Speaker 1 (00:00):
As you know. One of the many things we do
is we have this podcast network, and we have all
these great podcasts. We have the serial Killers, and we
have the Brooklyn Boys, and we have now we have
a newer podcast which is mine and even a better
one with someone who we just met a little while ago.
Is Tommy to Dario. He's back now. I've never said
this before. Is the name of his podcast? Hi Tommy, Hello,
good morning. Okay, so this is the first time you've
(00:22):
met Danielle in person.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
I was on Zoom last day.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Yeah, I'm with the whole crew. This is fun and
Gandhi was out for a month. Hello, how are you feeling?
You're good?
Speaker 3 (00:30):
Feeling good?
Speaker 1 (00:30):
All right? We like that she had a parasite. Ooh,
it might need more information later.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
I could share it with you guys, if.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
You want tell him about your parasite. Just could kind
of fold into what we're going to talk to toemy
about in a second.
Speaker 4 (00:42):
Well, I went to Thailand, had a really good time,
came back, everything decided to just shut down. And part
of it was because I had a parasite. I was
hosting something, you know, like alien.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
How does one get that?
Speaker 3 (00:53):
I don't know she was elephants.
Speaker 5 (00:55):
She was kissing ephants.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
I kissed elephants. I was hiking up waterfalls. I was
eating all kinds of stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
You know, you don't know where you got it.
Speaker 6 (01:03):
That's kind of one of my biggest fears. We're going
to Hawaii this week and there's the road to Hannah.
If you're familiar, yeah, absolutely, And they have these little
pools with waterfalls, and I'm like, well, I don't want
to swim and want to get a parasite.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
You're gonna get a parasite. I don't want. You know,
maybe this is a sign I'm gonna get a parasite.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
I look, I'm fine. It only took a month, but
we're good.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
She does. She has a pickline that connected her to
her heart or something. Yeah, wow, I know. Okay, back
to these parasite filled pools, because you know, parasites are tiny, microscopic.
They could swim in any hole that's available. It can,
So you gotta cork that thing up, you know what
I'm saying. The road to Hannah is beautiful. Even down
the road to Hannah, I love it. See I like
it about halfway and I'm like along, you get freaked out. Yeah,
(01:44):
I don't get freaked on. I just want to go home.
Like Froggy is the same. It's like it's too long.
I want to go back to the bar at to Hyatt.
Speaker 7 (01:49):
We just drove it a not this past summer summer
before and we stopped along the way and win in
these little caves, these tubes that you see along the way.
But you're right about halfway there, you're like, it's better
be worth it. And then you get to the end
and you're like, this is all there is. You enjoy
your trip to Hawaii.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Thanks guys, you really psyched it up.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Yeah, you're gonna have so much fun.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Other than other than the parasite pool, You're gonna have
a great time. No, no, So Tommy is gonna join us.
We're gonna go around the room. Tommy is our guest.
I have something I want to talk to you about
is kind of interesting, and we think that you may
be able to share. Shed some light, shine some light. Yeah,
shed shine, shine shed Let's go to the shine shed.
We'll get to that in a minute. Also, my good friend,
(02:31):
I don't know you. You don't know Patty Steele. Patty Steele
has done radio here in New York for a thousand years.
I used to work with her at the Old Z
one hundred thousands of years ago. She's now joining us
with her podcast as well. She's a huge, huge history
buff and she's so fabulous. This collection of podcasts we're
putting together is quite extraordinary now. Tommy is an amazing interviewer,
(02:54):
and you'll hear it when you hear his podcast and
you're adding another interview today, I believe.
Speaker 6 (02:59):
Yes, he's annoying from Pensatonics. Scott is out today. He's great,
he's wonderful. His first ever solo EP obviously is part
of the group, but he's doing a solo project. Group
is still together, they're not breaking up, but yeah, it's
a really personal project. It's a love letter to his husband.
He got married about three weeks ago. Beautiful music. He's
such a brilliant songwriter, so we dive into that.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
So I always want to ask people what got you
interested in asking people questions?
Speaker 6 (03:27):
Like?
Speaker 1 (03:28):
What is it? I mean you've turned it into a
profession now, yeah, I mean when you were a kid
where you always like the annoying kid, always asking questions.
Speaker 6 (03:34):
Oh yeah, yeah, never shut up. I love learning about people.
