Speaker 1 (00:01):
Get your hands together, and we're going to stop and
party start.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'm reading a party, the Elvis Duran after Party.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Okay, so on the podcast today, by the way, Hello,
what is it called the after party? I still think
it should be no, yeah, the aftermath. But that's fine.
I think there are two things that I wanted to
bring up. So the first one, how cool Mark Hoppus was. Oh,
he was amazing. He did something that no one has done,

(00:38):
I think, at least as far as Danielle and I know,
when it comes to taking pictures. He asked, hey, can
I put my arm around you? And I was like,
of course, I said I would like that. Actually, yeah.
He asked if it was okay if he did it.
Nobody ever asked if it's okay, they just do it?

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
And then I thought what a hypocrite I was because
I never asked, like, I really appreciated that he did,
because you know, some people were be with the hands
scary and he was cool about it. But I never
ask people I just put my arm around them. Should
I be asking?

Speaker 4 (01:07):
Okay, so let's dig into this. Let's start with the
second half. First, where do you put your hand or arm?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (01:14):
So it looks like I'm putting it all the way
around them, But I just put it like on their.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
Upper back, so my arms behind that.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
It depends. Sometimes I hover, Sometimes I just put it
on the right up a butthole. I never do that
weird like rubby thing. A lot of people do that
rub thing when there they had their arm around you,
and I'm like, Scary does Scary grabs some weird places.

Speaker 5 (01:38):
You look at a lot of pictures of Scary with
celebrities and his hand is right on.

Speaker 6 (01:41):
The Yeah, God, here, show where do you?

Speaker 3 (01:47):
You're going to show you on the doll?

Speaker 4 (01:48):
The doll? So hair, let's stand up.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Why are we doing this on a podcast?

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Would I would? Actually, you don't do that on the shoulder, No,
but I do if I was the middle of the back,
if I the.

Speaker 6 (02:00):
Middle of the middle of the back, yes, I will
touch it lightly. But I don't do this. I don't
like grab around the waist. I like the whole permission thing.
I never thought to.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Ask, well, you know what it is? Though?

Speaker 5 (02:13):
They come and go so fast and they're rushed out
of here that when there's a line of people to
take pictures with them, there's really no time to say,
is it okay for my arm around Let's just hurry
up and take hurry up and take.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
Yes, I can see why are we allowed to give theories? Sure,
maybe there was an incident in his past where somebody said.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Because you know, we were like us, we're asked to
take pictures all the time. Didn't that happen with Taylor Swift?

Speaker 1 (02:40):
That wasn't an arm around her waist, that was allegedly
a hand of the right.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
The guy says, nothing happened, she said it did. Who
the hell actually knows what actually happened. But I think,
for a while, I remember when that happened, we had
the discussion like, let's just not touch.

Speaker 6 (02:57):
Yeah, we had Yes, we had an ex plus a
conversation about that right after that incident, and I remember
it's being very cautious, especially with the men in the room,
female celebrity.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Extra careful not to finger someone by accident.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
You could see what happened, because you've looked at the
series of our pictures. You could see there's some with
no arms around people. So it was right around the time.

Speaker 6 (03:18):
But you know what, if they lead, I'm okay with it.
If they if they like, bring bring me in for
a picture, like, all right now, now I could bring
put my arm back around unless finger.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Goes up your yeah, by accident, didn't mean to.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Scary You're holding for some of them to put their finger.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
Listeners, No, if listeners actually want to take pictures with us,
I don't have a problem.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
I let them man handle me. I don't you know
a carpenter.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Bring a carpenter came in there and wanted to put
our finger?

Speaker 1 (03:48):
What do you mean to man handle you? Who man
handles you?

Speaker 3 (03:52):
I would just say no. If a listener, well, sometimes
you know, back in the day.

Speaker 6 (03:55):
When we used to do bar gigs, you all remember this,
some of you, uh we you know. He used to
get very drunk, and it used to be late to night.
He should be one o'clock in the morning on a
Saturday night and we're doing a live broadcast. And if
you're a DJ's in Bellmar and everyone's body to body
or at the Cadillact bar and Hoboken, Scotty knows you.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
You're pushed around, you're shoved.

Speaker 6 (04:13):
I'm trying to talk on the radio live into a
microphone with people around me spitting and screaming. They tried
to throw you off while you're on the air. But
but the point is, I'm okay, I'm I'm a huggy, touchy,
really person by nature.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
I like affection.

