The guys break down Game 1 victories for the Thunder, Timberwolves, Celtics, Cavaliers and more before assessing each team's championship odds. They also react in real time as the Warriors take down the Rockets in Game 1 of their series.

Later, Arnie and Plank set the stage for the NFL draft, debating where guys like Shedeur Sanders and Ashton Jeanty could end up, stacking up a jumbled quarterback class, and much more! do we You only sit in ten Roman numerals tonight?

Speaker 4 (00:15):
I had eleven, I had eleven. I had eleven.

Speaker 5 (00:18):
I didn't get the eleventh.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
I know the eleventh was well because the producer didn't
answer me on my on the text chain. But let's
let's let's number eleven is Dennis Scott doing the play
by play?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Okay, Well, as as we're coming to you live from
the tyrack dot com studios, tire rack dot com will
help you get there an unmatched selection, fast free shipping,
and free roadhatcher protection. Tyrack dot com the way tire

Speaker 4 (00:40):
I noticed, Can I just say something right off the bat?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
I noticed, the only reason I had eleven Roman numerals
is last week you wouldn't let me get to.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
Some of the Roman numerals. I was very upset about that.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Well, like ro won World twenty three last week was
to wish to Saga a happy birthday, and you never
got to that.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
I don't think there was twenty three Roman numerals last
week oh, I had.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Him in number twenty three.

Speaker 5 (01:04):
I'm sorry, Well, is it the Sager's birthday?

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:07):
It was Disager's birthday. He turned the big seven zero,
the milestone. And I don't understand why you couldn't you
know than you? Yeah you didn't know that.

Speaker 6 (01:17):
Are you actually believing any sentence that comes out?

Speaker 5 (01:21):
I didn't know if it was really your birthday?

Speaker 4 (01:23):
What's your birthday? Was it not? The saga? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:25):
They did celebrate it. Uh, it was nice of them.
It went on and on on one of the shows
last week.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Kiss that should have been Roman numeral one. What done?
You're pissed off? You just look older than me. You're
not older than me, not even close to as old
as you. Wow? Are you kidd Are you being serious
or not that old? I'm be serious. I thought you
were like sixty six or something? Holy cow? Wow? Six? Wow?

Speaker 3 (01:52):
So you forgot to wish the Sager birthday and you
was your birthday? My birthday's next week? What sixty five?
Now right, I'll be turning to twenty seven fifty? How
old are you?

Speaker 5 (02:03):
I'll turn to fifty.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Wow. That's a milestone. That is a milestone.

Speaker 6 (02:08):
You should know what we did on the weeknight show.
We just celebrated yet again, the thirty ninth. We're just
such at that number. I'll be happy to turn thirty
nine again, that's for certain. But okay, so you claim
that there was a twenty third Roman number last week
which saga happy Birthday, which never happened.

Speaker 5 (02:24):
Wow, this week you only have ten.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
But let's some eleven.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
We need to have the saga in on these group
texts in the future.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Because he doesn't have a phone, he won't give me
his number.

Speaker 6 (02:35):
I don't know separate things. I have a phone. Some
people just won't give you the number.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
Oh wow.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Ian sent a text at six eleventh Central time, all right,
six eleven, I'm hanging it up right now, and it
says just laying out. Todd's not going to be on
with us. He's at the hockey game tonight. Uh, and
then Arnie replies with cool. Twelve seconds later, Ian, you're there.

(03:01):
I mean you literally were just texting if you wanted
to know seven.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
It was seven minutes later.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Ian, you there, well, only because I wanted him to
pull something right away. I was hearing Dennis Scott do
the play by place, so I go, hey, plan keeps
talking about this producer that we have.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Maybe I'll text him. He never works, he never does anything.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
I'm like, maybe i'll text this producer, maybe he'll pull
the play by play for zero no response for hours.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Nothing. It's like like the phase of the earth, or
like he was the T and T crew.

Speaker 5 (03:42):
Yeah, did disappeared for a while.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Disappeared like is he okay? I gotta call the hospitale
all over the place?

Speaker 7 (03:50):
Right, just disappeared unblaterally Saga's seventy.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Now I didn't respond for hours?

Speaker 8 (03:57):
Am I?

Speaker 4 (03:57):
Am I lying about that? Am I lying? Spawned? And uh, well,
let's see twelve minutes later, you there?

Speaker 5 (04:04):
And I said, who asks to a text message? Says
hey you there?

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Well he doesn't answer me, Well he needs to answer.
Just new phone?

Speaker 5 (04:13):
Who is? Right? Exactly what you know about new phone?

Speaker 8 (04:17):
Who is?

Speaker 3 (04:19):
We've all heard it from the cool kid, exactly exactly.
I just I'm sorry, that's apical. Hey you there, it's
just ask your questions. Yeah, text, it's not going to disappear.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
Well, if he wasn't going to be there, I was
going to make Plank do it, you know, plank go ahead,
And I was working, but I respond then I'm there.
At the bottom line is no, I said, you know what,
he doesn't answer, Flank doesn't answer if you want something done,
do it yourself, and why we don't want to be
on the text to me exactly. So I had to
pullet myself and pass it on the crisp plank. So

(04:53):
I did it all myself and get ready for this.

Speaker 5 (04:55):
Well, then are you going to play? Go and play it?

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Then I can't. I have no way of playing. Then
I you're doing it all yourself.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Yeah, this is the magic that takes place before the
show go in Ian are you there?

Speaker 5 (05:06):
And then when he response, he's like too late, too
late on the topic.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
Do you know how many times during the day? Oh late? Note,
which was also I need to send the saga a
text and I can't send them nothing because I don't
have his phone number.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
You don't need to, I do need to twelve years
of work. We've been working together for like fifty years
and I have not had your number. You think i'd
have something to say to you in fifty years, right?

Speaker 6 (05:32):
Chris and I enjoy each other's company and we do
not text each texts.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
Yeah, we don't text.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
Well, I'm coming out in July to Los Angeles. So
dinner's on the Saga. We're ready to party, rock and roll. Man,
let's go. And this is why he won't hang out
with you. Wow, I'm staying at the Saga's house. What
are you talking about? That's right, Well we will be
changing the locks.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
Yeah, changed quickly, quickly. Well, anyway through that, I guess
we'll get to some now. Is that the Dennis Scott
is that three D that was trying to do the
play by play?

Speaker 4 (06:06):
Yes, it was hysterical, it was.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
It was he did everything and I was waiting for
him the goal and boom goes to dynamite.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
It was.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
It was great. I just loved it.

Speaker 8 (06:15):
Man.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
That was I think for me being a sideline guy
being that's kind of like the that's the gig in football, right,
I'm a sideline unless I haven't had a ton of
play by play opportunities yet. Maybe as I get older,
maybe by the time I'm seventy, I'll finally get that break.
But it's funny that someone like me would would kill

(06:36):
for something a moment like and I think most people
who did you work with up in Vermont that was
the long time double a play by play guy.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
Right, Oh yeah, yeah, Rich has right, right, Rich, great.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
Dude, he would have probably killed for an opportunity like that.
Dennis Scott gets it, and I mean just three like
bless his heart? Is that all we can really come
up with from that? I mean, I'll give him credit
for trying, but we'll play some of it a little.

Speaker 5 (07:01):
Bit later on the he was doing radio.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
He was doing radio play by play for the TV audience.

Speaker 6 (07:07):
In fact, it was on TNT tonight during the Calves game.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
You gotta do you want me to get it? Hold on,
there we go? Sorry, that was my button. There wasn't
up and right now.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
Fans who have a little technical difficulties, Andrew Wickins has.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
The ball right now, the wings have to wear Okay?
Does he not know that we can watch the game
with him? But hard figured? Does he think that the
television picture went out? Also? Is he was subscribing the
play by play.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
Or what there is?

Speaker 3 (07:44):
There is I should say a good point to be
brought up here, Arnie, that you do say there is
a distinct difference between radio play by playing TV play.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Imagine if this was hockey tonight.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
Oh my god, wow, it's hard.

Speaker 4 (07:59):
It's hard.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Poor three d Well, we'll get to more of that
fun a little bit later onto the program. Let's start
with the playoffs. I mean, obviously we should just shut
this thing down. Nobody's touching the thunder. But beyond that,
what do you want to get into from today? Because
I still think that first rounds lack a little bit
of drama, right, I mean, the Warriors are kicking the
snot out of the rockets. Every game today was a blowout.

(08:22):
Your Knicks put on a twenty one to zip run.
Yesterday the Lakers got smoked Nuggets Clippers. Was really the
only thing that's saved the first eight games of the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
Well, could I jump in here and go, well, then
you don't like sports if you think everything is it
was a good game that, which is what you do
to me when I told you I didn't was.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
I'm not coming in here and telling you that everything sucks.
I just say they're not good games.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
They are. They were horrible games, except for the one
game between the Clippers and Denver, which was quite enjoyable.
All the other games were blowouts. The next game worried me.
They were down by nine with nine minutes left. I'm like, oh, great,
they're gonna lose Game one, They're gonna lose the series.
Jalen Brunson got hurt again and it's all for not
But no, they came back.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
They turned it around, so that saved them. But otherwise
there's been nothing, absolutely nothing out there.

Speaker 5 (09:08):
You know, I guess maybe what's happening tonight is something.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Maybe what happened on Friday night with the te Wolves
and what they did the Lakers is something.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
Yeah, that is something, it is, right, I mean.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
But outside of that, if you just I put together
a list on Friday night.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
I got it.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
I just want to say what it was. Fifteen seven
Lakers over in Minnesota. I was real close to saying, Okay,
let me start looking for.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Law and order. This game's over Lakers. Yeah, I go,
Lakers are gonna win by fifty this game. They're just
gonna blow them out of here. I would have put
my house, I would have put my life on the
line that the Lakers were gonna win it that point.
It was just pretty pretty good. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
I would love any in any NBA game to be
willing to put my life on the line at fifteen
to seven in the first quarter, But wasn't.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
Just fifteen to seven. I liked the Lakers before the game,
and when they got out early, Oh that out of here.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
This is your king, the people that yell at me,
the guy who is ready to bet his life when
it's fifteen to seven in the first quarter of an
NBA game, this is your god.

Speaker 5 (10:10):
What do you even think about at that point? Top,
I'll risk my arm.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
I just thought it was gonna be a blowout. Oh
my good. It never occurred to me that the Lakers
would lose by more than twenty. I that's just crazy,
that's insane.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
You know.

Speaker 5 (10:25):
I do want to I do want to pat myself
on the back.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Yes, because I put together my watchability index on the
Friday Night show right, and so far it's kind of
living up to it. I had the Clippers Nuggets as
the most watchable series pace Nick Piston's number two. That
was the second best game. But beyond that, all the
other games haven't been good. And I had Lakers Timberwolves three.
But we'll see how things pan out. I will say
this much. I'm I am not against didn't these series

(10:51):
used to be five.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
A long time ago? Though? We O?

Speaker 5 (10:55):
Was it a long time ago? Okay?

Speaker 4 (10:56):
Well, I don't know what a long time ago is.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
What would you consider a long time ago? Seven years
years is a long.

Speaker 5 (11:04):
Time ago to you, and I.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
Don't know that. I don't remember exactly though.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
The first round became best of seven in two thousand
and three, so twenty two years.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
Yeah, that's okay, that was close. That was cool.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
I didn't realize that it had been that long as
a matter of fact, because again I don't want to
knee jerk to everything, but it's just you get two
more games, it adds to the series.

Speaker 5 (11:24):
You gotta win one more.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
I guess there's TV deals in there, but I mean,
do we really need to see the thunderbeat Memphis three
more times? Do we really need C Boston beat Miami
three more times?

Speaker 2 (11:35):
Somebody came up with a good point that if you
win by fifty, series should be over.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
I think that was it.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
Yeah, ball game. They outscored them in the second and
third quarter. See where, And by the way, that's ten
straight wins that Oklahoma City has now had over Memphis.
Memphis hasn't beaten OKC since twenty and twenty two. They
outscored him between the second and third period eighty to
forty three, and I know that's not been like massive
when you consider the final tally was fifty one. I

(12:03):
just think you went out of the second quarter into
halftime it's like, come on, guys, let's get going.

Speaker 5 (12:08):
And it only got worse.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
Like I know, the Grizzlies fired their coach not too
long ago, but still you couldn't come up with anything
more to come out of the locker room than to
get outscored forty four to twenty seven in the third
quarter after getting outscored thirty six to sixteen in the second.

Speaker 5 (12:25):
Come on, man, I.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
Think I would have gotten playing time in that one.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
That was just horrible. It really was embarrassing. I'm like, okay,
first of all, it was fifty one twenty two.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
At one point, I'm like, I'm not gonna watch anymore
of this. I can't take you. I'm not this is
the I had to turn it off.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Well I don't even know what was the early second,
mid second, I go, I'm not.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
Gonna waste my time watching this. I got the you know,
the met game was on, I'm like, the hell with
this game? For crying out loud.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
Don't blame you, I mean, did you feel like you
needed to sit and watch every grueling minute of it.
I don't even think the most I think even diehard
Thunder fans about the quarter were like, yeah, we can
get out of here if we want. You know, we're
only up by sixty right now, so I mean.

Speaker 4 (13:05):
They just it is amazing that this Oklahoma City team
is right up there with some of the great teams
in the history of the NBA if they win it yet,
I mean, they're just I just hear no, but well
you hear the buzz because.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
Well I hear in Oklahoma.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
But you know what if I called them the Oklahoma
City Sooners, No, but half the people wouldn't even know
that that wasn't their name, you know what I mean,
they would say, oh, yeah, Oklahoma City Sooners.

Speaker 5 (13:27):
Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
Do you think that there's just a bunch of people
that don't watch sports that listen to our show.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
Coutter Bumpkins, Man, I just Oklahoma City Sooners team.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
I like them.

Speaker 5 (13:38):
Okay, Well, that wouldn't be an issue.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
I think I think ninety percent of our audience would
know they're the Oklahoma City Thunder and the.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
Other we do on that Yeah, would you know it
was called Oklahoma City Thunder.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Why don't you put that listen. I can't put that
on my feed because everyone would destroy you. But yeah,
with five twenty two to go in the first half,
it was sixty one to twenty six, and by that
point you're kind of like, I think we're good here.
I think we're good here. I think we'll watch something else.
But I mean, I guess we kind of shift our

(14:10):
focus to games two, and you can't open wonder you
know how much trouble are teams like the Bucks and
the Lakers in right now? Did the Pistons need to
get that first game to make it a series against
the Knicks whenever they have the opportunity to do so,
I mean, those are I don't I mean the Clippers
trying to bounce back in Game two.

