Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the Flavor Podcast Network, the Flavor Breakfast podcast with
Stace Azorah and Charlie.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Hell me have the podcast. We talked about the rumors
that your kids have started and mad it got dark and.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
I was triggered by a story where a family was
stuck in the elevator the sky said, you want to
hear what happened to me?

Speaker 2 (00:17):
And also the songs that remind you of high school.
There's some classics all coming up in the podcast modern.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Ey there we how you doing, Charlie morning, I'm alive
and I'm kicking.

Speaker 4 (00:28):
I'm doing good.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Yep. So here we are still in Matariki season. I
know that my finder was up uncharacteristically getting ready for
the TABOOSO. They have Maturiki Karakia this morning, so en juy,
don't you love bring up this early in the morning?

Speaker 4 (00:43):
Nice? Nice, nice.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
On my way to work here, I seen a lot
of the construction workers walking up and I just for
some reason, I was thinking to myself because I used
to be in construction before. I was thinking, bro big
up cities, guys, man in the cold anywhere. And when
I finished work as well, on my way home, I
see them just sitting on the ground eating their morning tea.

(01:05):
You know, for some reason, it just gives me that
type of feel that far out man, these guys are
eating like this so that their kids get the good life.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Yeah, yep. And also you know, the small little joys
going ah, yep, this is what I've got for yep.
So I need to look forward to the good stuff.
Dane and jam Oh, that's a really interesting story actually,
So a star that's doing well now but has had
some definite bumps in the road and decided to talk
about being arrested to the Grammys. It's all coming up

(01:33):
real soon. It's Stacey and Charlie no Zora for this
month because currently she's eating away around Europe.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
I know, girl, love girl.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
So listening on the misty frequencies is what we're about
to talk about. But just before we get into this,
we need to sort this out. So we know that
the kids were listening to your conversation. They were eves dropping,
and we've just discovered, right now, what did you think
the word for that listening to someone's conversation was, Charlie.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
So all this time I've been telling my kids, hey,
go there, stop ears dropping. Ears dropping, you know, because
you're obviously using your ears to.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Yeah, so you thought that the word was ears dropping?

Speaker 4 (02:16):
Is dropping?

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (02:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Eaves dropping?

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Well, come on, producer, and yours is worse.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Well, I thought it was ease like e a e
why with these.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Do right?

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Eaves is like the eaves of a roof, And so
it came from the eaves of the roof, like the
edge of the roof, and so the water that fell
off there, we're it landed. That's that's like we're you know,
we're caught it all lands like you know, you're listening
to a conversation that lands on you because you're eaves
dropping eves what do those called that on a roof? Anyways,

(02:56):
not eaves dropping. It's not ears dropping.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
At the end of the day, you're listening.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
And this is what my kids are doing, studying rumors.
And I'm telling you this, man, this is very dangerous
for those of you if you know you know. Okay,
So I was at a family barbecue or the boys
and you know the bands. How when you're with the
boys around the barbecue, it's a little bit next level,
some a little bit over the top, and some are

(03:21):
just quite deep. While my kids were sitting on the
table not far from us. But we're talking about things
like that happened in the past. We're talking about years
back in the daisiest days. And you know, I got
too caught up in this conversation and I started, you know,
getting amongst it, and I started.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Talking about an X of mine.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Yeah, not realizing that the kids were eves dropping.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Eaves dropping with the beginners and then they're dropping.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
I go on and on, and I started talking about
my ex Sophie and all this stuff. Why I know,
I know, I know, no, but this is just barbecue banter.
You know that everybody understands. Wee get in the car,
usually my kids, you know, they take control of the music,
they're the DJs. The car was completely silent, no one
was talking. I was like, Oh, what's going on. Maybe

(04:09):
the kids are tired, they were full from the barbecue.
I get home, I go into the bathroom after I
finished doing what I had to do. I walk into
the room and my son Rob is sitting on the
bed with saying me and he is he's channeling his
inner John Campbell and reporting everything to saying me of

(04:31):
what I was talking about at this barbecue. Man, Dad,
who's so fia that what happened to here?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Man? Is it? Like?

