(01:04):
here's here's my bracket. Um, okay, a lot, there's a lot,
a lot to get to let let's start with the
most recent report. So Trey Wingo okay, formerly of ESPN,
is reporting that it is done. Aaron Rodgers is going

(01:26):
to the Jets, is going to the Jets, and it
is weird, weird. Now, look, this is Wingoes tweet hearing
Rodgers the Jets is done. History about repeats itself in
New York and Green Bay time. Indeed is a flat circle.
That was it. So that's not a report at all

(01:47):
of Um, that's not a report in any way. UM
that makes it official. But this is a fascinating thing.
This is a completely an utter fascinating thing. So the
idea that Aaron Rodgers, who is so different, so different

(02:13):
in so many ways from at Farve in many ways,
is following the same Brett Farve pattern, not just in
going to the Jets, but in retiring and retiring or whatever,
going back and forth about it. Then you factor in
Mark Murphy, the president of the team, and what he
said over the weekend. This is an amazing thing, an

(02:34):
amazing thing, and it's not normally handled this way. But again,
I don't I don't know how you could be completely
and utterly dishonest Mark Murphy over the weekend simply said
talked about in past tense. Right, we'll get to that
one second. Be sure to join Fox Sports Radio's Million

the weekend, Mark murphew was interviewed by a by a

(04:03):
local reporter and his quotes were incredibly telling. Yeah, of course,
Mark Murphy is a guy who was a great player
in his own rights, won a Super Bowl, then became
an athletic director at Colgate, then was the athletic director Northwestern,
and then he took over the Green Bay Packers and
he's already announced the twenty twenty five he's going to

(04:24):
leave and he's going to retire. So really well respected dude.
And he wasn't being glib. He was just kind of
being a matter of fact. And he just talked about
Aaron Rodgers in past tense and and it was very
matter of fact. He's Brett was a great player. Here,
Aaron's a great player, is going to be in the
Hall of Fame, you know where he's gonna be recognized here,

(04:46):
we're going to retire his number, right, But it was
it was all past tense. And it's interesting because this
this is Take a listen to Mark Murphy over the weekend. Yeah,
is retirement still an option for him? Yeah? I think so.

(05:07):
You know, he's got a lot of years, a lot
of wear and tear, and it's a lot to go
through getting ready for a season in the season, but
he's a competitor too, and I know he wants to
keep playing. If now all things considered, is there a
scenario where Aaron is still the starting quarterback of the
Packers next season? Yeah, I mean, unless if things don't
work out the way we would want him. Yeah, But

(05:27):
you know, I think it's trying to find what he
wants and what we want and hopefully we can find
a win win situation. Isn't it amazing? I mean, he
just told you literally everything, without telling you everything. You know. Yeah, look,
he could come if we can't get this is basically
their leverages. We can't get a deal done, then we'll
just keep them in wholl be our starting quarterback. But
it's not what we want. There to the point where

(05:51):
they want him to play for the Jets. And I'll
give credit to Andrew Britt because I didn't read the
contract the way that he did. He read the contract
as this contract was designed for him to be traded
this year, not play this year, and that appears to
be what's gonna happen. Let me ask Dan Buyer. Dan

(06:12):
of course is a native of Wisconsin, not a Packer fan.
But you've covered at a national sports level Aaron's entire career.
When you heard that interview, what do you think? Well,
I thought, when I was covering girls state basketball, why
didn't I get an interview like that in Wisconsin? That's
what my first thought was. Second, so I'll get paint

(06:34):
the picture. So the girls state tournament is at the
arena that's right next door to lambeau Field. So that
was I think Friday night. I think it was THEE
think I think it was Friday night, maybe Saturday night.
He went to the game and the local reporter grabbed him,
and I mean, can you imagine being a local report
and all of a sudden you get Mark Burfey and
he started to sure Gold absolutely cold. So then I

(06:59):
removed myself from the situation. Doug Um and I did
think that it was surprising. I wasn't shocked because Mark
Murphy has said stuff before that it seemed to be
Um pretty blunt when it came to things. But to
basically say, if you know, if we have our way
or want our away, he won't be back. Uh. That

