(03:17):
deep breath, come off my Mets Phillies High.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
You don't have to celebrate it, enjoy it. Why you can.
It's a long season.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Yeah, because you know your team's gonna get hot and cold.
It's just how it is. No doubt there'll be a
time with the Mets loose seven in or I'm sure so,
oh really, that's why you should enjoy it. I meant
that I want to ask you a question a little
off the sports grid for a second, but not really sure,
and then I want people to start thinking about this.
Let's give props. We're calling it early season props. Plus

(03:46):
Rich has a theory about what does the beginning of
the season really mean as far as MLB as the
NBA playoffs heating up again. I hope you had a
Pacers Thunders Lakers sort of night, you know, baseball.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Did you pull a life stuff Thunders? I don't think
I did, but thanks for pointing it out and interrupting me.
He did.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Very Jersey appreciate thunders. Baseball's poppin'. So who are we
giving props too? Because I got someone I want to nominate,
and we'll go through some of the circus numbers we're
seeing early in the season. But my first question is
it's mildly sports related because they just announced the Golden Bachelor.

(04:26):
There's a new Golden Bachelor and his name is mel Owens.
Former University of Michigan football starter turned la ram in
the eighties, he retired, had an injury, became a lawyer.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
He is a lawyer, and he is now slaying some
old lady. So no that I'm glad you said that.
That's my question.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
If you had the opportunity, if you're a single guy
or divorced, and you had the opportunity to go on
national television and just make out with a bunch of
hot people, but.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
You were criticized.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
The narrative is that so many people hate the moves
you make and who you pick. Would you sign up
if you're mel Owens to be the Golden Bachelor. He's
gonna I mean, he's gonna be just going on all
these cool dates and making out with old hotties.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
I don't think so. Is that what old you would
want to be part of? He could kind of.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Do that in his own way. With all the apps.
There's old Spot, what's the old guy dating app? Is
there an old guy You're probably on that one?

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Right? Is there an old guy dating app?

Speaker 5 (05:28):
What is it?

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Oh? What is it called?

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Oh farmers only, Old farmers only. I don't know old
McDonald's only. Oh, I know what it is.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
Some fish fish, some fish lit near death dot Com.
There's our Time, there's date, my age, there's match. Yes,
they're all senior match, Silver Singles, silver Fox. And he
still has that sweet resume. So he doesn't need to
go on TV unless he wants to pay day and
there's nothing wrong with that either. Is a question rich

(06:00):
really depends on the person. It's like, I'm not that
kind of guy.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
I've said for years if if ABC asked me to
be on Dancing with the Stars, I'd politely decline, even
though it's a nice payday. I'd be like, nah, not
my style, and I don't want to be viewed that way.
I would feel uncomfortable and I would feel u comfortable
doing something like that. So it's a case by case
situation just depends how on who you are and how
you are and a ham like you, I could see

(06:25):
you leaning into that, but not me.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Is he on?

Speaker 2 (06:28):
It's almost over that's another old person dating it. It's
almost it's almost over there, it's almost over. I've fallen
and I can't get up.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Yeah, that's a good one. Fallen.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
That's the very old person app But I asked that
because I just saw the headline that they have a
new Golden Bachelor.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
I think it's cool though, I think it's fun for him.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
I don't watch, and I'm not saying I'm above reality TV,
but my wife and I.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Over the years have watched The Bachelor.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Love is Blind, Danny, You've turned me onto one like
too Hot to Handle, Temptation Island, a lot of these dumbshells, right, Yeah,
and of course our favorite love is Blunde. That is
the one I said it. Yeah, so I my wife
and I will always joke. And my wife's like, you
in your twenties would have loved this because it's just
a bunch of like random, idiotic twenty year old just

(07:13):
making out and hooking up. But then what happens is
you re enter the real world, and it's probably a
shock because imagine you're the Bachelor. Twenty five women, even
if they don't like you, their competitive juices like you.
So all these girls want to make out with you,
they want to go on fantasy dates. You're starting to
put on a pedestal. Yeah, you know, so you're in

(07:33):
a great position of allure. I don't want to say power,
but power too kind of power. But you put his
position that Yo, you're somebody and they need to have you,
and therefore they fall in love with you quicker as
a result. We see it on all these shows. It's crazy.
You had this last bachelor who they claimed was a

