Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to another episode of Busy Babes with Hannah and Sid.
You're listening to another episode of Busy Babes. We are back,
we are better, we are refreshed, and we are ready
to tackle some really important topics today, huge topics. It's
(00:21):
gonna be huge. It's gonna be huge, huge. It has
been a very long time since we have sat here
and conversed. I bet listeners many, many of our listeners
thought we were never returning. Me included me, included as well.
And then one day we were just like, ah, what
(00:42):
the heck, imagine if I go story times. So we
had a falling out. We actually weren't friends for like
two months. No, that's actually the opposite. We have spent
more time more in the last two months, which is
why we have not been here. We're together so much
we can't podcast, which is the irony of it all.
(01:04):
It is very ironic, but so much life has happened
from the last podcast to this podcast, including a birthday
that I had to think about that for a second.
Oh my gosh, it was my birthday. Yes, yeh, I
didn't remember. Yeah, you're right, and I went brunette. Yes, yes,
(01:27):
so like I look so different, and it was so
funny because no one recognizes me anymore. This is actually
a body double. I changed podcasts. I know, no, no, no,
My blonde was my Audie and my brunette is my
Inny get to that land. Okay, okay. Later, I was
gonna start us off with a hot take, but it's
not as relevant as I as this conversation has progressed.
(01:50):
Oh that's okay, shoot your shot. Okay. Well, on our
drive in today, I was listening to the latest Call
Her Daddy episode. Have you listened to it when with
chapol Roam, Oh no, I'm not. It just came out though. Okay,
so we're gonna back it up a little bit. But
for context, our pod today is we just want to
cover some of like the Ins and Out to twenty five,
(02:11):
twenty twenty five, because it's been on my it's been
on your mind, it's been on my mind. I have thoughts,
you have thoughts. We have differing opinions, which Hannah's usually right. No, yes,
we'll see. We'll leave it to the jury. And chapel
Roone is on one of my like one of the
people that I was thinking of, like Ins and Out
like twenty twenty four, she was huge twenty twenty five
(02:33):
and are out. But my question was, if you listen
to the podcast episode today, I didn't like her, and
I was like, I was expecting. Maybe it's because my
expectations were too high, but I was expecting this huge personality.
Like I just I was like, like, kind of cringe. Interesting. Well,
(02:54):
I'm gonna have to give it a watch. Yeah, because
I saw I saw the promo for it, and I
was like, oh my gosh, myke I had to listen
Slash watch that one. But I think that's kind of
her though it's it is she is a little bit
more like you'll have to listen, Okay, I'll listen. But
she is very like artsy melancholy kind of vibe. Very melancholy. Yeah,
(03:15):
like very melancholy. Interesting, So is chaperoan in or she out?
Is she? I'm gonna get really confused between innies and
oudies like the Bucky button. No, I know it's about
I didn't watch Severance, but I know what I had. Yeah,
because because you haven't watched Severance, I was gonna say,
I guess I'll bring this up now. Severance totally in
(03:37):
twenty twenty five, so in it is the best show
I've seen in a long time. But I know you
haven't seen it, and I think I was like, oh
my gosh, like and i started reverencing innies and Audi's
and I'm like, do you know what that is? And
i was like, I'm cultured anyway out for me? So wait,
hear you saying Severance is out. Severance is out season.
(04:00):
It's like gone for good. Oh so you're saying it's
now out. No, it's not gone for good. They have
like three more seasons. They're just not out yet. The finale,
you know, no, no, no, no, Severns is still very much
in it, just like a continued in. I'll have to
get Parker's take on it, because he watches these shows.
I stick to comedy and that. Yeah, yeah, I know,
(04:23):
I I kind of suck, but I I like these
long form series though, that are really gripping something to
look forward. Oh interesting. I hate it. I feel like
I'm so tense all day. I want to watch something
that makes me forget about being tense. Severance does make
me tense. Can't do it? Pass? Wow? Pass. Parker watches
(04:45):
this one show. It was like he watches like all
the trending shows, and I don't even know what they are,
but some of them are so gory and like so
stressful that I hide under the blanket and I'm like,
I can't, I can't, I can't lesten. I have to
go in the other room. I cannot be part of
this because my like tension just keeps climbing. Maybe that's
just anything, but I can't do it.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Huh.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Yeah, No, I get that, especially this last episode of
The Fine, like of the finale, I was gripping my seat.
