Speaker 1 (02:24):
I refuse to welcome autumn until the's twenty first.
Speaker 2 (02:26):

all of you. This is such a great start to
my school year. It's my ninth year teaching at Safer
in high School. I teach Spanish and EML and I'm
so excited I get to start it with you guys.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Wow, so you're excited about the new school year. I
mean you got to be. You have no choice. But
you're going back and you're in. You're ready.
Speaker 7 (03:38):
Yep, I'm ready to go. I'm actually going in extra early.
Have never gotten the chance to be the first call
because I leave a little bit later usually. So one
of our very best teacher friends today is her last
first day of school because she's retiring this year. Her
name is Carrie, and I'm so excited I get to
give her a shout out on her last first day
of school.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Wow. Absolutely, that's so cool. She's making her last round
as a teacher or just a teacher. There she is?
She done?
Speaker 7 (04:06):
No, she's done, she's retiring.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
Wow. Can you imagine? Well, you're only nine years in,
so you've got a long way to go.
Speaker 7 (04:13):
Oh, yes, I do. But I'm so excited about it.
Speaker 8 (04:16):
I love what.
Speaker 7 (04:18):
I do and it's a blessing to be able to
work where I do. Everyone I work with is amazing,
and I'm so excited to see my kids.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Well, there you go, a fresh a fresh year. Any
questions for Diana before we let her go, let her
looseen to her new year? Anyone? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:32):
What is your favorite part of being a teacher?
Speaker 7 (04:37):
I just love the students, Like being able to inspire
them to want to learn.
Speaker 9 (04:46):
That that's the best and knowing that they know that.
Speaker 7 (04:50):
They have someone that's on their side is an amazing feeling.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Oh wow, have a question, Yes, the floor recognizes Danielle. Yes.
Speaker 10 (04:59):
How many chances do you give a student before you
send them to the principal's office?
Speaker 9 (05:02):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (05:02):
Wow, Hi, I try to be I try to be
so patient, so I could probably count the number of
times I've ever had to send a kid out.
Speaker 11 (05:11):
Oh wow, not many?
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Very good.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Wow, there you go. Well Diana, you know I love
your spirit. I love the fact that you were so
excited about getting back in and starting your new school year.
I think this is motivation for everyone listening, everyone in
this room, everyone driving to work right now. You have
an opportunity today to make this day what you want
it to be, So go do it, Diana. We appreciate
that so much. Were you a very welcome quick thing? Absolutely,
(05:37):
I'm I just.
Speaker 7 (05:38):
Want to tell you, guys, I've thought about this for
so long. If I ever got through, I wanted to
let you know. I feel so grateful to have your show.
Speaker 9 (05:46):
To listen to.
Speaker 5 (05:48):
My parents are immigrants from Ecuador, and I grew up
pretty much listening to Spanish television and Spanish music and
Spanish radio, and that's where we've connected a whole life
and the one hundred since I was I think maybe
like in second grade and I'm thirty years old now.
Listening to you guys has been a bridge between my
(06:11):
culture that I grew up in here in the United
States and my parents. And my mom listens to you
guys almost every day. She's a nurse on the way
to work, my sisters, everyone. I've just always wanted to
be able to.
Speaker 7 (06:22):
Tell you guys that that you you helped make connections
that I don't think you.
Speaker 9 (06:26):
Know you do.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Wow, that's awesome. I think that's something we all really
needed to hear today. Believe it, Believe it, Diana. Thank
you so much to your family, our love to you,
and we look forward to many many morning, many more
mornings to wake you up.
Speaker 8 (06:40):
Okay, thank you so much, guys, Thanks for you do
you guys?
Speaker 7 (06:43):
Raw And oh my gosh, hello lady, how could I
forget hello?
Speaker 2 (06:48):
All right? You tucked that into that's all good. All right,
hold on, Diana, we got stuff on the way. Send
her stuff, lots of stuff. Whatever is not stapled down,
you know, come on, send it to her. Well, that
is quite inspiring to get started with our day. We
needed to hear that. Everyone did anyway into the three
things we need to know from Gandhi. And let's get
on with the day. We've got stuff to do. What's up, Gandhi?
Speaker 1 (07:08):
All right.
Speaker 12 (07:09):
Some hotel workers around the country could be going back
to work today after their union and hotel companies failed
to reach a contract deal and they walked off the
job Sunday. Around ten thousand people hit the picket lines
in places like San Francisco, Seattle, and Boston. The strike,
which was authorized for three days in some places, was
called during a period when a lot of people were
(07:29):
traveling for the Labor Day holiday. Did any of you
face any interesting things at your hotels?
Speaker 8 (07:34):
No?
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Everyone didn't even stay in a hotel all.
Speaker 12 (07:42):
NASA says that stereo feedback is what caused a quote
strange noise to be heard on the Boeing Starliner spacecraft
over the weekend. On Saturday, one of the astronauts on
the International Space Station radioed Mission control in Houston about
a sonar like sound that could be heard coming from
the troubled Starlight. In a statement to the website NASA Spaceflight,
(08:03):
NASA said the noise had no technical impact on the crew,
Starliner or station operations.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Interesting, By the way, what do scary and the spacecraft
stuck in space have in common? They do have something
in common, they do. You'll find out in a few minutes.
Speaker 12 (08:21):
All right, back to you, okay, And finally, if you
haven't gotten your tickets for tonight's Mega Million's drawing, you
might want to do it. It will be worth a
whopping six hundred and eighty one million dollars. The cash

Speaker 2 (11:31):
A lot of people go out on vacation with their
family or their friends, or sometimes solo travel. However you
do it, you got to make sure you turn a
corner while you're out, hear me out. No matter what
you're doing, it could be something exciting like traveling in
a plane to Europe or going to the Olympics, or
something like going up to Niagara Falls or down to
(11:51):
Disney or whatever. That time you have a way, You
have a moment or two to yourself to see the
world through a different set of lenses and you learn
more about yourself. I hope everyone here had had a
moment like that, no matter how exciting and over the
top that your your trip could have been, or just
(12:12):
a moment because you didn't have to get up and
go to work every day so you could look at
the world in a different way. I hope everyone did,
and I think we all did some good, some bad,
some moving. How was your time out, Nate?
Speaker 14 (12:26):
It was good, It was good. I did a little staycation,
so I just stuck around. So everybody, you know, fighting
with buffalo and going up waterfalls. I think every once
in a while you need to do that, you know.
I think we're very blessed with the amount of vacation
we get here, and sometimes you just got downshift a
little bit, relax.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Yeah, well, you know, sometimes look, how many times do
we reinvent ourselves during our lives or how many times
do we have, like I said, corners that we have
to turn where our lives turn into a totally different
life than we had maybe a month or two ago.
You know. So if you have time to really evaluate
how you are and where you are in your life,
(13:05):
and it may be why you're petting a giraffe or
climbing up climbing up a waterfall, or it maybe when
you're just you know, sleeping in a little bit. You know.
I hope everyone here had a moment or two of
just like, wow, okay, life, life is life is life.
You're doing Okay? Is this too heady, too deep?
Speaker 15 (13:25):
No?
Speaker 2 (13:27):
I mean I'm not you know, mushrooms or anything. I'm
not tripping.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
That's at seven.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
You know what I do get to do today? They're
going to pull a big old tooth out of my
head today.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
You'll get some good buds for that.
Speaker 10 (13:40):
Yeah, do you remember when they did that? So I
had to have a root canal. Well, I had a
root canal, but I also had wisdom teeth. And my
husband drove me home and he ran out of gas
in the car, and I.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
Had a walk halfway home after that procedure. I hope
that doesn't happen.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
To know that mus been probably one of your most
miserable days on Earth. Fun You didn't yell at him,
did you, because I would have yelled at it.
Speaker 10 (14:05):
I think I was so on the medicine still that
I kind of just laughed. And he's like, you've got
a choice. You can sit here and wait for me
to come back with the gas, or we can walk
up the.
Speaker 16 (14:18):
No.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
I would have taken a frying pan out and slammed
it on his head.
Speaker 10 (14:22):
I got the presents from the tooth Fairy, so I
was very happy.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Oh the tooth Fairy. Well, I hope I get some
tooth fairy accent later today. All right, well, let's uh well, Danielle,
you're here. He might as well go to work. What
do you have coming up?
Speaker 10 (14:35):
Adell is taking a very long break and post malone
is number one everywhere.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Wow he is, Oh no, we got him.
Speaker 13 (14:43):
Good morning, Elvis Duran in the Morning Show, Elvis Duran
and the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
All right, So, as we speak, the NASA astronauts are
still stuck in space on the International Space Station. The
Boeing Starline spacecraft is just kind of in limbo up there.
And apparently, according to Scary, the same reason they're stuck
(15:10):
in space is why he couldn't get home on a
Boeing jet yesterday. Wow from Jamaica. So Jamaica outer space
wherever Boeing has just stuck there. Now, what did what
did the problem with your plane have in common with
what's going on at the space station.
Speaker 17 (15:26):
Well after delays that had nothing to do with that
where the radar went down in Newark, which is which
was a whole other debacle. We were mind the ground
in DC waiting to take off, and they're like, we've
been cleared for takeoff.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
Await a second. We have a sticky valve, So.
Speaker 17 (15:44):
Maintenance has got to come with the part and replace
the part. Sticky valve happens. I guess it can cause
major problems if you google it, it looks very disastrous
if it's not taken care of. But apparently that is
the same exact thing going on with NASA's the Boeing Starliner.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
So I have a sticky they have sticky valve in
outer space. The sticky valve is the reason why the
astronauts can't come home. That's one of the problems. There
was a sticky valve. Now that's a Boeing, and I
was on a Boeing. There's a Boeing seven thirty seven,
nine hundred. Okay. Look now, so I don't know about you,
but when you're about to look into maybe flying on
a vacation to go see Grandma, whatever, do you usually
(16:21):
look to see what type of aircraft you're flying on?
And if it's a Boeing, do you worry about sticky
valve a little bit?
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Now I do? I didn't before.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
Yeah, yeah, soggy. Do you have any fright against a
sticky valve?
Speaker 11 (16:35):
I've never looked, But now with all this happening, I
did find myself. I flew to Nashville last week and
flew home. I did look to see if it was
a bowling plane I was on only because of all
this stuff going on.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
Okay, but as it is, and what do we do?
Because Anna, that's my direct flight. I guess I gotta
get on this.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Thing, right, I don't know, dal Well, Look, you know,
if you look at the numbers, the majority of them
are still flying and they're fine. You know, they're good.
Every once in while a little sticky valve happens, wake.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
The valveve, blow in it and stick it back in.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
You would think you would think sticky valve is it
just made me some wind decks? You know, I could
cause engine failure. I was googling this as I was
stuck on the ground. As soon as they said sticky valve,
they started googling sticky valve on flights.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
So how do they know they have a sticky valve?
Speaker 17 (17:18):
I guess something tells them on their meters and their instrument.
But the thing is what they can replace it. It's
a replaceable part. They came with the part and they
sat there for another hour and a half replacing sticky valve.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
When you want to be like, did you check all
the valves?
Speaker 3 (17:32):
Yeah? Isn't there more than one?
Speaker 2 (17:37):
Are there some about to be sticky? Are they on
the verge of sticky valves? Engine failure? Okay?
Speaker 10 (17:43):
It looks like when I need an oil change and
I ignore the light for that long, isn't ignore it?
Speaker 2 (17:49):
You know what I told you? So during my vacation,
go ahead ask me what exciting things I did well.
I had I had a check engine light on on
the truck. I had to take it in. Oh good,
it wasn't red yet. It was still yellow, which is
I guess it's promising. It's like you may have a
sticky valve on the way, so they turn that off,
but they don't know why why it's called. They said, well,
(18:10):
you know, these kinds of trucks always have the lights on.
It's just the way it is.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
Okay, this happened to my mom on vacation too.
Speaker 10 (18:17):
She put the car in park and it says put
your car in park, and it's just dinging, dinging, dinging.
It won't let her lock the car. It won't let
her whatever. So we had to bring it in and
we thought maybe it was a quick fix, but they said, nope,
sticky parts. We need more for this, and they had
to order a new sticky part for her.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Well look at this. We just got a text. Oh
my god, my plane had the same problem trying to
leave Rome. We sat on the tarmac for five hours.
Sticky valve. Yeah, there you go. You got to replace
it anyway, and I well, see we all learned about
the sticky valves syndrome today on airplanes. I don't know, Well,
this is what's happening in the Star liner in space. Okay,
(18:55):
sticky valve scary? Can you just scarry up in space?
You would go nuts?
Speaker 3 (18:59):
Oh forget it.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Oh my god. No, they're not coming home till February.
Areas that right? I mean, you're stuck in the same
International Space Station. There's only so many different instagrammable corners
you can take pictures in. Let's get into Danielle's report.
The first of the week. Lots going on. It is September. Anyway,
we're slowly creeping toward autumn. We're not there yet. Damn it.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
It feels like it this morning. Let me tell you.
When you walk out of the house here in New York,
oh my goodness, I was.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
Like, whoa, all right, what's going on? Danielle?
Speaker 18 (19:28):
All right?
Speaker 10 (19:28):
Well, Adela was on stage and she basically told everybody
that I am going to be taking a break. She says,
I'm not going to see you guys for an incredibly
long time. I'll hold you dear in my heart for
that whole length of my break. I just need a rest.
But she does have ten concerts in Las Vegas at
the Coliseum from October twenty fifth to November twenty third,
and then we're guessing after that, that's when she is
(19:50):
going to wrap it up for a while. I'm sure
you know by now that Fatman Scoop has passed away.
He was fifty three years old, so crazy. He was
performing on stage and he collapsed and of course they
gave him CPR and everybody was wondering what was going on,
And then the next day, unfortunately, we found out that
he had passed on.
Speaker 3 (20:08):
So uh, he man.
Speaker 10 (20:09):
He has worked with some of the biggest icons, Missy Elliott,
timbaland Mariah Carey.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
I mean, the list goes on and on.
Speaker 10 (20:15):
So if you don't know about him, you should check
out his music and do a little Google about hearing.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Yeah, I want you a crampson Fatman Scoop in there.
Who which one do you want to play?
Speaker 4 (20:23):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (20:24):
Be faithful? Of course, of course that's the big one. Gandhi,
what do you think? What do you want to hear?
Speaker 1 (20:29):
I mean, I like all of them. I was singing
maybe Missy Elliott and fatans coo oh yeah that's.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
A good Yeah, okay, ye yeah, okay, we'll figure it out.
We'll figure it out.
Speaker 10 (20:36):
So everybody knew Post Malon's album was gonna be great,
but We didn't know it was gonna be this great.
The number one album in the US on the Billboard
two hundred chart, UH, dated Saturday, and this includes everything
the guys number one everywhere. Uh it's f one trillion.
If you haven't downloaded it or gotten it yet, you
(20:57):
need to because it's amazing.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
Although you've probably heard most of the good they're all
over the place, and they're all hit so it's insane.
The Voice returns with.
Speaker 10 (21:05):
A new season in a few weeks, and it will
be the last one for Reba McIntyre. She's announced that
her third season will be her last. She has a
bunch of other things coming up, especially her new sitcom
on NBC called Happy's Place. We don't know who will
be taking her place, but of course I'll keep you posted.
Deadpool and Wolverine won the North American box office for
Labor Day weekend nineteen point four million dollars over the
(21:27):
last four days. Cardivian Offset may not be officially together,
but they were united to celebrate their son's birthday. He
had an airplane themed party. It looked pretty damn cool,
it was. Did it have a sticky valve?
Speaker 19 (21:41):
You know?
Speaker 15 (21:41):
What?
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Did you see the text that came through Danielle. No,
if it's on a boweling, I'm not going.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
Oh all right, there you go to.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
You all right?
Speaker 10 (21:50):
And Ticketmaster couldn't handle the Oasis Reunion tour over in
the UK. The site crashed while fans waited in que
they got bumped from tick get Master. Apparently over one
million people logged in resale.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
You ready for this for the best seats.
Speaker 10 (22:06):
On this seventeen night tour going for eight thousand dollars
for one ticket. So it's just crazy. If people want
to see them, I guess they're getting along now. That
means always this for now.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
For we will that tour happen? That's my question.
Speaker 10 (22:21):
The Bachelorette, the season finale there tonight. You have a
lot of season finales. You also have the quarterfinals for
America's Got Talent. Hard Knocks is on Last one Standing.
And that is my Danielle report.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Excellent. No so one actually sent a text saying they'd
never heard of fat Man Scoop until he passed away. Wow,
but you have heard fat Man Scoop. You want to
your little Missy Elliott fat Man Scoop.
Speaker 12 (22:42):
Yeah music, Hey, it's Gandhi and you might have heard
of my podcast, Sauce on the Side. If not, come
explore the parts of my brain that we don't talk
about on the Big Show, everything from science to love
to the not so safe for work topics that make
us laughin me Every Wednesday for a new episode of

