Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the Flavor Podcast Network, the Flavor Breakfast Podcast with Stace, A, Zorah,
and Charlie. On today's podcast, Stace helps me decipher my
dream and we talked to k Kinney, who's making his
debut this weekend for the.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Kiwis and our hip hop mystery is al j in
the beginning of Deaf Jam. If you don't know, now
you know, and it's right here in the podcast.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Everybody, Good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
My dinner. Hey you s what last night? I saw
a shooting star?
Speaker 1 (00:31):
Cool?
Speaker 2 (00:32):
I've got that's what you're supposed to know. Damn it.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Do you have to make a wish while the star
is shooting?
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Too fast? So it might have been a set light,
not quite sure, but I saw it zap out.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Like a shooting star. Shooting star. Yeah cool. I think
the satellites move slower than that, don't they.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Yeah, I don't know, but but zat I saw it
zep like you can see a little trail. Someone called Elon,
someone called I shall call Google.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
But I think it's so cool. And Charlie, what you
missed yesterday was you know, we got a little bit
where we're going to do it again. I'm going to
share my dreams in Stace is going to tell me
what they mean at about seven forty this morning. But
you know, the moon is in a low energy phase
at the moment, So there we go. Yeah, you've got
to rest and drink lots of no.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Well, one of her mates in her gym talent said,
I can't go to the gym today because the moon's
in a low energy phase. What does it mean that
it means she doesn't want to go gym? That's what
that means.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
I'll just say just say, you lazy. I've heard it
of Look, there's a coming of age that no one
truly talks about, and it needs to be addressed. I
know that.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
And sometimes people are not ready. Parents are not ready
for this.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Man, it's none other then ordering off the adult menu.
Because you have faces at her family dinner recently, right Stace.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Yeah, well you who is thirteen and a good eater.
I was like, this is not going to cut it.
The kids mean you, I mean you might be able
to qualify just I think it was. I think it
was twelve and under. But like it's just not going
to fail you anymore. So it's a big day, big
day when you move up.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
I forgot that there's usually age limits on me. Yes,
that's how old I am, guys, But I sometimes though
to get around it on sorry burger feel but I
call up in place in order for a kid's meal
sometimes if that's what I'm feeling and I don't tack
it up, I don't know. Could be in the car.
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
I don't know, I was a kid. Maybe that is
it because you don't eat, you don't want to eat
too much, or you just want that snack.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Yeah, like a snack if I ate you know. Yeah,
But that's not the point. It's not about me. It's
about that transition because it feels so crazy to finally
be at dinner and someone in your family goes just
get something off the off the menu.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
You're like, oh, you cracked it.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Yeah, we look at the price. No, I'm more like
in the parents zonet going you can just eat off
the kids menu. It's a lot cheaper.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
That's the thing, right, I reckon. That's why people stop
having family dinners, you know, out at restaurants and it
starts to go, oh, I we'll just go to things
house because it starts to get too expensive when the
kids get older. Like when I was younger, we were
always going out to restaurants with my cousins and there,
and then the minute we're all getting adult meals, bro,
meet you at my house.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
So what about this? We go to Dennis with my
dad and the senior menu starts at fifty five. So
I said to me, go who I mean? We were
shouting and I said, you can order off the seniors menu.
It goes get stuff. I said no, but just all
you have to do is it's the same food, but
you're senior, so it'll be cheaper for me. Who's paying
you is, Nah, I'm not a senior. Well I think
(03:46):
you'll find the numbers say that you are.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Now That's what I mean.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
When I want to talk about the whole surprise thing,
I forget that my kids are growing right, and when
we do go to a restaurants, like we had the kids'
menus out there, But then it's not until I hear
my son talk to the waiting Can I get a
steak please?
Speaker 1 (04:05):
I'm like, no, wait, what a steak? Whatever happened to
the nuggets?
Speaker 4 (04:08):
Bro?
