A Podcast loosely affiliated with the band Protest the Hero but also featuring Rody Walker lead vocalist of the band Protest the Hero
This week we are joined by Michael Ieradi. You might remember him from such bands as Today I Caught the Plague and Mystery Weekend. But he joining us this week to talk about his new musical project Same Fears. We always love having Michael on the show. And this show is no different. The new Same Fears release comes out just before Halloween. Please check it out. Follow Same Fears on Instagram.

This week, we are in for a treat. Watch our very own Rody Walker successfully complete a feat never before seen. A feat so great it should have its own website where he sells uncensored pictures of it. And all the while we talk about Soft Targets Dig Softer Graves. We get into the songwriting and then delve into our usual tangents. It is the combination of sweet and salty that you all love.

Rody big-timed me this week. He went to a cottage on a lake but not Walker Manor. A bigger nicer cottage on a probably bigger nicer lake. He claimed it had internet. I didn't believe him, so I invited one of his best friends to take his spot. Famed composer Milen Petzelt-Sorace joins me to talk orchestration in heavy music. Hear the story of how Milen and Rody met. Don't get any ideas. He is done making new friends...
This episode we dig into A Plateful of Our Dead the final track on Kezia. Obviously that means we are going to tangent into meat talk and maybe a little cannibalism. So be warned. For that one listener, sorry. We also forgot to pick a t-shirt winner again. We will. I promise. Game. That is a play on words. Gifts. And nonsense.

This week we debut the premiere of Paracast the Hero. Our Paramore-themed Protest the Hero podcast. This week we dive into Ain't It Fun. It is catchy plus Cheese loves Paramore more than life itself. I don't know if he has a Paramore tattoo but I think we need to encourage it if he doesn't. We also forgot to pick a T-Shirt winner. We will get to it. Stop being so greedy. Games, Gifts you gotta see and a speci...
This week we jumped into the PTH catalog and went back to Scurrilous. We got a special request to cover Termites. So we did. There is some addiction talk and mentions of Eating Disorders. Just wanted to be upfront about that. We go deep into Gin, Termites, Genies, and gifts. Some of the conversation deals with serious topics, but hopefully, we kept it light and fun.

This week's episode is based on These Colours Don't Run from A Calculated Use of Sound. But I said based on. Sure, there is a little background info on the song. But this is so much more than that. The gifts this week are top notch.
We are also in the middle of T-Shirt Contest. Next week is the last week to enter so get your fun names in now.

Rody is out this week so I decided to give you all a story "hour" (more like 40 minutes). I am not sure why this stuff always ends up being in space. My original plan was supposed to be super hero-based. But ChatGPT knows the real me. Anyway, this week we have 3 short stories about our good pal Cheese. They were fun to make and fun to record. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I did making it.
We bring back all the paying Patreon Names. There is a new Patreon Name Contest in Effect until the end of July. To Enter just make yourself a new Patreon user name each week and we will pick the best one for a T-Shirt. Cheese, I think, was using his Mac Mic this week instead of his actual mic so he sounds a little different. Whatever. We don't really care. This week's episode is all about Apathy with the topic take...
This week we dip back into the Volition well and we grab a bucket of yellow teeth. I know everyone really wants song breakdowns. There is only so much we can dive into before we go off on tangents. So you get some Yellow Teeth and then actual teeth. PTH News, New Music, a gift and a game.

This week, we break down the major themes in Without Prejudice. Batman fights Predator in a cage match of end-stage capitalism. Also, the space program for some reason. It all ties together. I promise. PTH News, New Music, Game and Gifts. You know the format by now. Should we have musical interludes for the different segments?

After Cheese hit Fritzy with the hard questions, Fritzy turned the tables on Cheese and hit him with some queries of his own. Get to know the mind of Rody Walker in this thrilling-edge-of-your-seat-laugh-a-minute nightmare. Maybe this episode will encourage you to find out more about your best friends. Seriously, so lazy.

Rody has a conspiracy theory. Fritz has been replaced with a doppelfritzer. This week he subjects "Fritzy" to a battery of tests to determine if he is the real Fritzy or an impostor. PTH News? Extensive new music discussion. A Boys Night Out-themed game and a gift.

We're back baybeeeee. Tour Wrap up Episode. First we do some PTH News, New Music discussion and then we go show by show, city by city and review the BTBAM ComAlaska tour. Rody throws hypotheticals at Fritz throughout the Episode and then we end with a game. Rody ran the game and let me tell you it was a challenge. Good luck Gen Z.

Cheese is flyin solo this week. Fritzy had to work. Worthless piece of human trash. Everyone knows that Cheese is dedicated and I mean dedicated to sculpting and chiseling his biceps and pectoral muscles. Do not pay attention to his thighs though. Leg day is toooo hard. If you have wondered what it is like trying to stay fit on the road this one is for you. Cause Fritz doesn't have a clue.

This week I did something weird. I fully believe that Rody wants nothing more than to be a stand-up comedian. So I made him a 30-minute Comedy Special. Some pretty good bits, stories and crowd work. Please enjoy.

This was a special episode. Recorded Live at the Mill in Tillsonburg Ontario. I was nervous and awkward and quiet. Cheese was his always gregarious self. Tim and Ben were wonderful as always and the crowd was amazing. Enjoy this combination of live music, jokes, and storytelling from your favoritest boys in the whole wide world. Also Cage I love you and I'm sorry.

This week invited the Patrons to join us on while the band is on the road. We got started chatting while we waited for Cheese. Then we thought maybe there wouldn't be Cheese. Then he joined us from the road to answer a few patron questions. It was a fun chat about Protest the Hero, and a conversation among new friends. If you want to participate in episodes like this you can join us on Patreon.
The boys are on the road with BTBAM right now. The Lord Guitarhorse and Fritzy went to the show in Grand Rapids. Here is their review as Mike slowly fades into nothingness. There are spoilers here. If you don't want to hear the setlist, wait until after you go to the show to listen to this one.
And on that note, if you don't have tix yet, please get them now. It is an incredible show, well worth the price of admission....
This week is a haphazard mishmash of stuff. Playoff Hockey News? We got it. Fritzy interrogates Cheese on why he loves Paramore. It gets pretty in depth. Then we discuss hypothetical Comedy Concept Albums by bands we like.
We have a game of Pick Your Poison (Would You Rather) followed by Gifts. Want the Patrons? Wait for the end. Why? Who knows.