Speaker 6 (04:31):
He's Italian like Brokly, so I don't mind it when
it's done to me. I always just have to remind
myself to be careful to to not because not everybody's
like that.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
Not everybody's like me.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
I think that is a very polite thing for him
to do, though, right, because I'm sure he's Mark hoppics
Mark Hoppas hundreds of times a day for a picture,
and so for him to do that, I think he
made it memorable for you. You'll never forget that.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Oh definitely. I really appreciated it. And I was like,
ohsh probably ask people if I put around them, so
just going in and grabbing them. But it's totally different
between men and women, right. There are very few times
when a guy's like, she put her arm around me,
I'm sticked out, you know, But women are like, god,
get this guy off me.

Speaker 6 (05:13):
What's it like being a woman in radio as opposed
to being a guy in radio?

Speaker 1 (05:17):
To you, Danielle and I just sit here and wait.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
Yeah, it was really acting.

Speaker 6 (05:32):
We're doing what we're doing listener facing events, especially like okay, you.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Got to go back, we need to go back a
female I.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
Think of a woman uh DJ personality doing a broadcast
a club event versus.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
A guy you can pick up. Can you explain where
this is coming from?

Speaker 1 (05:51):
During the show today, we were talking about how did
even know Danielle was going to do her entertainment report
but she didn't know was coming, so she was like, oh,
hold on, she grabbed her papers. Nate was like, god,
you have one job. So then she snapped on Nate
and then Scary jumped in with the bullshit where he said,
between Nate, Elvis and me, that's ninety seven percent of

(06:13):
the work in this room. Sorry, those girls just sit
there and wait, that is what you said.

Speaker 6 (06:20):
Okay, I think okay, let me let me explain myself
behind Elvis.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
By the way, Nate and Nate behind Elcious.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
Back out of his parking space for a second during
the morning, Okay, there's a lot of driving going on
on the on that side of the console Elvis. Elvis
is constantly in flux thinking about this, what's to say next?
Pressing buttons. I'm doing the same thing I'm trying to
anticipate what he wants.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Terribly.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Nate is trying to run around manage the show.

Speaker 6 (06:50):
There's a lot of physical things or mental anguish going
on on the over there, whereas I feel like one
side of the room tends to be more reactive than active.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
So you.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
Make the meal. I know that I do not mean
that in a negative way. That you guys don't do anything.
And it's like the law of inertia, a body of
motion stays in.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Ninety percent of it is you.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
I'm trying to.

Speaker 6 (07:17):
Explain that that's the dynamic of how it's set up by.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
No fault of yours or yours coming from here.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
You know you have no First of all, I think
Gandhi does more work than half of them on this, Daniel,
She's always doing games and this, that and the other thing,
and help them with this. That she is a producer's
brain more than you got a producer's brain.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Yeah, I could. If I did your job, I'd be
so much better at it. It would be crazy. However, I
can't because I'm on this side of the microphone contributing
thirty three point three percent of what goes onto the
air and content every day. So Danielle, I really do that.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
My god, I see the prep work you do. But
I'm just scary.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
He tells you to shut up.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
I'm talking about leave the room in real time. Nobody
is going to do. They all left you.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
They left about in real time, in real time of
the four hours going on at this end. There's a
lot of activity over there. But you are listen, you
come in three hours before the show, come, you know,
and you get everything ready. So like, my hat's off
to you for being able.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
To do what you do.

Speaker 6 (08:33):
But I'm just show itself with This was revolving around
Danielle's point that was.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Left him alone?

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Can you explain what I told her to come in
here and shut your ass down? Did you explain? Could
you explain to.

Speaker 6 (08:52):
Them what I meant when I said that the activity
goes on over there during the show, playing to them
what I meant and that I didn't mean.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
I can't explain to them what you meant because what
you said was just.

Speaker 6 (09:07):
But the thing is like like GANI will do things
before the show for like three hours and more. She's
she puts her heart and soul into it. Then yell preps.
But I'm just talking about as the show is in
real time, real time motion.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
They're working, they're doing things.

Speaker 6 (09:20):
Yeah, I feel like there's a lot of react. It's
like a lot of reactive. It's like active, reactive active.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
You're on your own, align with you.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
I don't know what you're saying.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
I'll just say this, Danielle has more energy and does
more in a day than I could even process doing.
Between here and her kids and every activity and planning
charity events, she does so much stuff. I get it
that you come in and push buttons and then go
home and rot. I'm sure that feels like a lot,
But I'm just saying I don't think that that split

(09:58):
was necessarily hear it.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
And like I said before, Gandhi comes in, there's games this.
She's keeping track of things over there that we do.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
I don't see you keeping track of ship. I got stuff,
I got stuff I gotta do. None of the guys
are back, No, I gotta go. Nobody's gonna defend. We
gotta end this. SA good night, Bye Chicken Ship. The
