the former NFL wide receiver will talk with him. Johnny
Avello direct those sports operations for Draft King.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Are you ready for this? Real quick?

Speaker 1 (02:58):
When I started and got my first, very first radio
show WDFN in Detroit, the Odd Couple with Mike Stone.
Johnny Avella was our gambling guy. Can you believe that
thirty one years ago both been in the game.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
That's so crazy. Let's go back real quick. Stony is
have a full Detroit moment. You and Stony were first.
Then Stony and Wold Joe, Oh yeah, you had no
it would Stony and I were first. You realized like
I was like eleven, Okay, give me. I'm just saying
I don't remember. I don't remember everything when I was eleven.
You know, I don't know if I was like getting
a mom turn on wdfing at eleven. No, it's me

(03:36):
and Stoney. You didn't see Alex and just see his face.
He looked at me like, how dare you don't know?
I was the first. I was the first person ever
hired at that station.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
You should know that, kid.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
I know now. I know it because the way he
looked at me, I thought I stepped on this. Travis
got like, wow, okay, great to swing on me. Don't
forget one's gotta go. We got that as well last call.
So there's a lot of stuff to do. Let me
welcome in our partner. He is Kelvin Kelvin Washington. Yeah,
happy hump hump day. Halfway through the week and uh

(04:07):
yeah man, this is flying by. We got the draft tomorrow.
Like you mentioned, we've had some good NBA games as well,
So hopefully for a couple we got three today, but
hopefully we can get a couple of least two of
them be compelling, be good as well. I'm gonna neither
Orlando Magic to do breaks of Magic or something. And
I liked them as far, Like I think it's Mickey
Mouse playing the Night. That's the only way I think
they got a shot. Yeah, or they're gonna bring back

(04:28):
like ninety four Shock or something, yeah, because that and
it's making for a non compelling series. But Jason Tatum
supposedly out, he's out. Yeah, he's out. So we got
a bad risk. Yeah, so therefore you never know that
might open this up a little bit. Look at me
in a commercial that Alexas went up top, it's me?
Is that you w You're about to see it? Look
at me? Well, what you mean? Way you just looked

(04:49):
at at that's me? That's you?

Speaker 6 (04:51):
Yeah, that ain't you. I'm like looking at you, like
what Blair Underwood. Oh that's what tell me? That could
have been me?

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Look at that that one right there, that shot.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Okay, Yeah, I'm just saying you all right, I was like,
I'm looking at you like that is not you don't.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Look at me on the off there. I need a haircut.
I'm looking rough. It's been a long day, about eleven
minutes of sleep.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
All right, let's welcome in the odd couple crew, because
you wouldn't be able to do this fine radio program
without him.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Alex is back in the saddle.

Speaker 7 (05:21):
He's on.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Engineer bo is our producer Rob G another week and
a week and a half.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
You sure he works here? I'm not sure. You know
how I respect Rob G. I Rob G don't give
a flying fig about what we might think. He is
at home with his babies and his wife. Now, granted,
his hair is gonna be gray when we see him
because he can be stressed, but he is doing his
own thing.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Sure he's at home with the kids, because I went
through the drive to a Taco bell and I got
to be honest, I.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
Wasn't sure if he was working on them. That's gotta
be racist. Hey, extra money for the kids. There you go.
Because if he was here, he would be setting the
table for our topic. There you go, the last two
days gone. We didn't by the way, where you just
because a little bit. It was that the sun's out,
buns O, No, what are you? What are you doing?

Speaker 8 (06:14):
Uh uh, it ain't what it's colin, Colin, No, No,
you can't pay me that much. Okay, you're just off
good just six some time, very nice, and I have
to say I'm impressed by both you guys for working
so hard tomorrow, by the way, for the draft show.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Listen, we're just we're just men. You know, we put
our work in. We grind you know that full fifty
eight minutes. That's right, we'll make it happen.

Speaker 9 (06:35):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
And then of course manty BC she'll keep us updated
throughout the program.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
And of course.

Speaker 10 (06:44):
Never heard of them.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
You had you had it, you were right there.

