Slash promos.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
This is a podcast call twenty five whists Stuck in
Puno and the Awe Whizz. So yeah, it's too bad,
but what did you expect?

Speaker 1 (01:41):
It's a podcast called twenty five.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Whistles twenty wine.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Welcome, Eddie, get it. It's a bad day for everybody
except for Reddy, who had a.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
No good, no bad, not bad man. Wait to buy a.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Week exactly, chilled arkansall offs. We suck, Casey is not
here today, Jets suck. What a game that was? I mean,
I didn't watch anything. Aaron Rodgers presser after because I
fell asleep. He say anything, he who do? He blamed
this time earth.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
He didn't get DeVante Fastinus.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Oh my god, is that what he said?

Speaker 3 (02:15):
No, I'm just kidding.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
They still have a favorable schedule, but man, they're seasonless.
That's terrible. That's done. I don't think it's done. Pull
up a schedule because we'll go over in just a second.
I do not think it's done. But I'm glad everybody's here.
We got a lot to talk about. I have a
new list of favorite teams in college football.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Oh thank you.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
It's still Arkansas number one by far, will always be.
But LSU just showed up and outclassed us. They did.
We threw a bad interception, but it wasn't even interception.
He threw the past. It got blocked, and then they
got caught it and ran it in and it was over.
They out their quarterback hobbled the victory. I was really

(02:54):
hoping we could pull it. Was fun being relevant for
a week. Guy, I'm gonna be honest with the other fun.
It really was fun being relevant for a week.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
I saw on x Twitter. Nobody calls it that whatever?
H that Uh Pittman was trending and I was like,
oh no, this is on Sunday toom like this is it,
And apparently it wasn't. There was just a bunch of
memes I guess they made about him, but I thought
they fired him. No, the LSU win was enough to
get him through the season.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Tennessee, Tennessee.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Excuse me because the LS yellow? I think yellow, but
LSU had like cool white. You know they have yellow.
I'm not thinking of Green Bay. Do they both have
all whites?

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Green Bay had all whites. Whites, yes, d right, yeah,
think so too.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
They went white Tiger, I think so too.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Pretty cool, cool, so I think. And again this is
not an Arkansas podcast. I think we play Mississippi State.
If we lose that game, it's probably over for him.
But we beat Texas. He has a ten year contract.
It's one of those type I got you, but we
lost and that sucked. So I'd had a great weekend
betting though, Oh yeah, I saw something semmary weekend betting

(03:55):
and I don't even care to jinx it anymore because
I deserve to lose now. It's been so good. I
deserve to lose. Punish me, punish me betting gods because
it's been too good.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Don't do that. They will.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
It's great. I deserve it. I deserve every bit of it.
How do we do on nur parlay? Because I don't know.
We all picked a team.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Yeah, yeah, oh yeah, what happened?

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (04:12):
So I picked Miami minus four and a half. They
won by seven.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Boom.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Eddie picked Missouri minus four.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
They were down, they come back.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
They won by four.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Oh so push was a push? Yeah. Their quarterback goes
to the hospital. He went to the hospital in the
middle of the game, really, and then went and warmed
up in like the practice facility, came back and won
the game. It's crazy.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Yes, I didn't even see that part of it.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Who did I have?

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Yeah, Arkansas plus.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Put them in?

Speaker 2 (04:36):
You picked Arkansas.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
I don't know. I'm stupid. I hate me. Okay, So
here are my other teams. These are my secondary favorite
teams for the year. Number one Oregon for sure.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
We were just there.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Not even that because we can reveal now, we can
only reveal a little bit because it's going to continue.
So what we couldn't reveal until it happened was they
have an entire.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Uh strategy hmm.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
They have an entire it's not even a formation, but
like a set. When they hold a card up of
my head on it.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Yeah, because that's not necessarily a.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
It's not a play lay. No, it's not a play,
but they have an entire.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
It means something.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Yes, and we have been told and we told them back.
We will not reveal too much about it because they're
going to continue to use it, but I will post
it on my social media today. For three games they've
been holding up at my head as something a signal
to the offense. And how we know that it is

(05:40):
real and they're not just holding up a dummy sign
is We're like, oh cool, send us to sign back,
get coach to sign will put in the studio and
they We're like, no, we need it because we're using it.
That's incredible, awesome, so cool.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Have you seen it on TV?

Speaker 1 (05:54):
I've seen No, not on TV. I haven't. Some listeners
have been at the game and taking pictures from a
far other than holding it out. Coach Landing text me
yesterday and he texted me the video and a picture
in the middle of the game. I didn't watch the game.
It was on Thursday night late this Friday night.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Yeah, Friday night. I know, it feels like Thursday night.
I don't even know A long time ago.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
I don't even know. But yeah, they're using my head,
not as a play call, not as a formation communication,
but they are communicating something that's fair. I can say
all that, right. Yeah, so because no team has done that,
not even my own Arkansas team, they ever used my
head to like call something. Oregon is my number one
team nice at my secondaries. My number two favorite team

(06:37):
is Indiana. The coach well, they're red, and I can like,
I can. I like to Arkansas, okay, And I've like
Signetti for I've been telling you guys about him for
weeks and weeks at this point, he's awesome. Googled. He's
like Toby Keith, Google me, and all I do is win.
And they played Nebraska, and now they hadn't played really
any big games up until this week, and so it
was like, oh, they're gonna get drummed. They they won

(06:59):
by fifty.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
They've been winning by a lot.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Yeah, but they haven't played anybody.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
I know. But even when other teams don't play anyone,
they don't beat them by that much.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
But the big deal was they're finally playing a defense
and cool.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
And Nebraska is a good team.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Yeah cool, and they were not a good team this week.
Indiana was awesome and they're red. I like that. I'm
drawing to red things that work because that's my favorite color.
So we got Oregon at one, Indiana two, and at
number three, I got it. Give it Army, Vandy, Oh,

(07:32):
vander built because they got to begin this week, I
believe is this week that Texas.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Yeah Texas in Nash Bill that's finny.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
Oh, Mikekid can try to go to that. I'm going Yeah.
So Vandy's my third favorite team of my secondary tier
of teams that I'm looking at and rooting for glad
to see. Let's just say, when they hold that sign
of me at Oregon, it means we're number one, and
they probably wouldn't be number one without that sign, right,
But that's what we couldn't talk about yet. I'm gonna
put up some a picture of it on my Instagram

(08:04):
stuff so you can see it. But it's pretty funny.
And I thought they would send the sign right over
because I figured they were just dummy using it and
Kevin's like, Kevin's like, please don't they've asked you not
talk about what it's used for and wait till the
season's over.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Can you imagine in the national team.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Reche that'd be awesome, that'd be great.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
It's pretty cool, pretty cool. Uh yeah, glad everybody's here.
We played pickleball for two and a half hours yesterday.
Are your feet your ankle sore?

Speaker 3 (08:28):
My ankles? My feet my like groin?

Speaker 1 (08:31):
Yeah, it's a lot of cut jump, cut jump. But
we played for two and a half hours. So it
was me and Kevin and George Burge and Gator and
it was kind of a couple hours before anything. I
was like, hey, weather, it was awesome. Come over. I
got a pick a ball court. And so they came
over and Kevin got Kevin got pretty good pretty quick,
Like the first time ever was like last week. And

(08:54):
then Kevin like started to be his own player and
like got to be pretty good.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Yeah, I'm coming for you, guys. You I'm looking at you.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
You don't have to come for me. Man, you'll beat me,
no problem, no problem.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Not there's no part in you that's like, bring it.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
I'm not there yet. Like if he's only played once, yeah,
it's only a second time ever no, I know I
played three times.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
You said you're not there yet. He's not even to
where you are.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
But he's already talking crap and he wants to fight me.
I I'm not ready to fight. No one said fight
well on the court pickle style.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
No you're not. You're not touching pickles. Pickle fight. He
wanted to play you.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Yeah, see, I'm not ready to He's not.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
He's not a dog because you just like brought up
a little competition. I know he's like, you got no
dog in you.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
I got a dog once. I feel like I'm getting better.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
You got kiddie.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
I beat I beat you playing what three? We went to?

