Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Hello, guys, welcome to Almost Famous.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
And the OG and the It's like DJ and the Bear.

Speaker 4 (00:11):
Hi.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
So we're here to talk about Jason Tartic and Kat
Stickler's breakup.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Yes. So I'm really bummed about this.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
I mean, obviously, I know we have to talk about
it because it is Bachelor Nation news, and I get it.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
But it's like, you know, only half Bachelor Nation news.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
That's true, it's only half news.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
What happened, Like when did it become like if there
was a Bachelor person involved, it was still a Bachelor
Nation couple because that's what they just like, shouldn't it
just separate off?

Speaker 4 (00:46):
Yeah, it should be like just a separate breaking news
for two personas in the year.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
If Jason had never dated Caitlin, this wouldn't really have
been news. But he really stayed in such a relevant
battle for so long.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
Oh that's very true. And you know it's funny. When
he first started dating Cat, I actually was like I
didn't know who she was, and I was like, wow,
she kind of resembles Caitlin a little like in my mind,
like I thought they kind of resembled one another. I
wouldn't say they looked alike, but they had like both
had these bubbly personalities, both bruts both.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
You know, maybe that's why I thought that.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
I don't know, but anyway, Yes, it's official, they are
broken up. I owe him a phone call, actually, and
I will do that.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
You're saying that you owe the phone call to say I'm.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Sorry that you to hear about your breakup.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Okay, So that means you guys are close enough for
you to make a phone call like that.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
I mean, I think we're I wouldn't say we're We're
not like you know, it's not like we're like besties
and we call each other every day. But whenever we
see each other at things or whenever we something happens,
it's relevant in the other person's life.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
We both reached out. I love his mom because you know,
he did the Today Show panel with me few times.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
That's how he and I and that's where he broke
that he and Caitlin were a couple actually, and uh
it was with with with Kathy Lean Hodah and so
you know, I feel like I was a part of
that journey a little bit there, and you know, not
so much a part of this one. I never met Kat,
but you know, I was rooting for them. But I
gotta think it's hard, you know, Like I was thinking

(02:21):
about this the other day. You know, I make like
I literally I've had the conversations with people and they'll go,
you know, are you into what we call online dating?

Speaker 3 (02:30):
And I'm like, no, I do deald fashion. I go
on a TV showing him not flowers.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
But also, like, you haven't been dating in quite some time.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
I haven't be dating in a very long time. Although
I'm trying to date my wife again to let her.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Know we should do that too.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Yeah, it's tough with kids at these ages, you know.
But uh yeah, So I was so hopeful for these two,
but I also realized how difficult it had to be
because they're both they both become uh you know Instagram
people write or or TikTok people or whatever.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
It's like, well, that's what she's known for, yeah, you know,
as being a social media She's an influencer who really
gardnered her own audience. You know, she didn't come from
the show.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Right, which is huge.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
I mean, that's her career and I've.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Got to believe that it's difficult, you know, Like like
I watched the video that she posted about their breakup,
and she looked like the last thing in the world
she wanted to talk about, you know, And I don't
know what that means other than I'm sure it's it's
it's not it's not brand new, right, because, like she said,
she's waited for a couple of the hurricanes that passed
by before she posted something, which I think is pretty

(03:37):
mindful and says a lot about her to to, you know,
not think that the world revolves around her.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
And she posts something in the middle of a you know,
natural disaster. Yeah, good for her on that.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
And then you know, and then you read what Jason wrote,
and it's like, you know, he he seems like he's
really lamenting the moment, and she almost I don't know,
I don't know what's going on. I don't know if
she looks like she's just sort of I mean, she
hasn't really much choice, right, She's a mom.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
She doesn't have time to like sit around the wallow.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
She's got to get back in the mix with her
child and be present and be you know, you can't
sit in the couch and eat you know, a couple
of cases of hoggindash for a month to get yourself
over a breakup. You got a kid that needs you,
so you're back in the mix. You know, I don't
know what are your thoughts. I mean, you're a woman,
you've gone through this kind of thing, and you know,

(04:27):
what do you think when you when you see both
sides of this?

