(00:02):
Good morning, gentlemen, Good morning. Another celebrity in hot Water today that
is right away Get five Ways Outin the morning, the former Charles Starr
and Parker's Family. Now it's agay radio show in Seattle. Danny is
with us right now. Danny, you are the star in the parts of
Family, Hello World. Actor andcurrent radio host on Kazy Okay and Seattle,

(00:26):
Danny Botta Ducci. This is theDanny Bona Ducci show. Me wrong

(00:51):
never so. Yesterday Amy and Iwere at Target. God, I love
that story, and she had onthis with her. I think she wanted
to buy y I hate it whenthis woman has a list. I veered
off and found myself in the bicyclesection. I've been checking out neighborhoods in
Palm Springs. Everything is pretty muchflat, a bike rider's paradise. I
insisted I buy a bike right now. Now. I hate to admit it,

(01:14):
but I acted just like baruk assault. Amy told me I should do
a little research and make sure Igot the right bike just for me,
and I shouldn't impulsively buy a bikenow. At this particular Target, they
only had like eight bikes left.Did I listen to the very regional advice
my wife gave me. Well,of course not. I did buy a
woman's bike. I thought the onlydifference was the color. It turns out
that a woman's bike is situated justa little bit higher, and you sit

(01:38):
up a little bit straighter. DidI buy a mountain bike for city streets?
Oh of course I did so.How long did it take me to
get home? All of two miles? And how many times did I fall?
Here? The answers? One hourand twice? How and why the
hell does my wife seem to knoweverything? And why can't I just listen?
No, Sarah? What the news? News is brought to you by
Union Gospel Mission. Well it is. It's the final countdown, Danny.

(02:01):
It is your last week on theair here at CAZy. Okay, the
final countdown. Now I'm sitting around. But if you missed, you announced
me yesterday. Danny has decided heis going to try his hand at golfing
full time. What or you're justgoing to retire and enjoy the sun in
Palm Springs. Yeah? I haveno idea what I'm gonna do. For

(02:22):
God's sake? Right, you know? I told Amy because Amy would remind
me what the health benefits were lastyear. I mean, I was really
sick on it off and I don'tremember most of it, which is probably
pretty cool. But the one thingI thought is this woman deserves a good
husband, a good, healthy husbandthat she can go out with and have
a great life with. And Ican't promise her that that won't happen again.
I'll promise I'm gonna wake up ina wheelchair some crazy stuff like that.

(02:46):
So yeah, it's time that Iretire and just sit around and kiss
my wife and tell him much Ilove her. And you guys, if
you sending some mail or you sendsnail mail, as Willie so graciously put
it, I would love to getback to you as much as possible because
everybody, you guys, have beengreat to me. There's none of this
without you, So again, thanksagain, you guys. Another news,
Steven's Pass is finally ready to opento skiers today after the season was delayed

(03:08):
due to warm temperatures and rain.Officials said opening day guests can expect Daisy
Brooks and Skyline lifts to begin runningat nine o'clock this morning. Right on,
you, guys. Sandle based onlineretailer Zulily appears to be shutting down
for good. What do you mean? They're a really good company, That's
what I thought. And then Iguess Amazon wrecked them. I don't even

(03:30):
know. I don't even know themnearly killed them. But you know,
that's a big company that decided I'mnot going to do it anymore. So
maybe I've started a trend. Ohyeah, what else is Danny going to
take out with his retirement? Avideo game like Arsenal was collected during a
gun buy back event in San Jose. Officials say a rocket launcher and ouzi

(03:53):
and a sawed off shotgun were amongthe weapons turned in. So you can't
have any of those things. Youcan have a sowd off shotgun, cane.
Well that's not the point. Thepoint is if you have a weapon
and you do not want it anymore, you were like what do I do
with it? So they have theseturn in events, like maybe you have
a great grandparent who collected a bunchof guns that you don't want in your

(04:15):
house, right, you take themto the gun buy back event. So
in this case, somebody no longerwanted their uzzy sawt off shotgun or rocket
launcher, right, wow, theyby the way they give because I've thought
about this before. They give goodprices. If you've got a gun waiting
around the house that you don't reallyneed, yeah, take you to the
buy back and they'll pay good moneyfor it and they won't ask too many
questions. Two hundred and seventy fiverifles, one hundred and thirty three hand

