No, we've had you.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
We've had you more. I think we might have had
you twice during charity season.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Because we did the mental all, yead you, and then
you did the vent all and then did we have
your dream Paradise?

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:35):
I don't think you guys did it.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Oh maybe we did it?

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Did Okay? So this is your third and then Christina,
this is your first.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Nice to meet you guys, you know. Okay, So I
actually did see you guys briefly in person. Did you
do you know this?

Speaker 3 (00:49):
No? No?

Speaker 4 (00:49):
Okay, okay, So in my head, I'm like thinking that
you saw me and b Line just for the door.
So that's good to know.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
No.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
So I was at Tea's rehearsal and I didn't realize.
So I guess you were training it for you to
fly back the next day, Joe or you both did
for your your race or something, so you wouldn't be
at the wedding. But I was there. I saw you
at the karaoke place.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
In Nashville.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
Yeahshville, And so I was like, and so I was
gonna like make my way over, not just like run.
And then before I knew it, you guys were gone.
And then I saw in your socials that you had
to leave. So that was sad. But you know, Hi,
now we get Hi.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Wait have said that. We didn't get to say Hi?
Are you there?

Speaker 1 (01:30):
You're friends with your friends with Tia?

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Yeah, yeah, that whole group and we all do the
CrossFit stuff together and yeah, so she's she's awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Did you know Tia before you went on the show? No, Okay, gotcha? Okay, Wow,
that's awesome. That was a really fun rehearsal dinner party.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Oh my gosh. The wedding was I mean, I so
I have a wedding planning company and I've done a
lot of events, been to a lot of weddings, and
that is by far my favorite. Oh my gosh, Like
it was so personal but let yet bougie but still
like them and it was just incredible. So it's sad
that you guys missed that. But the rehearsal was so
much fun. It was karaoke and I'm sad. I didn't
see you guys up there? But is that why you

(02:08):
guys were not? Maybe that's why you'd be lying for
the door knob.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Did you do karaoke? Because I was like, I am
not getting out there doing carry.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
I didn't. I didn't there.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
You have an amazing voice.

Speaker 5 (02:17):
I get you some franks like some goosebump not.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
To interview you. But what would you sing?

Speaker 1 (02:23):
What would I sing?

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Gosh, I would sing what's the latest songoke together?

Speaker 2 (02:30):
No? Never? I used to I karaoke bard in university
a decent amount because there was like a country bar
that was a karaoke bars.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
I used to say.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
I used to sing Stacy's Mom a lot. I used
to sing don't stop Believing. I used to sing, what's
the one that's like this? Here is a tough all
the fellows try to do?

Speaker 1 (02:55):
What those? Yeah? Is that?

Speaker 3 (02:58):
What was that?

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Run? Is that run? MC? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
I used to sing that those are the karaoke go tos.
I don't know what I would say now I'm doing
that one together?

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Is that one takes two? Takes two to make them right?

Speaker 2 (03:11):
No, that's a different one. That's also a good one. Joe,
what would you say, I'm not a singer.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
I just love I do love.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
It hard one to take on Joe.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
When I shoot, I shoot high, you know.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
But TIA's TIA's family, like they have like great voices.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
There was one guy that went where I was like,
that man is incredible.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Yea, he was so good.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Thing.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Here's the thing. So since then, actually we have a
video we've been to that same It was the same
place that we went to and they're like, I don't
know if it's Nashville or what, but like their MIC's
and their system is like beautiful. A lot of karaoke
joints will do you wrong, but there's I mean, he
was a lovely singer, yes, but it really did did
good that but they did Creed and I'm just like

(03:58):
he was Yes, I felt like Creed was there. Yeah,
that was the one were like this man is Creed.
He is Creed. We are all Creed.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
All right, let's let's like we gotta let's get moving there.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
The people are like, please move on. Everyone listens like
please move on.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
And we're going to do this interview the correct way,
the way that Serena wants to in chronological order.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
So I just feel like there's so many parts to
your story that need to be covered that I don't
know about. I'm assuming love our listeners don't know about.
So we got to start from the very beginning.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
So let's start it from the beginning. Where. How when
did you guys meet?

Speaker 4 (04:33):
Good question?