Speaker 5 (14:28):
We'll see James Harden looks amazing.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
But I feel like we've got some storylines that could
make this much more compelling. If we have a few
things break tomorrow and Tuesday, Well, you know.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
What this is done, and I really believe this. Lakers
still probably come back and beat the Timberwolves. I say probably,
But what it does is it makes it a lot
easier for the Warriors if they can get through the
Rockets because the Lakers are good, that series may have
to go seven, and the Lakers are in big trouble
already losing the first game at home, so I think

(15:00):
it's gonna certainly take its toll on them the next series,
and that's gonna be against the Warriors.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
If the Warriors got by the Rockets.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Well, let's remember this is still game one and the
Warriors Rockets game isn't even in the fourth quarter yet,
so we still got some ways to go, but we'll
keep an eye on it. Pretty one side of those
sixty eight to fifty four, the Warriors have a lead
with two sixteen to go in the third quarter over
the Rockets right now, Okay, anything else in the NBA
Playoffs week.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
The first time, I was so bummed out about my
New York Knicks watching that game. But I know when
it was nine minutes left in the game and we
were down by nine, and.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
You, you know, maybe you should have a live stream
watching me watch the.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
Game, because it's not pretty, Chris, it's not very pretty
at all.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
Well, I've seen you do a live stream of you
playing basketball, and that's not very pretty.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Oh, that's not pretty. Either, but it was just killing me.
I'm like, man, we look like crap. They're hitting everything.
I'm like, when are they going to miss a shot?
And then we go on that twenty one tohing run.
Absolutely remarkable. I mean I I I'm just like, this
is incredible and we win it easy. Had we lost
that game, I think we would have lost the series.
I was so bummed out.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
Quick turnaround tomorrow night, seven thirty Eastern for Piston's next
game two, and then you get the Clippers Nuggets game
two tomorrow night. Lakers don't play their second game until Tuesday.
Same for the Bucks.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Yeah, start playing that game now, you know, every two
or three days. Just start getting that Because the Knicks
Game three is on on Thursday already.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
So it's going to be like a two week first
round already.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
Are you so Game one was Saturday, Game two is Monday? Yeah,
Game three is then Thursday.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Thursday, yes, exactly, and then I assume they'll get one
day rest off Saturday or Sunday the next abbably Saturday.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
We've had so many of those articles that have been
written in the past about like what goes into making
the football schedule right, and you'll have oh they had
eighteen thousand are eighteen million different days. We need to
find somebody who comes up with the NBA playoff schedule
and find and just fire them because it's ridiculous.

Speaker 5 (17:01):
All right.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
When we come back, it is Draft week. It's my
favorite week of the season of what do we know?

How dare you not open tonight's show with Roman numeral
number one being your son Shay getting engaged.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
Congratulations, Yes, thank you very much, Thank you very much.
My son got engaged over the weekend. But it's still
gonna be a long time before they get married because
she's got one more year of like graduate school. Uh,
and then they'll go ahead and probably take six months.

Speaker 4 (18:42):
To get married, maybe a year or so. But yes,
he did. And what what.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Is with this? Because I have a friend of mine
as she's engaged. Yes, And I asked her, I'm like, hey,
what are you guys getting married? She goes, Oh, I
don't know. Don't you have to like have a date
to be engaged. I mean, when when do these rules change?

Speaker 4 (19:02):
I don't know, yeah, exactly, you know, I don't know
the way because you know, I never asked my wife
to marry me.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
She asked me to marry her, right she saw Yeah,
she saw a good thing and couldn't let it get away.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
But now they got engaged.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
With one year left on her she has to finish
her masters and then and then they'll figure it out.
But yes, he got engaged. Very happy for him, and uh,
he's Uh. I put on my Twitter page and she's
very nice and she's gonna have to be a Dolphin fan.

Speaker 4 (19:33):
So what can you do?

Speaker 5 (19:34):
Oh, she's gonna have to be a Dolphin fan.

Speaker 4 (19:36):
Yeah, that's the way it works.

Speaker 5 (19:38):
In mind she doesn't get to choose her team.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
No, no, not at all, not at all.

Speaker 5 (19:42):
When you come to the span your family, you're.

Speaker 4 (19:45):
A Dolphin fan. For crying out loud.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
You're a Dolphin fan. Period into discussion. I love it, man, Well, congratulations,
thank you. Really happy for Shay. He's got to be
pumped up. And you know his Paul Wrights whenever he
gave us. Because Nie has a pre planned tweet every
single Sunday that asks and every single show he fills
in on, he asks where should we start? Yes, and

(20:08):
even Paul had not only Shay's engagement at number three,
but what will Arnie's speech be at his son's wedding?
At number four? Have you thought about it yet?

Speaker 8 (20:19):
No?

Speaker 4 (20:20):
I got a way to plan a date. It's so
long down the road that you have so.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Long, I don't have to worry about that one. Yeah,
I'm just I'm just still try to get through the
summer coming up.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
So yeah, I'm not worried about that right now.

Speaker 3 (20:32):
So nope, no plan right, no plan going forward. But
just they're engaged.

Speaker 4 (20:38):
Yeah, we're all going to the Dominican Republican in about
a month and four weeks, so four of us.

Speaker 5 (20:43):
I guess I'm just too old fashioned.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
I guess I am, because whenever he's like, hey, let's
get well, when are we gonna get married, he's let's
sit down, let's plan a date. They're not doing that yet.
It's just like, no, we plan on sind doown like
after she graduates.

Speaker 4 (20:55):
I I, for all, I can't get married in four weeks.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
I wouldn't have to pay anything. You know, those things
cost a lot of money. I don't want to be
dished out for weddings, and you.

Speaker 5 (21:04):
Know the groom. It's all on the father of the bride.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
Usually yeah, well, you know, sometimes just split it or something.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
I don't want to give anything. I wish they'd just
go down the city hall.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
But you know I won't be.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
What's that called? It's oh gosh, not a runaway marriage.
There is elos.

Speaker 5 (21:21):
Hey, you guys are about this eloping thing.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
My wife would cry crocodile tears if that happened me.
I wouldn't care at all, wouldn't bother me.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
We would care.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
Well, we've got to get to the draft, and I
don't think that it's going to be too fun for
you and talking about what your dolphins are doing right now,
because let's see, what is that Roman numerals ten seven
somewhere like that? Is what is going on with your
dolphins right now? Are you guys in rebuild mode? I
don't think we're in rebuild mode. I am concerned though.

(21:55):
I want to know what's going on with Tyreek Hill.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
I'm worried that if the right person falls to them
at the draft, that maybe they'll take a wide receiver
like a Tamac from Arizona.

Speaker 5 (22:06):
He could be there and then.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
Think about trading Tyreek Hill and go in another direction.
I don't know how.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
I don't know how bad it is right now between
Hill and the Dolphins. I think it's kind of been
smoothed over last what week or two, but there was
rumblings going on actually the last week, but just rumblings.
You know, you're doing the I don't care if I
you know, if they want to move me type things.
And I'm wondering if they're really gonna go in and
be able to get along and they're gonna finish out

(22:34):
one more year, or if the Dolphins want to go
ahead and trade him.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
What do you think of the buzz building that the
Dolphins is going to draft a quarterback.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
I don't think they're going to draft a quarterback.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
I necessarily in the first round, but maybe at least
in the second or third round.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
I'm okay with that. I'm totally fine with that. I
don't know which direction they're gonna go and which goes
to show that there's probably gonna be four three to
four quarterbacks taken in the first round when it's all said, though, you.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
Know what, I'm starting to buy that a little bit too.
Let's get into that. And I guess beyond your Dolphins,
the real story in the draft and that is what's
going on with Shador Sanders in these quarterbacks. But first,
Steve de Seger is in the house. Let's get caught
up on this big game tonight between the Rockets and
the Warriors.

Speaker 5 (23:15):
What's up, Steve.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
Yeah, it's not over yet.

Speaker 6 (23:17):
And by the way, in all the years that the
head coach of the Golden State Warriors has been Steve.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
Kerr, not a friend of the show. By the way,
wow wow, in.

Speaker 6 (23:27):
All the years he's been Golden State coach, when the
Warriors are ahead in a playoff game by at least
twenty points, like tonight they're forty five and one. They
were up twenty three tonight and yet Houston with a
run late third quarter, and currently the lead for the
Warriors is seventy two sixty four at Houston with nine
and a half minutes to go. Steph Curry with twenty

(23:47):
eight points Houston from three point range three for twenty
two as a team. This is the fourth of the
NBA playoff openers for the Sunday schedule.

Speaker 4 (23:56):
Already, we had Cleveland.

Speaker 6 (23:57):
Beat Miami one twenty one to one hundred thirty points
for Donovan Mitchell, and we had at Boston a Celtics
win over Orlando one oh three eighty six. The Celtics
are only up by one early in the third quarter
and Oklahoma City pounded Memphis to death one thirty one
to eighty. In fact, there was that twenty to nothing
run in the second quarter for OKC and the home

(24:19):
team led early in the third eighty to thirty six.
The NBA Award finalists include for MVP Oklahoma City, Shay Giljes,
Alexander from Denver, Nicola Jokic from Milwaukee, Jannisan Tenecumpo. The
NHL Playoffs has only game at Vegas tonight. It is
Minnesota tied one to one against the Golden Knights with

(24:40):
about eight and a half minutes to go in the
second period. As for the game at Toronto tonight, Maple
Leafs a six to two winner over Ottawa. Carolina beat
New Jersey four to one. Some of the Stanley Cup
first round series start on Monday, and the Florida at
Tampa Bay game one is Tuesday. US women's hockey won
the World Championships today and the Czech Rep Public, beating

(25:01):
Canada in overtime four to three. Justin Thomas is the
golf winner in a playoff. NASCAR's Cup Series was off
for Easter. Former Tennessee Valls quarterback Nico Iamalayava did announce
his transfer to UCLA. He's from nearby Long Beach, California. Tonight,
in Major League Baseball, San Diego held off Houston three
to two. Fernando tatist Junior a solo homer in the seventh,

(25:23):
his eighth home run. Already, the Padres have a record
of sixteen and six. The Dodgers are up to sixteen
and seven after a one nothing victory at Texas. Dodger
starter Tyler Glassnow left in the fifth inning today with
leg cramps, but he was fine after the game. In fact,
there was a Padre injury tonight. Luisa Rise was carted
off after an early collision at first base, but he

(25:44):
was in the clubhouse after the game. Split doubleheader at
Colorado tonight, Rockies lost the opener three to two to Washington,
but Colorado took the nightcap three run a three to one,
which means they've ended an eight game losing streak until
this win. Tonight, Colorado's record was three and seventeen this year.
Out out, I got your first Milwaukee fourteen to one

(26:07):
over the A's.

Speaker 4 (26:08):
We're like two pieces of pod seg.

Speaker 6 (26:10):
Yeah, exactly fifty year old and a seventy year old.
Cincinnati was a twenty four to two winner at Baltimore
and updating Houston now even closer seventy two to sixty
eight Golden State under nine minutes left back to you.

Speaker 5 (26:24):
This is the Arnie Span. You're special right here. You
call this game.

Speaker 6 (26:28):
Ov Er, Oh oh yeah, yeah, I did call it
like Billy Packer that one March Madness Final. Oh, that's classic,
Like North Carolina twenty point lead early.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
Like, oh, this one is over, this one is over.
And sure enough they came back and lost the game.
You know how didn't work much longer after that? Or no,
he didn't quite go that far. Not not you Warnie.
We're talking about Billy Packer, all right.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
I didn't even know if I was gonna work this week,
and I never got the schedule.

Speaker 5 (26:54):
You didn't get the schedule.

Speaker 3 (26:55):
No, But you think they just would magically not include
you on it and you'd be done?

Speaker 4 (27:00):
I mean that's yeah, they just don't send you the
schedule and that's it. You're done.

Speaker 5 (27:04):
That's how it is.

Speaker 4 (27:05):
That's how it ends around here.

Speaker 5 (27:06):
I had no idea.

Speaker 4 (27:07):
I thought it ends well, there's no lock to change
because he does. Actually, cos that's.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
True, that would be funny.

Speaker 4 (27:15):
Yes I can, Oh you can.

Speaker 3 (27:17):

Shave Club. Will should Or Sanders be a giant? I say,

(28:13):
what do you say?

Speaker 2 (28:14):
I say, no, he's not going to be a giant. Now,
of course, regard if somebody trades up, that's a whole
nother story, but he's not going to be a giant.
He is the favorite to go with the number nine pick.
I believe that's the Saints. Matter of fact, you want
to take a guess on who the two favorites are
to go with the number nine pick.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
Well, I don't think shud Or Sanders is going to
the Saints. I don't think he's going. I think if
it's if it's anyone at nine, it's going to be
Jackson Dart.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
He's the second favorite, which is remarkable. A guy who
we didn't even think was going to be a first
round pick what a month or two ago, has now
worked up to maybe a top ten pick. Why do
you say, not shod Sanders number nine, but Jackson Dart
number nine.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
Well, a couple of reasons. Number one, I've I think
if you just look at Kellen Moore and the kind
of quarterbacks that he's had success with, they more mirror
Jackson Dart's skill set and than should Or Sanders, Dak Prescott,
And who is the big who's the big comparison right
now for Jackson Dart, who are people comparing him to?

(29:16):
It's Jalen Hurts. He throws better than Jalen. Jalen runs
a little better than he does. And you kind of
get that mesh in something that I think Kellen Moore
could work with. And I think they wanted to try
to make it work with Derek Carr. I don't know
what's going on there, but I think Jackson Dart would
be the guy. But I don't think they're gonna draft
the quarterback either at nine. I don't know why. I

(29:38):
just is that what the odds are saying.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Yeah, the odds have the quarterbacks going one to two,
should Sanders plus two two fifteen, Jackson Dart plus six hundred,
so two to one and six to one, And I
believe it's gonna be should or Sanders. You think Sanders
is gonna drop then no, I.

Speaker 5 (29:57):
Still think Sanders is probably gonna go third.

Speaker 4 (30:00):
Oh, you think he's gonna go to the Giants.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
Yeah, I think he's gonna go to the Giants, I think,
or the Browns or the Browns.

Speaker 5 (30:06):
The Browns are saying nothing.

