get that final shot off is gonna haunt them. Gotta
shoot your shot, get that shot. Yeah, it's gonna haunt
you forever. If you don't. And again I mean that
in life and on the court. Now, what's the difference

(02:14):
between me and you?

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Me and you?

Speaker 2 (02:16):
What's the difference between cockiness and confidence? Dan Orlovski again
props to him and his amazing son, his amazing son.
He said, Now this was yesterday, right, because there's an update.
He says, we can't praise Baker Mayfield and fall in
love with Baker Mayfield because of his charisma, cockiness and
self belief. And then kind of you it differently with Shador.

(02:38):
I do agree with that. But what I said before,
I'll say it again. You have to remember Baker Mayfield
sort of earned everybody's respect. He graduated from cockiness to
confidence because when I think about the difference, yet, confidence
comes with a smile.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Confidence also comes with you're backed by results.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Mayfield proved to everybody that he was a bona fide
NFL player and he could ball, but not only that,
he was I think he bumped into the iron cheek, yeah,
because he was humbled. He was, you know, and I
know what you mean by that too, rich And there's
so many personal examples you could sort of tie in
if you want. I remember my uncle telling me I
was heartbroken, dude, heartbroken over a girl one time. And

(03:24):
then I think I got like fired from a job
or whatever. But I was heartbroken over a girl. Was
Steve's no good, very bad day. It was Steve Cavino's terrible, horrible,
no good, very bad day, right, fired and dumb. And
I remember like, Wow, she was the best thing that
happened in my whole life.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
And I remember my uncle saying to me, I went
to my uncle for advice. What should I do?

Speaker 2 (03:45):
How do I get her back? And he's like, we
want to know something. Let me be honest with you.
I like you better this way. I'm like why, He's like,
because you're humbled. Now you've been humbled for the first time,
because you know what, I thought, nothing could stop this guy.
I was arrogant and I was cocky and was backed
by nothing and no results. It was just in my
own head, in my own belief. So that's the difference

(04:06):
between cockiness and confidence, the humility again.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
The results.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Yeah, Sdar Sanders is great, but he still has a
lot to prove.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
And that's fine. I'm sure he will.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
But I think we need to remember that we didn't
all love Baker Mayfield.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
He has a name after all, the humility, the.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Hungers and again proving that he could play in the NFL.
Not saying that I'm not rooting for Shador. I'm a
big Deon Sanders fan, absolutely rooting for the kid. But
as Orlovsky said again today, now here's the update, he
might be one of the hardest qbs that he ever
had to rate. And I understand that based on quarterback
to a bat in his assessment, and it's because the

(04:48):
offensive line stunk so but.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
He's saying he has elite field vision and everything else
so hard.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
And also a lot of his throws lit Yeah, right
off the line of scrimmage.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Because of with a bad old line. This guy was
making quick decisions. You don't really have a lot of
looks at Shador. But to wrap up what you're saying
about Baker, Baker was tested and we saw Baker fail
a little bit and fall and like you getting dumped
and losing your job, old Steve Cab, yeah you were.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
You were humbled.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Humility kicks in and I think we got to see Baker,
you know, laying on his back, humanizes you, humanizes you.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
People relate to you more.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
And I think we don't view Baker Mayfield that way
anymore because of all that. So that's the difference. And
like you said rich before, confidence comes with a smile. Cockiness,
you're just tooting your own horn.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
The whole time. You haven't really proved it.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
And there's hosts like that here on our network ESPN, CBS, Fox,
and you name it. There's people that you look at
me like, why are you taking yourself so serious? Like
the ability to laugh at yourself. I always say that
when it comes to dating as well. What makes a
guy cocky or confident with women? A confident guy is

(06:05):
sure of himself, but he's also okay being vulnerable in
front of the woman, acting silly, you know, being the
butt of the joke if he does something, you know, goofy.
That's confidence. A cocky guy is a guy that if
someone even chuckles or laughs at him, he's like, what
are you living.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
To me for?

