Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up it slip service. I'm Angela Yee and I'm
here with my girls, Larry Al and g G McGuire,
and today we are doing Adelian toast to something that
I saw that was so remarkable. We had the first
African American who was won the National Spelling Bee and
she got a full scholarship offer. She's not even in
high school yet. She has an offer of a full

(00:20):
scholarship to Louisiana State University. And you know she's from Louisiana.
She's from Harvy, Louisiana. And she said that she does
hope to play basketball at Harvard University, and that would
be before her career at NASA. Or she was to
be a coach in the NBA, or she wants a
career in neuroscience or editing. Yes, a million different things,

(00:41):
and she could do it all. We've seen the basketball, right,
she didn't dribble three, so she could dribble three careers.
I don't know this word at all. I've never heard
it before, and I might even pronounce it wrong, even
though I've heard it several times now, but it's called
Maria Maria and where she is? Yeah? Whatever? Right? Winning
the spelling being the word is Maria. It's a genus

(01:04):
of tropical, Asiatic and Australian trees having pinnate leaves and
flowers with imbricated petals. Maria lest where can tell you
like the English name Murray, which can be the name
of a comedian, the English name and general I don't
see that here, Bill Murray made the spelling beal Maria

(01:25):
and you are are a That is career. And I
also love her resilience. Just two years ago when she
was in the sixth grade, she actually finished three hundred
and seventy in the competition. What she ended up working
up to seven hours a day to practice spelling, and
that's how she went. When I tell you that it's

(01:47):
some work, yes she deserves that. So congratulated, Zaela. Congratulation.
You can take a shot with us when you turned
twenty one. But we're doing this for naw. What's that
this lip service? I'm Angela yee, I'm g g McGuire,
I'm Laria. Hey, what's up? Pop of his lip service?

(02:11):
Cherry with us? What's up? How you're telling Hey, I'm
good talking to yeah dog, let's see dog on come
saying hello let's see what kind of dog boy? What

(02:32):
a cute Yeah, he is really cute. She is a girl.
She she is cute. She's pregnant. Yeah, take care of
my baby. Uh did she pregnant on purpose? Or was it? Um?
Somebody didn't pull out? All right, Well, it's a pleasure

(02:57):
to have you worked. So you're in l A right now.
I am in Alan, okay, and I alway appear you wrapped,
but never really hear you talk much. And I can
hear your Canadian accent straight off the bat, like you know,

(03:17):
you gotta make sure you keep that accent. But you
also from the Caribbean too, right, But you have mixed
like me, I think, Yeah, I'm Jamaican, I'm Filipino. He's
Caribbean Asian and so I am Chinese and manseration. So
you might be brother and sister somewhere down the line
from the damn countries. Yeah, So who's Filipino? Oh? My mother? Okay?

(03:44):
So your dads you're making So how did they get together? Uh?
She like our sales like now my actually my d
that she like moved to the hood for me. So
like she's like like the any Asians and the black
community you know with full of Jamain things. So all

(04:04):
the jam came to my neighborhood was like, um, Jane
and Finch, that's where I'm from. It's like like when
they come to Canada, they go to Jana Finch, my
neighborhood and then they do all the craziest all the
crazy stuff they do in my neighborhood. And then my grandmother,
she she's just working and she just had one like

(04:25):
four kids like my mom and three of her sisters
taking care of her mom and dad as well. But
we are neighborhood. She was the only coolest Asian and
you feel me. And then my dad he was like
a guy in the streets and stuff. And my mom
she was just going to school. And then that's how
they met because they lived in them stay in their neighborhood.

(04:46):
They said, that's like one of the worst neighborhoods in Canada,
like very gang related affiliated all that all that stuff.
Like my grandma she's like cool and you know, m yeah,
that's neighborhood that were raising. It's called Jenna Finch. Do
you go there a lot still right now? Now? Not

(05:07):
really like I just because the border and ship like
it's in Canada. But once I get like my my
green card and stuff, probably back all the time. That's right,
because you can't leave because you want to make sure
you could come back. Yeah, exactly, I just wanted to right,
you're just trying to break my career and then go
back and forget. You know, you can marry Coy. You

(05:28):
won't have no problems that in the works. What's going
on facing it up? When you said, yeah, you don't
you don't see that's now Visa pop. Yeah, you be