Speaker 3 (30:09):
Andrew Berry makes a comment about Travis Hunter and everyone
loses their mind. But I think I think Hunter, Sanders,
or Carter could all go at number two. And then
I think Hunter, Sanders or Carter could all go at
number three.

Speaker 4 (30:21):
I mean, I have Hunter.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
I think Hunter was gonna be the number two pick,
which means I thought Cleveland was gonna take Carter. But
I wouldn't be surprised if they did take a Sanders.
I agree with you there, I would not be shocked
about it.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
Well, you just said you think he's gonna go number two,
that Travis Hunter is going to go number two.

Speaker 5 (30:39):
Yeah, the Browns pick.

Speaker 4 (30:40):
Yeah. Oh, I'm sorry, I got a mixed up. I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
I wouldn't be surprised if they took Shadeur Sanders Cleveland,
I'm talking about yeah, with that with their first pick.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
Listen, I don't know what's going on. And it's funny
because and I subscribe. I've been listening a lot to
Todd McShay the old ESPN guy. He's got his own podcast.
It's really good. And he said the more he talks
to people, the more they keep saying, don't count out
Shador to the Giants now again, I's what's real and
what isn't, right, Arnie, what's lying and what isn't. I

(31:10):
don't know why the Giants would be pushing that, because
nobody's really scratching and claw to try to move up
to three anyway, right, I don't see I mean, if
you heard any buzz about someone trying to get up
to get one of these quarterbacks.

Speaker 4 (31:22):
I don't think there's gonna be. You know, usually we
hear all kinds of rumors. At this there's none. We've
not heard what maybe slight ones.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
I can't think of any off the top of my head,
but not nearly as many as we've heard over the
last couple of years.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
I just I think it's the most fascinating story right now.
And it's the quarterback. So you said, cam Moore slam
dunk one to the Titans. We'll see what happens with Sanders.
You're confident at least in a quarterback at nine, so
if you're just seeing one at one and one at
nine because you don't buy my Giants taking Shadoor Sanders.
Where are the other two quarterbacks going here?

Speaker 2 (31:58):
That's a good that's a good question. And were they
going to drop? And I don't think they're going to
if we're just looking at the draft the way it
is right now, I don't think they're going to drop
that far. I think somebody will move up, like a
Pittsburgh or one of those teams that wants a quarterback
and to start the panic now like, oh my goodness,
we didn't think he'd still be here. Let's trade up

(32:19):
and get him. And I think that could be Pittsburgh
or a team like that.

Speaker 3 (32:22):
I wonder where that panic is because Pittsburgh sitting at
twenty one right now.

Speaker 4 (32:27):
So let's say, you know, let me just correct myself.
I don't mean panic. I mean like, oh my goodness,
I can't believe he's still there because we thought he
was going to go to the top ten all of
a sudden. Dr Sanders is, you know, at like twelve thirteen,
and maybe they want to trade up and going to
get him at that point.

Speaker 5 (32:44):
So where would that panic beak?

Speaker 3 (32:45):
Just out of cause I'm with you, because Dallas could
have a shot to draft Shadoor Sanders at twelve, but
they're also pretty well invested in Dak Prescott, right exactly,
all right, just just real quick, I know we're up
against it Colts at four. Team probably not gonna take
a quarterback, right right? We know the Falcons aren't Cardinals,
aren't Bengals, aren't Seahawks, aren't Tampa Bay Buccaneers, aren't Broncos aren't. No,

(33:11):
So who do you have to jump in front of
if you're sitting there at twenty one and you're the Steelers.

Speaker 5 (33:15):
And he drops to like eleven or twelve.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
None of the current teams you just read, But that
doesn't mean there's not another team that says, hey, we're
gonna move up to number fourteen, or we're gonna move
up to number fifteen and take that quarterback. Next thing,
you know, Pittsburgh is six picks behind them.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
But who's that that you're seeing down here that you
think would do that? That's my question, Like, who picks
after the Steelers that you think would want to jump
in front of them all the way up to sixteen?
What the Rams? The Rams are going to go up
ten spots and give up a first round pick next year.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
Or they could you know, jump into the first round
in the low first round if he's still there because
they have a second round pick and he's not gonna last.
But that's also tough to do that.

Speaker 5 (33:58):
But wait, we're talking about this Steelers at twenty one
right now.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
Yeah, the Steelers are twenty one.

Speaker 5 (34:02):
Right, so you keep saying that they're gonna maybe need
to jump up.

Speaker 4 (34:06):
But I thought they yet worried about, right. I guess
none that are behind them right now.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
I guess they really not worried about somebody jumping up
into that top twenty to go ahead and steal one,
which is probably right there, so.

Speaker 4 (34:19):
Maybe they wouldn't have to jump up. Maybe they could
still get them a number twenty one. Yeah, I just
just sit there.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
You know, we haven't had you know the last time
a team traded back into the first round to get
a quarterback that didn't have a first well had either
drafted earlier in the first round or didn't take him
with their first first round pick. Do you know the
last team that did that? No, the Ravens in twenty
eighteen worked out pretty good, right because it was Lamar
Jackson and they moved up to what was thirty second

(34:46):
the last pick in the first round was a trade
with the Eagles. Of all teams before that, it was
twenty fourteen when the Vikings did it. I guess my
point is it's just not something that we see very often.
Right in you know, fifteen years, we've only seen a
team t trade back into the first round and get
a quarterback twice, and it was Teddy Bridgewater and Lamar Jackson.
So I don't know, because I'm with you, I think

(35:07):
this could be a year where we see a team
that they don't want to wait till the second round,
and maybe they like this Tyler shut guy who I
don't get it. Uh, maybe it's Jalen Milroe Arnie. Maybe
if Jackson daughter should or Sanders fall, then boom. You
might see a team like the Raiders who are willing
to trade back into the first round and get that
quarterback there, or the Browns even if they pass on
them at two.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
The Browns, can you imagine if they could say we'll
trade down and still be able to get the guy
that we want, see, I could They're in a position
where they could do it.

Speaker 4 (35:38):
And maybe the Giants could do it if they didn't
want Shadora Sanders, or if they did want shador Sanders,
they get trade down and maybe you hope that'll still
be there in like twelve or thirteen.

Speaker 5 (35:49):
Now you guys have draft takes. We see him, let's
get your reaction.

Speaker 3 (35:52):
Next, it's Arnie in Plank Company live from the tyrack
dot Com Studios on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
You don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio, all.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
Right, Welcome back into Arnie and playing care on Fox
Sports Radio. With this reminder to check out the Fox
Sports YouTube channel a ton of great videos from many
of our shows. To search Fox Sports Radio on YouTube
and you'll see a whole bunch of video highlights from
our shows. And be sure to subscribe so you always
have instant access to our Fox Sports Radio videos on YouTube.

(36:24):
We gotta get on YouTube. I do like the idea,
by the way, of you having a live feed of
you watching the games. I think that's a million dollar idea.

Speaker 4 (36:32):
That's a little scary though, you know what. I just
I do things and say things that's probably not suitable
for on air stuff.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
Well, it's the it's YouTube, man. Flick the Wild Wild
West out date and say do whatever you want A
couple of tweets to wrap up our number one. No
Todd Furman tonight you okay with that?

Speaker 4 (36:52):
Yeah, he's at the hockey game tonight.

Speaker 5 (36:54):
You allowed him to have a night off. You gave
him a night off.

Speaker 4 (36:57):
Well can you do you know you wanted to go
watch his his team play and we'll see how they do.

Speaker 3 (37:03):
Colin writes, I can't see how the Giants owner John
Marrow allows drafting should or Sanders. He re signed Daniel
Jones to that bad contract, which makes him gun shy.
They signed Williams and Winston. I think he'll be the
one that makes the call. We'll play it safe, did
and draft for other needs.

Speaker 4 (37:19):
I agree.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
I don't think he would have signed Williams and Winston
if he was gonna go ahead and draft should Ar Sanders.
I think he would have just maybe taken one veteran
and used them as maybe a starter, maybe as a mentor,
and taken Sanders and he would have been the backup.
I mean, you could still do it and cut one
of them. I'm guessing, but I agree there. I think
if they were gonna do it, they wouldn't decide to
do veteran quarterbacks.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
So you feel good about that with Jamis Winston and
Russell Wilson.

Speaker 4 (37:46):
No, I don't feel good about it.

Speaker 3 (37:47):
I'm just saying, then, why are we sitting here saying, oh, yeah,
they went did he? I mean, what was the deal
for Jameis Winston? Like, literally, he signed a three million
dollar contract?

Speaker 5 (37:56):
He signed a.

Speaker 4 (37:57):
Deal that's like eleven dollars an hour.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
Right, exactly most backup guys would and Russell Wilson sign
an eleven million dollar deal, which again is in the
In the world of quarterbacks, Aaron Rodgers is patting himself
on the back talking about how he'd he'd I'd play
for ten.

Speaker 5 (38:13):
Million, which is still funny.

Speaker 4 (38:14):
Start last week.

Speaker 3 (38:16):
So I hear what you're saying. You guys are probably right.
I'm just not ready to count out LJ. The Patriots,
with their off season moves, are a bigger threat to
Buffalo than Miami. Miami's not improved this offseason and needed to.
The NFL Draft will be huge for both the Patriots
and Miami. You worried about the Patriots catching up to you.

Speaker 2 (38:35):
No, I'm not worried about that. I think we have
a good team and I think they put it all
into this year. Remember I was all in last year.
I'm usually a year ahead of everybody else, so I
feel good. I think this is going to be their year,
as long as two as stays healthy. I'm worried about
Tyreek Hill in his mind.

Speaker 4 (38:51):
Now you know where he's out mentally and what's gonna
happen when we got to get him that We've got
to find to get him the ball more. Our offense
was so stagnant. Last year was horrible, mister nobody.

Speaker 3 (39:01):
I truly don't get the obsession with the draft because
there are only scattered stories but not consistent one of
people being drafted and making a world changing impact as
a rookie.

Speaker 5 (39:11):
I care about my team on the field.

Speaker 3 (39:13):
Well, mister nobody, you must have a team that's good,
because for those of us in advance of teams that suck,
this is our favorite time of the year.

Speaker 4 (39:20):
You love this stuff. I love your holiday.

Speaker 3 (39:22):
Yeah, you know, some people love soccer, some people love
the NBA. I love draft season, yeah, I really do.

Speaker 5 (39:28):
Now.

Speaker 3 (39:29):
This year has been hard because I feel like there's
a lot of just frauds out there. You know, people
that are pedaling information don't know what they're talking about,
or are are kind of taking guesses on things, and
that makes it hard.

Speaker 4 (39:42):
No, the whole thing's a big guess. It is.

Speaker 3 (39:44):
Well, I mean, what do we find out that the
hit percentage is like twenty percent and that's a good
general manager? I mean, imagine hitting on twenty percent of
your draft picks and people.

Speaker 4 (39:53):
How many looks good? How many the mock drafts. What's
a good percentage for people doing mock drafts.

Speaker 3 (39:58):
I think it's like thirty five percent. Yeah, I mean,
I don't think it's much. It's maybe, yeah, I mean,
it's just it's it's a hard thing to figure out
and even harder to decide how a player is going
to impact you.

Speaker 5 (40:10):
But I'm with you. I hear you. I don't disagree,
mister nobody.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
It's a bunch of crap, but I can't get enough
of it, and I think being a huge college fan
ads to it.

Speaker 4 (40:19):
Right.

Speaker 5 (40:19):
I want to see how these guys translate to the
next level.

Speaker 3 (40:21):
We got more draft talk coming up, and Arnie added
an extra roman numeral. Is it relevant to the show tonight?
We'll dive into it next right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.

Speaker 3 (40:34):

Speaker 2 (40:49):
Why did you come out to LA in July and
meet me out there?

Speaker 5 (40:53):
What are you doing in July?

Speaker 4 (40:54):
I'm going out to La right, but just for the
hell of it, or it's been a long time since
I've been to La one too. It's a friend's sixtieth
birthday party, so I'm gonna go to that also, and uh, you.

Speaker 2 (41:08):
Know, it's been a long time since I've yelled at
all the producers and stuff.

Speaker 3 (41:11):
So you mean, if you get to acknowledge exactly exactly,
see Arnie, you and Beth live what they call the
empty nesters life. Apparently, you guys have a lot of
money where you can just go to like where you
going to the Dominican Republic?

Speaker 4 (41:24):
Yes, Huerto Rico in four weeks, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (41:26):
Four weeks right.

Speaker 3 (41:28):
I am not allowed to leave this house unless I'm
paid for it, So you have to really all the
time on my Come on, dude, I mean, are you
kidding me? I'm doing one to four am Friday night.
For goodness sakes, I just can't be a jet setter
like you are.

Speaker 4 (41:40):
Right now, I'm saving money on the hotel by saying
it to Sager.

Speaker 5 (41:44):
Well, that's the best way to do it. That's the
best way to do it. Let me just pose this.

Speaker 3 (41:49):
I have a theory on the draft, and I guess
maybe it's a theory on the NFL season. And I'll
pose it to you, I Desager, Mary. You guys feel
free to jump in on this. This isn't an exclusive conversation.

Speaker 5 (42:01):
Between just the two of us.

Speaker 3 (42:04):
I still feel like something big is about to happen
in the NFL, involving the draft or the draft order
or a major player being moved. And I haven't quite
put my finger on I've got three possibilities, but I
don't even know if they would be considered in that realm.

Speaker 4 (42:21):
Any sort of NFL story or just draft related.

Speaker 3 (42:24):
Its just something that would shake the NFL off season up, right,
Remember five days? So I know, I know, but we
got to remember it was.

Speaker 6 (42:33):
So if Aaron Rodgers officially retires, would that qualify as
you know.

Speaker 3 (42:37):
That might if he officially retires if he sides with
the Steelers. It's kind of like ment I expected that.

Speaker 4 (42:42):
If he does it, wouldn't he do it on draft
night to take all.

Speaker 3 (42:44):
The See That's what I was thinking of. I mean,
that's the same thing that happened with him what three
years ago? I mean, wasn't that tiring? Wasn't that the
mont Really? I mean that sounded like a dude that
didn't really care too much about football. But again, when
is he ever?

Speaker 2 (43:00):
Let me tell you something, if that coach would have
talked to me like that, there would have been fist thrown.