(07:54):
professional basketball player, Like he played professional basketball but like
in Europe and here and they you know, you should
just see all these ladies fighting over him like he
was the greatest guy that ever was.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
And listen, I'm sure he could be a great guy.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
My point is, if you are put in the power
position of the Golden or regular bachelor, it's you handing
out roses and all these beautiful women like, please, I
hope he gets me a rose. It's a position you'll
never be in your life again. But the bar, imagine
to go to the bar and every girl at the
bar is like, please dance with me, please buy me

(08:28):
a drink. It's it's a very interesting scenario. And I
just saw that the new Golden Bachelor happens to be
a former football player. Well remember this aside from being
radio tycoons. It says it on our business card and
sports enthusiasts, you know, we're relationship experts.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
It's facts.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
I mean we used to be on Maxim Radio. Rich's
a life coach says it on his business cards.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Life coach.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
We've always said in the world of dating, if you
really want to impress somebody, you take him to places
or you show off where you shine the brightest. Right, So,
if you're in a band, you invite her to your
show because she's gonna look at you in your element,
where you're you're most confident and you're shining the brightest, like,
oh my god, his band's gonna make it. Or you know,

(09:16):
wherever you were the man. If it's at the pool hall,
you take her there and show her you're Minnesota fats.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Whatever it is you do. You're a good dancer, you
go out and dance. She's like, oh may God. He's
like John Travolta, and then she's gonna fall in love
with you. He's like Chris Brown, He's amazing.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
So wherever you shine the brightest, that's where you show
off and you do your thing. It always works. I
just wondered if you ask most grown men. And that's
why these bachelors are put in that position. He's women
are loving them. I'm saying, if you ask most grown men, yeah,
you could be young and be on the Bachelor, or
nowadays there's the Golden Bachelor. So if you're divorced, got
grown kids, or you're just a single guy that's like

(09:56):
fifty sixty seventy. There's dating shows, and I wonder is
that appealing, especially when everyone talks about how lonely they
are and how the dating world is not for every
Every single person I talked to talks about how miserable
the apps are and like, yo, it sounds good at first,
but it sucks. Well, you answer the question, would you
do it? If I was a single guy, I would
love to do it. If you're mel Owens, NFL former

(10:20):
NFL star, would you do something like that? God forbid
your wife. If my wife left left you twenty years
from now. If I think mel Owens is a guy
that played in the NFL, had glory days in the
eighties where.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
He played, you know, on an NFL field, successful lawyer,
sailor and handsome.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
But you don't you don't think there's a They don't
think there's something fun about saying, hey man, this guy's
what's sixty seventy years old, and twenty five attractive older
women are all gonna fight for him.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Rich.

Speaker 6 (10:45):
Would you be willing to follow the show's template though,
and cry once it's down to the final two, cry
on camera and say.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
I just can't decide between the two I fall in love.
There's always the problem with three different way.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Yeah, he tried to get all three women into the uh,
the same fantasy the same fantasy SUITEK.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Can I take all three same night? Please? You can't
do it?

Speaker 2 (11:07):
And it shows them walking off camera, So again, I
just think it's case by case. I don't think i'd
be comfortable in that element because I think you could
do the same in the privacy of your own home
without being judged.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
For whatever it is you're doing on television.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
They're just a thought I figured I throw out there.
But the payday's nice because you know they're not doing
this for free.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
But I don't they're not getting pad a ton.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
But I think after the show's over, those people could
do like appearances and make money. But I think it's
more about just all the You know, if you're okay,
and you could deal with online haters and trolls. You
just get to go to cool places and hook up
with hot women. That's what the bachelor does. It's an odd,

(11:54):
odd three months and it's an accepted thing, which is crazy. Right,
You're getting to date twenty five different women. So props
to mel Owens. He's the athlete of the You know what,
when we do our Express pros Pro the Week, he
wins because he gets to make out with whoever he
was too, twenty five attractive, middle aged older women mel Owens,
Sorry not Luca after his performance last night, mel Owens