Speaker 4 (04:39):
I was like, man, you do this like oh the
whoa rob? What the heck?

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Comes really old news? This is all I got to
talk about is really.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
And he's looking at me like, really, Charlie, you want
to talk about this in front of the kids. I'm like, bro,
we're talking about this with the boys, and the kids
are just taking this to another level.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
By eaves dropping and they're starting rumors, studying rumors. But see,
there's the thing you have to check the tea that
comes from kids, because I have had a situation where
one of the mom said to me, oh, did you
hear so and so and so and so broke up?
I was like, no way, how do you know that?
And they said the kids have said these kids are
not not ten, they're like seventeen, and so they said, oh,

(05:21):
they're broken up. And so it got to the point
where I the mom wasn't saying anything I know quite well,
and I had to go to it, are you guys okay?
I just want to check And she's like I think
so said oh, and she's why oh, because the kids
said that you're broken up? Oh okay, I'll check with
my son what is up to? They start rumors, That's

(05:41):
what I'm saying. Also, it is a thing around intermediate
as well. They start to have like a little fantasy like, yeah,
I live at a different house now, my parents are broken up.
None of it's true.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
It's true kids, man, what are you up to? Bro
your parents?

Speaker 2 (05:56):
One of the rumors that kids have started that have
landed on your ear, they've been eves dropping kay takes
through to h Toba. Give us a called a weight
hundred of labor, not eavesdropping.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
Anna.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Now, we were just talking about the rumors that kids
have started. People were texting and going, ah, So my
child told everyone at school that their dad is a firefighter.
They are not. They also said that the fire truck
was coming to school and we had to find a
way around that. This one is quite involved. My nine

(06:30):
year old daughter told everyone at school that I'm quitting
my job to start a family YouTube daily school event
comes around wondering why everyone was asking me how my
job is going. Turns out she even said we are
nearly millionaires. Oh no, it ain't true. Oh she definitely
got to talk about spreading rumors.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
After that, another rumor that kids often make up, you know,
just for kids who almost fight their own you know,
their meat's dad or something like that. Man, you to
come and sort out thinging things dad, you know, because
they've said this about me. Nothing like that ever happens,
but almost gets you know, the dads and let into

(07:08):
a bit of trouble as well.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
You know the rumors. Oh, by the way, here on
the text, people are saying the teacher rumors that the
kids come home from. I'm just hoping their rumors are
not true, and so now we know they are. What Charlie,
they are.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
The eves dropping.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Well done, learn a new thing. It's not ears dropping.
It's not eavesdropping. Okay, children, children, please stop eavesdropping saying
it like you knew it all along.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
All this time, man, my life, I've been living a
lie man eaves dropping.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
We were talking before about the weird rumors that your
kids started. It gets dark. It gets me.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
This gets dark, and there's like movie starles.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
But I guess it's logical for the kids to try
to get out of the lie that they told, the
rumor that they started. Here on the text, my child
told everyone that her real dad is a shop owner,
and when we confronted her, she killed him off in
her head and said he died in a car accident.
That's crazy, girl, I have to take it. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
You took the story to a dark place, okay, So.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
We don't want to go there anymore. The other day
there came out a tiny desk performance from s w
V and they looked incredible, They sounded incredible.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
Don'd you raise?

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Why is something they can sang?

Speaker 2 (08:38):
And so I put it on my Instagram and one
of the messages that came to is like, this reminds
me of my high school. Yes, yes, and there are
songs that you'll always associate with your high school years
and years Charlie. This will help people do maths to go. Okay,
so you're at high school.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
That's right, that's right.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
When I say this song from Sybil Don't.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Make Me, is that you stay.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Yeah, well sort of funnily enough at the high school
social and also at the nightclubs in town that we
weren't supposed to be going. And similar to this from Snap.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
Okay, okay, kin.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Skin, So that's high school for me? What about you?

