Speaker 5 (01:48):
Wednesday Okay, Wednesday was the second most Google TV show from.
Speaker 6 (01:52):
Last year is basically Adam's Family.
Speaker 4 (01:54):

Speaker 1 (01:55):
I think did Arby features Barbie.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
Because it was a movie on a TV shows.
Speaker 5 (02:00):
So what was the most googled TV show from last year?
Speaker 4 (02:03):
What do you think there was?
Speaker 5 (02:04):
I ever think the texts that takes two six ninety nine,
well called US one hundred double O four coast with
the answer for you shortly know this year's list is
probably still a month away, right, but we know that
in the top three. Bridgington will probably be one of
the most googled TV series of this year.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Oh yes, and we've still got so much more to come.
Speaker 6 (02:18):
I know.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Thanks Giving it gives you such good feels, doesn't it?
Speaker 5 (02:22):
So when you go it to last year, though, what
was last year's most googled TV series? On the text
on two six nine on from Belinda thinking Blinda listing
the bakery this morning she reckons Clarkson's farm.
Speaker 6 (02:30):
Oh that's a really good.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Call, that was burg Is she right?
Speaker 4 (02:34):
She's not? No, you love that series though I see him.
It's out there with the greatest.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Is anyone Is anyone like me? Struggle like thinking about
what I watched last year in your mind is just
completely flaffy.
Speaker 6 (02:45):
I'm struggling to keep out with twenty twenty four where
I am right now?
Speaker 1 (02:49):
This yerial last year or five years ago?
Speaker 7 (02:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:52):
I know, right? Yeah? So anyways, it goes on this
the top three from last year. We number three. Ginny
and George is such a great TV show.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
And if you haven't watched it, I would highly recommend
binging there yep.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
Number two was Wednesday yep, because they took the world
by storm. Because we hadn't seen the Wednesday thing before.
Now we have and it's coming back again.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Created the iconic darms float on too Halloween.
Speaker 6 (03:08):
It's exactly right.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
See if you recognize this theme here because this is
from the TV show that was the most googled last year,
Pedro Pascal as a character called Joel the Soul Survivor
after a disease wiped.
Speaker 8 (03:24):
Out the world.
Speaker 9 (03:25):
Ah.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Yes, and then it finished with that the love scene,
the scene everyone was talking about the cabin, the Last
of Us.
Speaker 6 (03:33):
Yeah, remember it was about it was about a fungus.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Yeah, that's right, that's what.
Speaker 6 (03:36):
And then it was about a fungus that became viral.
Speaker 5 (03:40):
Oh yes, everyone was raving about that scene. If you
if you've never seen it, even if you just google
Last of Us. Heartbreaking scene. Everyone was talking about that scene.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
That was the gay couple right at the house. Actually,
I watched this and for some reason, you know how,
without any word of warning, you just stop watching it
and then you lose context.
Speaker 6 (04:00):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
That happened to me. But I loved it up until
it A.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Really good friend of mine it was like, I love
the show. This is a great show. It's kind of scientific.
He had a pretty good backbone, and he said he
got his kid, a nine year old kid, to go
what you got to watch the show? And then it
was that scene is that we're going to call this?
We're going to call this right now.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
I was like, there was Suits.
Speaker 5 (04:19):
I was like, I was so into Suits and for
some reason I stopped watching. Now I'm like eight years behind.
I don't think I can jump back in.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
I just can't get back.
Speaker 6 (04:25):
Sus is back.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
Did you hear that Harvey Speke to put up a
post with a pair of shoes with his Harvey Spector
name and in it he's going to be suggesting that.
Speaker 6 (04:33):
The show's back. The big question is Megan Meghan?
Speaker 5 (04:36):
No, apparently she's not. So this is so Suits was
set in New York. This is the LA variant of it. Okay,
so Harvey has been called in to help a mate.
So that's why I'm going to help.
Speaker 4 (04:44):
I reckon.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Megan hasn't been in the headlines lately, and maybe she
wants to get back in them.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
So there was something around Christmas? You know it.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
We need to talk now about a juicy new series
that you could get around. It's called Tell Me Lies,
and it's on Disney Plus.
Speaker 6 (05:01):
It's your freshman year.