Speaker 1 (06:22):
It's just really insecurity, in.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Security and it's put offish And I think that again,
and there's a finland of arrogance too, right, So yeah,
there's the difference between cockiness and confidence. It's a thin line,
but there's a significant line there. And I'm not wishing
this for him, but let's say should Or goes to
the NFL, Right, yeah, dude, we wish nothing but this
greatest success for him, and he follows a Baker blueprint
in that. Let's say let's say he ends up. I'm

(06:46):
just picking him the Giants. I know they seem stacked
in the QB room right now, But let's say he
did go there and he had a really rough go
at it, and the media was rough on him, and
it was like, man, sit Nor stinks. And then he
got a chance on a second team and he lit
it up. We'd all be like, there he is, Like
it's so think about his dad, right, his dad had
His dad might be the cockiest guy that ever wore.
Why his dad during the draft told teams, I'm not

(07:08):
gonna look at your playbook when's your draft picking?

Speaker 1 (07:10):
But I'm not remember I'm all be gone by that dude.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
I remember watching the Yankees when a young Dion Sanders
Neon Dion Sanders before he was primetime Deon Sanders. Neon
Dion would get in the batter's box and draw a
dollar sign in the batter's box, and he was the
most flashy dude with Jerry curl right, But again he
eventually backed that up with results when you realize like, oh,
you know, he's not necessarily cocky, he's confident and he

(07:35):
proves it. You know his son is cut from the
same cloth. Will he prove it? Absolutely? I think he will.
But I think that's the difference. That's the difference.

Speaker 5 (07:45):
To me.

Speaker 6 (07:47):
Confidence is unspoken. It doesn't need to be explained, Like
you don't tell people, oh, I'm confident, yeah the results.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Its very similar to.

Speaker 6 (07:54):
Uh, when you see very wealthy people like these billionaires,
like remember there was a joke we all hate him now,
but like where we saw Elon Musk's kitchen and it
was like that old dated nineties wood or like how
sometimes you see like the CEO of Apple and he's
out and he's just wearing like polos and you know,
khakis and a polo and like they're not flashy at
all because they don't have to be. You don't have

(08:15):
to prove it because they know underneath they're sitting on
near a trillion dollars. Similar with confidence of cockin it's
like you don't need to say I'm confident, you don't
need to prove you're confident. You don't need to act confident,
you just are confident. And you know what, people pick
up on that though. That's the thing, and I think
that's what cocky people don't understands.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Everyone else sees it. But dude, I do want to
point out that we can't discount what a cool characteristic
it is for a shoud or standsers to be so
confident where and every stage of He said that wherever
I go, I will change the culture. Some people have
looked at that and say, who do you think you are?

(08:55):
And then other people are like, I amn, other people
like you know, it's hard not to almost admire that
level of confidence.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Dude. You know what he's saying, wherever I go, I
will bring a winning culture. And he's a twenty he's
a kid.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
And if he does that, then he's proven and he's
awesome and we root him on moving forward.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
So again, why aren't we treating.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Chador Sanders confidence the same way we treated Baker Mayfield.
Baker Mayfield was hated on the beginning. Yeah, so I
think I'm actually very curious about this guy. By the way,
I'm not even saying me that's sort of the sort

(09:41):
of the perception. I would say, if you follow social
media or what people are saying on TV, or what
you sort of get from him, it's he's hard to
evaluate because he does have an insane level of cockiness
or confidence.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
However you want to look at you.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
Yeah, And it's hard to tell with these teams what's real,
what's a smoke screen, what they're lying about, who they're
really looking at. And dB reported earlier that he's going
to take a meeting with the Steelers, yeah, for one
of their top thirty meetings now that they picked twenty one.
So if he slides all the way down to twenty
one in, does that humble you or does that put

(10:17):
a fire under you? And you're like one of the
two quarterbacks we know so well who said, oh those
other teams made a mistake. I'm gonna show them, you.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Know I I do love that thought, like you know,
it could light a fire. But let me ask you this.
Do you remember it was on the Primetime thirty for thirty.
Maybe you Dan Bayer or Ira Sam will remember Deon
Sanders told a team when he was when you know
Primetime was getting drafted. A team almost offered the playbook
and he's like, when's your draft pick, and he declined

