Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, everyone, welcome back to Beat your Happy Hour.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
I'm Joe and I'm Sena.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
And we are here with the iHeart Music Awards and
David's Bridal who.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Are sponsoring this podcast, and you're so grateful to them.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Thank you, thank you for finishing my sentence. And we
are here with our favorites Dotting and Charity.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Hello, we're not your favorite.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
I feel like we've had this conversation.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
You introduce every couple.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Of the same Out of all the couples, you guys
have been on this podcast the most probably really, how
does that make you feel? I feel a certain way.

Speaker 4 (00:37):
A little bit on top of the tier.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Top tier.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
How did you feel podcasting with me? Charity?

Speaker 4 (00:46):
I loved it. I was kind of nervous. I didn't
tell you that before. I was like, I just don't
know how this.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Is going to go.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Oh really, you said you did a great job.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
Oh thank you. No, it's just like it's Joe.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
I don't really know what that no not about.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
But I was like, I just know Joe's like humor.
Like I was like recommending gotten to do it. I
was like that would be so funny, but probably too chaotic.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
But I actually had a great time, and it did
go good.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Yeah, you were great.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
The we'd had all the four guys on, including you,
it was chaotic. It got chaotic for a minute. So
we have fantasy suites tonight?

Speaker 6 (01:20):
Yep, well last night, last morning, this Monday, but this
is coming out on Tuesday.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Who was up first?

Speaker 6 (01:27):
It was Zoe, then Julie. No, Juliana then Zoe, then Letia.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yes, okay. Now I have a question. Where would you
want to be placed for Fantasy Suites? Do you want
to go first? Or do you want to go last?

Speaker 4 (01:43):
I would love to be in the middle.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
You want you want to be in the middle? Do
you think that's the best spot?

Speaker 5 (01:48):
I don't want to be first because I feel like
that's like too much pressure and like with all things considering,
and then last is like.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
You just don't want to go No, you don't. Yeah,
But I always say say, where did Dowton go the last?

Speaker 7 (02:02):
Which I ended up like figuring because obviously they don't
tell us, so you do never know, but d figuring
it out because it was so long between the time.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
I was like, there must be like a couple other people.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Right, they won't tell you, like, hey, you're going last.

Speaker 6 (02:13):
It'll just be like you show up and maybe your first,
maybe your last.

Speaker 7 (02:17):
Yeah, I know Pat would come every day. He'd be
like maybe today today.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Is kind of the same.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
He was last.

Speaker 5 (02:24):
That's why I thought he wasn't going to He was
the last for Hometowns too. I was like, you're like,
why don't you like me?

Speaker 4 (02:30):
And he go first?

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Like hello, No, I actually appreciate it going last.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
I would want to go last.

Speaker 7 (02:35):
That's why the middle of the last is good. But
I like last, because I mean lasting impression first and foremost.
You get to be the last one to release.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Yeah right, yeah, and you don't have to sit on
your I think first is the worst one.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
Mid middle is good, but I feel like first is
the worst because then you have you have a great
time and then you have to.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Sit on it all.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
That's what I'm saying. My mind would like, not let
me do that.

Speaker 7 (02:57):
The only reason why I first, I think anybody would
even like like first, is because you know, like the like, yeah,
I don't want any you know part of the show,
You're going to pretend.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Like it's not.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Well, did you pick your order? No, okay, see.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
I would prefer I wanted him first.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Did you.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
I would prefer to go last because of what Juliana
said in this episode of like everything went really great, yeah,
but like now two other.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
People are going like how's it?

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Like this could have been amazing, but now it could
be like amazing times too with the X person and
then I'm fuck.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Which is what Serena was saying.

Speaker 5 (03:42):
It's like you have to sit on your thoughts of
like whether it went good or even if it went bad.
It's like, now I have all this time in this
window before I see him again.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah that sucks, Okay, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
I was gonna say I felt like going last.

Speaker 7 (03:55):
I felt very comfortable somewhat in that bro ceremony because
it was just like, yeah, you just you can more
or less predict sort of how.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Things went, yeah, and you can read the other Yeah,
you'll get a vibe.

