You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Nothing is more important than protecting your home and loved
ones from harm. For millions of Americans, that reassurance starts
every day by arming their simply safe home security system.
Visit simply safecolin dot com and say fifty percent on
a new system. There's no safe like simply safe. All right,
let's bring in the main man, Chris the Bear Felika.

(00:46):
I've known this guy for many years. He is a
Jets fan, but we won't really talk Jets here because
he cares about the moribun Jets. Chris, First of all,
how's your offseason going from college football?

Speaker 4 (00:57):
Now? We're doing We're doing pretty good in the season here.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
We're just wrapping up from getting a couple of brutal
beats there at in the Elite eight with Texas Tech
and a brutal beat in the championship.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
Game with Houston.

Speaker 5 (01:08):
But yeah, we're starting to dive into the college football
schedules and certainly the NFL Draft for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Yeah, Chris knows as much about college football as anybody
I've ever met, and he's the perfect guy to talk
to about this draft. So let's just assume cam Moore
knows Number one. I'm kind of sort of obsessed with
the Browns. Everybody knows you need a quarterback. The Browns
don't have one. It's Shadoor. Let's just assume there's no
trade back Shadoor, which might be too rich, or it's

(01:36):
Travis Hunter, and like, maybe we trade in for Shador later,
or we take Jalen Miro your favorite quarterback later, or
we go after Kirk Cousins. Chris, first of all, what
do you think of Shador? And then be what would
you do if you were advising the Browns.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
I think he's fine.

Speaker 5 (01:52):
I do I think he is a lot guaranteed franchise
changing quarterback. No, I don't, but I do think you
need to keep in mind with what he did at
Colorado two years ago, they had one of the worst
offensive lines in the country, and last year of their
offensive line wasn't that much better. I mean, I do
think he's a dynamic player. I don't know why I'm

(02:15):
still hung up on cam Ward at number one being
a lock. I know I'm that kind of avoiding the
question here, kind of circumventing it. But if you're the
Titans in your Tennessee and your front office and your
coaching staff is in place, and you've gotten your new stadium,
I would still think about long and hard about taking
up Duel Carter number one, oh, knowing that next year

(02:36):
there's a good chance you're gonna stink again and you
are an inn to be in position for either nus
Meyer or arch Manning, who would be far and away
the number one pick this year.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
But I think if.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
Ward does go number one, I think, if you're the Browns,
what I would do. I would take Travis Hunter number two,
knowing you've got an impact receiver, defensive back, whatever you want,
and then trade back into the end of the first
round potentially to get a quarterback or take a courtquarter
back at the top of round two.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
All right, So, Chris, you know, you and I watch
a lot of college football. You're at games every weekend
all season. We see shit Horse Sanders, and he's kind
of crushing it. I mean, seventy percent accuracy. I know
he's a checkdown artist, but like you said, no offensive line,
no run game, and all season we say, oh, he's.

Speaker 6 (03:16):
Got to go one or two. He's definitely one of
the best players.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
And now here we are with like three months to
chew on it and you know, get in our own heads,
and suddenly he's like, according to Dane Brugler, he's like
the thirty fourth best prospect.

Speaker 6 (03:29):
I saw the Leacher Report at him as like a
third round pick.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Daniel Jeremiah has him as I think the nineteenth best prospect.
Talk about the disconnect between what we saw all season
and then what we do in the off season with
the film.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
I really don't know what it is.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
Like you hear like one thing with the team and
maybe I'm not going to interview or don't want to
go there or whatever it is. That kind of bothers
me a little bit. Is I am so big on
what we saw on the field. Yeah, And I don't
know how a guy can go from being the favorite
to be the number one pick, which he is back
in lock October or November, to being picked talked about
where he's going to go.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
Now, like if you look at his over under where
he's gonna go in the draft and say you and
a half.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
So obviously the people setting these odds aren't really overreacting
that to what you hear about. This guy might go
twenty or twenty one or fall out of the first
round completely.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
I still do think he's going to go very high.
I think we're gonna have him.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
Gonn is gonna go, will go higher than where most
people think he will. I think Jackson Dart will go
higher than where most people think you will will too,
because again it only takes one Teams love these quarterbacks,
and as a lot of people in the industry say, like,
you'd rather take the guy and miss than pass on
the guy and have him turn out to be great,
whether whatever percentage chance that it will be great.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
But I can see still see Shador going.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
Potentially very high should he even the Giants I think
could be in position to take him, because they clearly
with Russell Wilson and James Once you don't have long
term answers at the quarterback position.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
There, let me ask you remember a few years back, well,
maybe like five or six or seven years Mitched Trubisky,
who had one good year vaulted to be a top
five pick. There was another guy, Kenny Pickett.