(12:14):
for slaying it with the old ladies. So we already
got that coverage. Cross that off. Yeah, Express Pro the
Week mel Owens. Now, I want you to put your
thinking cap on. So question one, is that something you
would do? Hey, if you didn't have your fun as
a young man, I say why not? But again, I
think it depends on your personality type. I don't need

(12:35):
that camera up my nose in a personal moment. Rich
lives for that. I mean, so guy, you're a single guy.
I mean, I know you have a girlfriend, but if
you found yourself single, saying hypothetically, if you were in that.
If you had that opportunity, you'd say no, thanks. I
wouldn't do it. I wouldn't want to do it. So
I ask you this. Your Mets played early today, Yankees

(12:58):
played early today. A lot of early games today. I
hate that random Thursday day off tomorrow. A lot of
teams are off tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
I hate that.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
I hate when you missed the early game, and I
hate when your team's off.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
They like everything. I respect that. I'm just Givin wants
one hundred and eighty. He wants one hundred and eighty games.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
So I caught the tail end of the Yankees game today,
and Judge is just being judge. Can we please just
say once and for all that he might be the
greatest right handed hitter of all time? No, no, dude,
he's four fifteen of all time. He's one of right
handed I said right handed hitters. You know, he hits bombs,

(13:37):
but he's more than just hitting bombs. He's batting four
to fifteen. Now, okay, but Aaron Judges, Aaron Judge. Everybody
talks about Aaron Judge. He's a superstar. He'd be the
number one answer if it wasn't for Shohil Tany as
far as popularity, and he does everything right. He's like
Herman Munster and pinstripes everything he hits, he destroys. He

(13:57):
hits the fly balls to the wall four fifteen. So
forget about the bombs. These are circus numbers. But there's
another guy in the Yankees who's not hitting bombs. But
I'm so impressed by and nobody's talking about it. Okay,
So I want to bring it up. And it's not
about the Yankees. Yankees schmankis who cares about them? Me,

(14:19):
but not everybody, And I get it. So this is
your chance to give early season prompts to whoever it is. Like,
you know, I didn't expect anything from this guy, and man,
he's lighting it up. Or I really like how he plays,
or hey, you know, we haven't heard much about him.
I'm telling you I watch him day and day out,
and he's really impressive. I want to know from your experience.

(14:40):
It's a nationwide show. We're not watching your team every
night the way we're watching our team. We see the highlights.
So who do you want to give early season props to?
And Rich has a theory about early season props ye,
and my nomination is this, and it's not Aaron Judge,
even though he's having a ridiculous start.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Is it a Yankee? It is?

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Well, that's why I'm opening it up to everybody. I'm
supposed to nominate someone else. I don't care about your
Mets or Danny G's Dodgers or our boss's twins. That's
their job. It's an inclusive show. You tell me, I'm
telling you. Let's chop it up. There's a guy who's
been an All Star forever, but I've never seen him
play day in day out.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
That's the difference.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
You know who's good, but when you say him, when
you see him every day, it's different. It's like dating
and girl, Yeah she's great until you live with her.
Then you really see the truth. I'm seeing the truth
about an All Star who's been in the league for
fifteen years.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
I knew he was.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Great, but seeing him hit, I don't think he has
a weakness, at least not yet. So my early season
props goes to a guy that you all know that
I've only experienced for the first time this season, and
his name is Paul Goldschmidt. Paul Goldschmidt, who you probably
look past. His name's kind of corny.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
It doesn't have a ring goal, no batting, not Paul
bron Schmidt, so Paul Goldschmidt. Yeah, but he's just like
an every day he's nothing. There's no flare with him.
That's really it, right, boring. Yeah, he's a boring, boring star.
This guy has no weakness. If you're gonna say his
weakness is power, his power numbers. Power numbers are down

(16:25):
because he has one home run, but they're gonna come.
And that's what the Aggies keeps saying, They're gonna come.
That's just gonna happen. This dude is batting three eighty
three and has thirty three hits, actually thirty six hits
this season already, if I'm not mistaken, if we count
the three today, every time he's up, he does something impressive.
I haven't seen a week at bat or like a
throwaway at bat. You see dudes taking bad swings or

