Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, well, welcome back to bet your Happy Hour.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
I'm Chill and I'm Serena, and we are here.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
Today with our guests Leslie. Leslie, welcome back to the podcast.
The last time we had you, it was the last
time we had you after Gary season.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Yeah, it was right after the Failing Person.

Speaker 4 (00:17):
It was literally the day after the finale.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Crazy, Wow does that feel like a long time ago?

Speaker 4 (00:23):
Now? It feels like forever ago. It's weird.

Speaker 5 (00:27):
Yeah, yeah, it feels like a long time ago for me,
but like you have had so much more of a
journey since that time in your life.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
I know I haven't. I haven't like I have, but
then you know, real life, normal life has completely taken
over and yeah, so but it's just yeah, it was
just definitely. I remember I was coming into the studio
and it was yeah, it was fun. It was a
little hard, it was a little it was you know,

(00:55):
a hard night for me. But you guys actually made it,
I'm going to be honest, made it a lot better.
Like the next day. I really that really helped me.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Oh, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
That's what we're good at. Did you you were actually
at Grant's final Rose Show?

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Yes, yes, but I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
A hundred of them.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
You know you were at a fr did you you
know you're someone that got down to the end, you
know you weren't the chosen one. Did you speak to
latier A because I feel like you guys were kind
of in a little bit of a similar situation.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
I did.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
I met her and.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Yeah, we definitely had a moment and we talked, you
know how we definitely have some similar experience. And then
we took a picture and we held up two fingers
for number two.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
And the middle one.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
And yeah, she seems like I really I really like her.
She's it was very very sweet. So it was good
meeting her.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
How is it seeing Gary? And then we also know
Joan and Chalk were there?

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Yeah, it was It was good. I mean the funny
thing is that Joan and Chalk and Gary and I
actually had a drink after the show at back at
the hotel, and Gary and I just kind of fell
into like friend mode, and you know, we are sharing

(02:34):
a bowl of soup. I mean, I don't know, we
just it's kind of a thing where we're okay with
each other. And I really have a place in my
heart for him. I mean, he was special to me,
and you just don't turn that off just because you know,
you got your heart broken. And obviously so much time

(02:56):
has gone by, and I really want him to be happy.
He wants me to be happy. And he still makes
me laugh and I make him laugh, and it was
it was very easy. So it was nice.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Is there a part of you that's glad that he
didn't choose you?

Speaker 4 (03:10):
Oh? My god? Just what Joe?

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Well, I don't know, Like, I mean, are you looking
at it now? You know it's been a year. Is
there a party that's like, yeah, like with him living
in Indiana?

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Yeah? Like, how do you feel? Do you feel or
what do you think?

Speaker 4 (03:27):
I think things I always say things always work out
the way they're supposed to. And you know, I don't
think it was shown. But the last night, or literally
five minutes before he broke up with me, he said
he would like to move to Minneapolis. So I don't know.
I don't I don't think I would have had to

(03:48):
move to Indiana, but uh, you know, I think things
worked out the way they were supposed to. I I
I really have a place for him in my heart.
But you know, I mean, you just don't know. I
you know, I don't. I don't think we're probably perfect

(04:09):
for each other, you know, at the end of the day, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Have you been dating at all since the show?

Speaker 4 (04:15):
No, I haven't.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Well it's a crazy question. That's not a crazy question.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
No, well no, I know. But it's like people like,
why haven't you been dating? And again, I know I've
said this before, but I live in Minneapolis. I've lived
here my whole life. It's a small, big town. I
know everybody. I'm not going to date someone's ex husband
that I know, you know, Like it's it's just it's

(04:42):
a really hard town for dating. And I actually think
it's a hard town for dating, not just but older people,
but with younger people too. I mean, my daughter has
a hard time. She's thirty three. I'm actually friends Huh.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
I was gonna say.