(05:53):
talking one day y'all met like from doing the song together. Yeah,
so how did that even happened? Like you called her
up and you said, I want you to hop on
this song. Was it through d M s and in
your head where you like, I'm gonna get her to
come get on this song and then I'm a holler. Yeah. No,
it wasn't even like that, man. Everybody was just saying,
you know, we need corn on the song. And then

(06:15):
we got cor on the song on the song and
she hit me, she DM me and she was just
like shurting me, Oh okay, so I see you your boy?
Yeah the video and she was just like her energies,
like I love her energy that she reminds me like

(06:36):
a I like people and I like meet them and
they remind me of myself a lot, Like I know,
I'm a real person and then I'm just like real
to life. You know, you seem real, laid back, and
she seemed real like you know out there. Yeah, yeah,
she got the best energy. She like hustler. She hustled

(06:57):
like she a great hustle. She hustled more than these niggas.
I tell you that I never met a girl that
hustle hard at it. And I'm a hustler like you know,
and y'are also an attractive couple. And one thing I
did see people saying to her they thought that you
was so handsome, that you was pretty, and they thought
you were actually a girl. Did that bother you at

(07:18):
any point, because I know that's not the first time
you've heard that you're very handsome, so they kind of
mistaken you for a girl like us and said you
were pretty a pretty boy, pretty boy as a little boy.
So I always having my hair old and just because
like my mom do my hair like they just all

(07:38):
the time. And if I mean just I'm a modeling
not look so good, you know, but quite saying look
at that dick print though, you see that's what she
said that change things. Yeah, that was a good response.

(08:03):
So talk to me about women right for you in
Toronto when you were coming up, because I know before
you got in a relationship, he was a little bit
of a player. That's what the streets say. Yeah, that's
what the streets say. You know we got connections in Toronto.
Mm hmm. Yeah. I don't even know ship really rock

(08:25):
with Toronto When I was I used to like not
trust Toronto. I just that's just my mindset from my city.
Like I don't know who didn't know what it may
be somebody doesn't. And you definitely street, so you knew
you couldn't really play around like that. I can't really

(08:47):
be all of good caught laughing, right girl? You know,
is there a difference between girls from America versus girls
from Canada? Because there was things that I've heard guys
say from here from this state that would be like,
you know, the girls and Canada a little bit more free,
if you know what I mean? Is that true? Pie

(09:07):
for Americans? Like, yeah, they come to America or they
want to have the term of their life and should
and then go back home to the whole secret. You
know that's true. That's everywhere like to Canada. She probably
from America. She probably feel free to do whatever she
wants rather than playing with a bunch of guys from
her city than her cities. Her name is just tarnished,

(09:28):
you know what I mean? Girls because they're from state
to state, contry to country, but in Toronto in particular,
I feel like guys love women from Toronto, like they
will always be like we're going out there to Carabata,
We're gonna meet some women, because that was always the
big thing. You know what it is like American girls

(09:51):
are like much more faster. America is just ten times
faster than Canada, you know what I mean. So like
the girls are more faster and everything, and just the
culture like it's different like over there, like the girls
that they're fighting and they're like just like girls I
go to school, just work regul their jobs. Here girls

(10:12):
are getting money. They're all busted down like in America,
you know, an bake chains, diamond chains and stuff like
doing that. That's that's like there's I could name like
the ones in Canada, but like here just you can't
there's like a bunch of an you feel me? So
I feel like America's just way more faster country than Canada.

(10:35):
Tell me what about I know you were on tour
with Drake at one point in time, and we just
recently seen that he runned out the whole Dodger Stadium
for a damn date. What's the most craziest thing you've
ever done for a day or for a woman. Easiest

(10:56):
that's did a song so that you can talk my attachments,
easiest moments now with my baby, you know what I mean?
So like, what, what's the what's the What's something that
you and Coy have done? Other memories by account? Really,
that's not really something I want to, like, you know,
talk about. Yeah, that's respectful. You know what the craziest

(11:20):
thing I did? I left America. He went to Virgin Island.
You know, I ain't leave America in two years. You know.
I was like, you could have went to the US
Virgin Islands. Yeah, I did that, but like they got
customs coming back, like okay, so you risked it all.
And she was she was ready to get you deported