Speaker 6 (05:12):
Nobody had ever heard of him.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
He has one good season, he becomes like the twentieth
overall pick. I don't want to put Jackson Dart in
that category of like coming out of nowhere, but Chris,
I mean, listen, all season in the SEC I saw
a good quarterback. I thought mid round, now there's this
Could he sniff the top fifteen? And I just again,
I have an issue with what I watched all season,

(05:35):
and then where the pundits are putting him now.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
I think the biggest issue, like you said, with Dart
is people who watched that Florida game on the road,
where all this had to do was beat a Florida
team that was down in the dumps at that point
in the air and they would have been in the
college football playoffs. And he struggled immensely in that game.
But from everything that I have heard, he's tested off
the charts. He's inter us have been fantastic. If you're

(06:02):
a team like the Steelers, who are again are going
to be in need of a quarterback, the Steelers are
never really in a position to They're never bad enough
where they're taking a quarterback at the top of the draft,
and they're never good enough where they're contending for a
super Bowl. So I think Dart where the Steelers are
taking and that could be something interesting to look at

(06:22):
his draft position right now with twenty four and a half.
I bet the under on that for as much as
I could, because I don't think there's any way he
falls out of like that top position in twenty four
has also been a position in the draft where that's
viewed as like a trade possible type position with the Vikings,
who have their quarterback in the future, maybe a team

(06:43):
like the Browns or and someone else might want to
trade back into the first round with the Vikings there.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
All right, I wanted to warm you up before I
just tee you off on Jaln Milroe again. For the
Milroe haters out there, go turn on the Georgia game
and you tell me he's not a potential stut Then
after you're done watching that, go the Oklahoma game where
he vomited all over something.

Speaker 6 (07:03):
Those interceptions were just like, what is he? What's he
looking at? Is this guy a high school quarterback.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
So no, but I can't you go run that forty
tape and he looks like an Adonis.

Speaker 6 (07:13):
He looks like he could be Well, that's the.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
Thing, you run the forty tape.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
But I mean that's not what the quarterback position is
even in the Michigan watch the ball game too, where
we just looked lost and who knows. I mean, he
got put in an offense this year which was different
from what he was used to when the coaching transition
took place from Nick Zabon to Calin Debora and the
new offense there, it's hard not to be enamored with

(07:41):
the athleticism there.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
But he's not someone that I'm going to.

Speaker 5 (07:45):
Be rushing to take in the first round or even
high in the second round. Maybe maybe there are quarterback
gurus out there and offensive coordinators and schemes out there
that can make something of this, but to me, it
looked like you're looking at a quarterback who who's best
work is done, where he's just kind of throwing the
ball deep to wide open receivers, running routes at.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
The college the college ranks.