Speaker 6 (04:07):
I feel like you can get more of a vibe
at the end of the week because if you guys
are in a really good place, you're going to know,
and if the other two dates have gone well and
you might be on the chopping block, you're gonna know.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Off script, really, wait, how did you know what my
vibe was? Sorry?

Speaker 5 (04:24):
I don't think we ever talked about this. Yeah, at
the roast ceremony. You just said you kind of saw
the vibe.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
No, No, this is good because I want to get
real with this because I have another question for you
to like not.

Speaker 7 (04:36):
Like yours, but like, here's what my thought process is.
If I was going home, there's no way you would
have had much energy. You would not have been like excited,
you know what I'm saying. Like you'd be definitely like
laid down, unless you're.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Just like a horrible person.

Speaker 7 (04:48):
You'd be laying down like the carpet for uh, you
know this person I'm going to send them home.

Speaker 6 (04:54):
Yeah, you'd be like cushioning the blow, trying to be
like hey, yeah.

Speaker 7 (04:59):
Say it's like, you know, we've had a really good time,
you know, like you heard that, yeah exactly, So like
none of that was there.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
We were like just smiling was like our first aid,
you know.

Speaker 7 (05:09):
And I knew you were retired and so even despite that,
So that's why I was like somewhat comfortable.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Okay, Yeah, okay, So let's get real. Cameras are cameras
are off? You're not recorded? Did you ask her like, hey,
is it me?

Speaker 3 (05:24):
No? I never did, I never I never straight up
asked no, why not? Well, I I don't know.

Speaker 7 (05:31):
Maybe it's a that an African in me, but like
I'm never too confident about anything, even if it's like
it's clear, and uh, I think I've talked about seeing
the show too that like generally, when something feels like
it's mine ends up falling.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
I fall short, and so it's just like don't want to.
I didn't want to exact, I.

Speaker 6 (05:47):
Didn't want to, like if I asked, it's going to
take me out of the running and like push her away.

Speaker 7 (05:52):
Exactly, yeah, or just changed you know what the plan is,
what what the universe's plans is?

Speaker 3 (05:56):
So yeah, that's really it was more of a personal thing.

Speaker 6 (06:00):
I feel like a lot of people have that mentality
and fantasy suits because we asked a lot of people
like did you ask the question like is it me?

Speaker 2 (06:06):
And I would say no, one on this podcast ever
has It's.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
Also not fair really spotlight, Yeah, how.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Would you have received that?

Speaker 5 (06:14):
I respectfully would have declined answering that. Yeah, And I
do have like somewhat of regrets from my season, but
like it was never anything like I was making actual
promises of like Okay.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
I can't wait to get engaged.

Speaker 5 (06:27):
Like I never said any of these things, and I
think that would have just definitely put him in a
not so good headspace regardless of the outcome.

Speaker 6 (06:35):
But yeah, well, I guess the last thing you want
to do too is say it and like even if
you're one hundred percent sure, in that moment, God forbids
something that changes, or like you realize you're not compassive
to me, and then you're like, oh my god, I
have to eat my words exactly, which I knew that.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Yeah, thank god, Oh you did good, you did good.
What did you guys talk about?

Speaker 4 (06:53):
What is the fantasy s.

Speaker 6 (06:55):
No?

Speaker 2 (06:56):
No, we have fantasy suits on Paradise.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Yeah, yeah, nay suits and we had.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
We didn't do boom boom room, so did skipping Forward.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
I actually when we left, when we left fantasy Suites,
I was not sure if I was like, I'm not going.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
To ask you to marry me, and I said, please don't.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
And then you know, you give me a you see
it now dated by myself and.

Speaker 6 (07:24):
I leave him for like a day and I come
back and he's like bought like a new couch and
booked a scripture Japan, Like you can't leave him alone.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
We get on. Yeah we booked.

Speaker 6 (07:33):
Yeah, well he booked in a day. I like literally
he was like, I have nothing to do to him,
like go book.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Us still Planet trick.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
This is after the after.