(11:43):
on vacation. Vacation and she ain't been on vacation. First,
have you ever been on vacation with a woman before?
I find like a lot of guys they don't really
do that unless it's a real girl girlfriend. H very
And yeah, so that was the first time you remember
went on vacation with like on a vacation vacation, that's

(12:06):
what he's gonna claim. That's you know, no, no one
before each other existed, Like y'all just write those people off.
If I went it was just on some like like revisingship,
you know, like relationship. What about any artist that used

(12:27):
to deal with Coy before? Because she has admitted to
dating a couple of artists before. Would you do records
with them still? Or is is that just like a
dead deal? I meanly just a dumb person. I don't
even care about records, nothing like it comes I'm not
even focused on the past, right, So, like Trippy hit

(12:50):
you and I was like, hey, can you jump on
this record? You would still do it before? You know? Right,
you can't help with somebody did before you. That's on them,
and it's you know, it kind of makes us who
you are today. Like I appreciate when a guy don't
really care about who you dated. Before. But we gotta

(13:12):
let them know too, because I feel like you have
to let somebody know because you would rather they find
out from you, because I'm sure you have to tell her,
Like do you all lay down and talk about, you know,
things in your past or even family lives? Like do
you remember having those deep conversations with her just about
coming up and everything? Uh? Yeah, for sure. I've been
through a lot too, so I understand me. I'm not

(13:35):
really like I don't expect a life. I'm very like
you have been through a lot, but you feel like
you need somebody to talk to you. That's what your
girl is for my head like that like like eating
me out right, nothing's gonna be like that's not gonna
be on my conscious like that. Just whatever I'm doing,

(13:57):
I focus our works, me and my girl. What's your
relationship like with your parents? Now? I know that your
dad was in jail for a while, and uh, you know, like,
how is it now that you're you? You're making it?
You know what I mean, You're blowing up? How do
they fail about your career and everything? Yes? Though, so
it's so my grandmother she moved out, my great grandmother,

(14:22):
they moved out and then all my um and they
got like boyfriends and they moved out boyfriend's boyfriends. But
my mom she was stuck in the house, like just
me and her. You me and my mom and my brother.
You knowing me still say staying loyal to my my
dad and he's in jail, so she can't just find

(14:44):
a boyfriend and like right, so she just stayed in
the Houstil now everybody moved out and it was just
me and my mom and my brother. I'm sure your
mom was concerned about you too, though, because for a
minute she would probably like, look, I don't if this
is gonna work out, because you actually ended up going
to jail too. So how was that for her? Because

(15:05):
I'm sure that made her really concerned. The word like
she'll break down, cry them me, I'm not at the
police station, let's start crying. Started panicking, Like I'd be
scared to tell her that she have a heart attack,
like like those police calls. Like what she's like like

(15:26):
if I call her like in the middle of money, Hey, wait,
what's up? What's up? Your concerned on? Like if I'm okay,
because I'd be in the streets every day, you know
what I mean? Like she's used to bad calls and ships.
So remember like my dad, she's getting calls from my
dad like huh in jail for murdered in twenty years

(15:48):
like you know what I mean. So she's just very
paranoid a ship. But she's an Asian woman, like you
wouldn't even do you want to wear it? Like if
you see her, she she she would not wear it.
She talks professional and stuff like that. She'll bring it
out of her you know when she's around us, like
she's like a little bod y'all, like she could. She's
a vodka. You don't put her through a lot? Do

(16:09):
you feel bad about back then all the stuff you
put your mom through. Now she caused us her money
makes now now that's right to do. What does your
brother do? Yeah, so he doesn't get into trouble? Was
he were you the troublemaker and he was good? Or

(16:29):
y'all both was in trouble. We're both in trouble man
and then her crazy. Yeah, so like she go to
work and leave me and my brother at home. So
in the hood, how do her family feel about her
being with a black man? Because I know my dad
is Asian and my Asian family was not that accepting
of us at first, and now like you know what

(16:51):
it is. My grandmother was never like that. Like my
grandmother took advantage of every opportunity she had, so like
like she's cool with me and in the neighborhood that
she feels like this is a blessing where she's at,
Like she's like me, he doesn't take us a lot
to be impressed. You feel me, like get through it,
you know what I mean. Like my grandmother like a

(17:12):
g but she would like co and like everybody would
run away, like like she would be in the alley
and like they'll be gambling and everybody renovation walked by
like a big big stack of money like bbes and
like you know, but like my my uncle's and stuff.