Speaker 5 (08:07):
So I don't see him as a first round quarterback.
Am I rooting for him to succeed. Yes, I root
for all these guys to succeed, but I'm not quite there.
But that the fact that he got invited to Green
Bay leads you to believe that there's a little where
where there's a little bit of smoke this fire, and
the NFL obviously must have some uh some getting some

(08:27):
win there, that he will be a strong consideration for
the first round.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
So that would lean toward you'd be over two and
a half quarterbacks in the first round.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
Absolutely. I am absolutely over two and a half. And
I know they posted a big price out there. I
gotta lay like three dollars to win one hundred uh
on over two and a half. Because you're gonna get
Cam Wore, You're gonna get your door, You're gonna get Cam,
You're gonna get Jackson Dart and do you get a
fourth somebody get get get frisking and take a Jalen

(08:57):
Miller or a Tyler Shuck. I don't know, but if
you if you could get over three and a half
at a nice plus prize, I'll never deter you from
making a bet like that.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
But yeah, we're absolutely getting for me.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
If memory serves Greg Roman was the guy who was
hired in San fran to be the OC for Kaepernick.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
I think that's what it was.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
And then he was also the guy in Baltimore with
the other Harball brother who spearheaded Lamar Jackson start of
his career. So isn't there a world where you find
an offensive coordinator who can build an offense around your
athletic quarterback, because again, he's not Lamar Jackson, But remember
Lamar Jackson coming out of Louisville, nobody was thinking two
MVP awards and Kaepernick only I know he only had

(09:35):
a couple of years of prime, but like again, that
was a guy who was like, Holy hell, this guy's.

Speaker 6 (09:40):
Got some game.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
So isn't there a world where you take Milroe and
build the offense around him.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
Yeah, but again it's just a question of how high
do you want to go.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
I am always a guy who likes to take the
immediate impact player or the guy who you know has
a much higher chance of succeeding, whether it be a
pass usher, offensive lineman or a dB.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
Like a kind of a meat and potatoes type.

Speaker 5 (10:04):
Draft analysis is kind of how I view viewed by
team building. Whereas you've got a guy who maybe there's
a five percent chance he's elite, but there's a very
high bust rate. So like, if you're a team that's
got a lot of draft draft stock, and you've got
a bunch of second and third round picks, and you
can afford to take a quarterback like this in the

(10:25):
second round and maybe take your chances and you hit boom,
then great. But if you're a team with minimal picks
and lots of needs, I certainly think there's a way
you can go about it doing it better.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
All Right, you're a Jets guy. I'm a Jets guy.
Justin Fields is the band aid this year. Let's just
say chaudeurs on the board. When the Jets are drafting Chris,
do you have to at least consider Schador centers at seven?
Or is that too much noise and it's gonna put
pressure on Justin Fields and the New York media and

(10:55):
all that your thoughts.

Speaker 5 (10:57):
No, you absolutely have to consider it, because again, this
is a quarterback who had a ton of run and
the Bears, and the Bears cut the cord knowing that
he wasn't the answer.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
The Steelers had him last year, and the Steelers let
let him go.

Speaker 5 (11:11):
Like for the difference between what the Steelers got him
for and what the Jets gave up to give him
to get him, it is ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
This is the guy who's not the long term antry.

Speaker 5 (11:20):
He's a great guy to have as a backup quarterback quarterback,
it's hurt. You need to come in, you need to
play a game or two, fine, but he's not your
long term answer. I think you would absolutely have to
consider him if you're the Jets when he's on the board.
Ideally for the Jets, I think you're looking at either
Tyler Warren or Colson Loveland. Last year they were very

(11:41):
close to taking Brock Bauers, and we saw the impact
that Bauers had at that position.

Speaker 4 (11:45):
You've got two.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
Guys in Warren in Loveland who can be instant impact
players on offense with the quarterback like fields, who is
going to need someone to kind of be a security
blanket on the underneath stuff, make a catch a uh
and run after the catch type of plays. I think
both of those guys could be obediate impact players. I'm
the Jets, I'm I'm thinking long and hard about taking

(12:09):
Tyler Warren or Hulson Loveland with that pick Potania question,
if is there I would consider it?

Speaker 6 (12:16):
Did you say Loveland at seven?

