On Thursday and the commercial on Saturday during basketball games
this weekend. Speaking of hot dogs, let's talk about the
American pastime.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Ah out to the ball day, Take me out to
the crowd.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
What they gonna buy?

Speaker 6 (01:46):
You?

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Buy me some peanuts and crack or jack your mind.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
I don't care if I ever get back.

Speaker 5 (01:54):
Well, who are rooting for Root?

Speaker 4 (01:57):
Root for the whole day? They don't win? His shame?

Speaker 5 (02:03):
Here we go one, two, two, three out at.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
The Oh boy, sir, I feel like we have the
game right now.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
I know, hey, you know this.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
I was on an MLB network earlier this week on
I was watching you at my job, the job.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Jackie Robinson, Dad was on, and the conversation turned to
one so too. We all know New York Mets right
FIELDO signed for seven one hundred and sixty five million dollars,
as you know, all guarantee, right all, and he's been

(02:49):
struggling with the New York Metropolitans. I think it was
one for twenty two, one for twenty two, oh two
for twenty two, I should say after he made it
the first out of the inning, it was two for
twenty two, and then he had an RBI single tonight
so he didn't get a hit an a run, which
is great, but he's been scuffling. And you know, on

(03:11):
Tuesday I said it was time to officially call him
once so and we know how baseball goes. This guy
is one of the best players in the game. Right,
there's no defens or buts about that. But is it
foul or fair to talk about his struggles even though

(03:34):
we're not a month into the season.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
I'm gonna let you start first. Is it Is it
foul affair?

Speaker 1 (03:42):
I think I think it's foul right now because of
how early the season is. And we know for a
fact baseball is a long season, and we went to marathon.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
We know a marathon.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
And we also know how many guys historically have started bad.
One of his old teammates, Tattis Junior, started baut a
couple of seasons ago and then got it was able
to get it rolling. Aaron Judges started off okay, then
had a bad stretch last year last April, and then
got it back going again. So we've seen this in
recent history. We've seen this all the way back in
long history. So that can happen from a batting average,

(04:15):
getting your swing back, home run, standpoint, But where it
is fair to criticize and call him so so is
him not understanding a few things, Rob, And that is brother,
nobody is gonna give you empathy, and nobody wants to
hear excuses anymore. Now that you are the seven hundred
and sixty million dollar man, nobody wants to hear. Aw Man,

(04:36):
it's just not the same. I'm not hitting behind Aaron Judge.
But you can't say that now, I know why would
he Why would he say that on the record. I'll
tell you why, Rob, because he's not used to understanding.
You're now the Derek Jeter of how Derek g was
the face of the Yankees. You're now Clinton Kershaw is
the face of the Dodgers, where what you say matters

(04:57):
when you were just one of the guys and yeah,
your star, but you know, we really look for this
person and this person this person, We don't necessarily come
for you for what you're gonna say.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
You are the face of this team and the franchise.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
So when you say, while you're struggling, oh man, it
was just so good, I had an easy hitting behind
Aaron Jude.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Exactly been hit.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
By Pete A. Lonzo I think you're doing all right.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
And Pete is having a good season. Pete's playing well.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Exactly, so I think he's not understanding all By the way,
when I pay you this, Patrick Mahomes, you you know
what I'm saying, give an example of Lebron Steph. You're
the face of a franchise now, so nobody wants to
hear excuses, especially this early on just saying.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
I gotta get down to it.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
I gotta see the ball better, I gotta, you know,
have a better approach at my at bats. Don't make
excuses about and already talk about your X already.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
So that part of if you want to criticize him
and call.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Him handling the media, handling the pressure, I think it's
fair to say he's won so so with that, but
it's too early. I think this foul to really criticize
right now. Three home runs batting by was the two
twenty ish. I think I think he can get that rolling.
But I think he has to have an adjustment on
his approach of being the face of the league, face
of a franchise, just to say, answering questions, handling the media,

(06:08):
and also how he is having his REPORTAIS team because
I don't want to hear that you're about to talk
about your other team.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
Who was this and who was that?

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Already, It's not like you're reflecting five years later. So yeah,
so I think it's filed a question. I think can
get the bat warming up. But again, how he's handling
the rest of the stuff, it's fair to criticize.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Yeah, I just think that the same way if he
was batting three forty in Raking, we would be going crazy.

