Speaker 1 (00:02):
Who hey man, good good, a little bit bright today.
But Frank camp for the guys who are doing it right, Yeah, No,
it's uh, it's been been a good start. New guys
coming in, it's beending good so far. How about you know,
(00:24):
looks like you've gotten bigger and you talk about and
go off what you bring. Yeah, I guess one of
the biggest things for me this offseason has wanted to
get a little bit more strength, put on a little
bit more weight. It's been good so far. Thought. I've
been doing a lot better in the weight room, put
on uh, I don't know, twelve to fifteen pounds, which
has been a pretty good off season. And you know,
(00:44):
I've just seen him now that we can get that
to correlade on the field as well. But it's been
a fun, pretty good off season so far. You're just
stick an red guard or a lea talk moving around
at all? Uh, I guess as far as I know,
I'm at right guard. But you know, f we gotta
move at all, it's I mean, we'll make that switches.
No big deal change since supposed to play on that
(01:08):
plod I I wouldn't say it's too much different. I
just you know, we don't really do two specialized of
workouts n more, just like O line in general. So really,
whatever they have on the sheet, whatever they ask us
to do, you know, they've thought about it and it's
gonna correlate to you, whether you're center, tackle or guards.
(01:30):
I definitely would say so. I mean, I thought, you know,
early in the season last year had swimming a little bit. Naturally,
you're a rookie, you know, you're kind of throwing into
the fire. But uh, I thought every single game got
a little bit better, a lot more confident in every game,
especially towards the end of the season there, right when
we all kind of started clicking as an offense and
as a team in general. So uh uh I even now,
just these OTAs the off season, you I think you
(01:52):
can notice that too. Just uh you feel a lot
more comfortable almost at the game is slowing down a
little bit, i'd say, but obviously still lot of work
still to be done. Help. Yeah, it feels great. I
mean it's just you know, you have more time to
you know, you're not thinking as much. You know, this
(02:14):
is what in the general scheme of things I have
to do on this play. Now you can start to
get down into some of the more finer techniques and
you know, do things that will help you out throughout
the play, not just you know, I'm gonna go block
this guy. So once it starts to slow down, you
can really I guess, hone in more on your techniques
and I guess just come along more as a player
your life. But it's been great, I mean just as guys,
(02:42):
they've been awesome, fun guys to get to know, good
vets to fun guys that actually just talk ball with
you as soon as my locker room mate. So we'll
just sit there and talk over some things and uh,
just as the conversation had me to a ben no
new guys like Elijah, it's been it's been fun. You know,
you get to uh, you get to know new guy
guys and no new guys as players as well, get
(03:02):
a new perspective on things, especially those guys coming from
different places. It's at Oh, he's been great so far.
It's been you know, it's always tough to come in
and learn a new system and whatnot, especially he kind
of gets thrown into it and he's been great. You
can tell he's he's taking the role on well, good
(03:26):
good vocal leader, I would say already, which is great
as a as a rookie two weeks into it. So
hopefully we can just keep making those small improvements and
keep kind of meshing as an a line wherever everyone
ends up. So far, so good. We've all really liked
what we've seen. You know, nothing drastically different than what
(03:47):
we've done in the past. Maybe you know, little tweaks
here and there, at least this far into the install
and I really think, you know, the run game I
should improve from last year, and just to kind of
little nuances we're putting in protections as well. It's all
kind of coming along so so far, work in progress,
but going in the right direction. So you know, it
(04:11):
took a little bit of time off just let the
body recover, think you absolutely have to do that, and
then just came back down here and worked in the
weight room. Tristan Luke were in there, so those are
great guys to lift with. Trying to just keep up
with what Tristan's doing. You're never gonna do it, but
it's kind of a good goal to have, you know,
just keep up with him. So I was just hanging
around those guys and just really dialing into what they
(04:33):
have on the card and workout card and just you know,
doing that to the best of your ability. Nothing really
too drastic, just typical. You know, X amount of calories,
no idea how many of that is, but protein shakes,
all that kind of stuff. Just typical stuff, nothing too crazy,
just I guess more dedicated with what I'm doing in
(04:55):
the weight room. Those are a little bit of gallent
time rookie you training for the draft and the drafts
and yeah, I mean just that break in general was
so nice physically but also mentally. You know, you're doing
football from you know, your last true break was really
the summer before your senior to college season, so to
(05:17):
get that time off was great for the body, but
also just mentally you can just completely reset enough to
the point where you know, everyone starts showing up here
for the optional workouts and you're just ready to play
ball again. You know, it's not like it's dragging on
or anything. You're like excited, You're r ready to get
after it. So, uh, that time off was really nice,
but we're all ready to get going. I went up home,
(05:38):
hung out with the family for a little while. We
had did a couple of trips as well, just typical stuff,
but got to finally see some of my younger siblings
play some of their games, you know, basketball games and whatnot.
So it's that's kind of stuff that sucks to miss
out on being so far away from home. But yeah,
they really appreciated when I was able to make it back.
So it's fun to watch that with that. No, they
(06:00):
tried to my dad kind of made a joke and
said that, but I'm like, you know, maybe I'll just
take a couple of years off from that, and he
was he was pretty okay with that. So, uh, I
did it. I do miss it. I do miss getting
in the tractor and and helping out on the farm.
So one day, one day, doing good, doing good, got
all of our crops in, so it's uh, it's been
a good spring. Got a little bit of rain too.
It's been fun. Thank you guys.