(04:39):
guns, seventy airsoft and twenty ghostguns were all surrendered for a total of
forty K Right, I said,it isn't airsoft like a kid's a gun
like this, a snocky gun,but similar. If you don't want a
replica gun in your house, somebodymight think it's a real gun and shoot
you so and shoot you Yeah.So you turn it in and then you

(05:00):
get cash for it. You getmoney right on the spot. Nice kids.
When you think of Christmas time, you think of all the beautiful smells,
like a campfire burning or the pineneedles of a Christmas tree. Jean
Spirit. It might smell like teenSpirit. It might smell like Miller High
Life. They've got a new treethat smells like tobacco named Mary Highlight.

(05:26):
Okay, is it just me ordo I not know what you're talking about?
Miller High Life. Oh okay, everybody knows Miller Highlight. Yes,
they have a new Christmas tree,so if you wanted to have a Christmas
jere in your house, you couldlook sort of like a dive bar and
smell like one too nice. Usualactivities for a seventeen year old are usually
involved dating and hanging out with yourfriends. Or one kid it is starting

(05:46):
his law career. What this kidwent to law school when he was thirteen
and now, at age seventeen, has passed the bar. But four years
well, he started law school atthirteen, and I believe he did this
on his first try. Oh man, A lot of people don't pass the
bar the first time exactly. Andnow he is a law clerk for the

(06:09):
district attorney. Over achieve. You'remaking the rest of us a look bad.
When I graduated college? Oh no, I never went to college.
Show off. It's time for today'sthings or not right. In Florida,
start of the day, yay, police arrested a woman after she robbed a
grocery store by threatening to blow itup. That's not cool. She entered
the store, she handed a noteto an employee and said give me all

(06:30):
your cash. Or I will blowup the supermarket. Well, they probably
meant like, we'll get your abunch of phone calls that kind of blow
up. She fled the scene.Employees looked out the window and saw her
car, wrote down the license platewhere police were able to arrest her.
Oh Florida, Oh Florida, AlFlorida. And by the way, she

(06:51):
did not blow up the supermarket.Right news is brought to you by a
Union Gospel mission. On the showthis morning, just after seven, tickets
to see Trevor Noah. Just aftereight, you can win tickets to see
Journey, Cheap Trick and Death Leopardall on one bill from what I took
my five kz Oka the classic rockstation. That is going to be a

(07:11):
great show. Iadies and gentlemen, now Sarah with Music, Sports and Entertainment.
The bass guitar belonging to a lateZz top bassis Dusty Hill, was
just auctioned off for four hundred thousanddollars. Wow, that's a lot of
dough. Yeah. It is nineteenfifty three Fender Precision bass. It appeared
on the cover of the band's albumFandango. It was a favorite of Dusty

(07:32):
Hill to play on tour and inthe studio. He claimed I should play
that kind of bass on the partof Showy. Oh was it really the
same one? No? Not,no, I'm sorry, not the same
one, but we had I playedat ten years old, maybe weighing all
of eighty five pounds. They gaveme a Fender Precision base that was also
right around eighty five pounds. Itwas very difficult, but that's what I
played on. That's what I pretendedto play on the part of Gentway Well.

(07:55):
Dusty Hill says he bought it froma pawn shop for seventy bucks.
Nice a man. Second highest priceever paid for a bass. The top
spot is a Paul McCartney bass.Oh, which one do you know?
I don't, but I know itsold for four hundred and seventy two thousand
dollars. I believe it was aHoffner or something like that. It was
a really cool bass guitar ladies andgentlemen. But was the guitar played by

(08:16):
Danny Bonaducci at number three? Iwonder how much they got for that.
I don't know. Kevin Smith isback in action, revealed he is writing
a new movie starring Jay and SilentBob how do you feel about that.
I love all those movies. Ilove Clerks, I love Kevin Smith and
Jay and Silent Bob. Of course, Jay was played by actor Jason muse