Speaker 6 (06:32):
Huh.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
So it's just natural to take a look.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Just because he's being called one so so doesn't mean
that he's going to be wan so so all year
before the season started. And I'm not patting myself on
the back. I'm just giving you poof for performance. I
said this that he would struggle early on with the Mets.
I've seen other star players. Francisco Lindor got went there right, struggle,

(06:59):
you remember that, and people wanted to run him out
of town. And then all of a sudden, now they
love him, right because he Yeah, because he's turned it
around and he's fine. And I know people think, well,
he's still playing in New York. You play with the
Yankees and Mets are different teams. And I think that's
where uh one maybe before with the lineup with the

(07:22):
Yankees and different stuff, he can just as you don't
talked about. He's one of a couple of pieces. When
you go to the Mets and you sign that deal,
you are the piece.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
You're the piece. You're the piece. It's a whole party.
Ain't no sliced up. It's a whole part.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Yes, and teams now they do pitch to you differently.
We're not gonna let Wan Soto beat us right, No, exactly.
And that's to me.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
When you you have to, I would imagine if it
ain't all about it, I mean it's about the money,
but I mean it's when you take the money, you
have to consider everything and consider that. Now again things
change around you. They're pitching you who you are. You
might not have as much support you're not. Uh this
isn't show hey coming to the Dodgers with Freddie Freeman
and Mookie Betts and Max Muntsey and all these other

(08:10):
guys behind Will Smith and so on and so forth.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
You don't have all of that. You got talent, but
not all that. So you're not with the Yankees as
you were last season. So to me, again, you have
to anticipate that, right, you have to know this is
gonna happen. You also have to know rob slumps are
gonna happen. Is baseball, so you don't have to be
down to the dumbs and already.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Right, and it's not he's got a fourteen year contract.
This is the first three weeks.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
Due relax, it's been a few weeks. You'll be fine.
You don't need to bring up your ex already.

Speaker 6 (08:36):
Right.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
It was weird that he would even say that to
the newspaper. This wasn't like he's saying exactly like.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
Like this is it.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
The best part, by the way, was Judge already kind
of I don't wanna say refuting it, but like instead
of being like, oh man, he's so complimenting, that's my guy,
he was like, no, no, no, man, he's got some
guys over there. Alonso is a beast, right he like
he kind of like, I don't want to don't.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
Make it about me.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
He's got talent over there, he's good over there. I
don't want to just sit up here and make it like,
oh you should have left me. So I like how
Aaron Judge responded to.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
That, I agree and moan soda, we know what kind
of player he is. No one's saying he's gonna be
a bum for fourteen years with the Mads and he's
not gonna be great.

Speaker 5 (09:18):
Is this year one with the Padres?

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Yeah, where it was just like ah, man, it was
just okay, we go, we got we got many Machado,
we got tattoos, Junior, we got one.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
So you're like, right when you thought when they got
him and it didn't pan out.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
And I think there have been a history of guys
who have gone to the medsine from whatever. I have
no idea why. The first year just doesn't seem to
be the same. And I don't know if teams just
decide that's the big guy and we'll go after other people,
do you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (09:50):
And that's why I'm wondering, is this the first year
of the Padres with him or is this the most
of the season, especially the postseason with the Yankees. You
know where you're like, man, he's coming up there.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
And last year it's a different team, a different ballpark,
like Yankee Stadium, like with with the small right field porch,
it was a different It's a different crowd, and the
Mets have their own team, you know, team and fans.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
They're not selling out every night. We were. We're sitting
here watching the games every night.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Right, the games are sold out of Yankee Stadium almost
every night of the Tuesday night.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
You got a big crowd.

Speaker 5 (10:27):
They're like, we're here, come on, Judge hit all of that.
So I think I think he's gonna be fine. Again,
I don't.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
He has big he has a big enough track record
that you know he's going to be.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
But yeah, I think Scott Boris and the crew also
sit him down and understand, man, young man, this is
a long game, long season, long career, and you you.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
Know, and also help them with.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
The leadership into this so that you can make it
as you know, as as tension free, as media drama
free as possible, as as a leader, not just part
of understanding.

Speaker 5 (11:02):
Hey man, you don't have to speak about this. You
don't have to.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
You know, it's okay to give shorter and hey, look,
you know right now the bad ain hitting.