I was so stressed. I was like, oh my, I
won't say anything, but I'm like, oh my gosh, this
is crazy. Nope. I like the crappy rom coms that
have like the same little town and the same crappy storyline,
(05:28):
just different versions. Love Sweet Magnolias on Netflix. That one's
super cute. Okay. I'm like anything that's like I can
watch and like skip twenty minutes of and come back
to it. I'm still happy, you know. Yeah, Okay, Light
Near keep. I mean, I I go to bed every night,
or right before I go to bed every night, I
turn on the Office, Yeah, and I fall asleep to
(05:50):
the Office I wish we had a TV in our bedroom,
but Parker said no, it was the biggest game change.
TV's in your room in in in Park, gonna get ready.
This is the entire episode. By the way, I canna
come home one day. It's just a TV. Mount is just
so dumb, because like Simon and I, like, our house
(06:10):
is pretty small, and we have a TV in the
other room, like our living room. Okay, but you have
the world's largest TV I've ever that's see. That's what
I'm saying. Though. It's like then you like take two
steps over to our bedroom and there's another TV. But
we're in our bedroom watching TV more because it's so cozy. Okay,
I'm gonna paint the picture. Hannah doesn't have a living room.
She has a small movie theater with the size of
(06:31):
this television. And I wish I was kidding, what is
the size of this TV? And it's eighty five Okay,
thank you, I rest my case. Good night. That's but
that's what I'm saying. I'm like, oh no, that just
makes me sound terrible, but I just I'm telling you, though,
even if you have a big TV and you have
like a smaller TV in your room. The smaller TV
is better. Trust, I was like I could thrift like
(06:53):
one of those, not the old TVs. Is that like
shar Comes Home. It's like a thrifted vintage television in
your room. Actually, the Twilight's on television. It is so
nice though, because then I literally because I fall asleep
to every movie, every movie, no matter what, I fall
asleep to every show. No, like, this is just something
(07:14):
that something I struggle with, uh, And that's why I
just like loved turning on a happy show like The
Office and I fall like conks me out. Last night
I tre on Chopped though chop. Okay, food Network is
a safety channel. Yes, okay, what Sydney and I do.
So when Sydney and I travel together for work, one
thing that her and I both mutually do is we
turn the Food Network on in our hotel room and
(07:37):
we leave it on all night, all night. Yeah. But
actually I've been getting fed up with the paid programming.
I'm really tired of waking up at three am to
like the next Chopped, not like the Chopped kitchen, but
like the Chopper thing. So I've switched. I've switched from
the paid programming on Food Network to a Disney channel.
Oh you did start to being it? I did, and
(07:57):
then I watched started watching Bluie and I was like,
really good, it was real good. Yeah, I can't. I
wish we still had Old Disney Channel and not New
Disney Channel. See that's that's not gonna cut it for me.
If it was like Sweet Life as Zack and Cody
at like three am, yes, you know what they should do. Disney,
if you're listening, hear me out. What you should do
(08:18):
was what Nickelodeon used to do, which is Nick at Night,
but have adults and just do reruns of your old
nostalgic show. What I was going to call it just
now I'm scared. Don't you dare say what I think
you're gonna say? No, d N they could change it
(08:41):
from Disney to Disney. You really went with d night.
They favorite night of the week. I love from that
whole concept, that's what you took away. It was like
the first creative concept that came into my head too,
And like that must mean it's it's it, that's it
(09:05):
literally so brilliant. Okay, So Disney, if you're listening, just
the thought it would really help me out when we're traveling. Yeah,
but not to take us too off track, but basically
where the ins and outs? Right? So in out of
that little brief tangent was TV's, TV's in your room,
the long circle, TV's I've got another one for you.