(08:37):
right, who has been on ourshow several times and you have history with
as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I was going to meet him
at the Caddy Words, but damnif I didn't meet him in rehab.
Ah. Yeah, super nice guy. He was a super nice guy.
And when he was on the showhere on Kazy OK, it was good
and he was funny and coherent.Well that'll be good for him. Yeah,

(09:01):
I mean on all week long amidstDanny's announcement that he is retiring,
we're sharing some favorite memories and havingJason use on the show was definitely a
very cool memory for us. Iwas in Hollywood, and not the fun
part of Hollywood. I was ona side street and I think I was
looking for drugs. What else wouldI be there? And all of a
sudden I see a shirtless Jay walkingdown the street. So he says,

(09:22):
and I don't know if this happenedbefore ever. He goes, Danny,
what are you doing? I toldme I was doing he was you have
twenty bucks I can borrow, andI said, yes, of course I
do. Jay, so that's mything. I met him in Rihub and
I gave him twenty bucks that wasprobably going for Heroin. Did he pay
you back? No? All right, Well, before you have your final
show on Friday, let's see ifwe can get Jason used on the phone
and get your twenty bucks back.Love to Love Too. I might let

(09:43):
the twenty bucks thing go, butmaybe not. Keanu Reeves's La mansion was
reportedly burglarized by a group of skimask wearing bandits. I'm sorry what happened?
LAPD were called twice to his homeon reports of trespassers on Keanu Reeves's
property. Second time they went, they caught them on camera, multiple men

(10:05):
in ski masks breaking into Keanu Reeves'shouse. It's because he goes to some
you know, really cool party,or he goes to some you know event,
or they're raising money for charity.Whatever. The problem with that is
you announce you won't be home, you know, and then what was this?
What the kids they should do atthe bling ring or something like that.
It's kind of a serially that seriousthing. They hear that you're out

(10:26):
and about and then they break inyour house. But the price of being
probably one of the biggest celebrities inthe world is that you got robbed.
It happens to football and baseball playersall the time. Now it's terrible,
Yeah, this is it's terrible. But the cost of doing business and being
a big ass celebrity man. Youknow, I'll take one more than the
other. Voting has begun for thisyear's Classic Rock Top oneenty twenty five.

(11:09):
football. Last night, we gotnot one but two games, and we
got not one but two great footballgames green Bay, Tennessee and Miami and
Green Bay and the Giants. TheGiants beat Green Bay twenty four twenty two
and a big win for Tennessee twentyeight twenty seven. Both games came down

(11:30):
to the actual final seconds and everybodytalking about Divido, the Giants quarterback.
He is a New Jersey native. He is the one who's been very vocal
about still living at home with hisparents and that his mom makes some chicken
cutlet. They kept showing his familyand his agent because they looked like a

(11:50):
cast of the Sopranos. Definitely likea mob agent. Oh yeah, he
was playing the part man, thatis for sure. And just the excitement,
you know, seeing a local boy. They're playing in New Jersey and
he gets the win. Giants havebeen terrible and I think they've won three
in a row, and you knowyou can't help but root for the kid.

(12:11):
But his agent, man, he'sawesome. He needs his own show.
I thought it was a costume.I'm nice for the Seahawks Monday Night
Football playing the Eagles at five pointfifteen, and Bobby Wagner is now being
nominated for the Walter Peyton NFL Manof the Year Award, very prestigious honor.
Let's hope he wins it. TheKraken play in Florida at seven and

wants to speak with Danny because shecaught her son talking on a burner phone.

(12:54):
Wants to know what on earth hasthis kid been up to? Wants
to know if you really she shouldbe worried or not? And Danny is
going to take her call after pickFloyd on on out two point five k's
okay the classic rock station Daddy BanaDucci a live coach. Dandy Banaducci is
in for a life coach. He'shere to help you out, just one
question at a time. If you'vegot a question, he will be here
for you. You can always emaillife Coach at Kazoka dot com. Here's

(13:16):
Maria in Kent. Hey, Maria, how are you hi? How are
you? I'm doing well? Thankyou. I'm glad to hear that.
What can I do for you today? Well, let me tell you what's
going on. While my son ismarried, he has a new baby,
and just the other day I washelping out at their home and while I
was there. He happened to takea call on his phone, but something
sit out to me. I noticedit wasn't his usual cell phone. It