Speaker 10 (06:47):
Never heard of them, never heard of it.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
And that makes sense. He was here yesterday. It wasn't
our social media guru.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
So uh uh, we got a lot a good show
for you, so we want you to stick in. Let's
start with basketball, and of course the Warriors and Rockets
to me, most compelling game right tonight, because you know,
people expected something from this Houston team.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
The Rockets got one, and I really believe, like this is.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
The Rockets game right here, because if you go down
two going back to San Francisco, going to San Francisco,
it's a rap, like like you got to win four
out of five and three of those games are in
San Francisco.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
And Stephan's god, you already put one in the bag.
He's gonna do something crazy, some wild game. It's one
of those things. But but interesting enough.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
You know, Uh, people looked at Steph and Jimmy Butler
and what they did together combining in Game one, so
people are like, hey, uh, maybe they have the best
duo or one of the best. Will do they rank
as far as duo's left in the postseason? And I
know a lot of people Luca Lebron, but Lebron hasn't

(07:54):
actually played that.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
Well so far. I'm not saying that he won't play better,
but he hasn't. He hasn't had to turn it up
but yet.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
But I still think for me, it's only been one
game with Jimmy Butler, yeah, and Steph Curry, So to me,
they've just had a cup of coffee in a sweet role.
I can't look at them as the best deal a
duo because I got to look at Jason Tatum and
Jalen Brown.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
I mean, they've they are currently the reigning champs. That's
a very fair point. There's a couple other people who
might want to hop in the mix. Who's that another
not raining, but they've won. Jamal Murray and then Jokic
will say y'all must go. It wasn't five years ago,
it was two years. Yeah, they might say, y'all must
have forgot. We got some other ones too. They haven't
done anything. But as far as talent, you know, Giannis

(08:41):
and Dame could have said, don't forget about us, we
can forget about them. Yeah, well you know who else
we can fit about on paper? Six months ago you
might have got excited Kat and Brunson. You can figure
about kat Williams what I call him right now? Till
he played like a bit, until he played like he's
solid in kat Williams, That's what I'm calling him. But
so that was another one. So you know, you think

(09:01):
around if I'm missing anybody else? Trying to think, because
jo who would you pick? I mean, should we should
we take Tatum? And Brown out because I mean, how can.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
We really look at it the reason I think only
But but then again, Tatum is hurt.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
Now, Tatum is shirt. I think he'll be fine. It's
a little resk. He's banged up here for him to
miss a game.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
So the little something to me because I heard he
is yeah, because this is the first part as ever missed.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Yeah, but it also says it's the magic and we're loaded. Okay,
I'm just saying, you know what I mean. I think
they're looking at it. He was this was Cleveland. Now,
if it was a birthday party, might not come, but
he would absolutely go. If this were Cleveland, he would go.
If this were you know, uh maybe Milwaukee, maybe not,
but but yeah, he would go. This is Orlando. And

(09:52):
they were like, all right, we can, we can, we can.
We'll be all right. And that leads to why I
think for me, it's not quite Jalen Brown and Tatum.
I think what makes them great, and they are great.
They're a very good duo. I think is the collective.
You get what I'm saying, it's the collective of the season.
Those two. I'm sorry, I'm not buying into that.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Those two, I get the rest of the team and
they have, but those.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Two are the engine.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
They're the ones that make it happen, and I think
they're the best dual. I think that's why they have
a legitimate chance of repeating, which we talk about all
the time, and that's how hard it is to repeat
in most sports.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
But the NB, Yeah, for some the last you know,
balls hard football, it really is the last, like seven
eight championships have been that back in you know, different team,
different different team. For the thing that for me, the
reason why it's not Jalen and Tatum is just what
I said. Right now, we're watching this game and I'm
looking at Drew Holliday, I'm looking at Porzingis, I'm looking

(10:54):
at Derek White, I'm looking at Al Horford. That's just
who's on the court. I got Pritching on the bench
as well. I mean, they got so many guys on
this team that to me, it makes it a little
bit of a cheat code when you're this loaded that
you have so many other talented guys that you don't
necessarily need Jalen Brown or Tatum to be that great.