Speaker 13 (23:38):
Elvis Duran in The Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
Yeah, here we go back from your long weekend. A
lot of people, a lot of teachers listening today on
their way in for their first day back. I know
a lot some schools already in and a lot are
going back today, including a line nineteen our friend Caitlin
and wait you're hanging out to you. Well, good morning, Caitlyn.
This is your fifth year as a teacher. How excited
are you?
Speaker 6 (24:00):
Are?
Speaker 2 (24:00):
You like ready, good, yeah, I am.
Speaker 20 (24:03):
It actually felt like a very relaxing summer. Most teachers
come back and they're like, oh, the summer was so short,
but not this year.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
You had a good time. So this is year five
for you. How exciting is that?
Speaker 20 (24:15):
It's extremely exciting. It's actually my fifth year teaching overall,
my second in the same school. So it was a
relief to finally go back and I have to interview
over the summer, have to relax summer, knowing where I'm
going back into, very exciting.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
What grade do you teach?
Speaker 20 (24:33):
I actually teach third to fifth grade. I'm a reading interventionist,
so I take kids out of their classroom, help them
with comprehension, sonic fluency.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
Oh cool, you know what? Cause see when I went
to school, it was there was nothing that nothing that specific.
It was like, well reading, this is it right? Or
English maybe? But you you actually sit down and do
some one on one with kids that have very very
particular needs and explain to what you do.
Speaker 20 (25:06):
Yeah, so we look at the students, seeing who's not
meeting the great level expectations, and we pull them out
of their classroom during this i e. Time, meaning that
they're not missing anything from the main instruction. And so
we pull kids depending on their needs, group sizes between
one and four kids for about thirty minutes a day.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
Wow.
Speaker 20 (25:26):
And so we're really doing like games with them, teaching
them to read the books, having them read out loud,
practice like mimicking how I read it versus them. So
it's really fun. I'm really enjoying it.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
Wow. Congratulations. You sound like you really love what you do. Yeah,
I do. Good for you. You're good for us having
you out there listening. You can tell. We can tell
by the text messages. We have a lot more people listening.
A lot of people are getting back into the grind
into the year, and we're glad you're listening to us. Kaitlin,
you have a great year. Whatever you do, stay in
touch with this. Let us know what you need.
Speaker 15 (25:58):
Okay, thank you so much.
Speaker 20 (26:00):
She's great tracting too.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
You too. Take it easy now now. While she's going
in for day one, Scottie says today is his daughter's
last first day of school, before college. Yes, right, so
this is our senior year. And then she goes, you're
oh my god, I remember when she was borne.
Speaker 16 (26:17):
Yes, And she just sent me a picture of her
standing on the front stoop with the little first day
of school sign and it's her last first day of school.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
How do you feel about that, Daddy.
Speaker 16 (26:27):
It's incredibly emotional. Both of my kids have grown up
to be beautiful young ladies, and I just, I don't know,
it's it's very Uh. I'm happy, but I'm also sad
at the same time because they're growing up and I
just want to keep my little girls.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
You think about all those years of you know, raising
them and the good, the bad, you know everything, and
then one day you'd wake up and not to leave
the house. Oh my god, that would freak me out,
like Danielle freaked out last year.
Speaker 3 (26:54):
Please. What do you mean?
Speaker 10 (26:55):
Spencer's leaving saturday for the UK again. He's been on
for like three months. I'm like a basket case this week.
They're like, oh, second years easier, I go, not if
you're sending them to another country.
Speaker 6 (27:05):
It's not.
Speaker 21 (27:07):
Wow.
Speaker 16 (27:08):
I'm gonna tell you that the older they're getting, the
more emotional that I'm doing. It's just I just all
flashbacks of them being little always are popping into my head,
and it just makes me sad. There'll always be your
little girl, I know, you know.
Speaker 10 (27:17):
I found a video the other day of the two
of them when they were little doing high school musical
dances like my two boys, and like they were fake
guitars and rocking out, and it was the cutest thing.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
And I'm like, oh my god, do se Gandhi.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
We got to start now. This is our time to
have our child.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
This must be it. It sounds glorious.
Speaker 10 (27:37):
It really is, though, I mean, at the end of
the day, I wouldn't I wouldn't change it. This is
how I know used to happen, you know what I mean,
Like they're supposed to do these things.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
Well, Gandhi and I are ready to have our kids now.
I think we're motivating. Scary, join in scary. You should have. Hey,
there's something really interesting going on. I heard during the
song Gandhi and Froggy. You're talking about this guy who
was so oh so he was so excited about his
team winning. He was willing to go overboard and if
(28:08):
he lost the bet, he was going to do something
online that was disgusting. So to tell the story, Froggy,
what happened?
Speaker 11 (28:16):
So Florida State Seminoles played in Week zero, which was
a week ago this past Saturday, and they lost to
Georgia Tech said everybody, it was a big upset. And
this fan who was a giant fan of Florida State
went online and said if and Florida State played Boston
College last night, he went online last week and said,
if Florida State loses to BC Boston Collins this weekend,
(28:37):
I will eat dog crap out of a red solo
cup with a spoon and post the video of me
doing it.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
Book it.
Speaker 11 (28:46):
Florida State lost the Boston College last night. They got
their ass whip. He has deleted his Twitter accounts gone yes,
yeah done.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
So what what did you say to frog give about Tiscondi.
Speaker 12 (29:01):
No, we were saying that we think there need to
be social media police, specifically for these reasons, because you
don't get to just make that promise and then vanish.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
Wow, we expect to see you eating dog crap.
Speaker 11 (29:14):
It's got to happen. When do you social media enforcement police?
When you make statements like this, you got to follow
through with it. You can't just do this and disappear.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
Wait, what about all those people whose presidential candidate didn't
win and they were going to move to Canada. We'll
move there as that's fine. What's going on? We must
and we So you're saying we need enforcers on social media?
Speaker 11 (29:37):
Yes, this guy owes us a big old dog turn
out of the red.
Speaker 12 (29:44):
Discussing honestly makes me want to vomit, But I still
think you.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
Should follow through.
Speaker 14 (29:47):
Can this can this be like that thing they just
did yesterday with the hot dogs on Netflix?
Speaker 2 (29:51):
Can we have the competition of this guy this like
live thing on Netflix? They actually they actually put him
in cuffs, They take him downtown, they take him to
the they take him to the studio where the cameras
are on.
Speaker 11 (30:03):
Okay, start eating, make the food for us?
Speaker 2 (30:13):
Okay, all right, bone of a teat, that's too funny.
Well he did, I heard him. Well, here's the thing.
While we were all off for the vacation, we were
keeping an eye on each other's social media. No promises
were made, like you know, eating things out of a
solo cup. But watching you guys play at play was
(30:38):
just for me. I felt like I felt like a
parent watching my kids having a great time, I mean
everything from Danielle and her family and wow, that was
a trip. And we learned a lot about a place
that's kind of close to where we live. That's really cool.
And then we watched Gandhi and Diamond and Andrew and
Coast to Boy Josh trapesing around some of those beautiful
(31:00):
places in the world right here in our own country.
And I want to I want to get into this.
I want us to come back in a few minutes
and start talking about where you guys went, what you did,
some behind the scenes stuff that maybe we didn't see.
Speaker 3 (31:12):
Think about that, okay, and I guess the Diamond even
came back. I'm shocked alive anyway, Ye, I'm proud of her.
Speaker 2 (31:22):
I'm proud of her too. But she she runs away
from deer, yes she does.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
She doesn't listen to instruction, she doesn't take instruction. Well,
but that's okay.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
Anyway, I want to get into that. I want I
want you guys to like talk about where you went,
what you did. I know it's impossible to cover it
all on you know, a single show or a break
or two, but you can if you're following Danielle or
Gandhi on social media. You'll see you can see and
know the stories. You can go back and look at stories, right,
(31:51):
there's a way.
Speaker 12 (31:51):
To do that, right, No, yeah, they go out away
after twenty four hours. I made a reel of one
of the places that we want I'm going to post
all week because of course we were on vacation.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
I couldn't do it.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
Then I do it now there if you check the
reels then, and we need to get into that in
a few minutes, all right, because you guys look like
you just had the best time ever while I was
in line a motor vehicles and I was getting my
tires realigned and fighting with a cable company. That was
my vacation. Oh, it's just hilarious. Right. We do not
(32:25):
have a free money phone tap today, but we'll give
you a phone tap, so it's worth absolutely nothing. Let's
get into the three things we need to know from Gandhi,
and then when we come back, let's start talking about vacations.
I want people to be able to go online and
see what you did post that's still there, and back
it up and talk about what you're looking at. Pretty cool,
all right, Gandhi, what's.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
Going on all right?
Speaker 12 (32:43):
Researchers say that there are markers and routine blood tests
that can predict the risk of heart disease thirty years
before you actually have heart disease. A certain type of
fat and an indicator of inflammation can predict the risk
of heart attack, stroke, and of course, heart disease. The
study found women with the highest levels were one and
a half times more likely to have a stroke and
three times more likely to develop heart disease over the
(33:04):
next three decades.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
The study was published.
Speaker 12 (33:07):
In the New England Journal of Medicine. If you had
to pick a state that was the most fun state
in which to live, which state would you?
Speaker 2 (33:15):
Guys?
Speaker 3 (33:16):
Choose?
Speaker 2 (33:17):
Whatever state you're in, Gandhi, Oh, yes.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
That's it.
Speaker 12 (33:19):
It's actually Florida. Florida is apparently the most fun state.
A new study from wallet hub ranked all fifty states
across more than two dozen key indicators, including accessibility to
national parks, nightlife, and other activities. Researchers determined that the
Sunshine State took the lead because of its number of restaurants,
amusement parks, and music festivals per capita. Coming in at
number two was California, and we mentioned it earlier, but
(33:43):
if you haven't gotten your tickets for tonight's Mega Millions drawing,
you might want to do that. It will be worth
six hundred and eighty one million dollars. That cash option
works out to just over three hundred and thirty six million.
And those are your three things.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
Who chooses to get up at this time?
Speaker 13 (33:57):
I know Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
When they's breakfast two for three dollars Biggie bundles let
you choose your perfect duo from your favorite four including
a sausage or egg and cheese biscuit, small seasoned potatoes,
or medium hot coffee.
Speaker 16 (34:12):