(17:32):
They would come. They were sneaking to the house and
coming to the house. But then my grandmother came home
one time and then like they had to like a
wig on my uncle my uncle's head and like like
he was a grand what it was like he was
like he was like a guy, you know. Then I
don't think my grandmother was really too like focused on

(17:53):
like black people doing with her. But then when she
like had a baby with my mother. When they had
a baby with my mother. She's like, yeah, this is
what it is. You know. She wasn't really on it
like that. That's good. That's a positive thing. Now, when
did you and Corey decide to make it public, because
I'm sure y'all had to be dating behind the scenes
for a minute before you were like, okay, we can
let people know now. Really, Like I posted you all

(18:16):
my birthdays really watching Yeah, I wasn't watching it, okay.
I was just more little key and it like it's
just when her she like posted like four pictures like that,
so it's like, you know what I mean, Like before
I posted her like, I'm just like on the boat
because her my birthdey is made tenth and her birth
is May eleven, m murus. Yeah okay, you said it

(18:43):
was her idea for the vacation, right, Yeah. Yeah, she
wanted to go on. So once y'all posted up the
pictures and everything, be honest, I know women was already
in your d M. But did the d ms go
a little bit crazier because sometimes people want what they
can't have, right, So did that happen for you like
a few but not really don't people know, like I'll

(19:06):
be post my girl like every day, like so they
get it with my girl? You know what I mean?
Was anyone mad? Different one and nigga like that doesn't
really posted girl or like I'm not really shown it
like you know what I mean? But like the understand,
was any girls mad at to like? Um? I thought
I thought it was gonna be us? Yeah, did you

(19:28):
have to cut anyone off? I was going through the
biggest headache before. I don't want uh no other relationships
before okay, everything before Corey don't matter y'all. Okay, just
did you find out you guys broke up when y'all
posted the picture? So what about sex? Right? Do you

(19:59):
initiate sex or do you like a more aggressive woman
that can initiate sex with you whatever? Like VI right?
I don't know what I mean both ways, like she
when she's like when she wants, when she wants and
when want you know, she just points out your dick
print you know what to do? Has anybody ever turned

(20:30):
you down because your dick print was too big for them?
And by the dick print, I mean just the dick
yeah for sure for real? Okay, too much pressa too much.

(20:51):
That was a good one and a good job. So
what about protection? Do you are you like uh rang, yeah, baby,
I like it? Row kind of guy? Or do you
make sure you traveled a Trojan guy? Trojan guy? After this?

(21:17):
So let me have this. When you when Drake, when
you went on tour with Drake? Right, how did things
change immediately? Because we know that you were like Drake's
favorite rapper from Toronto, then you went on tour with him,
how did things like in your personal life where there
are a lot more people trying to be in your circle?
What happened after that? That is a game changer, because
like I went to Europe and we opened up in

(21:40):
Europe and the whole year loved me. I was kind
up in in Europe for a whole year after like
I just stayed in Europe, you know, That's why. And
then that went to and then they kind of like
while I was waiting for like trial, they made me

(22:01):
able to like stay in Europe. How would that school?
That's good? They gave you a lot of leniency with that. Yeah,
I was on house arrest. But then they said, oh yea,
if you go to Europe, you could just live your
life I just they just don't want you ask in
Canada no more. I mean to say, we're going out

(22:21):
where you gotta go. Yeah, they even like they like
to be in America. They like kind of like to
sit yeah cool, like please papers they needed to sign
and just gave it to like my immigration lawyer, you know,
because the Canada heard that you get money for like
being an artist like that from the government right for,

(22:44):
Like I guess people get so much money for you know,
I just like that's so crazy. Network still get money
from them right now for being an artist, Like you're
paying you to stay out of Canada. That's the only
thing knowing me, Like like for do you dance for