Speaker 4 (43:04):
I promise you that cap. I am not kidding. Man.
I thank you Mary. That guy is so damn rude.
If I would have spent my money to fly out
there for a fifteen minute interview just so he could
tell me that he doesn't want me back, there'd be
serious problems between me and him, no doubt.

Speaker 3 (43:24):
If someone sat down and they look and by the way, Aaron,
what Arnie's talking about is what Aaron Rodgers said happened
whenever he made his trip out to New York. Yeah,
and he was pretty I thought he was pretty blind
about his frustration in the way that played out where
he basically said, Hey, they asked me if I wanted

(43:45):
to play, and then the next thing, you know, he's
telling me that he doesn't want me around.

Speaker 4 (43:49):
Yeah, I mean, that's.

Speaker 3 (43:51):
Not a I don't think Jets fans are like, how
dare you? I don't think they care because I know
they're all bent about the way.

Speaker 2 (43:57):
That's true, but that's not the way. If you want
to do that, just tell him over the telephone and
move on. You don't have to make this where you
fly him out here and then he's like Arnie.

Speaker 7 (44:05):
He would have been pissed if they'd done that, right,
he was gonna be mad either way.

Speaker 5 (44:10):
Yeah, he would have saved.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
He would have saved fifty thousand dollars paid quarterback in
NFL history.

Speaker 4 (44:17):
I think he can pay to fly across the country.

Speaker 6 (44:19):
He actually pays for his own vacations, aren't He's fills?

Speaker 2 (44:24):
Well, you gotta pay for a fight, you know. I've
been watching these TikTok videos of fighting private.

Speaker 4 (44:29):
They're very expensive.

Speaker 7 (44:30):
Man, if they if they called him, if they chose
to call him, he would have got on McAfee and
been mad that they didn't have the decency to tell
him face to face.

Speaker 4 (44:39):
No, I believe me. If you're if you're not going
to be around, you'd rather be told over the telephone anyway,
there's no reason for him the fight.

Speaker 2 (44:47):
And then they gave him attitude about it too. That
that's what cracked me up up about it, where it's
like Aaron Glenn's quote unquote you don't know me?

Speaker 5 (44:55):
You know what?

Speaker 4 (44:56):
How does that come up? You don't know me? Oh?

Speaker 2 (44:58):
But that that's like threatening words when you say stuff
like that you don't know me. No, I don't know you.
I guess that's why I'm here. But what kind of
attitude is that?

Speaker 4 (45:07):
I mean it?

Speaker 7 (45:07):
If it comes off as weird, does does it not
make you less likely to believe rogers? Like if that's
the only telling of the story we've heard, and to
you that sounds a little weird in a way to
treat people, right me, It's not like, oh yeah, then
you know Aaron Glenn, I'm already out on him.

Speaker 5 (45:23):
As you know.

Speaker 4 (45:24):
I don't think he's lying if that's what you're asking me.
If you think he's lying, he's embellishing.

Speaker 5 (45:28):
Well, here's here's what he said.

Speaker 3 (45:29):
This is this is what Arnie is referring to from
the Pat McAfee show this week.

Speaker 5 (45:34):
Whatever Aaron.

Speaker 3 (45:35):
When Aaron Rodgers was asked about his last meeting with
the Jets.

Speaker 9 (45:38):
I figured that when I flew across country on my
own dime, that there was going to be a conversation.
And twenty seconds in he goes, I mean literally, I'm
talking to the GM about something and he leans to
the edge of his sheet and goes, should you want
to play football? I was like, yeah, I'm interested, and
he said we're going a different direction in quarterback. And
I was kind of shocked. Now, not because I didn't

(46:00):
think that was a possibility. Listen, of course they want
to move on. That's totally fine, but shocked because I
just flew across the country.

Speaker 4 (46:07):
You could have told me.

Speaker 1 (46:08):
This on the phone.

Speaker 9 (46:08):
So I said, huh, and he goes, we just want
to know how you want it released the messaging and
I said why And then he said, I don't want
to be up in front of the room saying something
and have guys looking.

Speaker 4 (46:21):
Back at you.

Speaker 1 (46:22):
Interesting, And I said, what does that even mean?

Speaker 9 (46:25):
Are you assuming that I would be in the back
of the room during the team meeting undermining what you're saying,
I said, you don't know me, and he said you
don't know me, and then I said, exactly, which is
why I flew across the country to have a face
to face meeting with you to talk about my experience
with the Jets. What I thought was going to be
a couple hour meeting turned into like a fifteen minute

(46:47):
meeting and I walked out.

Speaker 4 (46:48):
Of there that months ago. By the way, said meeting.

Speaker 2 (46:53):
I don't even understand what that means when he said
he's going to be in the back of the room.
Back of the room, what I don't even understand that
part of it.

Speaker 6 (47:00):
I would happen to be at the at the offices
cleaning out his stuff, And.

Speaker 2 (47:07):
What are you think that it makes no sense whatsoever
when when they're bringing that up, I didn't quite understand
that part.

Speaker 3 (47:13):
Well, okay, so then if it, let's just table Aaron
Rodgers for a moment, because I think we all have
a take on this and its many No, I'm obsessed
with this story.

Speaker 5 (47:22):
I don't even know if it's Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 3 (47:23):
Arn't he Maybe it is, but I just I feel
like something big is brewing, and it's it's almost like
it's too quiet around rock Party, right, And I don't
know if I'm just maybe trying to witch something into
existence here. It's almost it's almost like it's been too
quiet around Dallas. But I think what I've come to realize,
and maybe the p Ones in our great affiliate sports

(47:47):
Radio thirteen ten the ticket in Dallas might agree, Dallas
has kind of become boring. You know, their their head
coaching hire was boring. Their moves have been boring. So
maybe I'm just waiting for Jerry to do something that's
going to be a big splash, but that really hasn't
been him over the last fifteen years.

Speaker 4 (48:03):
Let me ask you a question.

Speaker 2 (48:04):
If Jerry wanted to do a big splash, what's a
big splash for Dallas. Yeah, because it's not getting a
quarterback since they're pretty invested in the.

Speaker 5 (48:13):
DA announcing they're moving on from Dak like in other words.

Speaker 4 (48:17):
Sound even though they can do that.

Speaker 5 (48:18):
But I don't either.

Speaker 3 (48:19):
But I'm just something or that we're going in a
different direction at receiver, which would be insane.

Speaker 4 (48:25):
Are moving on though actually r not insane.

Speaker 2 (48:28):
That's the I thought maybe they were gonna take t
mac McMillan out of Arizona the number twelve pick that
they have to add another wide receiver.

Speaker 4 (48:36):
I think that's a very lot they could pick for that.

Speaker 3 (48:38):
I absolutely could, but I don't think that would be
moving on from CD Lamb like, for instance, when they.

Speaker 4 (48:44):
Know no, not at all.

Speaker 6 (48:44):
I agree with you that Micah Parsons was there at
the voluntary right. New Orleans and Dallas each started their
voluntary off season workout programs this past week.

Speaker 3 (48:53):
I don't think it has anything to do with the
Derek Carr or the kirkcuse me situation.

Speaker 2 (48:57):
Jerry's sitting back going, hey, I don't need the say fire.
Jerry like to say and fire Nico. We're not trading Michaeh.

Speaker 4 (49:04):
Parson. Not gonna happen.

Speaker 6 (49:05):
Well, right there, you just touched on the one thing
that would be shocking news that would actually benefit the
Dallas Cowboys. It's that Jerry is stepping aside as gentleman.

Speaker 4 (49:15):
Right exactly.

Speaker 2 (49:18):
Do you guys think that Jerry he sees the backlasher
what happened with the Mavericks and he just said, you know.

Speaker 4 (49:23):
What, We're not traded Micah. That's exactly what's gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (49:27):
They're gonna watch my Mayad out of silver bladder or
does he say I don't give it?

Speaker 4 (49:32):
Damn the hell with them.

Speaker 6 (49:33):
You know, it's a little different because basketball star is
the I know.

Speaker 4 (49:37):
I know, but that's about as close as the analogy
I can give you there, my fan.

Speaker 5 (49:41):
That's honestly.

Speaker 3 (49:42):
Honestly, I mean, I don't know if there's any right
anyone right now that the Dallas Cowboy fans are holding
on like Maverick fans did Luca.

Speaker 2 (49:51):
No, But I the only way that Cowboys would want
to make a splash and trade up is if Travis
Hunter was being dangled and they were he wasn't taking
at number two.

Speaker 4 (50:00):
I can see them wanting somebody like him. Then I
can see them going after them.

Speaker 3 (50:03):
But I guess I guess, more than anything else, Arnie,
that I think I'm just hoping for a little bit
more juice, right, I think, maybe just there's this part
of me that's just hoping for something a little bit
crazy to happen, right, because I guess more than anything else,
it has been relatively quiet over the last few weeks,
like too.

Speaker 5 (50:23):
Quiet for me.

Speaker 6 (50:24):
Maybe the only crazy thing that actually happens come Thursday
night is Ashton Genty, the Boysey State running back, is
taken quote too soon, and shoud Or Sanders, Colorado quarterback,
is taken quote too late.

Speaker 4 (50:37):
Yeah, he falls flank.

Speaker 7 (50:39):
How about Pete saying be careful when they when they mentioned, yes, gee,
there's another thing, right.

Speaker 4 (50:44):
But I didn't hear that. I'm sorry, go ahead, Rader.

Speaker 3 (50:45):
And there was a press conference with the Raiders this
week and John Spytech, the general manager, and Pete Carroll
were asked a specific question about Ashton Genty and.

Speaker 5 (50:57):
When they did.

Speaker 3 (50:58):
When he started to answer the question because it was
a Spytech, uh, Pete Carroll leaned over and said, be
careful whenever. And I again, I think Pete Carroll's kind
of smart employee.

Speaker 4 (51:10):
He said this, you're saying.

Speaker 5 (51:12):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (51:13):
So it's like, I don't I don't necessarily know what
that was supposed to mean or.

Speaker 4 (51:17):
Posturing make people maybe they're taking Genty.

Speaker 5 (51:19):
Maybe I thought maybe.

Speaker 4 (51:22):
They weren't gonna take genty. You all along, to be honest,
I mean, that.

Speaker 3 (51:24):
Was just like a little too obvious, you know, yeah,
exactly say be careful, may be careful.

Speaker 2 (51:30):
How many people would you actually want to trade up
in this draft for? If it wasn't for Genty or
should Do or Sanders or cam Ward or a Hunter.
I think those would be the only four. Well, that's
what wouldn't be fair to say, was you'd want to
trade up to get a Jackson Dart if you dropped
to the second.

Speaker 4 (51:45):
Round or something. Maybe do you even see the Titans?

Speaker 6 (51:48):
I mean, pretend that someone actually wants to trade up
to take quote their quarterback, cam Ward not going to
the Titans?

Speaker 4 (51:55):
Can you say that at this point?

Speaker 3 (51:57):
I don't know, maybe not. It seems like that's pretty set.
Here's the moment that Ian was talking about Arnie.

Speaker 4 (52:02):
It's kind of pretty sure. Everybody went together dock drafts.
What do you think about him in particular? Careful, so
you be careful.

Speaker 3 (52:14):
But see he didn't. He didn't like turn away from
the microphone. He kind of like turned right to it
before he said it.

Speaker 6 (52:20):
He sound a golf announcer or that announcer that you
hear on password the passwords word.

Speaker 2 (52:29):
Can I fill in the blake? He was saying, please
be be careful, because don't say we don't like him.

Speaker 4 (52:34):
Was we're not going to take him anyway. We want
somebody to trade for him. That's what he really meant,
I think is what he wanted.

Speaker 5 (52:40):
I think there's a chance he could go I don't
know why this is crazy.

Speaker 3 (52:44):
I was talking to Eric Adam yesterday, who is the
lead draft rider for NFL dot Com, and I think
in his final mock, guys, he's gonna have genty going
five to the Jaguars.

Speaker 5 (52:54):
And I don't I know.

Speaker 3 (52:55):
They got Travis Aten, who they got with the final
pick in the first round a couple of years years ago.

Speaker 4 (53:01):
He's been a bus from the beginning in right.

Speaker 3 (53:04):
But I don't know it is Travis. There's too many
Atens out there. There's Travis at and there's Travati.

Speaker 6 (53:10):
There are so many top ten teams that could use
a running back in gent which is why you know,
really he should go to Dallas. But the Dallas Cowboys
don't have a top ten selection.

Speaker 4 (53:22):
Well, they have a number twelve if they're not that
far from it, though, but there are.

Speaker 6 (53:25):
So many teams in front of them that could use
a running back though.

Speaker 3 (53:28):
So I think what I'm taking from you, guys is
the same thing that I've kind of battled here. It's
almost like I'm trying to create something where there might
not be a massive move. But just in our conversations here,
there's a hell of a lot of interesting scenarios right
now in this first round.

Speaker 2 (53:45):
If you want to give the most interesting scenario the
only way, there's really only one team that can do
what everybody wants to see them do. But it's never
going to happen, and that's put Shador Sanders on the
same team as Travis Hunter wants that.

Speaker 4 (54:00):
You know that, right.

Speaker 5 (54:03):
I'll give you credit. You're the first person I've ever
heard bring this up.

Speaker 3 (54:07):
Really, I didn't know that it was like this really
big thing that people were pushing for.

Speaker 4 (54:12):
Drafting the dead also, you'd.

Speaker 3 (54:16):
There, but the Browns of the Giants would be the
two teams that could do it, right.

Speaker 4 (54:21):
No, that's not who I was thinking of. I was
thinking of the Dallas Cowboys. How did they get too? Well,
I'll tell you. I'll tell you why.

Speaker 2 (54:30):
One they can trade up a little bit in case
one of them drops, and two they can easily get
back into the first round if they want to trade Micah.
That's certainly worth the first round pick, is it not.
I don't know about the other teams. If they have
somebody that could put them back, So they could take
two picks that high, but the Cowboys do And what
do you think Michah Parisans would bring in if you

(54:51):
wanted to make a trade for him. I'm sure somebody
would love to give up that early pick just to
go and have him.

Speaker 5 (54:56):
So let me just this is this would be something.

Speaker 2 (55:00):
And I mean, I know that's so far fetched, it's
not even but if you ever were gonna do it,
if there was one team that would want to have
a package deal, you know it would be Jerry to
bring him to the Cowboys because of the whole Dion
thing and Dion helping me work this thing out.

Speaker 4 (55:14):
But I don't know if it's possible though.

