Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, everyone, welcome the Bachelor Happy Hour. I'm Joe and
I'm Serena, and we are here with the lovely Caitlin Bristole.
Did callout your name collect correctly?

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Joe? I can't with you? Are you now? Are you
doing that on purpose?

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Why? Because because you do it to me?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Because no, no, because you would think you would think
this many years into our friendship. You could pronounce my
last name?

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Yeah, I I uh, okay, this is actually we did
do another podcast.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
The answer is no, he can't pronounce your last name Bristol.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
It's just Bristol. Why are you making it weird? If
she gets I think it's my accent, it actually could be.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Yeah, Caitlin Bristown.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Yes, so we are. Actually we did another podcast recently
with Chicks in the Office. So we were like, on
a scale of one through ten, your best friend, you're doing.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
This again, okay, go go go.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
So your your absolute best friend in life is a ten? Right?

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Where would you place our friendship on the on the
on the friendship marker?

Speaker 2 (01:17):
You know, my best friend in the world being a ten? Okay,
I would give you like a like a like a
hard five.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Okay, that's I respect that, and that's I I agree.
I think I think I would give also give you.
I was actually probably gonna go six, but whatever I would.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Say, I was thinking six. That's why I said hard five,
because I'm like, I would give it a soft six.
Hard five.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
That's fair? Yeah, almost, like yes, like we're trending towards
a six. Who knows what the next years are gonna
are gonna hold, but right now we're at a heart Okay,
that's that's right.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
It depends on how you behave Yeah, yeah, what.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Are your thoughts over there, Serta.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
No, I'm aligned. I'm aligned with the hard five.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
I'm aligned.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Yeah, okay, So what else, Caitlyn? Anything anything new?

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Oh my gosh, I don't think I can say it. Yeah,
I've something so exciting to share. I'm on the last
day of negotiation, so something exciting coming up that I
will be filming soon.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
That's awesome. Uh, any we just saw what do we see?
What do we see? For you? You've got a lot
going on.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Oh my god, sad about the oilers.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I was gonna say, don't don't bring it up. No
we could. I'm very proud of the oilers. I'm like
that was such an overwhelming experience because I had the
opportunity to, of course, like go as an influencer, and
I was like, you know what, I want to pay.
I want to be right behind the team's bench. I
want to like make eye contact and be like Connor,

(02:51):
you got.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
This, and I want to like be I just and
I didn't your see your spirts? They were so good.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
They were bananas. I'm totally canal, but it was I mean,
it would have been really worth it if they won,
but they didn't. It was very sad, but it was
such a cool experience because they just had that was
just a wild series and the comeback was great. And
I don't know if Bachelor of Nation fans that are
listening to this are in hockey, but my gosh, I
like I thought I was going to have a heart attack.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Yeah, I mean, you Canadians, you just it's hard for
you guys to land the Stanley Cup.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Oh it's like over thirty years ninety three? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Was it was it the was it the Maple Leafs
that won in ninety three or Vietna? Was it Vancouver?

Speaker 2 (03:35):
I actually don't recall. I don't know, you know that
I should know that but I don't remember.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Maybe Calgary, We don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
It was definitely not count definitely don't count about that.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
It would have been Vancouver, Toronto or Edmonton, but I
don't think it was Whinton. Well it was Montreal. Okay,
I forgot about them.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
This is not this is not a sports podcast. Okay, no, okay,
let's get to it. So we have been recapping former
leads night ones and we just did yours, which was like,
just the premise of having two leads and one of
them being eliminated that first night is just so wild.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
So can you take us back to like, did you
so when you got cast it as the Bachelorette?

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Did you know that you were one of two?

Speaker 2 (04:30):
They kind of delivered it. They delivered it to me
in a very interesting way because I never in my
life thought I would ever be the kind of girl
that they would cast for Bachelorette. I always thought it
was like, you know, girl next door, like America's sweetheart,
not like this Canadian who can't reel in her emotions.