Speaker 5 (11:07):
But it's a long season. I'm sure I'll fix you. Boom.
That's a great hend, you know what I mean, Right,
you don't have.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
To to get into the right the Yankees and Judge
and all that.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
It just sounds like he'll learn that because I think again,
I think he's twenty six, and I think it's his
first time looking at as you are singularly. You know
the guy now, and there's a part of that that
you got to learn. And I think a lot of
athletes they forget that part of If your John Morant,
I'm just twenty one. I'm twenty two at the time,
you know, twenty three living my life. I'm having fun,

(11:35):
I got money, I'm with my boys that I grew
up with. It's like, yeah, but you're also the face
of a franchise.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
Now, Chess is the name of a city.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Yeah, And and and they've poured resources into you, they've
poured money.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
They're here to and and you got to act accordingly.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
And I think sometimes young people forget that, Like, it's
not just the money, it's also.

Speaker 5 (11:54):
You leading in organization.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
We're paying you for that as well, not just the hits,
home runs and the great catches.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
All right, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
I'll be curious to see where people say eight seven
seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine is it
foul or fair to call onan Soto one so so
in the first month of the season. Are people just
being way too oversensitive about this?

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Or is this does it fit? Or is this just
about the money he makes?

Speaker 3 (12:24):
He makes seven hundred and sixty five million dollars, So
when you're batting two twenty, people aren't gonna call you out.

(13:22):
Who's gonna go pro and to which team? We'll find
out what the NFL Draft that's happening this coming Thursday.
You can find out on Fox Sports Radios Draft Night Live,
which is next Thursday night at a pm Eastern. Throughout
the first round of the draft, insider j Glazer, former
Jets general manager Joe Douglas, College Football Hall of Favor
LaVar Arrington, and Fox Sports League College football reporter Jenny Taff.
They're gonna pick by half, pick by pick, predictions and

(13:45):
reactions to every first round pick. That's next Thursday, eight
Eastern right here, first Round of the Draft Live on
Fox Sports Radio, presented by Express Pros. We got Robin
and I have been talking about Juan Soto or should
I say? Is Rob coind them one? So so he's
been so sold this far throughout the season. Is a
fair and foul to call him that, maybe criticize his

(14:06):
game thus far?

Speaker 5 (14:07):
What do you say? Eight seven, seven ninety nine on
Fox Who we got?

Speaker 4 (14:10):
Let's kick it off with Dre in Massachusetts. You're on
the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Dray?

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Hey?

Speaker 7 (14:17):
How you doing, Thanks for taking the call. Listen completely
in bounds, fair and appropriate to call one SODO one.
So so after his lackluster average start of the season,
you take the money, you put yourself on center stage.
You have to come. You have to take all that
comes with that. And that is the issue with playing
in New York. It's an issue with playing with Steve Cohen,
who has you know, more money than people can even imagine.

(14:39):
But what now you have the expectations to go along
with it. And I'm telling you the Mets it's their
time to shine. When they brought in Bucks Show Walter
a couple of years ago. You know, all the money
that Cohen has invested in this team, you know he
expects results, and so that on top of it, you
know they want to be right up there with the Yankees,
and so I think Soto is built for it. You know,
he's position himself as his pirate on the high seats,

(15:02):
who's gonna go to the highest bidder. So now that
what comes with that is you know people are going
to criticize you when when you do wrong. So I'm
hoping that he comes, he recovers, But that New York,
New York spotlight Rob you know is different, Okay, and
so you know, for me one, shame on you, for
me twice, shame on me. If he doesn't pick it up,
this might become a trend and carriageway through the whole season.

Speaker 6 (15:21):
I hope not. Thanks taking the call.

Speaker 4 (15:23):
Yeah, I appreciate it, Thank you, Dre.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
And and the other thing too is and you know this, uh,
it just codes with the territory. If he was lighting
it up, they'd be talking about how great he is,
what a decision, you know what I mean, And they
would be giving him massive props. He's a conversation piece, good,
bad or indifferent. They're gonna talk about Wan Soto. That's
just how it is him to know that, right, Trey

(15:47):
in Texas, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (15:50):
What's up, Tray, gentlemen, what you say? I'm good? Gon,
hear you?

Speaker 6 (15:57):
I feel good? Evening?

Speaker 5 (15:58):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (15:59):
How are you good?

Speaker 3 (16:01):
Man?

Speaker 7 (16:02):
Hey?

Speaker 8 (16:02):
Man, he's a stock man.

Speaker 6 (16:09):
Hey, it's that big of.

Speaker 8 (16:10):
A problem retire or something.