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Like whatever happened to the little cheeseburgers? Stops cutting it
for you out? My man's getting a steak Man medium
rare ho. My nan was the one who who changed
the game for me. I'd never even imagined having an
adult meal until one day McDonald's. We used to stay
with her each week when we were little kids. She goes,
why don't you get something off the main menu? And
(04:29):
I was like, oh, my gosh, decisions, decisions.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
You heard Angel singer the whole New World.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
And of course I ordered the Big Mac because that
seemed like the biggest thing in it. And I'm not
gonna lie. I remember it so vividly and pococoha McDonald's.
You know, I got this big mat delivered to me.
I didn't like it. I was like, damn, I should
have got something, and and I tried to eat as
much as possible because then I knew that she would
have let me order off there again if I billiate
(04:55):
any So I tried to eat as much as possible.
And then what did I do? Go run around on
McDonald's playground myself sick.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Tell me you deserve to be on the kids. Me
and you you behavior.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Goods are so crack up, man. And I want to know, though,
when and kids actually start ordering off the menu, because
I feel like your kids are quite young man. Steak
is pretty brown. Yeah, I'm telling.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
You, yeah, they catch you by surprise and you're like, whoa,
what the heck?
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Grown up or grown up? It's time to take it
to a place.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Okay, because the moon's and alone energy to go.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
To rest and drink lots of water. But I need help, okay,
because we've come to learn, Charlie and I that Stace
is really good at dissecting dreams and what do they mean?
We have our very own woo woo witch doructor with
us bro.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
It's not what we call ourselves in the bizarre. But yeah, okay, okay,
so I am I'm an amateur at the stage, but
I do like to read into, yeah, of your dreams.
I just hope I'm not going to say something that's
too revealing about your true thoughts and feelings.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Well, the thing is is Stace actually does this for me.
Off you and I thought, you know, since Stay saw
a shooting star last night, this is pof and the
moon's in a loa a phase. I'm going to just
hit her with some of the dreams I've been having.
I had to write them down because obviously you forget them.
Tell me about the one I had last night, actually, Stace,
where I had conjunctivitis in my dream, but it was
(06:27):
like I just couldn't get my eyes clear. I couldn't
see it. It was like blue ry and I was like, oh,
it's always true streams for me, nothing really changes. What
does that mean?
Speaker 2 (06:37):
So the conjunctivitis as a manifestation of you feeling like
you're finding it difficult to see into the future and
see what you should do and have clarity.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Basically, that's what you're saying, Stace, is that.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
Something blocking her view?
Speaker 1 (06:55):
She knows that war Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
She knows that. She knows that she is not.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Why are we all looking at each other like, because
we know we know that is genuinely what's happening favor funding.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
There's a lot of things that don't get shipped on here,
but I cannot see clearly. You are right? And how
about I had this really weird one where I was volunteering.
And I do volunteer in my own time, but in
my dream, I was volunteering and then my friends came
and grabbed me and they're like, Azreah, we've got the
math test. And I was like, oh my gosh, Oh
my gosh, I had to take the person there. I was,
you know, spinning the day with volunteering with to this
(07:28):
math test and everyone knows I'm not very good at math,
but I really just I couldn't do it. And everyone
was finishing their test before me, and then all my
friends were leaving and everyone in the classroom was leaving
to just go to the next thing, which was a party,
and I couldn't get this this test done to go
with them. I missed out on the ride there, and
I was like, oh my gosh, so stressed out about it.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
You have mentioned volunteering, what you do do your friends,
and math, which you say not got it, But see,
all of those different things are lining up, so you
use the ride. You're getting pulled in lots of different directions,
and you feel like you can't do some of it,
and that you're not maybe not keeping up with what
your friends are doing. So your friends are like, you know,
having babies and kind.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Of oh gosh and married, yeah, one of the one
in the dream is married, got married last year.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Yeah, So you're not keeping up with her, and you
feel like there's something that's stopping you qualifying to be
able to go off.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
And do holiday see, because you're not finishing the mass
test and you're not qualified to do what your friends
and that are doing.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Hey, sorry, I did say I'm gonna have to be
truthful here.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
What about what about the dream where I was you
gotta start paying now?
Speaker 3 (08:36):
But you got to start paying because yet too weird
you're taking this.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
You're more about your little fantasies.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
Okay, Wow, I feel clear. I feel clarity. Maybe you've
had a dream text through and turned down alone at all.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
They say he's the d and Deaf Jam Records, it's
l l cool J. We go back to the beginning
when lur cool J basically launched Deaf Jam Records. So
in the early days of deaf Jam we are talking
nineteen eighty four, ll cool J was sixteen years old.