Speaker 5 (04:34):
Yeah, so it was it was still during the airing
of Bachelorette. So I'd been back from Paradise, I had
gone through the whole Bachelorette, and like, the Bachelorette was
airing now, and I think we're on like the last
two episodes that like the Bachelorette was airing.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Okay, so Bachelorette was airing, and you already had filmed
Bachelor in Paradise.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
So it's like July when we started talking. Yes, had
I already commented on a few of his posts without
reply maybe.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Okay, bred In you left her hanging.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Well, No, it wasn't like I don't know.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
I didn't want to just be like, you know, messaging
on like I don't know, Like I wanted to make
sure that if, like I was pursuing someone that it
wasn't just going to be like I'm not the type
to just flirt with everyone, you know, I mean like,
although I might give off that popular belief, like really
not the type to just go and like flirt in
the dms and slide in and DM everybody like that's the.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Man went on the most dates in Paradigm. Okay, so yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Mean it's just it's just not my.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
It's not my like you realized, but you're not going
to actually like take the initiative to message like that's
like blunt. Well.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
I said this on the podcast though. I was like,
Brandon's kind of hard to get a read on because
he's so charismatic that he always gives up the energy
that he's into the person he's with, even though I
think it's just you're like an engaging personality. So it's
hard like as a viewer to be like, who's he into?
Where's I feel it? Because your personality just gives off
these like positive vibes whoever you're with.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (05:57):
It's a good time. If he's out and about, he's
gonna a good time.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Yes, So I feel like, but it sounds like what
you're saying is you're not necessarily like just pursuing everyone.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Intention with it.

Speaker 5 (06:09):
Yeah, that's not like I don't know, like I always
I grew up with sisters too, so it's like, you know,
they would always show me the dms that guys would
send them and stuff like that, and I'm like it
would just.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Seem so creepy to me, so like dming people.

Speaker 5 (06:19):
And stuff like that, like I don't really that wasn't
really what I did, you know. And so it was
like when she reached out to me, originally it was
like I saw her like it, and I hearted the post.
I just didn't respond, but I hearted it. And then
and then like some time went by and then she
ended up dming me or no, I ended up finally
damning her like like not responding, but dming her separately

(06:41):
because she like had posted like a video of like
Blakely cutting her Barbie's hair or something like that, and
I was like, oh, please tell me you didn't let
her cut her own hair because I didn't like see
the whole.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
And I and also it was like strate change, Yeah,
like I wanted to wait because like.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
You're playing games immediately, we'll not.

Speaker 5 (06:57):
Playing games, but like showing intention because I I felt
like if I just like responded to like, you know anything,
like I'm working out yeah, like or sent the fire.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
I mean, you know fire emojis.

Speaker 5 (07:07):
I don't know, we do love fire emojis, but like
I wanted to show that, like I understood that she
was more than just.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Like you know, you want to send a meaningful message,
just conversation.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
And knowing that, yeah, and knowing that she had a
daughter and knowing like, hey, like I'm aware you have
a daughter. I think it's okay. I'm still you know,
like I think it's cute, like you know, and stuff
like that, and I can relate on that too, you know,
sorry getting off this cold but and so yeah, so
that was like our first interaction and then as we did,
we just started dming after that and messaging back at

(07:39):
and then eventually she unsolicitedly while I was at work,
dropped her number to me.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
I was like, you know what, I'm over this messaging.
Here's my number. And then I said, not me, like
pointing up ero emoji, like not me, unsolicitvely throwing my
phone number at you. And then when he got off
work he called me.

Speaker 5 (07:57):
Yeah, And then it was crazy because like that night
I got home and I was literally I got home
around like nine o'clock at night that night.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
And wait, wait, not where you're living where at the time,
san Diego, San Diego, and Christina, You're in Nashville.

Speaker 5 (08:10):
Yes, and so here I was phrased and like I'm
the type of person too, like I don't like I'll
go to bed when I'm like ready to go to
bed because I have work.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
I have to wake up at six am, like get
there on time, like all that stuff.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
And so here I am like we start facetiming and
like literally like our first FaceTime call win it went forever,
and it was like I didn't even work in the morning.
I didn't even like realize like how long the phone
call went. So I looked down at my phone and
it was like it was five am, and I'm like
I have to be up in an hour for work,
Like what the heck? Like I okay, I have to
go in at this point, Like it was crazy.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Like we talked. It was just like so easy to
talk to.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
Her about anything and everything, and it was like I
felt like I didn't have to like I didn't have
to like you.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Know, say stuff a certain way.