(07:23):
was that was a bit jarring because you just don't
hear it even from someone who does you know, no
one does that. Yeah, no one does that. Like like
Steve Spurrier is the only guy that could unite you
get the Spurrier zone me. Wow, hell, you know, hey,
we like playing Georgian first Game of Gear. They always
have some guys suspended, right like whoa, you can't say
it like, well he can't Murphy, I guess can Spurrier

(07:44):
World do it almost in a needling way or you know,
like knowing like he's finding the loophole or the crack.
This was just flat out being like, yeah, I suppose
there's a scenario if we don't get what we want,
then you'd be back here, Like that's that's pretty crazy. Well,
when he said we want was really really interesting. That
was probably the two most interesting words right because there

(08:05):
was you know, I mean, he's still a competitor, he
could still retire. I mean he basically said a basis said.
He said, we're trading him unless they unless the deal
is awful. We want him gone, we want something to return.
We want to start Jordan love, you know. And then
the more you research, the more you think about it,

(08:26):
that's what happens with most of these guys, I mean
the ones that didn't happen to dam Now Dan Marino.
They hung on too and maybe a bit too long.
Remember that disastrous playoff loss to the Jaguars. What was
it a million to nothing or just felt that way?
Sixty two seven? Sixty two seven? Okay, he hung on

(08:48):
too long. Joe Montana went to the Chiefs. Johnny Unitis
was as a charger, right and he was. He was
a charger at the end. Obviously Tom Brady is a
tampay buccaneer at the end, like you go through. Troy
Aikman didn't, but that's because Troy Aikman got hurt, so
his career was cut cut short. Those guys they love
the money they make, the attention they get and and

(09:11):
playing being a starting quarterback and they don't care. And
you have to manage it, manage your roster. And I
just think that Aaron became unmanageable and it just it was.
It was one of those where last year that they
probably you think they probably kicked themselves in many ways
for letting it go on for one more year. On
the other hand, if last year he would have forced

(09:33):
a trade. You would have had lots of people that
would call them idiots. How can you trade him? How
can you do this? Now? I think everybody knows. Hey, man,
it's just time. It's just time. It's just not he's
not coming off a great year. Jordan Love looked like
he could actually play the position as opposed to previously couldn't.
It's not like he did wrong by him. He gave

(09:55):
a new contract. You got a bunch of money up front.
Like if if anything, I think Aaron lost more from
last year when the Packers gained more. Is that fair? Dan? Yeah,
I definitely think Rogers lost because I think that there's
and they didn't make the playoffs. You know, they hacked
out a game on Sunday night football must win and

(10:15):
you're in, and they didn't win. Yeah, I think that
he lost quite a bit. Here's I mean. I looked
at the last game of the year. They're playing the
Lions for a trip to the playoffs. He lost. He
didn't play particularly well, all right, that's it. He didn't
play particularly well. And it's interesting on how I mean

(10:38):
Brett Farves last game of the Packers, he didn't play well,
but it was the NFC Championship game against the Giants.
This is the Lions Week eighteen at home, and he
wasn't good and the Biden language was as bad or
worse than ever. Here's Mark Murphy when he was asked
about Jordan Love. Does this Packers organization believe that Jordan's

(10:59):
Love could be the face of the franchise, the future,
the starting QB for this team. Yeah, we have a
lot of confidence on him. We drafted him and developed him.
A lot of credit goes to our coaches, you know,
and and to Jordan. No, but we do think he's ready.
There you go. We we drafted his replacement. We got

(11:19):
him ready. We think he's now ready. Everybody knows that
the Aaron Rodgers relationship has run its course and we're
ready to move on. We're ready to move on. Oh yeah,
oh yeah. By the way, to the Bob McGinn and
the Tyler Dunne. You were right, you were right, we
were gonna say there. The other thing that's amazing is
if you noticed, it wasn't one, but it was two

(11:42):
separate interviews that he did. So it wasn't just a
matter of oh, I just talked to this guy and
he and I said this, Yeah, gotch interview was Yeah,
like affiliate CBS Fox, you know, I mean, where's ABC
at we did their affiliate over here? We didn't. Yeah,
like multiple interviews and all nothing back. And I'll tell
you like they've done a good job of holding their tongue.