(10:46):
because he's like, nah, I'll keep your playbook. I won't
be on the board by then. And I remember people
at that time who are like, how cocky could you be?
And you know, let's be honest. If you're Deon Sanders
and it's you know, thirty years ago, you think you're
gonna if you if you got a late round pick, you.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Think you're gonna. Dion's still gonna be on the board.
I love that.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
I love that cockiness in that regard, but when you
back it up by results, all right.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
So that's our take on it. And again, good luck
to him. Man.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
I hope the thing I hope is meeting with the Steelers.
I almost said pirates Steelers goes well, no, if he
was like that, he could play both. Yeah, he as
good as uh Dion he could, you know, And that's
something Well, you know, Otani is the closest thing playing
on both sides of the ball.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
I was talking about that with some buddies last night.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Well, he's the definition of the difference between cockiness and confidence.
Shohio Tani, who's smiling bigger than that guy who's having
more fun than him. Is he telling anyone on the
best No, because he's riding straight up on confidence backed
by results. Show Hey Otani, I'm sorry, show, Hey Otani O.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
I was.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
I was talking to some buddies last night. I don't
know if you've been seeing some of the clips. We
all see the same social media clips a lot of times,
like Jamis Winston playing baseball in college at Florida State
and throwing the ball from the warning track to home plate.
It's a famous clip, like one hundred mile an hour bullet.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
And you do realize that a lot.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Of these guys just have so they could have played
a lot of different sports. But we're just never going
to see a Bo Jackson or Primetime again like that.
And you know what, as we get ready for, as
we get ready for a little Last One Standing, which
is my favorite game we play here on Fox Sports
Radio Get Involved, eight seven seven nine to nine on
Fox eight seven, seven nine nine on Fox, We're gonna

(12:38):
play that next.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
I saw a stat that Danny.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
G hit us up with, and we talked the other
day about just how tight the NBA playoff brackets are.
We say, tighter than your jeans in the early two thousands.
You did say that Richie used to wear ballerina pants.
We were saying, how more so than ever, it's like
the difference between the three seed and the sixth seed,

(13:03):
Like there's a lot of there's a lot of seeding
still yet to be done, and it's proven by the
fact that there's a chart Danny showed us that nineteen
of the twenty seeds aren't even locked in yet other
than Oksee at number one, every other seed from one
to ten in the Western Conference and one to ten

(13:23):
in the Eastern Conference. Of those, nineteen of the twenty
have not been clinched in an order yet, meaning depending
on how the team's doing the final games of the season,
because are all within one or two games.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
It's wid.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
Yeah, if the Calves beat the Bulls tonight, then they'll
lock in the number one seed for the East. Okay,
But as of right now, as we're speaking live on
national radio, there are so many seeds still sitting there
where we don't know what team is going to be where,
And there's only a couple of games separating so many teams,
especially in the West, two games separate six teams right now.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Yeah, that's insane, and that that will effect home court,
that'll affect who you play, like there's gonna be people
maybe positioning like oh maybe we don't want to play
that team first, so much at stake in the final
week and then starting a week from today, I believe
is the playing games where we you know, see seven, eight, nine, ten,
go at it. So NBA playoffs we always talk about

(14:19):
it just turns up a notch. So that's one week
from today we get the NBA. Is that why the
Nuggets fired the coach or what? And then your credit
is so tight If they're fourth in the West forty
seven and thirty two and they won last year two
seasons ago, two, I'm sessed right. Two seasons ago now

(14:40):
two seasons ago, I find Stevie, it's still proven. Though
it's kind of shaky and kind of interesting to think
that they fired their coach NGM today forty seven and
thirty two. However, they lost four in a row. The
Nuggets lost four in a row and they're three and
seven in their last ten. Is that really the reason
why you're a CHAMPI being ship winning coach? You know,

(15:03):
it's just two years ago, so you think this is
this has to be more than just a four game
losing streak. This is something that went wrong in the
locker room, the leadership of the team, from the top
down to the locker and there's something going on here
that we're not hearing about.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
That's really it.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
What's stirring the kool aid here, the fact that they're
three and seven in their last ten and lost for
in row or is there something else bigger going out?
You know, there's something bigger and you gotta you gotta
connect the dots on that. And by the way, Celtics
fans very upset. You forgot that won last year. Well
you just forgot the Celtics. Yeah, it was like forgettable, forgettable. No,