(04:51):
So I was very shocked at all to even be considered.
And so when they ended up picking me, it was,
as you know him obviously very well and he picks
me up for coffee and he goes, I have good
news and bad news. What do you want to hear first?
And I was like just whatever, order just tell me
and he goes, so you're you are the bachelorette and

(05:13):
I was like okay, and I was like, what could
the bad news be?

Speaker 3 (05:15):
He goes, You're also like, why are you telling me
this like in a Starbucks? Like something's weird here.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Yeah. I was like why. He like took me for
coffee and then we brought it down by the beach.
Like I was like, this feels very serious, and he
was like, yeah, the bad news is so is brit
and I for two seconds I just went okay, and
then I was like no, no, and then I just
burst into tears as I do. And uh, I was
just like that feels so wrong that like I don't

(05:42):
want to be pit against another woman. And at the time,
like it was she like she was the girl in
the house that everyone was like, she's perfect, She's like
the A ten, she's so pretty, she's so nice, and
I was like, the guys are gonna love her over me,
and it was like made me so insecure, But it
ended up being in the long run, which we'll get
it to such a cool experience and a blessing not

(06:02):
only because I got picked, but it actually shifted something
to my brain to turn it into a positive like
of women supporting women and not hating on her or
comparing myself to her. And it was a really like
pivotal moment in my life.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
So what was what was the social media space like?
Because you said like people were like, oh, Britt, you're
You're the greatest. But was there? Yeah, what was social
media like? Were people talking about it? Where people talking
about the show?

Speaker 5 (06:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (06:29):
It was so social media was when I was on
Crystal Season. It was really when Instagram became a thing.
And I remember watching my followers just like quadruple all
the time and going like what does this mean? Like
it didn't even phase me because I was like, I
don't know what is Instagram going to do for me?

Speaker 3 (06:48):
And what am I supposed to do with this? Yeah,
other than like cool people want to follow me?

Speaker 2 (06:52):
I was like this will either be gone in like
a few months or I don't know. I didn't know
what to think. But I remember it just growing and
growing and then getting offered money from it, and I
was like, whoa, this is crazy, and so I actually
was saying people online were like a little bit torn
between Britt and I. But I actually got a lot
of support in that time from the internet. I think

(07:14):
people were like craving something different from the show. And
but then you had like your loyal Bachelor nation who
really loves the girl next door, which kind of was
what she was, but yeah, it was it was a
kind of split, and it was more of like us
girls in the house in the Bachelor mansion that were like,
how is she so pretty and sweet? And like we

(07:36):
were all like, she's going to be the bachelorette, but
then she got eliminated kind of early, and so we
didn't think that was an option after that.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
But yeah, well we go ahead through you.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
No.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
I was just gonna say, like, I guess that's kind
of why they went with it with you too as well,
because like you are both like your simile and says
you were both like beautiful burnettes, but like because you
were different, that's what made it interesting. Of like if
everyone I just really loved one of you like that
wouldn't have worked. It would have just been awkward. There
had to been like some like okay, like people want

(08:06):
to Caitlin or Britt, Like who's it going to be?

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Yeah? And also it was so like with who they cast,
you know, like usually they will cast for the Bachelorette
for their type, with people that they would like. And
so when I was sitting down on night one with
so many of the guys, I was like, this really
seems like they're here for me and not her. And
I couldn't really compare myself to her because we are
so different. And I was like, well, if if all

(08:30):
of these guys are here for her, like, they wouldn't
be for me anyways. So that's kind of what my
mentality was going into.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
It, right, Like if they're into her, they're probably not
going to be into me, and I exactly not going
to be into them, because like we're just sting people.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
Well we when we were watching it, I even told
Sarna'm like, just the way Britt was talking, I would
be like, oh, Like if I'm watching this in real time,
I'm like, Oh, they're they're going with her, right. I
in no offense to her by any means, but I
would be like, they should go with this Caitlin, because

(09:05):
that's that's that's gonna be fun. But I do think
because it was she was giving, she was giving more
of the stereoterial type totally.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
She's when they had always gone with like that kind
of mold.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
She's definitely the safe, the safe choice, and I was
the wild card and they they went.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
My biggest question the whole time I was watching this
was did they have you guys like film your promos,
do your photo shoots, do your fittings, like do all
the full season prep? And like was that really bittersweet?
Like I feel like I wouldn't be able to enjoy it.
I'd be like, this is making me want to get
so excited, and but I don't want to get excited
because then if it just gets like ripped away from me.

