Hope Francis has died. The Vatican announced the death of
the Pontiff early today at the age of eighty eight.
Kiir Simmons reports the passing of the Pope came a
day after he made a surprise Easter Sunday appearance from
the balcony of Saint Peter's Basilica. This just weeks after
leaving the hospital.

was his final day of work. His final hours were
spent giving to people and trying to send the message
that he has been trying to send through his entire papacy.

Hearing in his wheelchair, Francis waved and gave the crowd

told the Pope he prayed for him every day. Ben

said the Pope Francis always cited with the most vulnerable
and the most fragile. I'm Michael Cassner, President Trump's border czar,
says the administration followed the law when it deported a
man living in Maryland to El Salvador, Mark Mayfield with Moore.

In an interview with ABC's This Week, Tom Homan defended
the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, repeating allegations that he's
a gang member.

And we have followed the constitution, We have followed law.
I am confident that everything we've done has followed law,
is within the constitutional constricts absolutely well.

We said the administration was allowed to deport Abrego Garcia
under the Alien Enemies Act, even though the administration admitted
in court he was deported due to an administrative error.
Homan went on to criticize US Senator Chris van Holland
for going to El Salvador to meet Abrego Garcia, calling
the deported man a terrorist.

The University of Massachusetts student has been arrested for allegedly
fire bombing at Tesla dealership. More from Jim Forbes.

The Department of Justice said nineteen year old Owen McIntyre
was arrested on the UMass Boston campus McIntyre has been
charged with unlawful possession of an unregistered destructive device and
malicious damage by fire of any property used in interstate commerce.
A federal criminal complaint says McIntyre was in his hometown

of Kansas City for spring break when he allegedly set
the dealership on fire.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
The American Civil Liberties Union is suing the Trump administration
over its targeting of international students. More from Chris Carraggio.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
The lawsuit was filed after more than eleven hundred students
from one hundred and seventy universities had their legal statuses revoked.
The ACLU says these students now face detention, deportation, and
severe financial or academic hardship. They added, the unilateral and
unlawful terminations have severely hurt law abiding students who were
simply trying to obtain an education in the US.