Speaker 5 (12:20):
I'm just saying, like I know Joel Klatt has him
rated extremely high on the board, I wouldn't. I wouldn't
think Loveland would probably fall much lower than than the Colts.
But Warren, for sure, I think is more than worthy of.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
A top ten pack.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
All right, real quick, Ashton Genty, I'm sorry, I just
don't see it at six to the Raiders, but it
seems like according to the gambling odds, it's he's gonna
be going that eye.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
I I don't see it either.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
If you're the Raiders with so much need I know,
Peter Pete Carrol's an old school guy. Why would you
take Ashton Genty here when you know in the back
end of of the running back group, you've got uh
Trevan Henderson, You've got Quinn Shawn Judkins, You've got Dylan Samson,

(13:08):
You've got camp Scatabu, You've got Caleb john You've got
a bunch of guys who are gonna be there at
the top of the second round. So, like, I think,
taking whatever you want to do with six offensive lineman,
pass rusher deal, whatever, and then the top of the
second round you got a couple of running backs who
Chip Kelly's familiar with from his days in Ohio State
there Like, I think the bang for your buck is

(13:31):
much greater doing that than than taking out running back
in six and what a lot of people think is
the deepest running back group there. But I bet I
bet under nine and a half at plus money on
Ashtrion genty.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
You give yourself a little bit of a wiggle room
if the Raiders don't take.

Speaker 5 (13:46):
Him, the Bears pick at ten, and that's probably the
next logical spot where he would go.

Speaker 4 (13:50):
But you can still get.

Speaker 5 (13:52):
Over nine and a half at plus money on genty,
so that that would certainly be the way I would go,
because I agree with you, Jay Mac. I can't see
the Raiders why you could take him at six and
be good with that.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
All right, So earlier this week I did over unders
four bets.

Speaker 6 (14:07):
I like this season.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
Now it's early, we haven't seen the order of the
schedule which matters, or the draft, but I had Falcons
over seven and a half, Lions under ten and a half.
Lions schedule is arguably the toughest in the league. Seahawks
under seven and a half, commanders under nine and a half.
Anything you love there or hate and if you have
one fire away.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
I like the way you're thinking with the Vikings under
seven and a half now with a rookie quarterback, or
either the Seahawks coming the Seahawks under seven and a half,
but you bring in Donald who who left Minnesota offensive
line is shaky e louse DK Metcalf. You know the
Rams are going nowhere in that division. The Diners should
be back this year. Maybe not there, not thirteen and
four good, but they'll be better. Cardinals are what the

(14:50):
Cardinals are? The frisky team like under seven and a
half For me in Seattle is I like the way
you're thinking there. I want to see Donald do it
again and without all of those weapons on offense and
that head coach and that scheme. The only over under
I have bet so far is Giants under five and
a half.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
I just don't see how in that.

Speaker 5 (15:11):
Division with that nondivisional scheduled as well, that they're getting
six wins.

Speaker 6 (15:16):
Interesting. All right, I'll get you out of here on
this one. I heard you say earlier.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Next year the Browns could take arch Manning or and
I thought you said Nussmeyer.

Speaker 6 (15:24):
Is that the kid from LSU?

Speaker 4 (15:26):
Yeah? Oh my yes, Come on.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
Anyways, arch Manning spoke today about wanting to be at Texas.
I'm just curious, Chris, and I don't mean to slight
arch Manning. Do we know if he's good yet? We
know about the bloodline?

Speaker 4 (15:38):
We don't.

Speaker 6 (15:39):
I don't think we know.

Speaker 5 (15:41):
Now, don't We don't know if we believe what we
hear from from Texas in Texas practice from people that
I have spoken with, the team loves him. The team
gravitates to him more than they did yours. And he's
been great and looks the part in whole. But until
he goes out there, I mean, the sample size that
we got last year, he certainly looked like the potential

(16:04):
was there. But I would think this year we will
certainly find out one way or another. But again, that's
all part of the part of the thing with these quarterbacks.

Speaker 4 (16:11):
We it's it's kind of like.

