Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, everyone, welcome back to bet your Happy Hour. I'm
Joe and we are here with Kelsey Anderson. Kelsey, welcome
to Best for Happy Hour.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Thanks, I'm happy to be here.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
You know what's crazy is this is I think the
first time we've ever had you on solo.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Yeah it is.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Yeah, I know, it's crazy.

Speaker 4 (00:19):
Well, we're happy to have you. Thanks for coming on
and a.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Bullshit Kelsey, I mean, you weren't really doing any interviews
during your season and then.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
We can't get you on im. We missed our chance.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Well let's get into it. How are you doing, what's new?
Where are you recording from today?

Speaker 5 (00:39):
I'm in La in our house. It's coming together. It's
just you know, taking a minute because we moved in
right around Black Friday and so everything was just kind
of delayed with coming in.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
But we're happy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, but we're happy to
be here. It's awesome.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
So if Joey, if Joey didn't get Dancing with the Stars,
would you guys be in New York right now? You think?

Speaker 2 (01:05):
I'm not sure we would be.

Speaker 5 (01:06):
I think that doing Dance with the Stars and coming here,
we kind of fell in love with La and the weather,
especially there's a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Of opportunity here, So we ended up.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
Just kind of deciding, like, I think that this is
the best of both worlds for both of us.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
You know, it's got the beach, it's got the good weather,
but it's also a little bit of a hustle and
bustle city. So yeah, I'm excited to be here.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
And I don't know if we would have necessarily ended
up in New York, but there was a lot of
options out there.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
I was kind of focused on New York, but I
fell in love with La.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
So, yeah, who do you guys hang out with the
most out there Tanner?

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Tanner?

Speaker 4 (01:42):
And uh sounds right, he's your third way La I follow.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
I mean, I can't get into my Instagram. I've been
locked out for like six days at this point.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
I don't know start over, I don't.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Know what's going on. But I followed Tanner on Instagram,
and when Joey was on Dancing with the Stars, I
would have thought he was dating.

Speaker 5 (01:59):
Joe No, honestly, you're joking that we were.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Yeah, yeah, I love it. It's so funny. How are
you liking La though? Overall you're like settling in how's
the place how's the decorating going.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
Decorating's going great, Joey lets me take most control. But
we also have pretty similar taste in sal Like I'll
usually like pick something and I'm like.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
What do you think of this? And then he's like
I love it. I'm like perfect.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
So oh yeah, so you posted you're looking for like
abstract arts, looking.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
For abstract art.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
I've gotten a couple of people sending me like little
like different artists that I really like, so I've got
to look through them.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
I'm just I'm looking for like.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
A really big piece, and a lot of pieces that
I've been finding are more like about this big, but
I just want to.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Should almost look for like a poster, yeah, that you
can frame?

Speaker 4 (02:45):
I feel like, right.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
I also see where you can buy canvas, Like you
can buy a piece of art that's just like on
canvas and then you kind of like, I don't know,
build it yourself, you know what I mean, Like where
you like staple it into the wood.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
I don't, We'll figure it out.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Oh, like you buy the flat canvass and then you
like shape it to the friend. Yes, yeah that sunes
and times. I don't have that capability. I'm not at they.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Girl, what would you consider your your style, like your
your home, your interior design.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (03:17):
I like I would say I don't know like the
you know, specific names for them, you know, there's like
so many different names for different styles. But no, Yeah,
I would say that the vibe is cozy and a
little funky.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Okay, yeah, okay, So Dancing with the Stars is done.
We've moved to La. Are we wedding planning yet?

Speaker 2 (03:40):
We are about to.