(23:05):
the bands like Tony Man's all types of words. Whenever
they feel like you know what they have. They have
like a grand program. So in Canada, like I guess,
like we pay so much taxes like that, there's like
a budget for like um median artists. Yeah, they like
the government just kind of picks and choose where who

(23:26):
should get it and stuff. But like a lot of
kids in the streets are not really like hip and
like they're not signed up for soul can and stuff
like that. But like all my brothers and before my
friends at rap and make sure they get their soul
cans and that's just standard. But like some of these
kids are blind. They don't know who tax, they don't

(23:47):
know who to talk to. So so all that money
is just going to like other people, like even rock stars,
like jazz artist is like regular artists in Canada that
they're not even doing nothing. They're just just make music
and you wouldn't even know about them free money. Yeah,
is there a division with artists and stuff like that

(24:09):
in Canada or is there some kind of unity? Like
have you spoken to Justin Bieber and I know you
worked with until every Lanes before, but like, how how
is it trying to come up as a artist in Canada?
Toronto is like they follow whatever is right, real and authentic,
you know, like if it's like bac and phoning, they
don't gravitate to it. That's just Toronto for you. Like

(24:32):
more majority of people like I don't want you to
make it in Toronto, you know, like they're like kick
another person down to step on another step, you feel me,
So they're like, even though I'm doing my things, there's
a lot of people that like are waiting for my
down for praying for my downfall. You know enough, how

(24:53):
do you feel about because they say his accent changes
a lot. Is that like coming in in Canada because
it's different areas or like how did that work? Now?
You know what it is? It's like only Toronto got
that that Like that in Canada is like regular English,
you know what I mean, Like Montreal got French, but

(25:16):
Toronto has like way more culture. Like that's where like
the majority of the black people went to Toronto. You
know a lot of Caribbean people too in Toronto, so
they talk like yo kuan, yeah, you know what I mean,
they'd be like just a taste of ship like so
they switch up their access to a Toronto like waste catti.

(25:38):
You know. Like that's why New York is funny because
when I was in New York and and I was like,
what a rowdy you have? But he's like, man, what's
wrong with this catty? Like you know, like man are
moving like a catti? I was like, what what do
you say? That's what we say back home, you know.
So I was like, I guess that's like from Jamaica,

(25:59):
like did making cultures so like like Bogey like we
say bogy like and they say bogey too and like
a cigarette. Yeah yeah, yeah, in New York they say bogue.
Nowhere else in America they say that. So I was like,
so New York is like kind of the same vod
because the Caribbean, it's a big Caribbean. It's like being

(26:22):
in Brooklyn and there's all these Caribbean people and we
went there with other Caribbean people. They use their paths.
Why yeah, you like it. Don't talk like that around me.
Yea goes down in Toronto like somebody would talk to
you regular regular, but then they have a full blown
pat to accent, Like my friends do that all the time,
Like they don't how to switch it up and stuff

(26:44):
like that. You know. So with Kit, I feel like
she gets trolled a lot online for like her body
and her body type. Do y'all talk about that, and like,
you know, because she's not insecure at all. I love
her body. I keep telling that, like you're bringing that
like culture back at two thousand, you know. And then

(27:07):
come along somewher a real box ship, you know what
I mean. I like how she looks. I think she
looks very fit. She's very fit. Yeah, yeah, I love
her body yea, and her little booty be shaking too,
Like don't it don't matter that you know, little booties
matter too. But she knows how to make some shape.
Who's that? Who' said? I love you first? I probably

(27:30):
did how long? Nah? Actually I don't know. She likes
she's really like she knows what she wants to know
when she's seen it's new. Yeah, so she was like
drawing on that. She already knew what it was like,
like it's the same energy right now, same energy I

(27:51):
have got from her first day like me. But it
had to be fast that y'all said, I got exchange that.
I love you right pretty quick. That's how the relationships
he's like, I came in. Yeah, when you like work
with somebody, you know, somebody, you foke with them, you know,
like that's like just regular people. Like when you meet
somebody you know with them, How did you know you

(28:13):
could trust her? Because, like you said, you had a
problem with trust back in Toronto, But how did you
know you could trust Coy? She just she doesn't come
off like that. She more like tries to put me
into light. She got me like, oh yeah, I got
a photo shoot man, I'm throwing pressing in it, like
press the come, come, come, come, come, let's do the
photo shoot together. Like me, I'm like, I don't know,

