Credo! Catholic Truth in an Age of Relativism

Credo is the Latin phrase that means "I Believe." As a priest, I want to share what I believe with you. I will do this by creating podcast episodes, posting the homilies I give, and "Credo Nuggets" in which I will post short clips of random thoughts I have.

Here is the homily I gave for Easter at the Easter Vigil. This is the first in the series, "You Know What Has Happened." We live in a world that cultivates a 2 dimensional attention span. God needs us to be open to the impossible, which we cannot perceive until we open ourselves to the depths of reality.

Here is the homily I gave on Ash Wednesday. This is the introduction to the series, "I Thirst." St. Mother Teresa had the words I Thirst next to every Cross in every Chapel in her order. She wanted to remind the sisters that their mission was to satiate the Thirst of Jesus for souls and for Love.

Here is the homily I gave for the 6th Sunday in Ordinary Time. This is the last in the series, "On Purpose." As Jesus raises the bar in the Sermon on the Mount, it reminds us that we need to be intentional about our Christianity. In effect, we need to be integrated fully, both in our interior disposition and our exterior disposition.

Here is the homily I gave for the 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time. This is the 4th in the series, "On Purpose." No one is Christian by accident. If we say we are Christian, then we must live our Christianity with purpose.

Here is the homily I gave for the 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time. This is the third in the series, "On Purpose." As Christians, we are meant to empty ourselves in humility before God. In this way, we keep our vision on our destiny and direct our lives toward it on purpose.

Here is the homily I gave for the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. This is the final in the series, "Priorities." As followers of Christ, it is important that we all understand what it means to be a child of God. The best way to know is to examine the original plan ordained by God.

Here is the homily I gave for the Epiphany. This is the 4th in the series, "Priorities." Living under the dictatorship of Relativism, it is hard to know the Truth today. As Catholics, we are at a point in history where we need to stand up for the Truth about Marriage and the Family.

Here is the homily I gave for the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. This is the 3rd in the series, "Priorities." In a world quite confused about what constitutes Men and Women, the Church needs an ever clearer voice today. Today I examine Womanhood as modeled in the Blessed Mother.

Here is the homily I gave for the Feast of the Holy Family. This is the second in the series, "Priorities." As we see in the Holy Family, God has established what it means to be Family. It is our responsibility to understand what He ordained and to live it to the best of our abilities. To better understand Marriage and the Family, I turn to the Theology of the Body from St. John Paul II.

Here is the homily I gave for Christmas. This is the first in the series, "Priorities." Every year, Christmas comes upon us so quickly that we often miss planning for what is most important - Faith and Family. These ought to be our priorities throughout the year. On this second Sunday, St. John the Baptist reminds us to Prepare the Way of the Lord. That means we should all be looking at our lives and rooting out the things that bring darkness.