(15:42):
I was thinking like that was remember it was it was.
It was Celtics beating. Could forget Jason Tatum celebration, forget
all emotional, but remember Tatum. And you know, we wanted
Dallas to put up a better fight the Mavericks that
got shut down pretty easy. But yeah, Celtics, we don't
think we disrespected you. I'll compare it to relationships because
that's sort of what we do here on covinon Rich

(16:05):
and I think we've all seen this with ourselves a
friend or family member. You could be dating someone and
it might be a little different with Mike Malon because
they did win a couple of years ago. But you
ever fund yourself in a position where you're like, yeah,
like there's nothing fundamentally wrong, meaning like we could exist together,
we get along, we live together, it's all good.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
And I'm just not in.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Love and I just don't think this is what's going
to take us to the next level. And when, as
they clipped that Dan Bayer played, when when everything is
really just based on winning, maybe maybe the Nuggets, deep
down inside and ownership thinks, you know, we're thankful we
won one. It was carried by the joker. Coach is good.

(16:45):
He brought the he brought the heap. Right now, you're
thinking to yourself, maybe this maybe they look at the
field and they say, we're missing something, And I don't
know how you do that with four games left.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
That was my point, though four games left. You did
it too years ago.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
And you guys liked Malone remember at the parade, Yeah,
you liked what he was talking about there, and he
had said something about being the Lakers daddy and all that,
and he was giving a little fights he's appeared on
our show a few times because of what he says
on microphones. He was definitely a fiery guy.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
But that's why it proves that there has to be
something that we don't know yet more to come.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
He's a good coach and already on on Twitter, I
saw some NBA analysts saying keep an eye on him
to possibly be coach Pop's successor in San Antonio. He'll
definitely land somewhere for sure. But this this, uh, this
is something where personalities are Yeah, exactly with ownership.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Because rich I like your analogy, like, he's just not
the one, right, I'm not in love with that, but
he was two years ago, so.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
He's not now. It's it's it's tough to says dB.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
I got to ask because I'm sure you're keep an
eye on the story all day. Hasn't been any hints
other than like maybe the Fitch just not right anymore.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
I know that's very generic, right, Yeah, Actually there's a lot.

Speaker 7 (18:00):
Because Josh Kronki, the vice chair of Kronky Sports Entertainment,
spoke about an hour ago, we played a little off
the top of the at the top of the hour,
and then in the show earlier, but he said a
few things this well, it was Josh Cronki.

Speaker 8 (18:16):
This wasn't a decision that was taken lightly or taken
as in a reactionary fashion to anything specific. You know,
having observed that group over your period of time, there
were certain trends that were very worrisome to me at
different points in time, but they would get masked by
a few wins here and there. And you know, in
the world of professional sports, when winning and losing is

(18:36):
your currency, you know, winning can mask a lot of things.

Speaker 7 (18:40):
So he said that, and then he went to this
when he gave specific numbers.

Speaker 8 (18:45):
We went on an eight game win streak right before
the All Star break, you know, but since then, I
think we're eleven and thirteen, we've lost our last four,
and we're trending towards a direction that I thought would
probably be a very.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
Near end to our season in the near future.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Okay, I get the sense of that, of that they think,
come to playoffs right now with Malone and Charge, they
weren't going to stack up against the Lakers. Okay, see
Golden State where they're at. And I but you're gonna
shake it up right now, and all of a sudden, but.

Speaker 7 (19:16):
I stay because here's the trump card. This is where
I think people will be like, oh, okay, we were.

Speaker 8 (19:25):
Going to be changing this from these roles at the
end of the season. From that point forward, I think that,
you know, I became comfortable with the thinking of, you know,
let's try to shake this tree and squeeze, squeeze as
much out of this as we can.

Speaker 7 (19:35):
So they had made a decision to already move on
from both of those guys before the season even completed.
And to their point, well, if we're going to do
this anyway, and now we're on a four game skid,
why not just cut bait now and see if we
can make anything of it.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
If they were already going to do that. No, No,
here's interesting. Here's an interesting thought.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
With very few games left in the regular season as
you head into the post season, if you got I mean,
when you have the Joker and you have that team,
it's not like your wishing upon a star, like they
could go on a run with the quality of talent
they have on that team. So what if you got
you know, the interim in there and they did get hot.
So it's not a crazy idea because if you thought

(20:18):
as they, as he said, worrysome trends and currency is winning.
It's not a crazy idea when you think about it
in that.