Speaker 2 (55:15):
But the other way team I could think of that
has a big name that been bring up in trade rumors,
that can get them right back up there so they
could have two picks.

Speaker 6 (55:23):
Why would it acquire Parsons and then have to go
through the contract negotiation, right, you have.

Speaker 5 (55:29):
To have it done.

Speaker 3 (55:30):
It would get out right right, you have a deal
with him, you do. That's on that CBS Sports, CBS
Sports Just Real Quick. Jeff Kerb wrote an article a
handful of players who could impact the first round of
the NFL Draft via trade. He mentioned Stray Hendrick seeing
here the Bengals edge rusher Brandon ayuk I just signed

(55:52):
a long term deal, but apparently that's been doomed from
the Star. George Penkins is on this list, Kirk Cousins,
obviously Dallas go Uh Dallas, and Jay R Alexander and
then of course here is the one the only Mike Parsons,
who he says the Cowboys could receive a king's ransom
if they decided to trade Parsons, changing the entire complexity

(56:13):
of the draft with what they would receive and for
whatever team Parson lands on trading Parsons couldn't now it's
multiple first round picks, including this years.

Speaker 4 (56:26):
Yeah, well, if they get multiple first round selections, then
they're the only team I know that can somehow pull
off getting Sanders a hunter.

Speaker 2 (56:34):
Would they want to do that and package all that together?
I don't know, But they're the only team that.

Speaker 3 (56:40):
Can keep bringing it up. So I mean, obviously you
think there's something to it or it's a big deal.

Speaker 4 (56:45):
I think I think Jerry would like to do it.
I think it would give give the Cowboys a punch.
I think it put bring them back to relevancy. I
think people would be talking about him again. I think
all the eyes would be on them again, just like
they were on the Colorado. I think they went thirteen
and twelve.

Speaker 5 (57:00):
I think I look at him in the big twelve.

Speaker 2 (57:03):
Colorado's like the college of the Dallas Cowboys thirteen to twelve.
Yet we couldn't get enough of Colorado. Same thing with
the Cowboys. Just just get dian or just get them?
Uh Shouldure and Travis Hunter and Jerry will market them.
He doesn't care if they win a Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (57:23):
I think you're doubting Jerry's desire to actually win.

Speaker 5 (57:26):
I don't think he's just But then why wouldn't he hire.

Speaker 4 (57:28):
Yeah, I am not to doubting. I am doubting his
desire to win for somebody at that age, not pulling
out all the stops to put a better team on
the field. Yeah, I'm really doubting it. I think he just.

Speaker 3 (57:40):
Wants if your theory here and that it's just it's
a big marketing point Dallas. Right, then why wouldn't he
have hired coach Prime? Why wouldn't he have hired Neon Sanders.

Speaker 4 (57:50):
I still think that's a possibility, just just not the
right time right now, you know what I mean. It's
all timing and let's see how things go in the draft.
Let's see how that out. Then you could talk about
hiring Dion.

Speaker 5 (58:03):
Well, I kind of feel like that they they had
their sides.

Speaker 2 (58:07):
Dion just signed their big extension with Colorado, which I'm
sure that isn't.

Speaker 4 (58:11):
Out for the Dallas Cowboys if you wanted to.

Speaker 5 (58:13):
But again, now, Ernie Dallas had a vacancy this off
season and he talked to Dion and didn't hire him.

Speaker 2 (58:19):
Yeah, I don't think Dion was ready to go just yet.
I think he wanted to stay. But let me say something,
what if you got Dion's contract to Colorado. Do you
think there's a clauset that that says if.

Speaker 4 (58:29):
The Cowboys offered me that coaching job, I get to
get out of the contract. Do you think that's in there.

Speaker 5 (58:35):
I wouldn't put it in there if I was his boss.

Speaker 4 (58:38):
Well, there's always cont even, you know, there's always provisions
in the closet.

Speaker 3 (58:43):
I'm sure, but I don't think that I would be
wanting to put a provision in there that says you
can leave for the Dallas Cowboys job.

Speaker 4 (58:50):
Well, for a certain amount of money back, of course.

Speaker 3 (58:53):
I mean call me crazy, but I don't think you
give him that kind of extension.

Speaker 10 (58:57):
Arn't he if you just think he's gonna leave the
next year? No, I don't mean Colorado. I meant, well, yes,
I mean Colorado. But I think he wanted to put
it in there. But he's still thinking about going to
the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (59:11):
I don't think the Cowboys are gonna get Travis Hunter
and Shitor Sanderson. No, and I don't think any team
has that goal like you seem to have. But I'm hey,
like I said, I'm in my mind, something big is
still gonna happen. I don't know what that is, but
I do think that there could be something involving Aaron
Rodgers which would be worth getting into when we come back.
As we come to you live from the tire rack

(59:31):

Speaker 5 (59:54):

college football reporter Jenny Tapp. They'll have you covered for
all thirty two picks with predictions and reactions. That's Thursday
at eighties. Turn to the first round of the draft
live right here on Fox Sports Radio and with a

Speaker 5 (01:00:18):
And it's all brought to you by ship Station More.

Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
NFL Draft talk Todd Furman is out, so maybe we'll
even try to get Arnie's picks out.

Speaker 5 (01:00:25):
Of him early.

Speaker 3 (01:00:26):
It's Fox Sports Radio, all right, it's already in plank.
We're coming to you live from the tyrac dot Com studios.
So I just want to make this clear one more time, yeah,
before we move on, because I know what you find
a story here.

Speaker 4 (01:00:45):
Yeah, I do one couple hours ago.

Speaker 3 (01:00:47):
Okay, And so there is a theory out there that
you're onto something or is this one of these fake
news reports.

Speaker 4 (01:00:56):
No, because it has Diana Rossini being quoted in that too.

Speaker 5 (01:01:00):
Well, dianasaur Rassini.

Speaker 3 (01:01:01):
His batting average is going down miraculously by the minute.

Speaker 5 (01:01:05):
Oh my gosh. Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:01:07):
Well, but here we go, all speculation, though Chris Let's
there's not going to be any guaranteed truth at any
of these stories.

Speaker 5 (01:01:16):
Oh no, no, no, not at all at all. Is so.

Speaker 3 (01:01:19):
Arnie's theory is that teams want to pair up Shador
Sanders and Travis Hunter.

Speaker 2 (01:01:24):
Actually more teams they would like to pair him up,
but more realistically they did.

Speaker 4 (01:01:29):
They do want Travis Hunter. There's no everybody wants Travis Hunter.

Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
But well, yes, I mean he's one of the most
dynamic players in the draft. Right and so Racini said
in a video clip from the most recent episode of
Scoop City that quote. I've heard Jerry really likes Travis Hunter.

Speaker 5 (01:01:46):
I mean who doesn't though, right, right?

Speaker 3 (01:01:49):
And in fact, it was pretty funny because Daniel Jeremiah
even tweeted, I missed the days when the Cowboys were
aggressive and fun.

Speaker 5 (01:01:56):
Spice it up. Trade up for Travis Hunter. But again,
I mean, if.

Speaker 4 (01:02:01):
They can do it, they're the one of the few
I think they're the only team that could probably pull
that off.

Speaker 3 (01:02:07):
But you're you're counting on getting up to two, and
so you need the Browns to take Micah Parsons. And
then you're expecting the Browns to give up multiple picks
in the first round for you to go up to
two to get Micah Parsons or for you to draft
Travis Hunter and they're going to take Micah Parsons for it.

Speaker 4 (01:02:27):
They're well, would you, if you're the Browns, would you
take Mikeah Parsons for the number two pick?

Speaker 3 (01:02:32):
I don't know, can you? After what you just paid
Miles Garrett defensively?

Speaker 5 (01:02:37):
Right now?

Speaker 3 (01:02:37):
I mean, don't you have to start investing in your
offense a little bit too? I mean, what's what's the
future at quarterback there? What's future at running back? What's
future wide receiver?

Speaker 4 (01:02:46):
But you're gonna get.

Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
Into gain right now, because I don't know if this
draft is really gonna give you a lot of answers
in those positions.

Speaker 5 (01:02:52):
I don't know if any draft ever get well.

Speaker 3 (01:02:53):
I just mentioned like six positions, so one of them
you've got to I mean, honestly, right now, what you
look at the Browns depth chart all right, and while
I know this sounds very sexy to everyone, Oh, maybe
the Cowboys can trade up and get them. Do you
know what the leading I mean, they traded for Jerry
Judy last year, who's on his second team after being
a first round pick in twenty twenty. Right, they're starting

(01:03:15):
running back right now. Apparently he's Jerome Ford. Your starting
quarterback is Joe Flacco. You have an offensive line that,
while good at right tackle, you got a fourth round
pick from two years yea, I shouldn't say that. Edwin
Jones has been pretty damn good. But I mean you're
good on defense, right, You're good, super strong.

Speaker 5 (01:03:35):
Don't you want to work on your offense a little bit?

Speaker 4 (01:03:37):
Of course?

Speaker 2 (01:03:37):
You want to, absolutely that's you know, maybe it's only
if Hunter gets past number two.

Speaker 4 (01:03:44):
But you know we'll have to see. I mean, look,
you asked.

Speaker 2 (01:03:49):
If there's gonna be a big, you know, something crazy
in the draft. That's the one thing I could think
They're gonna make it absolutely crazy. It's a long shot,
there's no doubt about that, though.

Speaker 4 (01:04:00):
I do think other teams want Hunter and want to
be able to pull off a trade to baby go
ahead and get him if he's available.

Speaker 5 (01:04:06):
If you had the first pick in this draft and
you were the.

Speaker 3 (01:04:09):
Titans, knowing everything they need, would you be really dead
set on cam Ward and not even think a little
bit about Craftain Hunter.

Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
No, my number one pick is not a quarterback that
played for Carson Ward.

Speaker 4 (01:04:20):
I'm sorry about that in Carter.

Speaker 3 (01:04:22):
Ward or whatever, but I mean he did play a
year at Washington State in the year at Miami too,
so you're going back to his first college of three
that he played at.

Speaker 4 (01:04:31):
How did other quarterbacks from Washington State work out?

Speaker 5 (01:04:34):
I mean not too terribly right.

Speaker 4 (01:04:37):
Where did Bledsell go to school?

Speaker 3 (01:04:39):
Washington State hit a pretty good run. I mean Ryan
Leaf wasn't all that great. But I mean if we're
sitting here and people are going to try to say
that Nico left Tennessee because he was worried about the
pro prospects of Tennessee quarterbacks, I would challenge you to
find the last great in Wyoming quarterback before Josh I know, right,
and take your time in trying to find the that's

(01:05:00):
great Texas Tech quarterback from that system. It'll take a
while before Mahomes there wasn't one.

Speaker 2 (01:05:05):
I just think cam is the number one pick because obviously,
tendency needs a quarterback, and he's the best quarterback they
feel in the draft. I'm not sure he's worthy of
a number one pick overall that we've seen, but then again,
some of them are missus anyway, Chris, you.

Speaker 5 (01:05:20):
Know what your reasoning is because he went to a
carn at work.

Speaker 4 (01:05:24):
Come with That was a joke, guys, It was just
joking about that stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:05:27):
Stop it all right, Well, we're coming to live from
the tyrack dot Com studios. Todd for him and he's out.
Your tweets are coming up next. Sager's got a fool up?
What am I talking about? The Sager's got a sports
update right now with what's trending?

Speaker 5 (01:05:38):
What's going on?

Speaker 4 (01:05:38):
Steve?

Speaker 6 (01:05:39):
Are you besmirching the good name of Graham Harrell and
Cliff Kingsberry.

Speaker 5 (01:05:42):
And maybe just as professional quarterbacks?

Speaker 6 (01:05:45):
Oh okay, okay, Cliff Kingsbury.

Speaker 4 (01:05:49):
People, youngsters. We have to say at this point because
I think he played like twenty years ago.

Speaker 3 (01:05:54):
Yeah, he was Tom Brady's backup kind of sort in
one camp. I think, really, I don't even remember that.

Speaker 5 (01:06:00):
I think he was.

Speaker 3 (01:06:00):
I think he might have been drafted by the Patriots.
Hold on, well, you do your update. I'll do a
little googling on one Cliff Kings game. We'll see it
as drafted by the Patriots.

Speaker 4 (01:06:09):
Yeah, oh, look at you.

Speaker 5 (01:06:11):
Right out of the back.

Speaker 6 (01:06:12):
We can update the hockey playoff game in Vegas, where
todd Is Golden Knights are holding on against Minnesota three
to two with about six minutes to go. Earlier wins
for Toronto and Carolina. US women's hockey won the World Championships,
beating Canada in overtime. There were four more NBA playoff
openers tonight. The late game went to Golden State at
Houston ninety five eighty five. The Warriors led by twenty

(01:06:35):
three points in the third quarter. The lead was down
to eighty four eighty with two and a half minutes left,
but then Moses Moody with a three. Jimmy Butler takes
over with a couple of buckets and a dunk. Eventually
it's a win of by ten ninety five eighty five.

Speaker 4 (01:06:51):
Golden State. Cleveland beat Miami one twenty one one hundred,
Boston pulled away to down Orlando one oh.

Speaker 6 (01:06:57):
Three eighty six, and it was okal Oahoma City one
thirty one to eighty against the Memphis Grizzlies. Yes, Oklahoma
City was the best team in the regular season. Sixty
eight and fourteen was.

Speaker 4 (01:07:10):
The record back to Vancouver. Their home record is now
thirty six and six.

Speaker 5 (01:07:16):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (01:07:17):
Justin Thomas was the golf winner in a playoff, beating
Andrew Novak at Hiltonhead. Thomas shot a first round sixty
one on Thursday. NASCAR's Cup Series was off today for Easter.
It'll be on Fox TV next Sunday from Talladega. IndyCar's
next race isn't till May fourth in Birmingham. All the
IndyCar races this year are on Fox TV, so that
includes the Indy five hundred in late May. And Yes,

(01:07:39):
former Tennessee Balls quarterback Nico Iamaliava made it official announcing
his transfer to UCLA. He is from nearby Long Beach, California.

Speaker 4 (01:07:49):
We will have.

Speaker 6 (01:07:49):
Sixteen pro prospects attending the NFL Draft this Thursday in
Green Bay, including quarterbacks Cam Ward and Jalen. Milroe was
on the list. Round one will be Thursday night. Cover's
right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (01:08:01):
Can't wait.