(11:16):
I mean, that is ridiculous how loaded they are. The
wealth and they got a couple other guys who come
off the bench and score a nice shooter. So I
for me, I'm absolutely not mad if you picked the
raining champs in Jalen and Tatum, but it's not for me.
So if we're going at it like this, I have
to say it's still a combination for me of Luca
and Lebron because I just look at it, and I'm

(11:39):
more so than than people who one together. I just
because they haven't had a chance to win together. Ye,
to be fair, Yeah, but.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Luca had a shot last year, didn't win with Kyrie.
I'm just saying, and Lebron other than the twenty twenty twenty.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
But I mean he had three other ones too. No,
but that was a long time ago.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
I had three other ones. It's been a long time,
can you admit that? Yeah, if we take out that
the bubble one, it's been it's been a long Why
I got why I gotta take out the taking out
the bubble one?

Speaker 3 (12:05):
What I'm taking out you writer of the Year award?
Oh when they gave you the memorial Okay, matter of fact,
you have the Memorial weekend last week or whatever it
was when they went and I'm taking it out taking
it out since we've taken out championships. The reason I
say this is more of a compliment to Luca. And
again the key word I always use is nuclear, and

(12:29):
I just think for me, that's the biggest thing. If
it cames down it came down to it a game seven,
if somehow, if say it was Lakers Celtics in a
game seven, I just feel like Luca is so nuclear.
And then having still at this age of Lebron that
that I just it would be hard for me to
bet against Luca in a game seven as long as

(12:49):
he's healthy, because I just feel like he can literally
go for forty to fifty sixty, but he also.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Can give up forty on the other end. I mean,
not like that. That's the other things. Put up fifty five,
we'll be right, Okay. I'm just saying like that's the
part there, because I think a lot of people thought
they were gonna win last year and they I.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Mean, if they if he's a little healthier, they're in
this thing. By the way, Mancy, I'm looking at Manci
right now. She just I'm reading her face. She didn't
say anything, but it's like that old R and B
song in the nineties. It's written all over your face.
She didn't have to say a word. She feels disrespected
that we didn't say Kawhi and James Harden no.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
And that and that is absolutely fair, especially since Kawhi yes,
and he's played outstanding.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
All right, we want to hear from you. Eight sent
Luca and Bron.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
I'm gonna say Jason Tatum and I'm Tatum and Brown.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
You're taking Tatum and Brown in a game seven over
Luca and Bron.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
I absolutely am eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Well,
the Lakers would have two statues out there. That's the problem. Oh,
I told you don't call them? Oh Lakers is what
I call them?

Speaker 3 (13:54):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.

we're asking is the Warriors getting ready to play the
Warriors and Rockets tonight? That duo had a really good game.
Won Are they the best duo going right now? In
the NBA playoffs? Who we got eight? Seven seven to
niney nine? On Fox? Let's go with.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Jeff in Phoenix. You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Jeff?

Speaker 11 (16:19):
What's happening? It is Kawhi and you pick him. This
guy is a cyborg. He if you think back to
that run he had when he won the championship, there's
an interesting stat that goes around like I think in
the last game, guys he was guarding were only two
for twelve from the field. But that excludes that excludes

(16:42):
the players that when Kawhi come up on them, they
just passed the ball. Jimmy Butler in that series when
he was with Philadelphia, when Kawhi had that great game winner,
he got stripped by Kawhi in the first quarter after
and Kawhi went for a dunk after that, Jimmy Butler,
every time Kahi came on him, he ran to the corner.

(17:04):
He called to play and said, I'm not going at
this guy. So it's Kawhi and Pickham.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
I hear you about Kawhi, and you know how much
I'm a Kawhi guy.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
Why not Kawhi not as a correct response. So I
don't even know where you are.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
He did.

Speaker 12 (17:23):
He did it yesterday, Alex. It was pretty funny.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
I'm a fun guy.

Speaker 12 (17:32):
Do you have the other part of it? Do you
have the other part where where he's talking he doesn't
know other things. You have to ask me. I can't
just give it all to you right now. Plus I
can't even see you. I don't even know where you're at.
That's the greatest thing ever.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
Trey in Texas, you're on the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Try?