Speaker 6 (07:43):
Joe just like leaving him alone is so dangerous he
needs a buddy of.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
All times, my god, maybe.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Staneous.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
How do we feel about Letilla saying that she doesn't
want to be intimates?

Speaker 6 (08:05):
She also said, don't tell me anything about the other
women that I agree with that I please not.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
Yeah, that's like like I shouldn't even have to tell you,
like I know what happens everything.

Speaker 5 (08:19):
You didn't like I say that, but you were just
like it was like I understood, like respect our relationships was.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Like I don't need to know.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (08:27):
Well, I think what provoked it was Katie and Katie
Beggar and Lytia to sit down chat and kind of unpacked.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
What Katie went through, and Lytia was.

Speaker 6 (08:36):
Like, this has kind of giving me the confidence to
actually explicitly say to him, hey, we don't this is
she I think her exact what was this is an
honesty hour. If you did anything, let's deal with it
later and not now.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
When we have like such limited.

Speaker 6 (08:52):
Time to Yeah, I mean, which that was interesting because
I think it's I agree, it's like typically you think
it's an unspoken rule. I think it was the first
time we've seen someone ex deplicitly be like, shut your
mouth and don't tell me about your other connection.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
Yeah, I don't. Yeah, you're right. I don't think we've
ever seen it like be air that way.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
Interesting. I wonder what that says about the lead, like
what she thinks for yeah, to like feel like you
need to say.

Speaker 5 (09:15):
That, do Yeah, I feel like you think that he
like she probably viewed him as someone who would be
vocal about those things.

Speaker 7 (09:21):
Maybe she was nervous about it, yeah, or you know,
most likely I think it's just like the church thing
probably is the biggest part of it. Yeah, But it
is interesting because I would never really like think to
explicitly like it wouldn't be eating me up, like, oh,
I got to tell Charity, like, don't tell me, like
you know, I would just be like, she's probably not
going to I'm like reiterate, right.

Speaker 6 (09:39):
No. I think that's a good point because if you
didn't feel like you have to say that to Charity,
it probably speaks to the way that you are moving
throughout your journey, and it also probably speaks to the
way that maybe Grant's been moving.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
If she felt like, hey, like, yeah, don't you don't
tell me anything.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
I also think it's different, a little different for men
and women.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
I think a woman going into a room alone with
a man is more like, let me lay the ground
rules before we step into this room.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
I didn't do that where a guy like, but you
were different, like you were in the power position.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Okay, yeah, I wouldn't expect I'm still scared, but I
wouldn't expect Dotton to be like, hey.

Speaker 5 (10:20):
Just so you know, i'd be crazy good TV.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
You start talking.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
I wouldn't have that actually gave me the.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
No.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
So we saw that you were in Austin.

Speaker 6 (10:40):
Yeah, with a lot of the girls from your season
and Letia.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Yeah she second trip. Second trip was almost lost the light.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
But it was fun.

Speaker 5 (10:53):
How was it?

Speaker 3 (10:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (10:53):
It was good. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
They actually left like a day early.

Speaker 5 (10:56):
Katie had to head back, but we celebrated it was
her and her like joint birthday.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Katie and Mercedes.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
Mercedes and Lytia.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Part of your crew.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
What was he? What was her in?

Speaker 7 (11:09):
Like?

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Who is her contact? In the group that she.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
I want to say, it was Katie first, and then
it became me right, and then it just trinkle. So
obviously Katie went on their season to give Lytia advice
for Fantasy Sweet. So that was like the initial like
spark of friendship, and then I think it just continued

(11:33):
afterwards and then following everything.

Speaker 6 (11:36):
Yeah, so you guys were in Salt Lake City, which
I'm assuming is the first time that she kind of
met all of you in person.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
We were in Where were we Montana? Montana? Yeah, she's
in Utah. She lives in you. Weren't you guys on
a trip a while ago in Utah? I never went
where were you in? Bikinis in the snow Montana? Okay?
She flew out and joined Okay, I don't know why.