I think life is so short. I don't want to
just know what I know. I want to know what
everybody here knows. And I think that's what's fascinating about
this world. We all have different experiences, we come from
different walks of life. Well, why wouldn't you want to
learn as much as you can in this life?
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Have you ever interviewed someone and they told you something
where you were like, maybe we shouldn't let that anyone
know that, Maybe we shouldn't say that.
Speaker 6 (03:57):
Yeah, what I've protected some information. Listen, get me a
little drunk, and maybe I will, but starting listen. When
artists are talking freely, they don't always get the opportunity
to do that right and like red carpets for example,
which I often do, so when you have half an
hour with them, sometimes they say things and afterwards they say.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Ooh, you know what, that came out wrong or I
didn't mean that, or can we not air that? And
I always respect them. Why wouldn't I? Right?
Speaker 6 (04:24):
So, but yeah, it's really fascinating. I think one of
my abilities is I can disarm someone because I'm not
an ass right, so, like I can make someone feel comfortable,
and quite often they feel like they can open up
and reveal things to me, and I like that.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
I want them to do that. Well, that's the sign
of a great interview. R. You have them so relaxed
they spew stuff out. They should be the attorneys are calling.
Yeah right, I'm the publicist.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
Yeah, so, I know your podcast is called I've never
said this before. While you're doing this, have you found
yourself saying stuff that you've never said before?
Speaker 1 (04:56):
I have, and it's really uncomfortable. I don't like it.
Speaker 6 (05:00):
I'm not one that I like to be the interviewer.
Well I'm suddenly opening up and saying things about myself
or my past or my life. Yeah, it's it's freaky.
And I'm like, oh man, And I'll say to my
producer should we leave that in?
Speaker 1 (05:11):
What do you think? And he's like, leave it in people,
and I'll tell you why. Gandhi brings up a good point.
I think this, In my opinion, a great interview is
where the interviewer becomes a part of the conversation, where
it's they're like, oh my god, I can totally relate
with what you just said to me because they did
that to me when I was a kid or whatever.
So anyway, so it's called I've never said this before.
It's out now of course, on the iHeartRadio app and
(05:34):
wherever you get your podcast. Oh, let's go around the room.
Let's tell me our Let's tell me be our guest today.
And then I want to bring this up, something that
Gandhi and I were talking about before the show today.
All right, so around the room, I'll start with Gandhi. Gandhi,
what's on your mind today.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
I just want to remind everyone not to take advantage
of the small things, because, like we were talking about,
I've been kind of out of commission for a while.
I was in the hospital and I used to bitch
all the time about going to the gym. So that
is my If you see me at the gym, something's wrong.
All I want to do right now is go back
to the gym. That's it, and I can't do it.
I can't do it for I don't know how long.
But I'm mad that I took advantage of it. So
(06:10):
don't take advantage of the small things that might not
be such small things in your life.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Enjoy them every day because you don't know when they're
gonna go away.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Amen, let us know when you can go back.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
No, you'll know I'm gonna sake a big deal out
of it every day.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
What's up? I know there's been a lot of debate
about the toilet paper roll and is it an under
or an over? I install mine every time under. It
comes from underneath. However, I found the that's wrong, Who's next?
Speaker 6 (06:34):
And here it is the original pattern from eighteen ninety
one clearly shows the proper way of installing the toilet
paper roll.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
It is, in fact over. I've been doing it wrong
all these years.
Speaker 6 (06:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Thank If it's under, you got to like reach under it.
I feel like there could be something down there. You
just think it's prettier under, pretty or over.
Speaker 6 (06:54):
Yes, you're getting walls sharticles, yeahs.
Speaker 4 (06:59):
The toilet and then like things fly up and it's
on the wall, and then you're putting that.
Speaker 5 (07:04):
Scary even has one ply at his house, So I.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Don't even want to pull. There's so much push through. Yeah,
you don't what you can to stay away from the articles.
That's where that parasite came from.
Speaker 7 (07:14):
Here.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Yeah, conversation was my worst night. Froggy, what's up with you?
Speaker 7 (07:21):
This morning? Of course, the inevitable happened. I had to
go to the bathroom on the way to work. I
get here, I run in the front door and the
cleaning people are in the men's bathroom. So I just
said to them, I just said really quickly, hey, yo,
I'm going in across the hall, and they tried to
say something. I went in there. I want to commend
the women that work here at iHeartRadio Jackson Lips. It's
(07:41):
the cleanest bathroom I've ever been in. Not here so clean.