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Three? Those games are not games. It's a warm up game.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Whoa buddy? You said let's play.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
The three because those are all those are warm ups.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Yeah, and I beat you at that three?

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Okay, but you don't feel like you've gotten better at all?

Speaker 2 (09:54):
A little bit. But I'm not there yet.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
I saw it.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
What is there?

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Also?

Speaker 2 (09:57):
I need to win a game.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
You can never count read you tell Eddie you can't
count a three or as a win.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
No, No, that's warm up man, You're just trying to You're.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Just trying to warm up by actually running around, and
it's like we're gonna play three years. They never count
as games. If you play a five or it starts
to count as like a game, that would count.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
So two more points I could have beat you.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Yeah, because three years are never games. Those are literally
only warm up points.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
And you said like, hey, let's play two three, that's
the game. If you said hey, let's play to one,
that's the game.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Okay, going to like seven or eleven is a seven
or elevens? Eleven's like the normal game. A seven is
like a quicker if you have people playing around. Three
is like you could do that just like two double
faulting in the Yeah, yeah, yeah, And that was pretty
much we got no dog in you. Huh No I do.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
I'm just like I said, like, I need time to
get better. And then because he's an athlete, I'm not
an athlete. I'm like the dude that was born without
legs and I gotta learn how to walk first, and
then we'll play.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Oh that's you guys making it quite the comparison, the
pretty dramatic. But I was an athlete, but I would Okay,
you don't.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
I'll take that.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
You don't have the dog in them.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Yeah, I'll take Oh no, they'll put the will be
a time when I played the pickle.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Both of you guys to play the pickle. You won't
beat my pickle.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
You won't. You won't beat me like a real game
to eleven. You will never be never never.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
See if you said that to me. Never Like I'm ready, like,
i'll play you. You will, okay, you can play. You
will never beat me to eleven. I will beat you
one day. I will beat you to eleven. Dude.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Him and George had an epic game.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Mister George, who knew was austin Texas Westwood Hide uh
four A city champion tennis player.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Of course he was, and he played golf.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Of course he was. They played golf in Texas. He's like,
it was just four A and I'm like, dude, I
went to one A school and I got no. I
had no titles.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
Now a guy that comes from California, we don't have
the a's. Is it the higher the better?

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Yeah, single is the highest.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
And Arkansas five A was the highest you could get to.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Oh right, five A two in Texas.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Yeah, so George was four A champion.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
So they're a little smaller school.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
That's why it meant like no, no, but big but
still foury's are big yeah, not a one a yeah,
not a two or three A four A is so Yeah,
George is a really good tennis player.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
And yeah George George competes, yeah, which I'm we played
golf with him, but he's so much better than us.
He never has to like push and compete. By the way,
George Burge sings a song I got my mind on
you and got you on my.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Mind and then he's got she only listens to cowboys songs.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
Whatever it is.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
That song is a jam.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
It is a jam. But yeah, he George has the
dog in him.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
Yeah, he was yelling at me yesterday on the same
team live on the same team yet like rush rush, because.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
We played doubles a bunch and then we played some
singles at the end, and I played Kevin in the
first singles match because nobody wanted to play singles, and
Kevin's a got play because Key's had a little dog.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
In himyah, because he's an athlete.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
And Kevin moved really well. I'm better pick aball player now,
but Kevin's an athlete for sure.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
So did anyone beat you yesterday.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
No, and then George was like, fine, I'll play. I
was it singles, yeah, and George is like, okay, he's
probably beat down a little bit from that match.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
We already played like a half hour of doubles forty
five minutes.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
And then then singles and then I beat George like
five to two or five to three, and then Gator
played and I put him away he's old, and then uh,
I play. Then we went back to doubles, went back
to doubles. Yeah, yeah, it's finne wep up for two
and a half hours.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Some of the video and like the way you guys
hit the ball like you and George. That was the video,
right you and George. I mean the way you guys
hit like is next level hitting, Like I just try
to get it over the net. You guys are Wow.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
George knows what he's doing, like even when it's offhand,
you know what I mean? Yeah, back like tennis players. Yeah,
they like it just looks smooth and I'm over here like.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
Yeah, I'm just trying to get it over the net.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
George's strength is knowing how to like hit backhands with
slice on the ball. Yeah, what's my strength?

Speaker 3 (13:43):
No, curve, hard hustle, just hustle, or or placement. You're
good with placement. You are good at places like you
know where you want to go when you go with it,
whether it's my chest or in the back corner.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Oh do I put it my body bag, Kevin one.
I tried a couple of times. I was like, at
this his chest because you've said that, You're like, if
I put around the middle, they don't know what to
do with it.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
No, no, I body no, not even that bodybag. You
hit them in the body with the ball really yeah, yeah, yeah,
well you can't. I mean it's a whiffle ball. It
really hurt, but it's like you hit them with it's
it's like the most embarrassing thing and putball. Yeah, a
couple of things. There's people in the comments. I posted
a video. One is a little experiment because it's not
like the video was just Kevin shooting it with my phone.
And sometimes ILL post content. I'm like, this is really
good content. It gets like eighty thousand views, and sometimes

(14:21):
I post up garbage and it gets like five hundred thousand, right,
and so was only Happenson pick a wall video just
shot from my phone.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
It was going crazy really the one that you send
me yeah wow, yeah, I mean, do you guys look impressed?

Speaker 1 (14:32):
You know, that's not why. It's just Instagram just takes
certain things and just runs with it. And so I'm
just gonna start posting crap up there now.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
No, but then it won't work. It's when you really
don't expect it.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
It doesn't know what I expect. The universe is like
Instagram does not know what I expect. I know you
think that, you know they're smarter than you think. Man,
there are listeners in the comments that are like, you
should move your foot here, you should do this, you
could shut up. Yeah, I will be. I will bet
a thousand bucks against anybody in my car, not not
from this moment on, anybody that's pre that's been like

(15:05):
gout your old boat. I'll bet a thousand bucks. I'll
beat you. You put the money up to though it
doesn't count after work is somebody smart better than me
will hear this and go put a comment. But if
it's prior to this and you want to play and
put your own money up, I'm happy to. Because you
guys are idiots. It's like when you post anything with golf, like, oh,
you made you swing. You are such a great commentator
from the couch. There was another guy who was like,

(15:27):
what a loser's sport? Or like, play a real sport.
I went a zoomed on this page. First of all,
his account is protected private. Second, leagues weren't a lanyard
in his picture. Only losers were lanyards and pictures. Who
works at office job? Yeah, no, it's not even off.
He's like, he's like at a convention and he posted
a picture from his convention. Business guy.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
I saw you comment somebody your mom's something.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Yeah, all my comments and your mom's now they that's
old school. That someone was like, that's what it was.
It was like play a real sport. And I was like,
your mom's a real sport. Oh my god. And it's
also funny that like Gator and George they got there
at different times yesterday and Gator gets there's like, man,

(16:10):
this court looks so good. We have a new court
built the house. And I was like, thanks forgetting that.
Some people actually think Eddie and I built at court
And he's like, I can't believe like the job, and
I was like, oh, do you thought we'd bought no, dude,
he told him that we didn't.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Yeh.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Then Gator showed it, shows up and gets on and
comes in. He goes, man, you guys a great job
of this court. And I keep thinking, everbody's kidding, and
I was like, dude, we didn't build this court.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
It's like amazing.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
It's like a real life we hired real Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
So we played for two and a half hours and
it was It was awesome, wasn't.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
Yeah, it was a great time. The weather was just phenomenal.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Asked both of these knucklehead to come. Read's like one
of my sinuses his sore?

Speaker 2 (16:46):
Oh man, he's hangy bang's.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Hangy bang was sweat out, man, I don't feel And
Eddie was like, I have eleven kids practice on Sundays, man,
which is stupid.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
Why have practices on football Sunday?

Speaker 5 (16:59):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Yeah, that's true, except that's the day that people aren't
doing anything right, you know. There's also that. Okay, let's
do tittle tattle. And then we got some more stuff
talk about let's go now stupid his name ever?