(12:03):
But just imagine, remember I said it before when he
was at he was at Lake Tahoe and Raiders fans
who were cheering from He's like a lot of silver
and black, a lot of silver and black. Like he
never he's never said I'm a Green Bay Packer. I'm
a Green Bay Packer. And you may you may think, hey,
that's just sports, that's just life. It's twenty twenty three.

(12:24):
You know they want to trade him that they're they're ready, Yes, Okay,
Aaron Rodgers is rich beyond any any comprehensible thought of
being able to spend every penny. You've got generational wealth,
and most of it is from the Green Bay Packers

(12:45):
and the other parts are from playing quarterback for the
Green Bay Packers. He's great. He may have been great elsewhere,
he may not have, but he is great, and he's
rich beyond all belief. And I think I'm sure on
some level, whether it's appearing on Pat McAfee or you
know the things he said in the interviews he did

(13:06):
at Lake Tahoe. But the Packers, that was Mark Murphy like,
we're gonna get our side out. We want people to
know how we really feel. And he was able to
do it in a way in which it didn't feel
mean spirited. It didn't feel like he was being defensive
or trying to come back at Aaron Rodgers. It was
just very matter of fact and to be totally honest,

(13:26):
like that's the way to handle it. That's the way
to handle it. Tell me what you think. At Gottlieb
Show is the Twitter handle and the IG handle, and
of course you can also send us a note on
the Facebook show page. That's the Doug Gotlip Show Facebook page.

Gottlieb Show weekdays at three pm Easter noon Pacific on

(13:49):
Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app. So j STU
stop me if you've heard this. Four. But the La
Chargers have a running back who wants a lot of
money for a this is I think his third contract,
but a big money contract, and the Chargers are balking

(14:11):
at a long term, big money contract to the running back.
Where have I heard this before? Yeah? I think the
difference is that Melvin Gordon was over his skis asking
for way too much, and his talent didn't equal his demand.
I mean, I think if you're going to do overvalue
one running back, it would be Austin Equak. And I
know the Chargers kind of have this functioning working thing

(14:33):
where they don't overpay running backs. But he's more than
a running back. He's like ninety percent of the offense
for the Chargers. I think they should look at him
differently than a running back. Well, look, I think they
absolutely want him back. Okay, they want him back, and
he scheduled to make six point two five million dollars
in his contract, so he wants to ask to be traded.

(14:58):
They're under no pressure to fulfill that request, you know,
no pressure at all. And I'm with you. I think
he wants a lot of money, and for running backs,
you gotta get it while the getting is good, because
because there's the feeling that you age really quickly with
the amount of physical contact you take. I just he's

(15:20):
twenty seven years old. He wants that new deal and obviously,
you know, these are the working years before you get
to thirty. I just I don't see them acquiescing and
allowing him to allowing him to seek a trade, you know,
because whoever he's traded to, that's who's going to have
to give him a big, big deal. He did play

(15:43):
all seventeen games this year. He played sixteen to seventeen.
The year before year before that, he only played ten.
So he's been relatively healthy. He's a health and fitness nut.
If there's one guy who I would you know, as
a running back who I think will be able to
be productive into the thirties, it would be Austin Eckler.
But there's it's like anything else, there's just a limit
to what we're gonna pay for your position, you know,

(16:05):
and we had to be smart about like I mean,
even um Christian McCaffrey, he was far younger. He hadn't
missed a game his first three years in the NFL.
He got a huge deal and he barely played because
he's hurt all the time. So I don't know what
the differences in the two numbers. I do know that
he wants a really healthy increase. I've only been told

(16:26):
this is a Melvin Gordon like situation where he's asking
for way too much money and they're not even flinching.
They're not even flinching. That read out of the way
because I got stuff to do with with Randy Mueller. Randy's,
of course, the former Executive of the Year was the
GM of the Chargers, should be the Saints, and the
Dolphins currently the GM of the Seattle Sea Dragons of

(16:48):
the x f L. All Right, Randy, let's let's start
with Lamar Jackson. I did Cowhard show, I did my
show last week. I've offered up my thoughts on it,
but without polluting the water. You and I haven't discussed this, Okay,
As a guy who's been at a GM in this league,

(17:09):
why do you believe so many teams have offered up
to whoever they're beat writer or reporter and these national
guys that they're currently not interested in Lamar Jackson. Well,
it's a great question. I think it's very convoluted and complicated.
Like you've pointed out. I think the first thing that
I thought of when I heard the Ravens we're going
to take this stance, which I have no problem with.

