I saw this tiktok of a girl admitting to being a jealous friend and people chewed her up but she inspired me to make this episode so s/o to her for being a real one.

Anyways, let’s talk jealousy in friendships, my personal experience and I’d try to give a little advice? emphasis on try ;)

The other day I looked at my 2025 goals and I had to sit up cause ……….LMAOOO!

Anyways, It’s October (winter arc if you will) and I have less than 3 months to turn my year around and I’m finally admitting to myself that I do in fact struggle with discipline but on the bright side…..I’m being better so let’s talk about it!

We’re getting older & are finally aware that friendships do take a significant amount of work especially with how busy our lives have gotten. Listen to me talk about my friendship experience since high school (the ghetto lmao) and how I’ve been able to sustain my closest relationships as an adult!

I’m a high maintenance friend (to my 1-2 friends LMAO) and while I do have low maintenance friends (that I love and care about), I sometimes feel like social media glorifies low maintenance friendships to an unhealthy extent and pushes the narrative that because we’re getting older, we can only maintain low maintenance friendships and I completely DISAGREE. Let’s talk about it!

Growing up with African parents is ………a unique experience, to say the least. In a world where children are encouraged to obey their parents and not question authority, I advice you to be the problem. It’s never too late to be the black sheep of the family, but that’s just my opinion 🤷🏽‍♀️

“Boys will be boys” “all men cheat” “it’s just in their nature” LOL what a silly idea that men pop out of the womb ready to hate women, as if misogyny is part of their DNA. The excuses? they’re just not hitting anymore. Let’s unpack it in this episode (trigger warning: VERY disorganized thoughts)

Breakup szn is upon us (God abeg) and with it comes a sudden rush of productivity that hits as we enter our “single era”.

At the same time, there’s a little bit of disappointment like “why didn’t I pour this much into myself while being occupied with love?”. It had me thinking…..does love distract? Let’s talk about it

I’m finallyy back and this time I’m DONE with school so I’m not going anywhere! School had me in a serious chokehold from January to July, but I made it out alive 😭 Since then, I’ve been running my mouth on TikTok and honestly? It’s been the funniest thing ever. Let’s talk all about it, cause mehnn we need to catch up for real 😭

This is such a common debate on the internet along with the topic of being pro-choice vs pro-life and as the economy becomes worse, having a kid may actually become restricted to only the rich. Listen to me talk about how my opinion on poor people having kids has shifted to accommodate many exceptions that we fail to consider in this episode of the zoraya effect.

I know I have successfully built a podcast off of me over sharing but pleasee hear me out. I think I have come to the point in my life where I just don’t want to share anything personal on social media (even private stories) because it’s just not anyone’s business. Let’s talk about seeking validation from posting on social media even if it’s just o...

“Don’t express your feelings” “only accept compliments if he has spent this amount of money on you” “don’t send texts about how you feel” “play this game to get this” “manipulate him/her this way”. Relationships are becoming so tasking and basically a competition of who can manipulate who more. Let’s talk about whether or not our generation has killed romance in this episode of the zoraya effect.

You know when you see all those TikTok trends of the supermarket shopping sprees or the “take this or double it and give it to the next person”. There’s a place and a time for everything and Nigeria is slowly but surely ( actually very quickly) becoming NOT a place for that. Lets talk about why you need to dead the soft guy in you if you live in Nigeria because every good act can easily turn around and bite you in the ass.

It’s common to believe that old age demands unconditional respect but I disagree and instead believe in respecting people until they give me a reason not to respect them. Let’s talk about the insecurity of older people when they are met in situations with people way younger than them, big brother and the bullying of younger contestants and many other reasons I believe old age does not demand respect in this episode ...

We’re finally back and it’s only right that we have a heart to heart on things we have lied to ourselves about or tried to avoid admitting. Let’s finally admit that we all gossip, that not everyone owes us support, that being fake is necessary in many cases, that there’s nothing cringe about posting on YOUR social media accounts, that it’s okay to not like someone for no reason and MANY other things in this...