Speaker 5 (08:50):
I didn't have to like be prim and proper, like
I just got to be myself and it was just
like it was so refreshing to have a FaceTime call
the first FaceTime call be something like that, and so
that's kind of where it took off. And it was
just like, you know, we ended up just FaceTime me
every night, and like every night it was the same thing.
It was like I would just FaceTime to like and
it would be like, okay, it's three am. Not I
didn't even realize, Like I blinked and it was like
here we are and so and uh, we ended up

(09:13):
like as we kept talking. I know we said it
during the engagement, but I was like I said something.
I made it Tenacious D reference and it's like it's
like it's a pretty bomb band, but I made I
made the reference. She's like, did you just reference to
Nations D?

Speaker 4 (09:29):
And it was so like out of it was probably
because it was like three am, and I'm just like
I wouldn't have even normally like said anything because I
would have thought like no, like because it was like
a quote that we can't probably say right now that
was like so deep like Tenacious D like referenced that.
It was like I wouldn't even probably say it because
I'm like thinking, no way no way, no way, and
so I said it and he's like, what, you don't

(09:50):
know nothing about that? And so it was really cool
and like to on top of all of these like
things that I felt like we had in common in
this connection, like as much of a connection that you
can have over you know, electronic devices like that, on
top of it was like really silly but also.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
Really meaningful, and it opened up for like my first
reason to go out there too. Or it's like yeah,
I mean we had been talking about me coming out
there to come visit, but it wasn't like you know,
there was no time timeline. But she's like, well, actually
I have tickets next week to go see Tenacious D.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
And she's like, so if you're really a fan, like
you should be out here next week.

Speaker 5 (10:21):
And so that night on FaceTime, I ended up buying
like a plane ticket and I literally like I called
in sick to work, sorry, work, and I flew out
there that next week to come see her, and it
was just like it was just unreal.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
It was like I've never been treated.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
So well by somebody, like like like I've gone on
dates and it's like typically when I go on dates,
it's like all like be the one treating the person,
you know what I mean. And it was like I've
never been like treated like and it was just amazing.
Like she picked me up from the airport in this
like rose like she had like last big Odo mustache.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
So Paradise hadn't started airing yet at all, but it
was going to and so there can't be any spoilers
or anything. So I'm telling them, I'm like, look, we've
got to be low key like Nashville, like people are
on the lookout for this, like like my season is
done and gone, but still, like, you know, I get
recognized if I go out and like you like you
have the ear like anyone. It's so funny if you're
out about you can see people staring and they're like

(11:14):
trying to look in and see the earrings, like yeah,
he is him, and so you know, really recognizable in Nashville.
And so I'm telling him, I'm like, but also we're
so open with communication, like but it's gonna be awkward
if I just pick you up and we're in the
security land and I'm like side hug and then we're
getting yelled at my like a security officer being like
go go go, like in the what is it the rivals?
So I'm like, somebody come in, but we have to
be low key and I'm like being serious about it

(11:36):
but not really.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Like a six ft tall rose and.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
Ulous guys. That's what.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
So, how long was the time between you guys first
started talking to now?

Speaker 4 (11:50):
Oh uh so it was August August end of August.
It's like a month is but like a month now
in the story because we're chronological.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
Yeah, I mean like between like the first d M
and then I like the concert not long.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
That's why we it's a tadacious deed because like we
had to get to that ticket, like to the thing,
because I mean, beyond that, I would probably say you
would have come out sooner than later. But still at
the same time, it's like that's there's no time.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Crunch, Christina when you cause you're you technically you made
the first move and when you threw that out there,
did you think he was gonna bite? Did you think
he was gonna actually come?

Speaker 4 (12:38):
I think that I didn't. I didn't have time to
like think he would or not. I think maybe because
of past traumas and being an adult, you know you you,
I would think so, yes, But then it's like, okay,
well let's see, let's call I'm gonna call him out
just no time, no bs, and uh he did and

(12:58):
I was just like, and I think that so in
that sense, I was very surprised, yes, but not because
he was lying about it.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
And we were just like, whow you're actually coming, Okay,
we're doing this.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
And to back up, sorry about chronological order, I will
say since I did like reach out first and so
it's like, how did I even know who he was?
But once it started airing, it was it was really
cool to watch, you know. Of course I wanted to
support charity and watch the season, so I did that,
and he just really very much stood out to me.
So you know, sorry when you went home, but also
I was like, yes, you know, they're not together, and

(13:29):
there was just a few different moments that I just
really felt like connected through this television show that I've watched,
you know, for over a decade that I was like,
I really saw you what I was on. But I
loved this show and I'm just like, wait, I can
do this, and I can I can actually maybe slide
the dms And then took a while to just one
but you know, whatever, we're here now.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Okay, So Brandon shows up to Nashville. How do how
does that first first day go? Like the first meet
in person.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
It was pretty It was pretty awesome.

