"עת לאהוב ועת לשנוא, עת מלחמה ועת שלום", נכתב בספר קהלת. ואכן, נדמה לעיתים שההיסטוריה כולה, שלא לדבר על ה"מצב" הישראלי, ואיתו החיים האישיים והקולקטיביים כאחד, נחלקים באופן זה בלבד - מלחמה ושלום. את הסמסטר הקרוב בקורס "מסע סביב רעיון" נקדיש לבחינה מעמיקה של המלחמה והשלום, על שלל הקשריהם והשפעותיהם. במהלך הסמסטר נבקש להבין, בין היתר, כיצד נולדו דיני המלחמה ולמה בכלל הם נחוצים, האם קשרים כלכליים בין מדינות יכולים למנוע מלחמות, מה מאפיין את הקולנוע המלחמתי הישראלי, איך מתנהל משא ומתן ליצירת הסכם שלום ומה הפך את "מלחמה ושלום" לאחת היצירות הספרותיות המכוננות אי פעם. 61668