(16:47):
they get caught looking. It's like, what a waste of
an at bat. This guy, first time I remember watching
him day and day out, is so impressive. I gotta
give early season props to a guy who's batting three
eighty three, only second judge, who's at four fifteen, three
eighty three to a guy that they thought was washed.
Paul Goldschmidt still got it. That's my immination again early,

(17:10):
But dude, he's there's still three eighty three thirty three.
I think a couple of guys that deserve props. I
won't start with my team, I'll start with other teams.
Oh you're so great, oh, because I mean, it's very
easy to say a guy in your team, oh, he's
so great, you're the best.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
But the guy on my team would would be a
great answer. Pete A. Lonzo.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
I mean, the guy's lightening it up. He's has more
you know, RBI than anyone. But I don't even look
at Paul Goldschmidt really as a Yankee yet. That dude's
a diamondback. So Arizona or Cardinals, I'm giving you props
to your guy. I always knew he was great, but
to watch him every day is a different story. He
does not throw away in at bat, and he seems

(17:49):
to be a great teammate. He's like no hassles, and
he's a guy that doesn't have a lot of flair
or excitement about him, So I feel it's my to
be like, Yo, what what a guy?

Speaker 1 (18:03):
What a guy?

Speaker 2 (18:04):
I know I'm fifteen years late to the party, but
props to him. He's only second to Judge in the AL.
I think a guy offensively. There's a couple of guys
that get shoutouts.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
San Francisco Giant Wilmer Flores, that's the he he's having
a season.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Who is a guy that's historically been like a utility guy,
just crying when he got this by the Mets, fourth
outfielder type of guy. Seven home runs, twenty five RBI
and we're in April. Another guy, Tyler Soderstrom on the A's.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
That's exactly who I was gonna bring up with. I
saw him play live.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
The guy's got a stroke unknown lefty because he's on
the A's baton two eighty one, nine home runs almost
twenty RBI's a young stunt. And if you want to
go West Coast Danny, I am so impressed with Yamamoto.
Seems like any first year jitters are gone now and
he's locked in.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
Huh, he's been a monster.

Speaker 6 (18:56):
And then as far as utility players go, how about
Tommy Edmund's he's tearing it up so good. He of
course came through clutch last season when the Dodgers acquired him,
and I saw.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
His stats recently and I was like, seriously.

Speaker 6 (19:09):
Yeah, nineteen Ribi's already you know why too though, Yeah,
the Dodgers. The Dodgers used him. Yeah, he just he's
one of those gamers. In fact, when Showhey was away
for the birth of his daughter, they used Edmund in
his place for to Go d H. So Edmund's really
putting smiles on Dodger fan faces.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
Yesday eight home runs.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
He's Matt in two seventy two nineteen RBI and like
Danny G said, just step out and he's.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
On a great field. He's a great fielder.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
Oh on a side note, I do want to give props,
like I said, seeing someone every day like Clay Bellinger's
having a crappy start, right, but man, that dude in
the field is disgustingly great, Like he's really great. Did
I say Clay Cody Cody Bellinger? So anyway, early season
props is what we're getting at. And Rich, I know
you had a theory well based on our old pass. Salakata, Yeah,

(20:02):
Salakata who works in New York Radio TV.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
He had a theory and I Sota was thinking about it.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
I'll tell you what that is after I give one
more shout out to a guy that doesn't need it,
but maybe a reminder that went healthy. You see, Mike
Trout's like back leading the league in offensive categories. Like
a healthy Mike Trout is still well. Do you remember
what we said we predicted just based on what we
had seen that we thought it could be a nice
comeback season for Trout and Christian Yelich who had a
Grand Slam last night.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
So you know early season props.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Mike Trout Batten two eighty seven eight home runs already,
so Trout's back to where he was. You know, you're
saying usual suspects, the Kyle Schwarberz and the Tattoos juniors
hitting bombs, but just a lot of fun baseball right
out the gate. But here's the question. We won't be
sports stat nerdy anymore. This could apply to any sport, football, baseball, basketball,

(20:54):
early on in the season, do you give much merit
when you're about hmmm, a fifth or even more or
even less of the way in like right now baseball,
we've played twenty five games. That's a nice sample, but
still a small sample. Small sample in football after your