There were only a handful of groups being managed by
(09:23):
the founder at the time, and owner Rick Rubin and
the Beastie Boys were one of those initial Deaf Jam groups.
So Ad Rock from Beastie Boys it was his job
to listen to demos and he just happened upon this
teenager called ll cool J. But I got one round
eighty five from Kenn who called himself ll cool J.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
And I said, Man, this is really good, Rick, can
you go to check it out?
Speaker 2 (09:47):
So lur COOLJ remembers it like that too, that ed
Rock had to convince Rick Rubin to listen to his
demo and he convinced Rick.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
To listen to it because they would get like box
loads of demo drapes at that time because of the record.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Label, so they really hadn't had their own release rec
Wouben had put deaf Jam the name on another recording,
but they didn't really have deaf Jam records. This is
the genesis though, and the starting of deaf Jam Records.
He explains why he called it that, Reck Rubin says,
and also that his university dorm was where he started it,
(10:21):
so that had to be where they called the deaf
Jam headquarters. Jimmy, that's the first release that he did,
I Need a Beat and so that came out in
nineteen eighty five. And in terms of Deaf Jam and
All COOLJ, he had twelve albums with them Huge until
(10:46):
two thousand and eight. Then he broke up with them
for a bit, but he later re signed and is
making his fourteenth album out in twenty twenty four, including
a collaboration with eminem At murder Gram, Dose.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
On the Public and was going to cost a heading tillioness.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
She's pretty Good. In twenty twenty four. Diff Jam currently
on their roster Kanye Whist, Justin Bieber, DJ Khaled, Frank Ocean,
Big Sean and l O cool J Public Enemy. They're
all back, So l cool J an epic beginning, and
really you'd have to say without l cal J Waters
dift Jam.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
So he was the guy that started everything pretty much
a long he was sign.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
When he started Stay.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Yeah, and has know his first contract fifty thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
Thought a lot of money back then. Yeah, they took
in like nineteen eighty five, they were saying just In so.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
And in the end he made a lot of money
and the minu into acting of course, so it all
wept out pretty good. But let's go to one of
those diff Jam recordings from ninetyen ninety five doing it
all our cool J, because that is your head mystery
if you don't know.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
Now, yeah, no stay a Zorah and Charlie. We are
being joined by one of the key WE players, Keano Kinney,
who is making his debut this weekend and question urch
morning Morning guys, morning broad.
Speaker 2 (12:17):

twenty years are happening this weekend.
Speaker 4 (12:31):
Yeah, thanks guys, thank you having me and now I'm
really excited, really excited for the weekend.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
You deserve it. So you had an amazing year with
the Titans. How would you describe your willwind of a year?
Speaker 4 (12:43):
Yeah, I've been it's been pretty crazy, like at the
start of the year, sort of started after the first
string fullback in sort of for the help of there's
in the Taitans. Been really fun for me and my family,
but brilliant order to be in the full time in
row now is pretty amazing for me and my family.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Year.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
This is Ireie kids dream man. You've debuted on the
serieses of me last year. Now fast forward a year later,
you're in the kiwis Bro far Right.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
We think it's so epic too. You know when you
were welcomed by the Eastern Eagles Rugby League, which Stas
is like, uh, I'm from she went to I don't
know we high school. Uh, and so she's also been
christ Life And some of your niffs were the ones
that you know gave you this one welcome.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
Well they hit the way hit the one that was
How did that feel for you Ken and the Kiwi team?
How did you feel during your poor fity yesterday?
Speaker 4 (13:48):
Yeah, I was mean like from the porfody and then
the fan base from the Eagles.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
It was gave me because.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
I just the Kiwis of the brak Shit. I've been
dreaming about this since I was young, So I've been
to most of the QI games played in autumn when
I was young. Family is a big Kiwis fan. So no,
it's an actual dream for me. And yeah, like I said,
get goosebums when when we face it. But yeah, loving it,
love the loving the connection done here and christ Church
(14:20):
and they really churned out yesterday.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
That's what it's completely sold down. Yeah, I'm gonna meet
you with your parents. I can imagine your dad Mike
is he okay, how is he going?