Speaker 6 (16:13):
Man just comes with the territory of having a big
old contract like that. He's gotta suck it up and
get over it.

Speaker 5 (16:21):
Yeah, yeah, I told hey, listen, he ain't gonna get
no empathy.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
People are not gonna be once you make that kind
of money, don't nobody want to hear nothing?

Speaker 3 (16:27):
Right expect you got what seven hundred and sixty five
million dollars. Yeah, you must be all world. You're gonna
get a hit every time up. Obviously we know that's
not the case, but we want to hear it. Yeah,
when you get off to a slow start and then
I think, what just to me, what made it weird
is just for him to bring up Aaron Judging.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Yeah, you can't bring it, bring Rob when you get
back in relationships, whenever that'll be.

Speaker 5 (16:54):
You can't be like old from now.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
I'm gonna be like, yeah, my old girl. She's dying now.
But I'm just saying sorry about that.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Yeah, well, you know when Betty was alive, boy, I
tell you, boy, when Betty was here, she used to
you know, God bless her dad, but Betty used to.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
I tried to call b Arthur, you know what, I mean,
to go out for a date. Guess her phone was dead,
so I guess I couldn't.

Speaker 7 (17:19):
Right.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Let me ask you this, Alex Alice. We've been wanting
to hear this. Uh, we've been wanting to hear what
Martin wants to know. Martin might even know already. What's
the oldest you would go.

Speaker 6 (17:31):
For me? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (17:32):
Or just are dating purposes?

Speaker 5 (17:35):
Yeah, I'm saying, would you date a sixty year old woman?

Speaker 6 (17:38):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (17:38):
No way, he would Hold on, Alex let him answer.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
Hold on, this is easy, Alex.

Speaker 5 (17:44):
Let him answer.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
Definitely. Men don't date women there their age soul would.

Speaker 5 (17:49):
Be mean, mean older man. Don't know, Kelvin.

Speaker 9 (17:53):
What we're finding is the one thing that Rob Parker
and Bill Belichick have in common.

Speaker 5 (17:57):
That is what it has to be a thirty year
difference in age.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
No, but but the difference Martin is I'm not out
here sporting a twenty some odd year.

Speaker 9 (18:07):
Old that's just like cause they don't have hard knocks
at the radio.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Hey Martin, Hey Martin, I'm gonna add to that. You
know what else y'all have it coming?

Speaker 3 (18:16):
Rob?

Speaker 1 (18:16):
What's that y'all like hanging out on college campuses? I
tell you, only one difference is I'm working. Yeah, all right,
Rob keeps signing up USC. Y'all got any more of
the contracts?

Speaker 5 (18:31):
Y'all got any more?

Speaker 4 (18:33):
Do it for promotions?

Speaker 5 (18:34):
No?

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Rob, Actually we don't have any money. It's okay, don't
worry about it, as long as you know.

Speaker 4 (18:39):
You know, I'm getting paid.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
All right.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
Let's like I was gonna do charity.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
I gonna answer the question, what forty five fifty thirty eight?

Speaker 3 (18:49):
I mean like thirty eight forty that's about right, forty two.

Speaker 4 (18:57):
Forty five A right?

Speaker 5 (19:01):
Can we get the forty eight?

Speaker 6 (19:03):
Nah? No way, no.

Speaker 9 (19:07):
You see, Rob says all this, but there's no thirty
five year old as a thirty five year old man,
there's no thirty five year old will stood in your
couch and watch black and white TV. So you're gonna
have to kick it up a notch. I'm just saying
you got.

Speaker 7 (19:20):
To do that.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
I want to agree with you, Martin, except the problem
is these ladies like baller bellies, and they're like an
older dude with some money.

Speaker 5 (19:27):
I'm pull up in that thing.

Speaker 7 (19:28):
Now.

Speaker 5 (19:30):
Why you gotta call him? Well, no, he know what
I'm talking about.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
I don't have a baller belly.

Speaker 5 (19:36):
I'm sorry, No, you don't know more. But you don't
know any more about about two months ago.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
Unbelievable. You're trying to say Rob wasn't walking in the
door first.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
That's all right. Hey, I'll take my twenty pounds off.
You know in two months.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
I'm listen. I have been saying. I've told you, I'm
saying your praises. Even at my other job, I tell
everybody were talking about how's the shougg going. We talked
about someone say Rob is doing his thing, he's committed.
I give him, give him credit. So all right there,
you're happy for all of you listening right now? Who think,
Oh this live rock park It's so crazy.