(28:34):
I'm good, Like it's good for like you know, she
helps me work, like she'd be like she just helped
me out, Like she's supportive of you that she's supportive,
like no matter what, like if there's an opportunity, she'll
try to throw me in there, like because she's going
through a lot of her industry stuff right now, so
like like a lot of like I got my like

(28:56):
a lot of opportunities on myself and stuff. But like
whenever she could, she throws me in, like she brings
me wherever she wants to know. And I know there
was nobody before her, but like, did you ever have
an issue where maybe somebody that was around you a
lot didn't really support necessarily support you and your musical road?

(29:22):
This sound like you had an awful relationship. I mean,
clearly it doesn't even exist anymore. It was so bad.
But sometimes you do. Sometimes you get so used to
being in a bad relationship that you think that's what
a relationship is supposed to be, Like that's right, it's
refreshing to see that you don't have those feelings, like

(29:42):
like what what coy is like? It's like a breathing,
you know, like I got somebody that actually loved me.
So you guys have been discussing marriage. Why you what

(30:05):
that means? And then they they were like young and
you know, just getting their careers off the ground. They
let them enjoy themselves, stop trying to first. But you
don't have any kids yet, do you? So is that
something that's on it? Are you looking forward to having kids? Yeah?

(30:26):
He said later on yeah later right now he's still
using them condoms that booty. Oh yeah, yeah, I forgot
Trojan chosen guy. Whatever can fit now. You also talk
about liking women who are natural right and like naturally pretty.
Maybe you say, oh, you don't need makeup, you don't
have to do all this and all that. So what
are your thoughts about just women like doing things to

(30:48):
enhance themselves or any type of like surgery or facial
fillers and things all that right? Make to you who
you are? You know, like, I feel like, however you
want to come like, I ain't got no tattoos nothing,
like however I came in this room I'm leaving, you know,
like that's how I look at it, Like I don't

(31:11):
want to do my teeth, Like actually I'm feel weird,
like you know, what's why want your teeth are fine,
but like just like people, you're being a start now
you gotta go to do your teeth. They didn't know.
It's like part of the rapper kit a chain and
teeth and will get the big see I look easy,

(31:43):
I'll get some girls. Stuff like that. I could take
off and throw it. Yeah, I'm going in the casket
like I came in and did your family put that
in you? Or that's just something you've always had, like
that you lived with something stuck like beautiful things. I
just like like like like I don't like dark colors

(32:04):
and stuff like that. Just like I like like mountains
and stuff like that. That's I don't know, I'm just nature.
Like I used to go camping a lot. Yeah, I
used to go, Like my my teacher, you'd be like
a motivated teacher, take all the bad kids from the
neighborhood for maybe come on first on the list. But

(32:29):
I like, look at how that teacher made an impact
in his life though. That's important. Yeah, exactly did he
teach you how to start fire from scratch like Survivor?
Or did you all have like lighters like tears and
ship like that? Like he just teach us like self discipline,
like just teach us like how to be a man

(32:50):
and stuff, you know, and bring all the kids from
like even like kids that like they're from like different
areas that don't get along. So they'll bring the little
kids together so they know each other from start going
beefing each other, you know. Yet speak to him like

(33:11):
do y'all still keep in touch? Yeah? Yeah, Like I
helped with their basketball team. That's nice. They got like
a basketball team is um Like I used to play
for it, and a lot of my friends they went
to the NBA, like like like Nikkil and sha Alexander
there like cousins and stuff and like in Jass Jackson,

(33:33):
Like I used to play with these guys all the time.
So like if I wasn't this kid, I'll be in
the NBA. Okay, Jake, don't we don't know that for
me on the line up with the rap nigga, we're
gonna we're gonna see because there's gotta be some video
out there and you're playing basketball. We gotta go roll
the tape. Don't be who wasn't a little baby? Don't

(33:57):
be a little baby now? Yeah, you go ahead to
see your skills in the celebrity game. Yeah, what's happening?
Do you think you better in the j Cole? I
have some smoke for Clever. I want to see this.
You know, he could play baseball and everything, Like I