may vary. Not valid in a combo single item at
regular price.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
Elvis dan in the Morning Show, we want to send
you in a guest on an all inclusive, incredible Caribbean
getaway to any sandals or beaches resorts in Jamaica. I
don't know if you're following along while we were on
vacation last week, but both Scary and Scotty b we're
in Jamaica hanging out hit some of the most incredible,
incredible all inclusive resorts, and we're gonna send you to
(34:40):
one of those. Simply go to Elvis Duran dot com.
You get the rules and you can enter to win
your trip today. That's Elvis Duran dot com. Go now
for all inclusive paradise. I mean scary, How was it?
Did you love it?
Speaker 1 (34:53):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (34:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 17 (34:54):
I went to Sandals Dun's River and I didn't realize
what what they've unfold what's unfolded there? Like they had
this this nightly entertainment. One night was a magic show.
The next night it was the trapeze acts. I saw
a fire they did. They did like a fire, you know.
Speaker 2 (35:12):
The fire They have fire there with fire doing a
hula hoop of fire and uh. And they did a
silent disco one night. And then and you know me that,
you know, I'm such a big foodie and I love
I love my restaurants. They at this specific resort, they
had a Greek spot, they had this the most amazing
fresh sushi and and and a French restaurant which was
(35:34):
second to none. I was like, wow, I was bowled over.
I could not It was all inclusive, which really inclusive. Yeah,
that's the thing. And and all these you know. You know,
I'm not a big water sports person, but all that
stuff they had, I can't believe just hearing you say
the words water snort. You're like, you like water, You're
(35:56):
good with water sports. So they have anyway, go ahead.
Speaker 17 (35:59):
They they give you unlimited uh land and water sports,
you know. And I went to Dun's River falls and
I don't know if you guys can describe it better
than I can, but it's it's a huge waterfall that's
streaming water. I didn't know what I was getting into
it first, but Robin and I climbed the falls. We
went from the bottom and it took us about an hour.
You gotta wear water shoes and you get to.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
The top and we we made it.
Speaker 17 (36:22):
And I'm not an athletic person by any stretch of
the imagination, but I made it. I walked over to
the fall, I literally climbed up the fall from the
bottom and I didn't fall.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
And it was amazing.
Speaker 17 (36:34):
That was and that was all part of the Sandals
experience that I got at Dun's River. So I highly
recommend it.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
What's the matter? Elvis is in disbelief. Unless we lost Elvis.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
I think we lost it.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Usually when I tell a story like that, he tells
the whole room be quiet, everybody just scary.
Speaker 12 (37:00):
At this time, were you and study at the same
place or Stody.
Speaker 16 (37:03):
No, I I was at beaches in the Grill. It's
funny because when two teenagers like are in awe of
the beauty of a place, they've done something right there.
So it was just we had so much fun. We're
on the beach every day. We did the water sports
like Scary. You went to falls like Skary did, and
there was also it was really cool because we got
(37:23):
to be a part of Sandals has a foundation called
Sandals Foundation where they go into the communities and the
schools and they help out and it's actually something you
can do if you're a guest there.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
It wasn't just us.
Speaker 16 (37:33):
So we were able to go to a local school
and distribute backpacks and that was really cool. I was
so happy that my girls were able to be a
part of that, and so that was just a small
part of our trip. And it's just it's just so beautiful.
It was beautiful. Waking up to that every morning was insane.
Speaker 10 (37:48):
And then you land back in New Jersey and you
love Okay now I'm kidding.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
I'm kidding.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
We love you.
Speaker 2 (37:52):
I was checking out Scottie.
Speaker 17 (37:54):
I'm like, hmm, you know, if I ever did have kids,
I would go to beaches.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
I would do it. Oh my god, it's just what
I I can't believe. I was disconnected and I come
back and you're talking about having kids. I don't know. Okay, sorry, Yeah,
I was in I was in such disbelief about you
climbing those river falls. What I had to I had to.
I had to take a moment. Anyway, where were we
(38:21):
What did I miss? We thought you were doing your
silent routine. For about five minutes, Scotty was sharing, you know,
about his book. Well, let's hear it for Jamaica. You
guys have a great time, all right. If you want
to win your trip for your all inclusive Caribbean getaway
to Sandals or beaches resorts in Jamaica, go to Elvis
(38:42):
duran dot com get the rules and entry today. Now
I think we can move over to Danielle. Danielle believe
it or not, found a spie. We've always been talking
about the need to go on safari, right, Yeah, so
you said, well, we only have a limited amount of time,
we can't really make it to So you drove down
the Jersey Turnpipe and you found something that you really, truly,
(39:05):
truly believe is going to be an incredible destination for
almost all of us at some point.
Speaker 3 (39:10):
So good.
Speaker 10 (39:11):
So it's in Jackson, New Jersey. Six Flags Great Adventure.
If you're from the area, you know they have the Safari, right,
So now they have something called Savannah Sunset Resort and Spa,
and what it is, it's like a family glamping adventure.
You're basically staying on the Safari. It is so insane
and so incredible, and you're in what you think is
(39:33):
a tent obviously, and then when you get onto your
like veranda, at least the room we were staying in
it was the Safari was my backyard. I woke up
to giraffes every morning. I woke up to all different
animals every morning. It was the coolest thing. And then
you got to go on the Safari. You got to
feed giraffes every morning. We fed the giraffes. They like,
by the way, they have very long tongues and they
(39:55):
love ice cream, cones.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
And sweet potato.
Speaker 10 (39:58):
And I fell in love with giraffes on this trip.
I'm so obsessed with them right now. They're they're so
cool because they're curious, they're friendly, they're cute.
Speaker 3 (40:08):
I mean, they're just I love them.
Speaker 10 (40:10):
And then there's some VIP experiences you could get, so
we went and we pet rhinos, and then we went
and we had some giraffes stick their heads into the car,
which was hysterical, and they were licking the pollen off
the car because that's what they do if they're around
your car.
Speaker 2 (40:25):
Wow.
Speaker 10 (40:25):
But yeah, there you go, and you know they have
they have a three hundred and fifty acre wild safari,
so you just you're part of it. And then when
you're staying there, there's like little cars and stuff that
will take you to and from the water park or
the amusement park. So we got to ride all the
rollercoasters and we got to do all the rides one day,
and just it is just such a great experience. And
(40:47):
everybody who works there obviously are experts on the animals,
and they take care of the animals and they make
sure the animals are safe.
Speaker 3 (40:53):
That's their number one priority.
Speaker 10 (40:55):
And they're just all so cool and nice and you
eat and you drink and you sleep and I just
can't even it sounds amazing, it's amazing.
Speaker 2 (41:03):
Yeah, and how long have they have they been opened, so.
Speaker 10 (41:06):
They've only been opened since June, so wow, it's brand new. Yes,
it's brand new. The spot isn't one hundred percent open yet.
That will be opening and they're adding more rooms. But
they're open now for weekends I think through the beginning
of December and then obviously next summer they'll be open
again all you know seasons. So it's just it's really
something you should look into because it was such an
(41:27):
incredible experience and I can't believe how amazing these animals are.
You know, my family loved it and we just had
a great experience, a great family experience. Or you know,
if you want to go with your girlfriends, your guy friends,
you have, whatever.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
I would love to go now and now has it
made you stop and think I need to take my
family on safari? Now you need to do it, you know.
And we talk about our friend of Vienna all the
time who is a guide down in Africa and Tanzania,
and uh, we always reiterate, reiterate, you can go. It's
it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to actually
go on safari in Africa. Believe it or not, it
(42:01):
just sounds so foreign because you're like, well, who can
afford that? You can? Everyone can, And what a great
way to get an intro to that, like you just did.
Speaker 10 (42:08):
I love that And I'm going to post more pictures
later on today. I haven't really you know, because we
were I was trying to just enjoy it. So now
we're back, so I will pre posting and you'll see tell.
Speaker 2 (42:17):
Everyone where to go to find out more information.
Speaker 10 (42:19):
So it's Savannah Sunset Resort and Spa in Jackson, New Jersey,
six Flags Great Adventure. So if you google six Flags
Great Adventure you can read all about it.
Speaker 2 (42:28):
There you go. Excellent. Now, So watching the crazy antics
Gandhi and Diamond and Andrew and Josh, I'm surprised you
all four got back alive, as am I. Maybe it's not,
you know, eaten by a bear, just killing each other,
(42:51):
even by a.
Speaker 12 (42:51):
Josh because you give Josh five seconds to himself and
he's choking somebody.
Speaker 2 (42:55):
Yeah, it was insane, but it looked like you guys
had the most magical time in the most incredible, incredible
part of our country. It looked beautiful.
Speaker 12 (43:05):
I think it was one of the most fun trips
that I've been on in a while. I had so
much fun with them. I am so proud of Diamond
and the things that she did. Your girl over there
who cannot swim, went whitewater rafting and she did a
great job. It was wonderful. I have never seen things
like that with my own eyes. I love to get
(43:25):
out and you know, explore Man Glacier National Park is insane.
I there were times I wanted to cry because it
was so pretty, and we just kept being like, Wow,
oh my god, Yellowstone incredible, Grand Tetons incredible.
Speaker 1 (43:39):
We hiked.
Speaker 12 (43:40):
I don't know how many steps we got in. We
got in so many steps. I feel like it was
such a good workout for us. And we still partied
and we saw the dumbest people on the planet.
Speaker 5 (43:51):
Firth.
Speaker 2 (43:51):
Oh, really talk about that there.
Speaker 12 (43:54):
First of all, when you get to Yellowstone and when
you go into the rooms that we were at, which
by the way, shout out to Delaware North because they
hooked us up with all of this and it was amazing.
There's a video playing about all the ways you can
die in Yellowstone, so clearly bears, buffalo. Everybody wants to
touch the buffalo. The buffalo don't want to be touched.
Speaker 2 (44:11):
You don't get near a buffalo.
Speaker 3 (44:13):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (44:14):
People do people pull people pull over to the side
of the road. I've seen them do it at Yellowstone
and they'd run after the buffalo, faking the buffalo wants
a hug. That buffalo does not want a hug.
Speaker 12 (44:26):
I learned so much about how fierce they are by
the way they can clear a six foot fence from
a standing position a giant buffalo. And these idiots are
bringing their children and holding their kids in front of
a buffalo in his face. Crazy people. Same with bears.
We had two bear encounters, technically three. One of them
was very safe. It was from far away. Our guide
(44:48):
found this bear up in a hill. It was awesome.
Diamond was all about that one. The second one was
an actual bear encounter where we were hiking and there
was like a crowd sort of stuff like, what's happening,
what's going come on? We hear a little rustling like
Jurassic Park, and then the scariest thing you could ever
see a nature popped out, which was a bear cub.
Speaker 1 (45:07):
It ran up a tree.
Speaker 12 (45:08):
So Diamond panicked immediately and did everything wrong that you're
told not to do.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
She ran.
Speaker 1 (45:15):
She ran.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
You're not supposed to run in front of the bear
because they say dinner, they take your dinner. Dinner runs
from bear.
Speaker 12 (45:22):
She she tried to run with our bear spray by
the way, and then she instead of just leaving us,
she ran off with strangers.
Speaker 1 (45:31):
We didn't even know who they were.
Speaker 2 (45:33):
We didn't know what turn scary turn on Diamonds, Diamond, Diamond,
I mean, you know you that was a little frustrating
for the rest of the group. Right.
Speaker 6 (45:42):
Well, first of all, I think we're all over exaggerating.
I didn't run.
Speaker 3 (45:45):
It was more of like a brisk.
Speaker 2 (45:47):
Walk to them. That's to them, that's running.
Speaker 6 (45:51):
But I uh, I just asked the people around me