Speaker 5 (20:05):
If you're over forty five and a half, it's a rap.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
I just wanted to make the set down. But still
listen to us, keep rocking with us. We ain't saying Lee,
I'm just saying, listen to us for entertainment.

Speaker 5 (20:18):
I'm not romantic.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
I remember we can always still be friends.

Speaker 6 (20:21):
Ryan.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
Yeah, I'm a couple of coffee Sweeter roll. You know
it's funny kid on discuss AARP.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
Forty five is closer to retirement than Rob Parker's financial investment.

Speaker 5 (20:32):
That is big, big factual.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
All right, there you have it right there, all right,
coming to you live from the Tireck dot Com studios.
It is Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington. They cup on
a funky flashback Friday, and we'll join out Jonathan von
Tobel v SIN, senior NBA analysts and hosts of Prime
Time on v SIN and me JVT on X.

Speaker 5 (20:53):
Make sure you given a follow Jonathan Man, what's up?
How you doing?

Speaker 4 (20:56):
What's happening?

Speaker 6 (20:57):
I'm good man, I'm excited. This postseason should be awesome.
Today has been great and I'm looking forward to the
game tonight between Memphis and Dallas.

Speaker 5 (21:05):
You pumped up, You're all in.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
Where's the money going as far as the NBA playoffs?
Give us give us a is it going on the
old heads and the teams that and players that we
know are people are ready to spread some money on
the younger, newer teams?

Speaker 4 (21:19):
Okay, Ses Houston and stuff like that. Where's the money going?

Speaker 6 (21:23):
So it depends on where you look, and you bring
up Houston. Money came in on Houston in that series
against Golden State that opened up really high. Warriors remind
us two fifty favorites, it's down to minus one sixty
five multiple spots, so a lot of better stuff that
that price is a little too high on Golden State
against Houston. So you saw some money come in there. Detroit.
The young team again kind of getting that vibe. They're

(21:45):
getting a little bit of money. That was as high
as minus four fifty in favor of New York. That's
down to minus like three eighty. So the Pistons are
getting a little bit of love in that one. And
the old Heads. I guess these are two kind of
oldest teams anyway, But we had a flip of favorites
and Clippers and Nuggets's we're as high as minus one ninety.
Clippers are now minus one twenty to win that thing,
and wow, not real much movement for the anything else,

(22:07):
but the Clippers have been the big move a lot
of support for La.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Yeah, I mean that just goes to show you talk
about a Kawhi Leonard being healthy, be healthy, buying that's
always the issue, is it.

Speaker 6 (22:17):
Yeah, Yeah, Look, I'm a Clippers fan, so like I
can tell you all about the disappointment of Kawhi Leonard
hasn't finished the postseason series since twenty twenty one, but
when he's an out there, they've been absolutely tremendous and
I mean, as you guys know, they've been the best
team in the NBA. Are one of the best teams
in the NBA. Since the start of March, they've been
absolutely incredible, and he's been playing at a near fifty
forty ninety clip, And I think the Mark is just

(22:38):
finally seeing that, Hey, look when they're all together and
they're playing well, this is one of the best teams
in the NBA. We shouldn't even exclude Zubach or Harden
in the way that they're playing. So pretty interesting to
see this big support for La and make him big
favorites here in this series.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
In Denver, the New York Nickabockers and Tims. They can't
lose this series, can they. I mean, I'm talking about
from from where they went a year ago to getting
knocked out in the first round after they get call
Anthony Towns. It would be a huge disappointment if that happened.

Speaker 6 (23:12):
Yeah, I think it would be. The odds would dictate that, right.
I mean, they're still about four dollars minus three eighty
favorites to win that series, so by pure it would
be a pretty big disappointment. But I don't know, man, Like,
I think Keate Cunningham is gonna cost some pretty big
problems for that team. He's big, he's bulky. He's gonna
go after Jalen Brunson. That's gonna be a mismatch. He's
actually performed really well in the in the regular season

(23:33):
series against this team throughout the regular season, so they're
gonna have some problems containing him. Obviously, as you know,
the Pistons have done such a great job was surrounding
him with shooting, and that could probably bother at perimeter
defense that has been pretty shaky throughout the entire year.
And then of course you have the fact that they're
a good offensive rebounding team. I think it's that they
win that series. But like my favorite bet in that

(23:53):
series was actually over five and a half games, so
you get like six or seven games. I think it's
gonna be a long series. I think the Pistons can
make them sweat there a little bit. I think the
Knicks eventually win, but I think it'll be longer than
most people think it will be.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
Well, I like what you said, because Kelvin and I
have as bet two hundred dollars Max on the Jordans.

