Gandhi had an interesting observation over the weekend while with her boyfriend, Brandon, and it made her think of how men and women view people differently when it comes to people they don't know.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Today's Daily Highlight from Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
All right, so Gandhi, go ahead and repeat to the
world what you were saying to us during the song.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (00:11):
I think it's so interesting how men and women just
operate completely differently in the world, down to everything that
we think about. So Brandon and I are part of
this little cannabis club speakeasy thing.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
I told you guys about it. It's called the Astor Club.
It's awesome.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
Over the weekend, they had this big event where these growers.
One grower in particular from out West came in and
sort of showcased what he's been growing. Brandon and this
guy hit it off. They become friends, and he invites
Brandon over to his hotel room basically Airbnb to go
smoke with him and some other dudes. And Brandon's like, yeah,
I'm gonna go do it. I'll see you later. And

(00:46):
my first thought is, you're not worried about murder. You
don't think you're gonna get robbed exactly.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Take my pepper spray.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
What do you tell take my pepper spray? So you're saying,
and I hear you, as a woman, you've got to
be cautious, extra cautious in this world versus guys who oh, way,
I just met him. Yeah, we're going back to his house.

Speaker 5 (01:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
But he looked at me and he said no. That
never once crossed my mind, and I thought, wow, that
must be nice. I think about how I'm going to
get murdered at least twelve times a day.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Well, you know, I'm sort of the king of the
Come on over. Yeah you're crazy, because you know, because
Alex and I we love going up to bars and
meeting people to the bars. We'll go, hey, what are
you doing, come on over our house. We live up
the hill or and and we we actually had a couple,
a man and a woman, a wife and husband from
they're out of town. I said, you know, comes see
your house. So they got in our back seat. We

(01:34):
drove him up to the house and then hung.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Out with us and everyone involved in this scenario in
their mind, so we were done it.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
We had a glass and wine with them, and we
showed them, showing around the house and everything, and then
we got them a car, drove them back to their car,
you know, three miles away, and they got out and
I went, why, what were their names again.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Don't even know the names.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
They know where you live exactly, and.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
This is it. Okay, okay, well I'm sorry, what was
what was that, Froggy?

Speaker 5 (01:59):
This is totally how you're gonna die.

Speaker 6 (02:01):
I know it.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
I did mention to them on the way up the hill.
How do you guys know we're not going to kill you?

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Oh my goodness, And.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Then you cackled about it. Yes, oh they're.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
This is like picking up a head tiger on the
side of the road.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
And if it was a couple that was like, why
don't you come back to our place, I'd be like,
hell to the no, I know what's going on here.
You're gonna tie me?

Speaker 6 (02:26):
No? Please? What Nate, the next time you you pick
people up at a at a bar or restaurant or
whatever and then take them back to your house, you
should have all sorts of stuff on your back seat
and be like, just push that duct tape to the side.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Exactly, Nate, you got a lot of ideas.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Hey, exactly.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
You know, the only man I've ever encountered who's worried
about getting kidnapped is Nate.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
I've never heard another guy ever mention it.

Speaker 6 (02:48):
Well, they would bring him back in an hour. You know,
when that the pandemic hit in the city was shut down.
I was like, man, this is when stuff happens to
guys like me, Like you what that mean? Guys like you?

Speaker 3 (03:00):
I don't get.

Speaker 6 (03:01):
Taken advantage of or something? Walk around ye ask carry what.

Speaker 7 (03:05):
There was a TV show that used to be on
called Taken, and it was based on the film with
Liam Neeson. Anyway, any woman that I know would watch
that show and be like, no, here's why, And they
would always refer back to taking an episode of Taken
about how someone got stolen and kidnapped.

Speaker 6 (03:22):
People.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Women in my life would never.