Speaker 4 (14:33):
He's he's loving it, He's he's missing me at the moment.
He keeps calling me after every day and asking how
I've been and asking how the days being in camp?
Speaker 2 (14:43):
So is it getting to come over to watch you?
Speaker 4 (14:46):
Yes, yes, they're coming to on Friday, so they'll be
here for the Jusey presentation and busy on Sunday with
my partner.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
That's awesome, man. What's the spirit like in camp so far?
Speaker 4 (15:00):
Yeah, I mean I'm connecting up real fast and doing
the cultural stuffs doing at connecting up together. But now
I'm loving. All the boys are real welcoming and I've
got a bit of a mixer for the youth and
a bit of experience young and old. Day.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
I was saying, because I seen Maratas in there, bro
make sure that guy carries all your bag.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
I'm car.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Well five debutantes as well, So that's a good scenario
for you all to support each other, I imagine.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Yeah, I had.
Speaker 4 (15:35):
I've been sort of hanging out with the with the
younger guys and in all the debut and so I'm
awfully happy for each other and I always got there Sunday,
and I'm sure we've got there.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Really excited too, because there is another match against Tonga.
Sorry Charlie, we're going qv team here. He's tongue, but
go media stadium. Come on, we have to match the
energy and christ and when you're the account I just
know that we're all there with you. Kakaka Maya, you
got this.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
Thank you, guys.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
I appreciate you.
Speaker 4 (16:07):
Guys.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Man.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
So there, I had a person or angle on this.
It's hilarious.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
This is a weird one. But does anyone remember the
time that Rhys Maston, who was the winner of The
X Factor twenty eleven Australian year in Australia, came to
Sylvia Park and did a performance on the warehouse end
in Auckland. He's here in Auckland City and it got
(16:34):
shut down because there was too many people overcrowded thirty
minutes who performed for and the crowd. Yeah, it was crazy,
(16:55):
embarrassingly No, you know what, I'm not embarrassed. I was
in the crowd. Look, I was in the crowd. You're
a part of their screaming crowday. Yeah, yeah, it was.
It was a whole thing to go up there. I
mean it wasn't too far from pokakohe so you bet
your eye was there. Some people traveled from all across
the country to see the sixteen year old teen heart
throw a pop Australian expector. Idol winning had a.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Lot of expector clearly made you guys go all that
way and so they shut it down at what point?
Speaker 1 (17:23):
So it started at six he came on, he performed
for thirty minutes and then he was supposed to do
signings with fans until eight thirty pm. No, they had
to shut the whole thing down because of overcrowding. A
few ambulances showed up because girls were fainting, people were
being trampled on like there was cues all the way
out of the more. I didn't even see him because
(17:44):
he was actually in the warehouse performing. But I was
somewhere along that long line of Sylvia Park, if you know,
you know, but you know, going back to that time
that Reesemason won X Factor back in twenty eleven, this
was his final performance I'm.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
Just looking for.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
And the time that he was solidified in X Factor history.
The winner of.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
The Xbox two thousand and eleven.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
Is pretty crazy. But you know what's sold re Semaston
up to these days? Well since then the year twenty eleven,
he's actually had quite a lot of success, including three
studio albums in a self titled debut album went double platinum.
(18:40):
He has appeared at festivals and he's still gigging. The
man has like eighty two thousand followers on Instagram and
he's currently been touring around Australia. But do you know
that this year he did a tour in New Zealand.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Yea, that's growing up.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Yeah, it's called the Kickup of fust New Zealand Tour.
He was in Todoa, Napier, Wellington and christ what's he
playing at like bath like pubs and.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
Sold out too apparently.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
Yeah yeah yeah, Race mess and is still alive and cooking, yeah,
Race Yes. And we remember the time that we went
crazy at Sylvia Park in the year twenty twelve over
Raceemest then the whole all pretty much shut down, dreams,
all the shops so money to me. And I remember
(19:35):
it so clearly because it was me and my friend
Lauren Fox and she got like a guy who liked
her to driver us up there like I'm just restricted license.