(21:15):
first three or four games in the NFL, there's teams
that are one in three and you're like, ooh, and
they could just they could turn it around. Right when
do you start saying, all right, it's for real? Because
the question is, right now, can you give someone credit? Well,
you'd have to say like a quarter of the season,
whatever the season is, football, baseball, or basketball, because half

(21:37):
the season that's now you're cutting a close. You have
to decide are you taking what's happened so far in
baseball serious? Meaning you can't say, man Soto has been
a bust and then in the same sentence be like,
did you see Goldschmidt? Y? Yeah, I'm saying you can't.
You can't discredit one without the other. You can't say, well,
it's early.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
If we're saying, yeah, man, Paul gold is doing great,
how much does it matter if want Soto stinking it up?

Speaker 1 (22:05):
It's too early to really say yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
So if you're saying it's too early to tell if
someone sucks, I think it's also too early to tell
if someone's great soul. That there's always a couple of
guys that get through May and then they in this
I would say to whoever brings us up you in
this case, or Salakana earlier, our old pal. I mean,

(22:28):
but isn't it better to have a great start than not?
I'll take that any day. No, Yeah, sure, want Soto
or any team or anybody could turn it around and
have a stellar season, But I would much rather have
a great start then, like you said, playing the chase
from behind. Yeah, So your your thoughts and some hey

(22:49):
early season props. Let's hear about it. We'll talk some
NBA and of course NFL Draft tomorrow. So a lot
going on Coveno and Rich right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Pain in the ass.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
Yeah, He's keep it a real, real annoying live from
the Fox Sports Radio studio. Express employment professionals can provide

of wisdom, passing the torture onto you.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Ye, just to keep everyone in the loop.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
If you haven't seen by now, Chargers and Lions, that
is gonna be your first NFL matchup of the twenty
twenty five season, that preseason.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
Hall of Fame game. So Chargers, Lions and you.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
So your boy Mahomes said that he's ready to unleash
the passing attack. I'm ready to unleash the passing passing
What attack? The passing attack? All right, now we're wrapping up.
He's bringing a whole new layer of his game this year,
bringing a whole new layer to my game.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
This year. It's great. Patrick mahomes here.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
Before we get into something controversial, and then of course
Dan Byer's update before we talk Shannon Sharp and advice
you should have listened to. I do want to wrap
up early season props in baseball.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
Do they matter?

Speaker 2 (25:51):
I think it's better than sucking, but early season props.
I'm really impressed with Paul Goldschmidt. Now, the thing is
batting average doesn't really mean a whole lot today's game.
M I get it, but it's still impressive to see
when Aaron Judge is leading the league, leading baseball with
the circus number of four fifteen. He's batting four fifteen.
So he's not just a slugger. Our buddy Sean who
listens on the iHeart app out here in La said,

(26:14):
your description of Herman Munster just.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
Raking can't get out of his head, just Herman Munster.
Watched have you seen Herman Muster play baseball? But he
would hit the ball, explode, obscure reference and so like
you love to use it, I because that's what Aaron
Judge remiine will find a YouTube clip. It's gonna be
all blainday. You're gonna be like he's right. That's Aaron
Judge on the Yankees.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
So Judge's betting four to fifteen, Goldschmidth's betting three eighty three.
Brendan Donovan of the Cardinals three fifty six, and Will
Smith not the failed rapper, Will Smith yea, not the
rapper who's album flopped, the former actor who got who
got a? I don't know, too big for his britches.
Will Smith of the Dodgers betting three fifty. But you

(26:55):
don't want to keep going one more person? No, Pete
Alonzo betting three fourteen. I want to to give I
was gonna give him his props when he came to slugging,
because that's really what matters, right, Aaron Judge seven thirty four,
Your boy polar Bear, Pete who you didn't want, not
you Mets fans or the Mets six point eighty one slugging.