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Yeah, so hers is obviously we feel more emotionally because
we see her and we hear her when she's talking
about it. She says it's mutual in the video. There's
two sides of this. You can say, oh, it's mutual
and like both people are going to be sad, or
you can try to spin it the juice her way,
I suppose, and be like, she seems quite upset. Doesn't

(04:52):
seem mutual. Yeah, And you know, I don't want to
make a lot of judgments there. We really don't know
at all what happened. Jason said in his statement that
he's a guy that like falls hard and falls fast,
and sometimes falling in love like that doesn't always work out.
I think he's like kind of referring to his relationship
with Caitlin in that sense too, just because he kind

(05:14):
of like makes it a general statement, right, But the
two of them have been together for I want to
say it was like nine months. I think they were
first spotted on vacation and December or January together. I
know Ben had dinner with him, and I think February
the two of them, and then they announced their relationship,
and we'll have the dates in front of me. But

(05:35):
I sometimes earning a spring, and so much of their
relationship was public, and there was so much love bombing
on social media where it's like just so many tiktoks
and reels of them showing how into each other they were,
and then all of a sudden it stops, and we

(05:56):
get that you have to do you know, it's kind
of you don't have to do it, but we get
that as two influencers, it's beneficial to show your love
like that if it's you know, you'd like to think true.
And yeah, I'm sure it was very very true. We
have no idea why they broke up, like I said,
and we probably will never will. Yeah, she wants to

(06:21):
reveal some things on her end. I don't think Jason
will ever say anything.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
I always say there's three sides to every story. There's
her side his side and the truth right, So.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Like, and that's I really believe that not just in breakups,
but in arguments and you know, whatever it might be.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Is like there's always there's always some great area where.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
We're all interpreting things a little bit differently than one another,
and you got to hope that somehow that just sort
of mixes in the middle and it's it's all good.
But you know, in a situation like this, I think,
you know, obviously she's she's very busy with her you know,
social media career.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
Like you said, this isn't a hobby for her. This
is this is she's really popular and really well known
and really established.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
And she's she's a mom, you know, and so I
would imagine as she strikes me as someone who would
be a really hands on parent. It seems, I mean,
as much as you can be, you know, when you're
not with your child all the time. So you know,
I would guess that you you know, your kid always
comes first, and you you would hope that that's you know,
the thing.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
So I wonder if that has anything to do with anything.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
That probably makes it harder for her. I'm sure that
she didn't want to one introduce Jason to her. I'm
sure he stayed. I don't I'm just assuming things, but
I'm sure he stayed at their house at some point.
And you know, she did put the relationship out there
so much with with having a child, and that's totally fine.

(07:45):
But I'm just saying that, like I think that she
probably was, like I thought that this would have more longevity,
yeah than yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Yeah, because you know they always say that, like people
say say, like I didn't introduce them to my kids
for six months, you know, I was like, Okay, maybe
we're at that point or something, you know, yeah, yeah,
thank you, right.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
I feel for her on that, and especially since she's
probably that's what she's probably getting in the comments like
why did you you know, why did you allow your
daughter to be so involved in that relationship. So that's
what sucks for her, But and it sucks just in
general that like you have to deal with something like
that when you do have a career like she does.
But you know, then you also have to think about

(08:25):
the benefits of a career like we all have. And
it's just like it's the best job in the entire world,
but does come with its downsides, and that being one
of them.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Yeah, yeah, there's definitely a downside to it.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Well, I guess you're right, we're probably never gonna know.
I mean, maybe it is am a call amongst both
of them, and you know, maybe you know, who knows,
Maybe there's a light at the end of the tunnel
at some point for them as well.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
You never, no, I guess. But doesn't seem like her
right now if you're reading.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Her message as I don't know her personally at all,
and you know I've only seen Jason on a occasion. Yeah,
I still feel like I can talk about Jason's future romances,
more so because he's part of Bachelor Nation. So I'm
not even going to dabble with her. But what what
do you see is next for Jason? Do you think