Speaker 4 (24:10):
Is that cool?

Speaker 5 (24:12):
Kelvin's that's fine, all right?

Speaker 3 (24:13):
So we have a Jordans bet on that series and
I'm feeling real good.

Speaker 5 (24:17):
I like the size ten.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
I size thirteen for me, so I can't wait, and
then I'll trade him down to eleven.

Speaker 5 (24:26):
He got.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
I won't waste Jonathan Tyer to argue about you with
that right now and talk about your size eleven. Uh,
let me ask you that I do I like k
cutting him. I think he's gonna act up this postseason.
But let me go to the Lakers a little bit here, Jonathan,
What was it like, maybe two months or so ago
before Luca and now what the money's like with the
Lakers post Luca.

Speaker 6 (24:47):
Yeah, so it depends on where you look right. So,
Like I'm in Vegas, so we're a Laker town. Like
they used to come out here and play those games
down at the Thomas the Max Center. You have the
Kings preseason games, like this is a Laker city. So
you're always going to get a little bit more splint
toward the Lakers at the window that most places, and
especially right around the time. I mean you talk to
some oddsmakers out here, those odds are always shorter than
they should be, even when they're playing prior to the

(25:10):
Luca trade, and then since the Luca trade. I mean,
they just said they were inundated with money. Odds makers
couldn't make them short enough here in Las Vegas before
they finally started to get that thing down, and you
even see here in the series against Minnesota. I mean
this thing opened up in some spots like a buck eighty.
We're up to minus two hundred now and a couple
of other places. So there is some public support for
the Los Angeles Lakers, and I get it to an extent.

(25:31):
I mean, look, they've been playing extremely well. I actually
think the best coach on the floor is going to
be JJ Reddick and not Chris Finch. I think he's
done a tremendous job to this point, and they can
provide some problems like the cop I keep using. If
you guys remember the last version of Utah with Rudy
Gobert when they were playing teams like the Clippers or
the Mavericks, when Jaylen Brunton was still there. Those teams
were playing five out and they were just dribble driving

(25:53):
and they were taking Gobert out of the paint. And
the Lakers can do that because they're kind of a
small team and they can shoot from all five positions
and They've hurt certain lineups out there, and I think
that's going to stress the Timberwolves out. And they don't
have an answer for Lucas still. I mean, Luca abused
them and they don't really have a defender. McDaniels gives
up like fifty pounds to them, Anthony Edwards can't contain them.
I think it's going to be a Lakers series. I
think the price is a little too high, but I

(26:14):
think they're rightful favorites.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
How about a you were talking about the Pistons in
Knicks five and a half, anything else juicy out there,
you know that people might want to jump in on.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
As far as a bet, Yeah, So.

Speaker 6 (26:30):
I think there's probably a couple of things you can do.
I mean, so for example, like Golden State and Houston,
I think they can win that. You can still get
like plus one sixty for Houston to win that series.
I think that's a pretty good series bet to make.
I think that they can win that thing out right.
I think the price is a little too high. I
thought it was going to be like Warriors minus one twenty,
not minus one eighty, and that's where we're at right now.
So that's a pretty decent price if you want to
go and hit Houston in that spot, I think you know,

(26:52):
as a Clippers fan, I do think that the initial
price was wrong. But now that the Nuggets are underdogs
in that series, the series in which they have home
court and a strong home court at that at a
small plus price, I think it's definitely worth looking at here.
And the other I think is not as juicy because
you're probably going to you know, not get as much
back depending on what you bet on it. But Boston

(27:12):
to sweep this series with Orlando is like a plus
one fifteen. I think the Celtics get this thing done
at four. There's just such a big mass battle for
Orlando to overcome from beyond the arc. Boston comes in
averaging like about eighteen more points per game from deep.
Orlando is gonna have such an issue with that. They're
so good defensively. But I think this is gonna be
like the Eastern Conference Finals from last year where Boston sweeps,

(27:33):
but it was four really tight and fun, competitive games.
But I think the Celtics get that done, and that's
a pretty good plus price to ask them to do
that too.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
All Right, Well, we're gonna wait and see man, it
should be as you mentioned for the top, Jonathan, a
fun postseason and Robin I talked about it.