We're so cool guys. And I just remember looking at
the guy's face in the crowd and he was like,
where the hell am I?
Speaker 2 (19:49):
How did I get here? It's just going to be
worth it.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
Yeah, yeah, she Kingna like me, hed Sylvia, this is
not so good because September, October, November, December, when we're
in the Burrs, we know that it's close to Christmas.
And this makes me nervous because why I'm not prepared.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
I am not ready for this, mate, And think anyone
fully ever feels prepared for Christmas?
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Like some people are built different.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Well, you are right about that. Actually, I had a
childhood friend growing up, Mikayla and her mum, Donna Wilson.
Oh my gosh, I've never seen a mom like her.
She had all of the presents done by now, you know,
stored away in the wardrobe, age categories, ready for the house.
And I'm like, I don't. I don't know how they
(20:36):
do it, you know what I mean? Like I start
to feel the same way Charlie does, Like I get
really nervous and I get like a sick feeling in
my stomach. So I guess, prepared people, what is your method?
Speaker 2 (20:48):
I really don't think that October the twenty fourth, this
is the time to ask. But it's better than you know.
December the twenty fourth.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
Blink and it's like a week out from Christmas.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
I know, and I have done many a Christmas Eve show.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
I know, I know.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
The reminders come to you when you're like going into
the warehouse or you're at the doing your shopping and
you see for me home Mary Christas, the nerves start creeping.
And when I see the sampler packs, you know, the
Griffins samp packs.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
That's when you know, Bro Christmas.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Then put the books to favorites, like right at the
front of the store rather than And he was just
seeing some decorations. I must have met. I saw them
in the mall and I just sort of had looking the.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
Other way, so like, yeah, So I guess my question
for prepared people is there any tips and tricks because
Christmas can be really stressful, and if you've got any
ways to make that less stressful, please share it. Don't
gate keep your your ways because people are there. They
need to be knowing a two double ow. We are
(21:49):
not those people, see, we can't sit here and share exactly. Well.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
I think one thing that we do as the founder
that's good is that the adults don't buy presents. You
just have Secret Center and when you ten eighteen, like
my son's going to join the adult Secret Center. One
and you get to steal things, you know, still each
other's presence and stuff. So yeah, so it's less pressure
to buy things. We really only buy them for the kids.
And I think you should also just put a limit
on it so it's just not be silly money one
(22:17):
hundred percent. So you're going to say one hundred dollars month.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Yeah, and you know what that is. Being prepared is
already know in the game you're going to play knowing
that you're only buying for one person for the adult
Secret Center. There's no confusion that there is preparation. Tip
number one eight two double if you've got any others
eight hundred for flavor please. We're talking about being prepared
for Christmas. I get it, guys, it's only October. But
the prepared people they've already thought about it. Okay, that's
(22:42):
why they're not as true stat as you know us.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
Yeah, is Chris Cos still a thing? Because some people
were saying, well, yeah, I already have planned the menu. Also,
although like Bargain Box, does you know Christmas stuff they do? Yeah,
which is really really good actually because it's you know,
it's all the you know, I have to run around
getting different things.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
Yes, and Lorraine has said on it to Double O
that you can actually put money on a peck and
Save club card each week and then when Christmas comes around,
you can use that to use that money. Yeah, and
so there's no it doesn't really feel like there's an
extra cost girl math. Yeah, I don't know if this
is preparation.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
But after Christmas, so me and the kids stay, they
put all the coins in that into their little tin cads.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
Oh yea.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
So now they're at a point where I think they've
they've gone past the this is rob and PILLI the
past the toy stage.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
So then like you know, whatever money that.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
They've raised, like from December twenty seventh onwards, they get
to decide whatever they want to buy.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
You know what I'm saying. It makes everything a lot easier.