Speaker 8 (05:03):
Very fun.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
Well, maybe you can be in my distraction.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
Steven is really into I don't know if expectable. I
am not someone who gets very excited about things.
Speaker 10 (05:18):
Sometimes it feels like I'm watching other people experience things exactly.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Hey, do you want to come out?
Speaker 6 (05:27):
No, I'm going to see him tonight.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
So you opened something happened.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
So this is a book and it has been made
into a TV series, And essentially what it does is
it follows a relationship between two of the main characters
over the course of eight years. She is a freshman,
he's a junior. It's set in upstate New York, where
we have just been. So I feel like I'm relating
to this.
Speaker 6 (05:52):
Did you recognize anything.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
It kind of felt like, you know how when we
went upstate New York and it felt very spacious and
kind of small towny the.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
American dream, like a single house in a single season
with a porch and an American flag.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
It's all of those things, and this is kind of
that typical She comes from a slightly more wealthy family.
He's had to pee for everything that he's got, and
he's his family, you know, just to step up from
maybe the treiler Park vibes, and he's a bad boy
and he's playing several people at the same time. She
(06:25):
really likes him, but kind of catches wind of this.
Then a friend of hers at college has something else
going on, like a major drama which I hasn't completely
unfolded yet. And it starts with a wedding scene and
these two lockeyes at the wedding and you can tell
that something has seriously has gone down. It's the first
time they've seen each other since. Then it goes back
(06:46):
in time, back eight years, and I'm on the journey
of finding out why it's so awkward at this wedding.
To that point, it's really juicy. It's kind of university
or college vibes America. It's pretty raw. She in parts,
it's all those parties and stuff. I had a slight
issue with this. I reckon the heart throb. Isn't his
(07:08):
heart throb enough for me? It was, and my husband
and I would debating that strokes for different flings.
Speaker 6 (07:13):
Yeah, that's what makes you will go run.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Otherwise we will be attracted to the same person and
that wouldn't work out.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
Yeah, I know, but I think he's supposed to be
like the real heart throb, and I just think he's
punching and I can't really get past that.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
So he must like that in the world as well.
So it happens. So what's it called again.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
It's called to tell me lies, and I'm desperate to
find out what happens. I was actually watching it last
night and then fell asleep on the couch, so it
must be good I'm doing that.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
It hasn't really been a gold week for our Prime
minister last few weeks. You could argue he hasn't been
an easy run for Christopher Luxan and also Prime Minister
of course, said used the other day with the passing
of Nicky Kay as well.
Speaker 8 (07:48):
Yeah, look, it has been. I mean Nicky was incredible.
Speaker 7 (07:51):
Our actual careers didn't overlap at all, but I knew
her a little bit as I came into politics.
Speaker 8 (07:56):
But I mean she was incredible.
Speaker 7 (07:57):
I mean she had so much enthusiasm, so much energy,
super big intellect, you know, whip smart, and also massive tenacity, determination,
resilience in everything she did. And I probably spoke for
about a year ago and she was you know, you know,
she was just throwing herself into the life post politics,
you know, like everything full on, and so you know
she's and she's one of those people that was hugely
(08:17):
respected across all the political You might have had some
differences of opinion, but actually everyone respected that the character
of Nicky, which was really special.
Speaker 8 (08:26):
It's been tough for our team this week.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (08:28):
Now you do have some some good friends obviously, and
you've made some friends across the political divide. In fact,
I have heard a rumor about your Prime minister and
that's one of put this interesting. Is it true that
you and Winston Peters often going for double dates.
Speaker 7 (08:39):
We've actually caught up and had dinner with our partners
I think twice. Yeah, it's been lovely actually, I mean
it's each of the leaders. I mean, first of all,
politics is interesting because you've got I've been there four
years and you've got these lots of people that come
to politics with big personalities, which is great, and so
you've got to make all that work as a team.
And now working with Winston and also David, you know,
(09:00):
they're different personalities and so you build the relationship in
different ways and you actually Winston and I have the
first time I didn't know I'm that well.
Speaker 8 (09:07):
And when we started talking.