Speaker 7 (20:25):
Way, not at all, and not to draw parallels, but
there's two parallels to the city of Milwaukee. And I
brought this up with you guys when Taylor Jenkins was
fired in Memphis. When the Brewers fired in two thousand
and eight, ned Yost with two weeks remaining because they
were battling the Mets for the wild card. They canned
ned Yost because if they didn't make the playoffs, they

(20:46):
weren't going to keep them. The next year brought in
Dale Swain, who moved over and took over as the
interim manager. They ended up holding on got to the
playoffs for the first time in twenty six years, and
it worked out for them in that case, but ned
Yost was likely going to be gone anyway. I used
the Bucks as the example of now you've got jo
Kich and you just can't waste it, just like the

(21:07):
Bucks have kind of done with Gianni since they won
four years ago. I haven't done anything, you know, in
that time, and I think that the Nuggets are now
starting to feel that crunch of we have to get
more out of maybe this generational player that we've only
won one championship with.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
That's that's a great point, DV. That's a great point.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
And you know what your thoughts if you want to
chime in on the Nuggets making changes and also if
you want to play our game. And by the way,
Dan Bayer said, Dale swam, he means Dale swee. I
remembers the card Dale sweem when you got them. I
remember that baseball card remembers Dale Swing. We're gonna give

(21:48):
away a Swiggy. We're gonna give away some prizes you want.

the show, we were talking about people and athletes that
are better when they're fat.

You know, certain people are better when they're bigger.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
John Goodman my favorite. I saw a trip hit us

Santa Clausic band, Santa Billy Bob. Yeah, exactly, it doesn't work.

time or you answer incorrectly, Iowa Sam will take you
out with his big bad buzzer. We keep battling until
you are the last one standing. If you win two
of the rounds, you're the top dog. Here are the contestants.
Six time winner, Steve Covino. You sure's that seven? It's six,

this game. A lot of anxiety, stressful. When I say
your name, the clock is going to begin. Here is
the first category. It's called twelve with at least six.
You have five seconds to name one of the MLB
teams who already has six or more wins this season.
All right, and Covino, you're gonna be up first as

(26:01):
soon as the clock goes.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
Now, let's go with the Dodgers and get them out
of the way. Here you go, nine and three.

beautiful birds. Right, So buyer on the board.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
As we moved to the second category, recession proof, you
have five seconds to name a professional sports team who,
according to Forbes Top twenty list, which was released at
the end of last year, is one of the most
valuable sports teams. One of the most valuable sports teams.
Will take the Top twenty from Forbes and Rich in
San Antonio. You're going to be first as soon as
the clock goes now.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
Hellas Cowboy, Yes, number one, good job. Can I just
ask for cl Is this like us? Did you say us?
Or is this world? It's worldwide? Okay? Oh wow? All right?

Speaker 3 (28:20):

Speaker 3 (28:38):

Speaker 1 (28:45):

(29:09):

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Batalone, which is Mets, Bartha, the New York Bets not
of the list.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
One with bart Alona Warriors.

Speaker 6 (29:25):
Maybe a lot of NBA teams, right, So Cowboys won,
Warriors to the Rams three, Nicks five, Patriots six. So yeah,
there's a there's a didn't get Chelsea. Chelsea is not
on the list.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
But you know what it is, all right. So Buyer
and Rich are rich both on the board. We go
to the third category, sudden impact. You have five seconds
to name an NFL team who holds a top twenty
draft pick come April twenty fourth in Green Bay, top
twenty and Coveno, you're gonna be at first now, Jaguars,

(30:04):
Jaggy Wars, Yes, number.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
Five, go to Rich Tennessee Titans.

Speaker 3 (30:12):

Speaker 4 (30:23):

Speaker 3 (30:25):
Uh three two one?

Speaker 1 (30:32):
He said, Bengals, Spangles seven, number seventeen. All right, we'll
give that to you, Coveno.