Speaker 3 (17:17):
The tittle tattle, just talking about it. Pick a ball
all the weekend. So if you could play against anybody
in the world, who would it be.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
I guess the question is do I want to play somebody?
I mean I would play somebody that I would David
Letterman just to talk, just to hang out and men fun,
although I'm afraid he may be a little too old now,
but I would still just use that as an example. Okay,
you can force anybody to come to pick a ball
with you, Okay, David Letterman and he sucks, and he's
like seventy yeah, and I'm like, who grees, Let's just talk, dude.
But if it's if it's also like play and compete,

(17:52):
maybe like Tom Brady, because I feel like or Michael Jordan,
like their goat athletes, they can probably still move around
a little bit. Brady more than Jordan obviously, still I
would think Brady more than Jordan. But also and you
could talk and hang out, but you can still probably
get in a good game, like that's fun. So yeah,

(18:15):
I'll probably go Brady. If if they're like pick anybody
and they have to come play and pick a ball
and they have to be with you for an hour
and a half, that'd be awesome. That'd be Brady. If
it's tennis, tennis players. I mean it probably Rodic, but
I could play with him at any time.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
Sure.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
He even tweeted me after I posted the video and
he was like, oh, you guys look pretty good. And
then I replied, I quote replied him because he was
messing with us on Twitter, and I was like, hey,
I do virtual lessons. If you knew to the game,
I could tinue.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
I saw Logan Ryan commented on the Instagram too.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Yeah, Logan Ryan's a big pickball player.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
Has wanted a court as well, went yeah, yeah, he
had to court his house.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
Yeah, all right? Next up, all right?

Speaker 3 (18:51):
After putting up fifty six on Nebraska this weekend, is
Indiana a real threat in the Big Ten?

Speaker 1 (18:56):
Which man pulling up their schedule? Please? They are seven
and zero. They have one in every game by fourteen points.
And we had talked about how they really hadn't played
anyone to this point that would be considered a team
that you would go, oh, they beat them. Now they're legit.
They finally had that with Nebraska. I know they have
to play and I have I know that play Ohio

(19:16):
State still, but can you read me a week to week?

Speaker 3 (19:18):
Yeah, week to week here versus Washington?

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Okay, we got another little test there. Washington's pretty good.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
Go ahead at Michigan State.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Okay, at Michigan State's fine. I mean playing Michigan or
Michigan State, even when they're bad, is still the test
because it's not Jmu. I mean he played JAMU where
he came from. He's been playing some of those schools.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
Is that Sjames Madison?

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Yeah, but still Michigan. What's Michigan State's record? They went
two games, three games, but it doesn't matter. They're still
in Michigan State. Four and three, Okay, they still have athletes.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
Go ahead, and then Michigan versus Michigan at home.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
That will still be a really cool even though they're
not the old Michigan that's that will still be a
good test.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
Go ahead at Ohio State.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
They win that one. So do I think that they
will run No. I think they probably have two losses
in that mix whatever that and think Ohio State's probably
a loss. I just don't think they have the horses
to keep up even if they out scheme, outplay or
I don't think they actually have the athletes to keep
up there. And then they'll probably drop one of the
Michigan Michigan State w Washington games. Mostly yeah, because that's

(20:18):
just three really three moderately to pretty good teams and
you played three of them. Odds are you're gonna get
pushed in one or two. So I think they probably
lose two of the four. But who cares. That's awesome.
They ranked first in the Big ten. I know it
isn't that crazy.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
Everyone talking about Oregon, Wihio State and ls in Indiana
seven weeks in.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
But again they haven't played I know, you know, and.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
They got Purdue to end the season, but that to win,
I would think, so, yeah, all right, what else NFL
here after handing the Vikings their first loss of the season,
or the line is the best team in the NFC.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
That's a great game. I mean it was the game
of the day, right, awesome? Yeah, I mean score last drive,
score they want to field goal? Right, Yeah, that's a
really good game.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
Montgomery fumbled and the Vikings picked it up and then
turned it.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Yeah. Yeah, that was a really good game by two
really good teams. I would compare that to the Oregon
Ohio State game where that happened, and I'm like, oh,
if they played it again, I don't know that I
would absolutely deem won the absolute favorite. So they're both
really good and that can probably probably be the NFC championship.
It'd be fun, That would be fun. I hate the
eight and Hutchins out, but it's pretty cool, pretty cool.

(21:28):
The Vikings are good, pretty cool. The Lions are good.
I mean they were good last year, so now it's
not so new that the Terrible Lions are good. But
those are teams that usually aren't that good. It's pretty
fun to watch them both be good. You know, you
have the Commanders in the NFC. They want they want,
but they basically played the Indiana JV.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Team and Jade and Daniels didn't play. They got hurt
in the first first quarter, but he how how SIGNI
it's not like a Brown situation, right, No, I don't
think so.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
I don't think more come out but yet.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
And also they were playing garbage, so when you're playing garbage,
you can be a little hurt, a little quicker. Yeah,
I don't know that's the case. I don't know what
his injury is and who do they have next week?
Do we know? The Commanders? But also the Bucks, the Packers,
good win for them, they needed that went over the
Texans to like exclaim we are one of the top
tier teams.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
Texans blew that Commanders play the Bears.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
Yeah, who's backup over there?

Speaker 3 (22:23):
Be a tough one over there.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Who came in?

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Two last names?

Speaker 1 (22:28):
Valdean Scantling.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
No, no, I've never heard of the guy before.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Clyde Hilaire, Marcus Mariota.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
No, oh was it Marcus Mariutha.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
It has as their depth charts drift.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
Okay, it was Mariota Marioda. Yeah, Eagles, which did win.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
They had to win that game. Yeah, forty nine Ers.
But Ayuke's out. Yeah, I don't know, like he towards.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
A cl right, that's what they're saying is likely hasn't
come out yet.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
But yeah, I've still go on lines and lines and
vikings and say Donald's for real And now they have
a decision to make.

Speaker 3 (23:03):
The vikings about the future.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Yeah, because I don't think he's gonna play a few
games be pretty good, and you know, I don't think
he's gonna flaco him and that's no disrespect to Flaccus
flight goes old, but play a few games, probably can't
run a whole season at that level. Yeah, I think
Sam Donald's he's like twenty seven. Yeah, like he's still.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
Young, signed like a three, like a Baker deal. But
then you have a quarterback you just drafted in the
first round. That's a great problem to have, though, I
guess if you have to have a problem.

Speaker 3 (23:31):
Yeah, I'll tak a great problem that problem.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
Yeah, that's Patriots bad night. Actually, Drake made the I
will say, Drake through two touchdowns. Yeah, dude, he slings it. Dude. Yes,
he just chunks and your offensive line is terrible, but
receivers is made through no interceptions. I don't think. I
don't know. Yeah, he looked great. I would have been
happy with you that game because you lost and you
saw growth in your quarterback. That's awesome exactly. It felt

(23:56):
like a win.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Internally, I was like, you know what, we won this game,
you wont win the season.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
And you stay at top of the draft board. Exactly.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
Yeah, go ahead, last one. Despite having Patrick Mahomes at QB.
Do you think the Chiefs defense is the main reason
they're still undefeated.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
It's a massive part of it, and Mahomes won't lose games, right,
He does a lot of the magician stuff when he
needs to do the magician stuff. But you're not seeing
him do a lot of the magician stuff now because
they don't need to because that will actually cause them
to lose games. Like he can do that when they
need to win games, but you don't see him doing
a lot of the overhead watch this ticking my butt
come out of my mouth, and doesn't need to do
that because the defense is so good. Uh they picked

(24:33):
off yeah three times. Mahomes has four under passing yard,
six touchdowns, eight interceptions on the season, So he's just
a mediocre quarterback. But I don't think he's a mediocre quarterback.
I think he's playing the game he needs to play
so they can win games and they are still undefeated.
That it's so cool that he's he knows the kind

(24:53):
of quarterback he needs to be. And I think that
would drive me a bit crazy if it's like I'm
really good and I can do extra stuff, but they
don't need me to do extra stuf. If of me
doing extra stuff might actually cost us games. So I'm
going to just be an average quarterback because that's all
we need in order to win the game. And if
you do need me to do the whole sticking to
my buck in my mouth. I will do that. So
defense just is allowing just over fourteen fifteen sixteen points

(25:15):
a game.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
Yeah, so I legit. They are legit the defense. I
mean the team obviously, but yeah, the defense is legit.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
It's awesome. Good for them. Okay, I think that's it.
That's tittle tattle. Stupid, the tittle tattle. I mentioned our
parlay last, so Miami, I can't pick Arkansas. I always
say that, like, I'm not gonna pick them, so stupid.
What we can do, though, is we can walk through
some of the DraftKings pick six. So download the Draft

(25:42):
Kings Pick six app and use the code Bobby Sports,
and you're gonna love what you're gonna get. But it's
the thing where you pick a player and pick under
or over the stat line. I'll walk you through some
stat lines. You tell me how you feel. Because we've
got a good game tonight, Ravens and Bucks Baker Mayfield
more or less than two hundred and fifty seven passing yards, haven't.
I'll go first. I'm gonna go more because I think
they'll need it.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
I think the Ravens offense is so dynamic. I think
he's gonna have to throw a lot to keep up.