who has bear spray, and a woman raised her hand
and I said, I'm going.
Speaker 1 (45:58):
With you, girl.
Speaker 6 (45:59):
I'm out of I'm not staying around where there are bears.
And then people are just standing there taking pictures of
the bears and stuff like that. A cub, those are
some things you don't play with.
Speaker 1 (46:10):
Okay, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
You're playing with them. There's distance between you and the cub.
I'm sure right, a little bit very.
Speaker 6 (46:17):
Close, and people wanted to get even closer.
Speaker 2 (46:19):
I'm like, that's stupid, that's stupid, because where there's a cub,
there's a mother, and a mother will kill you. I'm
a team Diamond on this one.
Speaker 12 (46:26):
No, no, no, because here's the thing, and this is what
I was trying to explain this them. I was like, you, guys,
there are so many idiots standing here that are trying
to get up on these bears. We just keep walking,
keep your head down, keep walking, go up and around
the way.
Speaker 1 (46:36):
They told us to someone else is gonna get it
from one of these bears.
Speaker 12 (46:39):
It's not gonna be us because there are dummies over here,
like we're fine, let's just keep moving. But we got
separated in the woods, and Diamond was with strangers. We
didn't talk about where we're going to meet up. There's
no service, there was nothing. When I tell you, Andrew
was panicked. He's like, she's gonna be dead. She died,
She's gonna be dead. Diamonds at the bottom of the trail,
thinking we died, so back by the way, so we
(47:02):
saw those two bears on the way. We never saw
MoMA which was even more terrifying. On the way back,
we saw the big one and that was up in
a hill and I said, we just keep just keep going,
just keep walking, of course, and I take my phone
out and record as I was walking.
Speaker 1 (47:15):
Yes, I did.
Speaker 12 (47:16):
But we got out of there, and when we got
to the bottom of the hill, we're like, Diamond is
not going to be in the woods clearly, So she's
out on the road somewhere.
Speaker 1 (47:25):
So we walk out to the road.
Speaker 12 (47:27):
We're walking maybe like thirty yards and I just see
somebody dancing under a road sign and I was like,
there she is. Oh my god, thank god, there she is.
Everybody was so happy. We jumped on each other.
Speaker 1 (47:36):
It was great. It was great.
Speaker 2 (47:39):
And that was just one of many situations.
Speaker 3 (47:42):
One hike.
Speaker 1 (47:43):
That was one hike.
Speaker 2 (47:44):
These people, jeez, but yeah, but but Glacier National Park,
did you did you guys see like you saw the
river trails and things like that. There's no way to
describe it. It's a trail, but it's river.
Speaker 1 (47:57):
There's no way.
Speaker 12 (47:58):
We The first hike we did, I think it was
like six miles. It was up to Avalanche Lake and
you hike up this mountain which is by the way
riddled with bears, and you get to a place that
is only what I would describe as like heaven. I mean, wow,
it was so beautiful. This lake in the middle of
a mountain that.
Speaker 1 (48:17):
Was crystal clear, with three waterfalls.
Speaker 12 (48:19):
Coming down into it from the mountains. It was just
it was beautiful. It was so so so pretty.
Speaker 1 (48:24):
And Andrew was like, oh my god, I've never seen
something like this in America. It I can't say it enough.
Speaker 12 (48:31):
Go out there, go out west, go to the national parks,
even the ones out east, whatever. The national parks are amazing.
America has it all.
Speaker 2 (48:36):
We have everywhere we do, we really do. And you
know what, and I'm assuming you guys are already starting
to think about your next one.
Speaker 1 (48:42):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 12 (48:43):
We sent each other so many little plans. The Pacific
Northwest looks amazing. Olympic Park looks awesome. I would go
back to Glacier and just spend the entire time at
Glacier because there was a lot that we didn't even
get to do. I mean we were there for three days,
three four days, and we did horseback riding that was amazing.
My horse was the problem child of the group and
(49:05):
would wait until all the other horses went down a
hill and run, it would run down the hill. Nate,
I know you think you can ride a horse that's running.
Speaker 1 (49:14):
It's terrifying.
Speaker 2 (49:15):
No, especially a horse going downhill or uphill. Especially if
you go uphill, the horse accelerates right because and it
scares you if you're not used to it. But a horse,
you know, just like a person, you can't just walk
up hill. You got to run it. And a horse
would do it. But going downhill, you're like, I'm gonna die.
Speaker 1 (49:33):
I was They put me in the back.
Speaker 12 (49:35):
They were like, yeah, we put you in the back
because you have the problem horse. His name was half Nick.
Apparently he only pays attention when he feels like it,
and he's a bully and he's mean to the other horses.
Speaker 1 (49:43):
Left me in the back by myself.
Speaker 2 (49:45):
Well, you and your your horse had a lot of
comment there, God is saying, my God. Listen to Alley
on line nineteen her she's been attacked by bison a
couple of times.
Speaker 1 (49:55):
Alli Alli.
Speaker 9 (49:57):
Yeah, so I had my daughter and my husband in
the car with me, and it's one of those wildlife
refugees or refuge refuges, whatever you call it. To drive, Yeah,
where you drive through, and we stopped because the bison
were like right by the road, and you know it,
(50:19):
it stopped in front of our car and started like
growling at us in brunting. And so I'm like, oh
my god, because we couldn't drive anywhere because they were
like surrounding our car. And so I actually have a
video of it getting up on its hind legs and
it put its front legs on our car and was
like rocking our car.
Speaker 2 (50:39):
Wow. Now was it trying to mate with your car?
Speaker 9 (50:44):
I don't know. You know, I have a minivan and
it's kind of good, a good looking minivan.
Speaker 2 (50:49):
So maybe yeah, Dodge caravan. I love humping on those.
Speaker 9 (50:55):
Well, and then you know, I was there a couple
of weeks later for a field trip with my class,
and the bison kind of did the same thing. They
surrounded the school bus. Wow, throwing their body weight, throwing
their body weight against it.
Speaker 2 (51:10):
Let me ask you, where exactly where were you during
these bison attacks? What part of our country?
Speaker 9 (51:16):
I live in Altuna, Iowa, and this is like a
wildlife refuge about twenty miles from Altuna.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
Now, after the bill, then.
Speaker 9 (51:28):
Neil Smith Wildlife refuge, just wonderful.
Speaker 2 (51:30):
Okay, now after the bison makes love to your truck,
do you have to use the windshell wipers with this?
You know?
Speaker 9 (51:39):
Yeah, we have mud all over?
Speaker 2 (51:41):
Okay, well we have mud all over.
Speaker 9 (51:43):
I hope that.
Speaker 2 (51:44):
Okay, all right, there you go, well listen, thank you,
and look we got to keep in mind. And you
were reminded there, and of course Gandhi was reminded with
her with her cast of characters. Uh that where is
their hood? Now? They they call the shots where they're
as observers and as soon as you think you're in
control and you can just go up to them as
you want and take pictures with them and hug them,
(52:06):
you're gonna die, you really are. But I don't know
why people can't be happy enough just observing. Observing is
where the fun is, just watching them do their own thing, right,
I would think, Oh, and.
Speaker 9 (52:18):
Well why would they make it a drive through one though?
You know, they shouldn't have made it a drive through
refuge if they didn't want people to be so close.
Speaker 2 (52:27):
Well, yeah, there's that. I don't know.
Speaker 12 (52:29):
Well, it's either driver walk, you're not gonna walk, and
now it's gonna get shut down yeah, because people can't
just stand in their cars.
Speaker 2 (52:35):
All right. Well, look, thank you so much. Ali, I'm
glad that you and your your minivan survive the bison attacks.
I've never said that to any listener ever toil today anyway,
just what yes, go.
Speaker 12 (52:48):
So I'm basically a junior park ranger. Now I just
need everybody to know that got the book and everything,
and I was taught how to safely clear bison from
the road.
Speaker 1 (52:58):
There is a safe way to do it, and they
let you do it.
Speaker 2 (53:00):
Do it? How do you do it?
Speaker 12 (53:01):
So they have really bad site, but they have pretty
good hearing. You just stick your arm out of the
car and bang on the side of your car and
they flee.
Speaker 3 (53:08):
They did this, they run off. This happened when.
Speaker 10 (53:10):
We were in the Savannah sunset because we needed to
get out and there was a bunch of bison sitting
in front. So the guy came by, the guy that
was in charge of the whole thing, the ranger, and.
Speaker 3 (53:22):
He did that. He banged on the side of the car.
Speaker 2 (53:24):
There you go, just it.
Speaker 3 (53:25):
They walked to them.
Speaker 2 (53:27):
That's what you do. Yeah, as far as bison goes,
you bang on your car before they bang your car.
It's fine, just one way of looking at it anyway.
We could go on and on for hours. I just
want to make sure if you haven't had an opportunity
to do it. I know it's a lot of work.
Danielle and Gandhi and and Scary and and Scotty, be
(53:47):
put as much up on your social media as you
can because people want to see this stuff. I was
watching you guys, but the stories disappear, you know, and
it looked like you just had the best time. My
favorite thing that you posted, Gandhi was nothing but stars
at night. Oh my god, it was breathtaking. I know
you didn't use any filters. That was all natural. People
(54:08):
think it's not real. It is as real as real
can being. I loved seeing that.
Speaker 12 (54:12):
It's incredible, and that was a moment where I realized
Josh and I are also not the brightest bulbs. We
were very stupid to do that, but it was totally
worth it. And your iPhone, by the way, can take
really amazing pictures of the sky, so I can't even
imagine how great the androids are. Probably even better, but
they were, I mean, those stars were out. I felt
like they just came out to show us a good time.
It was incredible.
Speaker 2 (54:32):
I love it. We're running koind of late. We have
a phone tab. It's not worth anything. It's a totally
worthless phone tab. Well, no, I mean it's a phone
tap and that's all the way. Our friend Tommy de
Dario hosts, I've never said this before. It's a podcastere
He interviews our favorite actress and artists. Tommy who's on
the podcast this week?
Speaker 22 (54:52):
Hey, Elvis, I have actor Lucas Bravo on the show,
who is currently starring in the fourth season of Emily
in Paris. He is opening up about if his character
should have a happily ever after with Emily. You do
not want to miss it.
Speaker 2 (55:04):
I've never said this before. New episodes every Tuesday. Listen
on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaker 13 (55:17):
Bring it on ring.
Speaker 2 (55:28):
Why I am in here with you, Peter.
Speaker 18 (55:30):
She's absolutely ready to go back to work.
Speaker 2 (55:37):
In the morning show. Wow, what a beautiful day to
do a show. How look here, we we're back together
after a vacation and everyone's still high as a kite,
especially Gandhi and Coast Boy Josh. I don't know, coming
off that high of having some time off and now
we're back and we've got locks to cover about to
(55:58):
go around the room. Also, I want to find out
about this thirst trap that Scotty b put online. Did
you see that?
Speaker 12 (56:03):
Oh yeah, let me tell you this guy he was
shirtless for days.
Speaker 2 (56:07):
That was unintentional. I'm not kidding.
Speaker 3 (56:10):
You have the biggest thirst traps now, Like.
Speaker 2 (56:12):
Hey, I don't. I don't go into it with that
in mind, of course not. I mean I haven't. Wow,
talk about the nipples. I mean you your nipples were
on display for an entire week. I'm on the chubbs.
I mean, I don't this thirst trapping here. I think
we can be. Let's be honest. You look great. You're
you're the Zaddy of the show. You look you look great.
(56:35):
You're on vacation with your shirt off and Jamaica. By
the way, if you want to be a first trap
for your friends with your all inclusive Caribbean get away
to any sandals or beaches resort in Jamaica, do you
like Scotty Bedad, go to Elvis Duran dot com and
get the rules and enter today and you could be
topless in Jamaica. They make it so easy to thirst
(56:56):
trap there take.
Speaker 10 (56:57):
Thirst traps, Scotty with you.
Speaker 12 (57:00):
Face timed him one night, quite hammered, and that man
answered the shirt like the creepiest I can't even explain it.
He was shirtless, laying there. Hey, guys, what's going on?
Speaker 1 (57:10):
We were like.
Speaker 2 (57:13):
Me, I wasn't gonna not answer. Well. I will tell
you this, how many of us received drunk FaceTime messages
or calls from from Gandhi while you're on vacation.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
I did, no, we say here with your family.
Speaker 2 (57:29):
Yeah, I was. I was out. I was out with
a friend, hanging out, and all of a sudden, I was,
what's going on here? Turn it on and there's Gandhi
and Andrew and Coaster Boy Josh and Diamond all tickling
each other on a bed. Wow, what are you doing?
What are you doing?
Speaker 21 (57:47):
Well?
Speaker 1 (57:48):
Gang, we were playing with ourselves. Who's gonna answer? So Elvis?
We knew first time not a chance. So we're like,
we're just gonna keep calling him until he picks up