It was super clean. I used the women's bathroom today.
It was the strange feeling when I was in there
and it was nobody else in the building, so it
was fine, but it was super clean.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
I was happy.
Speaker 7 (07:54):
But of course, right when you have to go as
you know your your GP, you know what kicks out.
And I had to go to the bathroom.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
It was I was no waiting, so you blew up
the women's bathrooms.
Speaker 7 (08:06):
One of them did say to me, is it gonna
be a long stay or a short stay? I said, oh,
it's very short stay. Okay, So they were put the
seat down and wipe the rim. Do they still have
Tampa machines and women's trum Yes they did. They had
the little turnstile. I started to turn it just because
I'm like a twelve year old kid and I wanted
to just see what would come.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Maybe tomorrow morning, straight in eight. What's up with you? Okay,
you might consider yourself attractive. I know I'm a little
more attractive than average. Oh shut up, I will say.
Speaker 6 (08:34):
Have you ever felt like you were unattractive because somebody
else comes in the room.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
That's what it feels like with Tommy to Darius, Like
I look at him in the green room and go,
you know what, I know, I'm a piece. He is
like two pieces. You are two pieces.
Speaker 5 (08:48):
I really look at his eyes and look at Nates eye,
Like Nate's eyes are blue, but this guy's eyes.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Yeah, Like you have.
Speaker 6 (08:56):
Control, are trolling to hang out here more often? Tommy
doesn't have ICI at Pools of Ecstasy. So we're gonna
be getting into this topic in a second. I well,
thank you.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
I love it. Oh no, I'm very attractive. Peace. Okay,
you know what, you know? What makes you not that attractions?
When you say crap like that exactly? I don't like
being second place. Hey, Danielle, what's up?
Speaker 2 (09:22):
So we have a friend.
Speaker 5 (09:23):
Mike Alberta, who we have known for many, many many years,
and his granddaughter Ella Alberta had been struggling and had
been going through cancer for many years.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Guess what what?
Speaker 2 (09:33):
Ella rang?
Speaker 5 (09:34):
The bell, the cancer free bell to Ella. It's so awesome.
I was so excited for them. So it just makes
me so happy to bring that news to everyone.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
All Right, Tommy, Tommy dow Dario, our special guest, go
ahead around the room to you.
Speaker 6 (09:52):
You know, I've recently learned that you never know when
the universe is going to give you a life lesson,
and I just had one. In Whole Foods. There was
a cashier. I went to her twel two different occasions,
very rude to me. My instinct was, oh my god,
this woman's so mean.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
What is this?
Speaker 6 (10:05):
Went to our third time, was rude again, and I
finally looked at her and I said, do.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
You have a problem with me?
Speaker 6 (10:10):
What's going on? And she said no, what are you
talking about? And I said, you've been very rude the
last three times I've gone up to you. And she said, oh, well,
if you want to go to someone else, you can
and I said, no, no, I'm going to go to you.
It's okay. How is your day started? Talking to me,
and I said, where are you from. She told me
she's from Haiti, And I said, you miss home, don't you.
She goes, I miss it every day of my life.
It's so hard being here. And I said, you know what,
(10:31):
she is someone who's trying to adapt to New York
City and is having a bad day. Sometimes you got
to just reel it in and ask questions, which is
why I do what I do.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Yeah, there you go, nice. Nice. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
I would have been like I am going to somebody else.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
On the counter by that time. Yeah, I kind of
do it, you know what. I love that unless you
open the hood, you don't know what's going on with
the engine. As they say, I don't know who they are.
But trying to fold yourself into New York City is
not easy, especially these days. I've lived here since I
was in my twenties, and I still I'm very uncomfortable
(11:12):
here these days. It's a different time, you know. Anyway,
I still love New York City. I always will love
New York City. At the same time, it's a challenge.
There's nothing comfortable about it, especially if you just moved
here from Haiti and you miss your family, all right,
I'm glad you'd figure that out, all right. So your
first line was the universe what you never know when
the universe will teach you a life lesson? And there
you go, there you go. All right, now I want
(11:33):
to give you something to think about. We got to
take a break, all right. Ganey and I were talking
and there is a story we read claiming that science
is saying that people are getting uglier. Now hear me out. Okay, well,
who's to say who's ugly? Who's not right science?
Speaker 5 (11:49):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (11:51):
In Nate shut up? So I mean, what's the foundation
foundational part of this story? Where does this come from?
