Speaker 1 (00:00):
For all your man bastards loving the Big Show podcast
Get up even Closer on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
For for tuggets for to seven every weekday on radio.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Yeah that sting man. Yeah, I do good good. I
can almost hear myself on these cans over here. What
you can hear on occasion? Are they cutting in and out? Yeah?
You see that does my head and when that happens.
Just to give people an idea, here, we're in a
professional radio studio and there's a few chords that connect

(00:36):
together and they come apart and then your headphone sort
of drop out and stuff. Well, this is no bigger
than me man.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Yeah, well yeah, that sort of thing does headphone is
very important to me.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Sorry about that. Yeah, that was just Nogi clearing his
huge honker. But this is the trade off.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
If you want to use the A SEC studio that
is the worst studio in New Zealand broadcasting.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Well you know it too. I should let people know.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Actually, whenever we do use the A C C studio,
Key has an absolutely don't like it as it sounds
free single times like this iff and studio.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
I don't I listened to it. It's been a while
but I listened to a couple of podcasts today. It
sounds the same as everything else, like you might be
able to tell the difference. So I think it's like
people saying the difference between vinyl and and whatever else.
It's like maybe, but yes, make that much.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
We need to find we need to find a way
to your guys. MIC's are sweet. It's this mic I
sound like garbage. Mine's completely like.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yeah, you set yourself up to your key. Come on, mate, can.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
You move your microphone stance? I can actually see you
if you like hell jokes my direction?

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Please? Are you sure that's the mic kesy, Yes, it is.
It's it's garbage. It's hot garbage, but it's fine. Chill
and Fellers. Hey Mike, Hey baby, how did treat yourself? Daygo?
It's good? Really? What did I do today? A bath?
Last night? So I with my missus last night though,

(02:03):
that was nice. We had a yarn, we got the
we sat around the breakfast bar. We've got a breakfast bar, Jason, Yes,
probably not as nice as yours. And the sounds bay
leaf only when we own our own home where we
get baiy leaf. Yes, indeed, so had a yam with her.
That was good. And then this morning, woke up, did
all the usual things, got the ket off to school,

(02:25):
didn't get in the horror of a mood. That's good.
Then I worked until about ten or eleven, cleared about
one hundred emails, got a few yarns, and.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
I just delete, delete, delete, that's the best way to
do it, I find.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Had a few phone yarns. And then from there then
I went and had a nap. Nice. I napped for
an hour. You must have been knaked. I was out.
And then I got up, and then I went and
actually the first thing I did was I went and
had a blood test done. Right. Do you remember, Jase,
when I had my stinky armpits? Yes, which I started
coming back again. So I had one smelly armpet that

(03:02):
smells like onions onions. Yeah. And we had a guy
that texted on the text machine when we're talking about
on the radio, and he said that he had a
smelly armpit, one smelly armpit, and he had what else
have we been having lately? Reflux? Right, and heartburning sort
of stuff? Oh god, and this, and then he said, yeah,

(03:23):
he goes. I went and got tested, and I've got
lymphoma and I start chemo next week. And I was like, oh, yeah, great,
right back, because I've never had stinky pits in my life.
I've never really needed to use the odorant, to be
honest with you. Yeah and so, and it fucking it's stunk,
that's right. I was a shape shifter and yeah, I

(03:44):
keep my arms down because I stunk so badly. I
was disgusting myself. So anyway, then I had to go
and I went and spoke to the doctor about it,
and he said, well, wait until you've done this course
of anti virus, because remember I had my sign and
ciders came back. Yes, So I had to wait for
that to be finished. And then I thought, finally thought
today I've got to go and get it sorted out.
Go get my blood taste done and see what the

(04:04):
gats is because I'm just rude today. I'm so tired
and I'm in good shot, like I'm fit, I'm not drinking.
I should feel great, yes, and I don't. Yeah, yeah,
I don't.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Feel I'm finding that with a lot of people are feeling.
You know, this is not so many people I know
are saying the same thing, which is how exhausted they
feel right time. Like, my wife's like that at the moment, right,
She's like, I just want to she's at work and
she just wants to.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Go to bed and go to sleep. Wow. Wow, go
to bed anyway, nicey, Yeah, go to sleep. Last thing
you want when you're exhausted as old hoody j bearing
down on you. Yeah, exactly. So only I did that,
and so I feel good. Will find out what the

(04:51):
gats is there. It's almost one of those things, keezy
where you think to yourself, I hope I've got cancer, right,
because at least that it will explain it right and
then we can get cracking.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Yeah, because I've got the heartburn thing going on as well.
And as soon as you told me that and wanting
to know when up.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Yeah, well there's no way you can both what the
hell is that? I think? And the next fixing that door.
Yeah all right, there's no way you can both have
the same thing at the same time. I imagine if
we both had it, if we coult her on the
set of talk Back Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
The Whocky Big Show week days from four on Radio Hurarchy,
They Big Show Podcast.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
I don't have a stinky armpit though, right, Well, that's good.
So that's one symptom I don't have, actually, because I
because I said that to my wife the other night
about heartburn and I was like, I don't know, I
don't know why I'm getting that's just weird. And so
she's she's googled heart burn and I was like, you're
not googling that, are you? And she said, yeah, I'm

(05:51):
just seeing what what can cause it and stuff. And
I said, does it have cancer on there? And she
said no.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Such a common thing happened. Yeah, but it's not common
for it to go on and on. No. No, I
mean I don't know much about it, but I know
I don't like it. And it has been going on
and on and it's not diet because I've been ending
it exactly the same thing every day and it was
happening before I had a change of diet. Yeah, so yeah,
I don't know. But anyway, you had my sleep, and
then I went to what I do, went to the

(06:23):
supermarket and did the shop and they just didn't do
any work. Really, it was good and didn't have millions
of phone calls and didn't do millions of things.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
It's important to take care of yourself sometimes yeah, my god,
they shut the fuck up whoever they are. But it is,
you know, to take a bit of time out. Yeah,
I just have a bit of a I just have
it a go easy on mo Ye day or go
easy on Keysy day.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
I mean I I don't usually go easy on myself.
I probably thrash it. Oh yeah, Well, my wife's doing
a great thing. She said that. She said, last night
she goes, she sees, Hey, I just want to ask
you if you want this, because I don't want to
get you another thing that you don't want, because remember
she got me that message, yes what she ended up having.

