The late Bob Edens left a legacy in Marshall County. The TSSAA Hall of Famer coached the MCHS Tiger Football team to a state title in 1984. Frederick Fisher was a Private in the Virginia militia and participant in the Battle of King's Mountain. He fought for the nation's independence, and he eventually found his way to what would become Marshall County.