And I want to get to why they think we're uglier?
Speaker 4 (12:02):
So it all started because somebody was trying to answer
the question why when you look at old yearbooks do
people look so much older? And they said that the
definition of older was just more defined features, and as
time has gone, people have less defined features than they
did before, which is what makes you look younger. And
here comes a debate about getting uglier. I don't want
to ruin exactly why yet, well.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Exactly, And they're saying there is a list of things
that could be at play, and I think definitely they
are at play because I'm I'm probably one of them
that's there. I want to get to that in a minute,
beauty and where it comes from. Okay, it sounds like
a superficial conversation, but we're trying to make it more
of a scientific thing because when you're when you're hagging
(12:43):
up like me, my iPhone doesn't even recognize my facial
expression anymore. I can't even I've used my code, my
mode doesn't recognize me. What's your question?
Speaker 6 (12:54):
One?
Speaker 1 (12:54):
Now, are people getting uglier? Or is Tommy de Dario
getting hotter? Oh? It's not what this is about. This
is not what this is about. But I want to
get into it because there are things at play, and
there are things that are possibly reversible.
Speaker 5 (13:11):
Thinking Tommy's husband is gonna hate us to know.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
It's not going to fit through the door.
Speaker 4 (13:16):
You come in here and get sexually harassed by all
these guys.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
I'm so sorry, I compliments uncomfortable. You've seen Geo his husband, right, Yeah,
Apple's not falling far from the tree anyway. We have
to stop sexualizing our guests. We're talking about the story
that Gandhi and I were reading earlier about how we're
comparing the way our faces looked at a certain age
(13:40):
back in the day versus now, and now our features
are more extreme because of abusing ourselves and the world,
the pollutants in the air and bad lack of exercise
and bad diet, things like that, right.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
The things that we're eating, the things we're consuming, the
things we're even doing with our faces during the daytime.
They say, you know, staring at a screen all day
is not good for you. You're getting light that you
shouldn't be getting on your face. I mean, staying inside,
not getting sunshine, sometimes getting too much sunshine.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
We're just doing a lot of damage.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
So our friend Tommy d Dario is here, and Tommy
not only is a master interviewer, he's been on red
Carpets and on many of our shows that we watch
on TV and doing segments, but you also are a
fitness consultant advocate of fitness enthusiasts. Enthusiasts. Well, I know,
but you when you were doing segments on many shows
(14:31):
during the day, you were the person they would go
to to talk about fitness. Yeah, this isn't that so
a fitness expert. I was right, Yeah, we can go
with that. All right, be an expert. All right. Anyway,
So in talking about all these things, Tommy and everyone
that we feel are let's say aging us. Our look
a little faster than it used to happen. It could
(14:54):
be reversible. A lot of this stuff I don't know,
like working out and drinking more water and moisture riser
and protecting your face from the sun. And sugar.
Speaker 4 (15:04):
There's being sugar in general. Refine Sugar is really taking
a toll on every part of your body, including your brain.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
What are your thoughts on all of the above.
Speaker 6 (15:13):
I think there are things to do to definitely take
care of yourself that are pretty easy. And yes, like
you said, I'm a huge health and wellness geek. So
I've spent years, you know, working out and studying and
researching this stuff.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
I have a few secrets. Do you want me to share?
Speaker 5 (15:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (15:26):
Okay, so we can look more like straight Nate. There
we go a piece. It's hard. This is a good
one number one, number one vitamin C serum on your face,
on your face, on your face.
Speaker 6 (15:40):
I call it the fountain of youth. Get a good serum,
put it on your face morning, even sometimes night. Slather
that on there. You go, Okay, there we go. That's
a good anti aging number two collagen. Now there's some
research on collagen. It's not very studied, I'll say, but
there's enough research that it's interesting enough that you know,
(16:01):
have you seen the commercials with Jennifer Anison doing her
collagen and she's doing her yoga and working out, So
that's colleging. You throw it in your protein shake, throw
it in some water, and it's supposed to be great
for skin, hair, and nails, all that stuff. That's another
thing what you said, Gandhi, you nailed it. Sugar is
the enemy. Don't come from me, but it is. So
you want to stay away from processed foods and sugar
(16:21):
because that's going to cause a lot of dehydration of
your skin and that's when you get the wrinkles and
the creases and all of that. But listen, I'm gonna
say right now, nothing's wrong with aging. I think we
live in a society that it's very agis and everyone
puts so much pressure on each other and ourselves. And
if a woman posts a photo on social media without makeup,
it's like, oh my god, she looks older.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
Screw that. Who cares?