(27:16):
And then of course Jonathan Randez Tampa Bay, Kyle Tucker
Cubs six fifty.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
Kyle Tucker.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
We talked about a preseasoned energy in spring training, that
Kyle Tucker was a top five or six MVP candidate,
and people said, really, they they expect big things.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
In Kyle Tucker in Chicago is slaying it so far.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
And as far as home runs, which still matter, we
already talked about Tyler Soderstrum who we saw live.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
This kid has a stroke.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
He's got nine but Kyle Rally cal Raley is of
Seattle it also has nine home runs.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
Soder Strum of Turlock, California.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
Yeah, right, Uh, you're already mentioned. Tommy Edmund has eight
home runs. Fernando Tatis has eight home runs in trout
who's having a season. Good to see him healthy, eight
home runs, So again, early season props.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
Just to wrap it up, those are your league leaders.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
And there's there's some parts of baseball that are just
not surprising, like guys that are just continue to bring it,
like like Danny G's Yamamoto. He lost today, he got
the no decision, but Zach Wheeler of the Phillies got
fifty strikeouts already.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
And it's April, so same.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
You know, some of these guys just you know, back
to dominating your boy Rodon having some US stars told
you today, and you know I'm gonna quote Dion Sanders.
I got it from him. Baseball's popping man. Baseball is
popping again, don't sleep on it. I know not everybody
loves baseball the way we do, but it's an exciting time.
It's the baseball Renaissance of twenty twenty five. Lots of

(28:45):
superstars and they're putting up circus numbers. Now, it's good
to be Aaron Judge, but it's not so good to
be Shannon Sharp today.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
I'd say that respectfully.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
My first thought was, listen, there's so many I'm like,
this is all alleged, so who knows what's true or not.
I'll just say this, So many men in sports, entertainment, music,
politics have a weakness, and that weakness is allowing what's

(29:18):
in their pantalones to guide the way. How many times
has a politician you know, had stories come out about, Oh,
he's cheating on his wife and doing all this and
he was having affairs and he likes.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
He's talking about Carlos Danger.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
Do you remember everyone from Elliott Spitzer to remember the
guy in New York, Anthony Wiener, all these people you know?
So I mean, and then in in sports and politics,
President Clinton in the White House, you know, the blue
dresses and cigars forgot to that woman.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
So yeah, he denied it. What are you talking about Yeah,
and then he accepted it. That's right.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
But my point is whether or not whatever's true or
not scandal, it's not for us to decide.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
It's for courts and a people to decide.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
But my thought is these days Shannon Sharp, you know,
well he's adamantly denying.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
Yeah, of course the allegations.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
And whether it's true or not, that's not Again, that's
not for us to decide. That's for someone with a
you know, that's not my pay grid As I say,
how many times do guys, you know, enter a territory
where it's like this can't end well when you're a
retired athlete, how old is Shannon Chopper.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
In his fifties, fifty eight or something like that.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Yeah, to be messing around with some young woman that
maybe you don't know that well, and even if you
like it kinky and rough in the bedroom, because a
lot of people do that stuff you partake with a
wife or a girlfriend or someone you know and trust. Like,
by the way, you got to learn from other people's mistakes. Again,
this is all a lleged but we saw what happened

(30:47):
to Trevor Bauer, so it's like, hey, man, you gotta
be more careful, especially when you have a lot to lose.
And how about just being a good guy and a
good person and just be better than that. Here's the thing, No,
that's nothing that's irrelevant. To be better than that, people,
I'd say you wouldn't. You shouldn't take those chances. I'm
what I'm saying is people have kinks, but you reserve

(31:07):
so so what you have to lean into all of them.
I mean, let me finish my sentence. You you unleash
those kinks with someone you love and trust, whether it's
a girlfriend or a wife. I don't think if you're like, yeah,
I like it rough in the bedroom, that's not something
you do with a one night stand. When you have
hundreds of millions of dollars in your celebrity, let alone
a regular guy. You got to really use your head,

(31:28):
not the one in your pantalones. And I think that's
the problem. And if there's any advice I would give
my son one day or younger men, just be careful
of who you are with and then if he is
guilty of these things allegedly, then shame on him and
we'll see what happens. But I just think there's so
many people that are in a position I got so

(31:49):
much to lose, yet they take chances that are so
ill advised. Now that leads us to agree again some
grad advice that Shannon Sharp was once given on his
own show, and this was last year. If only he
had paid attention and listen to Monique, he might not

(32:11):
be in this situation. It's gone viral. Take a listen now,
I'm looking right.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
I tell y'all what Shannon Knee I can tell you.
I tell you what my baby kneed.