Speaker 6 (01:08:02):
As for the rest of the draft, Rounds two and
three are the following night rounds four through seven on Saturday,
the twenty sixth. I mentioned earlier that Dallas, like New Orleans,
had started voluntary offseason workout programs this past Monday. That
includes rehab work meetings, conditioning. It's not full practice, it's
hardly training camp. Five other teams with new head coaches

(01:08:23):
began such workouts. The rest of the clubs start apparently
this coming week. The late night ballgame in Houston went
to the Padres three to two. San Diego is sixteen
and six this season. Fernando Tatist Junior with a solo
homer in the seventh inning. He's batting over three point fifty.
This was his eighth home run of the season already.
He scored all three runs in this win and good

(01:08:44):
news for the Padres. Luis Ariaz, who was carted off
early tonight after a collision at first base. He was
in the clubhouse after the game. No decision for the
starting pitchers. It was Dylan Ceas against from Ervaldez. But
the Pods win again. So while they're sixteen and six,
Dodgers sixteen and seven got a win at Texas won
nothing today to save to the new LA closer Tanner

(01:09:04):
Scott is eight save already on a day where the
Dodger offense was three for twenty nine. They got an
eighth inning sack fly from Freddie Freeman and one again.
The Dodger starter Tyler Glasnell left in the fifth inning
with leg cramps. He was fine after the game. Ten
inning wins on the road for Kansas City, Cleveland, and
Miami and eleven inning win on the road for Arizona,

(01:09:26):
winning three to two at the Cubs. Cubs offense went
four for thirty six. That game was tied one to
one going to the tenth.

Speaker 4 (01:09:33):
Back to you.

Speaker 3 (01:09:34):
Ouch every time, he says, Arizona, I think about your wildcat.

Speaker 4 (01:09:38):
I know I was about to go. Well, he was
talking about diamond Backs, by the way. Some did you
guys get a big time recruit this week or something?
In basketball? Yeah, we have. We've got a bunch of them.
We're like the number one team in the country. Get
out of our way next year. Really, Oh, I'll be
surprised if we lose one game. Oh, Bryce James. Is

(01:09:59):
Bryce James going to Arizona, right, James, JA, He's gonna
be like the seventh player on the team, seventh best player.

Speaker 5 (01:10:05):
Seventh best player.

Speaker 3 (01:10:07):
So Lebron bron Son, Boy, you're really starting off on
the right track there. He'll be kissing his backside in
like a month whenever he thinks, Hey, you know, if
he does good for Arizona, maybe he'll come on the show.
Maybe I'll get to know Lebron.

Speaker 4 (01:10:19):
No, no, Ian, what is Lebron gonna get mad at me?

Speaker 3 (01:10:21):
I think yeah, he might get him up to you
and stare you down and yell at you the game
or something.

Speaker 5 (01:10:26):
You know, it's got a history.

Speaker 4 (01:10:27):
Of that'd be fun.

Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
But no, I think he's good. I'm saying your son's good.
But Arizona's deep.

Speaker 1 (01:10:33):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:10:33):
The first of all, they got two of the top
ten McDonald's all Americans that are going to start, So
there's two. They have two returning starters as four, and
they're waiting on another one, so that's gonna be five
right off the bat.

Speaker 3 (01:10:47):
So and all this is determined in April of twenty
twenty five.

Speaker 4 (01:10:52):
That's right, man, I'm gonna have to call the coach
and have a talk with him.

Speaker 5 (01:10:55):
Yeah, good luck with that.

Speaker 3 (01:10:56):
So let's go to the Let's go the tweets before
de Seger gets us a full in depth update. Griddles
mc blackout, one of my favorite rights. I think at
least part of the reason why draft picks aren't moving
is because we're coming off those deals for Russell Wilson
into Shawn Watson and maybe GM's are gunshot could.

Speaker 2 (01:11:15):
Be Also, maybe it's because they don't think there's anybody
worth trading up for him, that this is not a
very deep draft and they'll just stay where they are.
If anything, maybe teams will trade down if they're gonna
be offered a lot and pick up some extra draft picks.

Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
Overall, you always bring that up, but you just crapped
all over the amount of talent in this draft, and
then you're like, well, maybe people will want to move
up somebody.

Speaker 4 (01:11:37):
If somebody moves up, somebody gotta move down.

Speaker 5 (01:11:39):
You know, I ever want to say, I just maybe
there's no talent in this draft. I want to move down.

Speaker 4 (01:11:44):
Everyone's gonna pass other draft picks.

Speaker 5 (01:11:46):
These people are just gonna say, like, we're not gonna
draft anyone.

Speaker 4 (01:11:49):
Yes, we don't want anybody. Forget it.

Speaker 5 (01:11:51):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:11:51):
Emittt called on a Friday night show and he said,
I think the sand I think that Sanders will go
to the Saints. Told Chris about this on Friday Night.
They need a new quarterback, someone that can set the culture,
and he is the perfect guy. Kellam Moore does not
work out, Coach Prime could be the Saints next head coach.

Speaker 4 (01:12:09):
I agree with him.

Speaker 2 (01:12:10):
I think that's where Sanders will probably end up. But
I'm only about seventy five percent sure. You know if
there's anybody that's going to take a run at him.

Speaker 3 (01:12:20):
And you do know the draft is Thursday night, yeah,
Friday night and Saturday night, so when you do your picks,
you must include some draft talk tonight.

Speaker 4 (01:12:29):
Right, absolutely, I'm gonna I was gonna do my top
five picks.

Speaker 5 (01:12:34):
Get them.

Speaker 2 (01:12:35):
By the way, can I ask you a question when
people trade, why do they have to usually wait for
Draft Day to make trades?

Speaker 4 (01:12:41):
Why can't they do it like way before? Then? Why
can't they do it like right?

Speaker 3 (01:12:44):
We've had that, We've had it where they've done it before.
Whenever the Rams moved up to get who they get
Jared Goff, that was early. Carson Wentz and the Eagles,
that was early. When they made that move when they
were the Washington Red kids and they moved up to
get RG three, that was early. But you're right, we
don't hear about it recently, the big moves have been

(01:13:05):
on draft day.

Speaker 5 (01:13:06):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:13:06):
It's a good question, why aren't Why is the NBA
still not figured out that you can go ahead and
announce guys being traded before they put on the teach.

Speaker 5 (01:13:15):
Out, you know, great mysteries the thing. Ever, here's what
ged Up said.

Speaker 3 (01:13:20):
He writes, do you think Aaron Rodgers' story about the
meeting with the Jets is accurate or an embellishment? And
I think he can He continued, I think what Aaron
meant is that the coach would give direction to the
team during a meeting, and suddenly the team returned to
Rogers and say, so, what do you think? That's what

(01:13:43):
Aaron Glenn apparent allegedly said to Aaron Rodgers when they
were asking them, Hey, we want to know how you
want this release. How you want it phrased, because I
don't need everyone looking back at you.

Speaker 5 (01:13:52):
Was how he put it. Do you think there's a
bit of an embellishment there from Aaron or not?

Speaker 4 (01:13:56):
I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (01:13:57):
I think you probably kept it one hundred percent on
this one. This is not about getting a COVID shot.
We're you embellished or you know, kind of you know,
use different words, and nobody pressed him on that.

Speaker 4 (01:14:08):
I think he was being full fledged on this one.

Speaker 3 (01:14:12):
Well, when we come back to the Tirack dot com studios,

by Dollar Shave Club right here on Fox. Here he
is Steve Desager, ladies and gentlemen, with everything that's going
on in the world of sports.

Speaker 5 (01:15:15):
What's up, Steve?

Speaker 4 (01:15:16):
Everything is final.

Speaker 6 (01:15:17):
Vegas has just given credit for an empty netter at
the Buzzer, so four to the final over the Minnesota
Wild Earlier wins for Toronto and Carolina in the playoffs
we mentioned all the football news a few minutes ago,
did not mention the UFL game in DC, A team
that was three and zero lost at home to the
San Antonio Bramos, who had been zero and three. Geez,

(01:15:39):
twenty four to eighteen the final. That was a quarterback
matchup of Kellen mond of a and m beating Jordan
tom Move from Ole Miss. Oh wow, So let's get
to the NBA.

Speaker 4 (01:15:49):
Party played in that league or no.

Speaker 6 (01:15:52):
No, he had four years of college football and for then, okay,
it's where frankly that some others who had less than
four years of college football should have played. San Francisco
might be familiar with the guy I'm thinking about two
years ago. But anyway, Steve Kerr after winning game one
of any series is twenty and one all.

Speaker 4 (01:16:11):
Time in those pretty good, not bad.

Speaker 6 (01:16:14):
He has taken Game one at Houston tonight and it
wound up close. I mean the Warriors were up twenty
three in the third quarter. The lead was down to
four with two and a half minutes to go, a
ten point victory ninety five eighty five, Which means when
Steve kirk team is up twenty in a playoff game,
they've almost always won forty five and one in those situations. Yes,

(01:16:35):
they actually blew a big playoff lead one. It was
a magical first round Clipper comeback in twenty nineteen where
they were down thirty one and still came back the Rockets.
Jalen Green, who was a great scorer this year, was
three of fifteen shooting from the floor tonight. Fred Van
Vliet from three point range two for thirteen. So the

(01:16:56):
Warriors get Game one. Earlier at Oklahoma City, the number
one team in the league posted the largest opening series
when in the history of the playoffs, one thirty one
to eighty. The thunderbeat the Grizzlies. The overall NBA record
is still a fifty eight point margin in a postseason game.
This was just unbelievable dominance. It was some people, and

(01:17:19):
I've heard this on the air tonight, you know it
was a blowout. I'll find something else to watch. I
couldn't find myself able to take my eyes off this game.

Speaker 4 (01:17:27):
It was like a train record.

Speaker 6 (01:17:29):
Yes, it just wasn't ending. It's just a It was
a twenty to nothing run before halftime, and then it
got worse after that.

Speaker 2 (01:17:35):
If you're the fourteen and a half in Game two,
I think I'll lay the fourteen.

Speaker 4 (01:17:40):
And a half.

Speaker 6 (01:17:40):
Yeah, Well, after a twenty to nothing run in the
second quarter, it seems logical that they would be winning
by Fourteen Grizzlies from three point range today six for
thirty four plus twenty two turnovers, and the Memphis starters
shot fourteen of fifty six from the floor. Tip for
those who don't know the quick math, that's not even
close to fifty percent shooting. It's fourteen to fifty six

(01:18:03):
for the Grizzly starters in this game. But you want
a team that had a bad day today, that would
be the former Oakland Athletics their opponent in Milwaukee. The
Brewers stole six bases in the first inning of this game,
the first team to steal six in any inning since
the nineteen nineteen New York Giants. They wound up with

(01:18:25):
nine stolen bases in the game, and the A's offense
went four for thirty, struck out fourteen times. The A's
defense committed four errors, and they lost the game at
Milwaukee fourteen to one.

Speaker 4 (01:18:40):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 6 (01:18:41):
Aside from that, missus Lincoln, how was the play? Apparently
this is the third straight season that a major league
team has stolen nine in a game. But okay, we
can't go on without mentioning the home loss for the
Baltimore Orioles today. They paid a veteran pitcher, Charlie Morton,
fifteen million dollars to be in their rotation this year.
He lost twenty four to two. Today go to the

(01:19:03):
Cincinnati Reds. He is zero to five. His ERA is
ten point eight nine so far.

Speaker 4 (01:19:09):
Remember what he was a stud that guy O. Yes, yes,
very long career.

Speaker 6 (01:19:13):
He was only down I say only only down seven
to one in the third inning. By the time the
eighth inning arrived, the Orioles used a shortstop as their pitcher.
In the ninth inning, they used a catcher as their pitcher.
The Reds number nine hitter in the order, Austin Wins,
went six for seven with six RBIs.

Speaker 4 (01:19:32):
Now I'll bring up the appeal.

Speaker 6 (01:19:33):
The Reds offense as a whole at the plate twenty
five for fifty one in the game at Baltimore batted
nearly five hundred for the entire game, plus eleven walks.

Speaker 4 (01:19:44):
In this one as well.

Speaker 6 (01:19:46):
And at Adaheim the angel scored four in the bottom
of the ninth to beat the Giants. Encloser Ryan Walker
and the Halos until the ninth inning had just three
hits today three for twenty six. That ruined a good
start from the Giants. Justin Verlander noticed a you need
to have six strikeouts in six innings. Colorado finally won
a game. They split a doubleheader against Washington. They played

(01:20:07):
two today after a rain out Friday. They lost the
first game three two to the Nationals, which meant eight
straight losses for the Rockies and a record of three
and seventeen. But I say, sarcastically, at least they're in
a bad division, the n West. I'm sure they'll catch up.
And then they did lose the opener, but not the nightcap.
Three to one, Rockies get a win. Congratulations on that.

Speaker 5 (01:20:28):
I think inevitable, right, it's inevitable. All right.

Speaker 3 (01:20:31):
Hey, when we come back to the tyrack dot com studios,
we'll be counting down to Arnie's picture. Tweets have been great,
plus all kinds of draft rumors. I'm emptying the notebook
for Arnie. Next on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:20:45):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio Power Hour?

Speaker 5 (01:20:49):
Is that Rice? All right?

Speaker 3 (01:20:51):
You got coming to you live from the tyrack dot
com studios. Tyrack dot com. We'll help you get there.
An unmatched selection, fast, free shipping, free road hazard protection,
and over ten thousand recommended installers. Tyrack dot com is
the way tire buying should be.

Speaker 2 (01:21:08):
You know, by the way, you have a special tweet
asking you a question.

Speaker 5 (01:21:16):
See it.

Speaker 4 (01:21:17):
I haven't like, how the hell do you keep up
that pace on the weekends doing all that Softball broadcast
and the overnights on Fox broadcast, and then your morning
show on Monday. Of course you got the Sunday night show.

Speaker 2 (01:21:31):
My god, Luke Gerrik's got nothing on you as far
as being the Iron Horse.

Speaker 4 (01:21:37):
That is from Chris out there.

Speaker 5 (01:21:38):
I have two daughters. You do work out?

Speaker 4 (01:21:40):
You do?

Speaker 5 (01:21:40):
They cost a lot of money, and that's the only way.

Speaker 4 (01:21:45):
I mean.

Speaker 3 (01:21:45):
It's not like we do hard work, right, I mean,
come on, we just sit here and just spew opinions.

Speaker 4 (01:21:50):
It is pretty hard, though. I tell my wife it's
hard work.