Speaker 6 (16:44):
She's beautiful, right, or if Sarahjisca Parker has gray hair
and in just like that, it's the number one headline everywhere.
Who cares? If you feel good, that's what matters. I
do things because it makes me feel good. I don't
want to be judged for the things I do, and
I'm not gonna judge you for the things you do.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
I mean, the opposite is dropping dead, So really yeah dead.
Speaker 6 (17:01):
I feel like every day that we're here, and this
is going to be really corny, but it's a blessing.
Like we've all lost people in our lives and it
sucks and we're still here. So do the things that
make you feel good. And whatever that is to you,
it is to you. If you want to get surgery,
get surgery. If you don't, don't. We got to stop
judging each other. Who cares?
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Amen. My dad used to say, it's not about living longer,
it's about dying slower, yeah, which is sort of true,
I guess.
Speaker 6 (17:26):
But the other thing is sleep. I have a feeling
this crew here, I know this crew here doesn't sleep
much looking at us, But that's not what I'm saying.
That is not what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
If you are going to cheat. I'm like, you're eating stuff.
What's your go to?
Speaker 6 (17:41):
Let's see, like a sweet or a savory? Okay, for
a sweet, I love a good cupcake, but it has
to be a homemade cupcake with good soft frosting. Don't
give me hard frosting. I don't want that. So that's
like my cheat savory. I'm Italian, so like, I don't
need a ton of pasta, but if I'm gonna go
for it, I want some good pasta, be like a
homie pesto sauce on top of that.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
Yeah, those are my things. But back to the sleep thing. Sleep.
Speaker 6 (18:06):
Sleep very important. Seven hours should be your goal minimum. Guys, guys, guys,
you gotta figure it out. Sleep restores everything. It heals you,
It reverses aging, It fights off ailmans and disease. You've
got to get your sleep. If you need to take
some magnesium as a supplement before bed to make you tired,
take it.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
You know me, I just smoke a hit.
Speaker 6 (18:28):
Yeah, yeah, whatever works, Whatever works. Yeah, Because the thing
about sleep is you can't catch up on it. So
even if you don't sleep for a week and then
you get one night of eight hours, it's not like Oh,
that wiped away me not sleeping. No, you still did
the damage already. So you have to sleep.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
We have we have what's known as sleep deprivation in
the world we live in. If you do morning media
like we do, you're not sleeping. Yeah, you're not sleeping
as much.
Speaker 6 (18:51):
And you and it does add up unless you're going
to bed early on purpose. Sam Champion is up every
day at two am, I think because he's on you know,
seven here New York City, and he goes to bed
at six pm religiously, So like, don't you can't see
him for dinner, You can't make plans with him during
the week. Shout out to my brother, Sam, I love you,
but that he is dedicated to getting his sleep.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
Listen, it's very hard to do that when you have
kids at all.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
That is true. That is true. That is true.
Speaker 6 (19:15):
There's a lot of factors, right, but if you can
try to prioritize it, it's good. Maybe not every night,
but at least some nights.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
It's hard. You look very refreshed. I have to say, yes,
you do. Could this be the sugar? Could this be
the sugar?
Speaker 2 (19:29):
I haven't had sugar?
Speaker 1 (19:30):
You know what? I see it in your skin. I
see it in your skin.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Not that everyone here doesn't have beautiful skin, but you
just happen to be. To my right, Daniel, he.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
Hasn't had sugar in almost how many days?
Speaker 1 (19:41):
Today is?
Speaker 7 (19:42):
Hold on, I'll tell you it's day seventy something.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
I keep it.
Speaker 5 (19:46):
I mean, I'm having sugar, but I'm not having candy,
cake and cookies.
Speaker 7 (19:48):
That's my Yeah, good seventy today's day seventy five. Seventy five.
That's amazing. Wait in another one. And this might be
an unpopular opinion. You've got to cut down on the
alcohol you've got.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
Thank you.
Speaker 6 (20:02):
I'm never invited back ever again. Thanks for coming in.
You don't need that, You don't need to drink every night. Okay, here,
let me just here. There's something I want to say,
and that it's not relatable to everyone, but a lot
pandemic totally reset a lot of us, me, especially pandemic isolation.