Speaker 5 (04:58):
I feel like they just filmed the last season of
Love is Blind there, and that was like a common
theme too, of them all being like, yeah, everyone is
connected in some way, like to cast a whole season
of people from the same town, Yeah, that haven't all
like dating each other is not easy, right, Like.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
They always say, why isn't you know the Bachelor do
show where you're in the same town. It like, it
wouldn't work here. It is what I mean. I'm actually
friends with Sarah from Love is Blind. She was my
nurse last year when I was in the hospital, and
we're actually going to meet and have a drink next week.
But she's she's a doll, and you know, you look

(05:36):
at her and you're like, why are you single? You know?
Or why were you single? I mean, it's the same thing.
I get. Everyone gets it, you know. Is this a
hard town?

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Would you consider I mean, you you are cast it on.
We want to get into it, but you are casting
on Golden Paradise. Yeah, if you did meet someone, would
you consider moving?

Speaker 4 (06:01):
I would consider moving if it's the right place. I mean,
and I don't I wouldn't mind having two places. I
love my condo here in Minneapolis. I literally look, you know,
over the city. It's beautiful and I love it, and
Minneapolis is amazing in the summer. But I definitely wouldn't
mind kind of just going back and forth. I mean,

(06:23):
my grandkids are here, and I have three I have
two kids here, my sons in Chicago, so I you know,
I I kind of want to be here, you know,
a little bit of the year.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Well, ideally you meet someone that it like lives in
Florida or Arizona or Vegas, somewhere warm, and then you
could spend time.

Speaker 4 (06:45):
Exactly exactly, or California I have, I have half my
family lives in La so that wouldn't be bad. Or Chicago,
you know, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Just Chicago's cold though, Chicago's cold.

Speaker 5 (06:58):
Yeah, I'm sorry you're Joseph obsessed with the weather today.
This is like the fourth time we've talked about Arizona.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
I don't know why you're coming at me. Probably No, it's.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Cold in New York and we're over it. I'm totally
with you. It's just funny.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
Yeah, I mean it's like forty eight degrees in Minneapolis today,
Like I'm sick of this, you.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Know, and we in forty eight degrees were like yes,
like that's great, but it's not great.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
It fucking sucks and I'm sick of it. Stepping out of.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
My apartment and being instantly stressed because cold winds blowing
at my face. Now I gotta blow my nose, and I
don't have a cleanex.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
I know. Hello, I'm always with clean X always. Everyone's like,
are you sick. I'm like, no, my nose won't stop running.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Truly, it's just cold.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
We had actually, we had Gary on the podcast a
little bit ago, and he was telling us that you
gave him You and Joan gave him some advice regarding
telling Teresa that he is dating someone new.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
It was Yehy that you gave him.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Well, I guess it was after the Grant's finale and
we were on the bus going back to the hotel
together and he asked me, you know, he said he's
dating somebody, and I'm like, oh my god, that's wonderful,
and I'm so happy for you. And and he did
ask me if I should tell Teresa. I said, well,
I think he should, because first of all, I think

(08:23):
she'd be happy for you. And second of all, I
think it's better hearing it from you than seeing it
like on the internet or hearing it from somebody else.
I know that's what I would want, So I just
kind of gave him that advice.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
And you know, well, Gary really has just the best
of both worlds.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
Huh.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
He's able to just get advice from his exes. You
guys are all good friends. Now, this is these dating whoever.
He wants Gary, he's got it going on.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
He definitely.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Are you still close with Teresa?

Speaker 5 (08:57):
I know that you guys kind of developed a friendship
after the show.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
Yeah, we are. She's we just became really good friends
and we text her talk probably every day. She visited
me in Minneapolis last June, and then we met in
New York and we have a really good, really good
relationship and we have fun together, and I just yeah, yeah,

(09:21):
we're good.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Do you think she would ever do Golden Bachelor in Paradise?

Speaker 5 (09:26):
I do.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
I mean, she were too, but I don't know. You know,
she hasn't been announcy, haven't heard anything about.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
Her, Yeah, Leslie Joe.

Speaker 5 (09:38):
So hypothetically, if Teresa did go to Paradise, and obviously
you know you're going as well, which we'll get into.
You've met some of the Golden Men just through the
channels of Bachelor Nation. Is there anyone that you could
see Teresa hitting it off with?