Speaker 5 (16:12):
Drafting Chador or or or or Jalen Merrill. The hope
and the hype that these people are going to pan out.
Uh is great in the allure. The good thing with
a lot of people in college is you ready get
a full year now of arch Manning to uh to
prove it or or not. And the other thing with
Arch is we don't even know for sure he's not
gonna come.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
Back like he's he's a guy, that's that. Look.

Speaker 5 (16:35):
Peyton stayed all four years, Eli stayed all full like
like it's no lock that he even comes back.

Speaker 4 (16:40):
It's a good point or comes out rather.

Speaker 6 (16:42):
Yeah, I just do you?

Speaker 3 (16:44):
Are you gonna have an arch Manning Heisman ticket, just
like the way like I'm gonna have a Caitlin Clark
MVP ticket. I'm just going to just for the fun
of it.

Speaker 6 (16:52):
Arch MV.

Speaker 5 (16:53):
I probably will, just because if Texas is as good
as as they potentially could be, if Texas goes at
ten and two and wins the SEC, he's probably gonna
win the award. But I just hate the price on it.
I did bet Carson Beck to win the Heisman.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
Like Gosh, I had the ticket last year, ripped it
up and like Sebot.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
Don't look at last year, look at the year before
last year. He had no wide receiver hill whatsoever. He
had offensive line injuries all year long. Look now he's
gonna be in the in the ACC with an easier.

Speaker 5 (17:27):
Schedule forgot I am Miami God, he's got a game
right off the bat. But at the price you're gonna
get cart Carson Beck at twenty to one to win
the Heinsman, why not bet that right now? That was
that was my thought process last year with Travis Hunter.
Pick off good numbers that they're going to do nothing
but potentially go down during the course of the year.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
But yeah, twenty to one.

Speaker 5 (17:48):
Potentially, if Carson Beck goes out and has a great
game Week one and they beat Notre Dame, his price
is gonna be half that.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
Great point.

Speaker 6 (17:55):
Chris the Bear Felika.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
Check out the Bear Bets podcast with Jeff Schwartz. He's
on Big Noon Kickoff. Chris, Great stuff, man, I'll talk
to you soon.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
Take care, Bud, have great weekend, right, Chris Felka.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
Good stuff Coming up next boy Seeing on the screen.

We'll do that next.

Speaker 6 (18:34):
All right, excited for that, Alex Curry with the news.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
No turn on the news, this is the herd Line News.

Speaker 7 (18:43):
Well, j Mac, we've done a lot of draft talk today,
so we're going to keep it going with the quarterbacks,
because the Steelers are continuing their quarterback meeting carousel as
a welcome Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord for a visit. Now,
Pittsburgh also plans to visit with Shador Sanders, and of
course the team has been linked to Aaron Rodgers all
off season.

Speaker 8 (19:02):
Now, the Steelers still need a quarterback.

Speaker 7 (19:05):
And my question though, is how serious are they with
these young quarterbacks and drafting a quarterback or is this
a move to try to kind of light a fire
for Aaron Rodgers and let him know we're not afraid
to date a round and maybe find a younger quarterback.
But they got to do something, They got to figure

(19:25):
out something.

Speaker 8 (19:25):
They need a quarterback.

Speaker 3 (19:26):
Yeah, it's interesting, like look at that how it looks
on the screen. Steelers are hosting Kyle McCord and Chader Sanders.

Speaker 6 (19:34):
Is probably like, bro, what am I doing with this guy?

Speaker 7 (19:37):
So I'm McCord's on the NFL draft quarterback prospect He's
at seven.

Speaker 5 (19:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
If I'm Shuder, I'm like, bro, I'm a top five pick.
I'm a big top talent.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
Yea.

Speaker 6 (19:48):
Yeahs Ohio State, Ohis State didn't even say we want you.
They were just like, you're not the starter.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
Next year you can look out for where he goes
to Syracuse and crushed it.

Speaker 6 (19:56):
Yeah, but you know, Calhurd's a big believer in McCord.

Speaker 8 (20:00):
I don't that's kind of a position the Steelers are in.
They don't have a high first round. I don't think
that Shador is going to drop to the Steelers.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (20:09):
So it also goes into the belief of maybe Shoudor
is like having the meeting just in case.