(17:31):
In fact, I agree with what they're doing. Was that
I hope Lamar hires an agent. That was the first
thing that came to my mind. I think it's one
thing to negotiate with your own employer over the last
four or five years, there's some trust, there's a lot
of open relationships. But I think it's totally different waters
to negotiate with four or five teams on multiple levels

(17:52):
and people you don't know. I just I find that.
I think his advice he's getting from the union is
one thing that's great, but they're going to be interested
in what's best for the union and the rank and
file that follow it. I just think Lamar's case, he
needs somebody looking out for him in all these waters.
And it's not that he can't negotiate his own contract.

(18:13):
It's just that I would want a confident to bounce
everything off of, and probably a steadier voice who's done
this more times than me. And so that part I
struggle with. I think a lot of teams are going
to pump the brakes when it comes to making a
deal like this. I mean, let's say I was a
gem for another team, what do I do call Lamar?
I mean that communication is going to be awkward to

(18:36):
start with, and I think we've all seen and he's
made I think, fairly public what his demands are. And
there's just a lot of teams dog that don't want
to go down that fully guaranteed road. So I think
it's it's tough. It'll be a hard sell for him
to get that if that's the hill he wants to
stand on, and I think the Ravens know that, and
that's probably why they're taking this route. What do you

(18:58):
think happens. I think he ends up going back to Baltimore,
I really do. I think they'll be happy to have
him back. I don't think that bridge has been burned.
I think they've been very loyal and upfront with him.
Let's face it, they don't have any other options either.
So if they were looking to replace him or to
go a different direction, they would have some options. I
think that would be evident. They have not done that,

(19:21):
so I think their loyalty to Lamar is sincere, and
I think John Harbaugh has made that clear. So I
think at the end of the day he comes back there.
I don't know whether that will get him in camp
on time. My guess is he'll still hold out, but
I would hope that at some point he wants to
get paid, and he's going to have to come in
and play to get paid. So that's the bottom line.

(19:43):
Do you think any of these quarterbacks, Burrow an extension,
Herbert an extension, Lamar, do any of them get the
five year, fully guaranteed deal. Well, I don't think it's
going to be that important to Herbert. I don't think
it'll be that important to Burrow. They know they're going
to be there, they will take I think the guaranteed
money will be so great Doug that it really doesn't matter.

(20:05):
So why are we fighting the war of a fully
guaranteed deal when it's maybe not in my own singular
best interest. I'm going to make the best deal I
can for me, and that doesn't mean I'm going to
solve world peace, but I can solve peace for my
little corner of the world, and I think those guys
will do that. So I don't think it's going to
come down to that. I think the guaranteed deal that

(20:27):
Lamar seeks, if it's true what we read, is kind
of pie in the sky right now, and if he
wants that, he's going to have to play this game
for another year or two with the Ravens on one
year franchise tag deals to become free. That's, let's face it,
that's the reason that Shaun Watson got what he got
because he was really free to go anywhere because of
the no trade clause. So that maybe another angle that

(20:50):
he plays down the road. But I just don't think
the fully guaranteed thing is going to happen right now.
Randy Mueller joining US former executive of the Year of
the Nation Football Leagues doug Out Live show on Fox
Sports Radio, podcasting Life from the from the TAIRAC dot
com studios. Renny, let me ask you about Aaron Rodgers.
I can't remember anyone being as fourth right and open

(21:13):
as Mark Murphy was. But also, in kind of a
matter of fact way, multiple interviews, two interviews with different reporters,
talked about past tense. Actually said, you know, if we
get what we want, like Aaron Rodgers wouldn't be back,
but there's still a path to him being back as quarterback.
What did you hear when Mark Murphy spoke on Friday

