Be Something More is not a typical personal development podcast. This isn’t about chasing after your goals, but rather the decision to embody the MORE that you already are. This is an environment for continuous self discovery to unlock our greatest potential. My name is Megan and I have been on a self mastery journey for 4 years. I started focusing on personal development in 2020 when the world shut down, beginning with building consistency with my fitness. After several months, God had graced me with the opportunity to study under the best mentors, growing in leadership communities with high performing, conscious leaders where I continue to learn valuable principles that I apply into my life and transform my mind, my body, community, and continue to deepen my relationship spiritually. Through this journey I have learned that we are more than just a body and do have the capability to create our lives rather than just being victim to it. My belief is this platform will serve as a way to grow this message, share this message, and give us tools to continue to experience this message. Thank you for BEING here. Not just for listening to this podcast, but for being here. Alive. The only way that we can truly experience the love of God is through one another. I am excited to grow with you and watch how this journey unfolds. Welcome to Be Something More!

Silence has a profound impact with our level of inner peace. It is only within the silence that we gain awarenesses that transcend the body.
For we are not our body, and we are not our mind.
Awarenesses as such serve us well in our pursuit of anchoring into peace, especially while experiencing moments of high stress, anxiety, or depression.
I hope this episode offers insights, perpectives, and inspiratio...

"Why is discipline important?" The answer can be easy. Builds character, gets us results, etc... But in my years of applying discipline I could never just settle for the easy answer.
There was a deeper meaning of discipline, for me, that was difficult to put into words until diving deeper spiritually.
In this episode I share that answer, as well as discuss the importance of holding a strong no to the tem...
Our most difficult relationships are typically the relationships closest to us. And I think God did that for a reason. How we treat and perceive the people around us, gives us a direct reflection of how we can unconsciously treat and perceive ourselves.
Difficult relationships may actually be a gift to us. They give us the best opportunity to grow in our personal development. They give us the best opportunity to practice ...
If you've started your fitness journey, or want to, the reasons are most likely to receive some type of results with your body. Maybe you start because you want to lose body fat, build muscle, tone up, strengthen endurance, or any of the other plethora of physical reasons. The interesting, and ironic, observation to make is that you'll come to learn that fitness actually becomes a practice of going beyond the body.
Dark night of the soul experiences have been some of my most painful experiences. Ego death is NOT fun. However, it is necessary for our growth. We always emerge with a higher level of consciousness, at least in my experience and in those who have shared their experiences with me. There are things that can be done to potentially help speed the process along and ease the pain a bit. I share the top three things that have helped me d...
In this episode I share a contemplation about how "the mind is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master." (Robin Sharma) By finding our identity in the things we feel, think, and do we will never have a consistent knowing of who we truly are. Our being will continue to be pulled in every twist and turn life has to bring us. It is like we would be building our house on sand. The foundation sliding every time there is a h...
One of my greatest realizations has been, and continues to be, that happiness is not found in the achievement of our goals. For years, I always had thought that I'd be happy when ----- . The first time I realized that achieving my goals was a happiness illusion was when I hit my goal weight. For years, I had dreamed of being a specific weight. This was before I had any knowledge of how to truly measure progress when it came to...
If you look at the history of this podcast, you can see this isn't the first episode or introduction. We have grown through several name changes as I continue to gain clarity for the purpose of this service. I started this podcast in 2022. Starting with Love What's Necessary, and then transitioning to A Girl's Guide to Growth, then it was Take Pause, and now are officially launching with Be Something More.

Recognition is something we all desire for, and don't get enough of. Most of us are way too focused on ourselves, the way we look, talk, act, etc. that we don't truly see the gift of the person right in front of us. This fosters internal separation and a sense of isolation. However, when we do get recognized for a great quality about ourselves, doesn't it just make us want to continue to repeat that behavior? Sure do...