Speaker 7 (09:08):
Come here there as a colalistion in the first and
I said was, look, let's not just talk about the
work and the content. Let's just get to know each
other first and foremost. And yeah, I alway find I'm
kind of interesting. He's got great historical context, he's well read,
and we can go right back to the eighteen sixties
and Julius Vogel and come all the way forward.
Speaker 6 (09:22):
So the.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
Building the railways, you mentioned David Seymour, there as someone
else that you have to work for with. In the
last few weeks, there's been a big story brewing here
in New Zealand, and that is the Toy two T
T T T. Do you regret the way that that
has played out?
Speaker 7 (09:42):
Look, I mean the reality is, as I've tried to explain,
is that we're in an MMP environment, and rightly or wrongly,
that is the electoral system that New Zealand people have
chosen time and time again, when they've had an opportunity
to choose another one, they've chosen that one. And so
that system forces parties to come together into coalition and governments.
And that is the reality and the compromise we did
was something that I wasn't happy with. I'm sure David's
(10:03):
not happy with. He wanted a full scale national referendum
on it. I didn't want anything to do with it,
and we came to a compromise which is well, put
it into first freadom there'll be an aeration through a
sleet committee process, and then we're going to vote.
Speaker 8 (10:13):
Against it so it won't become law.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Do you feel like you've condemned it enough though publicly?
Speaker 8 (10:18):
Oh, I don't know how to do it anymore.
Speaker 6 (10:19):
Man.
Speaker 7 (10:19):
We didn't, you know, we said it's divisive before the election.
We don't believe that's the way to deal with it.
And I personally think every democracy has its tension. It
doesn't mean we agree on everything. It means, you know,
it doesn't mean it's all been easy in plain sailing,
because it's hard, but actually everybody stays connected, still talking
and in dialogue irrespective. And the key thing is I
just think it's too simplistic to come out and say
(10:41):
there's a treaty principal spill that just with a stroke
of a pen, you know, writes over one hundred and
eighty four years worth of discourse and debate.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
Stu just modis it's everyone that wants hiring comes and
that comes from the prosperous economy, and that's why you
will put in the job to turn around this economy
and survive till twenty twenty five. Is starting to feel
like survive through twenty two. Is there anything else that
we can do to create that buoyancy that we need
because this doesn't seem to be working at the moment.
Speaker 6 (11:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (11:05):
Look, it's a really tough time and it has been.
You know, if your listeners will understand what the year's been.
But essentially what's happened in New Zealand is we've forgotten
the lessons of economics that we learned thirty five years ago.
So if you do drive up government spending by eighty
four percent, you drive up inflation, you drive up interest rates,
you then put the economy into recession, and then you
end up laying off people jobs, And it's those five things.
You may not like it, but that is the immutable
(11:27):
laws of economics that you just can't change. And so
that's why you've got to have good financial discipline and
then you get inflation down like we've been doing it's
now down the lot. You've gone from seven plus percent
down to two point two percent. Yesterday we had our
third interest rate cut. You know that's actually quite sizable.
Speaker 6 (11:41):
We check it out though he had a chance.
Speaker 4 (11:46):
We can get what we can get from Minister. One
last thing, what do you want for Christmas?
Speaker 8 (11:49):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (11:50):
Just actually some downtime to give the Tahir and shorts
on and hang out with the son and the daughter
and Amanda would be awesome.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
And some electrolytes. By the looks that's his drink of
choice this morning.
Speaker 7 (11:59):
I like that a thank you if I go to
say to all you guys are thanks for bringing so
much fun to the mornings. I follow you guys a
little bit on Instagram and stuff from time to time,
and I just think you're doing an amazing job just
bringing a lot of joy to people and to all
the listeners out there. I just hope you genuine get
a chance to refresh and recharge over summer break and
there's some good times and then if p up.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
Once it's very nice thing by Minister.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Coasts Feel Good Breakfast catch Up podcast with Tony Street,
Jas Reeves and Sam Wallace.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
Hey, if you haven't checked you a lotto ticket.
Speaker 5 (12:28):
Yet you won't want to do that because we're waking
up this morning with another millionaire amongst us.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
Someone won a million dollars.