Speaker 7 (32:19):
He need him a old fat, down broken bake good cakes,
make some.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
Smother turkey wings, whore, Gonna.

Speaker 7 (32:24):
Rub his feet at the night time, okay, and gonna
have a sip of his cognac to make him feel
better by himself when they come home at night.

Speaker 4 (32:31):
That's what Shannon need.

Speaker 7 (32:32):
You don't need no twenty six year old girl.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
You don't need no thirty six year old girl. This
is your auntie talking to you. Take your old ass
and get your old up.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
Damn.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
I can love your old Monique.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
You trying to hang out with these young duds.

Speaker 7 (32:44):
And yeah, you can't do it. Saying it, you just
can't do it.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
When they want you to go for a fourth round.
You're looking at her like, listen, I need you.

Speaker 7 (32:51):
You want some money to go to StarPlus because I'm
taking home my further.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
But if you get your older girl when you get.

Speaker 7 (32:56):
To that fourth roun so she's gonna say hold on,
hold on, let me go get you some eggs and cheese,
has some ches with apple butter, because that's gonna get
your energy back up. I'm talking right to you.

Speaker 2 (33:06):
Wow, Nick crazy, You listen to now, so I want
you to start thinking about this advice you should have
listened to. Let's get to it at eight seven seven
ninety nine m Fox. But first an update from D. B.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
Dan Bayer.

Speaker 8 (33:20):
Hey, guys, you were talking about the busy day in
baseball with both of your teams playing. Yankee stop the
Guardians five to one, and the Mets got that four
to three win over the Phillies in ten New York.
Seventh straight win for Philadelphia, they've dropped four in a row.
Tiger's playing to podre six nothing Reds down the Marlins
five to two, while the first game to go final
was in Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Won one a fly ball high in the air to
the deep left field.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
This thing is clear for takeoff hitch a three run homer.
Eli White puts the Braves on top of the eighth
four to one, Atlanta, you have.

Speaker 8 (33:53):
Top the Cardinals by that counts on the Braves Radio Network.
Three NBA playoff games tonight all Game two's Magic and
Celtics Chase and Tatum remains doubtful with the wrist injury. However,
Celtics head coach Joe Mizzoula did say that Tatum did
get some on court work in earlier Today. Again, his
official status has not yet been determined. He'd at the Cavaliers.
He having thirty Eastern Warriors and Rockets nine thirty Eastern

(34:15):
Tom NBA insider Mark Stein reports at former Warriors GM
Bob Myers could be a candidate to join the Sun's
front office. Rutgers freshman star Ace Bailey is entering the
twenty twenty five NBA Draft. In the NFL, the Sceintes
picked up the fifth year option on the contract of
wide receiver Chris o'lave, but declined the option on Trevor
Penning's contract. As for quarterback Derek Carr, this was Saints

(34:35):
JM Mickey Loomis.

Speaker 7 (34:36):
Questions about Derek Carr.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
He does have an issue with his shoulder.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
We're hoping to gets some resolution and clarity on that
in the near future.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
When we do, I'll report back to you. Otherwise I
don't have anything more.

TB and you mentioned and played the highlight from that
Braves win over the Cardinals.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
Hey again, we talked about how it's early.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
You want to give props to certain people, but at
the same time, we can't overreact because it is so early.
Just like that, I mean, they're still under five hundred.
But what did the Braves start, oh to seven, ten
and fourteen and playing really good baseball, So you know
that Braves team's not going to be done that Braves
team is going to be over five hundred by my
guests second week of May.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
Over five hundred.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
All right, So advice you should have listened to a

Speaker 2 (36:57):
That's woul Data. She said no, no, no, you owe
you ld You said would, But you see the picture
of Walton Goggins on the cover of magazine. And just
because you would doesn't mean you should. And we're talking
about Shannon Sharp. Right now is Cavino and Rich on
Fox Sports Radio. Before we get to the phone calls,

(37:17):
see it's time for our tire rack. Play of the
day Lebron looking twenty not forty years old as he
stole the ball from behind Anthony Edwards and quickly powered
his way to the hoop to squash the Wolve's fourth
quarter comeback attempt last night, go feed and go.