Speaker 5 (03:43):
We haven't started yet because we are trying to figure
out location. But once we have a location kind of
you know, narrowed down, then we're gonna start wedding planning.
Our idea was that we didn't want to, you know,
stress and life has been really busy right now, and
so we don't want to put like a huge another
thing on our plate super fast.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
You know. Like we got engaged in two months.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
So we're taking this seriously and we're just enjoying life
right now and we're gonna start planning this year, which
we're excited for.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
That is really exciting.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
I feel like, at least for us, where we were
gonna get married was probably the hardest. Yeah, Like it
took us like two months to decide, and that was
like two months of actively trying to like research and
make a decision.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Yeah yeah, but we ran that, but we chose it
pretty quickly.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
Yeah yeah. We did go like one place.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
And let's just get I feel like that's gonna happen with.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Us pre pre discussion yeah once and then we had
we're like, we're pretty sure this is going to be
our choice, which was Charleston where we ended up getting married.
And we did not want to like fly around, like
we were like, if we go there and we like it,
like done, like we're sold, Like I don't need to see.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
That's so funny.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
Because one of our areas that we're thinking about is
the Carolinas.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Okay, we loved Charleston as a wedding destination mainly for
a lot of reasons, but like the downtown core is
just so great because like it's small, but there's lots
to do, so like we were always running into people.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
It felt like a.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
All the hotels are right next to each other. It's
basically one block. That's nice when all your friends and
family come in, everyone's just like hanging out and it's
it has like a very it's like a. It's like
a great like casual bar vibe, but also like nice.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
It was.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
It was pretty perfect.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Well.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
We thought it was a good middle part between both
of us, like I'm in my family's in Louisiana, his
in Philly, and so that's like a good little segue,
you know, between the two states. Uh. And then we
also were kind of thinking maybe Italy, you know, like
a destination wedding, but then we were like, we don't
wanted to make it too hard for everyone, you know
going there.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Also, you could go to Italy. You could do Italy
and your heart.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
That's what we're thing to Southern like, yes it, yeah,
that's literally what we did.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
We're you guys, do it, do it. I'd be honored.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
I highly recommend that Italy. I mean, I love Italy.
I wish I I would move there.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Right.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
There's like homes in Tuscany that you could buy there,
like beautiful homes for decently priced.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Yeah, definitely for the New York or l I guess
so we're not we're not moving there, trust with one
immigration process at it today.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
So Kelsey, we've been following you on Instagram and we
saw speaking of wedding planning. We did see you do
a collab with David's Bridle.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Do you know what David's Bridle is like? Do you
know what part of the collab that was, you know, dresses? Yeah,
wedding dress I know, Yeah, I know. I was just
waiting for you to be like wedding planners or like
bridal makeup.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:50):
So I I shot their Spring twenty twenty five collection,
which was super exciting. I got to try on wedding
dresses for the first time. I'd never tried on my
mom's actually before that, but this was my first wedding
dress that I ever put on, and you know, as
an adult, and it was super fun. There was so
many beautiful dresses, and I feel like it kind of

(07:13):
gave me an idea maybe what I'm more so looking
for once that step comes for me. But all of
the dresses were just super timeless and classy and there
was a lot of detail put into them. So yeah,
it was a super super fun shoot. The whole team
was really great and yeah, I've had a fabulous time.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
So going in, did you have a style in mind
that you thought you would maybe want for when you
go pick your wedding dress and did that change at all?

Speaker 5 (07:39):
I mean, honestly, I've never had maybe a set in
stone like this is the exact shape and the exact
style that I want. But I definitely thought, you know,
I want something that's timeless and that's pretty simple. But
some of the dresses had a little bit more detailed
than maybe I would have thought that I would have
gravitated towards that I really really liked, like a lot
of the floral decal. I realized that I actually really

(08:02):
enjoyed wearing and I felt very beautiful and feminine and comfortable.
And I feel like that is a big thing with
like your wedding day. You want to be comfortable, right and.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Even oh yeah, oh yeah, I tried one on with pockets.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Yeah that's interesting.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Usually it's like the bigger skirts because they can hide it.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Yeah, but if you want to like throw your phone
or like lipstick or something in there, it's very very functional.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Oh I would definitely gogle with the pocket, right, put.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Your lipstick in there.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
Do you think I feel like a trend right now
which I actually really regret not hopping on. This is
people taking their mother or like a woman in their
life's wedding dress and kind of like re upping it
to feel like a little more like modern or like
them or whatever they want to do, and wearing it
for part of their wedding. Do you think you'll do
anything like that?

