What could be so meaningful to leave everything and follow this strange man? We also talk about how the disciples attempted to make Jesus a political figure and although they were very incorrect, He is patient with them and still chooses them.
Today in John 1:13-34 we Jesus and John model leadership for an upside-down, countercultural kingdom. God enters the story, taking on human form to walk alongside us. Why does He do this? Because of love and for our flourishing and restoration.