Speaker 4 (09:55):
Oh? I H I think Teresa. I think Keith seems
really funny, and I'm you know, I haven't met him,
but he seems really funny. And Teresa is funny. She's
got a good sense of humor, and you know, I
could maybe see them like having fun together.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
I don't know. For you.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Now, you're somebody that's you've been off the show for
whatever it's been a year or a little over a
year or under a year, and you've you've met a
lot of these guys and a lot of these guys
are going to be in Paradise. So were there any
guys you've developed like interest in that you've met, or
are all the men that you've met thus far? It's

(10:47):
kind of just like those are friendships.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
I think they're just friendships. I mean I haven't met Keith,
I haven't met Dan. I you know, I've met Jordan,
Pascal and doctor Bob. I met him and Gary from
you know, because we were on the finale together. Yeah,

(11:15):
and that's really all I've met. I mean, you know,
I think Jordan and I have a lot in common,
but right now we're just we're good friends and it's okay.
You know, I'd rather be friends with him than then
not be friends with him. But we do have a
lot in common. And yeah, so if he's in Paradise,

(11:37):
that'll be fun just to be with hang out with
him and you know, maybe get to know him better.
But other than that, I don't know. I'm I'm I'm
actually open and I'm going to I don't like want
to have any preconceived ideas about any of them. I
want to be open, and I mean, I never thought

(11:58):
I would fall in love with someone like Gary, So
I'm going to be open and see what happens.

Speaker 5 (12:07):
What's Joan saying, like, is she giving any tidbits of Ooh,
I think you should keep your eye up for this guy,
or I think so and so and this person might match.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
She No, No, we didn't talk about that. I think
she thought that maybe after the show that Jordan and
I would like get together, because she thought that we
would be really good together. But you know, she knows
we're just friends, and but she she didn't say anything. Okay,
So yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
Personal question, and feel free not to answer if you
don't want to. But did you and Jordan attempt to
see if there was like anything romantic there?

Speaker 2 (12:46):
No?

Speaker 5 (12:47):
Okay, so it's an untapped space.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
Yeah, we just I don't know. We just you know, again,
even though Chicago Minneapolis are close in proximity, it's still
two different cities. And we went to a couple of
concerts together. I was in Chicago seeing my son and
he works for Live Nations, so we went together.

Speaker 5 (13:08):
That's kind of a funny cross because your son works
for Live Nation too, doesn't he?

Speaker 4 (13:11):
No, my son, I said, my son works for Live Nation.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
I thought you were saying.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
I was like, no, she had a new job.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
That's so crazy.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
Well, I think it did get an a job. I
don't know what it is, but no, it's not with
Live Nation. My son, I have the hookup.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
That's what I thought. That's what I thought.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
So anyways, so we went to We we really liked
the same music and Cag's The Elephant is one of
my favorite bands, one of his favorite bands, and they
were playing in Chicago, and I just couldn't wait to
see them, and so we went to that and all
American Mejackson. It was fun, but that was really it. So,

(13:50):
you know, we text every once in a while. And
his daughter is a doll. I met Jamie. She's just
a doll, and you know, we'll text every once in
a while. But yeah, I think, I don't know, We're
just I'd rather have us be friends than try something
and then not friends, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
I don't know, maybe maybe Paradise changes things. You never know.
I think, what are your thoughts on meeting Pascal? How'd
that go?

Speaker 4 (14:19):
That was funny? I mean he's he's definitely he's funny.
I mean he just says it like it what is.
He turns to me and goes, Leslie, you look good
and I said, well, thanks, I'm too old for you,
and he goes, how old are you? I said, I'm
sixty five. He goes, yeah, you're too old.

Speaker 5 (14:39):
I mean he did say he likes to a forty
fifty year old woman.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
I think, yeah, I think, but he's got all this,
but you never.

Speaker 5 (14:48):
He also went on a show with David Joan, who
was sixty one, So you're not tiring at him.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
Well, I'm older than Joan, but yeah, I mean I
think he's just funny. He kind of cracks me up.
He just says it like it is. He he doesn't
hold anything back. And yeah, it was funny. So it
was fun meeting him.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
What is your biggest fear going into Paradise and what
are you most excited for?