Speaker 6 (11:59):
I think I just assumed you were because that's where
she lives, and I was like, oh, they must be
in her.

Speaker 5 (12:05):
Please you want to say something, jump in join the
convers and gun he hates.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
The bikinis in the snow conversation.

Speaker 6 (12:13):
But anyway, yeah, cold, it was wet.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Wow, they were sick though.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
Thank you, I love you, appreciate worth it.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
See, I don't get that I don't get bikinis in
the snow, just like, yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
I don't. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
I was like, it's also like you get sick of taking.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
But if him and if him and I did that,
if we did likes in the snow, you guys would
be like douchebags.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
I would be like, let's see it. I would not
complaint do stuff like that.

Speaker 6 (12:51):
He's like, it's going to be the name of this
podcast episode that's Happy Hour spos.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
In the Snow, David, if you're listening, sponsor speaking of
speed as we have Paradise coming up.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Excellent, Thank you, good, thank you.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
I'm professional. You know, it's my story here. Out of
all your friends from the show, who are you.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Most excited to watch for Paradise or who do you hope.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
Is going to be there? And you would be the
most excited to watch.

Speaker 7 (13:31):
Just because I hang out with them so much. Definitely
Jeremy and John B. I really, I'm so for so,
I'm so messy. As soon as like, I want everyone
to go to the beach, even it's a horrible idea
for them, I still want them to go.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
I'm like, dude, you should go.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
The biggest him, I would never do it. But I
tell them to do it, so they're going to do it.
I think I've convinced them.

Speaker 7 (13:53):
I'm excited for them, and honestly, like if any of
the guys from our season went truly because I just
love them so much.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
I just love watching them and it makes me invested.

Speaker 6 (14:02):
Any like potential pairs that you see, we've heard Graham,
I'll tell you Grant said John B.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
No, John B. Jiggity John who I'm screaming who John?

Speaker 4 (14:17):
Who's again?

Speaker 6 (14:18):
Jonathan and jiggedy there we have a lot of j
names in the recent season. To be honest, Jonathan and
Alex from this last season was his like in Heaven,
this is gonna sound really bad.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
No, say it, let's start.

Speaker 4 (14:39):
No, That's what I'm like.

Speaker 5 (14:39):
I hope I don't in trouble for saying this, But
like I feel like they like match well. But like
I actually don't know about personality, okay, A Like I
just think he might be like a tad bit more like,
you know, just a little bit more he.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Okay, Like really you don't get that from Alex.

Speaker 5 (14:57):
No, I feel like she's actually a lot I mean
as far as I've seen, so I just don't know.
I haven't met her in person yet, but like I
just don't since that I don't know.

Speaker 7 (15:08):
You are.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Hear what you're saying.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
But does Alex post a lot?

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Yeah, she's talk a lot.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
Isn't there like a rumor that she like dated, Yeah?

Speaker 6 (15:18):
I think she was dating like a DJ for a while.
You didn't, don't. This is not incredible journalistic podcast guys,
So no one, But yeah, that's just my take them. Okay, Okay,
I can't.

Speaker 7 (15:35):
I can't say anything on my own because no, no, no,
I can't because there's like past history with some of
the people are making of I don't want to bloop
anyone spot.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
Okay, hopefully it just you up on the beach. That'd
be fun.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
TV hate that there's always past history. That's why I
hate that Paradise. It is like so like there's such
a big gap.

Speaker 5 (15:51):
I feel like you start, do you. It's annoying because
I feel like that's what's happened last season.

Speaker 6 (15:57):
That's why it is annoying and it never works out
and we know that.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
But also like it adds so much to the show
because your tea.

Speaker 6 (16:05):
What I like about it is like you're getting like
real life drama that has already happened. And then they're like,
you're seeing things unfold in like real time. That's not
fully like from the bubble, no, like pulling things from
like the real world and being like.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
All right now hash.