Speaker 4 (09:25):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Mine would be you know, it's a bit of reggae.
Another cheekup Calumny surprised and I first heard this song
two thousand and three and I had to bring this
to school man. And once we played this song, it
was our song every day before sports, even day before school,
you know, while you're ribbing the oil on your legs.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
It was this song from Patty you.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Were a man I linger, Yeah, this was my hype song.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
This was everything.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
And basically you were sort of starting three houses down there,
and we used to.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Play the song with three houses down as well. And then,
you know, if you wanted something a little bit more slower.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
When you're on the phone, you.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Know what I mean, playing in the background, you will
play this song.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
You Hey, what do you do?

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Are you calling from the family landline?

Speaker 4 (10:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (10:20):
Before your mom picks up the other phone, you know, Charlie,
get to sleep.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Oh that's cute. So what are the songs that remind
you of your high school years? Take them through to
eight to double low or give us a call a
weight hundred for flavor, maybe from the landline in the
whole way.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Let's do it.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
So we're talking about the songs that you associate with
high school. List. Just give it some range here because
our producer Anna she is twenty twenty one or twenty
two year twenty one, twenty one.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Twenty one.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
So high school for you? What's the song you associate
with it? I think of the Annequin challenge that was
really big in twenty sixteen. Black Beadles that girl, there's
a real crowd beat.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
Is that you in a small world? All the friends
know a challenge?

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Old school?

Speaker 3 (11:08):
Well that's old school for like, similar to what my
kid's friends say about my music brother.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Yeah, oh they go old school James twenty seventeen. But
some people a little bit older school, like may like
salt and pepper pusher at school social Can you imagine
how inappropriate was little kids working up a sweat? This
one is nice? Oh Tim and Campbell.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Oh Tim and Campbell never misses man?

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Yeah, are you really also carrying white Superwoman? Quite a
few votes of that one. Ah, talk to me?

Speaker 4 (11:46):
Everybody singing along in the car?

Speaker 3 (11:48):
My high school song?

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Have we got Melanchim? Respectable?

Speaker 3 (11:57):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Okay, still never dance. It's like a TikTok but a
little bit earlier. Tic tic and oh she's got that
vibe I color Yeah, Chamber Kelly wouldn't it mc hammer
moves at the school ball that was dangerous hammer time.
We got sold to soul, back to life. And we

(12:20):
also have Cecilia are you have to sing it? Sing it, Charlie, Cecilea,
you're breaking maha.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
That's not my age.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
I'm just what, you know what my aunties the network
in the garage having a good time.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
That is a regae classic. Surely, Charlie. People who think
that Charlie should actually do a remake of that song, yep,
hit us up eight two double.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
Stays Azora and Charlie.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
We're just talking about a couple of songs that remind
you of your high school years. We did have a
Sultan Pepper references and also this one can touch this
empty hammer the high school social dance along to that one.
But also Christina Aguilera.

Speaker 4 (13:13):
Ah, that's a good tracks.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
This met here when she came here, we interviewed her.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
She she loved it.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
No, oh no, it was she was young. There was
a lot of attention. I get it. And then there
was a challenge put out that you do a version
of this high school hit.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
You'll break you my heart.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
I see.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
So when you get some time, you know, get your time.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
We'll give me some time.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Not like the time where I got stuck in an elevator, because.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
It's actually topical. You see that Paul Farno got stuck
in the elevated at the sky Tower for forty five minutes.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
Almost an that and that is quite scary. It can
get quite scary. So my story is similar to this. Okay,
So what had happened was we were playing at a gig.
This is a gig. I went downstairs to go grab something.
I forgot what it was, but I had to go
back upstairs because we're getting ready. It was a wedding.

Speaker 4 (14:11):
We're getting ready to sing, you know, the writing groom.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Down the aisle, down the aisle. Where was the set
elis e racecourse? Oh I don't like those down there?

Speaker 3 (14:23):
That tiny good, But we're stuck. It was myself and
a mom and her child. But the child was jumping
up and down in the elevator, you see. So then
something happened. It just just stopped, fully stopped. I thought, okay,
we got we got to the level, it's probably time
to go out, but the doors weren't opening, so we
were stuck there for about a good maybe thirty minutes

(14:44):
and honestly that the kid was crying and it was
just it was quite scary. But this is the scariest part, Like,
you know, I didn't have a phone nothing. I was
stuck in the elevator and everybody was looking for me
because I was singing the song for the bride and
groom walking down the aisle so bad. So honestly, I

(15:05):
completely missed the whole thing.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
So they had to go ahead with the wedding and
you weren't.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
Yeah, so apparently the people that were there had to
sing a hymn and this is like, this is a
month of us rehearsing the song for the bride and groom,
and then honestly, they had to get us out of there.
And you should see the look I got when I
walked back into the into the venue.