the phone.
Speaker 2 (57:56):
And I picked it up and there they are tickling
each other on a bed.
Speaker 3 (57:58):
Oh my goodness. He was like, what whatt it?
Speaker 12 (58:03):
Picked up on the first try? Scary picked up on
the first try. Nate did not answer, So, yeah, what else?
Speaker 1 (58:10):
It was just a little game.
Speaker 2 (58:11):
I woke up the next round.
Speaker 14 (58:12):
I had a dream the Gandhi face timed me and
apparently I looked at it and it was real.
Speaker 2 (58:19):
Yeah, yeah, that was fun. Well, you know, I was
already okay, let me just lay the cards on the
table here. I was already pissed off at you anyway, Gandhi,
because you guys were having the best vacation. I was
having a really crappy vacation. Okay, well yeah, I know,
But then then you're start rubbing it in and they're like, God,
I wish I was on that bed tickling with them.
Speaker 1 (58:41):
Next.
Speaker 2 (58:41):
So you can go to any bed in America and
have a tickle tickle competition like you guys.
Speaker 1 (58:46):
Sure, absolutely.
Speaker 2 (58:48):
Anyway, let's go around the room. Let's see what's on
the minds of all who are in the room. And uh,
we'll start with Scary, Scary, what's on your mind today?
I want to give a shout out to my sister,
Jennifer Scary. She's one of the many teachers for the
New York City public school teaching system that go back today.
The kids don't go back till Thursday. She's got to
go back today.
Speaker 17 (59:06):
But you know, building a classroom and going out and
buying your own supplies has become a pretty pretty normal
thing and pretty it's it's unfortunate, but they but basically,
you gotta do what you gotta do. So she comes
out of pocket every year to do what she's got
to do for her students. And I love my sister
for it. She's dedicated to the system. And I know
(59:27):
a lot of teachers are going through the same thing
on their way back today. Shout out specifically to the
NYC Public school system.
Speaker 2 (59:35):
Thank you. There you go, And what your sister is
doing is, like you said, it's not unusual and it's
a part of this weird system we have. It's doesn't
doesn't make sense to me. We love you teachers getting
back to school. Love you. What's up with you today, Nate?
I just had a heart I know I could see
it was. I was watching you and you look like
you were having a mind fart. Yeah, oh no, no, no,
(59:56):
I remember. Now, Okay, here it comes.
Speaker 14 (59:58):
So here's a little life lesson for if we need
one ever need to move and you want to ask
a friend for help, don't ask them to help you move.
Always ask this question, Hey, what are you doing on Saturday?
Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
Do you not? If you say I need help moving,
you're not gonna get a yes. But you say, hey,
what are you doing? And they say nothing? Great? That
is your life. Pro tip from me, Take it and
run with it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:26):
Give a little mover man.
Speaker 10 (01:00:27):
But he's right because after they say yes and then
you say what it's for, they can't kind.
Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
Of go back.
Speaker 21 (01:00:32):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:00:32):
No, oh no no no. If ever anyone asked me
what are you doing on such this date at a
certain time, I always ask why? Always why? And I
gotta tell you. Ever since I got my ram truck
from Gary Barbara on the boulevard, everyone is moving all
of a sudden, and I hear from them, Hey, you
got to do ram truck from Gary Barbara on the boulevard.
(01:00:55):
What are you doing Saturday? I'm driving my truck the
opposite way from your house. You have your own you
have your own truck, you'll find it. We're truck. Hey, Danielle,
what's going on with you? So?
Speaker 10 (01:01:07):
I would like to thank the New York Yankees for
a fabulous summer. So and my husband, Sheldon, because he's
the one who gets the tickets for us. So my
son Spencer is going back to the UK on Saturday.
That's a different story. I'm going to be hysterical again.
But anyway, Uh, he loves the Yankees so much. You
guys know that he went to eleven Yankee Games this summer.
(01:01:28):
I went to six. And whether they lose or they win,
we always have such a fantastic time. The organization itself
just puts on the greatest show. It's always fun being
at the stadium. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is fantastic,
and I just love it. So thank you to everyone at.
Speaker 3 (01:01:44):
The New York Yankees. We love you guys, and to
thank you to my husband for getting the great tickets.
Speaker 2 (01:01:49):
And what is summer you had?
Speaker 3 (01:01:50):
You know, we had an epic summer.
Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
It was ayantastic. It's fleeting. It's not yet. Don't make
me get mad at you. Not over until September twenty First, Hey, Froggy,
what's up with you to.
Speaker 11 (01:02:00):
So we like to hang out with our neighbors a
lot on our street and it was Sunday night. Of
course we didn't have to work on Monday, so Sunday
night we were there hanging out of a friend's house
and one of the fun neighbors brings over a stack
of solo comes and we ended up playing beer pong
and flip cup. I never played flip cup like official
rules the flip cup before. I was pretty good at it.
(01:02:22):
I was shocked how good I was. My team lost
every time, but it wasn't my fault. I got. I
chugged that drink and I flipped it on the first
or second try. There were other people that were not
so good. However, we had a lot of fun playing
flip cup, and then we got the kids involved. They
were chugging water, but they were helping.
Speaker 2 (01:02:37):
I think what we did this is the case is
why the state of Florida was voted most fun State. Yeah,
you're playing for having a lot of fun playing flip cup.
There you go, Hey, producer Sam, what's up with you today?
Speaker 4 (01:02:49):
I had the most uncomfortable run in with the listener
I've ever had, and it wasn't because of the listener,
whose name was Sarah. It was because she stopped me
on my way into a bathroom. I was at the
Short Hills Mall, and anyone who knows me knows for
whatever reason I wait until the last second, like I'm
going to miss out on something if I p just
when I know I have to. So I waited, and
she stopped me and asked for photos and was chatting.
And I'll tell you it was almost a very unflattering
(01:03:10):
photo to me because I was seconds away.
Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
From just losing it. Why I had to Why I
couldn't tell her that, I don't know. But Sarah, it
was really great to meet you. If I was dancing, that's.
Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
Why there you go so uncomfortable, I know, But what
if you're already add to urinal? Maybe not you?
Speaker 1 (01:03:25):
But can you ever know?
Speaker 18 (01:03:27):
He?
Speaker 2 (01:03:28):
Can we get a selfie? Yeah? Well you can? You
hold this for me real quick?
Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
How many is that?
Speaker 2 (01:03:34):
I don't know? Gandhi, what's up with you?
Speaker 1 (01:03:36):
Okay?
Speaker 12 (01:03:37):
I read a quote shortly before our vacation. I think
I screamed it a diamond like ten times and the
quote is everything you've ever wanted is on the other
side of fear by Georgia Dare. And I think about
that all the time, obviously not just related to Hey,
Whitewater raft with us, you'll have a life check.
Speaker 1 (01:03:53):
It'll be fun.
Speaker 12 (01:03:53):
I'll change your life. You'll feel so accomplished, but when
it comes to people laughing at you, the fear of failure,
whatever it is, I think fear holds us back from
so much in our lives that if you can just
power through it, it probably won't.
Speaker 1 (01:04:05):
Be as bad as you think it is.
Speaker 12 (01:04:07):
And I'm not talking about, you know, the fear of
falling off a cliff and walking to the edge of
the cliff, not stuff like that. The little things in
life that scare you, that let you, that that get
in the way of you pursuing your dreams. Try your
hardest to get over them, and you might just have
a completely different life. I think Diamond had a really
good time after whitewater rafting.
Speaker 2 (01:04:24):
Looks like you guys had an incredible time white Water
the whole thing. Your whole trip looked just amazing. You
and and all of you and all of your trips
were fantastic. I'm so happy for you guys. And uh,
all right, we got more vacations all the way. It's
always good to have something on the calendar, right, Yeah,
oh yeah, it's very it's very important to do that,
(01:04:44):
you know, as far as fear goes, you were talking
about this, Yes, fear isn't only in the shape of
whitewater rafting or jumping out of an airplane, right, It
also can be in a conversation you need to have
absolutely now, when you want to go another layer deeper.
Maybe fear is keeping you from succeeding because it's a
(01:05:05):
conversation you are you're afraid to have with yourself. Absolutely right,
what are you eating, Nate? Okay? The thing is, success
is always on the other side of busting through that
wall of fear. If it's if it's something adventurous, if
it's something you need to face on your own, it's
(01:05:27):
it's it's keeping us back, you know. And uh, I
will tell you. One of the things I came face
to face with while on a lame vacation was reframing
my my thoughts about several things like that. What I
do with this, I don't know. We'll see, We'll see
where it goes. I think it's something we should all
we should all take time out with ourselves and try
(01:05:50):
to face some things, face some things that are keeping
us from living our lives. Because you only have this
much life left, you don't know, especially especially if you're
there with bears. Yep.
Speaker 12 (01:06:03):
But yeah, you're you're totally on point. Fear of talking
to your boss, fear of talking to yourself, fear of
being single. There's so much stuff that if you can
just break through that barrier of fear, might be the
best life you've ever had.
Speaker 2 (01:06:14):
The fear of not having children. Gandhi, let's do it, you.
Speaker 1 (01:06:17):
And me, baby, I'm not afraid of that at all.
Speaker 2 (01:06:20):
Danielle is coming up in a second. What do you
have coming up? Danielle?
Speaker 10 (01:06:23):
Jelly Roll and his wife. They are so in love
and it's adorable. And Matthew Perry, yep, these doctors. I
think they're going to jail.
Speaker 2 (01:06:30):
Okay that? And what about your road trip music? You know,
I know that you guys were in a car a
lot together, Gandhi with a of course, with Diamond and
Josh and Andrew. You listen to music the whole.
Speaker 1 (01:06:43):
Time, right, the entire time. Yeah, it was great.
Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
Can we try to guess the songs that they had
in power rotation during their road trip?
Speaker 1 (01:06:49):
Oh? I would love that. We do have a road
trip song.
Speaker 2 (01:06:51):
Game, all right, road trip songs. If you know your
music that's and you've been on a road you qualify
call now one eight hundred two four two zero one hundred.
All right, into the three things we need to know
from Gandhi. Let's move on. What's going on Gandhi?
Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
All right.
Speaker 12 (01:07:05):
Warm temperatures across the country are continuing into September. Heat
warnings are expected for over twenty five million people by Wednesday,
most of which are coming in the southwest. Los Angeles,
Las Vegas, and Phoenix could all see temperatures as high
as twenty degrees above normal. Daily records could also be
hit across the area for the next few.
Speaker 1 (01:07:24):
Days, So it's gonna be hot.
Speaker 12 (01:07:26):
Two US Marines are uninjured, thankfully, after they were attacked
by a nationalist mob in Turkey yesterday. The attackers were
reportedly angered by US support for Israel. The crowd held
the Marines while chanting Yankee go Home. The Marines, assigned
to the USST were taken to the hospital as a precaution,
but were fine and later returned to their ship.
Speaker 1 (01:07:46):
At least fifteen.
Speaker 12 (01:07:46):
People have been arrested, and finally, SpaceX is hoping to
successfully launch its latest historic mission this week after a
series of delays. According to a new schedule filed with
the FAA, Laire's Dawn is set to lift off tomorrow
from the Kennedy Space Center, with a backup planned for Thursday.
The mission, carrying four civilian astronauts, was initially set for
(01:08:09):
August twenty sixth, but was postponed due to helium leaks
and bad weather. The FAA cleared SpaceX flights over the
weekend after they were grounded amid an investigation into its
Falcon nine rockets. If all goes as planned, the Polaris
down mission will include the first ever commercial spacewalk.
Speaker 1 (01:08:26):
I'm not gonna lie. All of this sounds very terrifying.
Speaker 12 (01:08:28):
Yeah, civilian astronauts with what we know is already happening
up there.
Speaker 1 (01:08:31):
But hey, good luck.
Speaker 12 (01:08:32):
Everything you ever wanted to just on the other side
of fear and those are your three things.
Speaker 2 (01:08:36):
And sometimes you're stuck there, terrified in outer space.
Speaker 13 (01:08:40):
Thank you, Gandhi the Mercedes Benz Interview Lounge.
Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
We're talking about Ralph Maccio and Cobra Kaid. We're all
just kind of crazy that you're here today. Do you
hear that a lot?
Speaker 15 (01:08:52):
I mean, not around my ass.
Speaker 2 (01:08:55):
The Mercedes Benz Dream Days are here with exceptional offers