Speaker 5 (16:24):
It out, no see I but yes, you're right, and
I I like that. But that only works when it's
like people who aren't like TV conscious.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
I feel like a lot of sorry, yes that's what
I'm like.

Speaker 5 (16:38):
They're like, oh, we shouldn't talk about it, like you
need someone sorry, respectful like Carolina that doesn't care and
it's probably gonna.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
Come on and like put it all them see what.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
We see a lot more of that now than we
did when I was on my first Most people were
just like, I'm here to just like make reality TV
and I don't because social media it was around, but
I guess it just wasn't. I mean, it was really popular,
it just wasn't like it is today. Yeah, people didn't.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
Really well, people weren't like they.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Weren't expecting backlash.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
They were just like that's what you were trying to say?

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Yeah, yeah, like there was there was kind of no
there was there was way less fear of being on reality.

Speaker 4 (17:18):
Teaching how people are going to perceive you.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Yeah, just the hate you'll get on social media that
that wasn't even a thing like you think about.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Yeah, that's like in the last five years.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
That's like yeah, And I think that's why we see
so many people kind of like Timid not really airing
it out, which I kind of wish, I wish they did.

Speaker 6 (17:35):
Yeah, well yeah, And I think there's the added component
of like the people that are loved on this show,
you know, like you know, the Daisy and Maria for example,
from recent seasons. They end up with these massive Instagram followings,
which ends up being like new careers and new financial opportunities.
So I think there's that kind of like underlying thought process,
especially when people go on Paradise and maybe like didn't

(17:56):
work out the first time, and they're like, well, you know,
if it doesn't work out again, like yeah, I mean
this could happen for me, And I feel like you
just end up with so many more like people that
are moving in a like a very I don't want
to say, calculated strategic way that doesn't always work in
their favor, you know what I mean. It's like sometimes
it's like you're being too calculated to where like it

(18:17):
doesn't feel authentic.

Speaker 7 (18:18):
I think it depends on certain factors, like how you look.
How about that who would get away with some nonsense.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
There's definitely people that ken and cannot get away with nonsense.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
Yeah, so.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
I think we downplay how much luck is involved. Like
I don't really know if it's the environment for me,
but like, really.

Speaker 6 (18:48):
I feel like you're really you. You had one two
year serious relationship from the show, and then the next
time you went on you got married. It's like the
best environment for you. You've never had a relationship that
outside of the show. Relationships are from that. Ever, this

(19:10):
is like you're the poster child for like you need
to be in that environment.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
I love.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Okay, Yeah, I guess I don't really have a comeback,
but you're not.

Speaker 6 (19:24):
Going to be like I'm amazing on the show, so
I'll hype you up like I think the ship, But
I also think the formula works for you, and I
don't know if it works for everyone.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
I think I know why though.

Speaker 7 (19:33):
I think it's because you're, like you're a very thoughtful person,
You're pretty like cerebral. I think that are working out
in favor unlike the opposite, which would be like a
cat right who's like doesn't have Well.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
I also think I look, I look into the future
and I'm like, okay, like this is what it is
down here, but like everything will change when you step
into the real world and then like then I'll see
if it really works. But I think I know enough
right now, or I could take that chance.

Speaker 5 (20:01):
Also said you're taking a big risk, like a lot
of like respectually, I would be terrified if.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
I went to Paradise. But that's the thing I'm gonna
I would not do good Ondise.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Really, why do you think you would do?

Speaker 5 (20:11):
It's just the environment, like if I especially like just
the fact that it's like no one's in control, like
you're only in control of yourself. If I had like
an interest and say it was like me and Dottan
on the beach, obviously, I can't really speak on this
because I'm like, if it was him, obviously, but if
I locked in on him and like then there's like
someone else, like I goes into like if I knew
we had established a connection at a certain point. I'm

(20:33):
just not someone who wants to like bargain and like
let me, you know, respectfully test out everybody on the Yeah,
I don't care enough, Like if I'm vibing with someone,
then I expect that to continue and my feelings respectfully
would get like hurt.