(09:52):
I have all these like beautiful dresses that like, I know,
I don't get to wear.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
And yeah, like it was a roller coaster. I really
really tried to be like, Okay, I'm doing this with
a friend because we got along. We got along really well,
so we tried. Yeah, we got along, and so we
kept trying to like it was still awkward and it
was weird and like you know, posing together knowing like
who's it going to be? It was more uncomfortable than anything.

(10:18):
But I kept trying to be like okay instead of
being selfish and being like this should be me, and
I wish I was doing this by myself and getting excited.
I was like, I get to do this with a friend,
and let's just treat it like like two friends doing
something crazy in their life and who knows how it's
going to turn out, and we both I feel like
we both did it really well. And what was more
uncomfortable is probably for brit after the season had filmed,

(10:41):
her knowing she went home night one, had to do
a bunch of press with me after the show, acting
like who is it going to be? And she had
to go through the press rounds with me while knowing
she was about to be shown going home, Like.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
I felt ane were outrage Yeah, it really sacks. Actually
I didn't even think about that.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
Yeah, I think the overall feeling was really awkward. So
but I think we were both just feeling really uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
And there's also there's also the competitive nature as well.
It's like you both you both also your your your friends,
but you didn't grow up together and you both want this.
It's like we're well we're both like want to be
the one that gets picked?

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Right, Yeah it was. It was an interesting concept, which
is a really nice way of putting it. Uh, but
it felt like me at this point in my life,
I've realized through a lot of therapy how competitive I am,
And now looking back on that moment, I'm actually so
proud of myself for how I handled it, because I was, like,
I didn't even feel competitive. I felt just like, this

(11:45):
is going to be really uncomfortable for us, and it's
going to suck really bad for one of us at
the end of this night, and like I more had
empathy and compassion for whoever that person was.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
When did you do you remember the moment when you
like you kind of knew, Like, I think it's me.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
I remember the exact moment because but then, okay, I
remember the exact moment because I went to sit on
the couch with all the guys and Ben Higgins looked
at me and he goes, you're gonna win by a landslide,
and I was like, who's this guy? I don't even
know who this guy is up, but I like him.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
I can actually really picture him saying that too, Like
I can visualize and hear him saying that to you.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
He did and I and then I remember being so
thrown off because you know, I didn't understand the television
world or what that looked like. So Chris Harrison's coming
up to me all dramatically and sad, and He's like,
I got to sit down and tell you something. And
then I was like that ben guy lied to me.
I'm definitely going home, and I like, put I remember
I put both of my hands on Chris Harrison's shoulder.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
You did. I was like what?

Speaker 2 (12:58):
And I remember being like, oh, I'm going home. And
so then when he told me, I was like, oh
my gosh, I just such a It was crazy.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
Do you think do you think when you found out
once once Chris told you it was you, Do you
think that were you know, you became just more confident
in that role. You think that like you think that
almost sped up the process of becoming a confident lead.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
No, because then I was like, who are these mother
efforts that didn't vote for me? And now I got
to pick them out and find out which ones don't
actually want me here.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
I literally said like I can't really shouldn't walk back
in the room and be like all right, boys, so
like raise your hand if you didn't vote, like whoo,
let me hand that, like.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
Did you have They were all like, oh, oh, I'd
love to sit down and shout with you. I'm like,
of course you would.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
You were a brit boy, weren't you. Did you ever
find out what the votes were, like how close or
how skewed it was?