Speaker 3 (01:09:29):
Go Elvis, Teran and The Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (01:09:31):
All right, so you're on a road trip. There's four
of you. Listen. As example, we'll look at the road
trip that Gandhi just took with Diamond and Andrew and
Coast to boy chowk.
Speaker 15 (01:09:42):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:09:43):
So you have four people with four different tastes in music,
I believe, and you had to agree on a playlist
for your for your road trip, right absolutely, I mean,
how did this? How did this role? Because I remember
I checked in with you guys once and I said, hey,
you got to play this song. I love the song.
You're like, well, listen to what they're listening to up front,
they suck. I mean, there were fights going on.
Speaker 21 (01:10:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (01:10:05):
So the one thing everybody agreed on was the new
Casey Musgraves album, By the Way Deeper.
Speaker 1 (01:10:10):
Well, it's amazing, that's good.
Speaker 12 (01:10:12):
But I knew a lot of our listeners probably wouldn't
get those songs because it's a pretty new album and
I don't know if they know her yet. But that
was what we listened to the majority of the time.
The rest it was like, call out a song and
we're putting it in the playlist and we'll roll that way.
So it was quite a diverse selection. It is from
Disney Music to you know, all kinds of other stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:10:30):
Yeah, and there's songs in here that some people aren't
gonna get, you think, so No, Well, one of my
favorite songs is on here. I don't know if anyone
else knows it, though. I can't believe you guys had
that song number four in there.
Speaker 1 (01:10:40):
Oh oh yeah, yep, hmm yep. Diamond actually loves that one.
Speaker 2 (01:10:44):
Now, okay, good well she did she even know what?
He knew it existed before you played it for I
think she did. Okay, all right, Well, it's no time
for songs for the road trip. Of course, we're talking
about the brain trust, the think tank of Gandhi and
Diamond and Andrew and Coast of Boy Josh. Let's see
(01:11:04):
if we can get Sarah here online three Hi, Sarah, Hey, Elvis,
Hey guys, whoa listen to you? How was your three
day weekend? Was it nice?
Speaker 8 (01:11:16):
It was really nice?
Speaker 21 (01:11:17):