That is good. Well, they're technically choosing their own presents
worth money that they've saved themselves, which is really an
awesome way to be prepared for Christmas. So so many
people have said about getting the food sus stays with
those boxes and stuff and decorating early. I don't know
what there has to do with.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
The festive nine month says no, we just you just
have to put a limit on presents throughout it gets crazy.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
They go away for Christmas and you don't have to
buy anyone gifts. That's the best way. It's so funny.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
It's never gonna happen for you, the one the hosts.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
It's the method to remove Christmas tress.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
That's the worst responsible all the cleaning prayers.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
Oh yeah, someone has to get Christmas catered. Yeah that's
rich stace A, Zorah and Charlie. The latest celebrity goes
from around the world, wave breakfast, oh m goss. Oh man.
So history has officially been made when lebron James and
(24:57):
Bronnie James, they've played their first official game together. The
and that we've talked about in the past was a
pre season but this is like, yes, exactly, And you know,
I love the way that the commentators just like freaking
out everyone in the background when they're both taking off
their jerseys phones straight out.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
Yea history tonight.
Speaker 4 (25:18):
The first father son duo to play together in an
NBA game.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
What a celebration for the James family.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Mm hmmm for the NBA familybody this is another level club.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
Yes and yeah he made so Brinny made his debut
with only four minutes remaining, you know, which is pretty
that's normal. He's very new, he's very new. But it
was the Lakers. They got a victory over the Minnesota
Timberwolves one hundred and ten to one hundred and three.
So very very happy. I'm assuming they would be another thing.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
That we can say, yeah, we called it. Fetty sent
has revealed what he said to Drake last week. We
were talking about tour value and how Drake's you know,
had this massive income from his tours and so fidty
S said. He said to Drake, I was telling him, look,
you know this beef between you and Kendrick Lamar. They
said you lost. Okay, well what did you lose? What
(26:16):
exactly did you lose? If you've got three hundred and
something million on your last tours, I'm.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Talking about there's a lot of money.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
Man.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
Fifty is quick crying about it, like literally, yeah, head
over it.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Bro, Yeah, because look roll around in your money that
you made on tour and go maybe I did win.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
There is your gossip.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Excitement is building ahead of the sellout league double header.
This is the home of rugby League in christ Although
that he so proud to see you Eastern Eagles representing.
So there were Eastern suburbs back in the day when
I grew up and I went to Ute High School.
And I see yesterday that there was an awesome, awesome
(26:57):
poor Fiddy and welcome for the Kiwi and Kangaroo teams
and both men and women's. One family drove five hours
from Wanaka to Wayne nor Knee and to meet the
Kiwi and Kiwi fans players because they had this open day.
But first of all they had to start with a
beautiful hacker, poor Fitty and Weddle.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
You can hear the nunner and the way that they're
performing at like that is a tough because.
Speaker 3 (27:52):
Is they probe themselves in rugby league. I remember playing
out Annuis High School and nationals and they were really good.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
Man.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
We don't yeah, unfortunately we don't have Ata New High
School as it is now. It's Hayata Campus, so it
was one of those schools that was combined after the earthquake.
But I see they were mudday on pages road as well.
So I can see some of the nefts doing the
widow up there and it's so beautiful because you can
see the Kangaroo team go, okay, this is what it means.
(28:22):
It's all part of the build up and to see
some of the awesome young Kiwi teams. We've got five
debutantes starting in the Kiwi team, one of them being
Kinney and we'll speak to him about twenty p sex
this morning.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
Let's good and already sold out down and crashes.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
Actually at home at Rugby Lee. Yeah, that's pretty famous,
but I'm also pretty famous.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
Gay as for you, isn't it? Stays gidding? The most
amount of likes on a comment? How do you even
know that? Why are your excitement?
Speaker 4 (28:55):
No?
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Have you ever had five hundred people like your comments?
Speaker 1 (28:58):
Oh? No, that's what I'm saying. That's pretty impressive. That
is not funny enough or say something smart enough to
do that many likes?
Speaker 2 (29:09):
Actually all I pointed out, And so it's not obviously
I'm being side because the real star here as the
person who made the real of course. So it's the
ginger Mardy and he's talking about how he's you know,
doesn't look very Marty, right, and so he goes, oh,
(29:30):
you know, Dad, you know, have you guys seen this one?
Speaker 4 (29:33):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (29:33):
And I'll play it for you. But anyway, most importantly,
it's about my comment. And he says, you know how
he is Marty, but people say he doesn't look Marty,
and he's like, what part of you doesn't look Marty?