Speaker 5 (14:03):
It was like so like she bought me, so I
guess she she had reached out to Aaron and like
she had like, oh, yeah, to find out my size
and yeah, she had like called him to find out
my shoe side. And he had called me like a
couple of days prior to He's like, hey, man, he's like, uh,
you know, my buddy needs a pair of surf booties.
Like what what surfboody are you? I'm like, bro thirteen

(14:24):
in the back of your truck, Like what are you
talking about? He's like, okay, just double check it, man,
no problem.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
He had a pair of your shoes and he still.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Want to call.

Speaker 5 (14:33):
Yeah. I'm like, dude, they're literally like your sisters. Yeah,
and my sisters were asking me what some of my
shoe size was. I was just tripping. I was like,
why does everyone want to know my shoe size? In
the same day and I remember like I had talked
to her about it. I was like, yeah, like everyone's
asking me my shoe side.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
It was really weird.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Wait, I don't know if you know this, So I'm
I liked, never messaged him on Instagram or anything, so
it was like me going to message him to get
that I like message, like you know, lots of people
do where you go the separate messages. I'm like, hey,
what are you doing? Blah blah blah like and so
I go hey, and then it doesn't let me send
another message because we don't follow each other, and it's
like or whatever it is, and it's like that's it

(15:06):
into the response. So it just looks like I'm like, oh,
let me try your best friend hey, and I'm like,
luckily he had a story on there, so I was replying.
I got to reply to his stort and I'm like,
you just set this message and I mean to do this.
I'm like panicking. I'm like, oh my gosh, I look,
oh my gosh, this is awful.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
I would also that would have stressed me out too.
It's just like, oh my god, it looks like I'm
sliding into this guy's dam right.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
I did.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
But it was actually cool because when we ended up
getting in the car.

Speaker 5 (15:33):
The reason why she was asked for my shoe size
is because she had a pair of boots for me.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
Like it said, you, if you ever come to Nashville,
you need to get some booby.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
I did say that, but I didn't expect her to
buy me a pair of boots. And so that's cool
to walk.

Speaker 5 (15:44):
Around new boot goofing around Tennessee. And it was just
like it was amazing. It was like everything. We went
to go get coffee and we were.

Speaker 4 (15:52):
Just like made some earrings from my first Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
She made me earrings from our first date.

Speaker 5 (15:56):
Like we went skeet shooting, and h I don't know,
like this something about seeing a woman have a better
shot than you.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
And I'm like a decent shot when it comes to skeet.

Speaker 5 (16:04):
Shooting, but like she could shoot like these discs that
like no problem. I was like it was the most
amazing thing I've ever seen. I was like, I'm so
impressed right now. And then she ended up collecting like
the remains of like the skeets and like ended up
putting in the resin with the beads and like made
earrings out of them.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
And so it's just so thoughtful.

Speaker 5 (16:22):
It's just like she had like there's so much consideration,
so much thoughtfulness and so much, just like you know,
like care that she took towards me, that like I
haven't experienced in a relationship before, and so it was
just like, like, to be honest, it was like from
the first moment I met her, like I like, I
mean we had phone calls and like we had talked
on the phone. I knew that I felt a connection,
But it was like once I met her in person

(16:42):
and saw that wasn't just over her phone, it was
in person too, it was like I knew, like wow,
like I actually love I love how she makes me feel,
and I love her like this is amazing.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
I've never felt this before, did you? Did you?

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Him coming here too? For me, it was like like
you said, like were was I surprised? But like actually
making it happened and coming here and calling in sick
to work, sorry work, and being here and then hugging
you and touching you. You know, it was really cool.
It was all like really surreal.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
And how long How long were you in town for
on that first hangout?

Speaker 3 (17:14):
I was only there for four days?