(34:19):
see him hit that baseball when I was crazy. Right
now you're practicing multi talented. Well you never thought you
never thought about getting a tattoo though, it was never
a thought, like you played with the idea what you

(34:39):
would get? Nothing? No, my mom always used to try
to tell me to get a tattoo. Really, she wanted
me to go get a tear drop. She like she
needs one. At this point, she called me three am
one night, like I'm drying when you dropping my home? Yeah,

(35:02):
maybe you know you should get that's a great no way, mama.
Do you know what that means? Yeah? She does? Mama? Gee? Right,
has she met Coy yet? Your mama? Really I could
see that. She seemed like somebody appears with like, yeah,

(35:24):
Cod's dying to go Oka Canada? What about ben Zino?
I know it seems like the two of them have
kind of rekindled some kind of something. Have you met him, Yeah,
him FaceTime and from back in the day up to him.

(35:44):
You know, yeah, whatever makes her happy. We gotta make
sure whatever's best. All right, I'm gonna go to this
restaurant in and oh yeah, the crab spot. I've been there.
He was dressed like a crab. I've seen in one
of the pictures they had him dressed in the crab outfits.
Come along way, man, Now, what about jewelry and stuff

(36:08):
like that? I see you have your chain on, but
you know, I know certain things like that don't matter,
but are like cars, jewelry, clothes, Is that important to you?
I just invest in myself kind of like so like
I have like three cars, but I really just read
them out. M hmm. I do. Like I got cars,
but it's more for like rental to make money off

(36:31):
of investment. Lisn't jump in my car and go do it.
But then tomorrow when I leave to New York, I
could go give it out for the week because I
feel like we brushed past something. So your mother and
your father are still together, even though he was sentenced
to twenty years no, so she um. She eventually got

(36:54):
over and like you know, and then we end up
she end up getting a new boyfriend, and well we're young,
so like I was like seven and my brother was
like eleven, and this new boyfriend had always put his
hands on my mom. But then like we couldn't do
like we're like young, we didn't really understand that first

(37:14):
couple of late, like a couple of years down the line,
we're like this niked like you from me, and then
and kind of like we banned them from the neighborhood
from me. Damn, that's right, not the house, but the
it's not your neighborhood from the country. Y'all not going

(37:35):
baby boy us like real gee. So like all the
older guys fun with us, happy mm hmm, and all
the older guys like they loved us and always gave
us handing down the bills, give us motorcycles, bits clothes,
like send us to the store and like keep the change,

(37:55):
roll their dice from me. I'll roll the dice for
them if I went and keep the whole m h
if something. Yeah, and I'm doing this like eight nine,
and like people that are doing this and like the
guy that's making me winning stuff. Later on he dies,
like you feel me, Like it's sad because like I'm young,

(38:17):
and I feel like funk, that was my big homie.
You feel me. But he died, stabbed him and stuff.
He got stabbed up, and I just always looked up
to him even though I was so young. You feel me.
So your mother didn't move on since then because she
knew that y'all was going around everybody out the damn
neighborhood alcohol. But then there's another guy like like he

(38:39):
is from the neighborhood and then he's trying to like
he ended up like having a baby fell me. So
we're like, okay, he was stuck with him. Yeah, we're
stuck with this, Like even this one. Is he cool though?
Is he cool? At least? I hope with him? But
he got he end up hadn't recorded to America. You know,

(39:04):
she's just she caused me, me and my brother and
her boyfriend. She don't need one. Well, you're cheating on her.
Do you just speak to your dad a lot? Though? Yeah? So,
like my dad got locked up when when I was
like six months and he called me every day for wow,

(39:27):
that's good, called me two three times a day and
when he was annoying, but he should be getting out soon.
Now he gets out, but then he like they they
put him back in, like he got out, send him
Macca and got him, send him was just I need

(39:49):
to get him the system. You know, he's like he's
on parole for life. Wow, so any little thing here.
You can't even be around anybody when you on parole. Yeah,
you can't be around nobody, and you gotta like tell
them everywhere weird. Yeah, you do have the deluxe Gardner
Expressed album coming out this summer, right, So how many

(40:12):
new songs are on that? And I watched the movie
too that you did originally? Oh yeah, so you spent
some money on that. That sounds like you always have money.
It's really dope, though, Sony, because she know that's how
you're laughing, because you did spend the grid for that.