Speaker 3 (26:10):
So yeah, I'm gonna go forty seven seven Yeah, Baker
or over, Yeah, I'm gonna go one.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
Yeah, both of you guys went over. I'm gonna go under.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
You really showed us, Eddie perfect.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
How I do it?

Speaker 1 (26:21):
Lamar Jackson more or less than fifty two yards rushing? Well,
the quarterback rushing thing is such a crapshoot.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
It is because you'll pick a.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
Quarterback that runs a lot eleven yards over under and
he gets one yard.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
But not with Lamar. I feel like he runs a lot.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
Fifty two is a lot.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Fifty two is a lot.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
It is a lot.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
That's a lot.

Speaker 3 (26:39):
Like, that's a decent amount for running back.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
I want to go less.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
I'm gonna go more.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
I'm gonna go more to Chris Godwin low key MVP
of that team. Yeah, more or less than seventy three
receiving yards. I go more because if there's one person
I believe on the team, it's Chris Godwin.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
I'll go under.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
How many tours like ACL two?

Speaker 3 (26:58):
Yeah at Penn State.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
No. And the end of this was that in the NFL.
Oh yeah, I don't remember that actually for a hamstring?
Oh yes, one of those, I get all my my
leg muscles mixed up.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
They're all the same. Mike Evans out.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
No, he's playing.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Oh but he did get hurt last week. But he's playing.
I felt bad for Mike Williams Jets. Oh yeah, did
he play like there was a fourth down? He caught
the pass, it was like fourth and four, but he didn't.
He didn't sho the practice for a couple of days
last week. Aaron Rodgers couchbag. Aaron Rodgers calls him out.

(27:31):
I hope they traded him. A Aron Rodgers douchebag. I
root for him. He's a douchebag.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
Stop rooting for him.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
I know, I try. But then last night there was
a point where I was hoping he didn't get it.
First time I ever had that happen.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
Yeah, did you think much of it when he it
wasn't a big deal, I guess. But when he threw
the challenge flag, when the coach did you see that
the coach like threw it, and then they scored the
two point conversion or the touchdown was one of the
two and then Aaron like came up field, he grabbed
the flag like threw He's like hit the crap out of.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
Here, douchebag, because we scored it anyway.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
We scored exactly. I download the new Draft King's Pick
six app used the code Bobby Sports gambling problem called

Limbit time offer. See terms at Pick six dot DraftKings

over and talk to Brandon Marcello, who is my favorite
sports writer, college sports writer in all football. He's how
I found out that Oklahoma fired their offensive coordinator this morning.
B Marcello on Twitter? Or is that he calls it X?

Speaker 2 (28:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (28:36):
Nobody calls it or Twitter unless you're trying too hard.
Brandon Marcelo, go follow them, big fans of them. Here
we go on with Brandon Marcelo, who I just read
your article today. I did not know that Seth Latroll
got fired at Oklahoma. That is how breaking is that
Sunday night not too surprising.

Speaker 5 (28:55):
But we're getting into the bloody season, a lot of
coaches losing their jobs.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
I guess being someone that has a relationship with well
people to have a relationship with Oklahoma, I mean he
had to church, my wife's family and stuff. They went
to North Texas head coach, right is where he came from.

Speaker 5 (29:13):
Yeah, very much so yep.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
And so is it really his fault? I mean they
got two freshman quarterback? Is it Seth or Charles fault?
Or did he have to just be the guy that fell?

Speaker 5 (29:22):
He had to be the guy that fell on the sword,
so to speak. I also think that they didn't prepare
themselves well enough as far as just building the staff
out there when Jeff Levy left as EOC there to
go be the head coach of Mississippi State. They have
an offensive staff that's not really full of you know,
guys that can scheme, so to speak. Other than Seth,

(29:43):
they don't really have kind of a war room to
get in in there to kind of bounce ideas off
each other and game plan. And I'm very concerned and
interested to see how Oklahoma responds with this. It's just
as far as who are they turning two to one
scheme things up? And are they going to change the
format in there? Because they didn't. Really you have kind
of a war room to develop game plans. That's pretty
much just all on seth.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
It's tough if you're going to hire a coach. It
feels like to me a lot more success with a
lot of these young offensive guys and Venables is obviously
a very defensive coach. I mean, that's what he's known for,
and his defense has been good. But holy crap, I mean,
and they gave him that extension without really ever having
won anything any chance of looking at that, like, why

(30:25):
do we jump the gun so early?

Speaker 5 (30:26):
Yeah, you know, more and more schools are doing this
and I don't know why. And I had some agents
reach out to me during that game, going wow, they
extended him and gave him more pay raise back in
junior July, not even right after the season, when no
one was in danger of stealing him as the head
coach or even anything like that. So why are you
waiting until the summer to get that done when you

(30:48):
usually get that stuff done in the spring, and for
that matter, why are you even doing it anyway, because
he hadn't really done anything. He got you the nine
wins or whatever, but going to the SEC, you don't
know what that was going to look like. You just
lost your top tier offensive coordinator in Jeff Levy, and
you're pushing all your chips in the middle of the
table with the coach had only been there two years
so far, and you're doing somewhere. You know, usually people

(31:11):
get big pay raises because others are coming after them,
and that's not happening with Brenton Vinables And for.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
My Oklahoma family. The only thing that could have saved
the night even a bit after their game against South Carolina,
which was over from the very very very beginning, was
Texas losing. And Texas did lose, and I found great
joy in that. I did, for one of being an
SEC guy and also being a Texas hater. So Texas
did make a run at the end and make it
a one possession game. How much of the game did
you get to watch and what do you think the

(31:39):
biggest difference in those two teams.

Speaker 5 (31:40):
Was Georgia just seemed a little bit better prepared for
that game. They were so much more. I mean defensively,
they were terrorizing Texas all night. They only allowed what
thirty eight yards in that first half. You see some
of the motions, the pre snap adjustments that the defense
was making. You know, remember in this day and age

(32:01):
of college football, they now allow coach to player communications
in their headsets, but that turns off when the play
clock goes down to fifteen seconds. And Georgia, when the
communications went off and the offense was done making their adjustments,
the defense was making pre snap adjustments of their own
right before the snap, and it was absolutely terrorizing them.
They didn't know what to do offensively. Texas didn't matter

(32:23):
what quarterback was in there. And in this day and
age in college football, you know, you see Georgia lose
on the road at Alabama. They came out flat, but
then storm back against Alabama ended up losing where and
then Georgia the last three weeks, everybody's going, well, they're winning,
but they're not quite putting up a lot of points.
They're kind of playing closer games. But again, Kirby Smart

(32:44):
shows that great coaching and preparation really is what matters
when you try to get these kids all on the
same page week to week, because it's very easy for
locker rooms to kind of lose focus and come out
flat in some games. We've seen that, even with the
likes of Georgia earlier this year against Alabama. But Kirby
Smart had that team focused, and you could tell even

(33:06):
after the game, Kirby Smart, who never talks about the
media and all the outside expectations, goes out and says,
no one believed in US, and he was calling out ESPN,
said no one believed in US at ESPN to win
this game at Texas, you can tell that they were
using that this past week to really get their focus
and preparing for their scheme, and they worked out perfectly
against Texas.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
So yours got hit pretty hard and they pulled viewers.
And it wasn't just because of the hit. He didn't
start the game well, but nobody did offensively for Texas
and they put Arch in. Now, I'm going to run
a hypothetical by you. We're just going to use what
we think might have happened. Let's imagine Arch makes the
right read on he threw a bad bat, he went
to the guy over, there was a guy under wide open.