Speaker 6 (20:16):
But that you think this is maybe a nudge to Aaron.

Speaker 8 (20:18):
Hey Rodgers, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (20:19):
You're gonna bring a quarterback.

Speaker 7 (20:20):
Yeah. Also like we're like no pressure, but pressure, you know,
like we need we need a quarterback. We need to
fill the most important position on the team.

Speaker 3 (20:29):
But is it pooper, get off the pot stop sitting
on the fence to side, just like, make a decision, bro,
come on, but what do you need another darkness retreat? Sorry,
I know Aaron Jones who was in here early.

Speaker 6 (20:39):
He's great earlier.

Speaker 7 (20:40):
This week, you know what, Rogers, you do have to
credit Rogers because every single former teammate that has come
in and talked about Aaron Rodgers sings his prey, well,
so what come in the one that we've had on
the show. When I've been in and hear talk about it,
they all love Aaron Rodgers and say that they done

(21:00):
a lot for their career, not only as a veteran,
but this was as a rookie.

Speaker 8 (21:05):
Like he's the reason that, like Aaron Jones got pulled in.
He said.

Speaker 7 (21:08):
It was literally Rogers like going, hey, I want him in,
put him in now, and that's how we got a shot.
I'll be nicer to Yeah, sorry it didn't work out
with you and your jets.

Speaker 6 (21:17):
I know you're bitter, very mild. But he's also like
he's not.

Speaker 7 (21:22):
The same caliber MVP player he was, but he is
still a great quarterback option if you don't have anybody.
So it's just like, is he where's he gonna come?
We're still on Rogers watch once again. Well, we know
that he's listening. He's looking at the ocean, watching the dolphins,
the air pods in Okay, let's move to Arizona because

(21:44):
Marvin Harrison Junior's rookie season didn't quite go as well
as some as predicted. Four rookie pass catchers had over
one thousand yards, and Harrison was not one of them.
His quarterback, Kyler Murray, talked about how Marvin as he
prepares for a second year.

Speaker 8 (21:58):
He said he didn't have the.

Speaker 7 (21:59):
Season he wanted to have, regardless of the expectations. I
definitely think he could have had a better season and
believes that too. I think something that is underrated is
people don't understand. You know, from each level jump, whether
it's high school to college or to the NFL, there's
a level there's a period where the game has to
slow down for you. But it was also kind of

(22:21):
a historic year pass for rookie pass catchers. You have
four rookies with over one thousand yards. I mean he
wasn't too far behind. Marvin had eight hundred and eighty
five receiving yards, but he also wasn't the number one
target like all of these other guys that had over
a thousand yards. They were their number one targets on

(22:44):
their team, their tight end, Trey McBride was a number
one target for the Cardinals.

Speaker 6 (22:49):
So Alex, we look at that quote, definitely think he
could have had a better season. If you go do
a radio show after.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
This and they're like, yeah, how was the show today, well,
I think I definitely think Jason could have had a
better show, I'd be like.

Speaker 8 (22:59):
Call it amount.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
Excuse me, Yeah, it's tough. Well you did Kyler was
awesome and slay dragons is your command?

Speaker 8 (23:07):
No, I mean we we know how you feel about
Kyler earlier today. No, it's okay. I still think Cardinals
will try to find their identity.

Speaker 7 (23:15):
They haven't figured it out yet, and they're in a
tough division, like Rams are going to be great. We
don't know what Seattle's going to be now with Darnold,
but they have Cooper cup and him and maybe it'll
work out both of.

Speaker 8 (23:26):
Them in new places.

Speaker 7 (23:28):
And the forty nine ers, like again, don't know what
they're gonna be, but I don't think they're going to
finish fourth again like Cardinals are.

Speaker 8 (23:33):
It's still kind of feeling like they might be the
fourth team in the NFC West. It's just we haven't
seen it yet. From Kyler Murray.