(13:39):
looked like a different one. Ohyeah, I know, this is a
little weird. I'm just it isa little weird. Be you know,
when you're talking about your kid.I want you to know it's not only
okay, it's right to be alittle suspicious. Do you know if you
think about it, and you doknow, he wouldn't have called me.
How dangerous that is. He's marriedand he's going to be smitten with some
little girl that was down the street. She's twenty five years old, she's

(14:01):
beautiful, and now he's taken phonecalls on a burner phone. No,
this is a huge problem. Thisis a big problem. You haven't even
told me all of it. Okay, back to you. What's going on?
That's what I was going to say. I think it could be a
secret phone, and to tell youthe truth, he got pretty flustered and
went into his room to take thecall. So listen, I know it
wasn't a work phone. And it'sso as much as the pains need to

(14:22):
have to say this, I cannothelp but wonder if he is cheating on
his wife, how can you findout what that phone is? Because if
it's a burner phone or just adifferent phone, and he's actually kind of
smart learning to be the life coach. I made a bunch of bad decisions
and I had an affair for awhile there, and I left my phone
down one time one time, andit brought down a house. I lost

(14:43):
the respect of my children, Ilost my now ex wife, and to
be honest with you, I losta bunch of money. This is a
bad idea. And I will tellyou. If he's answering a phone that
isn't his in front of you soyou can see it, he's begging to
get caught. Why would he dothat? I learned my time never happen
again, your son. If he'sdoing that, and you're right about this,

(15:03):
he's dying to tell you. Howcan we find out? Can you
ask him? That's what my dilemmais too. I don't know if I
should confront him about it or ifit would be to you know. I've
wondered, is it best to justmind my own business, take the hands
off approach? No, I'm takingthis personally. I feel like I raised
him to be better than someone thatcheats on his wife. You know,
you know what when you're how oldis he? He's thirty two. What

(15:24):
I would do is I would mindyour your business for a little while and
just keep my eye open. Youwould be surprised the things you will find
out just by looking where you weren'tlooking. You weren't looking for that phone.
It never crossed your mind. Youare now. You want to know
who that phone is and where itgoes, and who's calling. And watch
him now if you think he's cheating, Now that you're aware, you should
live for that. It will beeverywhere you'll know. You'll know in three

(15:45):
months of his different behavior, thedifferent way he talks, a different way
he eats, That he's going tothe gym more of it. Oh that's
kind of a good call. Doeshe go to the gym more often than
he used to? Maybe a littlebit, but I okay, I think
he could do for other reasons. But I will tell you this, The
signs of somebody cheating, boy orgirl are going to the gym more often,
dressing differently, and eating different foods. Those are the big ones,

(16:06):
because you know you're starting a differentlife with a different girl. You don't
even know. So here's my adviceto you. And you're gonna think it's
hard, but I'm not just tellyou what to do and what not to
do. Live your life now.You know that you're looking for something.
If it's happening, you'll find itagain. You weren't looking. If you're
looking now and something's going on,you will absolutely know and then then you
can confront him. But imagine ifhe's not doing it, think about the

(16:29):
fact that you didn't go and dothat to him. Mind your matters,
keep your place for a little while, and within three or four months you
will absolutely know what that guy isup to. And that is why you
call the life coach. Thank youso much. That's great advice. Thanks
for that my pleasure. If youwant to reach Danny Bonaducci Life Coach,
you can email Life Coach Atkizioka dotcom. The Danny Bonaducci and Sarah Morning
Show, I Don't Get It andthe Home of Classic Rock. Okay,

(16:51):
you got the job one No twopoint five two point fuzy Okay. You're
minutes away from a chance to wintickets to see Trevor Noah marched twenty fourth
at the Paramount Theater. It's timefor the Danny Banaducci and Sarah Question of
the Day, all about Danny Banaduccithis week. Over the last twelve years,
there have been a lot of amazingguests on the Danny Banaducci and Sarah
Morning Show. In light of yourretirement, Danny, we're reflecting. We

