Speaker 1 (00:00):
Happy Holidays.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
Here's one of our favorite moments of twenty twenty four
from Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
There more and more stories coming out about all the
flooding going on here in the Northeast after crazy storms,
and that water is just looking for a place to go.
It can't find a place other than your street. So
be careful wherever you are driving. If you if you
see that lake in front of you, it's a lake.
Keep that in mind. You used to be a street
now do not Now it's Lake Titi Kaka. Do not
(00:31):
drive through there anyway. Be careful. The water will go away. Eventually.
Speaking of water, we're all going to be on the
ferry today heading over to Cherry's Cherry Grove for Uncle
Johnny's memorial memorial. I don't know what to call it.
It is a memorial at the same time, celebration, celebration.
Definitely a celebration. There's gonna be drag queens involved. I mean,
(00:52):
I can't wait. What could go wrong? Some of our
best friends are showing up to perform in honor of
Uncle Johnny today. I know that Alex is waking up.
He's in bed listening to the show right now it's
gonna be a big day for us. I wonder if
it's okay if I tell the story. Now I'm gonna
ask you. I have a story I want to tell it.
Don't know, I got to get his permission first. Okay,
we'll get into that.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Can I say one thing about this?
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Please do please say many things.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
If you would have been part of the group chat
this weekend about how we were figuring out how to
get there, who was going, who was driving, what the
scenario was, you would have thrown yourself from a cliff.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Why? What was a fiasco to say the least. Yeah,
I mean it's not easy to get there. It takes
a lot of work to get there.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
So when we were trying to figure out the carpool,
and then Andrew came to the table with, hey, guys,
let's take a party bus. And the party bus price
was I thought, actually pretty good for what it was.
But then people started dropping like flies one by one.
Then Scary came, you know, with his leve I got
a limo and this limo drove in Toto Brown when
he had a melt up.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Let you know, it's weird. I think a limo. Do
they still clubbing or something.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
They still, by the way, did you did you get
a limo with a stripper poles memorial?
Speaker 3 (02:06):
My buddy Kenny Escalade has got all the vehicles.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Oh my god, is.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
That on his birth certificate Cascalade. Well, I don't know
if it's his real last name, but people, people in
the beings, they call him Kenny Escalate and so listen.
So between him and two other contacts, I had, I
put myself out there and I got a very reasonable
quote for like a sprinter or a limo or a
or a bunch of SUVs to get like twelve of
(02:35):
us there.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Right, you should call Sammy's printer. I hear he has
well to the len Lenny Lemo, He's got one.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
The problem is when you open it up for debate
and you give everybody a vote in the case like this,
it should not be a democracy because it's like.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
What, well, it's like either you pay this price or not.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
Because now I have like egg on my face because
I went back to all my contacts and I'm like, yeah,
that price is too expensive.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
Okay, But here's the thing about all of it. Andrew
had a price. Everybody was like Okay, that's fine. Scary
comes to the table with three other options that were
the same price, so we're like, what are you doing.
You just jumped in here and made it all complicated
for the same price.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Well, Scary tends to do that from time to time.
I don't think they hourly. Okay, so how are you
so as it ends up? How are you guys getting
to do the ferry and whatever? How are you getting there?
Scotty bee baby? Yeah, well Scotty's driving. Scotty's driving us
a couple, a couple of us. Yeah. Nice, Okay, we'll
find way home from there, all right. Of course, because
(03:39):
of travel problems, Daniel couldn't get back from Florida. We'll represent.
We'll represent for you, Daniel. We'll miss you too. I'm
really upset that I can't be there. So when does
Josh coming in coach to boy, Josh, we have a
conversation we have to have with him. I don't know
he He actually worked hard on getting some files to send,
(04:01):
including Uncle Johnny singing It's a Wonderful World and some
other production he did which would be played at tomorrow
Memorial Today. I can't speak, sorry, so it's gonna be
an interesting day. I've never been to a memorial to
say goodbye to a friend and have Dray Queens performing.
It's gonna be a lot of fun. It's gonna be good.
It's gonna be a good day, a day that Uncle
(04:22):
Johnny would love. I'm sure. So there you go, Yes, Nate, Okay,
when I go, this is what I want you to
do for me. Don't do anything immediately, right because I
feel like there's sadness. People are still, you know, shocked
that somebody's gone. But after a couple of months, you
can really celebrate the fact that they made such an
impact in your life, you know what I mean, you
(04:44):
do look at it differently. It's a whole different point
of view after they've been gone for a little while.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
Lato, we did this for my uncle several months after
he passed, and everybody, I mean, there's still sadness and
some tears, but you can really just realize that everybody's
here because of this person. Here months later, not out
of oblig but because you just want to be there right.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Right, absolutely, and we will. It'll it'll be a good
day and I'm just so happy you guys are going,
you know, Gandhi and Nate have never been to Long Island,
or a Long Island, to a fire island. Now you'll
love it. It's it's gonna be I mean, it's awesome.
(05:23):
There is a chance of rain today, but it doesn't matter.
It's gonna be covered. And we're good. We're good, and
we'll be together. Okay, we'll have a couple of cocktails,
enjoy the day. Then then we'll move on with our lives.
Why are you giggling?
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Because when you put a couple of cocktails in the
hands of these people in the middle of the day game.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
And yeah, Nate, we get to monitor you're drinking, no offense.
You do tend to front load. You're drinking, so you're
you're wasted, like in the the first fifteen minutes. Correct
that we have to sit there and look at you.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
Well I can't actually, I tell Scottie, I can't really
drink too much because I'm going to be taking some medication.
As you know, I'm camping in his backyard. But I
will have to go in because of the dog, so
I can't get too drunk. It will interact with the medications.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Oh wait, aren't.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
There maybe supposed to be storms. Today, you're going to
camp in a storm.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
You know what, Our ancestors did it for thousands of years.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
They died, they're dead. Look what happened to them? They
get dysentery in his backyard, I mean on wood. Well,
all right, so it'll be another day for us to
get together. You know, this is our third get together
in three weeks, is it not? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (06:34):
Keep them coming.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
I love it. I love it. I mean we're getting together.
First was a surprise birthday party for me. The second
one was a pool party out here. Now this one
is a memorial. But it sounds like it's gonna be
a great day.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
We seem to be having a lot of fun with
each other. Have you noticed it? Yeah? All right, let's
get into the three things we actually do, Danielle. We
actually tolerate each other. You know what. There are many
days we just do our thing for four hours and
then we just go our separate ways that we don't
see each other until tomorrow morning, you know, or the
next day whatever. Now, everyone's wants everyone wants in. When
it's good to get
