When we tell people that we homeschool all year round, including the summer, some people are shocked. And before you think it’s some cruel punishment to homeschool over the summer, relax!
The kids don’t mind, and there are some great benefits. Our summer looks different, but because we make our own schedule, it’s still a jam-packed summer of camp, family, friends and fun. It just includes some workbook time, too!
What would I do if I went back in time and had to homeschool kindergarten all over again? With so many families starting to think about homeschooling their little ones come September, I thought I would share some of my wisdom as a more experienced homeschool parent about what I would do, what I would use, and a few things I wish someone would have told me when my kids started kindergarten years ago.