Speaker 4 (15:28):
People were looking at me like, bro, you're sad.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Yeah, I said, you know. It was half for me
to sort of explain to them what had happened.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
That you were stuck in an elevator. Then what happened
when someone came to you like, how did they fix that?

Speaker 3 (15:42):
Well, it was the firefighters came in they fixed oh
my gosh, and people from the company Otis, the Otis elevator, elevator,
so they were there, were the firefighters, and they got
us out of there, and I walked as soon as
I walked in, Bro, my brother was looking at me like, Bro,
you're going to get it.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
But the fighters were there. Is obvious that there was
nothing you could have done.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
But you know, nobody cared about firefighters a winning thing.
It was about the bride and groom. And we missed
their song that we rehearsed for a whole month. They
said no, and then you know that's walked down to
the people of the people seeing hymn. That was my
experience getting stuck in the elevator, and they can't be
a bit scary.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
So no one went are you okay telling a good one?
You missed it?

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (16:26):
Nah, There was no are you okay? It was like,
are you going to be okay after this gig? Because
you know what's happening that.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
I've had a strong word when you you don't like it.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
But worse for the wedding, I know, worse for the wedding.
And I completely feel, you know, the the tough times
that they spent in that albator. I wonder how high
they were, like, you know, were they up at the
top or midway? I don't know, but you see, with
us there was only a little space. Three people stuck
in the elevator.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Well, the sky Tower family, they were on the thirty floor.

Speaker 4 (17:00):
See that's quite high.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Yeah, in terms of a contest, it's pretty pretty even
with you missing the wedding song and then being in
there for an hour. Yep, we're gonna call it even.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
I wonder if they will ever forgive me for that.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Yeah, taking the stairs, Charlie, taking the stairs, Charlie. My goodness,
we're doing things to people this early in the morning,
already on the cheek. I know, we're talking about the leftovers.
They're actually better the next day, and Stevens is immediately
well damn, I'm hungry now, But I agree. Mashed potatoes, mince,
most begs, all mashed together, fried up with an egg

(17:36):
on top. Speke to me. But this hungy fry up. Yeah,
because I'm just I know that this doesn't sound right.
But sometimes if hangy is like bland, yeah yeah, yeah,
let's I don't I don't want to like to be

(17:57):
rude to anybody, but sometimes you can get a bland hongey.
But the next day everything sort of yeah, it's sort
of all come together and then all the juices are happening,
and then then we're good.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
We're talking about curry as well.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
Curry the next day is also it's also a gem
because you know that when you had the curry fresh
on your plate, it's not too bad. But when it
sits in the pot till the next day, when I
see work in construction, carry was it was gold the
next day?

Speaker 1 (18:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (18:28):
Why don't they sell that like in many places? Really?
I mean, I know you have some, but like I
just mean, you know, like boiled in the pot, n
vibes as ANDSKFC. The next day is divine year. That's
one of the few few takeaways that actually levels up
roast lamb with bread and butter. The next day is
on a whole different level. But how many, how many

(18:51):
texts you can We've got say boiler boiler, boiler, boiler
boiler is a mast for the next.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
Day, sharks, Have you had a good boilerp I yes,
I Again.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
This is where I don't shine in terms of my
MOUNTI tongue. Boil up. You're not gonna find me making
it a lot. But do I enjoy it? Do I go?
Why can you hook us up? Yes, met Casey and Kardina. Yeah,
when they do it, that's nice.

Speaker 4 (19:21):
Yeah, gotta have the butter?

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Is this okay? So it's Tuesday and we'll have a
boil up on Thursday and Friday.