Some depression dropped in there, drinking more, eating bad things,
(20:25):
not working out as much or ever because I lost
my trainer there for what a year or now I'm
finally going back to him and he's begging me to
commit to day I gotta make it. And also, you know,
but it did.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
It was a major, major bump in the road, this
pandemic thing for a lot of people. Some people actually
excelled during pandemic. They became healthier, they were more aware
of me and my crew. That's listening and agreeing with this.
We went down the hill as slippery slope, and I'm
still trying to recover from that.
Speaker 6 (20:55):
Yeah stuff, A lot of people went through that, and
it's understandable. Who's gone through a global pandemic before, Right,
there's no way to deal with it. So I get that.
I get that. But now it's about climbing out of
that hole. Elvis climbing.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
I know there's a hole I'm in. I'm in a
hole and I gotta climb out. Yeah, scary. What's up?
What about staying out of the sun or adding some
block every single time you're in it? Good question.
Speaker 6 (21:19):
Yes, some block every day even when you're not in it.
I put it on every morning, And yeah, you really
should stay out of the sun as much as you can.
I have an umbrella on the beach. If I want
to glow, I slap on a fake one. Gotta be
good to make.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
Your party in the day.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
Hold on, Danielle, remember when you walked in the day
and you said, last night I slept on a fake one.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
A different story, a different time.
Speaker 5 (21:40):
But you guys remember like back in the day when
they had like the reflective thing for sun tanning and.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
You'd put son in in your hair, did you do that.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
Sun and not the not the oil and sunning, we.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Would actually be crisp from the sun. This is why,
as a little white Scottish boy, I've got these much.
I got this new thing on my neck which I'm
going to see the dermatologist about. They've removed some pre
canceerst things from me. Oh, you have to go to
the derm.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
One hundred percent.
Speaker 6 (22:08):
I'm gone today, good good, good good. I actually, in
my early twenties, I was doing modeling and back then
the agents were like, go to a tanning booth to
get a tan before your underwear and bathing suit shoots.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
So I did.
Speaker 6 (22:20):
I always covered my face, thank god, but I would
go in the boost and do it. And I was saying,
you know, following their marching orders. Well, i have stuff
on my body on my chest mainly that I've had
to get removed. That word pre cancer. So you know,
you have to be careful. You have to be careful.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Hold on, I have to do a search for Tommy
to Dariel underwear model.
Speaker 6 (22:36):
Oh my god, you know, and I don't usually admit
that or talk about it. So I must be really
comfortable to be throwing that out there. Yeah, my God,
didn't really just say that I did an underwear model. Jesus,
Look at Tommy. Look look at this jog strap. This
is why, Oh my god, a stripper did Oh yeah,
(22:57):
tell him me.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
He's stripper. Name Michael, Michael J. Cox. Stop it, I'm
not kidding. Where were you a stripper? I did it
a couple of places.
Speaker 6 (23:05):
I did it with the Hollywood Centerfolds, a traveling that
we toured in a.
Speaker 1 (23:09):
Band, and then and then we thunder from down Under?
How do we get you a magic mike? The Broadway?
Speaker 6 (23:18):
I must have lost the moves in the stroke because
I got no red like Ellen DeGeneres.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
I don't know. So again, we're speaking of Tommy to Dario,
who's now a part of the Elvis Durant podcast network.
We love. I've never said this before, and it's out
now with a new episode happening every Tuesday, every Tuesday.
And one thing about getting these interviews though, with the
writers strike and with the sag actress strike rather going on,
(23:46):
a lot of people out of solidarity or for whatever reason,
aren't they're not doing interviews now. So what kind of
walls are you running into with it trying to get
interviews booked.
Speaker 6 (23:54):
Well, my show was predominantly actors. I have four in
the can that have already been recorded. Those all are
on hold right now because their teams have reached out
and said please don't air them. My guests can't promote them.
They don't want anything out there right now, them seeming
like they're doing promotions. So out of respect for them,
I said, sure, I'll hold them. I had four interview scheduled.
Those all got canceled because they can't do interviews. So
(24:15):
I went from essentially having eight episodes to zero, which
when you have a weekly show, is very stressful. So
we have to pivot and we're having other types of
guests on musical artists, some reality stars, maybe journalists. We
had Scott Hoying, as I mentioned on this week, who's
a musical artist?