(33:48):
Let's imagine Arch actually takes them down in scores on
that drive. Do you think Arch is today the starting
quarterback in Texas?

Speaker 5 (33:54):
Yes, I think so. I also think that quinn Ewers
is still a little bothered, either subconsciously or actually physically
from his abdominal injury that kept him out the last
few weeks. I think that going into that game, Georgia
prepared very well, and obviously we're getting after him, but
I think that affected the way he was throwing the
ball a little bit in that game. I don't know

(34:16):
if his actual physical ailment or the lingering effects of
it mentally and arch Maning going in if he gets
just one really good drive, as you said, I think
we're talking about a wholly different, potentially an outcome there.
I don't know if they win, but most definitely something
where Steve Sarkesian is being asked as arch maning your
quarterback and him probably saying yes. He having said all that,

(34:38):
I do wonder about the doubt creeping into the Texas
locker room. It's human nature, no matter what your coach says, saying,
quin Ewers is our guy, but now you've played that
seed of quinn Ewers could be yanked out of a
game at any point. Now in a big game. You
just played the biggest game of the year, and you
yanked your quarterback out. So if you're a receiver or
running back, you're gonna be in the locker room one

(35:00):
during who's my starting quarterback? And then number two? Should
I be buddying up with arch Manning a little bit
more this week so I can get some more looks,
Or should I be buddying up more with quinn Ewers
a little bit? It just human nature. It affects the
relationships in the locker room, and then it'll affect the
production once on the field. I think that Steve Sarkisian

(35:20):
very much. Probably is being criticized by fans for that,
and rightfully so, because now you've got to handle some
things in the locker room that aren't being said out loud,
but it is certainly being thought about by the players.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
The human nature thing is so funny, and I'm glad
you brought that up because we'll stay in Texas with it,
you know. And the thing was Texas hadn't they'd played Michigan. Well,
as Michigan played more games, it's more and more obvious
Michigan isn't what Michigan was last year. We never thought
they were going to be. However, they were still Michigan.
They were still ranked. They were ranked until yesterday until
he lost again. But now who has Texas play? Who

(35:53):
has Texas beat? And now does Texas go? Maybe we
are not Texas with the big balls that we thought
we were.

Speaker 5 (36:00):
That's a big question for them, definitely, and you wonder
about how the players feel about that. The schedule certainly
does get tougher here. And I look at a team
like Texas A and M that's undefeated still in the
SEC as far As conference record, and some of their
toughest games are still remaining at home, including against Texas
when that rivalry gets renewed for the first time in

(36:22):
a dozen years, and it's in College station. So Texas
has much more difficult games coming up on the schedule,
not just because of the talent they face like at Georgia,
but they having to now go on the road to
face tougher teams. So that is something that's really going
to have to They're going to have to overcome somehow,
some way. As well. Having said all that, I still
think Texas is like a top eight team right now,

(36:44):
just because of the talent they have. I think that
they just needed a game like this earlier in the
year that they could have built off of whether it
was a win or loss. Now they're kind of actually
finding out who they are, and right now they're not
a top three team, but they can definitely rebound and
still be like a top five team. Went all of
a sudden done.

Speaker 1 (37:02):
Oregon is number one. Oregon's a weird climb to number
one because when the season started, Oregon's gonna ball out.
They're here. They almost lost a couple of games, but
they didn't even like the Boise State game. They had
to like hold on, But Oregon is your number one team.
They did beat Ohio State. Are they, in your mind
the best team in college football.

Speaker 5 (37:24):
For right now? Yes, But Georgia's nipping at the heels
a little bit. I think Georgia after that one game
at Texas certainly looks like it's playing better ball right now.
Having said that, Oregon started off shaky this year because
their offensive line had injuries and they're having to shuffle guys.
There was one game where they used ten different lineups

(37:45):
along their offensive line because they're just trying to figure
things out against Idaho, and but they've gotten healthier. They
have figured things all all out along the offensive line.
You know, they allow I think seven sacks in their
first three games after last season only allowing like five
or six all year. But since those first few weeks
they've improved drastically. They're not allowing sacks, Dylan Gabriel to

(38:07):
stop making mistakes at quarterback, and they just picked up
their first shutout road win since nineteen ninety two and
a thirty five notzhering win at Perdue. So they're clicking
right now. Hat that pass a halfway point. I do
think their schedule sets up very well for them to
make it into the Big Ten Championship game undefeated, and

(38:28):
even with the loss, they're still getting the playoff. Their
toughest game remaining on that schedule to me is actually
this week when they host Illinois. Illinois just beating Michigan recently.
Illinois is a type of team that will frustrate you defensively,
but offensively they keep the ball out of your hands.
And if Oregon gets off rhythm offensively because Oregon's defense

(38:50):
can't keep Illinois off the field, that could be potential
upset there. You know, I was talking to some other
folks earlier today, Illinois is something like a three touchdown
under the at Oregon, which shocked me. I think they're
going to cover in that game, if not be in
that game going into the fourth quarter.

Speaker 1 (39:08):
Is cam Ward any? I mean? I know he's good.
Is Miami any good? They're giving up one hundred points
a game. They're barely winning these games. They are winning,
but they're not really beating teams of stats. What the
crap is happening with Miami.

Speaker 5 (39:20):
They're playing seven on seven ball right now. It's like,
you know, you go out there and just throw the
ball up and see what happens. Cam Ward has been
an absolute magician for them. You know, they allowed forty
five points on the road in the ACC for the
first time in two years and still won at Louisville. Incredible,
And they're pulling these games out of their hat because

(39:41):
of cam Ward and what he's doing at quarterback. You know,
their defense has gotten worse from last season when I
thought it was actually gonna get better. They come up
big and big moments, both offensively and defensively. You wonder
how much longer you can keep doing that because I
go back to cam Ward when he was at Washington
State previously, where like at Miami had to like carry

(40:01):
them late in games, but at Washington State he's having
to carry them throughout the game and including the coaches
there just trying to get them out of bad play calls,
and it led to interceptions and fumbles and struggles in
the red zone. We haven't seen that at Miami because
he's got more talent around him offensively, but defensively. They've

(40:22):
got to get things fixed up here and in a hurry,
because you can't keep chancing things like this and just
count on one player to get you out of big,
big issues. I mean, Miami had a chance to take
over that game against Louisville, going up double digits and
then the defense allows a touchdown on the very next
possession to make it a game and they're having to
fight for their lives at the end. But because of

(40:44):
cam Ward, they are a team that's still undefeated, Whereas
if they had any other quarterback out there, maybe other
than Shador Sanders, because of the offense, they might have
three losses on the schedule at this point. That just
tells you how special cam ward.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
Is final two questions in Indiana, which, by the way,
they haven't played anybody. Then they kicked crap out of Nebraska.
But Signetti, what do you think about him? And why
do you also feel he's the greatest coach right now alive?