Speaker 5 (12:33):
A loto last night and thirteen people got eighteen thousand
dollars each.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
I've got to start getting them.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
Changes a logo.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
You know, it's just not great odds is you know,
as a husband, it's quite often you are placed in
a position where it is impossible to win.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
So you've got to ask yourself, how did I get here?
Speaker 4 (12:55):
What's happened?
Speaker 3 (12:55):
Well, my wee boy had his birthday party, not his birthday,
but just his party. Because his birthday is on the
twenty eighth of decendise is at terrible times, so we
bring it back a little bit and we had a
bit early when his friends are all around them. We
decided to go to Clip and Climb, which is a
wonderful place for the kids. But with that, with his enthusiasm,
and that's what he wanted for his birthday was a
Clip and Climb cake.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Well, there's no such thing.
Speaker 6 (13:16):
I bringing my amazing wife who had to make one.
She made one.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
She put three tears of cake on it and then
cut the face off it, and then she laid up
some chocolate and then put peebles in the chocolate and
laid that up against the cake.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
Great idea, very clear. I'd like to see a picture
of this.
Speaker 6 (13:34):
Yeah, I can show you in just a second.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
And what happened was I was at home and she
had gone to pick up the kids from school, and
I came home and the whole thing had slumped and
fallen across the bench. And I sent her a pictures
I meant to look like this, and she's like, no,
what have you done to it? I haven't done anything.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
Definitely did something. I smell rat.
Speaker 4 (13:54):
And that's where the conference tells you everything.
Speaker 6 (13:56):
That's where the conflict about the cake beganed.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
How reckon you just tried to pick a people.
Speaker 6 (14:01):
Lads night. I didn't touch it. I wouldn't da.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
But she put layers of icing in between the cake
and warm day slip, very slippery anyway. So the birthday
party was the next day, and she'd rebuilt it at night,
which meant a late night.
Speaker 6 (14:16):
Yeah, and she'd put the work in. But then we
had to get that cake, which.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
Was a little a little bit dubious to the clip
and climb, so it was at this point we were
rushing up the door. Because of the reconstruction process, we
were late, but also we had a cake that was
very precarious and this is my lose lose situation, so
it was like hurry to get there, but drive like
a limousine driver. You could not destroy the cake. So
(14:42):
it's like she was like, can you hurry up? Can
you not go over the pump that fast? Can you
go around the don't go around the corner that quickly.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
It's gonna fall.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Your breathing is annoying me, and you shouldn't have taken
that people from the cake.
Speaker 6 (14:53):
Can you just get out of the car on driving away.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
The long and the short of this is the cake
survived with only the little chocolate tower starting to fold
at the top.
Speaker 6 (15:04):
She did pretty well, so we.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Hit the cake first before the clip and climbing.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Despite all of her fine efforts, if it wasn't for
my driving, hey, well.
Speaker 5 (15:12):
Under Julie she got herself the Musashi Prize pack from
Bargain Chemists. Honestly, for more information about how you get
these amazing Christmas gifts for the whole family, got to
bargain chemist dot co dot Inzeed do it again tomorrow.
Speaker 11 (15:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
They I actually purchased the Musashi bars from there this
week as I went in and got my free prescriptions.
There you go, taking off the five bucks.
Speaker 6 (15:28):
What vanilla wafer Musashi bars are the best?
Speaker 1 (15:31):
I like the cookies and cream.
Speaker 6 (15:32):
Yeah, you like the crasspei. I like the way fiends for.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
Anyway, while we're talking about food and goals and things,
I have the second part of our reset for twenty
twenty five. So these are the things that you should
at least commit to in January and see if you
can do it for more than one month. Okay, So
number one all this number four technically because we did
three last week, is outsourcing your motivations. So essentially, everyone
(15:56):
is never going to be motivated all of the time.
You don't always have it. So what they're saying is,
at the very beginning of the year, when you're setting
your new year's resolutions, choose a podcast, a book, or
a YouTube channel that you're going to use for your
source of inspiration. So when you're feeling a bit blur, go, Okay,
what podcast and I listen to? Or is there a
book that I can get a tidbit from. Yeah, but
(16:16):
You've got to write it down so you know where
you're hitting.