Speaker 4 (15:13):
Okay, my biggest fear is I don't really have the
biggest fear yet because I don't really like When I
went on The Golden Bachelor, I knew the formula, you know,
because I've been watching it my whole life, and of
course I know the formula of Bachelor in Paradise. But
I don't think it's gonna I think they're going to

(15:35):
change it a little. I think they're going to have
to with us.

Speaker 5 (15:38):
Yeah, you're technically the first group of Goldens to ever
do Paradise. So it's like, I feel like you guys
have the biggest question mark on what you're walking into.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
Can I give you some advice, Yes, I'd love advice.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
I don't think I don't really think they're going to
change shit like I think they may. I think they
may add a few elements to it, but I think
realistically it's still going to be the same. It's going
to be the same format. Like if you meet somebody
that you like, like that.

Speaker 5 (16:08):
In terms of like the relationship falling in love component,
and that's going to be left untouched. Well yeah, I
mean it's still a dating show. It's still right at
the heart of it, it's going to be about finding love.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
Yeah, and that totally I get. I just don't like
everyone's like, are you guys going to be dating each other,
meaning the young and old, and I don't think that's
going to happen. I doubt it, you know. I don't know.
I mean, like how much time are we spending with
the young ands? Like, you know, It's just it's it's

(16:40):
a little bit of a question mark for me. I
don't even know where we're going, you know, so I
can't really be a am I afraid of the unknown?
I don't know. I'm usually not like that. I'm I
kind of just go with it my free spirit. It's
like whatever will be will be. I'll take it day
by day. I don't know, you know, like just I'll
just do it. And I'm most excited about, you know,

(17:03):
to see my some of my friends that are going
to be there obviously, and to make new friends and
you know, the potential of finding love really is exciting
for me. So yeah, I guess that's what I'm looking
forward to. And being in a beautiful place hopefully and
maybe some air conditioning. And I love the beach, so

(17:24):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (17:26):
Yeah, we see you in in Costa Rica all the time,
and then when we went you gave us some res which.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
Was I know, I know, well, Costa Rica is definitely
my happy place. Where where I go, not where we
did our finale, because I like thee I go to Tamarindo.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
That's where we went.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, and I served, did you guys served?

Speaker 2 (17:51):
We did? We did surf lessons twice twice.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
I've really enjoyed it.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
I was somebody that was very hesitant even like trying,
because I'm like, I just know I'm not going to
be Yeah, but I really I really enjoyed it.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
Yeah. No, it's good. If you have a good teacher,
then it's amazing. Yeah, I mean it's I just love
it so much. I just love it there. It's definitely
my happy place.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
You're happy.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
How many times a year do you go out there?

Speaker 4 (18:19):
Well, usually just once. Last year I went twice, but
this coming January it would be like my seventh time there.
Seventh retreats I've done there and yeah, and I and
I have a full group every time I go, and
we just have so much fun. And now I know
the place, and you know, I got the lay of

(18:40):
the land, and it's a lot easier when you know
what you're where you're going and everything.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
Do you have a favorite restaurant.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
Yeah, Pengas, we have we gone there.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
No, we didn't make it.

Speaker 4 (18:51):
I told you guys to go there.

Speaker 5 (18:52):
I thought we were going there, but I got Patagonia
and Pangos confused.

Speaker 4 (18:57):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
I was like, oh, we're going to the restaurant that
Leslie recommended. We're going.

Speaker 5 (19:01):
And then after I like went back and checked our
DM sols, I was like, I feel like that wasn't
because you posted. You posted at paying a few weeks
later and I was like, yeah, oh, I was like
that was not where.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
Oh darn.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
I feel like we'll be back there.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
Yeah. It is beautiful with the sunset on the beach
and you're you're basically eating on the sand. But it's
kind of a nice restaurant. And I mean it is
a beautiful restaurant, great food, and it's just so much fun.
And every time I go, I mean, well lately since
the show, everyone they recognize me. I'm going from table
to table taking pictures. It's kind of funny, and you know,

(19:39):
I feel like like work there.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
How was passed over this past weekend I saw you
your grandson.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
Yes, it was great. I always loved I mean, I
don't know, holidays are special because I get to be
with my family and my grandkids, and you know I
love to cook. And yeah, it was great passovers. I
love passover.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
What is with the green screen?