(40:33):
How many new songs are on the deluxe? Six songs?
I got, like, uh song like Little t J Sweety Hid? Wow?
Is that who you was recently working with? Little t J?
When you was in New York? Because I know you
was working on some new music in New York. I

(40:54):
know I was working on my own music, So no
features on that. You was just on just working. No
sneaky features, huh, because why would need the way to
New York? I did some Beego freestyles. H I did

(41:17):
a genius freestyle I did was just a little run.
I gotta do a radio room with ya. Got me
into the breakfast from Yeah, you gotta do your radio
run because we're waiting to see you be everywhere too.
Everything open up the you know what's going on in Toronto?
I got that. Oh you know what I mean. I

(41:38):
got all the information y'all need. I'll give you all
the whole culture. Yeah, let's do it. Why did you
do a deluxe album instead of doing another EP? I
got one plus one? Okay, technicalities, I do feel like
too like enough people then get to hear some of

(42:01):
this music, and I think what you make in the
second round. This is part of the whole breakage helping
me right now. It's just everything like I'm not I'm
I'm like a legend in Canada and stuff like that,
you know what I mean. So for me to come here,
it's like starting fresh, you know. So when it goes
platinum here and America, then you and Coy are gonna

(42:22):
have a threesome, right, y'all don't do things like that.
How much do you love though, having a girl that's
in the same business as you, y'all get to do
the red carpet together, bet Awards, celebrate together. It's I
think that's really nice. Do you think that, um, you'd

(42:43):
rather be with somebody in this business? Yeah? I think
her energy and personality and she thinks she could. She's
surprised me every day and stuff like when she and
her feelings and stuff like talking like man, people shouldn't

(43:04):
do this and shouldn't do that. Y'all should do this.
That should be to me because like you know, and
like she like a little boss lady. You know. Did
you do something to celebrate her being on the cover
of Double XL for the Freshman No, we're just just
I'd be wrong with her every day, Like all right, well,

(43:27):
we appreciate you for talking. We had a good time
when she did live service, like definitely for the Energy Show,
saying her our love because we went we went into Misha.
We got your side of things, you know as well.
She said she loves loves Um loves her and to
say her Yeah, she's dope. Yeah, take care of our girl, okay,

(43:48):
because if not, we're gonna have to be all in
your comments leaving um you know, nasty emojis. We got
to chase you out the neighborhood. We're gonna bad you
from the neighborhood from New York. Yeah, and you can't
breathe anyway, so you already on strike one and two.

(44:11):
I mean, like, New York is not the cleanest place.
We all know that. I can I can't agree with that.
We still love it though, Yeah we're here. I love
me beautiful over there. Don't try to clean it, clean
it up, cleaning, damage control. They come to damage control
like me. No, But New York is like Toronto, Like
we got the same type of people, and that's why

(44:31):
I like New York. But I just like the atmosphere
better in l A. I love the people in New
York any more. Okay, there we go clean up reconstruction.
Yeah yeah, you take down some of them buildings. Uh yeah,

(44:52):
we don't want to do that, and then it wasn't
in a good outcome, So we can't build out. We
can only build up there. But President, thank you so much.
We really enjoy having you and you know, we're looking forward.
Do we have a release date for the deluxe? Yeah,
you're still working on it. It's quite gonna be on

(45:13):
any other songs like what's happening? Yeah, for sure. Every
day they're working on music together every day. But now
sometimes sometimes I'm under she's just working on her own music.
Sometimes she and I'm just working on my own music.
It's all right. We put in mind hearing some love music. Yeah,

(45:36):
I look up because we don't mean the how this ship.
We're trying to go to um Harris. You're also doing
rolling loud, Yeah I know, but we're trying to get
to fashion again. You saw you a model, So we're
looking forward today under the carpet this all the time.
All look up while guys not like being pretty boys

(45:57):
like they hate being called a pretty boy. They do
because it's not masculine. You got something to prove, lying
on them, to prove that she's not the funk going on.
You know, Hey, you gotta embrace that pretty I like that.
You know you know exactly what I happened. Alright, Well, Pressent,

(46:17):
thank you so much. It's been a pleasure, and we
will talk to you and see you in person. Soon
in New York,