(21:35):
night in Green Bay. I think I heard a similar
tone than what you're referring to. I think he's got
to leave a little crack in case Aaron is being
Aaron and wants to come back. They're not going to
turn their back on him, but they all parties involved
are probably looking to move on. I think the past
tense reference is probably true. I think the Packers, at

(21:58):
the end of the day, Doug are tired of being
held hostage themselves. And I know they were part of
the problem because they made this deal with him a
year ago. But he holds all the cards and he's
making sure we all know that. And I think that's
probably the number one thing that gets him out of
Green Bay is that they want to be able to
plan to build their team, and right now they can't

(22:19):
plan anything until the Aaron Rodgers stuff is out above
the table and not blow it. So, Jordan Love, how
convince you that he can play? I think we've all
seen the flashes of what they saw. Time will tell
if he develops. You cannot play the same in practice

(22:41):
every day and have that be the answers when the
lights are brightest on game day. But I'll say this,
they know him better than us. They do see him
every day. But I don't think they would do this
if they weren't fairly comfort with him, just because we
all haven't seen it with our eyes. I'm trusting that
Brian Goutikus, that you know the staff, that all the
people there feel really good about this. I don't think

(23:03):
they would do it unless they did. But again, playing
games changes everybody. Do we know if he can play
weekend and week out, take the beating, physically, do all
the other things. No, we don't know that, so there
is some risk involved. But I think they feel good
about the skill set where he's at mentally, how he
handles and understands the offense, how he processes the information.

(23:25):
They feel good about that, But they're still going to
be a little bit of unknown even for them, no
question about it. What do you think about Garoppolo as
Stidham as the backup? And it's not just Garoppolo. His
deal is only thirty seven million guaranteed. So it feels
like the Raiders, who everyone I know thought they were
getting Tom Brady, they end up getting the old next

(23:47):
Tom Brady and they keep Stidham, so you get that familiarity.
Do you like the Las Vegas Raiders plan? Well, I
think it works for them. I don't think there's a
lot of options, and again it comes down to all
these deals that you see happening are all about options,
and these options have all been worked out the last
two or three weeks between clubs and agents. Obviously, Jimmy

(24:07):
G knows what they're doing offensively, and they know him well.
I don't think Jimmy G at this point is the
answer anywhere else. I think it's a good fit for them.
I know they like Stidham a lot, so this is
probably the best they can do and gives them a
chance going forward. I don't think Jimmy's their long term
because I think they feel pretty good about Stidham. Actually,

(24:29):
you know what I mean? Correct myself. I guess Stidham
I misread it. He signed a two year deal with
the Broncos to be their backup. So so so that
means does that contract mean you think they draft somebody
to ultimately their place Garoppolo? Is that what way you
think with that money considering where Garoppolo is? Yeah, I
think the plan they have now is for Jimmy G

(24:49):
to be a bridge to wherever they're going, whether that
was going to be to Stidham or whether it's a
draftable guy. I still think Jimmy G will be the guy,
but I don't think in your I think you're in
saying that there's a long term deal. His deal, Jimmy
Jess is a three year just under seventy million dollars
thirty four million guarantees. That's a one or two year
deal in this quarterback market. So I don't think it

(25:11):
solved their problems long term. U. So yeah, I think
I think the Raiders. I don't know. You tell me,
is Jimmy G better than Car at this point? I
don't know about that. So this sounds like it might
be a little spinning of a wheel. But it's our
guy and a lot of new faces that take over teams.
New decision makers want their guy, and so Jimmy's their guy,

(25:34):
Derek Carr's not. It might be as simple as that. Yeah,
I mean Car made a lot more money. I'm not
a huge Car guy. I think a lot of his
flaws people have overlooked. But but he does have a
he has a lot of fans in the league, so
so so we shall see Randy Mueller joining us, former
GM of the Saints and the Dolphins. UM, what is
your reaction to the Bears trading the number one overall

(25:57):
pick well before the draft, but it feels like Ryan
Poles did really, really well. But again we're outsiders, you're
an insider. What do you think of the trade? First?
From the Bears perspective, Well, I think the Bears are
in a different building process at a different point than
maybe some of these other teams are. They feel like

