From Grandma, with Shade
She was a nun teaching in inner-city Detroit in the 1940s. She was the first female partner in a stock brokerage firm in North America (allegedly) in the 1980s. She was a b****! She was, to me at least, spectacular. Each episode of From Grandma, with Shade shares stories of my outrageous and often problematic grandmother. Some witnessed first-hand by me and some that I've heard from other family members. All likely a bit embellished, in the way that legends are over time...and she was LEGENDARY! This first episode provides an introduction to my family, me and, most notably, my grandmother. It also tells the story of the time that my grandma…well…killed a man.