Speaker 4 (19:27):
Yes, let's go.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
But we're talking about you know, abs are made in
the kitchen, aren't they.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
Oh one, you are right, seventy percent in the kitchen,
thirty percent in the gym.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
And some things you make in the kitchen you make
enough that there are leftovers because that actually better tomorrow.
What is the key that is actually better as leftover?

Speaker 3 (19:48):
Okay, so this is mess speaking if you're not cooking, right,
we all know that CAFC the next day is the best.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
Yeah, yep, I will say it as like other takeaways
like fish and chaps. Oh my gosh, they are horrific,
like an hour later they're horrible. They don't no, they don't,
they don't age well KFC. Yeah, I'll give you that pizza.

Speaker 4 (20:13):
Yuck. No, no that works.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
No, no good. But it's more home cooked meals they
we're talking about. So let's say, for example, soup, you know,
like that will be a nice the next day.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
There's something also about mince. I reckon that's better the
next day. We'll get to know and then and then
you put it in your semis and you know, you
just put it in with a little bit of white
bread maybe bram read.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Here mental toast. Yeah, so it's all good.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
So what do you have for leftovers that you go
it's actually going to be better the next day. Like
sometimes you can have it on the first day game
it's all right, but actually what I want to do
is have it for leftovers and have it the next day.
This is like my has more plan his life around
going home to eat these. Seriously, He'll go, I do
have a meeting, but I've got time to go home

(21:03):
and eat those leftovers. Can't wait. So if someone disturbs
that and eats the leftovers.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
Or he's throwing hands up, yeah yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
Good because he's like, yeah, mashed potato next day here, fos,
you're not the peace. The peas are not in their
best states. So yeah, you know, this is the signs
of it, everybody, cost of living. We're gonna eat those leftovers.
What are the leftovers that are best the next day?
Talk to me teakes through to eight two double O
give call, I won't have flavor.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
You know, growing up as a young kid playing sports
on Saturday, my dad was the number one supporter.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
And I mean this in every well.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
So he's a supporter and he was supportive.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
He I wouldn't say supporter, but the number one supporter.
And he was the loudest in the crowd or on
the field. You know, we played rugby league. He was
like our fourteenth player. Oh okay, on the field, You'll
be running on the field, whether you're playing fullback, he'll
be everywhere around the field. And honestly meant some of

(22:05):
the you know, this was before.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Before those signs that say but positive and these are
just kids.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
Exactly stays you know there was His way of supporting
was very I would say, like very just passionately, too
passionate to a point where he used to get kicked
out on some of the fields because the passion was
just on another level.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
I think we can all join that club like my papa,
not my dad, my papa he got bane from from
from a sports field, yep.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
And there was one day we had our final excuse me,
we played Canbury and this was in.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
I played fullback.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
I dropped the ball Canburry the last minute, scored and
that was the game. My dad got into into his
car and he drove home.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
Just like an hour and a half way.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
And I did get in the car with my friend
Steve Martin and come home with that's Steve Martin. No,
not not that Steve Madel, another Steve Martin. But fast
forward to today, right, my dad has changed in every way,
shape or form the way he supports.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
Okay, so he's.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
Gone from just the real passionate giving you growlings on
the field to this.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
Bring belief you're not bringing hart, have your heart, you know,
watching your game. I don't need you everyone to like this.
Usually mean when I do, I much WI.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
So this is my dad from watching us as kids, Mike,
my dad watching me, to watching his grandkids. The mood
has changed, right, So he's gone from being this real
strict want to be a coach to hey, guys, god Dan,
just give it your play with your heart, play with
your heart, have fun. I'm like looking at him like, whoa, whoa, whoa?

Speaker 4 (24:09):
Who was this man? What have you done to my dad?

Speaker 1 (24:11):
You know?

Speaker 3 (24:11):
So things have changed the grandparents have gone very soft
from how they were with us kids.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
You know.