Speaker 9 (37:32):
Throwing away, Wolves had turn them out.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
Stut the ball chimes, rip the ball, pin on timesers,
keep stealing the two.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
He's got twenty one.

Again the tie iraq dot Com play of the day

(38:07):
the way tire buying should be. Now back to the advice.
What is great advice you were given? You just ignored.
We don't need to play the whole Monique clip again.
But Monique last year told Shannon Sharp, you need an
older woman that's gonna cook for you and be there
having a late night cocktail years old.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
Nothing that you're paying to get Starbucks.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
It's just that it's an unfortunate story, right, because you
can't make light of her accusations. But at the same time,
like we said, I you are a man or woman
of power, especially a man, because it seems like men
don't know how to keep it in their pants. We've
all been guilty of making dumb decisions, but some make
weight dumber decisions than others. And it's a politics sports entertainment.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
You see it happen all the time. What is Shannon
Sharp doing in the first place? I get it. I
saw the girl.

Speaker 2 (38:57):
She looks hot, but that doesn't mean you need to
go after every hot girl.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
The hits on you. Dangerous man Nova in Vegas. What's
up man?

Speaker 4 (39:06):
Hey guys, good afternoon. Love to show them. Listener. That's
probably about like my second or third time ever calling
me appreciate. So I got a couple. I got three
of them. The first one is always save some money
or any day situations because you never know what could happen,
and I never do. That's the first one. Second one
is be careful who you have kids with because you

(39:29):
never know how they're going to turn out after you
have those kids. Not listening. I have two beautiful daughters,
but you know outside of that, don't know the person
that I that I'm married at that time. And then
the last one is chee a career when you're young,
otherwise you'll be chasing jobs forever. And I should have
listened to that. That was sound advice that my dad

(39:51):
gave me. And never once did I ever pick a
career and I'm still out here chasing jobs.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
That's great advice. I'm great.

Speaker 2 (39:58):
Call you know what I feel like, there's been good
advice I did take, and then you think like, thank
god I did because it was But when you think
about the it's usually with the relationships, like someone's like, yell, dude,
I don't know if she's right for you, and you're like,
I don't know, and then you're right. You end up
get married or having a kid with the wrong woman,

(40:19):
and it's, you know, to put your life in a
weird spot. Let's say how to Michael also in Vegas.

Speaker 9 (40:23):
Hey Mike, Hey, guys, love the show.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
Guys, thank you, man, appreciate you.

Speaker 9 (40:28):
Hey, So I only got one thing when I'm fifty
years old. But when I was a teenager going to
high school, I was studying at you know, about stocks
and stock bonds and all that stuff, and people will
come around and say, hey, you should invest in Walmart.
I was like, Walmart, whatever, Well, I'll find out all
that public bonds and whoever got the public stocks they're

(40:48):
pretty much millionaires now, thank you god.

Speaker 2 (40:50):
Yeah, man, and I invested in the Mexican one Gualmar
and it didn't take off as much.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
In the eighties. Didn't someone tell your dad to invest
in Apple? But he just bananas?

Speaker 2 (41:01):
Yeah, Oh my god, my mom yells at him till
this day. So yeah, that's great money in an apple farm. Yeah,
in that apple So other advice you should have listened to.

Speaker 1 (41:10):
I'll uh het stuck in Motts.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
Monique telling Shannon Sharp to stay away from his young
ladies and find himself an old lady to rub his feet.
And she was right, because this story is getting sticky,
it's still developing. And I'll say one of mine, I'll
save one for now and I'll give you more later.

Speaker 1 (41:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (41:28):
As a young man, I tell my daughter this now.
People would tell me to study abroad, but I was
too much of a chicken turd to take that advice.
And looking back, I really wish I would have. No
one really gave me that opportunity. But people said, if
you have the opportunity, should do it, study your Broad.
I was so like, I don't know such an East
Coast Jersey boy. Then like, I'm not leaving I know
Covino's East Coast Jersey. Answer was study abroad? How about

(41:51):
I study Broad?

Speaker 1 (41:52):
Just study New Jersey.

Speaker 2 (41:56):
Hey, we got more kevine on Rich, we got Mike's
words wisdom. We're gonna give away prize spot it's got
midweek major. More CNR on FSR