(09:27):
Oh do you know? And it's an out? Oh what
is it? Eggs? Well, I'm bringing this. I'm bringing this
up for a reason. The bird flu also says eggs
are out. I'm bringing this up for a reason. It's
because this is come This concept of eggs has come
up between Syny and I quite a bit because I
(09:49):
I don't like eggs for the most part. And yes,
and I know this, and I often get bamboozled in
our breakfast order. So I, if you serve me, okay,
let me lay this out for you. Sorry, this is
such a serve me if you so, dare serve me
eggs on the side, like scrambled or uh fried? Dare
(10:14):
I say canceled? Actually that's okay, poached. I won't love it, though,
What about a little egg and a little egg holder?
Like yeah, okay, maybe yeah, maybe maybe Okay, that's like
the most egg formed horror boiled hard boiled. Okay, actually yeah, no,
I do a little heart boil. That's what's so funny.
We were we were traveling recently and I ordered hard
boiled eggs and I was like, yes, please. That's why
(10:34):
this that's why this concept is a little bit confusing
no for me, and I need more people to get
behind me on this because I don't understand why. I'm one,
I think, the only one I've ever spoken to who
feels so strongly about this. And when I say eggs
are out, I mean eggs in specifically breakfast burritos or
(10:57):
breakfast taco or in a goddamn sand witch a sandwich.
You're out. I'm sorry, hold on, so paw, so pause
and rewind because last week I watched you eat a
egg sandwich from Starbucks. Okay, yeah, I can't okay, so
(11:17):
yeah Starbucks.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
And then threw you trash away eggs sandwich, no artificial
egg okay, real egg, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs specifically in
like a breakfast briedo.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
I literally can't hand. It's so native whysome. You are
not bringing the facts to the table basically all at all.
Whenever I'm with Sydney, actually, when I remember whenever I'm
with anyone period and I order a let's say, a
breakfast brito. I order it with no egg and people
(11:55):
lose their bloody minds about it. Well, because she's told
me this probably like fifteen times by now, No, I
don't need eggs. But then we go and she's like ooh,
breakfast burritos and I'm like yeah, I'm like you want
to split and she's like okay, but I don't want
egg and I'm like god, I So then people are
like what they start like having a mental breakdown because
(12:15):
they're like, what's in your burrito?
Speaker 2 (12:17):
Then?
Speaker 1 (12:17):
What's in your brito? Yeah, potatoes, potatoes, cheese, chorriso, bacon,
depend somewhere you go really okay. We were so we
traveled recently together. We were in Austin for work, and
I will say, Austin has your back on eggless too.
It goes for breakfast vegetable, charizo and bean. Yeah. So
(12:41):
it is a thing, and so I just need more
people to back me up, like, and I think people
won't it is because it is so weird because they're like, well,
then what makes it breakfast? I'm like, it's still breakfast
to me, Like okay, story time very brief. So my
we have, like my family has these really good family
friends that are basically family at this point. They're like
(13:01):
our siblings. And when my mom would when we would
have sleepovers, my mom would babysit us one of the
girl like it was like the girl was the same
age as the same age as me, and then the
boy is the same age as my brother, and so
we would all have sleepovers. My mom would make everyone eggs,
and like my friend who's basically my sister, she refused
(13:23):
to eat the eggs. She's like, eat eggs. I won't
eat the eggs. And my mom was like, no, you're
eating the eggs. And my mom was like so adamant
about her eating these eggs because like my mom's best
friend is her mom. So she's like, no, like, what
the heck eat your eggs. She actually really hates eggs,
and she's been like vegetarian, vegan on and off for
(13:44):
the last like I don't know how many years, but
eggs have maintained a constant. My mom thought she was
just being stubborn. No eggs. I consistently, I consistently have
beef beef with eggs. More I can Okay, here it
is here, it is guys. Here, it is guys. I
consistently have beef with eggs at breakfast time, which is
(14:06):
the most ironic because that's what you have, your eggs. Okay,
that statement confused me so bad. And so with that,
we'll be right back. We're back, and we're back with
another chaotic segment that you didn't see that coming. We're
just gonna continue this ride of ins and outs of
twenty twenty five, whether that be televisions in your room, eggs. Sorry,
(14:30):
that one was just really on my mind. Yeah, we
did to go down a little bit of a rabbit
hole there, and it's still going to go down a
rabbit hole. So, but you had one. I actually just
thought of a different one, Oh I did. Okay. Crock Pots,
crock pots rock in or out. Crock Pots are in.
