a
lot to get to a weekend, so I want to
save time for that. But I do want to ask
you one thing, Kamina. I saw you're a big fight fan.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
I sure am. And there's speculation about Jake Paul.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
No, there's no speculation, is it official? I mean, in
today's world, you never know, right, I mean, we saw
all these women go into outer space this week and
people are saying it didn't happen, So I don't know
what to believe.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
But there is a rumor slash official word that Jake
Paul's next.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
Opponent is who is Julio Seesar Chavez's not the father
of the junior, Oh not the dad Julio Sar Chavas Junior,
who's thirty nine years old. I believe I'm surprised to
see he's thirty nine. Didn't he say that he was Saturday?
You know, I'll explain. Yeah, all right, he is gonna
go down at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, Saturday,
(27:48):
June twenty eighth on his own pay per view. So
MVP Promotions, which is Jake Paul and Golden Boy De
la Joya joined forces to make this fight happen. And
you have to remember, Chavez Junior does have a bad reputation,
but he's a former champion who's battled Sergio Martinez.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
That was a battle didn't get ko by Canelo.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
Some people say he lost every round, but you know,
he showed up out of shape and that's the criticism.
The criticism with julios A Sar Chavez Junior is that
he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
His dad, legendary fighter, fought his way to the top.
His son sort of lazy, but he has a good jaw,
and he's a strong puncher. And when he's committed and
(28:31):
he's not on the weed, when he's not smoking and
out of shape, he's actually a really tough fighter. And
he's a tall, big dude. So I don't know what
weight they're fighting at, but he'd have to beef up
a little bit, hoping that he comes in shape, because
he could beat Jake Paul, no doubt. Well, I look
at Julio Caesar Chavez, like you said, he's thirty nine,
(28:51):
he's fifty four to six and one career. I was
gonna say he's had sixty two fights, So the kids
fought a lot.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
Yeah, And Jake Paul's eleven and one.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
So again, the only criticism here is is that Chaves
Junior hasn't fought in a minute, and he's known for
being lazy. If and it's a big if, if he
shows up in shape, Jake Paul's got his hands full
with this dude.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
And by the way, you know how much pride is
on the line.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
You think Chavez Junior wants to show up with that
legendary name in front of all these Mexican fans, and
it's more. It's kind of a cultural thing too, because
he represents Chaves his dad in Mexico, right, Yeah, and
Jake Paul. They call him El Gaio Jake Paul. He's
got that Puerto Rican backing because he's lives in Puerto Rico. Well,
he lives in Puerto Rico now, and there's that rivalry
(29:38):
there between Puerto Rico because they embrace him in Mexico.
So there's gonna be a lot of fans excited about
this fight. I'm team Chavez Junior. If he's in shape,
I wonder if.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
I'm excited about this.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
I'ven't made it up my mind because at first I
thought it was a senior and I'm like, he's gonna
fight an old man. No, no, No, he's fighting again,
a bona fide former champion who had tons of potential
and a guy who just got in his own way
for being lazy.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
I mean, he sounds like another sham to me.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
He fight your Riah Hall a year ago, sham he fought,
He fought Sergio Martinez. You know, Chavis Junior fought a
lot of big names. He's a big name. Keep him on.
He lost to Canelo Alvarez. Yeah, he went the distance
with Canelo, So this favors Caesars Chaviz Junior. But that
(30:30):
was in twenty seventeen, and a lot happens in eight years,
So twenty Jake Paul's active in you know, training all
the time. He's a big dude. I'm looking at his
you know, fight history. He's fought, He's fought some good fighters.
But again, this is a long time ago. At one point,
Sesar Chavez Junior was forty and oh and then the
(30:51):
wheels sort of fell off a little bit, and you know, we'll.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
See what happens.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
But if you're a fight fan, Jake Paul official Julio
Caesar Chavez Junior in June.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
To pick and old guys, is that he's older.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
I mean, you thought it was his dad that would
have been That would have been great, Travis in his sixties.
What does it, Jake clot to fight guys that are
close to social security? Here? Now, all right, let's go
to Dan Buyer for an update. And then we got
weekend hobnobbin.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
What's up Dan, guys?
Speaker 4 (31:18):

after two rounds of play, and former Ole Miss quarterback

on Netflix. It's like the modern day Twilight Zone, Black

the way of our lives.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
I hear it's like dark and creepy. I'm like, he's
watch always dark and creepy, Yeah, but more so than ever.
But it's season seven. Here's my advice.

Skip episode three because that's where I stopped and I
can't get through it because it's so boring. So I
hear it's great. One and two are great, Skip three
and then continue on with four.
Speaker 1 (37:37):
Black Mirror.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
Ryan Kugler's The Sinners comes out this weekend, and they're
saying it's gonna rival minecraft. They're wondering is it gonna

I was hesitant to watch Love on the Spectrum because
I thought it might be a little too emotional. I
didn't want to get all emotionally caught up. I'm like, eh,
my nephew is on the Spectrum.
Speaker 1 (39:30):
I watched this.
Speaker 2 (39:30):
It is the most lovable, sweet show I've seen in years.
These kits are rock stars Janner and Connor.
Speaker 1 (39:37):

so that's gonna be exciting. And Danny j I know
you got all the time for the NBA games, I

eggs of crack that can't resist. You know, those new ones,
not those gooey ones we grew up with. No, no, no,

at those all weekend, just trying to resist them. Like
Eminem's like to the Tenth Power, anything else before we go.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
Movie.
Speaker 5 (41:48):
I mean, if you're a fan of Yellowstone Ransom Canyon,
it's kind of like that same vibe, but it stars
Josh Dumel and Minka Kelly, so I feel want some
handsome and some hotness.