Speaker 6 (20:43):
Well, I also think it would be hard going from
being the lead where you have all the controls never
lead to then no control.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
Never yeah yeah yeah yeah. Don do you think he
would thrive in paradise?

Speaker 3 (20:56):
I think I could do it. I wouldn't. I don't
think I would find love, but I think I can
like put emotions. But that's what I mean, pretty good
at like doing that.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
But that's what I mean when I say luck, Like
you don't think you would find love? Right, but if
charity was on the beach, oh when you went, then.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
You you would make it work.

Speaker 7 (21:11):
Oh no, that's that's the most important thing I think
you said you mentioned it is that luck. I actually,
as one of those people who never undermines the importance
of luck in this process, I think it's the most
important thing. And again, like I got lucky with the
guys that we were with, right because they were all
really cool. If there were assholes and douches, I probably
wouldn't have opened up and I would not you know
what I'm saying, Like there's a lot of fact people
don't take into consideration.

Speaker 6 (21:32):
Yeah, like if he wasn't down there, like if he
went a season later than me, I would not have
ended up engaged left on right, So like sometimes it's
just lining up the right people at the right time.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Or even where you get placed. Like I was the
third person on the beach, But what if I was
the first drop, Like I wasn't even original cast.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
And you took someone else on a date.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
Like what would have happened? Right?

Speaker 4 (21:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Yeah, you never know on the regular.

Speaker 7 (21:58):
Show, like if I had a lot of tension in
the first couple of weeks, you know what I'm saying,
Like it was kind of nice that I had a
slow ramp up because then she didn't get bored.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
Of me, you know.

Speaker 6 (22:09):
Juliana Actually she came on and told us that she
told Grant to not give her an early one on
one date because she knew she wasn't going to be
able to open up, and that's why she had like
the last one on one of the season.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
What do you think about that? That's interesting?

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Yeah, yeah, so that is kind of smart for sure.

Speaker 7 (22:25):
Yeah, I think statistically they show that those early connections
almost always fizzle out.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Right, I might need I think it's a good.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Idea to like like.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
I'm not glowing anymore.

Speaker 7 (22:38):
Yeah, I think I think it's I think that's actually
a really smart idea to say save it. And then yeah,
again it's all about like who's so many options? Whose
top of mind? You know, it's recency bias is a
real thing, and so like if you want a better shop,
you don't want to be an early connection.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
Yeah as the lead, do you think?

Speaker 4 (22:54):
I agree?

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (22:55):
The later on first Yeah, absolutely, they're just most recent
and just for example, like who had the first one
one of my I think it was to be and theneah,
like I.

Speaker 4 (23:06):
Think you forgot, well, I would hope.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
So it's a good sign that I can't remember.

Speaker 5 (23:15):
I think like when you have a first or early
one on one, you are almost expecting to either have
a double like two one on ones, and that's also
not guaranteed, or at some point something else that's like
more meaningful to like reinforce like that early connection, which
is again not guaranteed, So you're putting yourself in this
like like limbo of like is it going to happen?

Speaker 4 (23:35):
Is it not? And I just think, yeah.

Speaker 6 (23:37):
Yeah, it's just safer to go later on when you're like, okay, yeah,
hey this man got two back to back.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
Oh yeah you did.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
How do you both feel about the show that you
fell in love on is on pause?

Speaker 5 (23:53):
It is kind of sad, Like, I mean, i'd be
crazy to say it's not like it's it is our
love story, but like, yeah, I don't know. I think
it might be a good sign, you know, so that
things can just we just need some recalibration there, you know,
it's a little refreshing to fit in the grooves again.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
But yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 7 (24:13):
I mean, I obviously I wasn't in Bachelor World at
all until after the show when I started learning about it.
It makes a ton of sense for sure, Like, I
just think there's just a lot of things that need
to be tweaked. And even while we weren't during our season,
things were being tweaked, right you kind of saw that
saw Yeah, I saw it happening, So I guess it
sort of makes sense. And yeah, I don't want it
to be canceled. I hope they bring it back because

(24:35):
it is an amazing experience. Obviously, I wouldn't say that
before the show, but haven't been on it. Even for
all the guys who didn't get engaged, it was an
amazing experience.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
So I do hope that they.