Speaker 6 (30:38):
The Giants, Giants number one three, number.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
Three, of course, all the Sanders speculation, even though they
have a quarterback heavy room now Rich the Jets, Jets
number seven, buyer Danny's Raiders. Raiders are number six. Let's
go jenty, all right, Rich and san Antonio the love

(31:05):

Speaker 1 (31:29):
Cult call Rich Ault the forty Danny forty nine ers, Yes,

Vikings Vikings nonetheless out of their rich.

Speaker 6 (31:50):
The Arizona Cardinals, Cardinals number sixteen.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
Buyer Seahawks, Seahawks number eighteen. Back to Rich.

Speaker 3 (32:02):
Three two one the chargersers.

Speaker 6 (32:08):
Nope, Not only Rams rams No, rams are not on you,
but the ones left where the Broncos at twenty, Bucks
at nineteen, Cowboys no one said a twelve, Dolphins at
thirteen and Pats at number four, No one said Pats.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
Damn Buyer said, Pats, No, I didn't, no gidding, that's it.
You're thinking backwards and you're trying to fill in the blanks.
It's a challenging game. Great job, Buyer with his twenty
seven check.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
The Yankees, Dude, one more you beat the Yankees.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
Stressful man, Rich and san Antonio. Thank you for playing
the game. It's up to dB whether or not he
wants to mail that off to Texas. Absolutely all right,
him away now, So Rich, we're gonna still send you
a swiggy even though you stunk at the game.

Speaker 5 (32:58):
Thank you show.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
You know, we're going to we're gonna label it. We're
gonna label label.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
Here a swigy participation, Swigy participation, swiggy Hey, thank you man,
have a great one, Li, But.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
Let's go to dB for an update. Damn Buyer, what's
doing man?

Speaker 7 (33:12):
That was that was interesting because it wasn't just non
playoff teams.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
There were a couple.

Speaker 7 (33:17):
Yeah, you know, the Broncos made it right at that
that cutoff line. So anyway, speaking of Denver, the Nuggets
making the news today as they fired head coach Mike
Malone and general manager Calvin Booth. Josh Cronky, who's the
vice chair of Kronky Sports Entertainment, the group that owns
the Denver Nuggets, had this to say about the changes.

Speaker 8 (33:37):
We went on a game win streak right before the
All Star break, you.

Speaker 4 (33:40):
Know, but since then, I think we're eleven and thirteen.

Speaker 8 (33:43):
We've lost our last four, and we're trending towards a
direction that I thought would probably be a.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
Very near end to our season in the near future.

Speaker 7 (33:52):
To Kronky's point, they're in the fourth spot in the West,
but just a half game separates them and the eighth
spot in the West. With those final three games a remaining,
Nuggets letting go of Michael Malone, who's their all time
winning as head coach, and Calvin Booth also out as
general manager. Florida finished number one in the final AP
Top twenty five men's college hoops polo the season. Houston

(34:14):
finished second, followed by Duke at three, Auburn four, Tennessee
at five. Multiple Report station or Sanders. We'll have a
top thirty visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers coming up on Thursday. Guys,
We've got a scoreless game in Cleveland. Bottom of the
ninth inning between the White Sox and Guardians. However, Cleveland's
got the bases loaded with no one out, and it
looks like it just has ended.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
Maybe not foul ball, walkoff, grand slam, just hollows real close.

Speaker 7 (34:42):
The Riches Mets lead the Marlins nine to five, and
the seventh could have been much more. Mets at bases
loaded by a diving catch by Marlins outfield.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
It was an amazing catch.

Speaker 7 (34:53):
Yes, you the would have put three home, maybe even
four if he doesn't catch it all the way around.
But the met still hold the nine to five lead.
Cavino's Yankees fell to the Tigers today five nothing. Some
sad news to pass along. Former base MLB closer Octavio
Dotel died on his way to the hospital after he
was pulled from the rubble following the collapse of a
nightclub ceiling in the Dominican Republic hotel. Was fifty one