(17:14):
want to know who is your favoriteguest to join us on the show.
Answer the question the kazyok, Instagramx or Facebook. You can also say
Alexas on a talk back to kazyOk or just call eight hundred and two
five two one oh two five Danny, Do you have a favorite guest to
join us on the show? Butdo you remember when Dave Davies of the
Kinks called into this here radio show. Oh that was epic. Yeah,

(17:36):
but it's not my pick. Mypick is jelly Beans, always funny,
always on time. My answer isjelly Bean. That's nice, man.
It is super hard to narrow downbecause talking to Anthony Bourdain was pretty epic.
Yes it was. But also beingjoined by Tom Skerritt come on when
it's all about top Gun and he'slocal, that was pretty amazing. Yes,

(17:57):
it was. You're right about that. Well, who is your favorite
guest to join us on the showwith the Nanny banaducciin sera Question of the
Day on one of two point fivekz okay, the classic rock station.
Well, Danny, you may rememberfourteen years ago we worked for WISP in
Philadelphia, Yes we did. Wehad a great boss named Jeff Stolano,

(18:17):
lovely oh man. Yeah, welike to call him jeffy pants, which
was very inappropriate because what is thiswe like to call him jeffy pants?
I never called them man, Jessepans. You know he can hire and
fire people. I caught him Jeff, if not mister Satelano. Well,
and the reality was Jeff Stolano isthe one responsible for bringing you and I
together. Yes it is. Heknew me and he thought I think her
and Danny would be a great fit. Lo and behold, Jeff Sotilano is

(18:41):
responsible for me and you being together. And in light of your big announcement
this week about retiring, we thoughtit was only appropriate to get Jeff Stilano
on the phone. Well, didyou happen? He's like a king of
industry, man, I think he'swith us now, Jeffrey, there I'm
here, is I am responsible?I feel like I should start by apology
using to you, Sarah for thelast fourteen years because my fault, I

(19:04):
guess, nicely done, Jeff, your fault indeed, But you know,
things I've actually worked out. Okay, It's awesome to hear from you,
Jeff. Likewise, it's great tohear from you. It was super cool
to get the notes this morning fromyour producer. And you know, Danny
obviously, beyond sharing my condolences withSarah for a near score of her life

(19:26):
spent with you, I should startby, you know, congratulating you,
Danny. I mean, what anamazing career you've had in radio, What
an amazing life you've lived. AndI think that maybe a second or third
or fourth life you know, you'vegiven radio and radio has given you you.
Guys know, we've talked through theyears, and it's been great to

(19:49):
see the success that you have hadin Seattle after Philadelphia. You know,
Danny, congrats. I'm grateful forthe time we work together, grateful for
the memorines and the lessons learned. There may have been a few of those
along the way as well. Ahyeah, yeah, maybe, man,
Can I tell a quick jeff' suddleour story. Yes, so we're in

(20:11):
Florida for spring training. Yes,and uh so I'm there and they said,
you're gonna throw out the first pitch, mister Danny Bondi and I said,
well, well fine, And thenI turned to Jeff and I said,
listen, man, I've never throwa baseball with any good intention.
And he said, well, didn'tyou play catch with your dad? And
I said, of course, Idid not play catch with that maniac.
He said, come on, we'llgo to the Blake bleachers and I'll teach

(20:32):
you how to throw a ball. And Dan, if he didn't, the
story would be way fun here ifI threw it like a fifty, said,
but I did not. I threwit straight down the lines. To
this very day, I thank Jeff'ssoddo really well for making that a good
experience. That said, it's terrible, So Jeff, thank you very much
for that. I'm glad I gaveyou that memory. It's a ceremonial first
pitch to the Philly spring training game. The fun the extent of my contribution.