Speaker 2 (08:53):
I think maybe so. So my mom actually ended up
not wearing the wedding dress that she had, but.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
I think that I think that maybe I would take
like a piece of you know, some type of clothing
of hers that meant a lot to me and somehow
incorporate it into, you know, something in our wedding.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
For sure, I definitely want a piece of my mom
in in our wedding.

Speaker 5 (09:13):
And I think that I'm a very sentimental person. So
there's like a lot of ideas that I have of
like incorporating the people that aren't with us presently anymore
into our wedding, like Joey's grandma who passed away. She
was very very special to him, and saying with his grandpa,
and so I'm trying to think of ways that we
can still honor them because they were big people in

(09:35):
our lives.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
You know, yeah, I would, I would. I would start writing.
I would have a notebook and start writing some of
your ideas. Yeah, because once you start planning, it gets
very high right.

Speaker 4 (09:48):
Your phone.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
There was a bunch of things that I wanted and well.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
Some crazy stuff. It's not the same, but.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
I loved our wedding. Do you have any like major
want or do not want at your wedding?

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Not really, Honestly, I don't really.

Speaker 5 (10:09):
I feel like I need a wedding planner to help me, like,
you know, narrow down all the little.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Detail because I feel like there's so many details.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
The only thing that I really Joey and I both
have said is that we want it to just be
a big party, like after we say our vows, Like
we just want to have a big celebration.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
We want everyone on the dance floor. So I'm gonna
find the perfect band, perfect DJ.

Speaker 5 (10:29):
You know, whatever we choose. But yeah, I don't think
if there's anything that I'm like, absolutely not. I'm pretty open,
But I don't think I want everything to be super traditional,
like I want it to kind of just form to
how we feel is right for us.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
Yeah, and a wedding planner, Like we neither of us
are people that had like an exact vision we wanted
for our wedding. We were kind of just like, let's
figure this out as we go, and we had a
wedding planner. It does help a lot because obviously you're like,
I've never planned a wedding before, Like this is my
first time getting married, Like, let me turn to somebody
who's done this like a million times.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
Little advice.

Speaker 5 (11:06):
Yeah, and none of my siblings have gotten married. Joey's
sister has, and so we're definitely gonna, you know, lean
on her for a lot of advice and what she
liked and what maybe she didn't really like with her wedding.
And she knows both of us really well, so I
feel like she'll be able to also help us with that.
But my sister actually just got engaged this past Christmas,
so I'm trying to push her to get married first,

(11:28):
so I can, you know, you scope out what she's
doing and what I like of it.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
But we'll see how a right.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Sorry, Okay, So moving on from wedding planning post show,
what's been some of your favorite things some.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Of my favorite things post show?

Speaker 1 (11:44):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (11:44):
I feel like we've been able to travel a lot,
which has been really nice, but also just making a
home together. Joey and I it's been really fun and
really special, and it's cool to see how I was
really worried. I've never lived with a significant other before,
and so I was a little like like, oh, you know.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Living with the boy.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
We'll see how this goes, especially especially but it has
been seamless.

Speaker 5 (12:09):
Like Joey is joke, Joey's the best roommate, Like he
is such a good he's very clean, like he's very considerate,
and yeah, we just living together has been a breeze.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Honestly, I cook Joey.