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (13:51):
I think in the long run I found out not
like even watching back, I was like, oh, they I don't.
I don't know if that was accurate because it felt
like it was definitely me by a landslide watching it.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
They like they're showing people say like oh, I think
I'm gonna vote for this person, and are THINM going
to vote for this person? And they make it like
we did like kind of a calculation as we were going.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
I could go through the list, like I could look
at every guy from night one and tell you who
voted for Brett and who didn't. But I did they
all come from the top of my head, And yes,
eventually they did. And my favorite part was that, like
women tell all a couple of them are trying to
like get their TV time for Bachelor and Paradise and
they're like talking about how like how dare you bring

(14:32):
on Nick Vile for this season? And I was like,
you didn't even want me in the first place, Like.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
You didn't even vote for me. You want to be
the girl.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
I'm sorry, didn't you vote for Brett? So that's enough.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Yeah, it was very fo that would have been what
would have been the best Like, let's say I was
casting on your season and I voted for Britt. What
would what would have been the best move for me
at that time once she went home? That you would
have been like, okay, like this, I'll tell you.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
It's exactly what Jared did. Jared was so cute and
kind and he just like basically sat me down and
was like, look, I've voted for Britt. I thought that
was going to be more of a match. I'm really
open to seeing like if we have something in common
or if there's something like it's not like I'm not
attracted to you and it's not like I don't like you.

(15:22):
And I was like, oh, that's so honest, And I
just I like an honest approach where you're like, yeah,
like I obviously got along with you, and I think
you're beautiful and I think you're really kind and nice
and funny. And I was here for Britt and now
she's gone and totally understand how that's uncomfortable, but open
to seeing if we have something too, and we ended
up having a great connection. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
Was it harder for you to lean into the guys
that you knew had voted for Britt or were you
kind of like honestly like they talked to her for
two minutes, like as long as they're really open to
getting to know me, Like it's okay.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
No, my sick little brain wanted them more.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
I actually I actually get that that I can actually
see that.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
What I wait, I'm going to show.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
You in love with me?

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Yeah I was, but you didn't want me. Well, now
I want you more.

Speaker 4 (16:16):
What about the approach what about the approach of I
just what about the approach of like, hey, I I
just thought I had a better shot with Brett than you,
Like I, oh, oh that's good.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Like I did, like, oh yeah, so that wouldn't have
that you wouldn't have thought that was like, I don't know,
turn off the turn off?

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Yeah, if they were, she seemed brilliant to me, like
I thought maybe like if she would have kept me
around longer. I could have gone somewhere, but like I
didn't really care.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
I would have lived for the honesty. I anyone that
can just be straight up, I would find that I
love when people are just straight up and honest.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
Yeah, okay and cool and that makes sense. I believe
what you're saying.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
Just doesn't think you're lying, You're wondering, just to.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
Let you know. Do you look looking back on your
Night one? Is there like BRIT's gone?

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Now?

Speaker 1 (17:09):
What really like stands out to you any any moments.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
I think like how instantaneous my connection was with Sean
was really a standout for me because I didn't think
I would get that feeling on Night one. I was like,
I've never I've never met somebody and in the first
moment of touching their hands felt like electricity. I've never
actually experienced that. I've had to get to know someone

(17:36):
really well and like see who they are before, and
that was like a really stand out for me. And
then also I think like the heartbreak that I felt
for Brit was kind of surprising to me because I
thought I would be like, yeah, like fist pumping and
doing celebrations, and I actually felt like so sick to

(17:57):
my stomach and like, going through the rest of the night,
I had this like pit in my stomach being like
that poor girl is driving around in a limo getting
interviewed about how they didn't choose her, and like I
remember that being a very strong feeling that whole night.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
That yeah, I wish they, like, if anything, like they
should have had a backup of like if it's not you,
then you get cast it on Dancing with the Stars
or something like there. There should have been like something.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
Like consolation prize. Yeah, but just yeah, I'm sure to
like not to take away from like your empathy for her,
but you're probably also thinking like that all that could
have been me too, Like I could have been in
that position of like and that would have sucked, especially
with the whole night then knowing like wow, like this