Speaker 3 (20:09):
Where are you?

Speaker 2 (20:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (20:12):
I know, I know, I'm like, I'm making an action movie. No,
I am at a studio Minneapolis because I am filming
some on demand videos for Lifetime and so it kind
of just coincided with today with the podcast. And so
I'm in a room and it's actually a really like

(20:33):
this huge green wall. But I have a blur thing
on my my zoom and I don't even know how
it got there. I never even put that there. So
it is a green it is a green wall.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
We on demand videos for Lifetime. What does that mean?

Speaker 4 (20:50):
Yeah, so Lifetime Fitness has on demand, Like they have
an app and you don't even have to belong to
Lifetime to utilize the app. And so on the app
they have, they have on demand videos. So like if
you feel like doing like today, I'm doing dance and pilates,
so and it's only twenty minutes eat. So if you
feel like doing pilates with Leslie, you know whatever, and

(21:11):
you scroll and you find my video and that's how
it works.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
So there's a week do you do pilates?

Speaker 4 (21:18):
Well, I actually teach bar pilates. I do a combo
and I teach that three days a week.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
Wow, So like, yeah, all right, I've always been interested
in plates. I've done it at a handful of times.
But I do feel like it's one of those exercises
where if you don't do it on a consistent basis,
and like I would say, minimum once a week. Yeah,
like does it even does it do anything? Like if

(21:45):
you do it like once every like three months, is
it No?

Speaker 4 (21:49):
No, because most exercises if you do once every three
months is kind of pointless. So yeah, but I would say,
you know, like I teach at pilates, but I've been
taking reformer pilates and that is that's kind of changed
my body a little bit, you know, And so.

Speaker 5 (22:08):
Hard Reformer plates is honestly the hardest work yet I do.

Speaker 4 (22:11):
It's the hardest thing. It's the hardest. And I have
this instructor that is she is so hard. Is every
class is different and every I'm dying and it's only
fifty minutes and I'm dying and every oh my god.
But it's really it's helped me become stronger and it's
helped me with my posture. And yeah, so I think,

(22:32):
to be honest with you, any kind of exercise, I
think you have to do at least twice a week
to get the benefits of it.

Speaker 3 (22:39):
Yeah, but what do you think, like if I were
if let's say, you know, I work out five days
a week and one of those days.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Is pilates, So technically, you know, I do pilates four
times a month. Yeah, is that Is there any benefit
in that? You think?

Speaker 4 (22:53):
Well? I think so as long as you're doing other
things and then you know, you can coorporate your pilates
and other things, like when you learn how to you know,
when you become one with your core, you utilize it
pretty much throughout all your other exercises that you do,
even if you play golf or any sports that you do. So,

(23:15):
like I used to be a figure skater and now
figure skaters take a lot of pilate's and I wish
I would have had that tool when I was skating
because I think it would have helped all skaters back
then to be better at their sport.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
So yeah, definitely, definitely.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
Yeah, going back to going back to Paradise, any questions
you would want to ask us since.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
Yeah, especially I know I know your veterans. I know,
so are you like filming outside all day long and
the heat like is there?

Speaker 2 (23:53):
It's really really well.

Speaker 5 (23:55):
Okay, So it might be slightly different for you guys,
because I know that when you filmed Golden Bosch or
your filming hours were much shorter than regular season of
the Bachelor. So when we filmed Paradise, the hours are
incredibly long. It was like, this sounds so like scary,
and I'm not trying to say it's scary, but like

(24:15):
it was like the first week was really intense for filming.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
It's just really long.

Speaker 5 (24:21):
There's so many people, there's so many stories, there's so
much happening.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Okay, I will interject here because it is. But it's
also you have a lot of freedom, yeah, opposed to
the actual show. Like you kind of wake up in Paradise,
you get breakfast and for the most part, besides like
the host coming in once every couple days, you could
kind of do whatever. It's just like sometimes that whatever

(24:48):
is interesting, so they're gonna throw a camera in your face.
But like if you're whatever you're doing is like if
if you and Jordan are friends in that relationship doesn't
go anywhere, and you guys are just having a friendly conversation.
It's kind of just like, yeah, chill, like you're on vacation.