Speaker 6 (03:24):
Ever this would They would never even dare tea exactly.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
But but Gandhi's point is, guys really don't think about
it as much because I guess we feel like we're
invincible and no one wants to mess with us. But
if you're a woman, there are there's a list of
things that are against you as far as being with strangers, even.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Being a man. Somebody could put like that stuff over
your mouth that like you know, causes you to pull
But seriously, they could just hit you over the head
with something They could have put it.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
They could put a gun up to.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Your face and say get in the car.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
I mean, I don't do what. He's crazy, don't Okay,
they don't want guys. And it's a sad, scary world.
Where it's a sad, scary world we live in with
trafficking and all that kind of stuff. It's really women
are the victims much more than men. Not in the
bad No one's going to traffic me. You know, it's like,
who wants that?

Speaker 6 (04:15):
What?

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Frog?

Speaker 5 (04:16):
I might be half a girl because I'd be scared
to do what Brandon did.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Good, No, you just have a brain in your head.
I know I would be scared.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
I would be like, maybe this isn't the best place
because what if I don't make it out of line?
Like it would cross my mind where Brandon is more
of a manly man than I am. I'm willing to
admit that. At this point, he just.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Looked me dead in the eye and said nope, didn't
cross my mind once and walked out of the house.
I was like, oh, okay, But.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
But him, he interacted with these people, He had probably
a good sense of well trust.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
With these people.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
You know, you didn't meet them, you don't know them
so well.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
I met them.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Oh really, Oh I didn't know you met them.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
No, I met them, but I was just like, so again,
you've interacted with these people for five minutes. I don't
care what kind of vibes you get that how they
lure you to your death. I've watched it happen so
many times in so many Netflix series.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
I love this text. Elvis is to strangers at a bar,
like Gandhi used to wild animals.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
You used to pet. This is true.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
You you would go, you would pet a cheetah. I
would try it if you can catch it. Yes, and
you have total faith in a cheetah, but not a
human being.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
Absolutely, animals no vibes they do. Humans are are wild.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Well no, you're right there.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
But you know what else though, in Miami, specifically right now, guys,
you're not safe either because you've seen all the stories
about these strippers or ladies doing whatever they're doing, luring
guys back, drugging them and stealing all their stuff.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
It's happening. You guys need to be aware of it.
I'm telling you.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
By the way, beck to Daniel said from the old movies,
I don't think chloroform is a thing. It doesn't ate
something Nate knows because he's tried it used. He just
he just said it doesn't work.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Doesn't work in the movie. It doesn't. You don't put
a rag over somebody's.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
I guarantee there's something that they can shove over your
face to make you faint or whatever.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Yeah, it takes all the movies. I think it's a
scripted thing. Yeah, it takes. It takes a while for
you to pass.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
In this world that we live in, I don't anything
can happen. And I think Brandon's crazy.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
Yes, yeah, but what about the opposite of chloroform? What
is smelling salts? In the old days, if a woman
got the call, they called them the vapors. If she fainted,
they put something under her nose and she wake up.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
What if you're getting blood work done, or if you're
in a hospital and you faint, they'd still something under
your nose to wake you up.

Speaker 6 (06:41):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
We're totally driven off.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
The topic was way too fast with the chloroform information.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Trust me, we trust you. Just good old, just good
old tape over the mouth, there's all you need. Okay,
So back to this thing. Someone sent a text in
Jeffrey Dahmer was partial to men, well actually young boys
who he could overpower. Right, But anyway, you're right though,

(07:10):
guys we do have a higher threshold of trust. Right,
is that saying it correctly?

Speaker 3 (07:17):
I don't know over women.

Speaker 7 (07:19):
And we should.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
It's a very dangerous world for women, you know that.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
I mean just physical strength. Men can fare better in
most situations than a woman could. If someone's trying to
snatch you.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Yeah, there you go with that said, that was a
fun conversation. We went from obsession to kidnapping and killing
the hotel room.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
I think not.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
We're having quite a day.

Speaker 7 (07:43):
Hey, we do have