(18:45):
could have all been ripped away from me and I
could be sitting in a limo right now crying going home.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
I'll never forget Ryan McDill, who was like the wasted
guy night one.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
He was so he left your ass.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
He slapped my ass, which was so terrible, and I
would have handled that so differently to this time around.
But I remember he took a because he had like
an opportunity to kind of be like, Okay, maybe I
should like not get that drunk. He took a huge
cup of fireball and chugged it and he goes, got
to keep it consistent. If he didn't slap my ass,
I would have actually probably fell in love with him.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
He was funny until he's like he had like funny drunk,
and then he like flipped the line and it was like, dude,
you've clearly taken it too far, Like you're in the pool,
you're slapping asses. He was like he really inappropriate things.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
It was like, okay, like it was giving. It was giving,
like your drunk, creepy uncle, that's what it giving. Yeah.
Who like he doesn't know where to d Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
Any uh, last question, being on your season as the
lead that first night when it came down to like
guys that you don't talk to and end up getting
a rose or whatever, how do you make that decision?

Speaker 3 (19:59):
Is it kind of like, yeah, how did you decide
who was staying and who was going?

Speaker 1 (20:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Uh, well I probably I don't know if they showed
all my conversations with everybody, so I probably did have
some kind of connection if I kept them. And I
remember there's one guy who I actually still to the stale.
I was like, why didn't I keep him? Because even
Sean was like, I'm surprised you didn't keep that guy.
He was really awesome, and I'm like, yeah, I wonder

(20:27):
what would happened there. But one guy really liked him
and he was so sweet and so cute, and I
remember being like, I really would like to keep him,
but like, I know, he's not my person. So I
remember really wanting to just like, you know, not draw
that out any further. But a lot of times you
just have to go with I mean, a woman's intuition
is just bananas, So a lot of times I just
went with my gut of what I was feeling.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
That's how I would do.

Speaker 3 (20:51):
Well at that point, like you said, you were like
I kind of I'm pretty sure it's Sean. So it
was probably just a lot of like Okay, like this
person's cool, I'm down to like hang out with that,
Like this person's a kid, you can go home. You
want voted for Brett, you're out?

Speaker 2 (21:04):
Yeah, yeah, exactly. It was. That was a really easy out.
I remember one guy voted for Britt and I didn't
want to kiss him, and he like went in like
a couple of weeks in and I was like, you know, yeah,
still not over it. You voted for Britt. I can't
do it yet.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
I guess yeah, I guess.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
That is a that is a positive thing. That's it's
an easy out. It's it's definitely an easy out.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
Yeah, you talked to Britt, Like when you got your
phone back, did you reach out to her at all
or did she reach out to you?

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Yeah? Yeah, because we had to do a bunch of
press together. So we ended up, Yeah, we talked, and
then a couple of years later we ended up doing
a podcast together that was really fun. And then she
unfollowed me on social media and I was like okay,
and so I'm like, oh, I guess we're not friends anymore.
But you know what I do an unfollowed clean up
all the time of like, you know, if you just

(21:52):
maybe don't talk to that person anymore, connect with them.
She's in a total different place in her life. I
Mean I always joke like, who really won at the
end of the day. Britt one. She's married with two kids,
and I'm still single engaged twice, Like who really won here?