Speaker 5 (41:09):
He's amazing. Absolutely, I've been on their bandwagon in the
last four weeks. I did a story on them last week,
specifically on Curtis Rourke, their quarterback who's now injured, is
going to miss at least one week with a thumb injury.
But their offensive system just seems like they can hit
anything at any time because of the RPO and how
perfect they are with it run and pass. They're also

(41:31):
a team built off of guys that have just had
to bust their ass their entire lives. Always have had
chips on their shoulders. I know that's a sports cliche,
but these guys legitimately have. I mean, Curtis Ork, I mean,
this quarterback has all the measurables of an NFL guy.
He had a difficult time getting recruited because he played
in Canada his entire career and the only reason why
he landed at Ohio in the MAC to start his

(41:53):
years there is because his brother Nathan Rourke was the
quarterback at Ohio. Otherwise no one was paying any attention
to him. Indiana's top receiver, Elijah Surat, who they call
the waffle House because he's always open, started his career
at Saint Francis, then transferred to James Madison, and then
follow Kurt Signety from James Madison to Indiana. He's a

(42:14):
guy that was barely getting Division two offers and when
he was transferring, barely got any calls from Power five
lower tier teams. These are all guys that have something
to prove and they are just fed up with being
denied that. And Kurt Signetti is the same way he's
telled people since he's been in Indiana. All I do
is win, Google me go, look me up. And the

(42:35):
players believe in that. And in this day and age,
I was talking earlier about how there's more talent than
ever in the Power conferences, but it's also more spread out, right,
So when you do that with the transfer portal, you
put a lot of personalities out there that believe it's
all about them, and you have a harder time as
a head coach or a coordinator. Gave them all the
focus and be on the same page and buy into

(42:57):
your culture and buy into your program, in your scheme
of the way you do things, you ask players to sacrifice.
Not a lot of players want to do that nowadays,
but coaches like Kurt Signetti has managed to do that
at Indiana because he's gotten guys who have never really
been given big opportunities, and now that they've got it
and they see it working under Kurt Signetti, they believe

(43:18):
all in him and they'll do anything for him. That's
very rare in college football. Go look at programs like
in Alabama this year, which is uber talented still, but
they're undisciplined. They get penalized a lot, all of a sudden,
they look krky jerky offensively. It's because of that. Kurt
Signetti is kind of the perfect coach of the perfect

(43:38):
time right now at a place like Indiana with the
transfer portal in nil spreading the field a little bit
more evenly. But he's like one of the one lone
coaches out there where everybody on that roster believes in him.

Speaker 1 (43:50):
I didn't notice if Calendi bor was wearing a callar
this week. Was he I really don't remember.

Speaker 2 (43:56):
Was he Cue.

Speaker 5 (43:56):
I can't remember either. All I know is that he's
got a if he is, we're in a collar. It's
real tight around.

Speaker 1 (44:02):
And here's the final thing I'm gonna ask you, and
we're gonna use this on the National Show. So Brandon
Marcelo on with us. Brandon, give me your top five
teams right now in all of college football according to
you and what you have seen so far the season.

Speaker 5 (44:17):
Well, right now, I've got Oregon number one. I think
they're the clear number one to me, but George is
nipping on their heels at this point after their incredible
performance against Texas this past week, and even if Oregon
wins but struggles a little bit against Illinois, I probably
end up bumping Georgia up to number one next week.

(44:38):
After that, I've got Ohio State. They have a bye week.
They're kind of lurking the shadows after their loss against
Oregon on the road. Play that at a neutral site
game is probably a different outcome. And then Miami and
Penn State. Miami I've been high on all season. I've
had them at number four for several weeks now. They
keep playing these close games. Cam Ward's managed to get

(44:59):
them going late in games to win it and Penn
State huge game at Camp Randall at Wisconsin. Wisconsin on
our roll since losing to Alabama, and it's because their
quarterback is throwing multiple touchdowns and games. In this past
week they almost eclipse two hundred yards rushing against a
very good Northwestern defense that hadn't allowed more than one

(45:19):
hundred and fifty yards rushing all season. Very dangerous spot
for a couple of Big Ten teams going into this
in the top five.

Speaker 1 (45:26):
Brandon Marcelo you can read his art goals at two
four to seven sports dot com. He's my favorite writer
in the whole wide world. He broke news to me
this morning as a matter of fact. Brandon. Good to
talk to you, buddy, and we'll talk to you next week.

Speaker 5 (45:36):
All right, see you, Bobby.

Speaker 1 (45:37):
Say buddy, Kevin, how'd you feel about the balls taking
the goalposts down?

Speaker 3 (45:48):
Hated it?

Speaker 1 (45:48):
Yeah, like pretty lame.

Speaker 3 (45:49):
Yeah, I don't understand what they're doing. I think now
it's like you know, Vandy did it, and like people
are doing it now. It's like a social thing where's like, well,
we're gonna go viral if we do it. This looks
fun and cool and it's just like, come on, you
as are a good program.

Speaker 1 (46:01):
Was like that was a real one. They should have
ripped the building up right, like that was a huge
should have jumped cars over, should have been like Detroit
ninety two after that lighting stuff on fire. I'm all
I would have been.

Speaker 3 (46:12):
Like, I get it, that's just a normal night on Broadway.

Speaker 1 (46:15):
Though. Yeah, I felt like that was kind of lame.

Speaker 3 (46:18):
Yeah. Even rushing the field is like, that's teetering.

Speaker 1 (46:22):
Id rushing the field against Tennessee, I felt so stupid
one because I don't have to pay the money. Not
that I pay it, but I was like, don't give
them that respect. We beat Tennessee four times in a row,
and like five out of the last six. It's like,
I know, we didn't even do it because it was Tennessee.
We did it because they were a top five school. Yeah,
top five.

Speaker 3 (46:38):
Yeah, but it's like nice, nice, I'm getting legit now,
I'm getting legit when we beat him, yeah, yeah, when
we beat him more of you guys.

Speaker 1 (46:49):
So, but I didn't like it. I felt like we
beat them so many times, who cares that the goalposting?
It just one is going to cost money to get
on the field to Okay, it's stupid.

Speaker 3 (47:04):
Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 1 (47:05):
It's your team too, it's your team.

Speaker 3 (47:07):
I know, I know, and I would have been on
the field like you guys, what are we doing? He's
fighting people?

Speaker 1 (47:11):
No push it back? Hey, Eddie, did you do you
like that the Cowboys didn't play?

Speaker 2 (47:17):
Yeah? Oh man, it was stress free, dude. Like I
really woke up Sunday like, oh the birds are chirping, Ah,
nothing to stress out about the day. And I went
to bed and I wasn't upset.

Speaker 1 (47:29):
I hate bye weeks, thee oh they're bowing even if
my team sucks.

Speaker 2 (47:32):
I hate bye weeks. But I needed a break. Man,
There's too much going on in my life. When the
Cowboys are playing like it's all build up all week,
then Sunday they let us down. I'm upset all the
way to Thursday. Then games start again and start the
start the whole rotation again. Too much.

Speaker 1 (47:48):
Yeah, and to have a bye week after a blowout
two sucks. It just sits in you. Yes, we had
our by week after a big win, and I just
kind of wanted to play. I just I just don't
like bye weeks, but also I'm the having to play,
so I did see like.

Speaker 2 (48:01):
Dak did get married or something like that.

Speaker 3 (48:04):
He proposed that, like, yeah, I just proposed it, just
proposed in the green. Wasn't it somewhere in a golf course?

Speaker 2 (48:11):
I guess? But shouldn't shouldn't we be practicing? Okay, off
week Tony Romo goes to like Hawaiian crap, like when
he used to play.

Speaker 3 (48:19):
The players get like four days off.

Speaker 1 (48:20):
Yeah, they should do.

Speaker 2 (48:21):
Hip out the cowboys, like we shouldn't have any days off,
like you suck right now, we need to work.

Speaker 1 (48:27):
Maybe they just need some rest.

Speaker 3 (48:29):
Oh maybe that's hey, Eddie's that guy in your clements.

Speaker 2 (48:33):
Put your foot in front of yours.

Speaker 1 (48:36):
Oklahoma is not good and I don't like that they're
not good. I'm glad they didn't come into the SEC
and just want a bunch because I have felt stupid,
like a family team comes in and the dominates. But
I don't like it how bad they are. They played
South Carolina was over in the first quarter, because I
I don't mind if they're terrible when it's my wife,
because forever she makes fun of Arkansas like she makes

(48:58):
fun of me. Why do you keep it in for teams?
So I don't mind if they suck for her, but like, like,
I really love her dad, and I hate that he
gets sad about them being so bad. It's the sweet
guy I know, and I know he's like me, and
he's sitting over there just like chewing the sight of
the But South Carolina just jumped him. It was over.

Speaker 3 (49:13):
I was in Norman too, wasn't it?

Speaker 1 (49:15):
It was? It was a bad one. Another breaking news,
Matt Overton was on the Dolphins.

Speaker 2 (49:21):
Saw that. I thought you were joking.

Speaker 1 (49:23):
They said his name. I didn't even playing and they
were like, uh, just signed Matt Overton, deep snapper And
I'm like, wait what signed? When this morning? They flying
at noon?