Speaker 5 (16:19):
The Breakfast Bonus podcast, Just Takes podcast, the two six
nine demotivation.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
You'll laugh at us with.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Us Number two. Nourish your body and brain, so forget
the fads, go back to basics. So you need to
set some habits, write it down, hydrating purposefully. I got
to athletics last night and realized I was ninety nine
point nine percent parched, almost like how have I got
myself in this state? And you know, when you're Thursday,
it's too late.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
And then you get home and you drink a liter
of water and then you spend the whole night weing.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
I do that every day and in January, right, you
start on January the first, and you were meant to
add one food every week of the year, which is
going to energize you. So maybe your first week is right.
I'm focusing on fruit this week, and maybe you're you know,
you're introducing a barrier you haven't had or I haven't
had an apple in like six months. I'm going to
have an apple, you.
Speaker 6 (17:10):
Know, Yeah, right, sick within that calorie deficit.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Yeah, you can still do that. Sammy and I really
love this tip for a reset for twenty twenty five,
and this is in the decluttering zone. And Sam, I
know that's a big goal for you for twenty twenty five.
It's just sort out your wardrobe. So this is both
a physical and a mental declutter. So each day, pick
one area, just one area and Sam, the first one
on here sees your desk, and you could do with
(17:35):
that because often you have about seven thousand cups sitting
there because you don't take them to the kitchen. So
you pick. It could be your phone's photo album, it
could be your mental headspace. I'm geting Dumper to do.
Speaker 6 (17:47):
List down, even listen to this. This is enough to
give anyone anxiety.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
Myad emails nineteen, three hundred and eighty eight ere we go.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
So that should be your first d cluster moment. Over
two months, that's sixty areas cleaned if you just focus
on one a day.
Speaker 6 (18:05):
Yeah, it's lovely.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
Okay, So get it onto those.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
Emails you think usually throw my mind.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Nineteen he does Christmas box chaseless. You know what, You're
never going to go back and read those emails? Do
you think you are? But you're not?
Speaker 12 (18:22):
No?
Speaker 5 (18:23):
Okay, there's time and it's time to play the chases
right now. There's five hundred dollars on the line this morning.
So every time we play the Chases, a Christmas box
gets donated to help reminder family somewhere in New Zealand
that they're not forgotten this fest of season. And if
you beat us, you obviously win the five hundred dollars,
but also give you a Christmas box to which you
can keep all donate.
Speaker 4 (18:39):
That's up to you.
Speaker 6 (18:40):
Cannag four chase.
Speaker 1 (18:43):

Speaker 4 (18:52):
These have been really hardly.
Speaker 12 (18:53):
Now.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
You haven't been playing amazing, but you've scraped through.
Speaker 5 (18:55):
Yeah, but what if everyone's getting a two out of five?
It's just too hard?
Speaker 1 (18:58):
Are you blaming after duc of the Queen.
Speaker 5 (19:00):

Speaker 2 (19:14):
The Christmas box for chaseless.
Speaker 10 (19:19):
Hi am, Michelle. I'm from Apperhead, and if I smash
it out today, I'm going to go and do a
bit of extra Christmas shopping.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
I like that smash it out because that's the attitude
you're going to need to beat Jace today. But five
hundred dollars would be good. What would be the first
thing on your Christmas list? Do you think? Is there
anything you've got your eye on?
Speaker 5 (19:38):
M You've got a couple of friends, yep.
Speaker 10 (19:41):
For the teenagers, nice or nice?
Speaker 4 (19:43):

Speaker 4 (20:00):
Hey, good luck, my friend.
Speaker 10 (20:01):
All right, thank you?
Speaker 1 (20:02):
CJS out the door, Sammy. What did you get when
you tried this?
Speaker 6 (20:06):

Speaker 3 (20:38):
The OCR was cut to what percentage point?
Speaker 6 (20:45):

Speaker 10 (20:50):
No?
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Suh? I don't know that one either.
Speaker 6 (20:52):
Neither.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
And you know, I feel for you on the OCR
question because you got the percentage cut right, and but
just not the actual percentage what it will drop down to?
Speaker 1 (21:02):
What's down to?
Speaker 6 (21:03):
Yeah, which is a tough question from producer Rosie.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
All Right, he's frying.
Speaker 6 (21:07):
Jason, you go point four? Yeah, you're don't say anything
because Jason has entered the building.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
He might do the same thing.