Speaker 2 (01:11:18):
Yeah, well it's over. It's okay.
Speaker 15 (01:11:23):
He is back to school, so I know.
Speaker 2 (01:11:25):
But look at you. Though you're in Brooklyn, you got
beautiful weather today. I know what kind of weather you have.
We have the same weather here and it's great. Now.
Look you must agree, Sarah that a very important part
of any road trip is the music, right.
Speaker 23 (01:11:36):
Absolutely no doubt it make or break every road trip.
Speaker 2 (01:11:41):

Speaker 8 (01:13:38):

to that song again. All right, so they're all over
the road. I mean they listened to everything. They had
a lot of time behind the wheel. So what about
songs for the road and song number five? What is this?

Speaker 2 (01:14:19):

listen to that in Jackson, Wyoming because they have nothing
but wagon wheels, wagon wheels and cow skulls, bullskulls. Wow,
all right, you got you got wagon wheel? Good for you?

the road trip, of course, with four very very very

Speaker 8 (01:17:34):
Brooklyn Rogers Arkansas.
Speaker 2 (01:17:37):
Oh oh, it says Brooklyn on the screen. I was wondering, okay,
well Rogers Arkansas. It's it's just like Brooklyn doesn't say Brooklyn.
It says Rogers, Arkansas on your screen. No, I'm looking
at Brooklyn. I think we're having okay. Well, anyway, Rogers
Arkansas is like it's the Brooklyn of the South. Yeah,
(01:17:59):
here we go. You're doing really well, though, Sarah. Here
is song number nine from their songs from the road trip.
Speaker 1 (01:18:06):
Nothing to Lose, Baby will Make something.
Speaker 9 (01:18:10):
Nothing, There you go, Chapman, you.
Speaker 24 (01:18:16):
Got it all right?
Speaker 2 (01:18:19):
Great, and finally the song that made me fall in
love with music as a child. This must have been
a bit much for the road trip if you played
it over and over. Song uver ten, Here we.
Speaker 23 (01:18:30):
Go, Bohemian Rhapsody, Queen, you got it?
Speaker 2 (01:18:48):
You did awesome, Sarah. I mean, how many did she get?
She got? Maybe there was a half point in there
is Sarah, you did really well. We're very very happy
that it was you and no one else, because sometimes
it doesn't work out that well. Great songs, Gandhi. I
love that road trip with Yeah, what are You for
(01:19:09):
a friend? Sarah.
Speaker 14 (01:19:10):
Oh, thanks to Hackensack Meridian help, we've got the Elvis
Duran in the Morning show hoodie here.
Speaker 23 (01:19:15):
Hey, I need a new hoodie.
Speaker 8 (01:19:18):
Can I get chilli soon?
Speaker 2 (01:19:20):
It's on the way. You're right, we're going from ice
cream season to wear a jacket and eat ice cream season.
It's totally fine with me. Hold on, Sarah, and thank
you for listening to beautiful Rogers Arkansas. Don't leave hold on,
Sangond and there you go. Every good road trip needs
a playlist. Let's get into Danielle's report. Danielle, we're down
(01:19:41):
to hear what we have gone on.
Speaker 10 (01:19:42):
Let's go all right, So we all know Jelly Roll
loves his wife Bunny, and she loves him, and they
celebrated their eighth anniversary over the weekend, and she made
it very clear on Instagram that he is so important
to her, and she said, you know, thank you for
cutting your fingers on all of my jacks edges.
Speaker 3 (01:20:00):
Without you, I wouldn't be the woman I am today.
Speaker 10 (01:20:03):
And you guys know they've been drew a lot together,
so it's very nice, that's all.
Speaker 3 (01:20:07):
It's good. So we've been.
Speaker 10 (01:20:09):
Watching this Matthew Perry story and everybody who basically sold
him the drug, the ketamine that killed him. So one
of the doctors agreed to a plea deal, doctor Mark Chavez.
He's one of five defendants in the case, and he
will plead guilty to one count of conspiring to distribute
ketamine and is facing up to ten years in prison.
Speaker 3 (01:20:30):
He is out on fifty.
Speaker 10 (01:20:32):
Thousand dollars bond right now, and he already had his
medical license suspended. So yeah, there's gonna be a lot
coming out about these doctors in the next couple of weeks,
so get ready. Esquire magazine is saying, Saving Private Ryan
Tom Hanks, it's the best live action movie from Tom Hanks.
Speaker 3 (01:20:51):
Do you guys agree, Save It Private Ryan?
Speaker 2 (01:20:54):
It's one of them. Absolutely, that was a moving film.
At when this last time you guys saw Saving.
Speaker 10 (01:20:59):
Private Oh my gosh, probably not since this came out, Yeah,
like all those years.
Speaker 3 (01:21:02):
Nineteen ninety eight is when it came out, So it's
been a while.
Speaker 10 (01:21:05):
They're saying Captain Phillips is number two, Apollo thirteen is third,
Big is fourth, and Splash comes in at number five.
Speaker 3 (01:21:12):
Splash was such a cute movie. You've never seen it?
You should really us wrest Gump not on there. Forrest
Gump is on there. It is number six.
Speaker 10 (01:21:20):
Yeah, apparently Rihanna is ready for baby number three.
Speaker 3 (01:21:23):
You know she's been busy. She had baby number one
and like twenty twenty two, baby number two and twenty
twenty three. Men, there's twenty twenty four. You might as
well happen the next one.
Speaker 10 (01:21:31):
But apparently she is talking about it, working on it.
But that's from other people's mouths, not actually Rihanna's. So
we'll just see One Tree Hill. You guys, remember that
it might get a sequel series. Netflix is reportedly developing
the show with a lot of the original stars. You guys,
remember Chad Michael Murray was in that, Sofia Bush other
people like that. So I will keep you posted on
(01:21:53):
whether or not.
Speaker 3 (01:21:53):
That's gonna happen.
Speaker 10 (01:21:54):
So Disney channels, including ABC and ESPM are currently unavailable
on Direct TV because of a contract dispute, So there
was a blackout of all Disney content and it impacted
millions of subscribers. US open college football, the opening of
the NFL season on September ninth, a presidential debate on
September twelfth, So a lot of these things will be
(01:22:16):
affected unless they can figure it out.
Speaker 3 (01:22:19):
By then, but who knows if that's gonna happen.
Speaker 10 (01:22:21):
And zach Efron was spotted partying with a bunch of
stars in Venice at the International Film Festival.
Speaker 3 (01:22:27):
You guys know that he reportedly.
Speaker 10 (01:22:29):
Got injured after he dived too deep into a swimming
pool while on vacation and he hit his chest in
the incident. Thank goodness, he is okay because like we said,
we saw him out. And about what are we watching?
Lots of season finales today. You've got the twenty first
season finale of The Bachelorette. America's Got Talent gives you
the quarterfinals. You've got the Surreal Life Last One Standing
Hard Knocks over on HBO. So a lot of good
(01:22:51):
stuff to watch this evening. And that is my Danielle report.
Speaker 2 (01:22:54):
Ec that text we just got. So my Elvis Duran
sweatshirt helped me sneak around my comfort any policy today
we can't wear non company uniforms. But my CEO loves
the Morning show and let it slide. Yes, there you go, Ceo,
Thank you so much. Do we have David Cats on
the line. We got to get something cleared up here.
All right, David, can you hear me?
Speaker 21 (01:23:19):
I can hear you.
Speaker 2 (01:23:20):
You can't hear me? Yeah, we can hear you. All right.
So David Kats is of course a partner of our show,
and he works behind the scenes to you know, I
don't know what do you do. We'll get into that later.
So while we're he has meetings, all right. So while
we were on vacation, he had a meeting. And so
since we weren't in our control room, David Kats had
a meeting right there where I usually sit, right and
(01:23:43):
so was it someone important? I'm sure it involved revenue.
Speaker 21 (01:23:47):
Knowing you well, of course it involved revenue, and I
thought it was very important, very nice. Can I or
should I say the person's name, because this for sure
had actually nothing to do with what you're about to
talk about.
Speaker 2 (01:24:00):
Up, go ahead, tell everyone who was here in our studio.
Speaker 21 (01:24:06):
Amanda Amanda Barone, and she is a salesperson extraordinary for
your show and we love you. Guys were all gallivanting
across the country and showing off your body and doing
all stuff like that. I stayed here and continue to work,
and Amanda and I decided to use the studio to
(01:24:28):
have our meeting.
Speaker 2 (01:24:30):
All right, what time of day was that?
Speaker 21 (01:24:34):
We scheduled for nine to fifteen?
Speaker 2 (01:24:36):
Oh, so, so the show was on. We were playing
what we call classics, classic moments from our show. And
so the show was on while you were you were
in the studio, will could you listen in?
Speaker 21 (01:24:48):
Not only was it on, it was quite loud.
Speaker 2 (01:24:51):
I must okay, right.
Speaker 8 (01:24:53):
And so.
Speaker 21 (01:24:56):
I'm the only one here. I don't know outside the
studio you have that little box where you can turn
the volume down. So of course I'm thinking there must
be a little box in the studio where you can
turn the volume nod down. I don't see the box
to your control board. The all of the buttons are
down except for two. I'm like, oh, this must be it.
(01:25:17):
So I lowered both of the buttons and the.
Speaker 2 (01:25:22):
Sound went down. And so you could have a nice
quiet meeting. You could have a nice quiet meeting and
talk about making money for the show. Exactly right?
Speaker 21 (01:25:32):
And then should I continue or do you want to
lead me through this?
Speaker 2 (01:25:36):
Well, so Garrett was actually in charge of the show
and he was working remotely, and what did you hear
on your side, Garrett? Nothing?
Speaker 25 (01:25:43):
So David's meeting started a little early and so I'm
looking at the computer and making sure everything's going well,
and then all of a sudden, the computer just freezes,
and I thought. I was like, no, no, my computer's broken.
What do I'm doing? So I hit the play button
to continue this song that stopped, and then ten seconds
(01:26:04):
later the song stopped again, and I'm like, what is
going on here?
Speaker 2 (01:26:08):
Why now? No?
Speaker 25 (01:26:09):
No, no, So I called it. I call our engineer, Jeff,
and he goes, what are you doing? I go, I
have done nothing. I've been sitting here. I need your help.
Please go in. So Jeff, our engineer, comes into the
studio where he finds David Katz having his meeting, and he.
Speaker 2 (01:26:26):
Says, and there's no show. The show is totally off.
The show is off the air. So, David, when you
turned down what you thought was the little box, you
turned down the big box. You turned down an entire
morning show. The morning show was off across the country
because it was too loud and in the studio is
what you're telling.
Speaker 21 (01:26:45):
Wow, Yeah, So what did you all do that morning?
I shuck down a network.
Speaker 2 (01:26:51):
Yeah, the whole network.
Speaker 25 (01:26:53):
It was like a scene out of a movie where
I was trying to flip the radio station back on,
and David was flipping it off, and I was hitting
it back on and he was flipping back.
Speaker 2 (01:27:00):
I wasn't. So David's excuses, well, I don't know how
to run these boards. What am I? Well, exactly, that's
why you shouldn't run the board. It's like, would you
walk into the cockpit of an airplane?
Speaker 7 (01:27:10):
What is this?
Speaker 2 (01:27:11):
NB DUD engineer Jeff is here and cares to comment.
Speaker 19 (01:27:16):
Jeff, I actually had a text David after I walked
out of the room and apologized to him because I
yelled at him so loud because he just took the
entire network off the air and told him to never
in touch a console.
Speaker 2 (01:27:32):
He did not.
Speaker 21 (01:27:36):
Well, the only thing I'd like to add, if I may,
because now that it's out in the open, Uh, this
thing kept going back and forth between Garrett and myself
well before Jeff ever came running into the studio, you know,
so you know all, I went back.
Speaker 2 (01:27:52):
The way hold on, So you're wait, hold on, So
you're throwing Jeff under the bus for something you did.
Speaker 21 (01:27:59):
What I'm doing is telling you that. So the for
time I took music down, I walked back over to
the seat where it near Gandhi Sits. I sat down,
began talking with Amanda, and all of a sudden, the
music popped up again.
Speaker 20 (01:28:12):
I got up.
Speaker 21 (01:28:13):
I walked back over to that board and I started
moving the lever of down. And this went on for
three or four times before Jeff came in.
Speaker 19 (01:28:22):
Because David I was sitting in my office remotely restarting
everything because I thought it was a technical problem, and
he kept going off, and I ran down to the
studio and found that it was David Katz problem.
Speaker 2 (01:28:36):
David, may I make a suggestion, next time you need
to have a meeting, go do it at light FM. Well,
let's at lea show him the right button to lower
the music. Don't no, no, no, don't touch any buttons.
You know, we have all these rooms that.
Speaker 19 (01:28:51):
You could go to and you just turn his ID
card off to get into the studio.
Speaker 2 (01:28:56):
Yeah, yes, Gandhi wist I love it.
Speaker 12 (01:29:00):
It was a tug of war. Like the first time
it went off and came back on. David didn't think, oh,
maybe I shouldn't have done that. He was like, I'm
gonna do it again again and again.
Speaker 2 (01:29:10):
I'll just yeah, I'll show them exactly. Geez.
Speaker 21 (01:29:14):
Well, The funniest part of the end of that story is,
so I leave the building and I'm walking to an
appointment and all of a sudden, my phone rings and
I see it you. I'm like, oh crap, I can't
believe he knows so quickly. And I just pick up
the phone and go, I'm I'm sorry. I didn't mean to.
Speaker 2 (01:29:33):
Do it, and I didn't know what he was talking about.
Don't you love it when you call someone or you
to see someone, they look at you and go, I've
got to apologize. I'm so sorry. You know, like, uh,
what did you do? Apparently you did a lot. Well,
we love you, David. Thank you so much, Garrett. Thanks
for frying your best. No, yeah, I tried. Thank you,
(01:29:53):
Jeff for jumping in and screaming at David.
Speaker 21 (01:29:55):
I'm coming in for a meeting tomorrow. Hide all the buttons.
Speaker 2 (01:29:58):
Yeah, I'm gonna hiddle the button. There's a lot of
buttons to choose from. All right, Thank you, David. So,
if you're listening to us on whatever day that was,
that's what happened. She was a week ago, it was
last Tuesday. It was a mess. All right. Well, let's
take a break. We do have Sound with Garrett coming
Elvis who did Piece.
Speaker 13 (01:30:18):