Speaker 3 (22:07):
You're doing just bying Caitlin.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Oh my god, it's my joke. It's my joke.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
But yeah. One of my best friends does like a
social media cleanse every year where she's just like, yeah,
like I don't talk to this person and so long,
like she's like, I just she's not a big social
media girl, so she really just likes to keep it
like contained, and like one year she's like, yeah, I
went a little too ham with the unfollows to the
point where I was like getting messages and she's like, damn,
like I need to Like she's like I got trigger
finger happy and was just like unfollow and follow and follow,

(22:32):
and she's like I had like two or three people
messaged me and be like are we okay? Like I
saw him and followed me, and she just was like
I just chalked it up to an accident, like I
probably shouldn't have unfollowed them.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
I've already thought about my excuses if people call me
out for like I'll be like, oh, my my assistant
she must have hit that. Yeah, yeah I got hacked.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
It's not even more honestly that you might having the conversation.
It makes it not even worthy. Just keep the fall
just like it, just simply Okay. So we got a
new new season of The Bachelorette coming up.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
The lead is not you, but it is gen clarifying.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
What are your people? What are your what are your
thoughts on Jen? And any advice?

Speaker 2 (23:22):
So I got to interview Jen. That podcast will come
out when her season starts airing, So I actually got
to know her better than probably most of America watching uh,
and I just adore her. I think she's really cool
to see somebody that is so willing to lean into

(23:43):
not knowing who they are and work through that on
national television. And I feel like she's really going to
lean into that growth and like we'll see the evolution
of her. I think it's cool that she gets to
be a role model. She was saying that, you know,
she didn't get to grow up watching people that look
like her in these kinds of roles. I'm excited for
her to be able to do that. I feel like

(24:04):
she is. She's really an intelligent, beautiful, kind, sweet soul,
and I am really excited for everyone else to kind
of get to know her better because we obviously didn't
get that chance on the last season, so I'm excited.
I think she's amazing. I think it's gonna be a
great season. And I always have the same advice for people,
and it gets boring and it's simple, but it's just

(24:27):
I still like to think of my season and the
relationship that came out of it somewhat of a success.
Even though we didn't get married. We were together for
almost four years, and I truly believe it's because I
went into that role being like, people are gonna hate
me for this, or people are going to love me
for this, but this is just who I am. And
if I'm really going to have some sort of foundation

(24:51):
for a relationship to thrive, I have to just be
so true to myself just so that person doesn't come
out of it and be like, wait, who the hell
are you? What are you like? This is who you are.
So I just always encourage people to like even if
they feel messy or you know, America is not going
to like what they say or do. I just think
you have to just be absolutely true to yourself in

(25:12):
order to have somewhat of a successful relationship after with
that person, with yourself, with your following which Bachelor Nation
is very loyal and they'll see through it. So it's
always just being true to yourself.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
Off the Vine is a popular podcast hosted by Kaitlin Bristyle.
You've had a lot of big You've had a lot
of big guests. Have you had anyone, like any like
dream guest that you ended up interviewing or anyone that
you were just you were a either shocked you got
or just like starstruck.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
You know what's funny is this was years ago when
Chris Harrison had never really done a podcast before and
I got to interview him, which is really cool because
we were so tight at the time, and I just
went over to his house and we drank so much
wine and did a podcast and it ended up being
like a two part podcas because he'd never like, people
didn't really know who Chris Harrison was other than the

(26:04):
guy that comes in and says like this is the
Final Rose and like it does all that, and people
didn't really know his personality because again social media, he wasn't, like,
you know, doing stories and all this stuff. So that
was a really cool one for me and a memorable
one that I always think about. And then Jay Shetty
was a dream guest for me, and yeah, and so
I got him on the podcast and it was like

(26:26):
one of my favorite conversations. And to have Ja Shetty
to your horn was like something I'll put on my grave.
He like complimented my questions and that like He's like,
nobody's asked me these questions before, and I'm giving really
new answers. So thank you so much. I was like,
j Shetty, So that was probably my favorite.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
That is so cool. Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
I would literally just drop dead if Jason Sheddy was
like wow, like you're interviewing, like you're asking me really
new questions, like you're making me the podcast. Yeah, I'd
be like, all right, I'm just so insightful and smart
and like my ego is so big now because jays Sheeddy.

Speaker 5 (27:00):
No, no, Now.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
Every time I like have like a low vibe moment,
I'm like, cale remember that time, and then I just
get right back on the high vibe.