Speaker 10 (17:54):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (18:00):
Man? I mean, I like I like the Warriors, but
I like Kawhi Harden Man.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
The way the way Harden has played this year has
been tremendous.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Tree on Treyhil don't make me come, don't make me
drive to Texas trade, don't make me come down and drive.
Don't make me come to come to you. Now I
hear what you're saying. And again, Kawhi. You will not
get an argument out of me about Kawhi. But you
like that over Jokic and Jamal, or over Lebron and Luca,
or over Jalen and and Tatum or stephan And and Jimmy.

Speaker 10 (18:33):
I like them over Jada and Tatum.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
S g A and Jalen Williams. Yes, I tried it
with that one. Now I try to my bass. Yeah,
he's the m v P. I was trying to some love,
but I'm trying to give him something.

Speaker 6 (18:45):
Well.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
That Zoo still has milk on that bro Yea. Literally
they might at this point. I don't even know if
they can drink alcohol yet.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Drew in New Jersey. You're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
What's up, Drew, it's Lebron and Luca. It's not closed.
Luca has played Kawhi in multiple playoff series. You have
thirty five points on shooting.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
Points, won a championship, and who hasn't?

Speaker 4 (19:11):
Okay, So do you want to make that argument?

Speaker 3 (19:12):
I'm asking you no question.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
Question, is Anthony Edwards better than because Jokic lost Anthony Edwards.
Both don't agree with you, No, that.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
You can't just do it on one series. The Joker
has already won a championship.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Yeah, I mean to his point, Luca be he's one
of the few people that can give quite a business.
You take that, Manzie, Yeah, he can give them a
bit like we've seen the series at the series and
that's why would the answer for me when this conversation
people keep saying that, but who's won no series?

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Well he did no Kawhi beat Kawhi and the Clippers
are beating of the Mavericks.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
Everybody makes it like he's he knocked him. I mean
he's knocked He's knocked him out. They've knocked him. They've
gone back and forth. But the question to.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
Look it up and isn't it like three times and
twice the Clippers won.

Speaker 9 (19:59):
I think genuinely don't think Luca's played Kawhi in the.

Speaker 3 (20:01):
Playoffs, but he played him in the bubble.

Speaker 7 (20:05):
Maybe what that was that was the one come downs
he had that one game winner and that was it
Luca in In fairness, Luca has averaged thirty one, seven
and seven against Kawhi. But it's just across fourteen games.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
So just you can't how many more you need?

Speaker 9 (20:17):
Bo I mean, but a playoff series.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
Listen, the answer is the answer like we did yesterday,
and again you said Kawhi and I told you that's
to me the second best answer, But it is Luca
because the ability to go nuclear no one else. If
I texted any of you, hey, did you see what
he did today? You say who? And I said he
had seventy And I said, you would automatically, oh what
Lukenan did like that? That that's no other part. That's

(20:41):
crazy to me that he could drop sixty or seventy.
We would just be like, he does that, and that's
that one little actually dropped seventy. He already dropped seventy once.
How many time they gotta drop seventy, that's all like
you make it like it's like he literally dropped seventy
seventy one.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
If somebody said he dropped seventy, I would, that's cool,
I really would.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
I wouldn't be who Okay, you would ask who, but who?
Who would be? If I said, you got a guess.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
In the playoffs? Are not in the playoffs? A third
all time and scoring, it would be the joker. If
you told me right now, it would be he had
what do you have this year? Seventy and a sixty?

Speaker 3 (21:17):
You would think this is a compliment to him. He's
more of a I'm going to give you thirty something
every night. I said, he's done a sixty and a seventy.
Everybody's done a sixty.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
And in the postseason when they won the championship, go
look at the numbers.

Speaker 3 (21:30):
You can't believe you believe you just said it over all, right,
let's go to monsiacause seventy three points he scored its
last year. Yeah, you take them. I can't.

Speaker 13 (21:41):
Yeah, I mean, I mean, I mean, you're right, But
I would if you told me somebody scored sixty five today.
My first my first reaction, like Joe jok again. Then
I don't know what world, what do you tell he's
right there after Jokic is first.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
No, I'm not saying that he did. What I'm saying
is he's literally more consistent. I'm five to forty like
that's his range, Luca dropping fifty like regularly, when.