Speaker 4 (17:15):
Was that not even like one?

Speaker 1 (17:21):
Okay? So you so so then when you leave, where
do you where do you guys stand at that point
so and then and then his paradise hasn't aired.

Speaker 4 (17:31):
Yet, you know, it's on the horizon.

Speaker 5 (17:34):
But so for me, like at this point it was
like after knowing how knowing that I felt this way internally,
it was like, you know, I still understood.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
It was like okay, like I can't just go rushing
and like oh, you know, let's do this, you know,
and like stuff like that. But it was like I
want to do with long distance, like I wanted her
to know, like I'm not going to be talking.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
To we went we went exclusive on the track and
so okay, yeah, like the first day, like the sun
hadn't even gone down yet, and we were like so
we were talking and he was like oh, and I
was like, just I'm a little bit older than him,
not much at all, but it's an ongoing joke that
I have my insecurity. Well I know, but you said something.
I'm like, well, what do you kids mean by that? Nowadays?
Does that mean like exclusive? And he's like, well, I

(18:11):
would like to. I was like, okay, me too.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
It wasn't an initiative that one was in initiative me.
You gotta let me.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
But and where wait did you stay? Did you stay.
Do you guys stay together when you first went there,
did you like stay?

Speaker 4 (18:26):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (18:27):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (18:28):
And did he meet did he meet Blakely on this trip?

Speaker 3 (18:31):
No? I didn't.

Speaker 5 (18:33):
I didn't get to meet Blakely out on this trip.
But we had like like she had her mom watching
her while she was here, so it was like nice,
but we.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Got to focus on getting to meet each other first,
which was cool. And then yeah, but then so we
left that trip.

Speaker 5 (18:48):
Being exclusive, and then we had I had gone back
home and I was planning on coming back out to
Nashville again, and then uh.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
We had like, uh, what had happened? Oh, it was
the thing that happened next.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
Time before I had a thing that happened so before
I had time to go out there, the.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
Both thing where you guys almost died, right, Yeah, huge
emit Shoe, I think I had on the podcast so
it was like it was it might have been our
longest podcast.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
It it was. I was glad the questions you were
asking because.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
Yeah, yeah, I was sick that episode and Joe came
into like I was in bed. He came in after
he was like, you have to hear this story. Listen
to what these guys went through. I was like, oh
my god, I goosebumps. I can't even imagine Christina how
you felt.

Speaker 4 (19:30):
Like, well, it's hard for me too, because you know,
not that it matters publicly, you know, if we're together
or not. But it's like even more than that, it's
like we were having to hide that we're together. And
so it's just like all of these emotions and all
of that, and I'm like, well, am I even allowed
to be upset? And it's like, I don't know, it
was just really crazy.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
But the whole day was kind of messed up too,
So like so she had a parent teacher conference that
same day.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
We were on the boat trip, which I was stressed about.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
So I sent her like an edible arrangement and so
like on the way out on the boat, I had
like I got a text message and I was like
I called.

Speaker 3 (20:01):
I was like, hey, like there's a package in your
front door. Did you see it? And she's like what
is it?

Speaker 5 (20:04):
And like she saw it, and it was like like
an edible arrangement for her and Blakely like wishing him
good luck for their parents.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
Conference that day, and I was like, all right, I
gotta go on fishing.

Speaker 5 (20:12):
Bye, and so like I hung up and like you know,
I went about my day, and so we had been fishing,
and like, I mean, you got to hear the whole story,
so we won't go into that too much, but it was.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
But did you did you think? Did you think? Did
you think you were going to die?

Speaker 3 (20:25):
Wait?

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Just quick pause for anyone that's listening that has no
idea what we're talking about. You can go and listen
to the aar and S interview and he writes down
the entire story of what happened to them on this
fishing trip. Just because we won't get into it totally now.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
But absolutely except one part that no one's really talked
on that is like replague in my head, like crazy,
was the fishing line part, which is like.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
So when the boat, so there's two parts. So when
it first happened, I thought I was going to die
right away.

Speaker 5 (20:51):
And that was only because so the boat went down
and like originally when the boat went down, we had
tried to go and like it was like sinking and
we were trying I don't know if we were trying
to pull it up. I don't know what we were thinking,
but we were like pulling onto it and like trying
to see like what we could do to like see
if we can get back on top of it.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
And I think that makes sense. I think that makes
sense for like an instant reaction, like you think, like, oh,
let's stop it from going on there.