(35:16):
years old. Rory McElroy T's the first round of the
Masters Thursday at one twelve Eastern time, champion defending champion
Scotti Scheffler at ten fifteen Eastern time Thursday morning, and
the Guardians did walk it off one nothing, win over
the White Sox guys, back to.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
You, thank you with you with a walk off walk
a walk off the Grand Slam would have been more fun.
The Guardians win. Wait a second, how many wins do
they have? Maybe I was right in last count I
don't know right well anyway, Rest in peace, Octavio sh
dotelln the coolest nicknames out of the coolest nicknames, and

(35:51):
horrible footage if you guys haven't seen it, it's out there,
the roof collapsing at that nightclub and he was part
of it.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
He was one of last nights. So like eighteen people died.
So yeah, a sad story. Hey Covino, that's the Guardian's fourth.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
One, ah man, really wow, Guardian's not getting off to
a great start.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
But hey, nice win.

Speaker 2 (36:08):

Speaker 2 (38:30):
Yeah, he keeps staring at the photo of Geno Smith
at the Raiders facility, staring at the picture of John
Madden like he's all inspired. And then photo Geno Smith
went to Tom Brady's house. So, yeah, have you not
even said Geno Smith looks cooler as a raider? He does,
he does. It's even more weird because we're staring at Danny,
staring at Gino, staring at Madden. Yeah, it's kind of wild. Yeah,

(38:55):
who's maddeness staring at that photo again. We're live from

Speaker 1 (39:26):
Number one A one. Yeah, I don't want to be your.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Number two, though, sometimes the number two is better than
a number one sometimes. Hey, Fox Sports Radio. Covinon Rich,
Lock and Load. Now we're watching the Pirates Cardinals game
in the background here, bottom of the first inning, scoreless,
just watching schemes deal on the first inning.

Speaker 1 (39:44):
That guy's stuff is electric.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
As Covino pointed out, his personality might not be, but
his stuff's electric and I grew with spot My wet
sock has more personality than that. It was that you
were spoke to Meno that said, you know, he just
looks way cooler with a beer. Oh, I mean the mustache.

Speaker 1 (39:59):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
People love the mustachio. But he looks just like a
cooler grown up. You know what it is when you
throw one hundred and ten miles per hour and Livy
Dunn is by your sign. You don't need a personality.
You just need a fastball and a little scruff and
a sweet cutter too.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
I mean, you see you're talking about this.

Speaker 6 (40:19):
Oh yeah, don't put the back of my head, Sam.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
He's pretty catchy.

Speaker 2 (40:25):
He looks older and better with the beard. But my goodness,
I know baseball isn't a personality contest, but if it.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
Was, he'd be in last place.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
Well if winning it saw young. Matter which it does,
my vote is still on him.

Speaker 1 (40:39):
That's all. I just watched him.

Speaker 2 (40:42):
I mean, I know the Cardinals aren't the most dynamic lineup,
but he just like fastball, curveball, fastball, strikeout, weak ground ball,
fastball correctly.

Speaker 1 (40:51):
He's dealings like dominated like when when you.

Speaker 2 (40:53):
See a true ace, which we talked about, there's not
a ton recently in Major League Baseball.

Speaker 1 (40:59):
A lot of stars, but there's not a ton of aces.
Zach Wheeler.

Speaker 2 (41:04):
You know there's a few school ball who shut down
your Yanks today. There's a few, but for the most part,
you're not seeing the aces like we did in other generations.
It's a hitter is game right now. But that's what
makes Paul scene stand out more to.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
Make with the torpedo bats.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
I know conversation has slowed down a little bit on that,
but story it is helping. Yeah, you know, giving a
little bit of an advantage to the batters. So again,
enjoy your baseball. Thank you guys for hanging out with
us today. I want to remind you about tomorrow. Tomorrow's
the hump day already. We're gonna turn your hump day
into a hump night. And we do that with midweek Major.
The biggest stories in the world of sports and pop

(41:41):
culture are they mid week or major We do it
every Wednesday.

Speaker 1 (41:45):
That's a lot of pressure on me. Yeah, night be
freaking delivered tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
But yeah, you know what a couple of things we
may now we've got to today what we always get
to it the next day, a lot of fun and
of course baseball not only is baseball fall fact, and
we're enjoying that. One week from today the playing game starts.
So we got one week left of the NBA season
and then the playoffs, so let's get ready. We'll see
you guys later until then, or even there, you baby,
we will see you in the promising. Have a great