Speaker 10 (22:06):
When regularly.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
Dallas Jokich that one time. No, ye, I don't know.
I feel like we have a win a living Okay,
go ahead, New York, go ahead. Please give us some training, Nazi.
I have work to do. Well, you have work to
do as well. Were yet to give me. I'll talk
to you off. Yeah, all right.

Speaker 13 (22:29):
So it's Game two between the Celtics and the Magic.
No Jason Tatum for Boston because of that wrist injury.
So Orlando is up right now twenty one to twenty.
What about a minute ago in the first quarter. For
the Celtics, Jalen Brown is the leading scorer. He's got
twelve points right now. Franz Wagner on the core for
Orlando's leading scorer, he's got six points very early in

(22:50):
the game. Still Game two between the Heat and the Calves.
That tips off at seven thirty Eastern and then it's
Game two between the Warriors and the Rockets, with tip
off at nine thirty Eastern time. In the the NFL,
sad news coming out of the NFL, but Hall of
Fame Chicago Bear defensive tackle Steve McMichael has passed away today.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
He had a long battle with.

Speaker 13 (23:08):
Als, was actually moved into hospice today and passed away
hours later. He was sixty seven years old. Other news
in the NFL is that Kirby Joseph is about to
make a lot of money. He and the Lions have
a great to way four year, eighty six million dollar extension,
making him the highest paid safety in NFL history. And
the Saints did pick up fifth year option on the

(23:29):
contract of wide receiver Chris Olave. Today in Major League Baseball,
we got some games going on, like the Nationals, who
are topping the Oriels three to one after four no
they're about to start the fourth inning in Washington, Mariners
holding on to their one zero lead over the Red Sox.
In Boston, it's the bottom of the third inning. The
Dodgers and the Cubs are scoreless bottom of the second. Also,
the Dodgers are shutting down pitcher Blake Snow after he

(23:49):
felt discomfort in his throwing shoulder during a game of
catch yesterday. He's been on il because of shoulder inflammation.
Imaging is not looking good. No further details on when
he might be back in Earlier Today, in baseball, the
Mets score twice in the tenth to sweep the Phillies
four to three. New York has won seven in our
own back to you guys, all.

All right, we are joined now by our man TJ,
who's add up for my NFL receiver, host of up
on game on FSR Saturday's noon to two Eastern Standard time, TJ.
What's up? Bro Shooh? What's up?

Speaker 2 (25:10):
Man?

Speaker 10 (25:10):
How y'all doing?

Speaker 3 (25:11):
Man? We're doing good?

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Man?

Speaker 3 (25:12):
May have you answer this for me? Who is the
best duo? I know you love hoops to going right now?
In the NBA playoffs. I throwed a few options you
can put you can be the last word on this convo.
We had Stephan, Jimmy, Jayleen, Jalen and Tatum Yes, uh
Luke and Lebron yes yes, and Harden and uh yok

(25:34):
at your murray?

Speaker 10 (25:36):
All right, I'm gonna go from the back to the front.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Yo.

Speaker 10 (25:39):
Get your murray. Will probably be the last on my list.
Uh After that, it's kind of probably Kawhi and James Harden.
Oh man, this is tough. I'm gonna give it to
uh Ja, Tatum and Jaylen Brown because they're defended challenge.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
Thank you. Thank you very much.

Speaker 10 (26:05):
But if you gave, if you said Luca and Lebron,
I couldn't argue that because they are probably Lebron has
been the best player for so long and Luca has
always been a top three player since he's come to
the league. And so I can get people saying Luca
and Lebron, But just out of respect for the Celtics
winning the championship, I would say those two.

Speaker 3 (26:26):
All right, there you go, It's let's go here.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
Shador Sanders, you know, he's all over the map. Could
be fifths, could be tenth, eleven, twenty, first, where do
you see him going? You work with quarterbacks all the time.