Speaker 2 (49:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (49:32):
Are boy Matt Overton?

Speaker 2 (49:32):
He keeps getting called that.

Speaker 1 (49:33):
That's awesome. Turn wasn't he playing yesterday? No? Two weeks ago?
For sure? Was the award for best or Worst helmet?

Speaker 2 (49:45):
The best?

Speaker 1 (49:47):
What did you think, Illinois?

Speaker 3 (49:51):
The helmets were cool at first, it was like, but
the uniforms was just it was just too much.

Speaker 2 (49:56):
It was a whole thing. Yeah, it was a whole thing.
Yeah an outfit, guys, No, is that what your wife
calls it?

Speaker 1 (50:03):
I loved the helmets when I saw the pictures of
them before. I don't know they were playing them. They're
like each of these helmets took two hours is to
represent the oh and I was like, oh, those they
really paining those helmets cool. I was like, Oh, wond
if they're gonna wear them in the game or if
they're just like decorative. I love those leather looking helmets.
They were awesome me too. I didn't mind that the uniforms.

Speaker 2 (50:22):
Well, it's you know, like those were the kinds of
uniforms they wore back then when they Yeah.

Speaker 3 (50:26):
Trust me and I get it.

Speaker 1 (50:27):
I get it.

Speaker 3 (50:27):
But like I thought the helmet was so cool, and
then the uniform just took away from it.

Speaker 2 (50:31):
You know, I thought they were real leather helmets. I'm like, damn,
that's ballar.

Speaker 1 (50:33):
That would have been.

Speaker 2 (50:36):
That's baller boys.

Speaker 1 (50:39):
Hey, Mike, can we take a break for one more segment?

Speaker 5 (50:41):
Or no?

Speaker 1 (50:41):
Yeah, do that? I just take one more break. The
best part about football season is checking out the post
game stats, especially if you were in on it and
you're wondering because it's gonna help you or hurt you.

less than three hundred and fifty yards, or which defensive
lineman had two sacks or who had intercepts. Well, now,

about the Texas Georgia game. Mike, I'll go to you first. Yeah,
that's terrible. I feel awful.

Speaker 6 (52:25):
M I don't think you should feel awful, but that
was like the one game like if we could beat Georgia,
then everybody would just stop talking like we haven't beaten everybody.
That would have just taken out all that doubt. And
now it's like, ah, I look at you. You don't
belong to the a SEC.

Speaker 1 (52:39):
Yeah, you have to deal with that. You'll have to deal
with that for a little bit. That part sucks, but
you are good.

Speaker 6 (52:43):
But the offense just look horrible, like not even scoring
in the first half, Like what is happening?

Speaker 1 (52:49):
That's tough. I was rooting against you, but that's okay because.

Speaker 2 (52:54):
They had a bet. Oh no, you're a hater. You
called it.

Speaker 1 (52:57):
Excuse me, you called it that Georgia was gonna beat it.
I did think Georgia would win, but also called Arkansas
winning in the freaking part.

Speaker 3 (53:03):
Lady get Georgia.

Speaker 1 (53:06):
I let my heart get with that one. I did
feel like Georgia was going to come in because no
one was giving him a shot. And that's weird for
Georgia to not get a shot.

Speaker 2 (53:15):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (53:15):
And I feel like Texas hadn't really played anyone with
a past defense like Georgia had. Georgia's defensive line. Georgia
just has dudes, right, maybe they're not. Their wide receiver
Cord doesn't seem like as duty as they have been
in the past. Carson bec though a rough couple first
possessions not great, but then it was on. But I think, listen,

(53:36):
Texas wasn't gonna go indefeated anyway. Nobody is. Nobody's gonna
go unefeeded, so might as well lose to Georgia. Georgia
lost to Alabama, and to hear Georgia talk about it,
they're like, we needed that, we needed to be in
a fight, We needed it, so hey to have like
be like, oh, Texas is fine, because I just wish
they'd fallen a hole, but they got dropped to what
what are they now?

Speaker 6 (53:53):
Five?

Speaker 2 (53:54):
That's not that's not much.

Speaker 1 (53:55):
No, they're great. You're gonna be fine. You have a
couple other big games coming up Texas schedule. I know
we've done this before, but I remember going through and
like that was the one. If you won that one,
like you were set set. But now there's a little question.
There's a little doubt. But that's also probably good for
the team to just not feel like they're gonna run
through it now, Yeah, because that's when you get caught
up at the end, and when you get caught at
the end, get seasons over. So yeah, that sucked, but

(54:18):
they did make it a one possession game.

Speaker 2 (54:20):
Yeah, and they're now going into Vandy.

Speaker 1 (54:22):
Vandy's gonna be like, oh, we can take them. They're
gonna run bandy. It sucks. Mand's my third favorite new
team of like my secondary team. Vandy's gonna they're gonna
run a hole through Vandy set. I hope they don't,
but I think they're gonna come run a whole Mike
you going.

Speaker 3 (54:34):
Yeah, nice.

Speaker 2 (54:35):
But if Vandy does beat them, Texas go back to
the big call. The stadium is getting torn down.

Speaker 1 (54:41):
That just leave the big Oh yeah, I'm gonna go
burn my car in my yard. It's not even about
the I'm taking the pickupball court. I'm demolishing game with it.

Speaker 3 (54:49):
And then you have all the fans throwing stuff on
the field.

Speaker 1 (54:52):
I did not watch that live. I had to go
watch back because I was what the Arkansas game is
not at the same time. So apparently it was passing
interference called. It really wasn't a pass interference call, but
then they threw all the crap and then the refs
overturned it. But it looked like the refs overturned it
because the people did the crap on the field, but
the refs say, that's not why. I don't even know
what happened.

Speaker 2 (55:10):
The timing was weird though, because like there was the
pass interference right, and then they're they're cleaning all the
stuff off because they threw all this trash. They were
upset about the call, and as they're throwing all this
stuff away, they were like huddling up, and as soon
as it was cleaned up, they're like, we have a call,
And I thought, like, oh, delay of game maybe because
of all the trash. No, then they're going to review
the pass interference, which is weird. They're going to review

(55:31):
a pass interference. Then they overturned it for it for
like a huge interception. It's a difference in a review
and referees get together and talking the reviews.

Speaker 1 (55:41):
If they go and they watch it, the referees can't
come together and talk and be like, that wasn't a
pass interference, And that's what happened. They didn't review the
pass interference. They did not go to the screen. No,
they didn't correct because you cannot review a pass interference,
but you can go hey, I had a really good
angle on that. That's why they picked flags up. Sometimes
yeah from my from because I didn't watch it live,

(56:01):
but I did try to watch clips and it's still
not the same. It seemed to me like that's what happened.
But you can't throw crap on the field. They should
have penalized the fans.

Speaker 2 (56:09):
I totally thought it was going to be a delay
of game because of that. It took so much to
clean up. But if it wasn't for picking up the
trash and giving them those ten minutes to like talk
about it.

Speaker 1 (56:17):
I don't think that's I don't think they would have.
I think they would have, and I think that all
the trash coming down just kept them from doing that
right then, because it was that was kind of a moment.
You didn't want to get hit by anything. You just
get out of the way and wait till it's over
and then meet. I'm happy though, for my friends that
it did seem fishy. Though it did. It did seem fishy,
but looking at it from a day later, they didn't

(56:38):
review it. They didn't go and gather underneath the beer
bottles coming down, which is what would have happened, and
they did up making the right call, but it did
look like they if you just eyes on, it looks
like they changed their call because Texas own beer bottles.

Speaker 6 (56:50):
And now they're trying to find all the students and
ban them for the rest of the season.

Speaker 1 (56:54):
Good hope, so they deserve it.

Speaker 3 (56:57):
He's like, oh, I know who they are.

Speaker 1 (56:58):
Yeah, I go down and pointing to all of them
or Stati's.

Speaker 2 (57:02):
No, that was my friend man Baron. It's my buddy,
my Instagram buddy. He follows me on Instagram. Who number
seven for the Longhorns.

Speaker 1 (57:09):
I don't know who it is.