Speaker 7 (23:45):
Didn't quite have the I guess you want say, live
up to the high expectations of being that high of
a draft pick because he was drafted fourth.

Speaker 8 (23:54):
He was the first wide receiver.

Speaker 7 (23:55):
Taken, and all the other ones behind him had those
thousand yard seasons, So I mean that that's going to
happen when you're a high draft pick regardless. But he's
a good player. He grew up in the game. Dad's
a legend, So it's like he's going to figure it out.
It's going to figure it out, and hopefully Tim and
Kyler can figure it out and he becomes his top
target because that's also going to help him get the

(24:17):
yards and more catches.

Speaker 8 (24:18):
Obviously.

Speaker 7 (24:19):
Okay, let's end. In the NBA, the Suns have been
a disaster and it's not getting better. They've lost eight
games in a row. Kevin Durant is hurt, and there's
no real way to get better unless they make a
massive trade.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
Now.

Speaker 7 (24:30):
Devin Booker has been committed to remaining in Phoenix, but
probably has the most trade value on the roster. I mean,
the writing's on the wall, right, Katie's going to be
traded this offseason. There were the rumors at the trade deadline,
which I'm sure didn't help with any chemistry and didn't
help with his emotions around staying with the team. But

(24:54):
I mean they've only won one playoff series since trading
for Katie against the Clippers and then got wept in
the next round against Minnesota. I mean they got to
do something. They got to do something to mix it up.
Do you think they should trade Booker?

Speaker 6 (25:08):
I would keep Booker and do whatever I could to
move off Bradley Deal and Kevin Duran Interesting. Yeah, Booker's
a guy they drafted it.

Speaker 8 (25:15):
He wants to stay.

Speaker 6 (25:16):
Yeah, he wants to stay.

Speaker 7 (25:18):
Durant's not be for the lady. Would have the most,
he'd have the most value. Yeah, so you're gonna get
the most bang for your mouth. You think Kendall Jenner
wants him with the Clippers or Lakers.

Speaker 6 (25:27):
I had to get into.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
Well, I'm not doing TikTok really, but someone sent me
a great Kendall Jenner TikTok from like two years ago,
and I'm like, that's cool.

Speaker 6 (25:34):
I need to get on TikTok more. That's about the
extent of Mike.

Speaker 8 (25:37):
We talked about this.

Speaker 7 (25:38):
You're you're on Instagram, so you'll see the tiktoks like
two weeks after they trend.

Speaker 6 (25:42):
Yeah, all right, Alex Curry.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
With the news.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
Well that's the news, and thanks for stopping by the
Herd Line News.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
All right, Alex and I are symbiotic. I don't even
know if that's the right word in that we don't
like to totally go on social media during the show.
You got to stay locked in the laser focused. Can't
be dissuaded by these keyboard warriors yelling at you. So
earlier in the show, we did top five players in
the NBA under the most pressure in these playoffs.

Speaker 6 (26:10):
Okay, and we'll get it here on the street in
a moment.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Herd weekdays
and Noone Eastern non am Pacific.

Speaker 9 (26:17):

Everything life, sports, relationships, what's.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
Going on in the world.

Speaker 9 (26:35):
We have a lot of fun talking about the stories
behind the stories in the world of sports and pop culture,
stories that well other shows don't seem to have the
time to discuss. And the fact that we've been friends
for the last twenty years and still work together. I
mean that says something, right, So check us out. We
like to get you involved too. Take your phone calls,
chop it up. As they say, I'd say the most
interactive show on Fox Sports Radio, maybe the most interactive

(26:58):
show on planetar. Be sure to check out Cabino and
Rich live on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app
from five to seven pm Eastern two to four Pacific,
And if you miss any of the live show, just
search Covin on Rich wherever you get your podcast, and
of course on social media that's Cabino and Rich.

Speaker 6 (27:14):
Truth be told. I came into work today. Jason Tatum
was not on this list.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
We were floating names and Jason Tatum lambs on the
list and I am weirdly the Jason Tatum defender in
this building.