Speaker 4 (25:04):
Yeah, okay, Well, I mean our show, The Golden Bachelor
was shorter, so of course that that was all that
was shorter. But I don't know if this one is.
I don't know anything about it. Everyone thinks I'm lying.
I'm like, well, first of all, if I knew everything,
I wouldn't say. But second of all, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (25:24):
No, they I mean, we don't really know anything either.
But I mean when we were going on the show,
at least for me, maybe it was a little different
for you, Joe, But I was completely in the dark too,
Like I was like, I don't know what I'm getting
myself into here, Like I hope I packed appropriately and
I hope that I have fun.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
Yeah, yeah, I mean I guess you know, you guys
look like you had fun and you know it wasn't
too Are your emotions like really high? And are you
tired a lot? And because we were really tired and
Golden Bachelor.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
Yeah, I mean, yeah, you're tired. I was tired.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
I was really tired.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Have you thought about Okay, so you know, you were
you were on the Golden Bachelor, So you were competing
for a man with other women. Yeah, you know, and
when it got serious, there were still other women in
Gary's life that you were competing against. Have you thought
about the fact that, like you now may be in
a position where multiple guys are into you and you're

(26:26):
potentially like questioning who you're into, Like you could be
in the love triangle with two men.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
Have you thought about that? Well?

Speaker 4 (26:34):
I have thought about that, and that's going to be
the hard part for me because I don't like hurting
people's feelings, and you know, I mean I don't want to.
I don't like when my feelings are hurt, and I
don't you know, I have a hard time, you know,
I'm not very I just don't.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
Don't want to hurt anyone.

Speaker 4 (26:54):
Yeah, yeah, I just don't want to hurt anyone.

Speaker 3 (26:57):
That's the way you are, because if you were the
opposite way that you, probably you'd be a monster. I
actually have going down there because I want to hurt some.

Speaker 4 (27:05):
I can't wait to bust something. No, I you know,
I don't know. I'm just gonna see how it goes.
But again, I you know, we'll see, we'll see how,
We'll see how it plays out.

Speaker 5 (27:16):
Is there anyone from Gary season that you hope goes
down as well?

Speaker 4 (27:24):
From Gary season? Well, I mean my good friends are Teresa, Ellen, Sandra,
I love Edith. I mean, those are just the girls
I kind of hang out with. I you know, I'm
if Faith goes I'm kind of excited to see. I
would be excited to see her because she always gave

(27:46):
me a little chuckle and she's very sweet girl. So
it'll be good to see. It'll be good to see
all of them. Really, I mean, whoever, I really don't
even know who's going. So who's whoever's there.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Whoever's there, You're happy to see that.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
Where they I think this could be something that happens
where they bring in men and women that haven't yet been.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
On Oh you think, I don't think so, you don't
think so?

Speaker 4 (28:15):
Well, Okay, so that's another thing. If if some of
us go, don't they have to replenish like they do
that on the normal show.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
Yeah, I know that's a good point.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
Well, so I would would if we got like, you know,
a few randoms.

Speaker 2 (28:30):
Like Saraphina's mom like a parent.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
I'd even think about that, but sure, I mean.

Speaker 5 (28:34):
That would be an example of someone who like wasn't
on the Golden backt show, Like we know who she
is and of her were single, she has that connection.
Oh my god, are we gonna have like parent and
children dynamics on this season?

Speaker 1 (28:48):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (28:49):
I mean maybe because who whose son was at was
that Jones tell all Gary Son?

Speaker 3 (28:58):
He was old enough, you know, and even like grand
sister could be someone that goes.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
We'll see.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
I mean, there's a lot of people that applied for
Golden Bachelor and Golden Bachelrette. Maybe they'll take some of
those people. I don't know, definitely, very yeah, I'd be
fine meeting new people. Who knows?

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Yeah, what what has been after?

Speaker 3 (29:23):
You know? Now looking back, what's been the best takeaway
from you from all of this? From you being you know,
going on Golden meeting all new people, just like being
part of this franchise, Well.