Speaker 2 (57:10):
But he follows me on Instagram. That's awesome. And I
saw him follow me and I was like, oh, that's cool.
And then I followed him back and he's the dude.
He's got he's got a lot of interceptions. He's really good.
He's a great dB. And so the whole game, I
was making the joke and like, oh, that's my friend
right there, number seven, And then he'd make a play
and like, oh was that my friend?

Speaker 1 (57:27):
That was my friend.

Speaker 2 (57:27):
It's awesome kids to probably believe that crowd totally. Yeah.
So now my kids probably telling their friends at school
right now that, Yeah, I mean my dad's friend. Man,
he's barn.

Speaker 3 (57:36):
That's cool.

Speaker 1 (57:36):
All right, wrapping it up, Let's just walk through the
games real quick. Oregon wins block from the beginning over Purdue.
Miami wins. That game was just a lot of points.
It was like eleven on six offens has had eleven
defense at six.

Speaker 2 (57:51):
Clemson beats Virginia. Clemson's good. I guess, I guess right.

Speaker 3 (57:58):
Yeah, they you can find out they play Miami could
have been maybe because it's the only those are the
only two teams in the ACC.

Speaker 1 (58:03):
You're like, okay, and so somebody probably going defeated and
they're gonna look like they're gonna get one of those
four buys because they won the conference. Tennessee beats Alabama.
Is a good game? Does a good game?

Speaker 2 (58:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (58:15):
It was.

Speaker 2 (58:15):
You think the Clemson thing. You think your spell's over,
like worn out?

Speaker 1 (58:18):
Okay, they lost their only game. They were supposed to
be tough. They shall lose other tough games. Oh, they shall.
What you got.

Speaker 3 (58:29):
They don't play each other in the regular season.

Speaker 1 (58:32):
That's so lame, I know, but there's so many teams
and now these conferences. You can't play everybody all the time,
or you can't play everybody like the Big Ten. Some
of the schools just aren't playing each other, you know,
they don't play each other.

Speaker 3 (58:42):
Yeah, Clemson does play South Carolina at the end of
the year, though.

Speaker 1 (58:45):
South Carolina is formidable. Yeah, they're formidable enough for if
South Carolina beats them, then Clemson does suck because South
Carolina is not great.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
Yeah. Is that their rival?

Speaker 1 (58:56):
Yeah? Rivalry week in state?

Speaker 2 (58:57):
Rival just right?

Speaker 1 (58:59):
Yeah, just rival.

Speaker 2 (59:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (59:01):
LSU beat arktil thirty four ten a little closer than that.
The second half got out of hand. Interception turned it
all around. It's so stupid. I hate life. Georgia beat
Texas that scores a little closer than the game. Texas
did make it a one possession game, but Georgia did
look just like they were more motivated and bigger and stronger. Right,

(59:21):
didn't they look bigger and stronger?

Speaker 2 (59:22):
They did? Yeah, yes, it's funny how a team can
look that way. I don't know if that's a and
usually Texas looks bigger and stronger. But maybe Texas was
like whining so much like and I heard I heard
it to the microphones that I thought, maybe they're not.

Speaker 1 (59:33):
Bigger and stronger.

Speaker 2 (59:33):
Feel fragile?

Speaker 1 (59:34):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, fragile's game.

Speaker 2 (59:36):
What's crazy that Kirby Smart did call out ESPN to
ESPN like, you guys didn't believe us after you got
you got? He played the reporter as a Katie George,
you didn't believe us?

Speaker 1 (59:47):
Iowa State, you see f it's close game. Io State
almost almost lost it. They're undefeated. I believe i State is.

Speaker 2 (59:53):
Yeah. Weekend NFL preview review review. Jags win. Good for
the jaz Is winning again.

Speaker 1 (01:00:00):
You don't want to win, Kevin, Sorry, I'm not I'm
sorry you don't want to win but your quarterback look good.

Speaker 3 (01:00:04):
Yeah, he looks. Yeah, that's the first good quarterback I've
seen him about four years.

Speaker 1 (01:00:08):
Jacks Wine. They have two wins. Now, let's go, Jaggs,
let's go.

Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
But they're not playing London anymore. Back to the real world,
Back to America.

Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
Seahawks beat the Falcons. Thought the game would be a
little closer. Seahawks defense played well. Same Bills beat the Titans. Well, yeah,
Mason Rudolf's now the starter for.

Speaker 2 (01:00:25):
Sure, for sure, because they they bench. I thought it
was hurt. It's hurt. Yeah, I don't think they benched Levis.
I think he just couldn't play.

Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
Guys, I'm telling you, no, you're probably right. He's hurt.
Finger quote. Yeah, Mason, Mason Rudolf is the starter.

Speaker 3 (01:00:39):
They announced it Saturday night.

Speaker 1 (01:00:41):
I'm telling you he had that same injury, then came
back and played a game, and then all of a sudden,
has this. It doesn't matter. The Titans, Bengals beat the Browns.
Uh so, yeah, I did not see this. All Kevin
said to me was you see him he towards Achilles. Yeah,
Deshaun Watson, did you see it?

Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
And I did not see it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:02):
I went back and watched the crowd cheer.

Speaker 5 (01:01:04):
That's terrible.

Speaker 1 (01:01:04):
Yeah, that was bad. And I don't think they were
cheering at the injury. I think they were cheering because
they don't have to have him anymore. Yeah, yeah, but
either I think they would have cheered the same way
even if they said, hey, everybody, Deshaun Watson's gonna walk
off the field not come back.

Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
Well, that would have been better cheer.

Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:01:16):
But when he's on the car, it's like kind of
know what's going on.

Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
Uh huh. He may even be relieved, let's be honest. Yeah,
he got it. Yeah, like he may be telling those guys, hey,
down to the pile, grab my achilles a twist, oh my,
get me out of this. Packers and Texans. Big game
for the Packers game whin a field goal?

Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:01:34):
Dolphins Colt is bad game? Vikings Lions, Lions win. That's
a good game. Eagles, what the Giants? Giants suck?

Speaker 5 (01:01:41):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:01:41):
Dan Danads got benched? Yeah yeah, I looked over on
the on the sideline.

Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
Yeah, who played the veto? No, it's not there anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:01:49):
He may be three, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:01:50):
He's on the Broncos and the Seahawks, Drew Luck, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
Drew Luck.

Speaker 1 (01:01:52):
Yeah, or that guy Rams meet the Raiders. That wasn't
even that was not even a game.

Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
I didn't even realize did watch.

Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
It was ugly. I watched like a series and a half,
and I was like, what's happening. This looks like a scrimmage.

Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
You know how you can like split your screens up
on like red ze or whatever, like a no, nope,
don't bother.

Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
No, we're good commander for the Panthers. Chief beat the
forty nine Ers, but Brandan new with the knee injury.
That sucks.

Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
Yeah, because also they don't have a they don't have McAffrey.
Still Caffrey h is deebo.

Speaker 3 (01:02:23):
Playing people played like five plays.

Speaker 1 (01:02:24):
I think, yeah, yeah, that sucks. So Chiefs winning. Then
Steelers went hilarious, hilarious. Aaron Rodgers, you suck. I st
it for you. You suck. Okay, that's it. I want
to thank you reading think us say, buddy didn't talk much.
Your one sign is hurt. So yeah, this side right here,
right here, But hey pick a ball today, guys. Anybody,

(01:02:45):
Well we have to work out though. Yeah, we usually
played before we can play a little bit. I have
therapy and no we can't. Oh okay, you had your chance,
maybe played fifteen minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:02:54):
Yeah, that's all I need, just to I can get better.
They can play Kevin over there. It's threatening me.

Speaker 1 (01:02:58):
Did he if Kevin play? If you two played the
exact same amount of times for a month, same exact
amount of times, everything with exactly. I was getting annoyed
how good he was getting playing singles because I was
just like, I'm gonna be just pounded pound Kevin real quick,
just move him around, not even like hit it. And
I was like, oh, it's too good an athlete. And
he starting to learn how to play that term I
had around backward even though I wasn't wearing one. Oh

(01:03:20):
you made the whole Yeah, I did it already to on.
Then I told him after. I was like, dang, dude,
you're getting good. Uh you guys, have a great day.