(07:10):
And so she said, I just thought for Father's Day.
And I was like, ah, I was hoping you'd forget
so I could hold it over you for the rest
of your life. Never mind, Okay, what is it? And
she said, do you want to go and stay at
a hotel? Heaven night at a hotel, a staycation by yourself?
I was like, no, not really, no, no, not by yourself. Yeah,
but she does it like she's done it as well.

(07:31):
And she'll go and she'll do drawing and she'll just
go and have a wy It's just really it's a staycation.
Ye mate. Yes, but and then I was thinking about
today and actually, yes, I will do that, Oh will,
because I can go and there's a hotel in town
and it's got sauna and spa swimming pool, gym. I'm
going to get a message there and just do jack

(07:54):
shit because it's the day to day, Yes to the grinder,
every single day. So do a day of the and
then the next day it will be Father's Day and then
I'll take my little mate out there to a cafe. Yeah, yeah,
I might as well, because I haven't done that. I
haven't heard that for ages.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
It's good my wife and I, but not by ourselves.
But doing doing that quite a back. Go in a
hotel for a night, it's really good. We go for dinner,
we go to a movie, and then we go go
back to the hotel.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
And there's a second reference to and make excuses getting
it all right, go to sleep, Yeah himself.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
Funny because I remember my wife and I've told you
about this before, you guys, but my wife years and
years and years ago, getting the mess oute for my
birthday or something like that. It was it was a nightmare.
It was a nightmare because that was when I was
at the pinnacle of my anxiety, and everything just not

(08:53):
good for me.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
And I just remember the woman touching me and.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
Just going, oh God, and you just and then I
organized and it was nah. But she was like, okay,
I remember here saying I'm just gonna be really gentle
on you, okay, And I was like okay, because I
was obviously so kent and like a coiled spring.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
CAZy. Are you on your phone?

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Yeah, I'm uploading something to my story. Well, I'm just
sitting here listening to you can jump in.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
No. I was wondering if you guys asked me how
my stand up went. Well, I just thought we only
put the garage on here, the good stuff of the radio.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Yeah, man, why are they I wanted to I want
you to discuss something on here that I don't want
to discuss.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
Disgust.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
It's what I was just chating to Jason about is.
Straight away after the gig, I met one of the
comics and he was very funny, and the first thing
he said to me was, hey, man, that joke you
made about this, you should end it like this instead,
and gave me a really explicit, ra teen way to
end a joke that I had purposely made quite clean, right,
involving a pie of some description. Oh sure, And I

(10:04):
was just I didn't know what to say to him,
so I just paniced. It was just like, oh, what
even is that? And he started explaining it was like, nah,
I'm just joking on what it is, and then just
walked off. And that I felt that, I don't know,
I was quite just taking.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Back what you what do you mean you were taking
back that?

Speaker 2 (10:21):
The first thing this guy would say is that I
should improve one of my jokes.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
And it was like the most r eighteen jakes would
you say? That's the any thing to do amongst comics
is that they give suggestions on they It does happen
a lot, right common, But and I had you take
it to leave me.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
He never said he never said anything other than straight away,
make this joke, really are eighteen? And I was just like, oh,
I mean, I've never even shaken hands or even I
thought that was quite weird.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
Maybe I'm not right. It does okay, I think so
it's a weird. It's a way of breaking the ice
and saying good ah. But you were there, you know
better than me. Maybe it was weird. I felt weird.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
I changed it now, so now I want to be
adding cream pies into my standards.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
That's great. Some of the best kind of pies around. Yeah,
so good. I hope that's the pie the land On.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
I had a friend of mine who you know very well.
He used to do that to me all the time,
and every he'd go, hey for that gag and it.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Would always be Pelth.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
It would always you guys are friends, yes, but yes,
and you hang out a.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Lot, and it was just like, no, Brendan, I'm not
I'm not saying that it will kill if you do that.
And I'm like, yeah, that's cold.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
But you did it your style of doing it. Yeah, yeah,
but Brendan Brendan. If he said it to me, I'll
be like, well, that's Brendan Lovegrove. I assume we're naming
him now. And he's very experienced and successful comedian, so
I get it. Yes, whereas this guy, I'd never even
heard of him. This is the first time literally meeting
the guy straight away, it was just like, bro change
his thing to a cream pie? Should Christ by the way, Yeah, An,

(12:09):
I was just I was just really like, I wasn't
expecting it, So I don't know.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Good stuff mate, Maybe that's normal. Yeah, just it's okay. Keysy,
it's good that you talked about it. Go easy on Kezy,
go easy on you. Sure, let's go hard on key Day.
Sure man, if that's what you want, Yeah, I'll save mine. Well,

(12:33):
what's wrong with you today? Mate? What's not wrong? We
don't have enough time. Listen to how you follow see
him every weekday folks. It's bloody good or don't. I
don't care