Speaker 5 (12:23):
Actually the first I don't know y'all did, probably like
the you know, whenever you were in hiding and everything.
Joey tried cooking me a steak and it is, I
always is the most well done steak I've ever had.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
He was like he ever cooked a steak before, He's
probably gonna be.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
So but he destroyed that steak. It was so funny.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
He still wants his redemption soon, so I'll probably let
him do that. He is a good soux chef, though
he loves to like help me like chop up things
and stuff. But typically I like to just kind of
cook on my own and let him, like, you know,
go do something else.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
Have you ever been to what's the sandwich spot in
New Orleans? Turkey and wolfs?

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Oh my gosh, I love Turkey and the Wolf. Yes,
so good.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
I have his cookbook that I really want to go with.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Mason, right Mason, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
The chef, the chef of New Orleans.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
Okay, he actually has another restaurant now and it's called
I can't remember it, but I will. I will send
it to y'all. It's really really good. It's like an
eighties Martini bar themed restaurant.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Serena's never been to Orleans.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Gotta go?

Speaker 4 (13:34):
I know, I do want to go. Was it so
cool having the Super Bowl?

Speaker 2 (13:38):
Gosh, it was so cool.

Speaker 5 (13:40):
It was amazing just to see how much of New
Orleans culture they put into the Super Bowl that maybe
a lot of people didn't realize. Even it was just
so beautiful, even like the super Bowl logo was like a.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Bead design that this apparently like.

Speaker 5 (13:53):
Sixteen year old queen of this crew in New Orleans made,
and so the logo that everyone was seeing was, oh.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
Kelsey's camera is having a mind of its own right now.

Speaker 5 (14:07):
But anyways, Yeah, So it was really cool to see
all of the detail of New Orleans that was put
into the Super Bowl that maybe other people didn't realize,
but as somebody who lived there, it was really special
to see and it was just awesome also to see
everyone enjoying the city so much.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
That is so cool.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Like I would never pick up on any of that,
but I feel like like hearing that they take the
culture of the city into heart, like when they're putting
on that event. I love that because I know if
it was like in Toronto, which it'll never be, but
if it was and they were doing little touches that
I was picking up on as someone that's from there,
I'd be like, this is so fun that you have

(14:44):
the ability to like appreciate that on another level.

Speaker 5 (14:47):
And also for you, like as a Canadian, there's a
lot of you know, French influence in your culture and
it's the same with Louisiana's in New Orleans. So I
feel like maybe you would be able to, you know,
pick up on that if you came to the city.

Speaker 4 (14:59):
Maybe by like six years of.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Help me out, okay, if you if you were in
New Orleans for a layover and you have you know,
twelve hours, no no, no, no, you have like two
hours you have two hours, you go to one place
where would you suggest could be a restaurant, could be
a park.

Speaker 5 (15:20):
So I think City Park is so beautiful. They also
have it's closer to the airport than going all the
way into the city because the airport in New Orleans
is actually in Kenner, which is in Jefferson Jefferson Parish,
which is like probably thirty minutes from downtown. So if
you only have two hours, I would make me suggest
going to Lakeview, which is in New Orleans City Park,
and then you can go to Cafe Dumont and like

(15:41):
sit and have some viignets in a cafe la and
you know, just be able to enjoy the beautiful weather.
Hopefully it's not too hot, you know, but the trees
there are just so beautiful, and they have the this
moss that hangs off the trees and it's it's very beautiful.

Speaker 4 (15:58):
Oh that's so nice.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
I saw you were with like a bunch of girls
from your season recently.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
I think you were celebrating like Rachel's. Yes, yeah, how
was that?

Speaker 2 (16:07):
It was so much fun. We had a blast.

Speaker 5 (16:09):
I wish that we could have all been together longer,
but yeah, it was super fun. Celebrating Rachel, and we
did like a little power point night where we just.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Like I saw each other. Yeah, it was just there.

Speaker 4 (16:21):
Huh who was there?

Speaker 5 (16:23):
Like? Oh it was chrisa Autumn, Daisy, Rachel, Leah, Sydney.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Who else. I'm trying to think.