Speaker 5 (27:46):
Cam wait for Jordan's yeah, yeah, we're gonna wait.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
All right, We're gonna You're gonna be waiting another whole
year because the piss is getting done this year, Jonathan
met Thanks, have a great weekend and happy Easter to you.

Speaker 4 (30:00):
Man, I understand.

It's so hard being a saying of an Atlanta team
hogs braves. Man, Oh my god, driving my sorrows, and uh,

humbugging tonight. And y'all have a good night.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
No wait, don't let me let me ask you this.
Let me ask you this first of all. Man's good Friday.
You're gonna be all right. Let me ask you this.
Trey Young, how you feeling you got a superstar? Is
he either second wing man or he's just over Trey Young?

Speaker 8 (30:36):
I love Trey Young. I'm over the coach.

Speaker 6 (30:39):
Okay, I'm over the coach. Man.

Speaker 8 (30:42):
He's an offensive minded coach and everyone well obviously he
doesn't know. But to be successful you got to have
a top defense. And Trey Young he's uh. He's consistently
leading the league and assist and scoring. He's not a
liabilly on defense anymore. He's solid. He starves bowing defense.

(31:03):
But I'm over the coach.

Speaker 6 (31:06):
I like that, like that that.

Speaker 8 (31:08):
Hawks don't fire the coaches, you know, as quick as
some other organizations do.

Speaker 6 (31:12):
But he's at a time.

Speaker 4 (31:13):
Alright to move on.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
I feel you, Mike, I hear you real quick. Sean
from Sacramento. Sean, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Sewing?

Speaker 4 (31:26):
Are you there?

Speaker 5 (31:29):
All right?

Speaker 4 (31:29):

They're trying to squeeze in one and a half. Last call,
thank you.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
I guess you know he's such a dedicated Listen, he
probably her last call. They ain't gonna take another one.
I have to get in next week by real quick.

Speaker 5 (31:44):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
Jash Chisholm suspended one game be in contact with the
umpire up and then he went out there and tweeted,
and he eventually pulled the tweet down.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
He kind of ripped on the umpire.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
I think he played and he played tonight, you know
what I mean, because he's gonna he's appealing appealing.

Speaker 4 (32:02):
It at one game suspension.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
I think the believe it or I think the tweet
or the Instagram live or whatever it was. I think
that was worse than it because God, listen, guys, get
into it. When get into it's part of the game.
He didn't swing on them, He didn't swing on him,
But I do think it's more so. You know, any
sport does not want where it starts to become questioning
of theirs, their refs, their you know, anybody in official official.

(32:25):
So I think that's more of a hey, hey, hey, hey,
we don't need nobody out here with all the gambling
and every the money. We don't need no, just hey,
you can be mad, you can be freshrated, kick dirt,
dirt on their shoes, but uh, we don't need all
that on on the socials, you know, adding controversy so
somebody can put together a reel love and he took
it down right away, you know what I mean. So
he got that call from from PR with the Yankees.

Speaker 3 (32:47):
With the Yankee they're like, dude, what are you doing?
Like for sure, and the league responded to him that's
what they said. It was definitely that tweet did not
help them.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
No, man, you can't add extra sauce to that, all right,
So it's an official that's beat.

Speaker 4 (32:59):
We got it in two hillion dollars game or not? Nope, nope,
you like the Pistons, I'm gonna go with the new
pre seed.

Speaker 5 (33:06):
Nope.

Speaker 4 (33:07):
And it ain't got to do with me.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
I ain't giving you nothing, give me six. Nope, they
gonna win the series. What if you believe they're gonna
win the series?

Speaker 4 (33:14):
What do you care?

Speaker 3 (33:15):
You think they're gonna win the series. I don't think
they're gonna win.

Speaker 5 (33:18):
I just want to get some odds. That's how. Come on,
Vegas give our eyes? Bro Come on?

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Was that a walk off home run by Francisco Lindor
he just did walked it off for the Mets five
to four?

Speaker 4 (33:28):
What did he say that? What he said? I guess not?

Speaker 1 (33:32):
So you can go back to Aaron Judge your old
boot in size ten.

Speaker 5 (33:38):
I'm either go blue or green.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
Holler at your boy chor basketball.

Speaker 4 (33:45):
The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon is coming up next.

Speaker 5 (33:48):