Speaker 1 (24:32):
Next week I have a director. So we're pivoting.
Speaker 6 (24:34):
But it made it very difficult when you feel like
you have two months of content lined up and you
suddenly have zero. And I get the strike. It's important.
People need their fair contracts. So I stand with these
writers and actors, but it does make a lot of
jobs difficult. So we're trying the best we can. And
I'm going to say a word that makes me scream
every time I hear it, because I've heard it fifteen
hundred times in the last two weeks.
Speaker 1 (24:53):
But we're pivoting time to pivot. We're pivoting. You know.
Tommy was so so upset he couldn't get some interviews
on He interviewed himself, multipersonalities going at it.
Speaker 6 (25:06):
My producers had an idea for a week to buy
us some time to do and ask Tommy episode of
people sending questions, and I did that, and as I mentioned,
I don't love talking for forty five minutes about myself,
but we did it.
Speaker 5 (25:15):
It works.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
It worked.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
We were once on.
Speaker 5 (25:17):
The red carpet for like the MTV Video Music Awards
or something, and nobody came down the carpet, so we
interviewed the guy that was cleaning the carpet.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
The carpet carpet.
Speaker 5 (25:27):
I think so, I don't remember, but yeah, we were
so desert. We're like, let's just talk to him.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Yeah, you gotta make it work. You gotta make it work,
all right. So Danielle's gonna do her Danielle Report talking
about all things entertainment, and so if let's let's let's
be a part of it. Yeah, if you want to
comment on anything, she says, a lot of stuff going
on today. What's going on?
Speaker 3 (25:43):
All right?
Speaker 5 (25:43):
So we all know the Barbie movie has taken over.
It's Barbie Mania everywhere. The Barbie Movie is influencing so
many things, including how you get buried. In Mexico, they
are offering pink Barbie themed caskets so that you can
rest like Barbie.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
I don't think I would.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
Before for those of us being cremated. I need a
pink eurn.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
Do you okay? Okay?
Speaker 5 (26:07):
Loki Season two, the trailer set big records for Disney
Plus eighty million views. It is the biggest trailer debut
ever for any series on Disney Plus. And of course
you're gonna get to see the series premiere on October six.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
Do you like Loki?
Speaker 1 (26:21):
I watched She's in one.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
Yeah, Okay, then you're excited.
Speaker 5 (26:24):
Our girl, Laura Murano, we absolutely love her. When she
was here, she was talking about something she was working
on with Netflix, a new interactive rom com called Chooes Love,
where her character will basically, we're in control of Laura's
character and you decide what happens next, like who she
winds up with three potential love interests. It's gonna be
pretty cool. Comes out August thirty first, and it's different.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
It's gonna be different. It's gonna be exciting to do.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
You remember how she described how they shot this. They
just shoot like fifty thousand different scenarios. Yeah, and so
when people vote, they'll have that scenario ready to play.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
Yeah, it's gonna be awesome.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
I can't wait about what ends all the scenarios we
never see.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
I'm sure a bunch of time.
Speaker 5 (27:03):
Yeah, you gotta watch it a bunch of times. She's
going back into a different show every time. It's like cool.
Sophia Vergara has responded to Joe Manzanello's divorce filing, agreeing
she also wants spousal support determined by their prenup. Also,
we're hearing she wants some jewelry some artwork, some other
personal effects. And as I'm doing the story, I feel
so dirty because I feel like we shouldn't know all
this crap, but we do.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
What are you telling you?
Speaker 5 (27:26):
Because it's out there and I'm like, you know, but.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
It's if you don't like it, but you make no sense.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Too.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
Well too, Madonna's feeling better after she was in the
ICU from her bacterial infection. She went to see Beyonce
show at MetLife Stadium Sunday night. So that's awesome, Thank goodness.
She's feeling well. And this is the story that's crazy today.
Lizzo three former dancers filing a lawsuit against her in
a production company for sexual harassment and fostering a hostile
(27:55):
work environment. They are saying that there was imprisonment falls
in prison meant religious and racial harassment. They're saying that
Lizzo took them to a sex club in Amsterdam and
forced them to interact with the performance in sexual ways.
So obviously this is an ongoing investigation, but it's just
it's crazy, absolutely crazy, So we'll see what happens.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
Revert Alazon.
Speaker 5 (28:17):
Tonight, Big Brother the twenty fifth season premiere. You've got
the third and final season of Reservoir Dogs, streaming premiere