And he's like the outside and so he goes. But
I can get down with all my signs in a
park as well. I can say skadetal and because he
has captions on it, you see the word skaddal and
(29:56):
I just wrote and I've hah and I've never seen
skadad or written down skideedal.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
It is a funny word, isn't it.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
You're both looking at me like you don't actually know
what that word is because you don't really have a
park house you're in touch with I know.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
What is jumping to see you?
Speaker 2 (30:12):
Skidetled off to a conclusion. So you so, Charlie as
to skanetal.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Is to gep it ah get out of here.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
Yeah, well you're gonna leave you just I'm just gonna skanedal.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
Yeah, gap, It's a really great way to actually But.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
I want to get lots of likes for that comment
as well, because someone asked me, someone like Charlie asked
me on the so what is skidedal to gep it.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
So how do you spell scanetal? Well?
Speaker 2 (30:40):
May allege is k E and then daddle d A
d d l E.
Speaker 1 (30:45):
Wouldn't it be k I?
Speaker 2 (30:47):
That's see, that's the problem with some words. You just
see them as written down words. You don't actually see
them like, you don't go to say them very often.
So you go, is that how that word is written?
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (31:00):
Yeah? See, it's good dad door. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
And some we're like the other day when we had
Mike Lane come in and talk about is almanac? I'm going,
is that how you say almanac? Because I've only ever
seen it written down? Yeah, I mean for me, it's
I'm not very good at spelling. So I mean even
the word restaurant, that word is weird when I look
at it specific. It is weird when I look at
(31:24):
it written down. No, No, But you see the difference
is this type of word you only see it written down.
No one says it out loud, like high falutin.
Speaker 1 (31:31):
No one what's high falute? What the heck is high falutin?
No one knows what high falluten is.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
Someone's going to text through right now they know what
high falutine.
Speaker 1 (31:39):
Is you're the one the zero point one percent.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
Of Maybe Mike might be Stephen hyted. What does it
mean high for llutin?
Speaker 1 (31:48):
Well, I'm going to you don't even know what it means.
Speaker 4 (31:51):
I do.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
I do not want to.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
See anyone else.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
I'm giving people a chance to text. You know, high falutin. Well,
woe begone? What about that? Woe be gone? Oh no,
and woe is me? High Falutin is to be pompous. Well,
I like to be up yourself. High Falutin, come and
let your high falutin.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
Okay, like you about into a deck on me because
you cadell Ladiere famous stays Zara and Charlie. She's famous
because she got five hundred likes, got one hundred, five
hundred likes.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
Just for my comment that you don't often see scadada
written down. I've never seen scadada written down. I do
have someone as well, And thank you for knowing that
high Falutin is up yourself. But I just I think
that I thought high Falutin would be written differently. Like
you know, people say you're half alluten half.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
Well, there's so many weird words. I didn't know until
you said you said that when we were talking about
the conversation or tidbits, how to make a conversation more interesting.
They're low and behold is a low and behold. It's
not low with a W.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
Yeah, I low the old school English low and behold.
But this is as I'll say that that, you know,
this famous famous moment. I just see what I do
as I just say what other people are thinking. And
that's how I get so many likes on my comment
about skidaddle.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
It's happened once. It's like when I went viral that
one time on TikTok, and then I've tried to post
again and I haven't. I haven't got more than.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
Any growing up Ginger and Marty. This is for Wan,
didn't it. I'll say, skided sometimes you got to leave.
Not that big of a deal.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
You just the way he sees it makes it.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
Yeah, that's his Marty side. I think the way he
says the battle because you should say skadetto I'm just
gonna skidaddle.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
Maybe skid and make sure you'll get to work today.
Maybe you need a skid eddal. Yeah, Zinger, yeah, d
your EAGs.
Speaker 3 (34:04):
We'll stop, guys, We're so sorry and we're talking to
Skysport broadcaster Courtney Tydy.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
Good morning, hung acord it all there were what is
happening in the world of sport that we can watch
on sky Sport.