Speaker 4 (29:42):
That I think that I think being part of like
Bachelor Nation and meeting of course all my friends and
you know, and and the younger people and becoming friends
with Trista and people like that, which I, you know,
loved from for so long and you guys, I mean

(30:02):
just everybody, and you just have that bond that you know,
there's just not a lot of people in the world
that have that bond. And it's just like when I
came home, I missed my friends, you know, people that
I've been friends with forever growing up. But then the
girls from the show, I'm you know, they we're the

(30:24):
only ones that really experience that experience and knows how
we felt. And so there's that bond and that's never
going to go away. So I came out of the
show so much richer, just with relationships and you know, friendships.
And I'm still hopeless romantic and I'm hoping that I

(30:48):
find love, whether it's on Bachelor in Paradise or outside
of it, but hopefully.

Speaker 5 (30:55):
How do your family and friends feel about you went
back on TV.

Speaker 4 (30:59):
Well, my kids are like, of course, of course, this
is good for you, mom, Like you know, they they
love it. You know, my my daughter played the funniest
April Fools joke on me. We were We're all in
a group text and she and she said, and I
didn't realize it was April Fools. When she did this,
and she goes, Mom, I have to tell you now.
They they gave me the green light to tell you.

(31:19):
But they contact me two months ago and I'm going
on Bachelor in Paradise with you. They want a mother
daughter thing and I and I believed her and I
was jumping up and down and I couldn't believe it,
and I'm like, oh my god, this is the best news.
And then she's like, mom, April fools. And I'm like,
cause I was getting carried away. I was like planning,
you know. But yeah, my kids, Yeah, they're they're they're

(31:43):
big supporters of mine, and I think I could probably
do no wrong in their eyes.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
So yeah, for the guys going on Bachelor in Paradise
who are potentially listening to this podcast right now and
are interested in you, what advice would you give them
to try to, you know, date you.

Speaker 4 (32:10):
I would say, don't get to uh clinging too bad?

Speaker 6 (32:19):
Okay, be funny, make me laugh, and uh, you know,
just be yourself really and just don't try too hard,
because because I can always tell when someone's trying too hard,
I guess that's what.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
Your advice have been.

Speaker 5 (32:38):
When if you got asked that question before you were
going on our season ah, and they were like, Joe,
you're going back on Paradise, Like, what should the girls
that are interested in you know.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
That's a good one.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I asked the questions.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
I don't I don't uh answer, I don't know what.
But that was a good answer, and it was it
was an honest try. I would probably Yeah. I think,
just like be yourself and you know, if we hit
it off, we hit it off.

Speaker 4 (33:07):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
That's all. That's all. What's so funny?

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Nothing?

Speaker 1 (33:12):
I don't know, Leslie. Thank you so much for coming on.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
I were very excited to watch you in Bachelor and Paradise.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
I'm sure we'll see you again.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
Yeah, you'll be all here, guys. I will be I
will be channeling my Serena and Joe vibes when I'm there,
and I yeah, you gave you were good examples for
the show.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
So thank you.

Speaker 4 (33:36):
Just make sure you just.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Make sure you take some time when you're down there too,
just like even if it's ten minutes a day for
yourself to just like breathe and relax and kind of
just like remember, like you.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
Know, just chill out.

Speaker 4 (33:49):
Yeah, good advice.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
It could get overwhelming and yeah.

Speaker 5 (33:52):
It's very overstimulating at times. I think that's good advice.
I feel like I was like, I don't want to
miss anything, like I was in it, and I like
burnt myself out so fast.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
Joe took the opposite approach.

Speaker 1 (34:03):
I also was sick.

Speaker 4 (34:05):
I was also say you're sick.

Speaker 5 (34:06):
But I think like a good like you know, ten
to fifteen minute wellness check, grounding yourself every day is
good advice.

Speaker 4 (34:13):
I like that. I like that because I'm I'm a
person that has FOMO and I get like I miss
this and I'm I don't want to miss that. But
I think that's good advice. So thank you.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Yeah, okay, Leslie, thank you, Thank you.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