(09:23):
he's going to be single for a while or do
you think that he's gonna date somebody else in the
public eye? He gonna date somebody bribe it, you.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
Know, I will say this so having been someone who
dated publicly and got married publicly and then divorced publicly,
you know, the hardest thing is is something like this,
you know, like I remember going into the grocery store
and I'm sitting there all heartbroken and I walk in
and you know, and my ex wife and I are
on the cover of you know, us Weekly, and you know, with.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
A rip down the Meddle, and I'm just like, oh geez,
you know.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
And I made the conscious choice after that that I
was like, you know, even if I do date someone
in the public eye, which I did, I'm like, I'm
not gonna be public about it, you know, And so
I'm gonna I'm gonna try and keep something to myself
for a little while. And I would say, you know,
you know, for for Jason in particular, like you said,
I don't know cats, so I won't speak to that,
but Jason in particular, I do know him, and he's

(10:21):
gone through too.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
Pretty public now, you know, breakups, and you know, maybe
maybe it is.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
Time to try and not be so out there with
it and see if that helps, you know, or maybe
you know, And you definitely have every right to say that, right,
you definitely have.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
Every right to go, I'm gonna take my time on
this next one.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
And I was gonna, you know, I'm gonna wait before
I put it out there because I don't want people commenting.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
Even if that's why you're not doing it. It's just
to keep you know.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
Everybody at home, just to sort of keep their mouths
shut for a little bit and give me a chance
to have a relationship that develops at a normal pace
as opposed to a highly accelerated pace, which I think
that's what social media does.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
It takes at next level really fast. You know. So
I don't know that that would my thoughts.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Well, the next thing we can hopefully get is an
answer from one of them at some point. I'm sure
Jason will come on the podcast, you know, when this
is less relevant news, but always interested to know what
happens in relationships. You know. I've because I'm a noseybody,
and you know, this podcast, while we try to keep
it classy, it really is a gossip podcast. And that
is fine.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
Yeah, we do try to keep it classy San Diego,
but we often Yeah, Well, let me ask you this.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
Are you are you prepared to break your news here
on our podcast of what you did last night?

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Oh that I met justin Timberlake last night? What guys?
I posted the video on Instagram. You can see the
whole one minute in fifteen second interaction. I think that's
officially meeting somebody, and thank you to everybody who took
video of his interaction. I can't believe that I was
just like talking to him from the stage. It was

(11:58):
just the most unreal moment of my life, A true
fangirl's dream come true.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Did he know who you were? Or did he?

Speaker 2 (12:06):
I always used to say, like, you know, I don't
know how I feel about meeting your like idols.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Heroes.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Yeah, heroes is like a strong word, you know. I
wouldn't call it just a hero, but like definitely an idol,
And it was. It was. It was everything I could
have imagined and hopeful.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
I love that so good.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
I can watch the video over and over again. But
to be honest, I was like scared to watch the
video once I left the arena because I was like,
what if I'm not cool? What if it's not as
good as I thought it was in real life? And
it was. It came across on video wonderfully as well.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Was it a setup moment or was it just a
total organic moment?

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Total organic moment. My friend who I went with wrote
a sign that said I delivered her baby on your
birthday because I went with my midwife. Oh my gosh,
and Dawson was born on Justin's birthday, and I kind
of knew that that sign that we had second row
seats might garner a little attention from him. All right, Well,

(13:05):
now my kid, who was born on Justin Tipla's birthday,
is yelling at me to get him another piece of pizza,
so I guess I'll have to.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Go that mom duty calls. All right, we have a
great night. Thanks everybody for listening to Almost Famous and
the OG. We've had a good time Almost to Joe G.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
You know you should fill in for Ben whenever we need,
and we'll just keep calling it that. I love it.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
I love it too. Let's do it.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Bye bye.