Speaker 5 (21:12):
But yeah, but what happened was when we had wrapped
around the boat, I ended up getting caught in the
fishing line.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
That was like all the fishing line.

Speaker 5 (21:20):
Was on the boat and so it was on the
real setting, so it was like it was like spooling
out the line, but the line had all wrapped around me,
and so it was like I was actually like so
as we were trying to get our life vest on
and stuff like that, I started getting like pulled down
under like pulled down underwater.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
And my dad actually had bought a pocket knife like.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
The night before from home depot before you'd like come
on the fishing trip, and he actually was able to
cut me free from the fishing line.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
But like this isn't.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
This isn't like you can bite it.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Yeah, yeah, like this.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
Line is not lining. You could rip with your hands.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
But wire isn't it.

Speaker 5 (21:51):
Yeah, And so it's like it's wrapped around my body
like pulling me down, and I was like, I was
literally having a panic attack.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
I think he I was gonna die in that moment,
and it was like that would.

Speaker 5 (21:58):
Be an instantaneous death, which would I think would have
been better than being if it was yeah.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
For longer.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
Yeah, I guess, yeah, if if you're going to go
in that in that scenario, I guess that would have been.

Speaker 5 (22:08):
The Like in that moment, I thought I was gonna die,
And then like following that, after my dad cut me
free of that, then it was just like being out there.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
Yeah, I do have a scar from where he cut
it off, But was.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
There any if he didn't have that pocket knife? Was
there any way you could get out of it?

Speaker 3 (22:21):
No?

Speaker 5 (22:22):
Wow, I agree about that one quite a bit, where
like I had cut Like I mean, I've been through
like counseling and stuff like that since because like I mean,
it's definitely come with some PTSD from it, Like it
definitely like stills and you.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
Know, it's in your head. It messes with your normality bias,
you know. But yeah, no, it was uh.

Speaker 4 (22:39):
And also like the fact that you would stop there
to fish because there was all this activity on the
fish radar. It's like then he's bleeding because of the cuts,
and I'm just like, yeah, that was a lot, a
lot of stuff.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
But I mean, by the grace guy, we made it
out of that one man. So it was but I
mean the thing that.

Speaker 5 (22:55):
Was crazy about that situation too, is it was like so,
I mean I was out there and it was like
I'd send her this sedical arrangement and then like I'd
also gotten her something else in the Yeah, I can,
I can tell you that story because this was this
was kind of funny. But I had bought her like this,
she had like been in traffic and she had like
had a piano cut and bought her a female journal
and like amazoned it to her and.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
It hadn't been delivered yet, but it was supposed to
be delivered later. It was supposed to be delivered like
in a couple of days because we had a phone
call and say.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
Things ended up differently. Thank god they didn't, but that
would have been the last thing you got from him
was dinner at all the evil arrangements on the call
and it's like wow, and it's like, you know, I
can't tell people were together, but it doesn't matter about that.
But it's still like I want to, you know, speak
about how great you know of a man he is,
but like.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
And like as your last memory, like if things had
got another way.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
But then he sends your urinal and there's a urine.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
Female journal and he's like, you know, equality and like
you should be able to pee up and you know
standing up to it was just so nice. But I'm like,
you just look really creepy. If anyone else wouldn't get it,
you know, I wouldn't.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Well, like if if something happened to Joe and his
last thing was like a phone call in edible rangement,
then I got a female year in all a few weeks,
I would not tell anyone with the year, but I'd
be like, oh, this was not included processed that.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
I don't know what I've ever peed normal again?

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Probably not maybe no, yeah, you might have been traumatized forever.

Speaker 5 (24:23):
But no, Besides all that, though, like I mean when
I was paddling back though, like that was probably the
biggest mom where I was like I was really kicking
myself because it was like I was trying to follow
you try to fall this like dating protocol where it's
like like now someone's like, oh, take your time, like you.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
Know, wait, but it's like like, if.

Speaker 5 (24:39):
You really know you like someone, if you really know
you care about someone, why do and the other person
feels the same way and it's reciprocated. It's like, why
do we feel like we have to follow these like
these timelines that are put in a place if we
have already made the decision, you know what I mean.
And it's like, I mean I understand, like, you know,
you want to let stuff breathe and let it grow,
and I think that that's all important too, But it's like,
I mean, if you know then you know, it's like

(25:00):
then you're just like wasting time and you're you.