(20:52):
Did you throw any first pitches afterthat, Danny? Have there been
any since? Or did you callit quit like one and done. I
called it quick. It was sucha good way right down to the catch,
and the catcher didn't have to moveat all. So I said to
myself, never do that again, because it won't ever be that good again.
And thanks again to Jeff Sadilano.Jeff for there any standout memories for
you. While Danny and I wereat YSP and Philadelphia, Sure, I

(21:15):
mean there was shaking Bonaducci. Danny. Remember that was our quest for you
to shake a million hands in thecity of Philadelphia. Yeah, and I
caught some disease twice. I wasgonna say we were keeping the hand sanitizer
companies in business long before COVID.That was our contribution. I recall specifically

(21:37):
of Philadelphia Magazine to shoot that youhad at your row home in Old City,
so, you know, for theaudience in Seattle, our studios were
at fourth and Market Street, whichwas literally a block from both Independence Hall
and one direction and Benjamin Franklin's homein another direction. So it's this very

(22:00):
historic Revolutionary War era, you knowsection of Philadelphia. You had a beautiful
row home. Is this the onewhere he was hanging off the building?
Oh, I've got that picture rightnext to me. I was hanging off
a building in downtown Philadelphia. Yeah, you're a three story building, I
think maybe four. And yeah,I think you told the photographer, hey,
watch this, and before they knewwhat was happening. Not only were

(22:23):
you hanging off the building, youwere hanging up the building with one hand
because you were holding a cigarette inthe other hand. Well, I'll tell
you this. I quit smoking, man, I quit smoking and drinking in
the very same day. I amthe man. But he didn't quit hanging
off of buildings, Jack, No, I did not. I'm going to
hang up a building right after theshow. How about that? I mean
I should also like say hello.I know she's not on the show,

(22:45):
but I feel like a big partof our memories together was your your wonderful
wife, Amy, and you knowher being a big part of our lives
together. And I remember, youknow, her trying to talk you out
of things like that. I feellike routinely that that was often her role
and eventually it got good everything shesaid I should quit. And now now
look at I said, you andme together and Amy sitting right next to

(23:07):
me. That's awesome. No,what I remember Danny, more than anything
was just how hard you worked.Like, honestly, that's the biggest thing
I feel like I take away fromour time together is that, you know,
I think there are probably maybe somefolks who would think, you know,
you having had the opportunity to experiencecelebrity, obviously at a very young
age, and having you know,a storied radio career in markets like Chicago,

(23:30):
Los Angeles, Philadelphia, now Seattle, you know, Danned, if
you didn't work as hard as anybodyin that building, and if and if
you weren't as committed as anyone, and if you didn't challenge us in terms
of how could we make the stationbetter? How could we make the show
better? Yeah, challenging is aword. You could be challenging from time
to time. I feel like Ithink that that's a word I might use,

(23:53):
but that but look, you can'tteach that ethic and you can't teach
that commitment to winning. And Iadmire, I deeply admire that about your
Danny, because there are others, you know, might have chosen a different
path and said, listen, Ican get by on celebrity and name value
and I don't need to do thework. No, no, No,
I work. That's you know,And I'm not kidding here about like I

(24:14):
have no tell anything like that.I guess I have a little bit of
a calling for this, But Igot here. When I got into radio,
I had been unemployed for fourteen years. So that's one of the ways
if I work so hard, itis just because I always feel like they're
going to take this away from meagain. So that is why I work
so hard, and that is whyI'm very very grateful to you. Jeff.
Yeah, thank you, Jeff,Thank you, Jeff, Thank you,
guys, Danny, best of luck, enjoy Palm Springs. I'll talk

(24:37):
to you soon and I'll be listeningthis week. Congrats, you're the greatest
man. That's Jeff, Bye,Jeff. You guys. Oh man,
what an awesome memory. Really greatto talk with him. That's kind of
one of the fun things about thisweek, Danny, is we're going to
be celebrating your career and talking aboutsome of the highlights and hey, maybe
even some of the low lights. But it's all about are you going to
call my probation officer? Is thatwhat happ That's our next guest. I

(25:02):
was doing a show I forget whereit was just a long, long time
ago. And we're out in thefields talking to people, playing around,
and this guy comes out to meand says, you know, you and
I have something in common, andI said, well, what is it?
He said, in nineteen ninety threewe had the same probation officer,
but I just said, treat meetingyou. It's all about Danny's final week,
which his last show will be ona Friday, and of course please

(25:26):