Speaker 3 (27:08):
Yeah, there you go, It's all you need.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
How about how about how about favorite uh favorite? Within
Bachelor Nation?

Speaker 2 (27:16):
Are you looking for a little compliment?

Speaker 3 (27:17):
Joe is always setting up questions for people to answer
his name.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
That I just want I just want the truth and
I want to I want to preface this by saying that,
you know, we're on a scale, you know, number five,
it's friendship, but that could change drastically depending on what
is said in the next five seconds.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Okay, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
Honestly, honestly, I don't even think that the answer is me,
but I will say, just take take me out of it,
take me out of the oas.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
Okay, I will tell you. I will tell you you
are actually one of my favorite people to talk to
in all of Bachelor Nation because I feel like we
just have a good friendship and like I feel like
we have good banter and it's just easy. So I
do feel like you are in in the group. I'm trying.
I'm actually trying to think of a Wells. Of course,
Wells is probably one of my favorite people to podcast with,

(28:11):
just because he's you know, he also gets it. He
was on the radio for years. He has two podcasts
or however many he's doing, and like he gets it,
and we also have that banter. So i'd say you
and Wells, to be honest with you, Okay.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
That's that's that's that's incredible. Incredible answer. That is exactly
what I was looking for. Thank you, thank you.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
We are not SOP six for sure. Yes you also
wait wait who's your favorite?

Speaker 1 (28:38):
Uh my fuh no, I do I honestly, I've told
this many of times. Love podcasting with Caitlin Bristow, and
we've we've actually done we've actually done a live podcast
together where that was fun because we were very missed.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
Thats my gosh, it was fun. Yes, okay, okay, moving.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
On, Yes, moving on. We're gonna play for me.

Speaker 3 (29:12):

Speaker 2 (29:15):

Speaker 3 (29:15):

Speaker 2 (29:19):

Speaker 1 (29:20):
She's on island time, Yeah, she is on island time, Cayla.
We're gonna play a quick game. You're down for that?
Always down, down to get around? All right?

Speaker 3 (29:30):
Down a clown see Joe and I actually played this
at breunch the other day.

Speaker 5 (29:36):
Fun.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
I like it all right?

Speaker 2 (29:37):
You ready?

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (29:38):
Uh? Pizza or cheeseburger, pizza, pizza, pasta, pasta pasta or
steak and fries pasta pasta or ramen pasta pasta, Sushi,

(30:02):
sushi or fried chicken sandwich, sushi, sushi or poutine.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
Oh good one, sushi.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
Sushi or gelato.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
I don't even like gelato, So sushi I think sushi might.
Sushi is like my bread pit. You know, if you like,
put two guys together and you do it, would you rather? Yeah,
Sushi's my bread.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
Pity sushi or Spade and Sparrow wine.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Oh, she found a loophole. She found a loophole. I'll
take spand and Sparrows every day, all day.

Speaker 3 (30:39):
Guys, A slow sugar, It's great, go buy it.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Spade and Sparrows love it. I drink it not very often,
but if i'm if i'm, if I'm in a facility
where it is, I will What do you where do
you sell that? You sell it at a lot of places.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Yeah, a lot of states have it in Target or
in their little like local liquor stores. But you can
just go on Spadensparrows dot com and then there's a
place that says like a store locator. You can just
type in your zip code and I'll tell you where's
the closest one.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
Well, LCBO, because I have friends that used to drink
it and they were like, I can I can't get
it anywhere.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
The shipping and like legal stuff and hoops we've had
to jump through for Canada, but we're trying to get
back on the Canadian train. We're actually working really hard
on that right now because Canadians drink wine and I can't.
I can't. I got to take care of my people.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
I really like the I really like the Rose. I'm
actually I'm actually getting back on my getting back on
my rose grind. But as I was saying it, I
was like, I love.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
That saying yeah, I'm always on my rose grind.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