Speaker 10 (26:46):
This is so rober. The thing about this is, you
know people are really gonna bring you down, or they
really bringing you down, or they bring you down so
you fall to them, or do they really feel this way?
This This is a hardy valueuation because he's been a winner.
Everybody's been. He wonted Jackson State when they were terrible.

(27:06):
Colorado was a dumpster fire before he got there. And
look at him now. People will say offensive catered to him. Uh,
they throw the ball so much, he takes unnecessary sex.
But he's still completing seventy four to seventy five percent
of his passes. To me for him, the team's picking
at the top. They're picking at the top four reason.

(27:28):
They're picking at the top four reasons. So if he's
fortunate enough and I stay fortunate enough to drop, you're
gonna land with a team that has some success, has
some good players on their team. They're just missing you.
And so with me with Shader, you just I don't
know what's going on. I don't believe the Giants are
gonna draft them. They're just I don't think there's no

(27:50):
way Dabill and those guys draft him knowing they asked
is on the line, well we drafting him for the
next coaching GM.

Speaker 3 (27:59):
I totally agree with you. That's why I said to you,
that's why they won't draft them.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
They need to win this year and they don't have
time to be able to say, oh, well, we're in
a rookie quarterback and we need time.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
That's why they won't do it. But who's let me
ask you this?

Speaker 1 (28:13):
And I just want to follow up on the schadure
and you talk about what it was a dumpster fire
and all that, but what they did at Colorado to
retire his number before Cordell's no no, no, no, whush
before Cordell's Stewart.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
Really, seriously, I'll be I'll say this.

Speaker 10 (28:34):
I don't like the what why why why? Okay, why
don't Lebar Errington just get in the College Football Hall
of Fame two years ago? Labar Errington is one of
the greatest college football players in the history.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
Of college football, right this is this is my point, and.

Speaker 10 (28:53):
So I'll say this because the status quo has been
to and we're gonna wait to fifteen twenty thirty years
when dust these dudes.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
Like why, that's what I told That's what I told Rod.
That's what I told him.

Speaker 7 (29:07):
TJ.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
That's not That's not how it is, TJ. Cordell Stewart.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
There's no way Shador Sanders should be that this should
be in Colorado.

Speaker 10 (29:17):
Okay to Colorado.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
I'm just saying that, like that's just that's with that's disrespectful.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
I mean, come on, I agree with you.

Speaker 10 (29:24):
You you got you got Dad Brown, who was a
baller resigned to line just got put in and his
jersey retired and he's no longer so Colorado, along with
plenty of other universities have had and still have a
problem of honoring the players. There's no reason to wait fifteen,

(29:51):
twenty thirty years, whatever it is, because by that time,
you know, pissed the player off, you don't even care
about being honored.

Speaker 3 (29:56):
Yeah crazy, all right? TJ who was out of our
guests again, former NFL rob receiver, a host of up
on game on FSR Saturday is noon to two. All right,
who's let me ask you this one? And again we've
talked about it to nausey. And by the way, cam
Ward is hilarious. He's the number one pick and nobody
ever talks about him. But I'm gonna ask you about
the idea of playing two way with Travis Hunter. If

(30:17):
you because you are a wide receiver, what do you
see that makes him unique at the wide receiver position
where a lot of teams say that's where we would
play him, either solely or primarily. What makes him different?
What have you seen on the tape or what makes
him where you go? Man, he could definitely be that
guy as a receiver.

Speaker 10 (30:34):
I mean, he pretty much can do everything. He's a
really good runner, he's quick, he can run. But to me,
what is different about him? Because a lot of guys
are quick, a lot of guys can run, a lot
of guys can run routes. What he does really well,
that is his body control, his ability to jump in

(30:55):
his body like he's so loose in his hips. He's
so loose in his upper body that he can turn
while he's in the air and make a hard catch.
Looks so easy. But the next guy does that, he
can't do it because he's so muscular and he tight
up top. He has no thorastic mobility. He's little things
like that. It gets overlooked because and that ball isn't caught.

(31:19):
It's like, oh, that was a tough catch. Well, with
Travis Hunter, it's not a tough catch for him because
of the way his body is able to adjust while
the ball is in the air. It's just something you
don't see very often.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
Yeah, CJ. Did you use when you played stick him?
Was it outlawed by the time you played?