Speaker 3 (24:17):
So I'm driving away after my kids tournament last week
and thinking to myself, far out, man, if only my
dad was like that when we were still playing, I
could have been an All Black or.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Yeah, yeah, that's sure. That's definitely why I happened there.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
What's happened stays as Zarah and.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
Charlie the latest celebrity gods from around the world, waive
of Breakfast, oh m go.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
The b E t Awards on last night a big
one when I was Tyler based New Artist.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Track.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
They haven't heard the New Zealand vision of that from TikTok. Also,
I got a Lifetime Achievement Award. He did a ten
minute speech, but they had technical issues and it kind
of was muted halfway through.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
Man thanked the hole of America.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
I reckon it makes it sound like it was probably
a little bit boring, but not childish. Gambino. He took
the opportunity and presenting Best Rap Album to talk about
himself at an issue that he has.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
It doesn't really make sense.

Speaker 5 (25:22):
I have more Grammys than Will Smith, which makes no sense.
But I had the same amount of bet Awards as
Sam Smith.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
Does that make he and Sam Smith on.

Speaker 5 (25:38):
Neck and neck at the Black Entertainment Television.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
It does not make sense. And Jamie Fox has finally
spoken on a video just talking to a couple of
people about what happened to him. You know, we had
that big medical event. Were worried about him in the
hospital for a long time, and he said, look, April
eleventh last year, I had a bad headache, asked my Boyfriendville,
which is like a panadole, and he clicked his fingers

(26:02):
and said, I was gone for twenty days. I don't
remember anything.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
That's freaky.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
He said, I'm in Atlanta because he's filming a movie.
They told me and my sister and my daughter took
me to the first doctor and the doctor said, there's
something going on with his head. I won't say it
on camera, but it was, you know, he said, basically
something in terms of his brain.

Speaker 3 (26:21):
Because there's a lot of what he call it, a
lot of people saying that, you know, Pete Diddy has
something to do with that.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Oh you know, it's always okay, Well that's just the
gossip to and that is your om goss.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
This is owem gos, right, here. Oh okay, you're a
goss This is my gos stace. So in twenty eighteen,
this is when this whole thing kicked off. This is
the NRL dub so, the Women's National Rugby League. Okay,
so the Warriors they were part of the foundation clubs
alongside Saint George Dragen's and other clubs. But then when
the pandemic happened, we had to withdraw. Okay, but good

(26:59):
news for the woman here in al that is kicking
back off next season okay, and we have a new coach.
Griffiths is to coach NR our dub side for the
Warriors and his two time premiership winning coach Ronald is it?

Speaker 4 (27:16):
This is Ronald Griffiths.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
He used to coach the Newcastle Knights team and they
went back to back premierships twenty three before taking up
his current role as the New South Wales Cup coach
this season for New South Wales.

Speaker 4 (27:32):
For Newcastle. My bad.

Speaker 3 (27:33):
Now we're going to get him next season and it's
going to be an amazing season for the woman here
for the for the Warriors.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
Yeah, that's awesome. So based at go Media Stadium as well.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
The amazing times and you know when I watched the
the woman play rugby league. I'm telling you the skill
level is next level. That's a young woman's game, to
be honest. And some of these, you know, the pioneers
of the sport are still they're doing their thing.

Speaker 4 (28:01):
So exciting times. I'm looking forward to this man.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
And so in terms of his track record, wrong Griffith
has he basically turned around the Knights, So let's go Warriors.
And I have been into wayponam Charlie, that's where I
grew up, the South Island. Talk to me, well, it

(28:24):
seems that I've developed a bit of an issue. My
nostalgia has turned into an issue anytime I'm in the
way pone number. So I flew into Queenstown because we
were working in Wonica to do the National METHODIQI broadcast.
And I get into Queenstown. What is the first thing
on my mind? Is it my suitcase?

Speaker 4 (28:44):
No?

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Is it my job I'm about to do? No, Charlie.
When I get to the South Island these days, the
first thing I think about is how I'm going to
eat a cheese roll?

Speaker 4 (28:56):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Like what, Yes, I've got an issue? Man, So I thought,
oh no, it's okay. People are waiting for me. I
won't get them at this delicious cafe at the Queens
Stanley Airport. That's six dollars fifty. But they are fat, big, perfect,
got a nice amount of onion. A friend of mine
had them for the first time. They go I had cheese,

(29:20):
Well do you know them? Do you know what's in them?
It's not just cheese, and I was like, I know
that it's perfect. And so I didn't have them at
the cafe because I didn't want anyone to be waiting
for me, and I thought, oh, I'll get it afterwards.
They've changed the thing so that you you have to
once you've gone past it, you're out of security and
cut up back.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
I go back.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
There's no going back. It was bad, bad, bad, and
so then I had obviously a craving. So I had
to go to New World, Wanica and buy a six
pack of cheese.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
Wrong, oh dear, So you just went from one to six?