(26:18):
they have their quarterback, they need quantity of chips to play,
and by moving down and not outside the top ten,
I think that was the key for me, is not
moving out of really blue chip players. They stay at nine.
They fill a whole bunch of other needs this year,
next year with the picks they got. I just don't
know that there was going to be a stampede to

(26:38):
get to the top like most experts have predicted. I
don't happen to be a Bryce Young fan, so I'm
not sure Caroline is going up for that. If it's me,
there's one guy worth going up for, it's probably c J.
Stroud from Ohio State, So that's the I would keep
my eye on him. I think he fits the criteria
for what they want to do. He's six three, he's

(27:00):
seventy percent completion guy thrown over eighty touchdowns to very
few interceptions. He just to me, when I study the film,
I see him as an advancement on where they're at
and a guy that could be there for ten years.
All right, why don't you like Bryce Young just because
he's too small? Yeah, I just I don't. I think
there's risk involved with him. I think there's risk involved
with Levis. I think there's risk involved with Richardson. I'm

(27:23):
not picking a guy in the top ten Doug and
saying he's a project or maybe we can get there,
or I have doubts. I don't need any doubts at
that point. I think the one surefire guy is C. J. Strout.
Anthony Richardson is an absolute physical freak. Right sixty three
six four, two hundred thirty pounds, runs a four four
four and jumps forty inches. And on the other hand,

(27:47):
he can throw it a mile. I don't know if
he can throw it too where he wants. And you
know they lead the world in drops. But is that
because he doesn't have any touch How hard is that
adjustment going to be? Oh, it's going to be a
giant adjustment. It's also going to be a speed of
play adjustment. I just think it's a total different animal.
And I've heard some of the experts say, well, you

(28:09):
can't afford not to take a chance on Richardson. I
could be honest with you. I don't think you can
afford to take a chance on a guy like that
with the first pick. And I see the upside, I
get it, but that is the project for me that
I couldn't consider. He's just not advanced enough as a
pocket passer to play in the NFL at this stage.
And I think the accuracy is a problem right now. Yeah,

(28:31):
maybe he'll improve on it. Everybody says, well, Josh Allen
wasn't accurate. I think totally different. I think Josh Allen,
you knew was going to be a passer at some point.
This kid's more of a thrower, and I think time
will make him better. I just couldn't risk taking something
like that in the top half of the first round.
What are you making the Rams and Stafford like, they
can't trade him. It's a gigantic dead gap. They got

(28:55):
to kind of keep him. But clearly they're they're just
a mess in terms of their overall roster depth. They're
just top heavy and top heavy with older players. What
do you make of what's going on in LA Well,
I think it's been you know, that has been an
issue from when they started to redo contracts and give
away a lot of future draft picks. I think this

(29:16):
was gonna come reckoning day at some point, and it's
here now. I think what I was afraid of was
that the coach was going to walk away too and
leave less need with a bag that wasn't very pretty.
At least Sean McVeigh is saying he's going to stick around,
so he's going to be part of the solution. But
we knew this was going to the price would have
to be paid for the moves that they've made. I

(29:37):
think the thing that goes under the radar is that
they've done a pretty good job of drafting. Now they've
used mid round the late round picks to do it.
You just can't make a living on those guys. The
impact players won't be there. So they spent money on
the impact players. They spent draft capital on getting impact players,
and now they're having to restructure the whole, their whole roster. Really,

(29:59):
I think they're themselves up. They have I don't want
to say, a tanking year, but a down here in
twenty three and a re emergence in twenty four. That's
what I see, Rainy, Thanks so much for joining us.
I really really appreciate it. Incredible insight and best of
luck to you in the Seattle Sea Dragons. Thank Doug. Anytime,

Gottlieb Show, Fox Sports Radio. Let's get to a game.
Let's get to a game. This is game time side.
I'm the Doug gottlip Hey cab Doctory Progressive Insurance, Progressive Masuddling,

(30:42):
Easy Affordable, got a multipolicy discount by cominding your motorcycle,
RVA TV and more. All your protection, One Place, Buddle
and Safe, Progressive dot Com. Bye. What's the game today, Doug?
The game is little deal, no deal. All right, let's
start out with some tournament stuff. Big deal, little deal
and no deal. Let North Carolina refused a bid to
the n I. Honestly, it's a big deal today. It's