Speaker 5 (16:36):
I need to go down the list, uh, Lexi and
I think I think there might have been another girl
or two. I can't think of everyone.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Right off the regardless, that's that's enough.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
It was all of them staying at Leah's house the
first night.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
I was like, I'm gonna go.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
To my own beds, don't follow me.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Four minutes from Lea.

Speaker 5 (17:02):
So I was like, if anyone wants to come sleep
over here, but they already had a whole setup with
like mattresses and everything.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
But yeah, big sleepover.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
Do you guys? Do you guys think LA forever or
you haven't thought that?

Speaker 5 (17:15):
No?

Speaker 2 (17:15):
I think that right now.

Speaker 5 (17:16):
We're just LA for now and we'll figure out, you know,
if this is somewhere that we want to stay you
know more. But we only have a year lease right now,
and we'll see if we want to keep it. I mean,
we just got our house together, so it's like we
might end up staying another year or so.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
I feel like one goes by so fat. I always
suggest like, yeah, it almost feels like by the time
you get settled, you're like, oh, do we have to
like start looking for a new place now.

Speaker 5 (17:42):
Like exactly like we started from scratch, Like I sold
all of my furniture and so did Joey and so
we like honestly didn't really have anything coming here, so
like getting everything together was.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
A lot with a couple of months.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
Oh yeah, that's intense. That's intense for sure.

Speaker 5 (18:00):
Thoughts on Grant season, Oh, I'm I'm excited to see
the end result for sure. But I mean I think
that it's a great season. You know, there's always got
to be a little bit of drama. There's always a
little bit of like are you here for the right reasons?

Speaker 2 (18:15):
You know? But but yeah, it's been great. I've been
enjoying following along for sure.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Does it give you anxiety to watch because you were
the past season?

Speaker 2 (18:28):
You know, it makes me appreciate coming out the other
side and being where we are at now. It is.

Speaker 5 (18:37):
Like surreal, like watching it back and thinking, like, you
know that all of these women's I don't know.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
It's just like all of these women experience these.

Speaker 5 (18:46):
Things, and you know, Grants with someone now, hopefully, And
I don't know. I remember going through that and watching
it back, and some parts were harder for me, some
parts were easier. But yeah, I'm wishing Grant the best.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
And yeah, we'll see, we'll see what.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Has he reached out to Joey at all recently? Like
I did they have a little get to give some advice?

Speaker 5 (19:07):
Chet, Yeah, Joe, he's definitely like, you know, gave Grant
some advice and talked to him, and he's you know,
showed his support and told him like if he needs anything,
he is there for him. And I've given the same.
And I know Katie and Zach probably have two a
charity in Dowton. So yeah, we're all trying to support
each other. And I'm sure Jen's also reached out to him.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
For the sake of this conversation, let's assume he's with someone.
What advice would you give her?

Speaker 5 (19:40):
Take everything with a grain of salt watching it back,
you know, remember the moments that y'all had together fully,
because I mean, you know, this experience is a big
experience and a show can all obviously obviously only show
so much because it's all condensed down into what hour show.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
So I would just.

Speaker 5 (19:58):
Say, you know, remember the mom that y'all had, be
open and honest about your feelings, don't you know, can
them up because then you know they it's just not good.
I think that it's best to communicate your feelings with
your person, take it with the greatest salt. I think
therapy also really helped Joey and I understand like our
frustrations and like just trying to funnel through such a

(20:21):
unfamiliar territory.

Speaker 4 (20:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Yeah, What would you say was the most difficult part
of the process from beginning, filming after the show for you?

Speaker 5 (20:34):
I think that it was just I mean, you're reliving
all of these moments that you already went through, and
you're seeing other aspects of it that you maybe didn't see.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
Before, with like his relationship with other women.

Speaker 5 (20:46):
And I think that it was hard for me at
the beginning, being like why.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Didn't you already know me?