Speaker 4 (21:14):
He might do this.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
That's the good thing about the chases. It's fear for
both parties. What I do, Jase, just down, sir, Just
don't worry.
Speaker 6 (21:20):
We're going to reverse You're chasing until we're going to
reverse the order.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
Yeah, it's not easy. It's not easy. It's a past three.
We think I'll give.
Speaker 6 (21:29):
You a million dollars if you get the first one right.
Speaker 11 (21:32):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (21:32):

point five million.
Speaker 5 (21:35):
Yeah, so if you're making.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
That though, all right your times?
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Now, what is the capital of Bulgaria?
Speaker 6 (21:48):
Pass was cut to what percentage?
Speaker 4 (21:51):
Four point twenty five?
Speaker 3 (21:52):
Yes? What is the generation of people born from nineteen
forty six to nineteen sixty four?
Speaker 6 (21:58):
Corps year?
Speaker 1 (21:59):
They are, yeah, they are. You're never going to get this.
I don't even think I've ever heard of that in
my life. It's a massive gap of our geo knowledge.
Speaker 6 (22:09):
The answer is so fair, Oh so fair.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Did you know that he's going to get the rest?
I reckon who.
Speaker 4 (22:18):
Sings material Girl Madonna?
Speaker 3 (22:20):
Yes, Now, don't don't jump to conclusions with this next one.
Speaker 6 (22:24):
Jays Flake chocolate bars are made by what brand?
Speaker 4 (22:28):
Flake Flake? Okay?
Speaker 1 (22:39):
Four?
Speaker 2 (22:40):
Five?
Speaker 1 (22:40):
Mate?
Speaker 6 (22:40):
Well placed?
Speaker 1 (22:41):
Sam Sam reckons. The question was hard, but you know what,
on a topical day, you've got to you've got to
google the most obvious topical and that was it.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
I think the fear question would have been how much
did they cut it by?
Speaker 6 (22:53):
Because no one really knows what it is?
Speaker 3 (22:56):
Question knowledge question, But let's be honest, Adrian Law, what
are you up to?
Speaker 6 (23:03):
Mate?
Speaker 4 (23:06):
Anyway?
Speaker 5 (23:06):
Thank you so much that we will play again tomorrow

Speaker 2 (23:26):
NZB Coasts Feel Good Breakfast catch up podcast with Coasts
Tony Street, Jase Reeves and Sam Wallas.
Speaker 5 (23:34):
Divorced guys have had their say I can't believe what
they're saying.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Breaking up is.
Speaker 4 (23:45):
Hard, so when saying for that.
Speaker 5 (23:51):
Since twenty twenty one, the divorce rates in New Zealand
have steadily climbed and they've done a bit of a
survey about afterwards. After the ink is dry, women are
a lot better off after a divorce.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Interesting, actually they got rid of the dead wait time
and time again.
Speaker 5 (24:05):
Every study shows that women are better off when they're
not married.
Speaker 4 (24:08):
Don't tell her whis they're there, Sam?
Speaker 1 (24:09):
You know, I think she's well aware of it.
Speaker 6 (24:13):
So we still get half of all this stuff. You will,
I'm going to clean that Augustine wardrobe out.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (24:22):
So a third of divorced men say they want a
woman who dot dot dot.
Speaker 4 (24:27):
This is after the anchor is dry.
Speaker 5 (24:29):
One third of divorced men finished the sentence I want
a woman who dot dot dot.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
A third of them.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
It's on a third and that's right.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
What food are we talking about?
Speaker 4 (24:40):
Or being honest?
Speaker 3 (24:42):
I want three weeks in Thailand?
Speaker 1 (24:49):
What do you say? They want to tie woman? Is
that what you're saying, Sam, he's confused.
Speaker 5 (24:55):
A woman who dot dot dot so finished? A woman
who finis?
Speaker 4 (25:00):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (25:03):
Start with you.
Speaker 6 (25:04):
Answer this question because I don't know if these men
have been honest or not.
Speaker 4 (25:07):
Well, it's pretty honest.
Speaker 6 (25:08):
Oh well, I know that, will go.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
I want a woman that doesn't have kids.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
That's a great guess.