Speaker 10 (31:39):
Yeah? Yeah, Hey, Rob, you know this though my first
few years in the league, man, I was Tim Brown
in it. Bro I had no gloves.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
Yes, no, that's what I'm saying. That's why I was
going to ask you about Hunter.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
We saw no gloves no sticky gloves. And I'll tell
you when I first saw what was it the Giants
receiver when he made that catch, and you know that,
I was like, that's the greatest catch I ever saw.

Speaker 3 (32:06):
I didn't know about the gloves. I really didn't TJ.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
But when you see a guy go out there, you know,
with no gloves, you know, and and catching ball, that's
impressive to me?

Speaker 3 (32:17):
Is it not to you?

Speaker 10 (32:20):
On a pro day with routes on air, it is
very easy to catch with no gloves, no elements indoors.
It's very easy because I did it now, I'll say this,
but open it's when it's cold, the hands are freezing.
That's when you really need these gloves. You really do.
But the gloves nowadays many they getting better and better

(32:41):
each year. But I wouldn't put too much into the
pro day not wearing gloves because it is routes on there.
We are going to focus on the ball. Were gonna
see the ball to the touch, then we're gonna run
very ready. Well, you see a guy with or without
gloves drop a ball and routs on there. If you
drop a ball on routs on their man, one is
a lack of focus or you're just not seeing the

(33:01):
ball very well at all.

Speaker 3 (33:03):
All right, there you have it. Man, Draft day about
twenty four hours away. We'll see where it all shakes out.
Hush real real quick. Where's should doing? Give me a number?
What place will he be drafted? Just give me a.

Speaker 10 (33:14):
Number between sixteen and twenty one?

Speaker 3 (33:17):
Yeah, all right? Drop it? All right, I thank you.
I think somebody's gonna sneak up there. I think he's right.
I think he's gonna be low thing. People been talking
smack and then they gonna go snatch him up. All right,
thank you, appreciate it to you. Jay. We got Shekel
City on the way. And speaking of quarterbacks, there's one
quarterback that is very very happy right now. We'll tell
you why. It's the couple Robin Kelvin Fox Sports Radio.

(34:37):

Speaker 9 (34:38):
Is that when I'm five even number?

Speaker 3 (34:41):
Figure it out? Hit you can just eventually might be
taking out tired and putting in never mind, there's some
other would you stop? I'm gonna stay out of there. Yeah,
I hit it good, It was fun. Oh yes, come on,
all right? This edition the one got to go. I try.

(35:01):
I try to keep it tied into something that's going on.
I see Shay over there. Shay, you might want to
jump in this as well, so I try to keep it.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
Now.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
My concern is you rob, but maybe you'll surprise me.
Maybe one this one's easy. One of your dates, you know,
maybe you've seen a handful of these, so Ryan Coogler,
renowned director, young brother from the Bay. He and Michael B.
Jordan are connected. All of his movies that he's ever directed,
all five have had Michael B. Jordan. It is so

(35:33):
Michael B. Jordan, by the way, but Kari not a
better put that be in not Michael Jordan's. Otherwise nobody
would know who he was. Yeah, that's true. Dang, I
knew he could. I knew space. James was like, I
know he's acting like that. So here we go. Here
are the five movies that Ryan Coogler has directed. Michael B.
Jordan has obviously been in the mall, and I want
you to tell me one's got to go. Now, if
you haven't seen one or something, then pick from the

(35:54):
ones you have. I don't expect necessarily everyone to see
have seen all five.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
Now, look at the cup here we have not said
see Michael B. Jordan's five movies. Let's just be honest.
I don't know what none of us.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
Alex has all of it. I've seen four of the following.
What I've seen with the Sinners that came out this
week has weekends, dise easy gonead Here we go. So
obviously we'll work from Current to Backwards Sinners, which her
was everybody squares by. I haven't had a chance to
see it yet. Rotten Tomatoes has it at ninety eight percent.