Speaker 3 (01:21:53):
I try to sell my wife on how hard this
work is. You know, I've got a really good one
going right now with her dollar. Our show starts at
ten o'clock Central time every single Sunday night, and when
I'm home I tell her they we've got a pre
show meeting every single night at eight thirty.

Speaker 5 (01:22:13):
Or every single Sunday night, so.

Speaker 3 (01:22:15):
I you know, all of my honeydews and things, it's
got an eight thirty Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:22:19):
I guess you could say cut down date, right, that's
my curfew?

Speaker 4 (01:22:23):
Like would I ever?

Speaker 2 (01:22:24):
Like when the knicks are on, my wife's like, what
do you do? We got going tonight to SA I'm working?
She goes, you're you're on the are go, No watch
the game.

Speaker 4 (01:22:31):
She was the whole day with you. St does not work.

Speaker 5 (01:22:35):
What is the worst thing?

Speaker 3 (01:22:36):
Where she tries to tell me, well, you can DVR
the game and watch it later.

Speaker 4 (01:22:39):
No, no, no, no home play that game.

Speaker 5 (01:22:42):
Twitter ruins it, could you, guys?

Speaker 3 (01:22:44):
I mean I didn't watch WrestleMania, and everyone's ruining WrestleMania
for me tonight.

Speaker 5 (01:22:49):
They all want your opinion on it, but yeah, they couldn't.

Speaker 4 (01:22:51):
You didn't go two hundred dollars for parking? What two
hundred dollars for parking?

Speaker 5 (01:22:56):
Didn't Mike Carman go he paid two hundred bucks for parking?

Speaker 4 (01:23:00):
No, it wasn't Harmon. It was a reporter from Elie
that I know that. I don't know if you know
Marage Mark Cosey.

Speaker 5 (01:23:06):
Oh, I saw I saw him tweeting about it. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:23:08):
Yeah, two hundred dollars for parking? What are you crazy?
It's like ada is that's.

Speaker 3 (01:23:15):
The price of a ticket. Another personality quirk of mine.
I'll refuse to pay for parking. I will find the
farthest and you're walking, you right, that's right. I will
find a spot on the street. I will park four
miles away. I will not pay for parking. Now, it's
gonna be tough if I ever moved to New York,
because I don't know if there's anywhere you can park
without paying around any car.

Speaker 4 (01:23:37):
New York, you can just take the subway anywhere.

Speaker 3 (01:23:39):
Well, that is true, that is true. That is true,
So that would be an advantage there. But two hundred
bucks to park it seems excessive.

Speaker 4 (01:23:48):
Right, And how mat your tickets to that thing?

Speaker 5 (01:23:50):
Oh, they're cheap, They're like a couple grand.

Speaker 3 (01:23:52):
So I mean you know, no, I don't know, ask Carmen, No,
Harmon went, Mike Carmon went, yeah, that's why.

Speaker 1 (01:23:59):
I think.

Speaker 5 (01:23:59):
That's why. How about this.

Speaker 2 (01:24:01):
Ticket prices for Coachella where you had like people were saying, well,
we'll just get it now, we'll finance the thing and
pay later. The tickets were like twenty five or thirty
thousand dollars or something.

Speaker 3 (01:24:13):
Didn't We do that a lot during my generation and
that's why we ended up with crippling credit card debt.

Speaker 5 (01:24:18):
It's like, not at I'll get this credit card.

Speaker 3 (01:24:20):
It's got no interest here, And the next thing you know,
it's you're just you're just crippled.

Speaker 4 (01:24:24):
For life by concert tickets. With it.

Speaker 5 (01:24:28):
Alcohol though, whenever I was that age, well that's.

Speaker 4 (01:24:30):
A different thing.

Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
You have an alcohol you know, what I would do
and stuff like that is what you do is you
go to like a Texaco and they have a mini mart,
and then you stock up on beer and all this
stuff in the mini mart. You put it on the
Texago credit card, and then my dad would pay the
Texico credit card.

Speaker 5 (01:24:47):
So did he not get suspicious whenever he's like, damn son,
you're getting gas a lot recently. What's going on there?

Speaker 4 (01:24:53):
Every day? Every day getting gas? I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:24:55):
We got some good tweets to get you. I don't
I'll be honest with you.

Speaker 3 (01:24:58):
I don't know where you would want to go in
talking about the NBA playoffs, because, like guys, I love
sports and I love the NBA, and I'm happy as
a clam with what happened with the thunder tonight. But
I can't imagine that this was one of those days
where you went away saying the NBA that is fantasmic.

Speaker 2 (01:25:14):
No, I mean it will pick up. The storylines are
gonna pick up. We'll see which teams bounce back in
Game two. Well, I'm dying to see what's gonna happen
in the Laker game. To me, if we're looking at
who's the most intriguing Game two, it's got to be
the Lakers, in Minnesota. Want to see what the Lakers
are gonna do is encore performance after that stinker in

(01:25:35):
Game number one. I want to see how that works out.
I want to see if Memphis can bounce back from
a fifty point loss. We'll see what happens in that
Nick game again, because really the Knicks were down down
by nine nine minutes left of the game.

Speaker 4 (01:25:47):
You really shouldn't lose that game. I bet you. The
teams are by nine in the fourth quarter, probably went
about seventy five percent of the time.

Speaker 2 (01:25:54):
You know, they let that one slip through their fingers.
So Nick's got a very big victory there. So there's
some good to be some good story wise for game two.

Speaker 3 (01:26:02):
And then here was John Moran after the Grizzlies got
beat by like one hundred tonight.

Speaker 4 (01:26:07):
Yeah, we never play that bat again.

Speaker 5 (01:26:10):
Defensive intensity, they had a lot of easy looks, was pretty.

Speaker 8 (01:26:14):
Much getting you know, wherever they wanted on the floor
and offensively taking care of the ball.

Speaker 3 (01:26:19):
I will give John Morant credit for this because he
spun that pretty quick from we'll never play that bad
again to this.

Speaker 4 (01:26:27):
Continue to play our games.

Speaker 1 (01:26:28):
We dealt with pressure all year.

Speaker 4 (01:26:30):
And we went Tuesday Series one one. I wish somebody
would have asked him, do you think you would have
played better if you weren't worried about making up celebrations?

Speaker 3 (01:26:39):
Oh my gosh, Ronnie, we don't have to do this tonight.
There wasn't a celebration. We have games.

Speaker 4 (01:26:43):
I don't have to go down this run.

Speaker 2 (01:26:44):
Could you imagine if somebody asked them something like that,
that boy that would have stirted up, that would really
would have gotten it going.

Speaker 5 (01:26:50):
Ian Roddy knows this.

Speaker 3 (01:26:51):
I was talking about it with bersh I think with
us Berschinger in last week.

Speaker 5 (01:26:55):
Everyone.

Speaker 3 (01:26:56):
I every time that Ai that someone created of his
cell libration when he just turns and he has the
gun in his hand, I don't know why, it just
cracks me up. I can't It's terrible, but I can't
stop laughing at it.

Speaker 5 (01:27:08):
It was bad man. That was bad to that.

Speaker 7 (01:27:09):
I mean one where he's in a postgame meeting too,
and he just takes one out and just starts it,
just starts unloading.

Speaker 4 (01:27:17):
There's too many of them.

Speaker 3 (01:27:18):
So yeah, maybe so Hardy, maybe that'll be the question.
You know what they're in Oklahoma City on When is
that Tuesday night?

Speaker 5 (01:27:26):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:27:27):
Is that the next game for the Thunder in the Grizz.
You've gone down. I should go ask that question for you.

Speaker 2 (01:27:32):
Oh, that'd be awesome. Yeah, it is Tuesday night. Well,
I don't know about partner or want to ask your question.
He's not here now. So this is Farney Spaniard.

Speaker 3 (01:27:41):
Right, and I listen. I don't think they're gonna let
me just pop in magically on game two of the
first round of the playoffs, when I haven't been credentialed
all year long and be like, hey, you don't go
to the games. No, I don't go to the games.
It's a credentialed medium.

Speaker 4 (01:27:55):
Why why wouldn't you go as a credential media I
don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:28:00):
Oh, I just I don't want to hang out with
those people when I go to a game.

Speaker 4 (01:28:03):
You want to you know who you are?

Speaker 5 (01:28:05):
I know.

Speaker 3 (01:28:05):
But again, I don't want to be a credential media member.
I want to go as a fan. When I go,
I want to eat the food and.

Speaker 5 (01:28:11):
Drink the beer.

Speaker 3 (01:28:12):
It's like, I get it that it's part of covering,
but it's more people, don't are you kidding me?

Speaker 4 (01:28:17):
In Oklahoma City, this team is covered.

Speaker 3 (01:28:18):
By a bunch of people that are fanboys for it,
So I mean, what what good am I doing if
I try to be a professional media member, Arnie, Come on,
I gotta go and be a fan.

Speaker 5 (01:28:26):
I gotta be immersed amongst the people.

Speaker 3 (01:28:28):
I gotta be like tattoo jersey guy that got Luka
Dancic just kicked out of the game.

Speaker 2 (01:28:33):
The media credential to get into the game, and then
you sit in the stands with the fans.

Speaker 4 (01:28:36):
That's what you know.

Speaker 3 (01:28:36):
I don't think it works like that, but I'll give
it a try next time. I'll ask around. I'm shocked
to the to the tweets to the show tonight at
Genius one. I'm at Plank Show. Everybody can follow us
at Fox Sports Radio. Our buddy nature Boy checked in
it said NBA blowouts worked wonders for me because I
replaced the transmission fluid on two cars and a live

(01:28:57):
stream watching the stinking genius watching the Knicks. He'd rather
watch a televised Terry Bradshaw fishing trip.

Speaker 4 (01:29:03):
Oh why why would you say that?

Speaker 2 (01:29:05):
That wouldn't be exciting watching Terry Bradshaw fishing.

Speaker 3 (01:29:08):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (01:29:08):
It could be funny.

Speaker 5 (01:29:09):
Is there a story about it?

Speaker 4 (01:29:10):
No? I think he's making that he's.

Speaker 5 (01:29:12):
Making that up. I had news right.

Speaker 3 (01:29:14):
John Cena is officially the Goat passes the nature boy
Rick Flair with his seventeenth world title.

Speaker 4 (01:29:20):
I can't believe that. Are we allowed to say that?
Isn't that? Is that supposed to be a secret.

Speaker 5 (01:29:27):
No, it's I mean it happened tonight, So I mean
it's pretty much everything.

Speaker 4 (01:29:30):
I have no idea. You know where I am on
the whole.

Speaker 3 (01:29:33):
Yeah, you still think Jimmy super Fly Snook is alive
and he's gonna come out and save the day.

Speaker 5 (01:29:37):
He's gonna have to do a slim gym. That's Randy Savage.

Speaker 3 (01:29:40):
He's gonna look, he's gonna get out there and he's
gonna hold up his his his fingers, and Jimmy Snook
is gonna.

Speaker 4 (01:29:45):
Go I do it his foot of fens. I love you.
That's crazy. My favorite wrestler is the iron cheek to
this day.

Speaker 5 (01:29:53):
R I p are you?

Speaker 7 (01:29:54):
No?

Speaker 4 (01:29:55):
Was he that? I didn't know that? What are you
doing to me? You've mentioned three dead wrestlers, No andret.
Now you can tell me he's dead. I'm pretty sure
he's dead. No.

Speaker 5 (01:30:07):
Friday, the other night, I got a lot of Andre
the Giant Trivia. If you guys get here.

Speaker 4 (01:30:12):
What are you doing in nineteen ninety three?

Speaker 5 (01:30:15):
Yeah, damn mapal Lou.

Speaker 3 (01:30:21):
She checked in and said, I worked a Long Beach
Grand Prix all last week and parked a mile away
right by the Metro and paid seventy five dollars each
way to ride the subway on site. On site parking
was seventy five dollars a car for the That's crazy,
I mean, what are we doing.

Speaker 4 (01:30:40):
What would you do?

Speaker 2 (01:30:40):
Is that people park far away and then you pick
him up in your car and charge them Mike ten
bucks a person and you drop him off nearby.

Speaker 4 (01:30:47):
What an entrepreneur? Yeah, you can make some money on that.

Speaker 5 (01:30:51):
They could have didn You could start this business where
they can get on apps.

Speaker 4 (01:30:55):
Short one of those short bus. Oh yeah, that's true too.

Speaker 1 (01:30:58):
Well what is it?

Speaker 4 (01:30:59):
I'm I mean, I guess you call it hooper? Yeah,
who wants to do that?

Speaker 5 (01:31:04):
Let's see, there's a couple more here that I wanted
to get to. Uh, here you go.

Speaker 3 (01:31:08):
This is from Joe Judges Burner, who writes we need
a new quality reality TV show about the insanity of
these lunatic quarterback dads. The genius who tried to play
Tennessee for a king's ransom while making two mill and
got his son checks notes one point five million in Cali,
which is about eight hundred k after taxis But a

(01:31:29):
daddy knows best. Enjoy your four wins, Nico.

Speaker 2 (01:31:32):
If you told me there was a TV show, and
on the TV show you get to hear Nico's dad
on the phone with Tennessee asking for more money, I
would say, I need to watch this TV show.

Speaker 4 (01:31:44):
Yes, I want. I'm all the way on a TV
show like that.

Speaker 2 (01:31:48):
If you're going to play the phone call of him
talking to Tennessee, I want to hear everything about it.

Speaker 3 (01:31:53):
I don't think I've ever been triggered more than I
was by one tweet this week. And I'm trying to
become a better person, aren't you know me. I'm trying
to try to be calmer and not you know, be
ready shoot aim. I'm trying to take my time and
think about it. And there was a guy whom I've
never heard of, but he has a bunch of followers,
which I guess makes him smart. And his name was

(01:32:13):
Brett Coleman, and he tried to lay out that it
makes sense to him why he would go to UCLA
because of the offense at Tennessee and then have the
audacity to say him getting far less than four million
at UCLA would somewhat back that up. So, in other words,
what you're saying is you're gonna ask for the moon,

(01:32:34):
and your whole reason is because you're gonna leave anyway
and go play in a different offense, and because you're
taking less money, that shows that shows that you're really
committed to that whole new offensive scheme that's gonna help
out your draft stock somewhere.

Speaker 5 (01:32:47):
Get out of here, man, This was about money from
the start, right.

Speaker 2 (01:32:50):
But by the way, though, I think I have to
do some damage control.

Speaker 5 (01:32:55):
And oh they're doing damage control like crazy.