They are here to stay, baby, They are an American stable.
(14:52):
The funny, the absolute irony of you saying that is
that I made a crockpot meal last night. Perhaps it
was from the picture that I got was it looked delicious.
And it's only because so Simon, I got a crockpot
when we got married four years ago, and I have
never once opened that crockpot until last night because I
(15:12):
had Simon got this like chuck of meat, and I'm like,
I don't know how to cook this. Light bulb boom.
Maybe I'll throw her in the cockpot and see what
she produces. What if he was just wanting a crockpot
meal and he's like, this is a piece of meat.
She's gonna have to really figure out and it's gonna
end up in the crowd. That's not what his mindset
(15:33):
was at all. He's just like, oh, this looks like
a hefty piece of steak. I'm like, this is a crockpots.
I mean when I look near mind, it was basically
a pot roast of sorts. So I was like, Okay, confused,
but I think I can get behind that. Okay, in
multi use, you can make it for Queso. Yes, could
do tacos, buffalo chicken. Oh yeah yeah, dip it took
(15:54):
a long time for my brain process or just buffalo chicken,
hot coco. You got Oh, let me just say tay
and stock. I love making my own stock stock. Okay,
you're up next. Mmm, Okay, I have an in press
(16:15):
on nails. I'm aligned. I get this have been wearing
press on nails for over a year, not the same ones. Gosh,
dang it, No keeps repainting them. She's sick, she's sick. No, no, no, no,
it's it's cheaper. It's cheaper to buy new press on
(16:36):
nails from Amazon then to get your nails done every
two weeks. No, I fully agree, and they last like
like the ones. The ones that I have on now
are phenomenal in they last two weeks. People don't know this.
They don't know this. No, and they're so trendy and
they're like so much thicker than they used to be.
I just remember them. They used to be like so
(16:59):
flimsy and look, why would you want to wear them?
But now and they up their Mine don't come off.
And I don't know if people are just making pressons
better now. I don't know why. I think more brands
have come out for one, but it is crazy. So
getting your nails done at a salon is out, unless
it's a pedicure. I do love a pedicure, but like
(17:19):
getting your nails done, you know, the ACRYLICX whatever it
is out press ons in. I am so aligned with
that thought process, so aligned because I've also been doing
my nails at home. I mean I've elevated from like
the press on to the more permanent press ons, which
I call jel x, which I mean those are just
press ons that like stick longer, like that's that's it,
(17:41):
and you do the color yourself. Yours look really good,
thank you. I was ripped apart earlier by someone who
knows way more about nails than I do. It wasn't me, guys,
it wasn't. It was the pause sounded like it was me.
It wasn't. And I will say, he was so on point.
You were like, wow, it was very deserved. You're like,
I thought no one else noticed that little error. I'm knowing.
(18:02):
I was like, damn, he came prepared, he came so funny.
I have another one, yes, ma'am an in what's your in?
So mine and Simon our wedding anniversary is next month,
and we were trying to figure out what we wanted
to do, and after much research and debating on what
(18:28):
would be the best little you know, like mini vacation
so to speak, would be so fun to do together,
we landed on drum roll please, a cruise. So all
that to say, I think now, well, I'm hesitant to
say cruises are in. Cruises are in because so many
(18:49):
people think cruises are out. No, because I literally know
someone so we want to wacko who helps us, bless
him do all of this for us. He's going on
a cruise. I know someone who literally just left for
a cruise two day and then you're going on a cruise.
And then you also know someone who's going on a cruise.
What is a cruise is? Yeah, so maybe they are in.
I just so, I just know a lot of people
(19:10):
who are super negative towards cruises as well. Okay, well,
hater's gonna hate so well, I haven't been on one
ever in my life, so I'm so excited. They're pretty legit. Also,
my parents just took a cruise in September. Okay, so
I guess it's just I guess it. Y'all are making
me want to go on a cruise. Okay, that's all.
It might be the best vacation ever. I Cruises are in.