Speaker 4 (25:02):
Know, things can get messy in the in the meantime too.

Speaker 5 (25:05):
Yeah, And so it's like, I don't know, I feel
like when you make those commitments, it's like and in
that moment, I was just kicking myself because I was
like here, I was like, I hadn't told her how
I felt I felt this way, and I was like
I was keeping it quiet because I wanted to, you know,
follow that protocol and now I was regretting it and
I was about to die and I was never going
to get to tell her and so when I ended
up getting.

Speaker 3 (25:23):
Saved, like and I got back, it was like the
first PHONK.

Speaker 5 (25:25):
I ended up making like my phone was at the
bottom of the ocean, so I had I had my dad.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
Yeah, it still is.

Speaker 5 (25:31):
But I ended up I let my dad get her
because I couldn't get all my Instagram or anything because
it's all like triple verified or whatever for like actually
and stuff. But I like, message him off. I messaged
her off my dad's account. I was like, Hey, this
is braydon please see this. And like she ended up
saying that, which was rare, and then like call the
number because I hadn't remember her number yet and so yeah,

(25:51):
but and so she ended.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Still doesn't know my number.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
I know his. I'm not his first call if something
happens because he doesn't have my number.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
Yeah, I'm telling you, I believe. I think I see Joe,
and I think Joe would find a way.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
I mean I would, Yeah, I would figure it out.
But it's just you know, when I was growing up,
you had to you kind of remembered numbers, but that
but now you just don't have.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
To give But I have yours memorized. I like intentionally
memorized something she didn't have to do that. Thank you,
thank you.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
I mean, do you really want me to memorize.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
A little bit after hearing stories like this, memorize the number.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
Here's the thing. I know enough people that know you, okay,
like my mom, I know my my parents their home number,
so I would just call them to get a.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
Hold of and then be like call Strina. Yeah all right,
well on the second call, then I guess that's fair. Okay, anyway,
good about you guys.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
No, no, you guys are good.

Speaker 5 (26:50):
But yeah, so I ended up I ended up calling her,
and then it was just like it was just diary
of the mouth.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
At that point, I was just like, hey, listen.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
I'm hearing I don't know any of this going on.

Speaker 5 (27:00):
Was like, I was at sea for three and a
half hours time, I have ten lines, I'm still in
my underwear, I'm dripping wet still.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
I just like, I literally like it's a crazy call.

Speaker 5 (27:09):
And I've been thinking about like when I was out
there in the water, I have had no regrets, Like
I know all my whole family that I love them.
I know my friends know I love them and care
about them. I was like, but the one person in
like I love in a way that I haven't loved
ever is you, and I have not told you that,
and so I just want to let you know that
I love you, and I you know, I know it
might be rushing it, and and she just cut me
off and she's like, I love you too. Yeah, And

(27:31):
it was like and it was just like a really
special moment like that I got to have with her.

Speaker 3 (27:34):
And I was like are you serious?

Speaker 4 (27:36):
Like I was.

Speaker 5 (27:36):
I was like, really, what you have to say that really?
And she's like, no, I really mean it. And it
was just like it was this cool bonding moment and
and then we just.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
Were like enjoying that. And I was like, well, I'm like,
is this is this when I asked you like doing
with my girlfriend?

Speaker 5 (27:50):
Like it was just like I was like, it felt
so like like I felt like I was a kid again.
I was like I didn't know what to say, like
I was. I mean, granted, I was still in shock.
So it's like all the smoothness of like what people
might have seen on TV was like.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
Out the door, you had a lot of adrenaline probably
pumping through you.

Speaker 5 (28:05):
I mean I had been I mean, yeah, as soon
as the boat came to it's like the adrenaline starts
pumping off, like wearing off, and so you start just
crying after that moment. So it's like you're just like
you're crying. You're like, holy crap, like I just almost
died and then didn't helped. The coast guards like wait
are you Yeah.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
You guys from the Bachelorette.

Speaker 5 (28:21):
Yeah, it was like literally like we were out there
for three and a half hours. No one knew we
were missing, and like the first thing the coastguards say
when they see us isn't like, hey, you guys are okay, They're.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
Like, wait, you guys are the guys with a bachelorette.
I'm like, I hate you guys. I literally hate you guys.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