Go awaiting Elvis Duran in the Morning Show. There you go.
Uncle Johnny, he lives. Let me tell you. I've said
it before. I'll say it again, Uncle Johnny. Even though
physically he is not with us, he is still here.
His legacy is so deep and so rich. Everywhere we go,
everywhere return we see him and we hear his voice.
It's it's pretty amazing the impact he left on us. Yeah,
(01:31:54):
you know, it's just it's crazy, it really is. I
got some also, some timed to sit with the God.
Should I tell this, I don't know, this is really
personal stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:32:03):
Yeah, do it now?
Speaker 2 (01:32:05):
So as you know, Mayor Javier Gonzalez out in Santa Fe.
When I'm out there, I always go to his grave,
and I talked to him, hang out with him, and
everyone swallow crow will fly by and I you know it,
that's him. You know he's watching. You know, we always
do that. Anyway, this time I sat down with him
and I was going through some a little bit of
unsettling moment or two, and I was I couldn't focus
(01:32:27):
on him in our conversation. I was kind of upset
at some things that were going on in life. And
I swear to you he was standing next to me.
He put his hand on my shoulder, he said, let
it go. As clear, I mean, I know he wasn't
there physically, but my friend who passed away what over
two years ago, you knew him. He was standing next
(01:32:49):
to me. He put his hand on my shoulder and said,
let it go, and I did, and it was it was.
It was a very surreal moment for me. You know,
I don't know if you believe it that kind of
thing or not. It was so awesome. It is awesome.
And you know, I don't I still don't one hundred
percent know what happened there, but I know something happened.
So and I'm and I'm okay with that.
Speaker 11 (01:33:11):
You don't need to explain it. The fact that you
felt it is everything. Yep, it really is.
Speaker 2 (01:33:15):
Well, that's the thing it is. It is everything. And
you know, Danielle, with your dad gone, now you hear him.
He talks, He talks to you, and you know exactly
what he would say in any predicament you may be in, Oh, yeah,
he's there for you.
Speaker 10 (01:33:27):
It's so crazy because the other day, you know, I'm
working on a couple of different charity events. So one
of the ones I'm working on, we were we were
chatting about stuff and the guy that was helping me
do some things kept saying the word wonderful, wonderful, and
that was my dad's favorite word. You guys know, I
wear it on my body. I love it. It was
my dad's work. And I never hear somebody say the
(01:33:47):
word wonderful the way this guy was saying it, and
I was and I had to stop down and tell him,
I'm like, I swear my dad is talking to me
through you the way you're speaking right now. But it's
just it happens. It happens in the when you just
least expect it, you know, there.
Speaker 2 (01:34:00):
Are two words that Johnny used all the time, and
every time I hear them, I think of him. And
one was fabulous because he used the word fabulous, and
the other one was gay. How you doing today, Uncle Johnny? Gay? Okay, Hey,
let's get into sound with Garrett. Gary's got lots going on.
Where do you start?
Speaker 25 (01:34:19):
All right, let's start with the Joey Chestnut Kobayashi hot
dog eating competition yesterday live on Netflix. I know Nate
watched it, so if you want to spoiler alert, just
hold on for like twenty seconds while we find out
who won and how much they ate with.
Speaker 24 (01:34:36):
A total store of eighty three hot dogs ateen no
runner on the first ever Netflix Unfinished Beef hot Dog
competition and now world record holder.
Speaker 2 (01:34:54):
That's Joey chest Up.
Speaker 3 (01:34:58):
Can you imagine?
Speaker 25 (01:35:01):
No reversals, No reversals, No, no, no no, that's why
he won.
Speaker 2 (01:35:05):
No reversals Right there, that's Gandhi's favorite line. Don't say vomit,
use reversal. Well, moving on.
Speaker 25 (01:35:12):
To eating competitions, Zach Orifice, he just won the ranch dressing.
Speaker 2 (01:35:18):
His name is Zach or This O r V I
s orbit. You said you said orifice? I guess you're
gonna eat, you gotta have an orifice. Definitely has been
called that. Don't growing about.
Speaker 25 (01:35:32):
So he decided to eat, uh enter a ranch dress
dressing eating contest, and this is his host winning the competition.
Speaker 2 (01:35:40):
I just drank twenty four ounces of ranch dressing. I've
seen people bought that much on your salad. So it's
the difference. I't fields second, all, it's dressing, Daniel, Daniel,
It's just you know there is there is mayonnaise in
ranch dressing.
Speaker 25 (01:35:56):
Yeah, yeah, there was warm rach. Yeah, twenty four ounces
a lot. So over in Kentucky, can we do hold on?
You can't just move on like that.
Speaker 3 (01:36:09):
Stop talking about it.
Speaker 2 (01:36:10):
Okay, okay, talk about unicorns or flowers or something. Here
we go, all right, So let's move over to Kentucky.
So we know about porch pirates, but Kentucky has a
different type of porch pirate.
Speaker 18 (01:36:22):
Now, Tuesday morning, I went out to my front porch
and notice this what I thought was a cat poop,
and it turned out to be a person. Oh no, idea.
Speaker 2 (01:36:29):
We're good neighbors.
Speaker 18 (01:36:30):
We keep to ourselves, we behave ourselves, and I can't
imagine that somebody would want to do some kind of retribution.
I'm relieved that he's not violent or he's not trying
to fourth entry.
Speaker 2 (01:36:40):
He's just doing his deed. He's been doing it for
a week straight and they haven't caught him yet. I
love how Danielle will vomit at the ranch dressing. But
you can talk about human right, Let's.
Speaker 25 (01:36:53):
Scare us over to music. We'll star with Victoria Monet
and Usher. They just dropped this. It's called so os
aka X on site.
Speaker 2 (01:37:12):
All right.
Speaker 25 (01:37:13):
Switching over to Swedish House Mafia and Alicia Keys. This
is called Finally and they've been performing it live all
over the world and this is what it sounds like.
Speaker 2 (01:37:21):
I loved it. They did a project together. That's so cool.
Oh yeah.
Speaker 25 (01:37:37):
And then finally, to make up for the Mayo story
for Danielle, Ed Sheeran teamed up with his friend Chris
Hemsworth and surprised his audience at his latest show where
he got Chris Hemsworth to play drums. Chris Hemsworth learned
how to play drums. The audience had no idea it
was Chris Hemsworth because Ed's band is normally under the
stage strong at show. So then he announces that Chris
Hemsworth has been on drums pretty much all night.
Speaker 2 (01:38:00):
Being on stage playing with us, with the whole time
playing in sun we make some noise for Chris hemsw
O strange right, Well, thank me then, Chris hemsworths can
do no wrong.
Speaker 25 (01:38:18):
Play drums and what's for a nat Geo special that
we'll get to see in a in a little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:38:21):
You're a good American.
Speaker 14 (01:38:22):
Guyt thank you.
Speaker 16 (01:38:24):
I'm Scottie B and I'm Andy and we have a
podcast called serial Killers. It's a podcast where we talk
about breakfast cereals and we'll try it before you buy it,
plus some fun facts about cereal you might not know.
Speaker 15 (01:38:35):

them all over one thousand cereals, accounting.
Speaker 2 (01:38:41):

regular price.
Speaker 13 (01:39:11):
Listen all this is Elvis Duran in the Morning show.
Speaker 2 (01:39:15):
Yes it is, Hey, it's kind of funny. During the songs,
during commercials and stuff, we're still talking about vacation and
where everyone went, what they did, you know, and we
are all keeping an eye on each other and watching
Danielle with her family hanging out with giraffes that was,
and then watching look at this little zoo over here
(01:39:37):
that would travel together across this incredible country of ours.
Of course, Gandhi, Gandhi, you know you really were the
glue that put all this together. Do you have to
agree it's really because of you? This hall happened, right?
Speaker 12 (01:39:50):
I will take it in some capacities and others. I
don't want any credit for it.
Speaker 2 (01:39:53):
What's over well with Diamond and Coast to boy Josh
and Andrew. It looks like the four of you really
really had quite the time. I just love it, like
I said earlier, getting a FaceTime at four in the
morning and you're tickling each other in the bed, I'm like,
what's going on here? So Diamond, Gandhi keeps talking about
how proud she is of you. You actually went whitewater rafting,
(01:40:14):
even though you did run away with their bear spray.
Two things you shouldn't do, running in front of a
bear and taking away everyone's bear spray.
Speaker 1 (01:40:21):
Going with strangers.
Speaker 2 (01:40:22):
I don't forget going with strangers. Did you have a
good time, Diamond?
Speaker 3 (01:40:25):
How was it I did?
Speaker 2 (01:40:26):
I had come closer than the microphone.
Speaker 1 (01:40:28):
I gotta hear you, Hi, good morning.
Speaker 3 (01:40:30):
Okay, So I had a great time whitewater rafting.
Speaker 6 (01:40:34):
I'm actually very happy that I did it, just to
say that I did it one and done. Never doing
it again though, Okay, what else? I met some great
friends when I left, Andrew and Gandhi on the trail
where they saw the bears out of their shout out
to my guy, Rudy, I'm bestie in my head now.
Speaker 1 (01:40:53):
And I got.
Speaker 6 (01:40:54):
Really way closer to Josh than I thought I ever would.
Speaker 1 (01:40:58):
He's my chesty.
Speaker 2 (01:41:00):
Well, let's go to Josh then, Josh, it looks like
you had a really great time too. I don't know
how much of it you were actually sober, but it
seemed like you had a really good time.
Speaker 26 (01:41:08):
I mean, you know what my favorite part was that
I think it's still happening. We met these people and
they're gonna mail us at tax of Dermat fox.
Speaker 3 (01:41:24):
Okay, and where are you putting that?
Speaker 2 (01:41:29):
Well, we're going to figure that out. But like we're
gonna get one at least. Now, how did this fox
meet its end? We?
Speaker 26 (01:41:37):
Oh, well, this is run with her husband kills animals,
like a lot of animals, and they just have like
too many tax of Dermat items, so they're willing to
depart with one for free.
Speaker 2 (01:41:48):
All right. I don't know if you really want to
be talking about that on the show.
Speaker 26 (01:41:52):
But okay, no, no, no, I'm not drunk. But you know,
if you bruises all over me. So for as much
as like people say, I'm the one beating up on people,
how am I getting these bruises?
Speaker 1 (01:42:02):
Does he beat up on people and they fight back? Exactly?
Speaker 2 (01:42:04):
Well? No, I see, like I see you with Andrew
in a headlock in bed. Yeah, I'm like leaving it
right there. And so, Andrew, did you have a good time?
Did you really really love traveling with these crazies? But
on your own? Did you have a good time.
Speaker 15 (01:42:20):
Yeah, it was the really, really fun vacation. I love
Glacier National Park so much and I can't wait to
go back. And yeah, I just don't think I'm going
to jump into a cold river ever again, Like I
was forced to on the.
Speaker 2 (01:42:34):
Raump in or were you forced the raft puts you in?
Speaker 15 (01:42:37):
Well, the raft person was like, we're gonna pull over
and you could jump in if you want, and Gandhi's like, yeah,
that's what I want to do. Then we get there
and Gandhi's like, who else is coming with me? I'm like,
I never volunteered for this, and so she's like, it's fine,
I'm not going to do it. So that's a cue
to me that says like, oh she needs someone to go.
So I throw my ore down and I jump in.
When I tell you, that was the coldest damn water
my ass has ever been in.
Speaker 2 (01:42:59):
Lord, Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Okay. So we
were talking earlier also about the songs, the music, the
road trip music, and it sounds like, uh, it sounds
like Casey musk Graves and her new album was really
the Winner? Is that true? Absolutely?
Speaker 12 (01:43:16):
Oh yeah, they converted me to be so. Andrew and
Josh have loved her for a very long time, and I,
you know, did never really give it a chance before,
but now I did. Now I'm obsessed with her and
I want her to be my friend.
Speaker 2 (01:43:29):
Right this Cardinal is Cardinal? I guess over all your
favorite Casey Musgraves song of the week. It's all right,
let's take you back to the trail with Casey musk Graves.
It's the weekend.
Speaker 13 (01:43:41):
Hey, this is Miley Cyrus your office, the Black Eyed Peace. Hey,
this is Selina Gomez with Elvis Duran in the Morning show.
Speaker 2 (01:43:53):
We did it, We survived it. Tuesday, Welcome to September.