Speaker 6 (25:14):
I want a woman that is at least twenty years
younger than me.
Speaker 4 (25:16):
That's another good guest. But it's not either of those.
So what do you think it is?
Speaker 2 (25:21):
Text?
Speaker 4 (25:21):
What you think the answer? If you were to finished
that sentence?
Speaker 5 (25:23):
A third of all divorced men say they want a
woman who watch you put for the rest of that answer.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
I've got some other suggestions that unappropriate.
Speaker 6 (25:31):
Say no, everyone is thinking it in the cast exactly.
Speaker 5 (25:35):
If you want to, you can text what you think
that is to two six nine nine exponents take a
long balloons shift the fruit selling I'm we're going to
real insight this morning.
Speaker 6 (25:46):
God, this is good. I can't get another us.
Speaker 4 (25:51):
Breaking had.
Speaker 5 (25:58):
One third of divorced men say they want the woman
who dot dot dot. We said it before, we said
you just how would you finish that sentence? Hey, what
do you think they have?
Speaker 11 (26:04):
Sense?
Speaker 1 (26:05):
I just like from some of the replies we're getting
on just thinking it might not be the woman that's
a pomped.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
I agree, it's kind of with the request is it's
kind of a complaint. At the same time, I think
this is a double edged sort of blame.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
To be honest, this one isn't clingy.
Speaker 4 (26:24):
Yeah, well who has a boat.
Speaker 6 (26:28):
Over one hundred k?
Speaker 1 (26:29):
This one, my personal favorite, doesn't answer back, Wow, you
just want someone to sit there in the corner, Well.
Speaker 6 (26:37):
A dog, I'm your wife. It's literally my job.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
Were that going too deep? What do you reckon? Is
the third of divorced men to say they want a
woman who.
Speaker 10 (26:48):
Who will sexy O.
Speaker 6 (26:51):
What are you talking, big boy?
Speaker 10 (26:58):
I just believe that dumb. I would say, most men
always like women dressing sixty. Doesn't know if you're married
or not married, like you always notice, it doesn't matter
where you are.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
But they're not too sixy that all the other men notice, right,
They're just correct.
Speaker 10 (27:12):
So I'm getting through my divorce at the moment, I've
got a new partner, and you do you kind of
like it's just one of those things. You like women
that dress sixty. You know, you go out and you
notice that they look amazing, and you think, wow, that's
just the known fact. And I think it's most men
would think that.
Speaker 4 (27:31):
And so do you have that now in your new relationship?
Do you give?
Speaker 6 (27:35):
Oh?
Speaker 10 (27:35):
Yeah, my new partner she can dress sixty when we
go out, and she can just wear sweatpants at around home,
like she knows that I enjoyed looking nice and that
she's quite nice having a woman on your arm that
dresses sixty and people notice her and go, wow, she
looks stunning, And it's just one of those things.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
I'm sure you dress to match that too, gav Right.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
I don't down at all shares, Hello, mate, what do
you think it is.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
I just to put that guest and thought that maybe
it's the woman that earns more than the husband. Oh
that would be helpful, wouldn't it.
Speaker 4 (28:08):
That is actually the other, a woman who earns more
than him.
Speaker 6 (28:14):
Oh that comes with its complications, does it?
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (28:16):
Yeah, because if I tell you what would not handle that?
Speaker 1 (28:20):
No?
Speaker 6 (28:20):
I could handle it.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
But well I don't know if I could, because if
Cyril's earning more than me, I'd be the start home dad,
and that's hard.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
To stay home.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
What if what if you have a woman I'm just
going back to what Gav was saying. What if you
had a woman that earned more but was wearing a
track he's out? You'd be in a conumbium.
Speaker 6 (28:41):
Tasting, doesn't it. Yeah, I'm more superficial for that.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
I'll just go with a flash written one like our
last caller, wasn't he reputable?
Speaker 6 (28:50):
A very valid point.
Speaker 1 (28:52):
Your wife dress is sixty?
Speaker 6 (28:54):
Yeah she does?
Speaker 1 (28:54):
Yeah, she's ticking that.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
Box anyway before?
Speaker 6 (28:58):
Are you making it sound like I don't think she does.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
I'm not making all the problem we have.
