Believers are often shocked when the enemy is permitted to attack them even though they're walking faithfully with God. Sometimes the result of walking faithfully with God is that more trouble comes from the devil. But don't lose heart. God is setting us up for a greater victory to bring greater honor to his name.

Many people have only a confession of godliness but no power to live a godly life. These people are deceived. They're confident they're right with God when they're just as lost as the atheist or the agnostic. Jesus came to change us from the inside out to make us new creatures in Christ. God seeks to dwell with the one who is humble and of a contrite spirit and who trembles at His word.

Sometimes we make seeking the Lord all about the need for the moment, the thing that is pressing, the financial difficulty, the healing, the answer, the wisdom that's needed. But it's so much more than that. We we need to move past the seeking God for the gift or the answered prayer and into "I want God".

Why do we give? Spiritual people give first to bless God for all that he's blessed them with and to gain true riches. True riches are people won to Christ through the everlasting gospel. People granted eternal life instead of eternal condemnation.

One of the greatest deceptions is that more possessions will lead to a more fulfilling life. Having wealth is not evil, but wealth having us, is.

God isn't waiting for you to get more experience so he can use you, he's waiting for you to believe him so he can use you.

We live in a world full of temptation, of seductions. To walk in repentance is to continually withdraw or turn your soul from sin.

Jesus, the good shepherd, pursues the one who is lost to save them and to make them his. He's not about crowds. He's not about masses. He's about individuals.

A trembling heart does not turn aside even when it has failed in sin. It remembers what great things God has done.

The scriptures say the law came by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Grace is what makes the gift of God so great and the message so joyful. Grace gives us the treasure and the joys of heaven based on the merit of another.

Jesus talks about believing almost 100 times in the gospels. He challenged people on being a believer more than anything else in the Bible.

God is longing to pour out His glory on the earth. He chooses to do it through those who believe, those who call on his name in fervent prayer.

Jesus warned that in the last days that an abundance of false prophets would seek to draw people after themselves. Even people who speak a prophetic word can be false teachers. Are you able to discern the truth?

Simplicity of heart means single and sincere devotion. The opposite of a simple faith is a heart cluttered with multiple cares, affections and distractions.

Though Rahab's name means "wide and proud" she chose to humble herself and go the narrow way.

Some contemporary voices claim that God has abandoned Israel, no longer having any concern for its future, because Israel has largely rejected Jesus Christ. But does this perspective align with biblical teaching?

Jesus is coming soon for his pure and spotless bride. Now is the time to share the Gospel with urgency.

Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone. Trying to earn it only leads to doubting and believing that Christ's sacrifice is not enough. Are you truly saved?