(19:31):
We will real debrief when you come back. We're just
doing a five day one. It leaves, you know, from
Long Beach and goes to Mexico. It'll it's it's it's
really chill, but I am stoked. I'm so excited. So
if anyone comes for me, they're like, oh my god,
she's on a cruise, get out, get out, because I'm
(19:55):
so excited. I know, I'm actually very envious. I'm like, damn,
why didn't I think of that? This is pretty cool
one thins of it, And it's not expensive. It's not
comparatively to other things you could be doing. That's very true,
Like it's kind of like all inclusive. My only fear
is getting like seasick or lost at sea. Mine currently,
at the very current moment, is food poisoning, and there's
(20:17):
safe ways around that, Like just eat bread and crackers
all day, every day for five days. Just don't. That's
not vacation, Like don't eat like raw food on like
day one, Like don't go for like the savchi, go
for like a cooked option. There's this whole person that
does like food traveling, like foods to avoid to avoid
food poisoning in other countries because other countries prepare their
(20:39):
food differently than we do. Okay, well that's insightful. It's
like a real thing, so it's not like a silly fear. Yeah, Okay,
that's fair. Yeah, I think I have the last one
for us, unless there's any any more that you had
in that noggin. Those were just my main call outs. Well,
I have an in for us in inta reels. Yes, yes,
(21:04):
So are you saying that Instagram posts are out? No,
I just think that Instagram reels have really taken off. Yeah.
I love making reels. I love them. I don't know
how it does take. I mean, if you want to
put it together a really thoughtful reel, it does take
time longer than maybe a post would. I don't even
(21:27):
know the app. I don't know what to do. I
don't know what to use. I need a full one
one spiraling because you're like, oh my gosh, I need
to start making reels. Yes, because I'm like, oh, reels
look so fun. And then I well, first off, have
you seen me try to record myself do anything. It's
a nightmare. Second, because I'm like, oh, I want to
do like something like I don't know. Like I told
Hannah about this at the beginning of the year. I
(21:48):
wanted to be more active on socials and I want
to She had a whole plan. She had a whole
social plan. I know I've put together his social plan,
the City Novak Social Plan anyway, I digress, I don't.
I was like, well, shit, where do I start, Like
what I made one for when I went to Disney
World with my mom? Yeah, and it was I would
(22:08):
say six out of ten. Okay, it was like your
grandparents trying to figure out how to do something for
the first time on Instagram. I was like, this is okay,
but we committed, so I need Hannah's help, I know,
but like it, I don't know. I think people put
way too much pressure on that videos hard. It just is, well,
(22:31):
what I made video is harder than harder than photos.
When I am Instagram famous by the end of this year, okay,
just no, it's because of Hannah. That's so generous. She
doesn't Oh she doesn't know this now, but I'm attaching
to her on Instagram Rails from here on out here.
Speaking of Instagram, did the Busy Babes hotline get any
feedback regarding their ins and outs for twenty twenty five?
(22:54):
You know, it's a great question, Hannah. I'm gonna be
very real with our audience right now, sweating three of
you responded three three three, where are our people? I'm
starting to think no one listens. Sorry, anybody out there,
no one listens. If you made it this far, let
(23:16):
us know, because I don't know. I don't know if
you're listening. If you are, send a DM and just
say I'm a listener. It's so simple. Or just respond
to our questions that we put for the Busy Babes Hotline. Yeah, yeah,
you know number one supporter, number one supporter, this guy
(23:36):
named Parker. Who's he? I'm just kidding. No, he responds
to everything and my husband doesn't even have Instagram and
so he doesn't even know what's going on. You know,
we have a podcast. E didn't even know I changed
my hair. No, I'm just kidding. I but like, yeah,
you can even use the talk back feature of the
(23:56):
iHeartRadio app and send us comment. You think it's easy
coming up with these topics, we need your help. You
see how chaotic this episode was. If you like this,
let us know. If you didn't like this, let us know.
It's as simple as that. So with that said, we
hope to be back soon, yes, ma'am, question Mark with
(24:22):
more fun, silly little content because that's what we love doing.
We love just being silly. Goofy and sharing our thoughts
for anybody that's out there, for anyone that's out there, anybody,
And with that, I bid you adio for now, anio
some gooes. Bye,