Speaker 5 (20:54):
But but no, seriously, I think that Joey navigated through
it like the best way he possibly could. So I
was always very appreciative of him, like always thinking about
you know how his partner would think about his actions
throughout it.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
But I honestly, I would say that I think that
it wasn't as hard for me as I thought it
was going to be, if I'm being.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
Honest, Oh that's good.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
Do you ever wish like I wish I just didn't watch,
or like I wish.

Speaker 5 (21:20):
I Yeah, no, because I mean I think that well honestly,
So I watched the full episodes up to a certain part,
and then up to a certain part I would only
watch mine, like I didn't kept her hometowns.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
Yeah, yeah, it's easier to like filter out exactly.

Speaker 5 (21:35):
Then I would like put my headphones and I was
just kind of like scrolling on my phone. But I
would only really watch my parts after a certain episode.
I think it was like hometowns or so, just because
I was like, I don't need to you know, we
are at a different spot now.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
This was months ago.

Speaker 5 (21:49):
But but yeah, I think that honestly, even going into
the whole process, I thought that I was going to
maybe be more jealous or like, you know, I don't know,
just my feeling would be more heightened than they were.
But honestly, going through the process, I just like was
very appreciative of the women that were there, of Joey
and the time that whenever we had time together, the

(22:11):
way he focused on our conversations and made me feel special.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
But yeah, it was. It is a crazy process.

Speaker 4 (22:19):
Oh yeah, is it ever?

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (22:23):
I mean, I mean it works though, it does. Any
Any travel plans coming up, you guys, going anywhere?

Speaker 3 (22:28):
Cool?

Speaker 1 (22:28):
Anything?

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Right?

Speaker 5 (22:30):
We were just in Hawaii for a second with American
for American Idol, which was super.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
Cool to be able to walk. Yeah, it was really.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
How did that all play out?

Speaker 2 (22:38):
Well? I guess we will see in April, but.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
It was really well yet.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
I just didn't realize that they filmed American Idol in Hawaii.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Yeah, I think it's up to a certain point.

Speaker 5 (22:52):
They filmed them all over the place, and then soon
in April, I think they start the live ones.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
Okay, you're auditions this one. I think that.

Speaker 5 (23:04):
I think after a couple of rounds after auditions, then
they start doing live and people start voting.

Speaker 4 (23:11):
Gosh, yeah, okay, I haven't watched it in so long,
but that's so cool.

Speaker 5 (23:14):
Random, I know, but I feel like the season is
going to be really good. We got to see a
lot of really talented people.

Speaker 4 (23:20):
Who are the judges now Katie Perry, No.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
Carrie Underwood. Oh yeah, I know.

Speaker 5 (23:25):
I thought it was Katy Perry too, but now they
have Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
We have to ask before before you leave. Any updates
on your father and his relationship Marky Mark.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Yes he is.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
Mark's been on this podcast multiple times because he's in
his car and not had any surface, so he had
to liked.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
He told me all about that. I think he had
a doctor's appointment that went over.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
Yes, he was like trying to make the podcast after
like a delayed doctor's appointment, and we're like, look like
you are a real for doing this, but like it's okay,
Like let's just delay it a little bit.

Speaker 4 (24:03):
Get home. I really appreciated his commitment.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:09):
No, but Mark is in a relationship with her name
is Barbara, and she is the best. She's super sweet,
she has great daughters. We got to spend Christmas with
them altogether, and yeah, they are going strong and he's
super happy. And now he's in La a lot because
she lives in La So I get to see him

(24:31):
pretty often now too.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
That's really nice. How long has it been.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
I don't know when they started dating, maybe like maybe October, November, December, January,
maybe like five months or months.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
Yeah, wow, she is I never know what. Yes, One
Tree Hill?

Speaker 4 (24:52):
Now, okay, I didn't either, but she plays.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
Nanny.

Speaker 4 (24:57):
Yeah, nanny dev Okay, was that crazy for you?

Speaker 5 (25:00):
I never watched the show, so I didn't know, but
I'm pretty sure one of my sisters did.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
But it's funny.