Speaker 2 (29:52):
Well, yeah, the one was larger, though larger and better quality,
so instead I put six. Eventually, over a two days
in the oven in my motel room, I had cheese,
rolls and soup for dinner. I was like, yeah, bona move.

Speaker 3 (30:09):
Same quality one from New Wild, No way.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
But it hit the spot just as long as I've
had what they call South Island sushi. Get it, Yeah,
because it's rolled up cheese roll. Yeah. Sorry, now that
I've said that, you're going to want it. Because I've
got this. I seem to have this power. I mentioned
to our director. I said something about having you know,
this sort of weather, and then you want to have
actually want to have lamb chops. And his wife missus

(30:35):
may Land and goes, oh good one. Now he's gone
to New Worldwide. Get chopped. So cheese rolls. This is winter,
this is matak ya love it. Can I have your attention? Please?
Can I have your attention? Please? This is currently silly
season for seals. Seals are in their silly season. This
means between June and September. The seals silly season is

(30:59):
when youth seals, young little seals start going. I wonder
how far away from the water I can do?

Speaker 4 (31:06):
Yeah, I see what you And.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
So they have seen a seal relaxing in a park
about a kilometer away from Todunga Harbor.

Speaker 4 (31:15):
Jeez, chilling.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
So that little you know, seventeen year old seal on
his restricted license has just cruised off one kilometer away.

Speaker 4 (31:27):
That's pretty far. One kilometer is pretty far.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
So they were on a grass bank by a waterway,
so they must have found their way through that and
then jumped up and go I just have a little
bit of a you.

Speaker 4 (31:38):
Know, well, wonder what this is? Oh? Is that a park?
Is that a swing? Yeah? You know, when you're young,
you just want to see.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
When I was young, there was a street that's that's
up on Now we're close to my house. If you
went past that street, you know, you were far from her.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
You know what I mean. And I often wondered, I
wonder white house is out there?

Speaker 1 (31:59):
You know.

Speaker 4 (31:59):
By then I was to drop and I said, I'll
just go back, Yeah, go back.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
No, this seal, this seal is like I see my boundaries,
I'm crossing them. So just so you know, look out
for seals and random places where you're not expecting them,
because they're just living their lives, pushing their boundaries. They're
not little Charlie Seals. They could be at the Drive
Adventures Seals right there. Sure now you know Charlie is
going to make it a lovely day. This is a
fixed day, isn't it, Charlie.

Speaker 4 (32:23):
It's a fixed day.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
Yesterday it was the first of July, and usually a
lot of people are like, okay, the first of July, Matiki,
we're going to clean it. We're going to do all
of this exercise. And I didn't do any of them, okay.
So instead I went home.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
I slept and hours actually done like you.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
Which is pretty good. I think there's a sign of
me getting old, but we're not.

Speaker 4 (32:45):
Going to go there.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
And then I worked yesterday BFT last night and I
came home.

Speaker 4 (32:49):
You know, I'm starving. I had McDonald's. What I had.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
McDonald's, guys before I went to bed. And now this morning,
I said to myself on my way to work, I
gotta do this. I got to train three times today
to make up. So I want to train it tour thirty.
Then I want to chanin you a three thirty. They don't
want to do a five to thirty class.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
Is that too much, guys, Yes, it's too much, and
it's really annoying. You know, you have a family, The
kids finish school at three, and then you just like
you're out at lunch time. You're out after What are
you doing, guys?

Speaker 4 (33:20):
I forgot about this.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
Yeah, how nice to be about this? Yeah, guys, Yeah,
you're making presumptions yah.

Speaker 5 (33:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
Yeah. He's very challenging. That's why he's always unchallenged to
Li likes to challenge. Let's see how you guys, is