Speaker 5 (34:20):
Oh Mahana sports. So much to watch this weekend. I'm
going to start with the Silver Ferns because they had
a great win last night over the Australian Diamonds for
the Constellation Cup. So we're currently leading the best of
four games. We're currently leading that one to nil now
today or the head over to Australia for the next
(34:40):
two games. So the Ferns will play on Sunday night
at nine pm and it's you know we've put the
long weekends. You can stay up late and support our
and during the day on Sunday we have our Kiwi
Ferns and our Kiwis playing rugby league done in Orthotagi
christ shirt. You can know our tewis all day that
tried it.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
To sell out Courtney. I do want to know obviously
you were a nirballer. I mean, does it make a
bit of a difference playing on home soil compared to
going overseas. Obviously it's to nil, which is great, but
is that something that you factor.
Speaker 5 (35:16):
In absolutely and you tried not to think about it,
but it really does. And the home crowd last night
or all the games have been amazing, and even the
Australians had said that they haven't won here for the
last I'm going to say eight games now actually six
so now decided the serious so they find it so
hard to come over here and play. So the home
soil does make a difference. But I tell you what,
(35:37):
the way the silver Ferns are looking they won the
first game by fourteen points. Last night they won by eleven,
so they're looking good. So hopefully they can continue that
once they head over to Australia.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
Because they they win the Constellation Cup right by winning
this game that they just won.
Speaker 5 (35:54):
No, so it's yeah too, yeah too, Yeah, you have
to it's four, so you have to at least wins
three or if it goes two and two, then they
go to a tire break the fourth game. So I mean,
we're hoping we don't go there far, and we're hoping
we win the next two and it's a clean sleep
and we'll have the consolation cuts back here in Pedal.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
Okay, that's the information. That is a plan but we
can watch it all on Sky Sports sky Sport four
for the Kiwi for the rugby League versus the Kangaroos.
Did you see the poorfity They really turned it on
and Ortah didn't they?
Speaker 5 (36:28):
Ay they did? It was Tina who. It was beautiful.
I had done there on Sunday morning. So I'll be
down covering both the games.
Speaker 4 (36:38):
I know.
Speaker 5 (36:39):
I'm excited to get down there see all the fans.
They love rugby league down there. I also do have
to remind everyone though, the All Blacks do also play
on Saturday night and you can listen to Today Multi
commentary on Sky Sport three from six thirty and I
just got even if you only know a few coup
who a few words, it is the most exciting commentary
you will live.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
Yeah two and you can watch it so you can
follow it. I mean you you know what's happening anyway
in getting fucking nicer Nikol here thadel Mardi and then
it will be upgraded bydel.
Speaker 5 (37:09):
Exactly right, so you know what's happening in anyway. But
I tell you what. They are great to listen to,
and it will also be on sky Sport one from
five thirty in Sky open from ten to thirty pm.
Speaker 1 (37:19):
Oh God, love talking to you. Thank you so much,
and enjoy your weekend of sports. Surprise surprise, not really,
thank you, find I know.
Speaker 5 (37:27):
My favorite weekend, A weekend full of thought.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
And it wasn't me.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
Guys who won thirty million dollars. They went on the
North Shore knock down. They bought their ticket at the
Albany Cyprett the whole thirty Yeah, the whole thirty million.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
Ess actually the fourth time that they've had that much
and powerable. So yeah, oh I forgot yeah man, oh
well that will classically and in most situations, if you
don't buy tickets, you're not going to win.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
I know, and I've I've been seeing that little those
little ads just imagine everywhere and I didn't the imagining.
Speaker 2 (38:05):
Part but not following through part.
Speaker 1 (38:07):
Damn it, damn it. But this always happens, right, the
person that wins thirty milion're like heavy for them, I guess,
because it's like, oh oh man, it's just life changing.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
Yeah, and I saw a shooting startar I should have
done one. No, I had a lot of ticket I
just got probably into related.
Speaker 3 (38:25):
You gotta buy anyone that's what it's saying.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
You saw a shooting start. Congratulations.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
Ah, what would you do if you want thirty million?
I would? I don't know it is work, nah no,
I do not with that million.
Speaker 2 (38:40):

would help all of that heart body everybody.