(36:29):
So you know what's good. What kind of Forever came
out a few years back, Black Panther. First of all,
this is an amazing five run for a director Creed
and then fruit Vale Station. Incredible movie, Manzi, you gotta
see that and you might you might cry seen that. Yeah,
you're gonna cry. It was his first one. His teacher
at USC was like, you really got the eye. You're
really gonna be good at this, and he put his

(36:50):
all into this film. Twenty thirteen. It's about Oscar Grant
who was killed up in the Bay Area by police
while literally like for nothing. He's laying on the ground
and they just shot them middle in front of New Year's Eve,
in front of everybody. Look it up. It's a great movie,
sad story, all right. So there are you five Fruitvale
Station Cree Black Panther will kind of Forever Sinners, which again,
if you haven't seen them all, just pick from the

(37:11):
ones that you've seen. That one's gotta go, uh Rob,
because it's easy. I'm ignoring you right now. Uh, it's easy.
Go ahead, start with I'm gonna start with alex One
has got to go, My friend, you're not gonna like
me for this. I don't know. You don't know what
I'm gonna saying. One's gotta go.

Speaker 5 (37:29):
I will say, without spoiling, I went into Sinners completely dry.

Speaker 3 (37:33):
Okay, no idea what it was about? Yep?

Speaker 5 (37:35):
Nine point five? Man, I don't rate movies higher than
an eight point five to nine?

Speaker 3 (37:39):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (37:40):
Why why the tie ins, the subtle messaging, the playout
and also the ending sequences.

Speaker 3 (37:46):
Yeah, super, that's what everybody. I haven't heard anyone. Only
a couple of people have said, oh it's good. I
maybe I missed the meaning or something, but everybody else
is like fantastic. All right? So wait, which one is out?
Black Panther? Wow? Wow? I kne you're gonna hate me
of this? You like too better? Wow?

Speaker 5 (38:06):
The reason why I already don't like Marvel movies or
any superhero movies. I haven't even watched any of those
ones with thor or what's it again, the finger? H Yes,
I haven't seen any of them. I'm not forcing a
Black Panther because of a group things I said, fine,
we'll go watch it. I think it's just my malice
because I had like such a strong stand. I need

(38:28):
to watch it again. But the second one, I sat
down by myself loved it. Ty Ins fill Ins show ups.
I loved it all. It's just again, I think I'm
just biased.

Speaker 7 (38:36):
Okay, all right, boh, we'll kind of forever.

Speaker 9 (38:40):
Second Black Panther movie, that's gotta go.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
Yeah, even with the way they did, they did their
best trying to pay tribute to him.

Speaker 7 (38:46):
And Fruitvale Station is one of the best movies ever made.
To centers is up there. Black Panther was a huge
cultural moment, and Creed was way better than anybody existed.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
Boat Man, you're on it all right, Manzi just from
the ones you've.

Speaker 13 (38:59):
Seen, literally what both said, I mean, I think it's
Wakanda forever for me. I have not seen Sinner, got
to see Fruitveil, and I haven't seen Fruitvil, so obviously,
and I'm not gonna say Black Panther, but Wakanda forever
because I enjoyed Creed. But you know, everything both said
I think was right on the money.

Speaker 3 (39:13):
Yeah. Uh, mister Parker, it's easy. Tell me you've seen
any of these.

Speaker 1 (39:19):
Creed really wait only because the boxing movies like that,
We've seen a million of them. I'm not, you know,
fairpoint like I've seen like and it's not boxing is dramatic.
It's one on one all that kind of stuff. But
I've seen that movie. That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (39:38):
I'm exact answer is bo Wakanda Forever. But for all
of the reasons he said Fruitvale Station. I was stuck.
I was literally stuck in my seat, shedding tears, just
wanting to go back in time and save them. And uh,
Cree caught me by surprise. Wow, this is actually really good.
And Black Panther was like you said, cultural phenomen Alex.
You said, no, black Panther. I'm just saying, just saying,
that's not cool. If it was Panther, you probably would

(40:00):
have picked.

Speaker 5 (40:01):
Much three times by now

Speaker 3 (40:02):
Okay, it was Latina Panther, he'd be all I get
married to it.