Speaker 4 (01:32:58):
No, But I mean he's gonna have to eventually have
to face the media if I again, absolutely, if i'm him,
I'm gonna say something like this. You know, people are
gonna say, hey, do you think the whole thing was
handled wrong? Would you have done it again? Blah blah
blah blah blah.

Speaker 2 (01:33:11):
I would have said, you know what, I learned the
valuable lesson, and it costs me a lot of money,
and it costs me my team.

Speaker 4 (01:33:17):
But that's okay. I learned the valuable lesson. I'm gonna
move forward.

Speaker 2 (01:33:20):
I'm gonna become a better player for this, a better
person for this. Yes, and Cla got a great quarterback
because of this. And now I'm going to be all
in for UCLA and try to clean up my image
a little bit.

Speaker 3 (01:33:33):
Bravo, Bravo party, absolutely, because I think you just wrote
the handbook.

Speaker 4 (01:33:38):
Quit being jerks about it, you know, just admit it.
I understand.

Speaker 3 (01:33:41):
There is no way on God's green earth that Niko
and his family got together and said we're in an offense.

Speaker 5 (01:33:47):
It puts up numbers.

Speaker 3 (01:33:49):
Look at us where we're gonna make money out the
wazoo in the NFL, just based on my size and
my arm strength, and I'm gonna become better. I let's go.
You know, I told coach, get us some offensive lineman,
some receivers. There's no state income tax in Tennessee. We're
making two mil. I'm twenty years old.

Speaker 5 (01:34:06):
Let's go. You're telling me that magically in there.

Speaker 3 (01:34:09):
Yeah, but if we tweak the offense a little bit,
let's go pay play for one point five million somewhe
where they're gonna eat up all of our money with
taxes and a school that hasn't won in a while.

Speaker 4 (01:34:17):
Now you got to take accountability because I think it
could affect them when it comes to draft time or
maybe it will be forgotten.

Speaker 5 (01:34:23):
We love a redemption story.

Speaker 4 (01:34:26):
Yes we do. I think he has to clean it
up a little.

Speaker 3 (01:34:29):
Bit though, and instead of and his like his family,
putting him in the portal with a do.

Speaker 5 (01:34:34):
Not contact tag right when you're out there so listening.

Speaker 4 (01:34:37):
What Yeah, but people do that, do not contact right.

Speaker 3 (01:34:40):
They do that when they have an offer that's waiting
for them and that's where they're going to go next.
He did not you know, it's literally Tulane said, no things.
North Carolina went in a different direction, you know, Notre
Dame didn't even pursue them. USC didn't even pursue them.
I mean, those are big swings Admissis, in my opinion,
right there, and you took less than half.

Speaker 5 (01:34:59):
Of what you were getting. Come on, man, let me
ask you a question.

Speaker 4 (01:35:03):
Who was the one that rated him out? I don't
think that's a real story, Oh, Dan Lanning, that's that's.

Speaker 3 (01:35:08):
Me because there's one person that's reported that, and everyone
ran with it like wildfire. No one else has reported it,
but one Twitter feed and the rumor was that Dan
Lanning reached out to Josh Heipel to let him know
that Nico was sniffing around for another deal.

Speaker 5 (01:35:23):
Right again, I don't think it's true.

Speaker 4 (01:35:24):
If that was true, I think that's not a line
by him.

Speaker 5 (01:35:29):
I don't think it's because it's technically tampering and illegal.

Speaker 4 (01:35:34):
That doesn't mean he has to That doesn't mean he
has to contact the coach though.

Speaker 3 (01:35:38):
I just again, I don't know if it's true or not.
But so you wouldn't want to know if one of
your players.

Speaker 2 (01:35:43):
Yes, I would want to know, but but I think
it's still out of line for a coach to go
ahead and do that. Can you imagine if a coach,
and remember I've told you this story before, but could
you imagine if a coach said, why does your player
want to transfer? Why is your player asking for more money?
And every coach ratted out your player doing something like that.
You can't have those type of checks and balances. You

(01:36:04):
can't trust other coaches if they're gonna rat yet like that.

Speaker 4 (01:36:08):
That's not the way the system works. That's not a
good system. Chris.

Speaker 5 (01:36:12):
Why not? Why?

Speaker 3 (01:36:14):
Why is it not good to have checks and balances
where if somebody comes to you looking for more money
and a deal when they shouldn't. It's like that commercial
where it's like coach balls off me, balls off me
in a lying world. You're being a little bit honest
with what's going on there.

Speaker 2 (01:36:32):
But if you want me to spend it the other way,
I could say, you know, coaches was really about the money.
The reason we were calling around is because I wanted
to get closer to home because it was one of
my family members is feeling ill, and I think it's
better for me to get back. I didn't want to
say anything to you till I found out if there's
somebody that interested me, you know, I could say something

(01:36:52):
like that and make everybody feel bad for ratting me
out at that point.

Speaker 3 (01:36:56):
Well, but in that same vein, if that was the
difference and the issue, I think you get that out
in front early that you're looking at it closer.

Speaker 2 (01:37:05):
Some people don't the handle every situation right. Maybe and
you're right about that. Maybe he just handled it the
wrong way, or maybe just coming up with an excuse
whatever it may be. Chris, you know, I don't think
you could write out a kid. You know, if he
wants to improve his lot in life, whether he's asking
for more money, or he wants to move closer to home,
or maybe he just wants to play for a different team.

Speaker 5 (01:37:26):
It's really yes, you absolutely can.

Speaker 3 (01:37:28):
If you're paying him two million dollars and someone else
sees it and they think it's a BS, you absolutely
can rat their ass out. What are you talking about
right now?

Speaker 4 (01:37:37):
Man?

Speaker 3 (01:37:37):
You just they go, You've got a dude that's allegedly
under contract and he's out shopping himself illegally, which you're
not supposed to do unless you're in the portal or
a graduate, and he's not a graduate. And you're telling
me no or not, you don't rat that out. You don't,
you don't bring that up. Maybe you've let to continue
to go unfettered.

Speaker 2 (01:37:55):
Well, because I had a bad situation that I had
to deal with will Ahead when my son was in college.
I had a coach and I knew the coach, and
I called up the school and it was a chance
from the play for a pretty major school.

Speaker 4 (01:38:11):
And one of the coaches called up his coach.

Speaker 2 (01:38:13):
And saying, why is your goalies dad shopping him around?
And I'm like, well, first of all, it's a better
school academically. Two it's closer to home, okay, And three
it's none of your damn business if I want my
kid to be in a better situation scholarship, No.

Speaker 4 (01:38:29):
He wasn't under scholarship. That No, he wasn't not under scholarship.

Speaker 3 (01:38:34):
Well, I'm just saying, so, you're you're basically just like
Nikkiyama Imaliava. You're basically big nick man. You're out shopping
your kid out for a better deal before he's in
the portal, when he's not even supposed.

Speaker 5 (01:38:45):
To do that.

Speaker 4 (01:38:46):
I was doing it because I wanted him to.

Speaker 5 (01:38:48):
I know you did.

Speaker 4 (01:38:49):
But you're just as one of these.

Speaker 2 (01:38:50):
Dads, not really because there was no money involved. It
was just to put him in a better chance.

Speaker 3 (01:38:55):
To you, what is a better chance? Ball you're LeVar
ball man. Yeah, that's that's right. You're out making these
You risked his eligibility.

Speaker 2 (01:39:03):
I was Todd Morenovitch before Todd Morenovy or not Todd
marvnov Mark.

Speaker 3 (01:39:07):
I'm just saying, I mean, like these types of things,
and the thing that sucks is they'd probably make the
example of like the hockey player, and they would never
do anything to the football player, poor Shay, you'd probably
end up losing eligibility.

Speaker 5 (01:39:18):
But I understand what you're saying.

Speaker 4 (01:39:20):
But again it's it's.

Speaker 5 (01:39:22):
Still something that is not perfected yet.

Speaker 3 (01:39:25):
In the national all right, excuse me, in the college
football the college sports world. You know, these these kids
have agents now, but they're not really agents. They're guys like, well,
could you imagine if well it's no idea how to
be an agent, Chris, if you could you imagine if
you wanted to apply for a job and then that
boss of that job called up our Boston said.

Speaker 2 (01:39:43):
Why is your weekend guys shopping himself around for a
Monday through Friday gig or a weekend gig or something
like that probably.

Speaker 5 (01:39:52):
Put him down as a reference.

Speaker 3 (01:39:53):
I mean to be honest with you, if I was
going for a Monday Friday job, I mean I probably would.
And an are you trying to say that you don't
think that this is snakeish behavior to do something like
that when you're making two point five million dollars?

Speaker 4 (01:40:10):
You're making two point five Yeah, he wanted more money.
It was a bad look. Okay. It wasn't like the
kid was on the phone with the coach asking for
more money. It was a representatives. It was his dad.
His dad. Yeah, so you know, maybe he trusted his
dad too much and he screwed up that The newly
mistake he made is you know, probably getting bad advice.

(01:40:30):
That doesn't make him a bad kid.

Speaker 3 (01:40:33):
I think you're expecting him to transfer to Arizona next year.
I think that's what you're That's what I hear coming
out of your mouth, right Yeah, yeah, but I'm with
Listen back to the original point. I'm with you one
hundred percent. That's the way you're never gonna win back
Tennessee fans. You're public enemy number one. They're never gonna
like you. Just let that go, right, Kevin Durant's never
gonna be loved in Oklahoma City, nico Iamailey obvious, never

(01:40:54):
gonna be loved in Tennessee, but everywhere else could rot
for you, because that's what we love.

Speaker 4 (01:40:58):
All Right.

Speaker 5 (01:40:59):
We got a break.

don't know Game two, or whether it be Game five
or maybe a Game seven.

Speaker 2 (01:42:42):
No games, no, gay, I got the Midican Republic coming
up in about four weeks. That's you know, I gotta
worry about traveling there now. That's all big good thing there.

Speaker 5 (01:42:53):
So no big plans to go. By the way games, Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:42:57):
I'll wait till the next round.

Speaker 2 (01:42:58):
They're gonna go ahead and win the first on pretty easily,
and then they'll take on Boston.

Speaker 4 (01:43:03):
So I'll go to some of those games.

Speaker 3 (01:43:05):
You won't go to any of them, but I will
be happy to hear you talk about would you be
more likely to go to Boston to see him or
go to Madison Square.

Speaker 4 (01:43:14):
No, I don't want to go sit with those people,
which ones I mean, I don't like and I know
so many of them around here in Vermont and they
actually sicken me. So I'd rather go be with the
New Yorkers, my own kind of people.

Speaker 5 (01:43:29):
We'll get you all right.

Speaker 3 (01:43:30):
Well, I kind of like going to a place where
you beat them on the road, and then that way
you kind of get a chance to stick it to
him if you will.

Speaker 4 (01:43:40):
No, it was all end up getting into a fight
or something. I can't keep my mouth shut.

Speaker 5 (01:43:44):
I think you're past that age where people are gonna know.

Speaker 2 (01:43:46):
Oh no, no, no, I'm not past that age, believe me.

Speaker 3 (01:43:51):
So you're hold on a second, hold on a second
before we get the Sagaine here. Yeah, you're telling me
that you would still put yourself in a position at
a sporting event, when you've seen all these videos of
the fights that happened, you would still put yourself in
the position to end up getting in a five.

Speaker 2 (01:44:09):
Maybe accidentally, maybe because I would say something that I
would think was funny that the Celtic fans wouldn't think
were funny.

Speaker 4 (01:44:18):
After losing by a point with one second left on
the clock, something like that, they wouldn't think that was funny.

Speaker 5 (01:44:25):
Probably not.

Speaker 3 (01:44:26):
Well, We've got a lot of tweets we need to
catch up on, so before we do that, for one
final time, tonight, our man Steve the Seger is in
the house to put a cap on a wild day
of sports.

Speaker 5 (01:44:35):
What's going on, Steve.

Speaker 6 (01:44:36):
We'll get to the playoff action in a moment in
case you're in here. Former Tennessee Balls quarterback Nico Iamalaiava
did announce his transfer to UCLA. He is from near
Long Beach, not that far south from UCLA. Justin Thomas
was the golf winner in a playoff. NASCAR's Cup series
was off for Easter. It'll be on Fox TV next Sunday.
And I must mention the US women's hockey team won

(01:44:58):
the World Championships today Canada in overtime, four to three.
This was at a tournament in the Czech Republic. The
Women's Worlds on the ice started in nineteen ninety. The
final has always been the US against Canada, except once
in twenty nineteen.

Speaker 4 (01:45:12):
Did you see the final goal, by the way? Did not?

Speaker 2 (01:45:15):
The Canadians had the puck behind their own goal and
one girl went around and pick it up. They just
stood there for a minute, kind of getting everything set up,
and they stood there and then another person fake getting
the puck, and another person faked getting the puck, and
I'm not kidding around, and they literally stood there for
about twenty to thirty seconds.

Speaker 4 (01:45:36):
Then they got everybody on the ice that they.

Speaker 2 (01:45:38):
Wanted, and once you went the pass, they got picked
off in their own zone.

Speaker 4 (01:45:42):
And that's how we scored. Put it right back in there.
Half shades of Edmonton many years ago.

Speaker 6 (01:45:47):
Unbelievable, Canada had won the first straight eight straight World titles.
Last year's final was in New York, when the Canadians
beat the US in overtime.

Speaker 4 (01:45:55):
US beat Canada in overtime. Today.

Speaker 6 (01:45:57):
The Winter Olympics are next February in Milan. NHL playoffs

third was eighty to thirty. Six it wound up the
largest game one win in the history of the. Playoffs
one thirty one to eighty is the. Final maybe eventually
you'll respect him and watch.

Speaker 4 (01:47:04):
Him. Arnie maybe sounds like. It maybe it sounds like
a women's college basketball. S, actually that literally is what
that reminded me of. Today it's, like this is the
early tournament games and women's.

Speaker 5 (01:47:14):
Hoops all let it get Beat. Fairfield that's.

Speaker 6 (01:47:17):

And changed to a.

Speaker 8 (01:49:15):
Hit.

Speaker 6 (01:49:15):
Ridiculous the pitcher, didn't of course realize that at the.
Time he didn't hear the press box. Announcement, oh by the,
way that that play a couple of minutes. Ago i've
looked at it many times, now and you know the
battle was anyway it, was but it's just odd timing
on the. Thing freed wound up pitching into the eighth