Speaker 7 (24:45):
Keep it on, just I think need to make some
tweaks and maybe modernize it a little bit.

Speaker 6 (24:50):
Yeah, I think the Paradise break and then it coming
back this year if it goes well, we'll give some
hope to like, Okay Bachratt also.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
Taking a pause and then coming back.

Speaker 6 (25:01):
Yeah, just because we saw they did that with Paradise,
and you know, maybe it's gonna result in a better show.
Joe and I have been kind of speculating on like
who would have been Bacheorette had Bacherette been a thing
this year, because obviously we're watching the show being like, oh,
like this person would be get this person be good?

(25:22):
Who do you think could have been a good Batchette
or did you hear anything about who was maybe in
talks to me Bauchterrette.

Speaker 5 (25:28):
Okay, if we're speaking like girls from Grant season that
was at the tell all. I personally think Alex had
again she had a great one on one conversation with Jesse.
I thought that was like kind of like alluding to
possibly like, Okay, I don't know what's next for me,
like my love story continues, I think personally for me again,
I'm always reading for her.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
I think she would have been a great candidate.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
And then if they didn't go with you, would you
have said yes to Paradise?

Speaker 5 (25:52):
Ye?

Speaker 3 (25:53):
You would have said no, for sure.

Speaker 5 (25:54):
I'm telling you, I'm not a cat. I would actually
it would just be really bad for me. I would
be doing myself a disservice, as in, like how I
would have been acting.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
I would have been acting crazy down there.

Speaker 7 (26:08):
Yeah, but you know that after the fact, well exactly,
you'd have been like, I don't know what's going to happen,
and went I feel.

Speaker 6 (26:13):
Like it's hard to ask you that question because you've
now seen your friends go down and help played out.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
You'll be like, oh my god, let's go.

Speaker 5 (26:24):
First of all, the environment, I'm not the the humidity,
are you?

Speaker 2 (26:28):
You would not have liked the condition.

Speaker 5 (26:29):
It's the conditions alone would have That's what would have
sent me into the spiral. And then yeah, the bugs
and then again too possessive, sorry in a healthy way, but.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
Like a health way.

Speaker 4 (26:41):
What's mine is mine?

Speaker 2 (26:42):
Go away. You're perfect for the Bachelor. You're like, you're
all mine. Yeah, yeah, so I just yeah, okay.

Speaker 6 (26:51):
Well, closing off life updates, you guys are still in
Brooklyn you moved.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
Yes, it's crazy.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
We're still getting so would you like to talk about Yeah,
ever to get an apartment together?

Speaker 4 (27:05):
It does, and it.

Speaker 3 (27:06):
Does in New York cities perfectly.

Speaker 7 (27:08):
Just because like, yeah, you don't have a garage. It's
like all these things. So we're constantly just my guy
wearing things like okay, we need to have three shoes here.
We don't know where to put them.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
Yeah, we're put them on the wall and the ceiling
or something.

Speaker 7 (27:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (27:21):
The media console under my TV is literally just shoes
in person.

Speaker 5 (27:25):
Literally about like three different cabinets.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
It is. It's rough.

Speaker 7 (27:29):
And this one, this one is getting things faster than
we cut them away. Buying and gifted gifted, Like yeah,
but buying too. Let's be on buying buying gifted. So
like we're just slowly as we like put things away,
then there will be more more.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
You're like, okay, so we're just gonna lose this game.
Then I go when we go.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Away, when we go away for three days, I come back,
and I'm like, oh, I actually ordered something. Let me
see if I my package won't be there, and Serena
will have fifteen. And then I'm like, and I got
to carry up fifteen packages that aren't even fucking mine.

Speaker 4 (27:57):
No, it is my dog gets one compared to like
the twenty.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
It's just what I ordered from Amazon.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Okay, So that's it for this episode of Batchler Happy Hour.