Speaker 3 (29:05):
Asked me in what they think, and now this is
turned into a beatdown on men like me.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
Some fair are you grouping yourself here.
Speaker 3 (29:12):
I got another call, the last caller, edit all of
this out start again on us.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
I would love to, but no, we just can't.
Speaker 5 (29:23):
What you should be seeing tonight, hopefully if you get
a chance at some stage.
Speaker 4 (29:26):
In the next few weeks. More One or two hits
cinemas today and it's really really good.
Speaker 5 (29:31):
It's a Disney film, but you think it's a ki film.
And we've got some of the Kiwi stars with us
Alfe My Phraser who plays Martinui, the baddie in this movie,
Dave Fanny who plays the chef Kelly, and also tim
a wad to Morrison.
Speaker 4 (29:42):
Chief Twey return he does.
Speaker 11 (29:47):
But with the second More Wana, it's more about going
beyond the reef, whereas the first one was No one
goes beyond the reef, moaner.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
I love your own character for this.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
This is rare. I don't know what I'm talking like,
you should be speaking on the radio.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
Amazing to have it to our version, but then to
also hear that many New Zealand voices within the story.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
That's what we were shocked at. How key we this
movie actually is.
Speaker 11 (30:15):
Yes, no, we got that from the Australian media that
they were having a little bit of a giggle over.
Speaker 12 (30:24):
I was going on it was funny when we did
the voices and they said, oh, can you do an
American accent? And I just reminded them that no, we're
from Pacific, all over this area, we all have different
ways of speaking. And then they came back, okay, don't argue,
But was that realization that you know, we're bigger than
(30:46):
just that American standard voice.
Speaker 11 (30:49):
The music again just incredible, and even the little one,
the voiceover work, but the singing of this one may playing.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
You had a huge role in the movie. Took us
through how you got that role? What was the process? Like, sure.
Speaker 6 (31:07):
They will tell you.
Speaker 5 (31:10):
No.
Speaker 13 (31:10):
I am twenty twenty two. An audition came through my agent.
Disney's name was on it. I wasn't sure what the
co propper was, what the role was. It was a
bit of a hidden script. Auditioned for it, sung an
a cappella and then didn't hear for about six to
seven months. Came back and I had an email meet
and greet with Disney and I was like, what is that?
Speaker 6 (31:33):
This real?
Speaker 9 (31:34):
Just kill less colotes and loot, You're no right, fun
and holding back there?
Speaker 4 (31:51):
Did you make the captain the singing? Well, I heard
two lives. I had two words, two words.
Speaker 12 (31:57):
And the funny thing is the version the guys playing Kelly,
and he got a lot more because he could actually sing.
I was worried you are no, you know when they
when they told me your last.
Speaker 4 (32:18):
Very funnyness, very very funny.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
Yeah, yeah, we love him.
Speaker 12 (32:21):
Yeah, I'm probably the sex appeal.
Speaker 4 (32:25):
With Mali special sixteen feet they stick to the canoe.
Speaker 6 (32:31):
Obviously your comedy runs through. Was a lot of that
organic or was it scripted? Or did things turn up
in the final editt you were like, oh my god,
I can't believe that made it.
Speaker 12 (32:39):
The thing is that, like you do the what they
actually write, and then you do an option where they say,
now you would say, just as you these lines, would
you do? And That's where I'd have fun and just
cut loose and order.
Speaker 6 (32:53):
It didn't make the.
Speaker 12 (32:55):
Should I should have guessed something was up because I
noticed the red it wasn't on. Yeah, I just sound
engineered less and I was just there in.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
Front of a microphone.
Speaker 6 (33:09):
Work.
Speaker 4 (33:11):
It is more, it is honestly phenomenal.
Speaker 5 (33:13):
The songs get stuck and you hear the story is
beautiful and honestly the animation is next level as well.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
And you've made are so proud to have New Zealand
all I just infused in a Disney hit, So thank you.
Speaker 5 (33:26):
A key we filmed, So think this one last time
before we go, because this is all I could hear
last night from my two boys were driving home.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
Can we get to cheat? Who? Actually? We're both were
better that? This is awesome?
Speaker 2 (33:45):