(31:02):
it's a little deal. In the In the landscape of
college basketball, there have been lots of teams that have
turned down and an I birth in the past. The
issue is it's Carolina and this group is a preseason
number one, and you know, like you're really gonna go
out like that. I don't. I've never understood that turning

(31:24):
down the chance to play more basketball, you know. And
for North Carolina, if they don't at those if they're
top guys don't want to play. No one knows how
good their benches make. It like a bowl game, play
their bench. But this has happened before, it'll happen again.
Certain teams that when they're done, they're done, and North
Carolina clearly is done. Big deal, little dealer, no deal.

(31:45):
That Houston was selected as the number two overall seed
in the bracket, it feels like a big deal just
because Kansas is monstrous record of Quad one wins. But
I think people are making a big deal about, Hey,
Kansas doesn't get to play in Kansas City. Well, here's
the thing. Kansas shouldn't play in Kansas City. That shouldn't happen.

(32:05):
It's an NCA term. You should play in a neutral site.
And oh yeah, by the way, Kansas fans probably pretty psyched,
right It's the first time ever the tournaments in Vegas,
and you get to go to Vegas if you win
two games, So like I can go. If I'm a
Kansas fan, I live in the area, I can go
to the P and L District, the Power Light District

(32:26):
any weekend I want, but go to Vegas to watch
the watch the Jayhawks play. This is the first time
ever no one picks Kansas City over Vegas for a weekend?
Do they actually good? For Ku? Doug? Big deal, little
deal and no deal. At Duke was only a five
seed after winning the ACC Tournament. I feel like that's
a big deal, you know, and we're so used to

(32:49):
it being the other way around, where Duke gets a
one seed and they don't deserve it, you know. I
do think there's something to not having Mike Zevsky and
Mike chek Is the coach. They are no lower than
a three seed, maybe a two, and likely playing in Greensboro,
but instead they go to Orlando. All right, big deal,
a little deal and no deal. That Chris Beard is
the new men's basketball coach at Old Mess, Well, it's

(33:12):
a big deal because of his success, but also a
big deal because of what he was accused of and
what he was fired at the University of Texas and
the team that he built and the team that he left,
and they just won the Big Twelve. It's a big deal.
I make no like, no mistaken it. Chris is a
friend of mine. I just because I'm a friend, I

(33:32):
don't want to believe I don't think he has what
he was accused of in him. The charges were dropped,
that's all we can go by. And he's a great
basketball coach, and I you know, obviously no one wants
to support anybody who has been accused of domestic violence
in the past. I'm just gonna take it as false

(33:54):
accusations because he's my friend, because I've never seen that
at that side of him. But it's a big deal
because this is very on brand for Ole Miss. They
have Lane Kiffin in football, now they have Chris Beard
and basketball. Two guys have competed at the very top
of the profession and for two very different reasons. Needed
image rehap big deal, little deal or no deal. Doug

(34:16):
that reports out of Green Bay say that UWGB has
narrowed their choices down to five candidates to be their
next men's basketball coach. It feels like a big deal.
It's like a really big deal because you know Green
Bay is looking for a big story not named Aaron Rodgers.
It's like a big deal speaking of which big deal,

(34:37):
little deal or no deal that Aaron Rodgers still hasn't
made up his mind. Maybe he has, but we have
nothing official yet. It's not a big little dealer no deal.
I think it's no deal. I think you're just waiting
for the for the for the very right agreement, eyes
to get dotted, teas to get cross. No deal. This

(34:59):
reminds me of when my wife tells me that she'll
be ready in thirty minutes, just like Karon Rodgers says, no,
the decisions coming sooner rather than later. And then two
and a half hours later we finally get to leave,
finally dug big deal, little deal or no deal. That
OBJ reportedly looked great in his private individual workout a

(35:19):
few days ago, No big deal, Yeah, no, no big deal.
I mean, you know I've heard I do think he
looked really, really athletic, and it had all that we
talked about it when I hosted Coward. All the things
that we thought we'd see we saw. But I mean

(35:40):
it's one on grass. No big deal. He ain't getting
that twenty million dollars he wants. That's for sure. It's