Speaker 5 (25:06):
A bunch of my friends are big fans of the show,
and they were freaking out and I was like, Oh,
I feel like I need to go watch it.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
But they're like, she's a little crazy on the show.
But I was like, in real life, she's not crazy.
She's great.

Speaker 4 (25:16):
That's all the matter I need realized.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
Did you watch gossip Girl?

Speaker 2 (25:20):
No? I never watched gossip Girl.

Speaker 4 (25:22):
What a pivot?

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Yeah, that's.

Speaker 4 (25:25):
Right now.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
You asked me if I watched One Tree Hill. I'm like,
Gossip Girls as far as I'm gonna go with this.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
Yeah, that's fair girl, and we'll work our way to
like Vampire Dires or something.

Speaker 5 (25:35):
I've watched a little bits of Empire dar and also
Joey and I are watching Suits right now.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
We just finished up this past season, so that was
a good one.

Speaker 4 (25:42):
We watched Suits in December. I watched it before.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
I've never seen it, and I binge that. Yeah, this
past winter.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
We never finished it, but it kinda kind of lost us.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
Well, yeah, after like season six.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
I think there's like nine or so.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
Yeah, I think, but they're coming up with the suits, La, Yes,
the new one. Maybe you can make a cameo.

Speaker 5 (26:01):
I know.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
Well, we're so happy for your dad. Isn't weird seeing him?

Speaker 3 (26:08):
Like you guys are like you're in a more serious
relationship right now than your dad.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Yeah, kind of funny.

Speaker 4 (26:17):
Is that a weird dynamic? Is that rude to say?

Speaker 2 (26:20):
No, I don't know if that's.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Rude to say, But I don't know if that's that
uncommon either. I think it's more strange that you both
have been on like The Bachelor, that's the weird part. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (26:32):
No, Like, are you like dad, like let me give
you dating advice?

Speaker 2 (26:35):
No, I feel like my dad's got it figured out now.

Speaker 5 (26:38):
I feel like definitely him going on the Golden Bachelorette
helped him a lot with like I think just kind
of pushing himself to put himself out there.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
And then deb I.

Speaker 5 (26:49):
Mean, Barb. At the beginning, I used to always mix
it up because.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
Everyone you because I called her dad.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
Yeah, but Barb, I feel like, you know, she reached
out to him, and I think that at first they
were just friends and then they started like going on dates,
and then my dad realized how much, like you know,
they just work very well together. Honestly, she does remind
me a lot of my mom in the sense of
like she brings out like the fun side of my dad.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
He's more like a quiet and like just calm person.

Speaker 5 (27:20):
Yes, and he brings out or she brings out like
a fun side of him, and she's like just very
vibrant and just like my mom was.

Speaker 4 (27:28):
So yeah, it's special, that's beautiful.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
Well, we're so happy for him, and we are so
happy for you and Joey and all the exciting things
to come for you guys, and wedding planning and David's
bridle and all the things.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Yeah, we're gonna have to ask you about honeymooning.

Speaker 4 (27:42):
Yeah, yeah, we're here.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Anything you want to our listeners to know you got
coming up or anything like that.

Speaker 5 (27:49):
I honestly, I only really look at my calendar a
week in advance now because I right now.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
It's been a little American April, American American.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
Idol in April. I'm super excited for that. And yeah,
I don't know. Joey's going back.

Speaker 5 (28:03):
On Dancing with the Stars tour coming up, and then
it got extended, so he's going back at the very
end of the tour.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
So I'm excited to see him, you know, little twinkle toes.
But yeah, I don't know. I'm excited for to see
what's coming up. Honestly, I don't even know what I'm coming.

Speaker 4 (28:24):
It's okay, we've been there. I get it. We're like
just coming out of that season of life.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
I feel like where you're like, don't ask me anything
like a week ahead, because I don't know.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
Kelsey, thank you so much for being a guest today
on Baucher Happy Hour.