Speaker 6 (27:29):
He gets so many people.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
Take it shots at him from Coward, the guys on
the facility of the morning. I think Nick and Broussard
and those guys, I think they're not on Tatum. And
now I'm getting yelled at as I like an idiot,
took a peek because a buddy of mine who is
connected to a Celtics players sent me the Lincoln is
like bro Tatum. And again I love Jason Tatum. I

(27:52):
think he is an alpha. I think he's a top
five player in the league. Yes, top five player in
the league. He's gonna be all NBA Top five MVP again.
Led the Celtics and pointy bounds and assists in the
playoffs and in the finals. I do kind of sort
of buy, Hey man, what happened to the Olympics ticked
him off? You know, he wants revenge on Kerr and Curry.
They beat him in the finals a couple of years ago.

(28:13):
Kerr ends up essentially benching him at the Olympics. I
know there's a who do you pull out for him?
I mean, play everybody, dude, it's the Olympics.

Speaker 6 (28:20):
You guys are rolling.

Speaker 9 (28:21):
You know.

Speaker 6 (28:23):
I don't want Tatum thinking I'm.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
Not a fan, because I am, and I do take
this stuff personally when real good dudes, good athletes, great players.
You know, Tatum is one of these guys, Alex on Ig.
You can't tag him. He don't want to hear about
him smart So Kevin Durant, you could tag him and
he'll basically reply to you instantly.

Speaker 6 (28:43):
A lot of other players you could tag. You can't
tag Tatum. He just doesn't.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
And I think, and this is a bigger discussion, Alex,
but there are some guys who just don't care what
the outside noise is. And I'm not gonna lie to you.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
Guys.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
There's a world where I'm in that group. I've been
called all the names. Yeah, I see you. I get
tweets like Jason whackintire and I'm like, oh, that's what
I don't care. Block it's done. You know, I don't
mind that these gremlins come after me and say all
this stuff. My wife's calls me the unbothered King. I
don't really get rattled by people saying stuff or you know,

(29:20):
I'm getting yelled at.

Speaker 6 (29:22):
I just don't really care. I'm kind of in my
own world, and I think that could.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
Be what's going on with Tatum, because I don't know
that he totally cares about not being the finals MVP.

Speaker 6 (29:32):
Do you think he actually cares?

Speaker 8 (29:33):
It's great.

Speaker 7 (29:35):
Listen, if you're not going to ask for advice from
these people, and they're not people you take advice from.

Speaker 8 (29:40):
Why would you listen to their feedback?

Speaker 6 (29:42):
Who said that? Somebody said there, It's just it's.

Speaker 7 (29:43):
Something I've lived by since getting into this industry and
social media was such a big thing because it's hard
when you first get into it. It's very loud and
you have to learn to kind of put your blockers
up and stay in your lane.

Speaker 6 (29:56):
Paige bucker Buker, she's the one who said it this week.

Speaker 7 (29:59):
Yeah, it's it's it's really it's it's a smart thing
to do. But also, I don't think it's a big
deal saying that he has.

Speaker 6 (30:07):
The most pressure in the playoffs.

Speaker 7 (30:08):
You're not saying it's not it's not a bad thing.
I don't think it's a bad thing at all. It
just means there's gonna be a lot of eyeballs and
high expectations on him.

Speaker 8 (30:16):
They're not trade and he's still great.

Speaker 4 (30:18):
Yeah, he's not got.

Speaker 6 (30:18):
Nothing to worry about the trade.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
By the way, I still believe my if Jannis ass out,
I would give up Jaalen Brown and pretty much whatever
else and get Jannis with Tatum on the Celtics Now.
That day, I think it was one of my spicy
your takes in the last couple of months.

Speaker 6 (30:31):
We'll see if Jana's ass out.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
It's a trending that way right, Pretty decent Thursday show, Alex,
don't I mean, yeah, we'll be back tomorrow hopefully see
you then.
